teehee afternote from the tags below lmao
i maxxed out the tags by accident but it ended up being the last one i wanted to put in there anyways... but then i got sad i couldnt add more so that would've been another tag to add but then it wouldn't have been necessary? love that
i do like the posting ui. u can save drafts and it actually keeps ur tags, add the post to the post queue, also can set to post at a specific time/date very cool! there's good colors to choose from too! u can super easily add pictures gifs links audioclips make polls and you can make a break in the page for optional more content for the readers. that could negate the tag thing but we all know there's the shows and book and movies etc. that have a million characters and 30 wouldn't be enough for all the characters LMAOOO
ANYWHOOOOO time to learn how to fix this and get hired at tumblr to sort out the tag situation
also also first post that isn't a repost i think? omg mom look im doing it am i doing it right?

Whumptober Day11(oopsie🥲)
(Captivity)
Three days later is actually crazzzy
Also, shout of to @skyloftian-nutcase because they made that fanfic when Warriors challenges Fierce to a drinking contest and because their content is top tier in general and I could never write like them
It was blurry here. It was dark here. It was quiet here too. No, someone was talking, but it was muffled. Not for long.
“Is he alive?”
“I don’t know. He’s all beaten…and bruised. Poor boy…”
He moved his arms to brace his body, but he couldn’t hold himself up. He heard frantic small, desperate tweets from near his head. At least his companion wasn’t hurt.
Ravio coughed and tasted the bitterness of his own blood. He tried to fight back. He tried to resist, but he failed. Of course he did.
He raised himself and soon felt arms around his torso. He sucked in a breath at the pain he felt.
“It’s alright, hon. I got you,” her voice was soft like clay on a rainy day. He could see the red of her hair and the gentleness in her eyes. “We were all thrown in here. Let’s get you settled, yeah?”
He couldn’t help the question that came out of his mouth, “Who are you…?”
“My name is Malon,” the lady who was holding him said.
“It’s Niko,” a short guy gave him a two finger salute.
Another red head waved. He was hunched in the corner, his limbs also bruised and his glasses cracked. “Shad.”
Ravio saw bruises and cuts on everyone in this cell. No one had gone willingly.
Ravio was sitting on his knees now and was actually able to look around. Still unconscious on the other side of the cell, was a big bird. A very big bird. Ravio pointed to it. “What…?”
“His name is Tulin,” A fairly burly guy said. His hair was also a very deep red. Tulin’s head rested on his thigh. “I’m Groose.”
Everyone stared at him for a while before Malon spoke. “What’s your name?”
Ravio fell out of his daze. “Oh! Ravio.” Malon nodded.
“So, do we all know why we're here, or do I have to explain?” Malon looked around at everyone.
“Please explain,” Ravio wheezed.
“Well, I’ll use myself as an example.” Malon stood up. “I’m married to the Hero of Time. From what Shad tells me, he’s also close to the hero of his time. And, of course, the boys are off on some journey to kill some shadow thing.”
“So they captured us to use us as bait.” Groose finished with a scoff. “Typical.”
Niko paced back and forth. “How’s it going Shad?”
“Not good. If I count in the surveillance that we’ve seen and the strength in which our enemies have, everything is going to have to go flawlessly in order for us to get out of here. No hiccups, no setbacks.”
“Plus, there’s only six of us and there’s nine of them…?” Ravio added.
Malon snapped and pointed at Ravio. “You’re right. We can’t leave until everyone they want is here.”
Groose and Niko nodded. “That also means more arm power and-“
The cell grew silent when the distant sounds of grunting and annoyed moans echoed through the hall.
“Don’t waste your strength,” a deep voice said.
The higher voice must’ve dismissed the other voice's words. The higher voice echoed with the sound of struggle.
Inevitably, the voices gained a face to Ravio. The calmer, deeper voice was one of an old man. He was bulky, as if he’d worked in a coal mine his whole life. The second, higher voice was one of a woman. Her red eyes were piercing all of the eyes that she met.
After they reached the cell bars, they threw the woman at the metal bars. They did this twice. Ravio winced along with everyone else. Though, the woman was still conscious. However, with how she stumbled on her feet, it was obvious she wouldn’t be conscious for long.
The moblins opened the door and threw the woman in. Malon caught her before she could hit the ground. They only shoved the older man in.
They slammed the cell door shut. Groose let out a breath. Then, another figure stepped up to the bars. “Hello.” His skin was black. His tunic too, and his cap. Though, his eyes were red. Ravio heard Malon scoff.
“What do you want?” Why was she asking a question that she already knew the answer to?
“Well, capturing all of you was far easier than I thought it to be. I hope your stay has been fun.”
“It’s been far too welcoming, thank you.” Shad huffed.
A monster came around the corner with a chair, some paper, and a pen. The Shadow sat in his chair and began to write. He tapped his pen on his chin.
“What should I put? Hello heroes? No…” Shadow hummed. “Ah! Dearest fiends!” He wrote it down.
Eyes met each other inside the cell. Soon enough, Malon spoke. “Ransom note, huh?”
“Glad you’re smarter than you look, horse girl.”
Malon looked over to Shad. He shook his head. He wanted this plan to be able to get everyone out of here alive. That wouldn’t happen if Tulin was still unconscious, the woman was on the brink of unconsciousness, and he didn’t know what assets the others had. He needed more time with everyone.
But knowing their Links, they knew they would rush head first into danger if someone they loved could be hurt or worse.
The Shadow sat there, writing his ransom note. They were running out of time. The boys would pose a suicide mission, some were sure of it. Soon enough, the Shadow left them be, finally satisfied with his letter to the nine tired heroes.
Niko sat beside Shad’s side, reviewing and helping create a plan for escape. Tulin had awoken maybe an hour ago. The woman, Impa, also became fully conscious, and the old man, Smith, began to scrape big stones on the ground, hoping to make weapons out of them. Groose helped him out. Ravio sat near the giant bird in silence. Part of him was nervous, the other part was very nervous. Ravio let the real adults do stuff, Tulin became restless after being told three times to sit and let himself rest.
“Ravio!” His eyes met Niko’s. Ravio crawled over to Niko and Shad’s side.
“Yeah?”
“When you were brought here, did you see anything like a lever or a trapdoor?” Niko asked him.
Ravio didn’t even think that he was conscious when he was brought here…
“I think that I did,” Smith’s voice startled Ravio. “Two corridors down, on the right. Looked like a trapdoor.”
“That’s what I said!” Niko turned back to Shad. “That’s a possible escape route.” Shad nodded and scratched at the stone floor with a rock. Looking closer, they were making a map. “It’s right here. Right Smith?”
Smith’s eyes removed itself from his own scraping to look at the embedded map. He stared for a second, contemplating the placement of Niko’s finger, and then nodded.
Niko nodded to Shad. “It looks like a cellar entrance if you ask me.” Shad hummed.
“However, we should not make haste to rely upon this route. We are blind to what it truly leads to,” Shad said, tapping his rock on the cut he made for that trapdoor.
Looking around, everyone was busy now. Tulin was making sure that his wings, and therefore mobility, were sharp. Groose and Smith were down to the last two rocks that could be turned into knives. Malon and Impa were having some sort of conversation in a farther corner. Ravio was…he was lost. The others had found a place here so quickly and yet, Ravio was lost.
“There!” Shad suddenly shouted. Everyone scrambled to that side of the cell. Shad laid out the plan with Niko’s help. They said ways and paths that were the exact opposite of the way Shad’s finger was going. Ravio’s head was buzzing.
When they were finally gone and everyone agreed that this plan was great, Ravio finally asked, “Why were you doing that thing with your finger?”
Impa leaned into his ear, “That thing left something here after his little letter. It might be a camera.”
Ravio didn’t know what a camera was, but he kept his mouth shut.
“All right,” Malon smiled and so did Ravio. “Everyone, get some rest. We’ll need it for tomorrow. We leave after breakfast.”
Sleeping was nearly impossible for Ravio. New people, stone floors, small pebbles poking at his side, this entire day has only gotten worse and worse.
First, he gets scammed, then his scammer beats him up half to death, now, he’s here. He’s rotting away in the prison cell and his hero can’t save him…
“Psst!” It came from his left side. “Ravio, right?” It whispered.
Ravio kept his eyes shut, hoping whoever it was would leave him alone.
“I know that you’re awake! Your little bird keeps poking me! Tell it to stop!” It sounded like a child. Well, Tulin was a child. Children also tended to shake people awake.
“What?!” Ravio squeaked. It was supposed to be intimidating, but Tulin laughed.
“Listen dude, I’ve fought a dragon before. Just tell the small guy to leave me alone!” Tulin whispered.
Ravio pushed his companion away from Tulin. However, Sheerow bounced back to Tulin. They both groaned. Sheerow chirped as if trying to mimic their sighs. Ravio picked up Sheerow, holding them close to him.
“He’s just a…bigger little guy, okay?” He spoke to his bird.
“I never understood why Hylians had pet birds. Link said that he once had a crow friend…” Tulin looked off to the side, a sad look on his face.
“Are you alright?” Ravio found himself asking the boy.
“Kinda. Kinda not. You know, with being beaten and kidnapped and stuff.”
“Yeah. That part sucked.”
The two giggled.
“Yeah,” Tulin said. “What’s your Link like? I call my Link, Uncle Link.” Ravio’s eyebrow raised. “He’s my dad’s friend. He’s not my blood…I think. But he’s taught me so much! He used to come to the flight range just so I could watch him shoot arrows! Master Ravali sounds cool and stuff, but Uncle Link is just…better, I guess, to me.”
Ravio tapped on his chin. “Well, me and my Link met during one of his adventures. I’d love to call him my friend and, I’m sure, somewhere in there, he thinks the same for me. Even if he comes off a little…snarky, he can be sweet. I’ve seen him while he’s on his sweet side…” Ravio giggled. “He’s also an idiot.”
The two heard a series of laughter around the cell. It seems that they had eavesdroppers.
