A huge shout out to my friend moons for testing everything and helping me fix my mistakes! Please tell me if you have suggestions, questions, or notice any issues in the server. I might be a millennial/gen z cusp but I'm a bit of a boomer when it comes to Discord lmao. I have ideas for more channels, roles, etc so stay tuned!

A Broken Promise (Wanda Maximoff x Reader) (Anon Request) (Oneshot)
Summary: Based on this request. When Tommy and Billy gain their abilities, Wanda and R have a difference of opinion on what they should do about their children.
No specific gender for reader
A/N: There are many different ways to protect people and many different ways to get hurt doing so. This is my approach. I hope you like it! I have a feeling this is not at all what you were going for but with my other ideas, a happy ending simply wasn't going to work out haha Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âTommy! Slow down!â You shout at your son as he uses his abilities to finish the course you had set up for him in the woods. You were trying to teach him how to control his speed so that he could slow down in front of other people whenever he needed to run. It was too risky for him to be out in public ever since his abilities came in. He has no control and he doesnât want any. He was a ten-year-old boy who could run faster than a car. Of course he was having way too much fun. Â
Tommy giggles and thatâs how youâre able to spot him in his path and stop him by grabbing his arm. âHey! I didnât know you could do that!â He complains and tries to struggle out of your grip.
âThereâs a lot of things you donât know, kid,â you say and put special handcuffs on his wrists that stop his powers. âNow, behave or else Iâm leaving these on.â You hated having to resort to these measures but it was the only way to get him to listen.Â
He gets a mischievous glint in his eyes and tries to run away from you again but he isnât able to move a centimeter. He frowns looking at the cuffs, âThis is no fair! I doubt mom is doing this to Billy!âÂ
âI know she isnât, this is our only pair and unlike you, Billy listens.â You retort, making your boy pout and try to manipulate you into removing the cuffs with his big eyes that mirrored your own. He bats his lashes as he promises to behave and you almost take them off until a voice stops you.Â
âHeâs lying, leave them on,â Pietro walks through the woods and you greet him with a grateful smile and a hug, thanking him for making it out. âAre you kidding? If anyone is going to mentor my nephew in speed, itâs going to be me. No offense, Y/n, but you just donât have what we do. Ainât that right, champ?â He holds his fist out for Tommy to bump and the boy does with a wide grin.
âWait, I get to be taught by Uncle P?â Tommy asks excitedly and you try not to take it to heart. You did have the poor kid in handcuffs because you didnât know what else to do.Â
âYes, but only with my supervision. No funny stuff, Pietro. We donât need him exposing us to the community because of some silly prank,â you warn your brother-in-law. The two of you pretty much grew up together, you were well aware of his mischievous ways. In truth, itâs why the two of you got along so well but now that you were a parent you couldnât believe the amount of things the two of you got away with. It kept you up at night worrying that the boys might be just as clever as they got older.Â
âYou know there is a place where he might be safer if youâre so concerned aboââ
âIâm going to stop you right there. Wanda and I already discussed this. Weâre not sending our boys to some school where weâll never see them. Weâre not like those other parents. We actually love our kids and what theyâre capable of.â You explain further. When you found out that Tommyâs power was similar to Pietroâs, of course you called him, but you wish you hadnât needed to. He worked at Xavierâs School For Gifted Youngsters in New York and immediately insisted that you enroll them. It wasnât more than a train ride away from where you and Wanda lived in Westview, New Jersey, but that was still too far for your liking. âWe want them to feel normal.â
Pietro shakes his head at the statement. âThe only place they will feel normal is at the school, and you know it. You remember what it was like there, it was the best place for people like us. Without that place how else would you and Wanda have met?â You clench your jaw at his point. He had a fair point. Without that school you wouldnât have known that there were more people that had abilities and that there was nothing to be afraid of. You might not have found love without it. Or even thought it was possible for someone like you. âCome on, I will personally drive them down here every weekend. How does that sound?â He negotiates.Â
âLike you need to have this conversation with your sister. Her stance is no, thatâs where Iâll stand until she tells me otherwise,â you sternly respond.Â
This makes him smirk, âYouâre so whipped,â he mutters. Youâre unable to fire back at him because Tommy complains the handcuffs are itching. âAlright, I suppose Iâll let you out of those things.â Pietro holds his hand out to you and you roll your eyes as you hand him the keys. After Tommy is set free he is asking his uncle a million questions, ready to follow anything the man says to him. You enjoy seeing him so happy and watching how good Pietro is with him.Â
You began to wonder how many other kids might be just as fast as Tommy and what kinds of friends he might be able to make at the school. You knew that you would never feel comfortable with him or Billy making friends with kids at the school here. They could trust the wrong person and the next thing you knew, you and Wanda would be forced to relocate somewhere safe or go into hiding. As the lesson continues on you start to question if you and Wanda were doing more harm than good by keeping the boys in Westview. You knew how quick they were to turn against any mutant that gets exposed. There have been two other kids that got turned in this year alone.Â
When the sun begins to lower, you call it a day and the three of you head home. Luckily, Pietro had tired out Tommy so you didnât have to worry about him accidentally speeding home on the walk back to the car. Once youâre home, you notice something off about the windows. Walking through the door you find Wanda putting out a fire and Billy sitting on the stairs with an apologetic expression. The house was a complete wreck and there was no denying that you and Wanda were in over your heads. âDarn, I was hoping to have this all fixed up before you guys got back,â Wanda says breathlessly.Â
âWoah, Billy!â Tommy says, impressed by his brother's damage.Â
âOkay, boys, go get cleaned up for dinner,â you direct as you shoo them up the stairs. They protest but ultimately march in the direction. âWanda, I think we need to revisitââ
âNo! Iâm not sending them away, Y/n! After everything it took to become their mother, Iâm not going to send my babies away for someone else to raise them,â Wanda shakes her head. âI wonât have them thinking that we gave up on them.â You put your hands on Wandaâs shoulders to keep her from getting worked up. That was something that the both of you struggled with for so long. Feeling like your parents abandoned you because they were ashamed of you and your abilities. Which turned out to be true for your parents. However, it wasnât completely true for Wanda. But that was a mess of a story for another time.
âLook at this place, love, we donât have the means to teach them here. What if one of the neighbors stopped by while you were teaching Billy?â You hold Wandaâs hands in yours as you try to reason with her. âIt will be okay,â you reassure her but she pulls her hands out of yours. She looks at her brother angrily accusing him for turning you against her. âHe didnât do anything, other than show me that I canât teach our son because I have no idea how to. I donât have super speed and he needs more than a few hours on the weekends to learn.âÂ
Wanda chews on the inside of her cheek as she considers your words. She shakes her head and runs her fingers through her hair. âYou promised me that you would always protect them,â she says in a low whisper.Â
âThis is me protecting them. Wanda, they are kids who can do really cool things! Theyâre going to want to show off and what happens then? Things could get nasty and then everyone is in danger. I,â you sigh and try to get her to look at you. When she defiantly refuses to, you decide to put the conversation on hold because her brother is there and the kids are still up. You clear your throat, âI will help you clean up.â She mutters her gratitude.Â
Pietro whistles low and comments on the tension but offers to make dinner for everyone after Wanda gives him a killer glare. Together, you and Wanda clean up the mess that Billy made. As she fixes the television with her magic she thinks about the nights she spent crying in her bed missing home and the promises you made to her when you were younger.Â
âWhen we have kids, I swear, Iâm never going to send them away from us. If they have abilities, Iâll protect them no matter what. I never want them to feel the way we do,â you say as you gaze up at the stars from where you lie on the ground. The two of you had snuck out of your rooms and met up in a clearing in the woods to have a moment together. You brought a little picnic basket of desserts and Wanda provided a blanket for the two of you to lay on so that the grass didnât scratch either of you too much.Â
Wanda turns on her side to look at you with a blush and a smile, âYou think weâll have kids?â She reaches for your hand to play with your fingers.Â
You turn your head to look at her, âOf course, youâve always talked about becoming a mom.âÂ
âAnd youâve always hated the idea of raising kids,â she reminds you.