“My Link decided to challenge a god
to a drinking contest. He’s the worst,” Impa said.
“The guy’s a sarcastic ass too!” Groose added. “Nice hair,” Nice hat, Green Boy!” More laughs echoed through the cell.
“My Link likes to scream at full moons sometimes. He says that it’s “part of his heritage”; it's certainly ridiculous!” Shad laughed.
“When Link was smaller than he is now, he used to stare into my forge’s fire. Once day, he tried to touch it! That boy truly is something!” Smith’s laughed sounded similar to one you would like Santa Claus had.
Soon, the talking stopped and everyone went to sleep, ready to see their Links the next day.

Let's go with the Rito flagship Revalink for 001
And Mipha for 002
001: Revalink
Hehehe, oh boy here we go...
So I got BotW back in March 2021, and by mid-April-ish had started Age of Calamity. Just before I did the "Calamity Strikes" mission is when the brainworms for "The Realm Walker" started burrowing. I wrote short story versions of what would become "The Ballad of Kass" and an unintended longfic "The Tale of the Realm Walker." (It was going to be the Cliff Notes version but blew up into me making a whole damn Zelda game basically, a ~200 page thing that I still haven't wrote the ending for, and that I'm trying to rewrite as soon as I settle on which of like four different versions to go with...)
I wasn't active in the Zelda fandom at this point (which is how I went 4 years with no spoilers and having no idea about the game's story), and had no idea Revalink was a thing, but Link and Revali becoming friends over the course of my fic was something that needed to happen. It was honestly part of the reason I wrote it other than general "What if the Champions were possessed and Link could save them?" and "Oh, let me reuse this concept from this Zelda/Final Fantasy crossover idea I had ages ago!" (Ildia basically...)
One random comment on some fan art in late January 2022 started a very long conversation, and I got introduced to some fanfics by @coconi and others, all Revalink. This got me on AO3 and more or less into the ship...
So that's a long way to answer the first question... Sometime in 2022 is when I was introduced to the ship.
My thoughts: Hmm... I think that, had Revali lived and the game been something like older Zeldas with companions, then Link and Revali would have had the chance to come to an understanding. Revali was basically projecting his own issues onto Link, because Link wouldn't even acknowledge him by saying anything or even emoting. This ruffled his feathers, so it's part of the reason he was such a jerk. Had they traveled together, they could have become friends, or at least frienemies. (Kinda like Groose in Skyward Sword perhaps. Actually you could kind of mirror Link and Midna's relationship too, where at first she's just using him and full of snark and they bond over the course of the game. Or Link and Tatl (I think I got that right? The fairy from Majora's Mask in any case...)
What makes me happy about them: Them being friends. Revali having issues expressing his feelings (or being in total denial) and Link being totally oblivious. I like the fics where Link trades snark with Revali.
What makes me sad about them: Revali dying, and the fact that they never had a chance to understand one another (in canon, while Revali was alive anyway).
Things done in fanfic that annoy me: I haven't encountered anything about them yet that I could say annoys me. Well there was a fic, "A Memory Scavenger Hunt," that had Link being super angsty towards the end and not talking about his problems and that was stressing Revali out. I was shouting at my computer that Link just needed to tell him what was going on. But I guess that's a good kind of annoyance, hahaha!
Things I look for in fanfic: I can't say I look for anything in particular.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Hmm... As I'm not much of a shipper, I suppose it doesn't much matter. Though I do put Revali and Bedoli together in my fic. I mentioned one time that I didn't want a Link-Mipha-Zelda love triangle and someone suggested Link/Paya, and yeah I could see that (or Link/Mipha, or Link/Zelda). Haven't figured out what I'm doing with Link on that front yet...
My happily ever after for them: Them coming to an understanding and being friends or friendly rivals (platonic version). If I were to do a Revalink AU of my fic (an AU of an AU if you will), they'd get together and have Bedoli and Paya surrogate children, Medah (Revali and Bedoli's daughter) would grow up to be a melee fighter to be like Papa Link while Link/Paya's kid would grow up to be an archer like Papa Revali. I just think that's a cute idea... Not gonna write it though, got way too much work to do on the regular version hahaha!
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Revali's the big spoon. Link's wrapped up in fluffy warm Rito wings for sure. Revali's probably got his beak in Link's hair.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Well since Link likes cooking then them just chilling and eating together. That or braiding, etc. each other's hair. Maybe training/sparing?
For 002, Mipha
How I feel about this character: Hm... I'mma refer you to a later question on this...
All the people I ship romantically with this character: As someone who's not a shipper, I don't have any real preferences I guess. Link cause why not? I've never read Miphvali fics, but wouldn't have anything against it...
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Why not Link? They are most certainly close friends. In fact, I'll spoil things for my fic (even more I guess, though it's already posted so perhaps not as much of a spoiler?) but before the Great Calamity, Link thought of Mipha as his big sister. Had no idea she was romantically interested in him and was stunned to realize this fact when he remembers her. "How could I have been so dense?! It was so obvious she had feelings for me!" Him trying to figure out how to tell this to her, as well as figure out his current feelings is a big thing in "Shifting Tides of Fate."
My unpopular opinion about this character: I honestly wasn't that impressed with her when I first played BotW. I was like, "Zora princess wants to marry Link, didn't you guys do this already?" Just using BotW, I'd have ranked the Champions like so:
Urbosa (loved her the moment I saw her memory cutscene and just loved her more during her post-Divine Beast freeing monologue)
Revali (Well the Rito are my favorite Zelda race, and I did want to see what all the fuss was about (had seen a little bit of fanart of him). Was like "oh no he's a jerk!" but he has more personality than the other two...)
Daruk (meh)
Mipha (meh)
Now this isn't to say I dislike Daruk or Mipha, it's just that they don't get enough screen time or stand out really. After playing Age of Calamity I actually got attached to the Champions, cause, you know, you could play as them and they got some significant screen time. So I reordered them...
Urbosa (still my fave even if I don't use her that much)
Revali (kinda liked the "unfinished business from an interrupted duel" thing)
Mipha (she's fun to play, her jumping out of the water move makes it easy to hit monsters in the head)
Daruk (he's feels too slow for the pace of the game)
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Not died? Or at least gotten more development so her death could have had more impact?
My OTP: Can't really say I have one for her...
My cross over ship: Don't have one of these either...
A headcanon fact: Well this is going into a Zora headcanon post I have planned for later but... Mipha and Sidon are biologically half-siblings. Polygamy is common among Zora, especially royalty, but they don't make the half-sibling distinction, all children are treated the same. They have different mothers, and that explains the height difference as well as Sidon's sharky features. Could also play into something that was mentioned in TotK but I won't spoil it here.
Whew, this was long! But fun! Anyway, thanks for the ask!

"Of course I want to help her!" Sheik practically shouted, standing to glare at Groose, "Do you not think I've been in this library since the day she disappeared looking for anything that could help bring her back to my father and I?!" Sheik practically shouted.
He was so sick of this. People acted like he didn't care about Zelda, but what was a boy without a loftwing to do? He couldn't even hop between the sky islands as he pleased like everyone else. He had always been at the mercy of Zelda's loftwing.
And now he had to sit here while his twin sister was god knows where, stuck waiting for any news from Link. Why?! Why couldn't he do something to help?! Why was he so useless at everything?!
"But I've even raided my father's collection of restricted books. If there's something that can help break the cloud barrier-- it's not here, and the only thing left that I can think to do is just... ask Link to take me down there..!"
"That ain't true!" Oh, it was true. He was supposed to be the hero. He was supposed to be the one saving Zelda. And it was Link who was able to come and go as he pleased, without any explanation over how he was doing it.
It was infuriating, and almost felt like it was being rubbed in his face, and Groose was not going to stand for it.
"What about you?" The words came out accusingly as Groose lowered himself, hands pressed against the surface of the table as his eyes narrowed at Sheik. "She's your sister and you're just sittin' up here reading children's books. Don't you want to get down there to help her?"
And maybe the answer was staring them in the face. Link made it to and from the surface... maybe they just needed to follow him?

I fell in love with Ravio.
I wrote one fic about this boy and now I’m hooked.
And when I was cleaning up last night, I had an idea. Another fic idea. I don’t know how well it will go over, but my “crack” in the past has usually been well accepted.
Ravio gets sucked int a portal. He doesn’t know where he is, but it looks like a giant room, and there’s a banner on the wall, a bottle or so of wine on a table, seats, cups and various other things.
He’s about to read the sign when another person tumbles out of the same portal as him.
Malon looks up and around, and for half of a minute thinks that Legend dyed his hair, only for Ravio to introduce him, at which point she’s like ‘oh! I’ve heard of you!’. The two chatter a bit, but then several more people tumble out of the portal.
Groose, Fi, Ezlo, Shadow, Navi (maybe?), Tatl, Midna, Ciela, Linebeck, the ghost of King Daphnes, Proxi, Pyoko (mangas), Sir Raven, a moblin and Mipha’s ghost (all the champions?) all just tumble/float out, and Malon and Ravio have to help them untangle themselves.
For half of a second, there’s greetings and ‘I’ve heard of you’s’ between them all.
And then someone notices Raven.
Someone (probably Midna) grumbles “Oh great, were all the babysitters of courage summoned to babysit a Link together? See how well we can handle him?”
Raven has to explain that, no, his real name is Raven, no, He’s not a Hero of Courage, yes, he’s helped kill Ganon, and yes, he’s got a mini hero child running around that he helped take care of (he also sees Ravio and thinks ‘Link?’, because canonically Link from the Oracle games had dark hair, but Ravio explains.
Long story short, Hylia has recognized that the babysitters of courage (aptly named) deserve people to rant to, and who better than another babysitter? Every week, a portal appears in Ravio’s living room, Ezlo’s little hut, Groose’s house ect., and they all pile in and appear at Lon Lon Ranch (Malon begged Hylia to let her host meetings, since it was more comfy at the ranch than in the place the goddess prepared).