You lick your lips and fight a smile, she wasnât wrong. For a long time, you despised the idea of ever becoming a parent. But you fell in love with her and it didnât seem like such a ridiculous concept anymore. You take her hand and mess with one of the many rings on her fingers. âTrue, but when I gave you this promise ring, I said that I would do everything to make your dreams come true.â You flit your eyes to hers and peck her on the lips, âI meant it.âÂ
Wanda kisses you again, âI love you.âÂ
You and Wanda avoid eye contact throughout dinner. Neither of you says a word to the other and the boys can sense that something is wrong between the two of you. Pietro does his best to entertain and distract the boys but he can tell that they are more concerned about their parents. It wasnât unusual for you and Wanda to have a spat every now and then. But every time the two of you did, the boys never knew how to behave. They enjoyed it so much better when you and Wanda were mushy and playful.
When you send the boys to bed, neither puts up an argument about the early hour. They rush up the steps after telling everyone goodnight. Wanda lights a spelled candle that prevents anyone from listening in on the private conversation just in case either of the boys get curious.Â
âI told Charles,â Pietro states. âHe already knew, of course, but he is waiting for your call.âÂ
You look to Wanda and wait for her reaction but she doesnât give much of one. âWell you can tell him not to expect one. Weâve got it covered,â she says and you shake your head. âWhat? You hated that place as much as I did!âÂ
âI was a kid then,â you respond. âI didnât have the parents that Tommy and Billy do. I love those kids with every fiber of my being and so do you. My parents hate me, they wanted nothing to do with me then and certainly not now. Of course, I hated the place, fuck I hated myself back then. But looking back on it now, IâŠâ you look away from her while shaking your head. âI just remember the good stuff.â Wanda goes quiet as she continues to avoid looking at you. âI will be calling Charles first thing tomorrow and enrolling them, regardless if you change your mind,â you state. Wanda finally looks at you with the betrayal written all over her face. But you had to put your foot down.Â
She blows out the candle and stands to leave. You try to stop her but she holds her hand up to quiet you. âIâm going to bed,â she says. âDonât follow me.â She ascends the stairs and thatâs the end of the conversation.
You sigh and put your face into your hands. âI better be doing the right thing here, P.âÂ
He pats you on the back, âOnly time will tell.âÂ
You scoff and remove your hands from your face, âGood thing youâre not the guidance counselor, that was terrible.âÂ
A couple weeks later, you and Wanda are driving the boys to their new home. The car ride is silent other than the vehicle noises and the wind. Tommy was excited about the transfer when the two of you told them. But Billy was just as upset as his mother. He was surprisingly being the difficult twin this time. He refused to pack his things and kept trying to negotiate, promising to be a better kid if you would let him stay. You felt awful that he thought that way and tried to reassure him that this wasnât a punishment but every time you tried to get Wanda to help, she would shrug or walk away. You kept promising Wanda that it wasnât going to be a bad thing but she would just retort with mentions of your old naive promises.Â
She was really trying your patience but you had high hopes that after a week or so of the new arrangement she would see that it was the right choice. But it took longer than a week. The first couple were tough because Billy would call every night begging for you or Wanda to pick him up. It killed you to tell him to stick it out a little bit longer and every time you told him that you loved him, he retaliated with, âThen let me come home.âÂ
Wanda wouldnât let you sleep in the room but she would sneak into the guest room, where you slept, and would crawl in next to you for a few hours. You never said anything because you knew she would stop, so you simply took it at her showing that she still loves you even though she was being stubborn.Â
After the second month, Billyâs calls consisted of a boy named Teddy. The most you ever heard about Tommy was from Pietro or when they came home for the weekends. It was always updates about his progress or how many friends he was making so quickly. Wanda slowly began to stop punishing you when the boys asked you guys to come to the school to visit them instead of them coming home. She finally saw them with other kids like them and the freedom they had while being there. Back in Westview they would have been miserable trying to hide who they are. She saw that now.Â
Billy stopped seeing the new school as a punishment and when Wanda asked him how he felt about the school he told her that he loved it and thanked her for making him go. That night, Wanda took your hand and brought you to the bedroom.Â
One day Pietro calls to tell Wanda that Tommy had a bad fall and broke his arm. Fortunately, his abilities included fast healing but Wanda was upset again. She blamed you. âWanda, boys fall and break their arms all of the time! He probably would have done it if he was still living here!âÂ
âYes! But the difference is that we would have been there for him! Not an hour away, finding out when itâs too late to do anything for him!â She argues.Â
âHe is safe, he is fine, you heard him on the phone. He thought it was the coolest thing to ever happen to him. Tommy doesnât resent us for not being there,â you sigh and put your hands on your hips. âWanda, I donât know how much longer I can have you upset with me like this anymore. What do you want from me?â You helplessly ask. Feeling rundown and unbelievably hurt by the way she has been treating you.Â
Wanda clamps her mouth shut and looks at you. She throws her hands up as she considers what could be done about the situation that would make it better for her. It wouldnât be easy to take the boys out of the school since they really like it there. If she wasnât too stubborn to admit it, she would have to agree that it was the right choice to send them there. You sit down on the sofa as you wait for her to answer.Â
There was only one thing she wanted but you couldnât necessarily give her. âI need my babies,â she says. âI just need my babies back.â She falls to the loveseat.Â
You nod slowly, figuring thatâs what she would say. âI guess I could talk to Charles and Pietro again. Get the kidsââ
âNo,â she says. âThatâs not what I mean.â You look at her curiously. âI want them to be babies again. I want it back to when the safest place they could be was home with us. I want to be able to hold their entire bodies in my arms. I want them to be my babies again.â She says with watering eyes and a tight voice.Â
You nod and move to sit next to her. Cautiously, you put your arm around her and when you do, she falls against you as she cries. âI know, love. They grew up so fast.â You do your best to comfort your wife. âI didnât think it would be this hard,â you admit with tears in your eyes. âIâm sorry that I failed you,â you kiss the top of her head.
Wanda pulls away from you at your words and shakes her head, âNo,â she whispers. âNo, donât think that. You didnât fail me. Iâve just been so mad at the world for putting us in this position where we have to send our boys away to keep them safe. Iâm sorry that Iâve been taking it out on you.â She puts her hand around your neck and pulls you in for a kiss. âItâs not your fault,â she says between breaths. You pull her into a tight forgiving hug and suggest that the two of you should plan a fun summer vacation for the family and she agrees.Â
At some point you ask Charles to keep you and Wanda in mind in case a teaching position ever becomes available. He promises that the two of you will be the first he calls if there ever is. Summer comes around and you and Wanda spoil the boys with going to amusement parks nearby. You take them into the city for sightseeing and then take trips out to other popular family vacation spots. The boys were having way too much fun to question it and they were happy to see you and Wanda getting along again.
Before either of you are ready, school is back in session and the two of you are moving their stuff into their room. It happened to be your old room and you were surprised to find where you had carved your initials with Wandaâs on the desk they hadnât replaced. Wanda blushed when she saw it, she promised to show you how much she appreciated it later. The boys make grossed out noises when they overhear the comment. You laugh. âI know those sounds from anywhere,â a voice says. âStill grossing others out for your own amusement, Y/n?â Professor Xavier rolls into the room.Â
âActually, it was this one over here with her inability to whisper,â you tease.
âI see,â the man chuckles. âI used to speak to Erik with my mind whenever we werenât alone,â he hints towards Wanda. âOne of the benefits of gifts like ours.âÂ
Shocked by the information, you let out a short laugh and Wanda covers her face. âHow is the old ball and chain doing?â You ask and he glances at Wanda before he answers. Things were complicated with Wanda and her birth father, Erik Lensherr. She didnât even know that they were related until a couple years after attending this school. It made her feel so much worse about herself. She was abandoned by parents at birth only to be abandoned years later by the people she thought were her only parents. It took you years for her to trust that you would never abandon her.
âThat is a terrible term, you know,â he states and you shrug. âAnd he is doing just fine, thinking about going into an early retirement. I might join him, I think itâs time we gave others a chance to enrich the young minds that come through here. Donât you?â You find yourself even more shocked than before. The two of them leaving would mean that there would be space available for both you and Wanda to join the staff.Â
âWow, I donât think I could imagine this place without you in it,â Wanda speaks up. âWho do you think would replace you?â
The man smiles, âNo one can replace me. Iâm one of a kind.â You agree with him while Wanda gets annoyed by the interaction. âI do, however, have a few people lined up to take my position as headmaster. I will be testing them out through this term. Hopefully, I will find someone suitable before next school year.âÂ
It takes two years before you get the call that Charles and Erik have retired, leaving a few positions open. You inform Wanda and ask if she wants to teach there. She takes a month to come around to the idea of it and another month to make a final decision. The next time that youâre moving the boys into their room, you and Wanda are moving into one yourselves to start a new chapter of your lives.
The end.
Have another nonsense snippet! IDK I just wanted to write Billy Batson and Captain Cold bc heâs on my list of villain/ antihero/ dubious influence that would adore this lil magical street rat.
"This isn't what I had in mind when you invited me to Star City, you know." Billy couldn't quite reign in the resignation, the sigh not so much tired as aware he should've known better.
Captain Cold adjusted his hold on Billy, kept him secured under his arm like he was a sack of cash or jewels, and not a literal child he brought with to a heist. "I didn't invite you, lil scarlett, I kidnapped you."
"I was trying to be generous here."
"Don't do me any favors, or you'll smear my carefully crafted reputation."
"The only reputation you have is your enjoyment to hear yourself talk, Lenny," came the overly chipper, yet sarcastic voice of Gold Glider. She held her gold gun aloft on her shoulder, something shiny and most assuredly stolen in her hand.
Leonard Snart gave his sister a significant look that Billy had come to know as the 'haha you are very funny' look, but somehow with more attitude despite the blank expression. The Snarts were very good at a variety of silent expressions. "Come now, you have better insults than that."
"Tell him his plan is poorly thought out!" Billy piped up. Much to the delight of Lisa and chagrin of Len.
"Insulting the man that kidnapped you isn't well thought out, kid."
"Hey! Being kidnapped means I get to insult you the entire time! If you're using me as an accessory to a crime, I should have a say,â as though Billy would ever actually want to be involved, but he knew by this point he was along for the ride. There was a reason Len kept a hold on him and it was not entirely to ensure Billyâs safety.
âNo, being kidnapped means you get exactly zero say. Youâre supposed to look sad and distressed, canât you turn on those big blues and get the water works going?â
The look Billy shot up at him made Lisa whistle in appreciation.
âLook at that, the kid is actually learning something from you!â
âLise...â
âAlright, alright, Iâll go check on Mick and make sure heâs not setting any paintings on fire. Try to teach the kid something else while you got him!â
The paired shouting of âIâm not a dog!â and âHeâs not my mentee!â only got a lazy wave as she strutted away. Whatever the kid got from this, Lisa didnât particularly care. He wasnât in danger and not for reals upset, so the two boys spending time together was a good thing all around. Her brother got antsy when he didnât bother any of his favorite good doers.
âWe could have literally done anything else today, you know. Couldâve enjoyed the museum without stealing from it! Or gone to the park or the movies-â
âAs riveting as those suggestions are, none of them spark the true Star City experience as a good ol heist with yours truly,â Leonard had walked into the next room and proceeded to freeze a glass container and its security sensors, hitting it just right to break apart and leave the golden wristlet free to grab. âBesides, do ancient Egyptian artifacts truly belong to this place?â
Billy was about to open his mouth to tell Len that how museums work and function probably involved a lot of paperwork and handling objects between hands, but then he realized he also didnât actually know who owned all of the stuff there. Especially the older pieces that were probably stolen from sites long ago anyway. Billy closed his mouth, and Len made a triumphant noise.
âLemme see!â Those crafty, nimble hands of his swiped the bracelet before the bad could close, and Billy inspected the item closely. It didnât feel magical, but it definitely felt old. Or at least he thought it did. âHmmm...â
âI wonât reprimand you for that, so long as you plan on keeping it.â As if Len would be entirely too proud if he got Billy to steal something.
Billy said nothing to rebuke that.
âI sincerely hope youâre not giving kiddie lessons on stealing, Cold,â came a sudden familiar voice behind them, right as the air in the room became charged with the sort of energy only the speed force could conjure. âThievery 101 shouldnât go on his resume for school.â
It was like Lenâs entire face lit up, he smiled wide and turned on his heels with a dramatic pivot. âOh, donât be absurd, Scarlett. This is at least Heist 105, the kid isnât a total newbie.â
The Flash crossed his arms, not at all buying it, but that was part of the game there - the banter. Though this particular situation was a new one. Barry had been aware that Len and Billy knew each other, but seeing one hoist the other under his arms in the midst of an afterhours heist was still not something he had been prepared to deal with. âThe kid isnât going to steal artifacts for you.â
A red gloved hand gestured out for the golden wristlet.
Blue eyes glanced up at the Flash, and then back down to the artifact. He made a noise of conflicted contemplation.
âBilly...â The Flash began, somewhat stern, but mostly surprised and unsure at the turn of events.
Billy made the noise again and held onto the bracelet tighter.
âHah! Sorry, little scarlet is taking my classes after all,â Len crowed.
Barry made a displeased sound, âYouâre being a bad influence on him, is what youâre doing!â
âNo need to be jealous,â Captain Cold cooed, absolutely delighted by it all. âYouâre still my favorite crime fighting idiot in tights, Scarlet. The kidâs just on my team now.â
âIâm not taking it for myself!â Billy felt the need to explain himself. He didnât steal unless it was right thing to do, and sometimes it was! But he also really did not want Barry to be disappointed in him. âIf itâs from Ancient Egypt it should go to someone of that culture, right? Since it was probably just taken from the ground or a burial site...â
âUh, news flash, kid, no one alive from that yesteryear is running around - puns intended.â Whatever Billyâs reasoning, Len was still counting this as win.