It great, they love chatting about their boys, or life in general. Malon and Ravio both write to their heroes about having weekly meetings with friends, and Time and Legend are incredibly relieved.
But then one day they are at Lon Lon Ranch, and the they’ve only been there for a day when a portal appears.
Malon has to explain taht it’s her friends, and what do you know, a whole host of mentors/caretakers/friends/guides comes tumbling out with a collective shout of “Hi Mamalon!”, only to be shocked that Malon also has their heroes over.
Chaos ensues.
....Oh boy, I didn’t mean to write it all out, but yeah. Wow, that one’s a bit long, yeah? Do with that what you will. I’m gonna try and write it when I get back from my work later today (childcare, whoo hoo).
Expect insanity, and feel free to do this too if it so suits you.
I think @tortilla-of-courage helped inspire this with her sidekicks adventure thing, so I’m tagging her so y’all can check her out if you haven’t already (what are you doing on my blog if you’re not on Tortilla’s?)
Adios!

My Hero
For @zelinkweek2021 day 3 Flight: Free Falling
Read it here on AO3!
“Hey! Get back here!”
Zelda sprinted after Link, bearing a toothy grin (well, as toothy as it could get, considering she was missing a few teeth) and waving a stick in the air. He was far quicker and much more nimble than her, leaping down nearly the entire flight of stairs leading from the Knight Academy to the Bazaar. She scurried down them, careful not to trip over her own feet and then the precarious folds in the rugs on the ground. Link’s foot caught on one of said folds and he stumbled just enough for her to reach out and almost graze his shoulder.
He lurched forward and rolled on the ground, dodging her fingers by an inch, before continuing to sprint. She groaned, fighting to not shout one of the bad words her father taught her to never say (even though she would watch his ink spill over his paper, and he would say one himself), and went as fast as her little, stubby legs could take her.
She was envious of the fact that he was faster than her, considering he was shorter by a few inches and younger by a few months. Teasing him about his height was one of her favorite pastimes, but she was the only one who could do it, given her protectiveness over her best friend Link. They’d been friends since they were fresh out of the womb, or so she’d been told by her father, and their bond was unbreakable. Whatever that meant.
Now that they were enrolled in the Knight Academy, they’d soon have less time to play, so they were together as much as they could possibly be, scrounging up their last moments of free time. That also brought some unwanted attention, namely that of Groose.
Groose was a pompous, snotty, drooling kid of about their same age, with a ridiculous hairdo he refused to change and a crush on Zelda herself. The boy never stopped picking on Link, which is where she developed her protective nature, but he also never stopped flirting with her. She was thankful she could hold her own ground, unlike her best friend, who happened to be a bit of a crybaby at times.
Link leaped down another flight of stairs and this time Zelda followed suit, landing square on her feet before taking after him again. She cornered him against the wall of the lighthouse on the side of the plaza, gasping for air and laughing.
Thrusting her stick forward and tapping him in the chest, she beamed triumphantly.
“You’re it!”
She took off toward the wooden deck at the edge of the plaza, the sound of his footsteps and laughter getting closer behind her.
“You’ll never catch me!” she taunted before diving off the deck. Her hope was that Link would dive after her and they’d call their Loftwings and chase each other in the sky, but then she had an idea. She’d prank him, make him worry for her, and not call her Loftwing. It would give him a real scare, she thought. So, she let herself fall, let the wind whip through her hair as she spread her arms and embraced the clouds.
What was taking him so long? There was no reason for him to not dive right after her. But then, finally, she heard his shrill whistle and prepared to sound off her own. She raised her fingers to her lips and—
A flash of crimson red swept her up into its feathers and scrawny arms tightened around her form, and she screwed her eyes shut as the wind battered against her face. Then, she was descending, slowly, softly, carefully, before finally being lifted off whatever had carried her.
She opened her eyes as she giggled, glancing up at the face of Link, who was red and sobbing and teary-eyed.
“Um, are you okay?” she asked as he set her down and cried a little more. Her giggles persisted until she realized he was seriously upset. Why didn’t he find it funny?
He opened his mouth to say something in that quiet, meek voice of his, but he was interrupted.
“I saw that!” someone yelled, followed by rushed footsteps. Groose stepped onto the scene, tall and intimidating, arms crossed and glare aimed at Link. “You were just gonna let her fall off the edge? You didn’t even try to go after her!”
“Groose, stop—”
“But Zelda, he let you fall!”
Link’s puppy-dog eyes zipped back and forth between the two of them, lips pursed and quivering. Then, another voice came.
“Just what is going on here?”
Zelda’s gaze rose upward slowly, climbing the large frame of the man in front of her now, eyes widening in horror.
Her father, headmaster of the Academy.
“Hello, father,” she mumbled.
“Zelda, care to expl—”
“Link let Zelda fall off the edge and waited forever to go save her!” Groose blurted, face almost as red as his hair.
Headmaster Gaepora sent Groose a sharp glare before calmly turning back to his daughter. “Zelda, care to explain what’s going on here?”
“Um… I…” She fiddled with her thumbs, eyes darting everywhere but her father, and burst into tears. “I’m sorry! It was a prank!” She buried her head in her hands as her father’s hand came to rest on her shoulder. “I thought it would be funny if I spooked Link and didn’t call for my bird. I thought he would just chase me, I didn’t know he would…” Glancing back at him, he was still a shaking, sobbing mess, but the redness in his face was gone. “I’m really sorry.”
“Don’t ever joke about falling off the edge again, Zelda,” her father scolded in a scary, stern tone. “Do you know what happens when you fall beneath the clouds?” She shook her head. “Exactly. And we don’t want to find out.”
“I’m sorry, father.”
“You should apologize to him, not me.” He nudged her to turn and face Link. “And after that, you’re going to your room for the rest of the day.”
“I’m sorry, Link,” she murmured. “Can you forgive me?”
He didn’t respond, only staring wordlessly as he wiped at the last of his tears and offered a weak smile.
“Come on now,” the headmaster coaxed. “Let’s go.”
And he led her away.
—
Zelda laid on her bed in her room at the Knight Academy, clutching a wood carving to her chest and staring at her ceiling as she listened to the quiet hums of Karane, her neighbor.
She held the carving up. Link had made it for her, and it was a vibrant blue, modeled after her Loftwing with edges he made sure were curved so she wouldn’t cut herself or get splinters. Normally it found its home atop her desk, but that night it rested over her heart as she thought of him and how horrible she felt for her prank.
A knock came at the door and she yelled for them to come in. It creaked open, and inside stepped Link. His cheeks were still puffy and his eyes were still red, but he was smiling nonetheless.
“Oh, hi, Link,” she greeted, putting the carving down on the blankets. “What are you doing here?”
He sat on the edge of her bed as she grabbed a pillow and crawled next to him.
“Look, I really am sorry. I didn’t know it would make you that upset.”
“It’s okay,” he whispered. His voice was raspy and quiet, one you had to strain to hear. Hearing him talk was rare, and Zelda revelled in every moment he did.
“Why were you crying so hard?”
He plopped down against the blankets on her bed. “I thought your bird wasn’t coming and you were gonna fall below the clouds and die.”
“I was just joking,” she reassured him.
“I know, but I didn’t think so. So I went after you. I was so scared.”
“Oh.”
Link scratched the back of his neck. “Groose really let me have it after you and your dad left,” he said. “Chased me around and everything. But I got away.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay.”
Silence hung in the air between them, stifling and suffocating, until Zelda finally spoke up.
“Thank you for saving me,” she mumbled, a blush hinting at her cheeks. “You’re my hero.”
And she didn’t see it because she was too busy hiding her face in her pillow, but he blushed too.

The Day Before (Skyward Sword Oneshot)
It was the day before the Wing Ceremony. All the preparations were to be set early the next morning, as was always the case. However, the goddess was always to ready herself extra early for the ceremony. She was to craft a sailcloth to give to the graduate of the ceremony, whomever it may be, and to prepare herself an outfit suitable for the occasion as well. The previous year, Karane had filled the role of the goddess, and her champion was, of course, Pipit. This year, the role had been bestowed to Zelda, daughter of headmaster Kaepora.
Zelda hummed to herself as she sewed, a small smile on her face. Some part of her had been waiting years to finally play the role of the goddess Hylia. She'd been practicing the ballad on her harp for weeks on end, and she'd been carefully working on her sailcloth for a long while. The blonde was meticulous in ensuring every stitch was in the right place, that it was as perfectly symmetrical as humanly possible.
Carefully, she pinned the cloth to the wall and stepped back a few paces to admire her handiwork. After a moment or two of scrutiny, she slumped her shoulders with a sigh of relief.
It looked splendid.
A bright smile on her face, Zelda knocked on the wall she shared with Karane. "Hey, can ya come in here real quick?" she asked excitedly. "I think it's about done!"
"Alright, one minute!" shouted her friend from the other side. Zelda giggled and hopped in place with joy, and it was indeed a minute later that her ginger-haired friend stepped into her room, hardly sparing a second to knock beforehand. Karane's eyes widened slightly upon noticing the sailcloth tacked over Zelda's desk, and she let out a whistle as she set her hands over her hips.
"Well, color me impressed, Zel! It's leagues better than mine was!" The blonde playfully rolled her eyes and lightly smacked her friend's shoulder, to which Karane merely snickered. "I'm serious, ya know. You're always pushin' yourself to perfection, ya know that?"
Zelda flushed with embarrassment at the remark, and she gently swayed herself sighed to side for a second. "Well, I am the headmaster's daughter, so... So I need to set an example for everyone!"
"Well ya don't have to make the rest of us look bad! Really, if only Link had the same work ethic as you..."
She opened her mouth to retort. However, Zelda couldn't make a proper comeback to Karane's little tease. As lighthearted as it was, her friend was right.
Link was Zelda's best friend. They'd known each other practically since they were toddlers, and they each shared the goal of eventually becoming sky knights together with the rest of their friends! Link was the sweetest person she knew, always ready to lend a helping hand. He was always patient both with people and in his hobbies; several of the wooden sculptures he'd crafted over the years were given to others around Skyloft, and they were always a happy sight to see. He was a saint for being able to tolerate Groose. That man would never give the poor guy the time of day! He was a gifted motivator, especially to his roommate Fledge, and he always took excellent care of his loftwing, among many things. At the same time, though, Link was very... lackadaisical.
He often overslept and was late for classes. There were several times where he'd forget to turn in or complete assignments. Even when he did, most of them were only enough for him to get by. There were even instances where he'd fall asleep in the bathroom, of all places! Zelda could have sworn she even caught him snoozing on his crimson bird once or twice while aimlessly flying around Skyloft. It was almost unworldly how sleepy Link was most of the time!
It was true that Link was a gifted loftwing rider, but... If only that boy was able to apply himself more!
"I... I hope so, too," she eventually replied, a strained smile crossing her lips.
After another little bit, Karane left Zelda's room to study for the rest of the evening, leaving the blonde alone to her thoughts. As soon as she was gone, Zelda couldn't help but sigh as she sat at her desk. She wanted Link to win the race for the Wing Ceremony. Really, she did. The very idea was what drove her to even go the extra mile for the whole goddess thing! The young woman couldn't even imagine what would happen if Groose or one of his flunkies won the race instead...
No, Zelda suddenly decided. She could not let that happen. Link was going to graduate to the next class no matter what. She was going to finish the ceremony with her best friend, and not with one of the bullies who didn't deserve it!
Her resolve renewed, Zelda inked her pen, and she began writing in her personal journal. Partly as a reminder for herself the next morning--no doubt she'd wake up wracked with nerves--and partly to strengthen what she was already thinking.
Tomorrow's the big day! The Wing Ceremony! Finally, Link can take a big step toward becoming a knight. I can't wait to see him promoted to knighthood, but I'm a little worried he might have some trouble winning the race.
Lately, Link hasn't taken his flight training seriously. Someone needs to make sure he doesn't mess up his chance! So I've made up my mind. Tomorrow I'll wake him up extra early and make sure he gets in some last-minute practice, whether he likes it or not.
He has to win, or we won't be able to perform the closing ceremony together!
She waited a few minutes to let the ink dry, then let herself stretch out before rising from her chair. Zelda gingerly unpinned the sailcloth, and she neatly folded it and set it down on the desk with her costume. She smiled warmly at the sight of both items, her chest warm with giddiness at the thought of finally wearing what she'd been so carefully crafting for weeks. Would Link like it? She could only hope so.
Still, she tore herself from such happy thoughts, and she went back to her studies. As momentous as the 25th Wing Ceremony was to be the next day, she still had classwork to keep up with. Zelda could only hope Link was doing the same.
~.*.~.*.~
This one’s a little short, but I’ve wanted to write for Skyward Sword for a long time. I hope the next time I do something, I can delve a lot more into the character’s feelings. But for now, I hope you enjoyed it! ^_^

A Twist on a Legend, a Legend of Zelda Fan Fiction
Link's P.O.V.
I opened my eyes. I was falling in total darkness. But I had this feeling that I was not alone. I curiously looked up to see a glowing, majestic figure floating up above me.
The figure asked me in a rather soothing monotone voice,"Link...?"
It knew my name?
The figure continued,"I am waiting for you. The time has come for you to awaken. You are vital to a mission of great importance. Link..."
I was utterly confused. Me? I was vital piece to a great mission? But... I'm completely ordinary...
Suddenly Zelda appeared next to me which made me sigh in relief.
I tried to say something to her but before I could I saw a ferocious, scaly monster with razor sharp teeth smiling wickedly at me.
Zelda shouted in horror as she tried to grab a hold of my hand,"Link!"
The monster was getting closer and closer to me. I screamed.
I woke up, panting. I could tell immediately that it was daytime. Golden rays of sunshine caressed my skin. I wiped the sweat from my forehead then sat straight up on my rather lumpy bed.
I turned my head at the sound of a Loftwing. I smiled to see that it was Zelda's indigo Loftwing, Jasper.
Jasper seemed to have an beige envelope in his beak.
I asked,"For me?"
Jasper nodded his head rather furiously. I could tell that he was excited. I chuckled as I got out the letter. I then began to read it.
Hey, Sleepyhead!
I hope Jasper didn't cause you any trouble.
Anyway, rise and shine Link! Today is Goddess Hylia's 500th birthday. All of Skyloft will be throwing a grand masquerade ball to mark this special occasion.
You promised me you'd meet me at the Statue of the Goddess this morning, remember?
Promise me you won't keep me waiting for long.
⁃Zelda
I smiled. Zelda always made sure I didn't oversleep. One of the many reasons she was the greatest friend a person could ask for.
Realizing that Zelda's probably been waiting for at least an hour, I quickly put on my gray boots, put the envelope and letter on my wooden writing desk, then ran out the door. I started praying to the Goddess that Zelda wouldn't scold me to death.
I smiled at the sight of the stairs that lead to the Goddess statue. But before I was able to reach them, Cawlin and Strich grabbed me from behind!
As I struggled to break free, Groose came stomping towards me. I gulped. He did not look happy. He soon said coldly,"Don't think you'll have a chance to dance with Zelda tonight chicken legs."
I was once again confused. I raised an eyebrow at Groose. "What are you talking about?"
Groose snorted. "Did you eat idiot fruit this morning? Zelda's playing the role of the Goddess at tonight's ball and she's supposed to pick someone to dance with her." He ran a hand over his ridiculous pompadour with pride. "Which will obviously be me."
To my dismay, Groose frowned at me again. He got even closer to me. When he was inches away from my face, he spat out,"If you try to sabotage my chance of dancing with Zelda..."
Suddenly something caught Groose's eye. It was Fledge. The younger, slimmer boy ran in fear at the sight of the red-headed bully. Groose snickered and turned his attention back to me. "Your pal Fledge will get a wedgie so bad that he'll be crying like a pathetic, little baby!"
Suddenly I could hear the sound of a familiar someone clearing her throat. It was Zelda!
Zelda tapped her foot impatiently and asked angrily,"Care to explain what's going on here, Groose?"
Groose was at a loss at what to do. Lucky for him, he eventually came up with something to say. "Oh Zelda! I was just telling my buddy Link here how excited I am for the ball!"
Zelda lifted an eyebrow.
Groose continued with more confidence,"Yeah tonight's gonna be a huge hit. Anyway, later Zelda! See you tonight! I'll be the one wearing the grandest outfit!"
With that, Groose marched proudly towards the Knight Academy. Zelda shook her head in annoyance before directing her attention to Cawlin and Strich who immediately ran to catch up with their leader.
I sighed in relief that bullying session was over. I said graciously,"Thanks for coming when you did Zelda. I couldn't stand Groose spitting in my face.
Zelda put on a cheerful face. "No problem Link. Best friends gotta watch out for each other, right?"
I happily nodded and could feel my cheeks turning a light pink.
Suddenly Zelda asked me,"Oh, Link! What are you wearing to the ball tonight?"
I froze. I conpletely forgot to pick an outfit.
"Link?"
I snapped out of my trance to look at Zelda who was looking at me in concern.
I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment. "I don't know actually... I've been so busy helping your Father with ball preparations that I forgot to put an outfit together..."
Zelda sighed sadly. Suddenly she gasped in delight and said,"Not to worry Link! I have a solution! Meet me at my quarters in three hours!"
I watched my best friend take off.
Zelda was putting the finishing touches on a masquerade mask when she heard someone knocking on her door.
Link asked, his voice a bit muffled since he was on the other side of the door,"Zelda? Are you in there?"
With an excited grin, Zelda put her art supplies under the desk she was working on then opened the door for Link.
Link asked with curiousity,"What is it you wanted to show me Zelda?"
Zelda replied with a playful smirk,"Close your eyes and you'll find out."
Link chuckled as he played along in Zelda's little game. He made his way over to Zelda's bed. That's when Zelda said excitedly,"OK, you can look now!"
As soon as Link opened his eyes, he gasped.
There, hanging neatly inside Zelda's wardrobe was a magnificent blue tunic with a matching blue cap, white tights, and shiny, brown boots!
Link was speechless. This made Zelda ask nervously,"Do you like it?"
Without warning, Link gave his best friend a warm hug. "I love it Zelda."
Zelda squeezed Link even tighter. She was so happy to see Link so happy.
Link looked at himself in the mirror one last time. He was amazed at how much the outfit fit him. With a big smile on his face, Link left his room only to bump into Groose and his lackeys.
Groose asked as he circled around his rival,"Wow Link, wherever did you get that..." His left eye started to twitch. "Cool tunic?"
Despite the confusion he was feeling, Link was about to reply but Groose rudely interrupted him. "Forget it. I'm not interested. It's too bad you don't like your usual goofy self..."
As Groose continued circling around him, Link gave his rival a look of suspicion.
Groose suddenly stopped moving and crossed his arms. "With an outfit like that, Zelda is sure to pick you to dance with her. We can't have that. Cawlin... Strich... you know what to do..."
To Link's ultimate surprise, Cawlin and Strich started tearing Link's outfit apart! Link tried with all his might to push the two boys away. As Link struggled to break free, he could see Groose grinning devilishly.
Suddenly Henya came into the hallway with a broom in tow. "You leave Link alone now!"
In a state of panic, Cawlin and Strich ran away. Groose was at first annoyed at his pals for running away but after seeing Henya swing her broom viciously he ran off too.
Link sighed in relief.
Henya came up to Link and said angrily,"Bullies these days..." Henya then gave Link a look full of compassion. "Are you alright Link?"
Link nodded, still traumatized at what just happened.
Henya bit her lip at what she should do. Suddenly she remembered something. "Come with me Link."
Link followed Henya to the academy's basement. There, Henya slowly opened a dusty, old treasure chest to reveal a green tunic.