âWell, I mean, thereâs one person...â
âBilly.â This time Flash used a tone that was definitely stern and concerned.
âWhat! Heâs actually from Ancient Egypt, and--â
âNo.â
âBut if thereâs anyone who would have a claim--â
âThatâs not how this works, Billy!â
âNow, hold on, let the kid speak--â
âStay outta this, Len!â
âIâm giving it to Teth Adam.â
And for once, of their own volition, both The Flash and Captain Cold agreed, âBilly, no!â
#billy batson#captain marvel#shazam#the flash#captain cold#listen. I just love Cold and Flash banter so much#and adding Billy into the mix makes it so much better#also no. billy does not understand how museums or reparations work#he just wants Teth Adam to like him. or at least not hate him#gifts should work right?#in which Flash and Cold become uncles that teach billy contradictory lessons#he doesnt need them but he likes spending time with both of them
This chapter is amazing!! Just where do I start! First of all I love your inclusion of "Dawn". just reading our trainer character going through and seeing time and space for a moment was so cool. Like I really was seeing things through her eyes... And when the "Dawn" character told the protagonist that they shared the same name đ„șđ„ș and how they thought the protag was so cool and wanted to be just like her, and that's how she got to where she is now đ„ș. For a moment I thought she was gonna turn out to be a descendant of the protag and Ingo would remark they looked identical or something. Like, protag would go back to the modern day but knowing that someone with her blood was like her neighbor or a celebrity. Also the Emmet letter was heartbreaking but so very sweet. The brothers are more sad to me if Ingo is the younger one lmao.
I'm really happy Akari has finally realized how valuable she is as a person, or at least on the road to it. Not to mention the convo for Rei, i like how you didn't ham in any romance into the work. Like if there is any romance, its not shouted, its just there with traces. Also her being the overseer of the clans/team contract was really funny to me. Honestly I was surprised for a second but her role as a mediator suits her. I'm really happy for her
Thank you!!!
Definitely romance in that situation would have felt so weird haha. Being someone else's ancestor would also feel SO weird. I didn't mention Akari's sexuality because it wasn't relevant, but since she's just Vaguely Me she's probably aroace. As it stands we have absolutely no explanation as to why Dawn and Akari look so similar and have the same name. Maybe Arceus has same-face syndrome when designing protaganists?
I really liked how the letter turned out. I'm rarely happy with stuff like that, but I was pretty happy with it. If it helps (?), when Emmet says something along the lines of "you're my little brother (would you believe me if I said that?)", I meant that Ingo was OLDER and that Emmet was teasing him by pretending he was younger. As in, did Ingo really remember so little that he would believe Emmet if he told him that he was younger? So if that helps???
Akari's arc was purposefully made a bit subdued and subtle, but it's still a big influence in the story. Just a local teen with bad self-esteem, who's been through something pretty traumatic and feels rejected. She had found something resembling a community in Galaxy Team and Jubilife, and she hadn't been able to get over their rejection. She probably always felt weird and an outsider at home, and she's an outsider here too. The timeline thing is a very flashy and fictionalized way of depicting something very simple - that our relationships matter, and that the good we do in the world matters. That nobody's really unimportant, and when you help people and care about people then they'll care about you back. Community will find you and this is a threat. Very Ghibli.
I think Pokemon lends itself well to a message that can be as simple as "let people care about you" or "you're deserving of love" or just a very 'Good Place' what we owe to each other type of thing. Ingo summed it up pretty succinctly - that even if it's hard to believe and even if she still feels alienated, she's not riding this line alone. And it's not really until she accepts that she CAN change things that she decides to change things.
The mediator thing was pretty important to me. I realllyyyy didn't want to go Dances with Pokewolves and have a white ("white") savior narrative in there. I didn't want Akari to show up and use her colonizer culture to fix colonization. I hope I made it clear enough that the solution isn't for the clans to become Pokemon trainers as Akari understands them. It's not about catching Pokemon or battling, it's just about teaching them how to train Pokemon so they can protect themselves better against wild Pokemon and deepen their pre-existing relationships.
At the end of the day Akari just used her connections and respect among both cultures to bring the conversation to a more open and honest footing. And use her army of sentient WMDs to make sure that nobody gets into any fights about it and that any agreements are honored. I hoped that was the most respectful way to depict both Akari's passion for decolonization, Adaman and Irida's autonomy and importance, Galaxy Team's [unrealistically...] good intentions, and punting any ideas of modernity/civility/advancement out of the window. Not completely sure if I got it right but I did the best I could considering - woof, the messaging of the source material, the fuck.
God, like. I don't LIKE talking about colonization from this super messy perspective. Going too realistic would really ruin the tone and just make the whole thing even weirder. The entire story was a really weird balancing act and I ended up having to frame the events and narrative really carefully. I was sweating over it quite a bit, but it was so incredibly weird how the Jubilife guys talked so much about how Hisui was some lawless, dangerous unsettled and uninhabited wasteland where nobody could possibly survive...when the Pearl & Diamond guys are just chilling. It's bad rhetoric. I didn't want to prop up D&P as inherently more moral and virtuous and good than the GT by nature of being indigenous, but I don't think D&P would have let a fifteen year old get mauled by wild Shinx if she wasn't a Pokemon catching genius, is what I'm saying. It was just weird and I couldn't leave it alone. Balancing that weirdness was the hardest work of the story.
Stuff I don't like talking about because it's so out of my lane that it's not even funny but it would be disingenuous not to address. Thanks for reading! We'll see if Akari's efforts helped any in the epilogue.
#my writing#even if Akari was cishet#knowing her she lives in fear of accidentally creating a descendant and makes a vow of chastity#she and Rei would be cute though! i left it ambiguous one way or another#so imagine whatever you like#'this is out of my lane but I can't in good faith not talk about it'#is how human relations in tma got#Like That TM
Okay so this is kind of all over the place but..I saw this on my dash:
https://autumnslantern.tumblr.com/post/675290680576311296/thank-you-for-finding-these-id-forgotten-about-a
So, I'm not? Sure? How to feel? About this? Idk, I usually stay away from JC stuff in general (I am generally neutral on him bc like. The story ain't about him. I didnt spend too much time contemplating the guys inner thoughts, you know? I am here for wwx.) but I feel like the more I see fandom posts about this kinda stuff, the more I start to dislike him? Idk if that makes sense haha
But YEAH. Why is it that even when people are generally like "I like wwx, I just___" its always followed by what I see as victim blaming? Am I overreacting?? Idk idk...
lol let me clarify, when that account says it's "pulling from the novel" what it means is: op is pulling their null reading comprehension out of their ass and writing some moronic, nonsensical shit to make jc look like less of an asshole directly ignoring the intention of the author in regard to jc refusing to help WWX, WN & WQ.