Henya presented the tunic to Link and said with a smile,"This was made for you."
Link politely took the tunic from Henya. He smiled at the elderly woman. "I'll treasure it."
The ball could not have been more lively. Horwell and Owlan were narrating a play, Dodoh was making balloon animals for the children of Skyloft, Sparrot was juggling crystal balls, and a band was playing merry tunes.
Soon, all the lights dimmed. That's when a single spotlight shined on Zelda who wore a extravagant, white dress with purple accents and a matching purple masquerade mask. Gaepora shed a tear to see his daughter so beautiful.
Zelda started singing as she strung the strings of her golden harp.
Oh youth, guided by the servant of the goddess, unite earth and sky, and bring light to the land...
Zelda found herself stopping at the sight of a mysterious, green figure walking down the plaza stairs. The crowd murmured in confusion. They soon made a clear path for Zelda to walk towards Link.
Once she reached Link, Zelda asked with a smile,"Would you like to dance?"
Link nodded happily.
The crowds whispers got even louder. Who was that young man?
But Link and Zelda did not seem to mind the confusion of the crowd. They were lost in each other's eyes as they starting waltzing to the dance floor.
Zelda was captivated by the charm and mystery of the young man she was dancing with. But, she snapped out of her trance when she saw Groose in a state of disbelief.
Zelda sighed.
When will Groose see that I'm not at all interested in starting a relationship? Zelda thought, feeling rather irritated.
To Zelda's surprise, the waltz had ended. The crowd went wild for the her and Link.
Zelda smiled at the audience then at Link. She slowly lifted his masquerade mask to reveal the face beneath it. She gasped softly. "Link?"
Link immediately started to panic. If Groose found out that he was the mysterious man, he would give Fledge a mega wedgie!
Without warning, Link started to run away.
Zelda cried out worriedly,"Wait!"
Link was so desperate to flee that he nearly tripped on the plaza stairs, leaving behind his cap in the process.
Cawlin had a puzzled look on his face. He asked Groose,"You don't suppose that was Link, do you?"
Groose frowned. "Don't be ridiculous. Link wouldn't just leave Zelda on the spot like that."
Link was about to go up the flight of stairs that led to the Knight Academy, when he noticed a tornado coming right towards him. He tried with all his might to get to the academy. Unfortunately, the tornado was too fast for Link. Link screamed as the twister sucked him up. He immediately fell unconscious.
The sun was slowly rising from the east, casting a powerful golden glow around Skyloft.
Zelda was sitting on the plaza stairs as she stared at Link's green cap sadly.
Why did Link just run away like that and not say anything? Zelda thought, feeling devastated.
Suddenly, Karane appeared from behind Zelda. "Zelda, you've been sitting on those stairs for hours..."
Zelda sighed and looked up to face the older girl. "I'm sorry Karane. It's just that I'm so confused as to what happened last night and why it happened."
Karane said in a rather soft voice,"Yeah, that was pretty weird. Link just running away from the ball like that... He probably did it for a good reason."
Zelda stared at Link's cap once more when Pipit and Fledge came running towards the girls.
Pipit shouted worriedly,"We can't find Link anywhere!"
Karane put her hands on her hips. "What do you mean you can't find Link anywhere?"
Pipit replied, his anxiety building up,"Fledge and I searched every nook and cranny of the Knight Academy and there was no sign of him."
Zelda was about to suggest too form a search party when she heard a voice call out to her.
At that moment, Zelda had a vision.
Link... he seemed to be alright in a place called the Surface... it was beneath the clouds... but... all of a sudden... a terrifying monster appeared and began to suck the light out from Link!
Zelda immediately gasped so loud that it completely startled Karane, Pipit, and Fledge.
Fledge asked in concern,"Zelda... what's the matter?"
Zelda breathed heavily. She then suddenly ran towards the nearest dock.
In a state of shock, Karane asked,"Zelda? Where are you going?"
Zelda stopped in her tracks and turned to face her three friends. "A voice called out to me and told me where Link is. Tell my Father and the rest of Skyloft that I'll return with Link safe and sound."
Pipit nodded and said,"Be careful out there Zelda."
Zelda took a deep breath before jumping off the dock. She quickly called out for Jasper. The indigo Loftwing caught her in two seconds flat.
Jasper squawked happily. He always enjoyed his owner's company. Zelda smiled as she gently caressed Jasper's back. She soon felt calm to downright nervous. There, just a mile away was an opening in the clouds.
That must be an entrance to the Surface... Zelda thought with a great big gulp. But I have to go in... For Link...
As she untied her wrap from her body, Jasper squawked in confusion as to why they were so close to the hole in the clouds.
Zelda told her Loftwing gently,"Alright, friend... I won't be long."
Jasper looked at his owner like she was crazy. Zelda caressed his back once again while she said,"Link is down there Jasper and I have to get him back."
Jasper squawked softly. Zelda took another deep breath before lunging herself down towards the Surface.
Wasting no time, Zelda used her wrap like a parachute. She looked down at her feet. All she could make out was green and more green. As she got more close to the ground, she could see soft, dancing grass and majestic, tall trees.
Once Zelda hit the grass, she gazed at her surroundings in awe.
Suddenly, she could make out a less than pleasant sound from something. It was a Bokoblin. It appeared to have some sort of weapon and it was going to use it to attack Zelda.
A frightened Zelda ran in an attempt to escape the creature. As she continued running, a sword slashed through the Bokoblin. It screeched in pain before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
Zelda stopped running to turn around. What she saw made her gasp in delight and relief. It was Link. But, he had a very serious look on his face; something Zelda never saw before.
All of a sudden, the figure that appeared in Link's dream manifested from Link's sword. She said calmly,"Master, I detect a 98 percent chance that the demon lord is drawing near. We should seek shelter immediately."
Link nodded at Fi before taking off on his dark brown horse.
Zelda just stood there, dumbfounded. She had so many questions.
Who was that mysterious blue and purple being? Link was its master? Why didn't Link acknowledge that we reunited?
Zelda's thoughts were cut short when an elderly woman spoke up. "Confused, aren't you child?"
Zelda swiftly turned around. She knew that voice. Zelda said in astonishment,"It's you. The one who called out to me."
The old woman simply nodded. She then said,"Let's continue our conversation in the temple. There are things out here we don't want to encounter."
"The one you know as Link is the present incarnation of the Goddess' chosen hero. A demon lord lurking around these parts is planning on using Link's soul to resurrect his master... Demise. As to why he didn't seem too excited to see you... Well, I'm afraid he is suffering from amnesia."
Zelda, who was now in a simple white dress, stood up from the table they were seated at and asked angrily,"If a demon lord is after Link, then why is he out and about on a horse?"
Impa replied,"So he can grow powerful enough to defeat Ghirahim and ultimately save the Surface."
Zelda loosened up a bit but was still very worried about Link being the target of a demon lord. She ultimately decided to say,"You have to let me catch up with Link."
Impa smiled. "You sure care for the legendary hero. Here take this."
Impa handed Zelda a magical harp. "This harp not only plays lovely music but can send out bursts of energy to blast enemies away."
"Thank you Impa."
With eyes filled with determination, Zelda said,"Hold on Link... I'm coming.
Zelda was walking through Faron Woods when she spotted a figure dressed in a red cape terrorizing a poor, little Kikwi.
The man said angrily,"You must know where the legendary hero is!"
The Kikwi was on the verge of tears. "I swear... I haven't seen him."
The man sighed and said with his eyes closed,"If you won't listen to reason..."
The man was about to strike the Kikwi with dark magic when Zelda shouted,"Leave that poor creature alone!"
The man swiftly turned his head. Zelda felt like her heart stopped beating. The man gave her a rather angry look. His face soon softened. "What are you doing all the way over here little girl?"
Zelda took a few steps back as the man approached her. This was no ordinary man... He had a pale complexion with icy, white hair, and white lips. The man said in a creepily polite voice,"Oh, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ghirahim. Lord Ghirahim."
Zelda gasped. This "man" was the demon lord that was after Link.
She got in a fighting stance and shot bursts of energy towards Ghirahim. Ghirahim snickered as he easily dodged them all. He then said,"Foolish child. Wait... you're here to save the legendary hero aren't you? How precious... Sadly you won't live long to accomplish your task."
Ghirahim drew out his sword. He then immediately went to attack Zelda. Without giving it much thought, Zelda did a summersault to avoid Ghirahim's attack. Zelda felt dazed. She wasn't used to performing acrobatics. She soon got over it though. She shot out a giant wave of energy towards Ghirahim. Unfortunately, Ghirahim disappeared before it could hit him.
The demon lord breathed rather heavily. "I have to admit... you sure know how to use that dumb harp of yours."
Zelda frowned. "I won't let you have Link."
To Ghirahim's surprise, Zelda started playing a lullaby. It soon put Ghirahim in a deep sleep.
Zelda sighed in relief. She soon went over to the cowering Kikwi. She bent down and asked kindly,"Are you alright?"
The Kikwi slowly looked up to see the compassion in Zelda's eyes. The Kikwi said in a happy but timid way,"Thank you... for rescuing me. However can I thank you?"
Zelda replied,"Well, would you happen to know where Link is?"
The Kikwi tilted its head in confusion. "Who?"
Zelda blushed. "Oh, I mean the legendary hero."
The Kikwi jumped up in excitement. "Yes! I saw him heading up north, towards the Skyview Temple."
Zelda bowed her head graciously. She shouted happily as she headed up north,"Thank you so much!"
Link was getting off his horse when Fi appeared next to him. "I think this place will do, Master."
Link looked up at the Skyview Temple and then at Fi. "Thank you Fi. We'll stay here until dawn."
Fi nodded. She soon saw Zelda running towards them. "Master Link. I detect a 50 percent chance that you know the girl who is approaching."
Link turned his head to see Zelda waving at him. He frowned.
Link said as he walked towards Zelda,"You shouldn't be here. There are monsters lurking around these parts."