Yes, jc told everyone WWX was the enemy of the entire cultivation world and didn't reveal that Wen Ning and Wen Qing risked everything to save his miserable life and returned the bodies of his parents (and Zidian) when Nie Mingjue asked directly and Lan Xichen spoke up for them, because he cared so much and he wanted to rebrand WWX's image! Totally! This is years after the end of the war. YunmengJiang is reestablished. jc didn't help because he didn't want to not because he couldn't. He let the situation become what it was. There's a difference between people believing some shit about WWX and WWX's former martial brother/Clan leader visiting the burial mounds and cutting ties with him and CONFIRMING IT ALL FOR THEM. MXTX even had JGY sum it all up nicely in the end:
"But what you have to understand is that, for what happened to Young Master Wei in the end, you are responsible too and in fact, you are very much so. Why did so many people crusade against the YiLing Patriarch? Why did they shout their support, no matter if they were involved or not? Why was he one-sidedly condemned by so many? Was it really their sense of justice? Of course not. A part of the reason is you."
Chances are if YanLi hadn't wanted to show off her dress he wouldn't have interacted w WWX again, considering the "aid" WWX was given was a dress fitting and a bowl of soup! lol
Also their point re: Mianmian : "And she still was very clearly not welcome anymore even if she wanted to be, jeered at and mocked on her way out the door." lol k
"Soon, some began to agree, âWomen will always be women. They quit just after you say a few harsh words. Sheâll definitely come back on her own, a couple of days later.â
âThereâs no doubt. After all, she finally managed to turn from the daughter of a servant to a disciple, hahaâŠâ"
They clearly fucking thought she was going to come back.
Discussing anything w someone like that is futile bc they're starting from an intellectual point where they don't even have an iota of logic or reasoning. You might as well try to teach them to read all over again.
And all the - "guys", "listen guys". đ The rhetoric is almost worse than the takes. And that's saying something.
Spritefather and Selene Interaction
A fan drabble for @clouds-rambles, I hope I characterized Selene right
Without much prompting it's a tad hard to write like this, but I hope it works.
Also I hope you don't mind me mentioning Cael amnesia anon.
(Selene was hanging out with Cael when Venti makes trouble, bringing the night to a close)
(Selene pov)
Yet again, I had to drag Cael's boyfriend out of the bar. This time because he thought someone was insulting his father and punched them, but he was just talking about some mythological person called 'Spritefather'.
I haven't thought about that story in a long time, not since I was a kid. Something about him being able to "use all elements" or something and how he "taught Barbados about freedom", maybe I'll ask Lisa about it.
"Excuse me madam, my father needs to speak to that man you're carrying. Please, hand him to me." I heard a voice from behind me say, the accent was a thick Schneznayan one.
I turned around to meet the person, a woman in an outfit that wouldn't look out of place in a family portrait of old Schneznayan nobility, they also held a vision.
A cryo vision.
I three Venti into a hay pile and summoned my spear, "your a pretty bad liar, LA SIGNORA!"
"No wait! You've got it all w-" I jabbed at her with my spear, using conduct to increase it's power, "I said wait!-"
"I don't bargain with people who hurt my friends!" Hehe, that was a cool line, nice one Selene.
"W-WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU INSINUATE THAT I WOULD HURT MY OWN BROTHER!" The woman gasped and pointed behind me.
I looked back and saw an abyss mage sneaking away with Venti.
"HEY! THAT'S MY BROTHER/BEST FRIEND'S BOYFRIEND!"
The mage noticed and bolted away. We chased it all the way to star conch cliff, where it threw Venti over the edge.
"Haha! Do your worst human! I have already completed my mission! Now without your precious archon, mondstadt will-!"
A tornado of water sprouted up from the sea, then froze in place. From the newly formed spiral of ice rose a cloaked man, and around him were 6 wisps of every element but cryo.
The mage turned around, and were it not for the dendro tendril crushing it's windpipe they would have screamed in horror.
"First you threaten to kill my son," the cloaked man stepped off the spire, the air polarizing itself with electro to form a step, "then you kidnap him while my daughter is trying to retrieve him," another step, this time the air simply pushes him up to form a step, "and now you have followed through on that threat. It tried to," the man took one last, powerful step, to which a geo platform met his feet and lifted him to the hanging abyss mage, "how truly foolish must you be."
He man then lit the tendril on fire, burning the mage like a furby in a campfire.
The man lowered himself down, Venti in his arms, and said, "I'm sorry Barbados, I should have gone to get you myself. Viktoria, what happened?"
Then he noticed me.
"EEEEP!" He shouted as he dropped Venti with a thud.
(3rd person limited, Spritefather pov)
'Oh celestia, a person! No no, keep it together. You love interacting with humans in a controlled manner. This is just as controlled, just...a suprise.' Spritefather thought.
"By Barbados' hairy nostrils! You're the Spritefather!" The human Selene shouted.
Spritefather straightened himself out and cleared his throat, "y-yes, I am. But I am not 'the' Spritefather, I'm just Spritefather. Saying 'the Spritefather' is like calling you 'the Selene'. But now isn't the time for such trivial bickerings," Spritefather gave a gentlemanly bow, "thank you for attempting to rescue my eldest child, and for taking him home everytime he indulges a bit to much on vices."
Viktoria facepalmed, "dad! They aren't supposed to know that!"
"Well why not? They're friends with him, and best friends with his boyfriend. Which by the way I STILL need to meet-" he noticed Selene was seeming kind if pale, "you ok?"
*thud*
"Oh dear."
_____________________
(3rd person omniscient pov)
(There's no good point to explain this, but they're in a serenitea pot)
Selene woke up in a very confused state, and on a cloaked woman's lap.
"Please do not be alarmed, neither me nor my daughter did anything to you." The woman said.
Selene, in response, punched the woman and scrambled away, "who the abyss are you!?"
"Well I'm not particularly loved by celestia but I'd hardly say I'm abyssal.."
"Father, people here are not as accustomed to the divine as Liyue or Inazuma." The woman from before, who Selene thought was La Signora, said as she approached them with some tea.
"Wait, fa-no, no. Don't do that Selene, it's rude."
The cloaked woman shook her hands to dismiss Selene's concern, "it's fine, however I thank you for your accepting nature. Though it is to be excepted given your personal identity."
"How do you know me?"
"Heh, have you forgotten already? Though I suppose the change in form is not common among you humans. And nonexistent in the way me and the wisps can do."
The woman got up and started twirling, then surrounded themself in elemental power, and when it cleared stood the cloaked man Selene saw in her dream...
*wait*
"That wasn't a dream...holy shit that wasn't a dream! You're the Spritefather-I mean-you're Spritefather! Your real!"
"Indeed I am. I would think everyone in mondstadt believes I'm real, but atleast that leaves less for that misconception."
"What misconception?"
"Ask Barbados, shouldn't be too hard since you two are close."
"Barba-wait Venti is actually Barbados!?
"Oh dear I'm making this worse."
The still unnamed woman sighed and shook her head, "how about we focus on why my dad decided to be a woman? Surely that would be a far more easy thing to understand."
"It's because she likes women, and I don't blame her. World cold and hard, titty warm and soft."
"Dad who taught you that!?"
"You do realize I can hear the lives of all in my home yes?"
"I guess I'm at fault." Selene laughed.
"I will have my revenge upon you for this." The woman responded.
Spritefather chuckled, "oh? And how about you get your revenge over a date. Anastasia."