Zelda's smile turned into a frown. "There is a creepy demon lord that's going after you. You're the one who shouldn't be here."
Link jaw dropped slightly. "How do you know about the demon lord?"
Zelda closed her eyes to calm herself down. She then said,"I met and spoke with Impa. She entrusts me to protect you and help you fight Ghirahim."
Link sighed in mild annoyance. "Did she now? Well, just try not to get into anymore trouble, alright?"
With that said, Link and Fi headed towards the temple. Zelda felt like crying.
This wasn't the Link that she knew...
Maybe... Just maybe... he'll regain his memories. Zelda thought with as much hope as she could manage.
It was now morning. Link was resting on the sacred grounds of the Skyview Temple. Suddenly, he could hear... music?
The memorizing tunes lured Link outside to the front of the temple. Zelda was peacefully playing the Ballad of the Goddess on her magical harp. When she was done, Link said,"Wherever did you learn that melody?"
Zelda turned around and blushed. "It's from my homeland in the clouds. A place called Skyloft."
Link found himself smiling. This made Zelda want to give him a great big hug.
"Well, it sure sounded beautiful..." Link said softly.
Link eventually cleared his throat and went back to his stern demeanor. "We better get a move on. That demon lord is sure to wake up from that lullaby you played soon."
Zelda said, feeling rather disappointed,"Oh, yes. Where to exactly?"
Link was about to reply when Fi manifested before Link and Zelda.
Fi said in her usual monotone voice,"To Lanayru Desert. The robots there will surely entrust you two with powerful equipment."
Zelda found herself smiling. "That's wonderful."
Link nodded in agreement. "The desert isn't far from here. If we're lucky, we'll make it there by nightfall."
Zelda said as she put her harp away. "Then there's no time to loose."
Link and Zelda got on Link's horse. They immediately started heading west.
Hours have passed when Ghirahim woke up from his slumber. The demon lord gritted his teeth. "Curse that blonde girl. Why, if it weren't for her, I would've had the hero by now. This defeat shall be my very last. That I promise!"
In a state of frustration, Ghirahim teleported himself from Faron Woods.
"I think I see the Lanayru Mining Facility!" Zelda cried out in excitement.
Link could spot the Temple of Time in the distance as well. He found himself sweating a little.
If Ghirahim were to actually weaken me, he would send me back in time to resurrect Demise... Link thought nervously.
Zelda suddenly said,"Don't worry Link. I promise I won't let that Ghirahim lay a finger on you. I'll stay by your side no matter what."
Link smirked. "You really are determined to keep Demise from coming back, aren't you?"
Zelda shook her head. "No, I'm determined to keep you safe... because we're best friends."
Link found himself asking,"Really?"
Zelda nodded. "We've been best friends since we were very little."
Link was about to reply when a bunch of Ancient Robots could be seen in the distance. They appeared to be very excited.
Once Link and Zelda got off their horse, one of the Ancient Robots cheered,"It's Goddess Hylia and her legendary hero!"
Zelda giggled softly. "Oh no, I'm not the present incarnation of the Goddess..."
The robots gasped. The smallest robot said out loud,"I can't believe she doesn't know yet."
Suddenly, the leader of the Ancient Robots appeared from behind the group of smaller robots. He bowed to Zelda and said,"Come with me. The equipment can wait."
Zelda obediently followed the Ancient Robot leader to the Temple of Time with Link following close behind.
As soon as they reached the temple, the Ancient Robot leader said to Zelda,"In order for you to remember your past life, you must pray here at the temple. Once you do, your unconscious' memory will appear on the Temple of Time's gate."
Zelda took a deep breath. She kneeled down and closed her eyes.
At that moment, a projection of the Goddess in her divine form manifested. She proclaimed in her angelic, powerful voice,"I shall sacrifice my immortal form to one of a mortal. And, when the time comes, I will be able to physically protect the legendary hero from Demise."
Suddenly, the projection of the Goddess disappeared. Zelda continued closing her eyes until a pillar of "light" struck her and Link!
The Ancient Robot leader was about to check on the Goddess and the Hero when he saw Ghirahim approaching them.
Zelda slowly looked to her right to see Link in an unconscious state. Ghirahim went up to Zelda and snickered. "You were foolish to become a mortal. Now you must pay the price for your mistake."
Ghirahim soon turned around and lifted Link up with telekinesis.
Zelda never felt more guilty. She let her guard down and ended up being very injured. Now Ghirahim was about to take Link! Zelda tried to stand up but ultimately fell down. She screamed in pain.
With Link hanging from his shoulder, Ghirahim put his hand on the temple's gate. This caused the gate to open. Ghirahim was about to go into the Temple of Time when he looked down at Zelda. "Soon you and every, little pathetic living creature will be at the mercy of my Master."
Zelda gritted her teeth. "It's not over yet."
Ghirahim chuckled and said,"Oh, it's just the beginning..."
Once Ghirahim's back was turned, Fi manifested from Link's sword. Fi was overcome with panic. She almost called out to her Master.
Zelda could only watch Ghirahim and Link go through the gate in horror. Once they did, the temple crumbled into pieces.
With a snap of his fingers, Ghirahim created a barrier that spread all across the Sealed Grounds. The demon lord looked down at an unconsciousness Link.
With a smug smirk on his face, Ghirahim said to himself,"I haven't even started the ritual and I can feel the power of the hero's soul! My master will be most pleased."
Zelda and Fi were hurrying down Faron Woods to catch up with Impa.
As she ran, Zelda chocked down a sob and could feel tears trickling down her face.
Once they entered the Sealed Temple, Impa asked sternly,"Where is Link?"
Zelda sobbed,"Oh, Impa... I... let my guard down and the next thing I know I was too weak to save Link from Ghirahim..."
As Zelda cried hysterically, a gateway to the past gradually manifested. Fi put her "arm" on Zelda's shoulder and said with a hint of warmth,"Young Zelda... look."
Zelda jaw dropped. "Is that...?"
Impa nodded. "Yes. Your love for Link has caused another gate to appear."
Zelda was overcome with relief. She slowly approached the gate and with a light touch of her hand, the gate opened.
"I fear Ghirahim is starting the ritual to resurrect Demise. Go now Zelda! Save Link!" Impa said boldly.
Zelda quickly nodded and entered the gate.
Impa told Fi,"You be careful as well Fi."
Fi bowed her head graciously before entering the gate as well.
Ghirahim raised his arms, causing particles of Link's soul to spread out.
Suddenly, the sound of a foot stomping on the ground made the demon lord look up.
Zelda had appeared with a face full of anger.
Ghirahim chuckled and soon his chuckles turned into laughs.
Zelda took another angry step forward and asked in fury,"What's so funny?"
As if on cue, Demise appeared before Zelda and Fi. Without warning, Demise started sucking up Link's soul.
Link screamed. The pain he was feeling was nothing compared to the pain that Zelda was feeling.
In a flash of white light, Demise was now in his original humanoid form.
Ghirahim bowed before Demise. "Welcome back... Master."
Suddenly, Demise pulled out a sword from Ghirahim's chest. This made Ghirahim faint in an almost comedic way.
The strong force made Link's lifeless body fall down towards the ground.
In a state of panic, Fi caught Link in the nick of time.
Zelda sighed in relief.
Demise slowly looked out towards Zelda. He grinned wickedly. "So... you're the little girl who thought she could stop me. How intriguing..."
Zelda said coldly,"Give Link back his soul now."
Demise's grin widened. "Why? He looks far more beautiful in his "deep sleep"."
In a state of extreme rage, Zelda was about to shoot out a wave of energy when Demise countered it with his sword. The wave of light ended up hitting Zelda instead, causing her to transform into Goddess Hylia.
Demise instantly started to panic but quickly brushed it off. "It's time I finish you off once and for all!"
Hylia and Demise clashed their swords together.
Fi watched the heated battle from the highest cliff. She said,"You can do it Zelda." She looked down sadly at Link's motionless body. "You're Link's only hope..."
To Hylia's surprise, Demise swung his sword vertically. This made Zelda drop her sword.
Demise grinned and started to laugh menacingly.
With extreme determination pulsing through her entire body, Zelda used both of her hands to channel bright, white light to seal away Demise.
As Zelda transformed back into her normal form, Link's soul appeared and floated upward. Zelda immediately ran to catch up with it.
It was only a matter of seconds until Link's soul entered his body.
Once she reached the top of the Sealed Grounds, Zelda kneeled down and asked softly,"Link?"
Link slowly opened his eyes. He smiled brightly. "Thank you Zelda. You really are the greatest friend a person could ever ask for.
Zelda laughed in joy and relief. She embraced Link in a tight hug.
Fi soon joined the embrace as well.
It was nighttime in Skyloft. Zelda was all alone in Skyloft's plaza. The cool, crisp wind made her golden hair dance. She gazed fondly at the stars when she felt a familiar presence. She turned around to see Link with a cute, little smile on his face. He bowed and offered Zelda his hand. Zelda giggled cheerfully. She then curtsied and graciously took her best friend's hand.
Together, the two waltzed around the plaza. Soon, the sky turned blue and the ground were replaced with clouds. Link twirled Zelda around before the both of them kissed.
Zelda smiled in her sleep.

Trial of Power
A continuation of this piece!
The wind whipped at his sides as he clenched the rope in his hands, watching the other boys crawling down the cliff face. Link glanced back up as he repelled carefully, remaining in the middle of the others. His foot slipped a little as he continued down, hearing one of the others shout at how they were in the lead. He could see to another part of the mountains and a small clearing. There he saw his mentor, Alfonzo, watching. He saw someone else walking up the path behind him then, but turned his attention back to his descent.
Alfonzo didn’t look back from watching the potentials on their trial as Impa came up from behind him. He lowered the telescope from his eye and glanced back over his shoulder. "Prince Daphnes wants to know how they're doing," she asked him. "Any stick out?"
“Well,” he began with a small smirk.
“Other than your charge. We both know you have a soft spot for the kid.” The sheikah folded her arms as she watched him.
“Hey. You do too. Was anyone else you caught having snuck off with Zelda, you'd have put 'em in the stocks for a day or sent them out to the woods for a month.”
Her eyes narrowed a little before she took the telescope out of his hand and brought it to her eye. “Just answer the question.”
“You alright?”
Impa lowered the telescope and looked back to him. The unamused glare was one he was quite familiar with from having worked with her for so long, but there was something in her eyes that was different than when she’d grown tired of his antics or someone’s idiocy. “Something with Impa the Elder?”
“Yes,” she briskly replied, looking back to the potentials on the cliff. “And Sheikah politics regarding Holodrum.”
“This has to do with the jarl who died, doesn't it?”
Impa slowly nodded as she took the telescope from her eye. For a moment, she glanced down at the long wooden bridge below them that connected them to the other side of the pass. It would be a quick way for them to get across if something went wrong. “It does,” she admitted. “She has ordered agents into Holodrum to monitor the situation. There is fear that Jarl Hulninn will invade with or without the support of the others.”
“And nobody wants a war.”
“Exactly.” She handed the telescope back to him then, pushing a strand of hair out of her face as the wind whipped around them. “And this act may inflame hostilities. Last time a jarl raided Hyrule I was still learning to read. It was short but bloody.”
Alfonzo nodded grimly before glancing at the ones on the cliff. “And if that happens, Robin may just ask us to put all those boys through The Change.”
“Would Robin order it?”
“If we suffered heavy enough casualties, probably.”
Impa shook her head a little at his words and closed her eyes. She didn’t know all the details of what The Chosen carried out in their tower nestled in Northwestern Hyrule. Even The Sheikah weren’t permitted to know all of their secrets, just as a Chosen would never learn all of her tribe’s traditions. “Let's hope it doesn't come to that.”
“Yeah. I still remember my Trial of Grasses.”
There was a term she’d heard before, even if she’d not heard a lot of details about them. Supposedly it awakened the Hero’s Spirit within the ones who passed all the trials. The truth was far darker. Only due to her position as a member of the personal guard of the Royal Family did she even know what she did about The Tower’s most secret ritual. “Read the old accounts. Never been to one though.”
“And you probably won't. No one other than Tower staff is supposed to be there for it.” He looked down at the telescope she’d handed back to him. “But Korin. One of the kids who was a Chosen of Din like me. Just before the chemicals made me pass out I saw his eye pop out of its socket while he fought the restraints on his table.” His eyes became unfocused and his hand began to shake slightly. His right hand reached back and gripped his sword’s handle to steady it. “Heard... Heard the bones cracking too. Something had gone wrong...”
“By Din...”
With a deep breath and sharp exhale, he looked back at her, composed once more. “I was last to come to. But Eagus never lost consciousness. He’d seen the whole thing. He was in tears with Albert and Storin. We always thought the five of us could accomplish anything. That we'd look out for each other.” He became quiet then, hand letting go of the sword’s grip and returning to rest at his side. “Me and Eagus are all that's left from that year. Albert got caught in a grapeshot from a Labrynnan frigate during the war and Storin...”
“I was with you two,” she interrupted with a sympathetic tone. “I know.”
“Yeah...” He stuffed the telescope back into a pouch on his belt and reached up to inspect the charm around his neck. It was a simple red crystalline stone with the Mark of Din etched into it. His thumb ran over the indentation carefully before he let it fall back on his neck. “Heh. Week later we found Link.”
“We did?”
“Yeah. Him and his sister.”
She smiled a little remembering the entire event. Seeing the boy going up against such odds for his sister was something impressive, even if a piece of her felt that he had been a bit too violent. “Aah.”
“Yep. “
“How's he doing?” she asked.
Alfonzo smiled at the question. It almost looked as if any lingering memories of the prior part of their conversation had vanished. Impa knew of course how he’d answer, but was glad to see his reaction anyways. “Very well,” he admitted. “He's happy. Ecstatic whenever he gets a letter from Aryll or they come up to Kasuto. He'll come find me and the read it aloud with the biggest grin on his face.” He chuckled a little as he raised a finger. “And then. Then he goes to find the twins and reads it to them.”
She laughed a little with him. “Oh?”
“They're usually busy or in the girl's dorm. So, he shouts for them at the top of his lungs, still grinning as he does!”
“And how do they take it?”
“Cia shouts his name back at the top of her lungs. Lana ignores him for the first couple shouts. Then she makes this long annoyed noise and goes to see him.”
The two began to laugh a little. She was sure it would grow annoying, but the images and sounds of the boy shouting for his friend was amusing and amazing to see how much he’d grown since they’d first found him.
“She loves hearing about it I'm sure,” Alfonzo continued, “but the fact Link does that just to aggravate her I think annoys her to no end.”
“So he does do it on purpose.”
“Of course!”
“Heh.” She glanced over to the cliff face to see how the boys were doing. They were still climbing down at a steady rate. “We never were really allowed to interact with the seers in my clan. Officially we were told it was because we were to be ready in case we needed to cull them at The High Inquisitor's order.” She sighed at remembering her upbringing. “I pray such am order is never given again.”
Alfonzo gave her a sympathetic pat in the shoulder. She smiled a little at the gesture and looked back to him. “Let's get back to the kids,” he offered.
“Gladly.” She watched them for a minute in silence with him. “What's Darunia think of them?”
“Isn't so sure about a couple of them,” Alfonzo admitted. “Says if Groose learned to keep his mouth shut he'd be a fine warrior once he's grown.”
“Think he will?”
“Probably not.”
“Why? He's ahead in the trial so far. Completed the strength testing portion well before anyone else. And he’s currently in the lead for the rappelling. I’m expecting he’ll do okay in the mock battle section as well, even if his tactics will leave something to be desired.”
“No, I mean he prolly won't learn to keep his mouth shut.”
“Oh.” She laughed a little then.
Alfonzo had to laugh a little too. The boys got along only some of the time, but he wasn’t sure if it was because they were just enjoying antagonizing each other a little or if there was actually a disdain for the other. “Had to break up a fight between him and Link the other day actually.”
“Really?”
“Yep. In the mud of Kakriko. Link said he threw a dead baba bud at him. Just old enough to have developed its teeth and start feeding on passing rodents.”
“Oh...”
He glanced back at her then. “Paya found me before it got too bad but still.”
“That's good.” She smiled a bit at the girl’s mention. “She'll make a fine agent one day.”
“Oh?”
Impa smirked a little. “Don't let that timid exterior fool you. She is the best hand-to-hand fighter in her entire class. And incredibly good when it comes to observation.” The smirk faded as she recalled a victory of hers in the sparing ring; one that had she been there and in training she’d have been ecstatic about. “Whenever she fails though she's incredibly hard on herself. All because of being the elder's granddaughter.”
“She push that girl too hard?”
She shook her head. “No harder than I was when in the training. But I am sure it's because of the blood relation. And she'll...” Impa leaned to her left, looking back to the boys on their descent. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed how one of the ropes was waving oddly.
“Mmm?”
“Something's wrong.” She pointed to the cliff.
He pulled the telescope back out and quickly scanned the cliff. “Where?”
“Topside. That boy didn't secure his ropes well enough.” She grimaced a little, already thinking of the worst case scenario. “Signal Darunia. It could come free.”
Alfonzo raised a hand, curling his index and pinky fingers into his palm. A spout of sparks and flames shot from them into the sky several feet. They saw a pair of gorons quickly rushing to the top of the cliff. One had a hammer, but it was too late. The spikes used to secure the rope ripped out of the earth and flew away. The boy began to fall.
“Alfonzo!” Impa shouted.
Through the telescope, Alfonzo saw another boy fall, his rope still secure. The small figure slid down, causing some dirt and shale. The first boy’s fall slowed as the other grabbed the rope. He was only a few feet from the ground now, while his savior was still well above the ground. The spike and rope that the first boy had been using landed then, the spike barely missing them both. “Those spikes topside aren't strong enough to hold all that…” He saw them both fall. The first landed and moments later the second did on both feet, a loud cry from him cut short from a hard landing. Neither waited then. Alfonzo didn’t even pocket his telescope and bolted for the bridge. Impa was right behind him. The second rope whipped and the spike dug into the earth. By the time they got there, the first boy was leaning against the cliff face, catching his breath and shaking. The other was curled in a ball.
“By Din. Link!” Alfonzo cried. He knelt down and gently rolled the curled boy over, finding his charge with tears in his eyes and hurt on his face, but he did not cry. He was fighting to not show any sort of pain.
Impa went to the other boy. “Are you hurt?” she immediately asked. Her tone might have been sharper than she’d wanted, but there was still the others above.
“N-no. I'm okay,” he replied.
“HEY!” someone shouted from above. Alfonzo and Impa looked up to see Darunia looking over the edge. “Everyone still breathing down there?!”
“Alfonzo's charge is hurt!” Impa called back. “Seeing how badly now!” She turned her attention to the other potentials on the wall. They’d all stopped to see what had happened. “Continue down! You're still on the clock!” She looked to the other boy as the others slowly started climbing back down. “Can you help me clear the ropes? “
He nodded quicly before assisting the sheikah in clearing the ropes. As they did, Alfonzo took Link in his arms and carried him back across the bridge. Within minutes they had finished and started across the bridge. Impa had the ropes coiled and on her shoulder as they walked. By the time she’d gotten back across, she saw others had joined them. A tower mage in a blue and black robe was on her knees carefully looking over Link. A boy and apprentice to the mage stood next to her, watching the work.
“How badly is he hurt?” she asked the Chosen.
“Miraculously no broken bones,” Alfonzo said. “Sora just said he's hurt both his ankles, but they'll be able to fix them in an hour.”
Impa let out a long sigh and pushed the long braid of hair out of her face. “You alright?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay.” He laughed a little then. “I’m used-to seeing Link not think things all the way through by now. And yet he gives me a heart attack every time he does still.” Something bumped his arm. When he glanced in that direction, he saw her offering him a canteen. He took it and a long drink.