"F-FATHER!"
"What? She's single, friends to someone who can teach her proper tea ceremonies, and uh....they have....hmmm..." Spritefather was trying to think if what he could say to convince his daughter, "look I just want to see grand kids!"
"FATHER"
"K-KIDS!?"
"Look I'm pushing fifty million! If one of you doesn't get me kids in the next ten million years I'm going to grow grey hair!"
Anastasia starts forming an ice throwing knife, "REBEL'S-"
"Papa, what happen?" Came a childish voice.
Selene gasped, they were looking at probably the cutest thing EVER!
"Oh my ARCHONS! IS THAT A PYROSPRITE!?"
"Yes that's my child Flameo-"
Selene, already having picked up the the baby, "they're so CUTE!"
They hugged the little flame close to their face and nuzzled them, to which Flameo quickly responded to with their own.
"Smell like..." they thought for a moment, "big Bro Bardos!" They flew around Selene excitedly, "friend!"
Spritefather sighed, "Oh dear, now the rest will be coming out. And I just got them to sleep aswell."
It wasn't long before Selene was surrounded by six Sprites.
The Electrosprite landed on her vision and started vibrating happily.
The Geosprite asked, "are you strong!? I think I could be you!"
"Oh I'm sure you could." Selene said to appease the little Sprite as she chuckled chuckled.
The Anemosprite and Pyrosprite flew around her head like children.
The Hydrosprite was inspecting her clothes, "how utterly bourgeois, has my Brother and father been teaching you how to dress? Honestly, the people of mondstadt should learn from the reconnaissance captain of the knights. Now there's a woman who knows how to dress."
"Oh you mean Eula?"
"You know her?"
"Oh yeah, she's invites me to tea every now and then."
"SHE...invites....YOU...out for TEA!?-"
Anastasia puts her hand over the Hydrosprite and tries to hold her back
"Sorry about that," the woman replied, "kids and their crushes."
(Agua, muffled: I'M SIXTEENTH HUNDRED YEARS OLD!)
"Ha-haaa...."
Selene couldn't respond to that as they felt a prick in her spine, causing them to yelp.
A Dendrodsprite slinkied up her back and put it's head on her shoulder, "just sampling...never seen blood like yours...so intertwined with the...divine....yet so distan-"
Spritefather picked up his child, "please forgive Leafy, they're in their...adventurous stage. And their adventure is to learn things. Often things that involve pins and needles."
This was going to be a looong night
_____________________
The next day, Vanessa's tree
Selene yawns and falls on the statue, Venti doing the same. The difference between them is one is hungover and waiting for his boyfriend to take him home after the fifth assassination attempt this week, the other has to deal with the consequences of being loved by children and being there to try and stop the most recent assassination
"Holy shit....this hang over....I thought Decrabain's hailstorms were bad..."
"You shouldn't try watching after Leafy.....but I think half the pains are from Agua's jealousy bites......"
"You think that's bad?.....you should have seen them when they realized Cael and I....were dating....."
"...archons I hope I was never like that as a kid...."
"Oh cherry up you two!" Spritefather said, a bit too loud for the two, "it's a new day and-"
Venti hit his father with a clump of grass using anemo
"YOUNG MAN!-
"Ohheythere'sCaelgottagobye!" The archon said as he ran off.
Spritefather sighed, "he's always like that, running from responsibilities. But he always means up when it counts, so I can only say I'm proud of the man he's become," he thought for a moment, "except for when he turns into a woman for whatever reason, then I'm proud of the woman she's become...you know, after being around single form life for so long stuff like that feels so strange. I mean you humans are born with one form and cant naturally change it. But if you feel it's wrong you'll go through so much trouble just to get close to what us shape changers can get. While to humans it is inspiring purely because of the person's determination to take the form they so deserve, that they were truly meant to have. But for me it's so much more! The human spirit and will is oh so inspiring, but the amount humans go through! So much money, so much time, and in many places simply enduring life! Why even I couldn't get the...uh...transphobia is it?...out of Inazuma!Terribly sorry human language changes so much. Oh and on language! To think that I was there when the first cave man was trying to mimic the grunts of the gods, only to make something so much superior to them to the point that the gods copied THEM! And speaking of copies have you ever heard of the time Dainsleif-" he paused as he saw Selene's bored face, "sorry. One little thing and I start ranting and rave...no, it's info dumping. And I should thank you humans for making that term, and all the other wonder words you've made, and the medical advances. They've helped me understand myself....ah but look at me, rambling on again. You know what? For entertaining my kids the whole night, and listening to an old man's ramblings, I'll give you a boon. Anything you want, if I can get it you shall have it."
Selene thought for a moment. She thought about asking him to bring back her father, but they knew he couldn't raise the dead. She even thought...of her mother, to see her again, but they knew that it wouldn't help. A selfish part of her even wanted someway to reignite her's and Rosaria's relationship, after all that part of her life was, but she knew it would be wrong and that they both agree they just didn't work.
Perhaps just ask for mora? She did need some for a good night's rest, but that felt wasteful. What was one night's rest for what could be a lifetime of amazing power. But maybe it would be wrong to ask for something like power. Ah! She's got it!
"How about a spear? A really powerful one that compliments my powers perfectly! Oh! And make it look really cool!"
Spritefather blinked, then laughed, "well, that's rather simple isn't it? So amazing you humans. You expect them to make something big and/or selfish, like taking control of a country, or killing someone. Yet never once has one of my boons been used for anything bad. Even when they're selfish. Like one time I met a very selfish person who I granted a boon, and all he did with it was ask me to make sure the kids of Inazuma were never hungry. Ah, now that. That was ranting, sorry." Spritefather walked over to the statue's base and knocked three times, "hello Vanessa. It's been a while since I last called you, but I was hoping you could give me a hand? And perhaps a very sturdy branch off your tree?"
"Uhhh-"
A light shown down from the heavens and the ground shook, causing a skeletal hand to rise from the depths.
Selene would have screeched if she weren't so tired, "I'd prefer my weapon to be less...body part-sy."
"Nonsense! Everyone knows that bones make the best weapons! You know why it's called a prototype rancor?! BECAUSE NOONE WANTS TO ACCEPT THAT THE PERFECTED VERSION I, THE INVENTOR, MADE INCLUDES THE SHINBONES OF MITSCHURLS! YOU EVER SEEN A-*ahem*-sorry, rambling."
As he was ranting, a branch handed Spritefather a sturdy branch from the tree.
"Perfect, now a bit of magic and-" the two items blew up in Spritefather's face before reforming into a purple and black spear that ended in a feathery sleeve like pattern that was attached to a sharp blade that looked very much like a hand made into a spear blade. Mainly because it was.
A brilliant light shone down on the Spritefather as he floated up and presented the spear to Selene(mumbled: thanks Venessa)
"SELENE OF MONDSTADT!"
His voice became that of s god's, filled with power and compassion, booming across windrise.
"YOU HAVE SPOKEN YOUR WISH, AND BY MY HONOR AS THE ENTERNAL FATHER, I AM DUTY BOUND TO GRANT IT!"
He leans imup to Selene and whispered to her, "do you like the eternal father moniker? I thought it up myself."
"Oh yeah, 10/10, really keeping with the Inazuman background."
"Thanks."