“Well, I’m sure Rauru said the same thing about you when you were being trained.” She looked to the mage as she began her work. A soothing blue light filled her hands and she gently started to move them along one of Link’s ankles. The apprentice next to her held the potential’s boots and watched silently. For his part, Link remained quiet and watching the sorceress’ hands. There were more tears in his eyes, but still he did not sob and he fought to keep a neutral expression.
Alfonzo swallowed, finishing off the water and had to nod a little. “Maybe I’m getting too damn old for this too.”

Tied Fate
Link's Point of view (POV)
As I made my way out of the Knight Academy, I ignored everyone that tried to talk to me. I honestly didn't want to deal with all of the questions that people shot at me just because I managed to save the world from being destroyed. So now I was headed to my favorite spot, the Academy's roof. It's my place to relieve all of my stress and anxiety. I just yelled into the sky most days. Sitting on the roof, I watched the sunset, staining the sky with orange, pink, and lavender hues.
Another day gone full of stress and loneliness, I thought to myself. I sighed. Ever since I saved Zelda, she told everyone in Skyloft that she herself was Hylia. They didn't believe her at first, until she showed them that she could use magic. Now she's never around anymore, leaving me with no one to talk to. I sighed and went to get up, when my former bully Groose walked up from behind me. He sat next to me, ran his hand through his hair and looked at me.
"Listen Link, I'm sorry for everything that's been going on lately. Since you don't have anyone to talk to, I figured you'd want to talk to me. I don't care what you say, I'm just someone you can vent to, but you shouldn't take it out on everyone that cares about you.", he sighed. I felt something wet slide down my face. Great! I was crying, again! I punched the ground out of anger.
"AAARRRGGGHHH! WHY WON"T ANYONE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! I DON'T WANT TO TALK! I WANT TO BE ALONE!", I yelled, sobbing and repeatedly punching the ground. Then Groose had me in a lock hold, and I kicked him in the shin, earning a cry from him and I was released. I turned around. He looked at me with disgust.
"I thought I could be your friend Link. Guess I was wrong, huh?", he spat out. I just turned away from him. Then I my sensitive ears picked up the sound of his footsteps. I immediately turned around and punched him square in the jaw, breaking the skin and creating a gash in his face. He went to hit me, and I ducked, effectively avoiding his blow.
"LEAVE ME ALONE YOU ARROGANT BRAT! I WANT TO BE ALONE! WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT YOU IDIOT SON OF A DEKU SCRUB!", I shouted at Groose, kicking and pummeling him. He picked me up, and I struggled to get out of his arms. Then the ground shook violently, forcing Groose to drop me on the ground.
'What was that?', he mouthed. I just shrugged, not really knowing or caring. And that's when the ground fell from beneath my feet.
I felt weightless, like when I would dive off the edge of Skyloft and call for my crimson Loftwing bird. Except since Loftwing's can't see at night, everyone was falling to their deaths. I looked up over my shoulder, and saw Skyloft, my home, explode for no reason. Everyone was surely dead by now, and I was falling like a stone, and I had ignored them all, just because I was selfish and didn't want to hear it. As I passed through the clouds that covered the Province of Faron, everything in my mind ceased to exist.
Ghirahim's PoV
"Lord Ghirahim, sir! News from the patrol that you sent to the Faron Woods!", the bokoblin announced, bowing before my throne. Two more then arrived, half carrying, half dragging something behind them.
"Yes? Get on with it!", I snapped. Usually the reports I received daily were nonsense, like how the weather in a certain area was perfect and how the next area was terrible. The thing that they dragged in with them stirred and let out a soft whine of pain.
"A patrol found this boy in a tree, injured and unconscious, hanging by the bottom of his shirt. He look likes the one you so often talked about.", the monster reported out. I immediately gained interest when he mentioned the boy. I widened my eyes, but only one was visible due to the fact that I cover the left side with my white, chin length hair. I quickly hid my surprise and daintily walked over to the boy. Sure enough, it was that irksome Sky Child. He was badly injured, with a large gash on his head from where he must have hit it on something, which would have explained why he was unconscious. I smiled delightedly, an idea unfolding in my mind. I would wait until the boy was well enough, then I would force him to serve under me. I smirked at the thought.
"Take him to one of the empty bedrooms, I'll deal with him.", I commanded. Then I headed to the infirmary to gather the materials to patch up the boy. I was only be nice to earn his respect, then he would become my slave. Yes, it did indeed sound like the perfect plan.
Link's POV
"Master Link, I sense that you have been taken into the house owned by the demon that calls himself Lord Ghirahim." Wait, Fi was right here in front of me, telling me that I was in Ghirahim's house. OH MY DEAR HYLIA. I'M IN GHIRAHIM'S HOUSE, UNCONSCIOUS AND UNAWARE OF WHAT HE COULD BE DOING TO ME AT THIS VERY MOMENT!
"F-fi, how long until I wake up?", I began to hyperventilate. She floated in front of me, emotionless.
"If my calculations are correct, you will awaken to a new destiny in a few moments. If you were wise, Master, I would listen to Ghirahim's every time he addresses you and do not give in to your anger.", she stated. I blinked in surprise, then nodded.
"If it keeps me alive, then I'll do it." Next thing I knew, I was in a very large, soft bed. The room was dark, but not to dark because the light from the moon came through the window. I got out of the bed and heard a little clinking sound. Looking around, I couldn't find anything that could have made that sound. Heading toward the window, I stopped when I felt a tug on my ankle. Of course, I saw the glint of a chain leading from a cuff on my ankle to a spot on the floor. Let me guess, I'm in Ghirahim's room, waiting for him to come in so that way he can torture me to death or insanity., I thought to myself. My sensitive ears then picked up the sound of footsteps from outside. I was rooted to the spot. I could hear mumbling outside the door, probably Ghirahim and his bokoblins. The door opened, and in came Ghirahim.
Ghirahim's PoV
"Well, well, well. Rise and shine Sky child. I came in to check on you, and what do I find? You trying to escape from your comfy bedroom. If you really don't like it, you could move into the cold basement." , I walked to him and his eyes gave away the fact that he was scared. This only delighted me.
"Why are you scared, Skychild? You do realize you have no reason to be scared. I'm only here to bandage your wounds so you don't die. That explosion of Skyloft disrupted my evening and now I have you to deal with, which, frankly, mixed my emotions. Having dealt with you multiple times in the past made me angry, but now your here defenseless, I can have my revenge in a way.", I walked closer to him, before teleporting behind him and snaking one arm around his waist and my other arm under his, resting my hand on the opposite shoulder. He shuddered and stiffened.
"Let go of me.", He growled. I merely sighed against the exposed skin of his neck.
"Oh Skychild, did I forget? A slave does not command his master and address him rudely.", I licked the underside of his pointed ear. He shivered again and drew in a breath. I sighed into his ear.
"Get off of me I sai-....Ah!." The Skychild cried out as I bit into his ear, drinking in the scent of his blood.
"What was that, my pet? I think that I have had enough of your mouth. I am going to make you deafen yourself with your own screams. Now doesn't that sound fun?" I chuckled darkly and threw my pet onto the bed. His eyes widened and with a snap of my fingers, he was chained to the bed.
"I think this will teach you a lesson."
Link's PoV
Horrified, I pulled against the bonds that held me to the bed. Ghirahim watched with what looked like amusement.
"Having fun Sky child? You do realize what happens next right?" , He said, a sadistic smile on his face. That just made me struggle more. He placed a hand on my cheek.
"How does it feel to be defenseless, little hero? How do you you feel being forced to be mine, hmm?", he said, tugging up my tunic and running his hand along my stomach, making me shiver. He smiled and dug his nails into my skin, making ten wounds on my abdomen.
"Cry for me Sky Child. Cry and I'll stop." he mocked me. I stared at him fiercely.
"I won't do it. No matter what you tell me to do, I won't do it." I said. He just smiled.
"I think I can get you to change your mind." Just then I felt something wet slide along my cheek. He was licking my face. I shivered as he licked my pointed ear, then let out a small, choked cry as he sunk his teeth into it.
"All you have to do is cry, Skychild. Cry and it'll all go away. Unless..." He trailed off, smirking and looking sideways at me.
"I won't do it. I don't care what you do to me. I won't do anything you say, you sick bastard." I spat at him. He raised his eyebrows.
"Then I guess you wouldn't mind this." He said as he moved to the end on the bed. Untying one of my ankles, he held my leg tightly and hoisted it over his shoulder, sliding my pants down as he did so. My eyes widened.
"You want this, don't you you little whore? You want me to make you scream, don't you? Well, I would have given you mercy, but you threw that opportunity down into the abyss." He snarled raking his nails on my thighs. Tears slipped from my eyes because it stung so bad.
Hylia help me. I'm going to be raped by some sadistic bastard. I thought to myself. Then I screamed as my insides felt like they were being torn to shreds.
"I knew I could make you cry, Skychild." He laughed. I picked my head up to look at what he was doing. He was inside of me, and my body was enjoying it. My face burned in shame. I didn't think that this would happen.
"You must be enjoying this, Skychild." He laughed, roughly seizing my hips and thrusting hip deep. Each thrust hurt like hell itself, and I was screaming, crying and begging him to stop.
He wouldn't stop, not until he left his mark on me. It went on for what felt like hours. I must have fainted, because when I woke up, I was unbound except for the ankle cuff I had on before, but I was wearing a similar get up to that bastard. It was a black two- piece, skin-tight outfit with black gloves and these weird foot things. I noticed that there was a mirror on the night stand, so rolling over, as I was still bleeding and my backside hurt, I grabbed it. My face looked red and puffy from where Ghirahim must have tried to hit me awake. My ear was also swollen from where it was bitten, but I was wearing different earrings. My blue loops were replaced by red diamond ones.
Well, that was an experience I never want to have happen again. I must be more careful and try to figure out how to escape.