"TAKE YOUR GRAND BLADE, AND GO FORTH TO CARVE THROWS DESTINY AND TILL YOUR OWN FUTURE!"
Selene took the spear, "uh...thanks?"
"Oh your very welcome. By the way how was that delivery? I've been working on the whole 'I am a powerful being' delivery for a few centuries."
"A bit hard to understand, but overall gets the vibe across. Maybe 8/10? Low seven probably."
"Yeah, I kind of expected that. Wonder how else I could get that effect, you know without the whole can't understand thing."
"Well, I've got teo other immortals to meet. Ones I need to question."
"Ah yes, I'm sure Cael and Barbados have much to answer for to you."
"Yes they do. I don't suppose 'see you around' would be appropriate here?"
"On a sense? It's appropriate. After all I'm your friend now aswell, and I prefer a life without isolation. So...see you round?"
"Sure, see you around."
_____________________
Admittedly didn't know how to end this. I like it but I'm a tad worried I made it to focused on my character and didn't give Selene enough attention.
Regardless I hope you enjoyed it cloud! I really tried to get Selene right. And sorry it took so long, sleep kept getting messed up, and then covid shot+forgetting to hydrate kicked my ass.
Street Dance of China, Season 4, Episode 7
- The figures make a return!!! I love them, they are so cute.
- Anyway, itâs cute that each of the teams have kind of a common room to chill. Helps with the team atmosphere, I think.
- Yixing playing the flute/pipe that has a gourd at the top. I recall seeing a video where heâs played it before, so the production crew probably got it so that he could show off a bit.
- The fact that Han Gengâs having a cooking class is just reaffirming my beliefs that Han Geng would be the best captain to have if I was a contestant. They have the most fun.
- Yibo is so super serious though. While the other teams are chilling, heâs already thinking of his redemption plan. Iâll be honest, it feels....a little too tense. As a captain, I think he needs to take time for his team to relax and regroup.
- My boy Yixing recruited my boy MT-Pop T_T He gave him the Baymax to accompany when heâs feeling lonely because apparently MT-Pop said that he missed home often T_T Also Yixing was watching for MT-Popâs expression except he was emotionless and PoppinâC was like no, donât worry, heâs always like this XD I thought that Baymax suited MT-Pop too because he likes monsters so I think itâs not a reach to guess that he likes superheroes and comics and cool characters. Also, like Baymax, MT-Pop is also friend-shaped. Anyway, I wonder if he was feeling emotional here because he missed home ;_;
- Yixing gave Momo the CUTEST cat lamp T_T
- In the captain interview, Momo asked Yixing if his stomach was alright. I saw in some behind-the-scenes photos that Yixing had a bad stomach that day, so I guess that was why he was so disappointed with his performance. Iâd initially thought it was his back problems (because he was shown getting some back massages/chiropractic stuff done to his waist in other behind-the-scenes footage), but I think the back/waist stuff is something thatâs been going on for a longer time.
- Lmao Nelson being like âI know girls, they love that cute stuffâ XD And he noted how Momo seemed more comfortable with Yixing. To be fair, heâs onto something, I am girl and I love cute stuff and dudes that make me smile. (Though in the end, Momo chose Yibo)
- I thought it was cute that Momo was talking through the wall to MT-Pop, asking if heâd already chosen his team. I love the friendships between the dancer contestants v.v
- Yixing gave copies of his Lit physical album to the Gogo Brothers...all of the fans who couldnât get their hands on a copy are gonna be mad haha.
- Yixingâs team tried to surprise Gogo Brothers when they joined their team ^^;;
- This is as wild as Yixing is going to go lol. He was waving the scarves being all âWOOHOO!!â
- Yixing and Han Gengâs teams shouting for Bozi across however many rooms made me laugh XD Especially because Bozi is such a stoic dude.
- Yixingâs relief at having recruited Bozi. As we know, he doesnât have much confidence in recruiting dancers.
- When Bunta and Henry had their interview they were being all âHEYYY MY GUY!!!!â Very buddy-buddy. And then Henry to his team was like âIâve never talked to Bunta.â The art of faking it gets you far.
- For the contestants who get to choose between two or more captains, they get an extra blind box with a little doll in it. I wonder what that is. Itâs so cute, I want one v.v (I love dolls)
- The rejection on Han Gengâs face XD Is this the first time heâs been outplayed?
- In addition to getting everyone on his team to sign the card, Yixing also asked Rei from Gogo Brothers to come with him to recruit Bunta, and it worked in the end.
- Yixing turning the party into a concert being like âMAKE SOME NOISE!!!â
- Not gonna lie, the performances arenât the best, probably because theyâre just for funsies anyway. It doesnât bother me that much though, at least they look like theyâre having fun. As a wise man once said, fun must be always.
- OMG YES YIXING. He went full memery on this XD
- Thereâs so much going on here. The song they danced to was a famous song by Xiaohudui (a Taiwanese boyband). When questioned about their choice of music, Yixing was like âyeah, weâre an international boyband!â We know Yixing is super serious so the fact that they did this cheesy stuff is supremely surprising but also SUPER AWESOME. The other captains were like âyou were too serious!â but the reason why this worked was because they were serious tbh. As Psy once said, dress classy, dance cheesy. Anyway, Iâm a fan. Look at how fabulous they are.
- Yiboâs team danced to the Huluwa song. Look at Liangliangâs hair lol.
- You canât see this very well but Bouboo carried Yibo away in a firemanâs hold.
- So this is how Han Gengâs gonna play it, huh
- Thereâs just A LOT going on here
- Henry getting lessons from Xiaoji on how to have swag (ft. Xiao Jie as the teaching assistant).
- Yixing kept being like âge, watch the expression!!â
- You can tell who did and didnât get their hair done just by looking at who is wearing the headphones properly. Also, I used to be super whatever about cat ear headphones, but now I am so down for them. I want a pair of cat ear headphones even though I never use headphones (prefer earphones).
- Ok this is cute. Xiao Jie is trying to explain the passage to Bouboo in English, but Xiao Jieâs English is a bit limited. At this part he was trying to explain a watermelon to Bouboo and was like âitâs an apple but itâs bigger and itâs green.â Han Geng and Yibo are just having a ball. Look at how big Yibo is laughing? Boy never laughs like that.
- Somehow Bouboo understood Xiao Jieâs English, and then Bouboo was like âyour English is very Chineseâ which prompted another round of laughs. He would know, heâs probably been around a lot of Chinese people trying to speak English to him.
- Yo, Rochkaâs Mandarin pronunciation is REALLY good. Heâs really good at replicating the tones.
- Henry, Sanâer, and Rochka turned their final answer into a song XD
- Yixing tried to game the system lol. Instead of reciting the whole passage, he picked the easiest words. It wasnât totally perfect, but his method allowed the players to focus on key words instead of memorizing the small details and preposition words. Smartest catboi (y)
- We already knew Henry was good at piano (I know he has at least RCM Level 10, probably has his ARCT too), but heâs also appropriately showy about it.
- OMG ROCHKA SINGING æäșźä»ŁèĄšæçćż (ft. Henry harmonizing)
- Now Boris!
- Of course this mf had to whip out the violin.
- Okay so I kept seeing that clip of Yixing dancing to the sexy dance with Ibuki and Qiao Zhi and I had no idea what it was from. NOW I KNOW.
- Henry is SO MEAN he keeps bullying C-Lil and telling him that if he doesnât do well he has to go home. STOP BULLYING HIM!!!
- The captains keep roping in team members to do the dances with them haha.
- Waiwai was saying how sheâs never seen Bozi and Qiao Zhi smile while breaking and yet they look like theyâre having a ball learning the sexy dance.
- Yibo did some magic tricks. Something Iâve noticed is that Yibo is actually quite good at public speaking. He makes very few mistakes, barely uses any filler words. Anyway, his first magic trick didnât quite work, but the rest of them did (y)Â
- Han Geng performed a dance that he said he learned when he was very young. I remember when he was still doing stuff regularly with Super Junior, people would ask him to show off the ethnic dances that heâd studied. This performance was exactly that, plus some added shenaniganery at the end.
- I really liked Ma Xiaolong and Rochkaâs performances. Ma Xiaolong is such a good singer? Like itâs not just the skill, but he has creativity when he sings. As for Rochka, his performance was just so much fun. He was a good singer too but he also brings such charisma.
- Really sorry to hear about Zykoâs sister :( I canât be mad, he needs to go home. He looked so down too when he was calling Han Geng. All the best to his family :(Â I did really love Zyko on the show. He was so open minded and so easygoing. All the best v.v
- Iâm glad that the other contestants got to see him off (AC, Ibuki, Rochka, Ma Xiaolong). Rochka looked so sad. He strikes me as a sympathetic guy, so I donât doubt that he was troubled by the news too.
- Not gonna lie, the news about Zyko kind of brought my mood down. Itâs not that the show is âruined,â itâs just the idea of his sister being so seriously hurt thatâs hard swallow for me. I canât believe how Zyko must be feeling. Donât get me wrong, Iâm still going to watch the rest of the show, I guess the news was just a stark reminder that we live in the real world.Â
Crossover Headcanons
((I know I have requests in my inbox but I just had to get this out of my head. Also I probably wonât be posting those requests for a while because my writerâs block is only barely starting to lift, so...))
Anyway this is gonna start off from one perspective and go to more later. Enjoy. đ
Tw: past death, nightmares
...
So this is a... spin-off? Of the reincarnation au? An alternate timeline? A variant? Whatever it is the newsies are reincarnated and remember their past.
Also somehow most of them are going to the same college here, (Iâm not going to say which one because I donât want to research colleges right now) even if theyâve got a wide range of majors.
Thereâs only one dorm building even if people are only allowed to share a room with someone of the same gender.
This works out well for Elmer, because heâs pretty happy to be rooming with his boyfriend, Buttons.
But then he gets up to the floor their dorm is on and almost drops the box heâs holding.
Because itâs fuckin her. His national-level math nemesis since 11th grade. Theyâve only faced off twice, the first time with her team winning and the second with his winning, but theyâre each the only one who can beat the other in a math competition.
Elmer can see the shock in her eyes as she recognizes him and shouts YOU and then sheâs stomping over to him aggressively enough that heâs pretty sure she wants to throw down physically.
Jack (whoâs also on that floor with Davey) figures that too, and steps in front of him before she gets too close, but that girl acts like she doesnât even notice him and shouts I WAS HALF A SECOND BEHIND YOU SOLVING THAT PROBLEM!
Elmer is kinda terrified but he defensively shoots back well I still solved it first and moves around Jack because this is his math nemesis and his fight.
The girl scowls at him for a couple more seconds then just sticks out her hand to shake, and Elmer realizes that he doesnât actually know her name beyond the surname heâs seen on the back of her mathletes jacket. She introduces herself as Cady Heron.
Elmer Kazprzak, he responds, and Cady looks like sheâs trying not to laugh, but he figures thatâs probably fair, with how âElmerâ was a common name in 1885 but not so much in 2003.
Jack clears his throat so Elmer introduces him but forgets that this isnât their high school so things like oh this is Jack. Heâs basically my dad. are weird.
Cady definitely thinks itâs weird but she doesnât question it. Instead she just asks where Elmer is living, and it turns out, of course, he and Buttons are right next door to her and her roommate, Karen.
(I say Cady is living with Karen because Gretchen wanted to live with Regina and rules be damned Janis is with Damien.)
Elmer isnât completely sure heâs not going to get murdered in his sleep but he guesses if he could handle the 1899 Newsboy Strike and World War I he can handle Cady Heron.
Meanwhile Katherine is going to Harvard so Sarah is rooming with someone sheâs never met and sheâs a little nervous.
And in stomps a girl who declares Iâm a lesbian and if you have a problem with that tell me now so I can switch dorms.
And Sarah responds with my girlfriend out at Harvard would be pretty pissed at me if I did have a problem with that.
The girl lets her guard down, explains that she comes from a small town, and says her name is Alyssa Greene.
After that little bump, they get along good. Alyssa explains that her girlfriend, Emma, registered late and couldnât get a dorm with who she wanted.
And Sarahâs just kinda like wait Emma as in Unruly Hearts Emma? Alyssaâs just like yeah!! Iâm so proud of her!!
Sarah brags a bit about how Katherine is studying to be a journalist with a specialty in queer stories and long story short they become besties and eventually Alyssa introduces Emma for real and Sarah introduces Smalls and Sniper.
Emma and Alyssa are a bit thrown by the whole nickname thing but hey whatever now they have a Lesbian Club!
They do meet up with the boys occasionally but the Lesbian Club meets on a video call with Katherine every Saturday.
Anyway Jack meets Janis in art class and initially they kinda think each other is weird because their styles are very different but then they get in an actual conversation and get along amazingly.
Jack is definitely a fan of Janisâs philosophy of when someone hurts your friends you attack and grind your foe into the ground.
Janis tells her new bestie about Cady and Damien (and Regina, Gretchen, and Karen, though she still keeps Cady and Damien closer than the former Plastics) and sheâs honestly shocked by the amount of friends Jack tells her about.
She does recognize some names, though. Romeo and Damien are both theatre majors and theyâve become friends.
But anyway Jack and Janis are like. Super good friends. Art buddies. Mlm/wlw solidarity. Protective friend pals.
Janis is pretty surprised when she introduces him to Cady and theyâve already met, and apparently oh fuck your math nemesis is Jackâs Elmer???
Jackâs just going oh fuck Elmerâs math nemesis Cady is Janisâs Cady???
Also Regina met Spot and Sarah at the gym and now they meet up with a few other people every other week to throw down like their own personal fight club.
At first Regina was just angrily trying to fight with no technique, but donât worry, Spot and Sarah teach her.
There werenât a ton of out gays at Northshore High, so yeah the Mean Girls crew definitely gets along with the Newsies crew out of solidarity.
Janis and at least one of the Plastics but I canât choose which one(s) join the Lesbian Club.
Meanwhile Race is super hyped to meet Emma cause like I choreographed a dance to your song wanna see???
Emma is flattered but kinda weirded out and she mentions her friend Angie whoâs a dancer too and Race is just *error 404*
Cause of course he saw the news story and knows Emma knows these 4 big Broadway stars but it just. Hasnât connected until this moment that she like has their numbers.
He tries not to freak out too much cause he knows thatâs weird but Emma eventually goes do you wanna meet her? And Race goes do I wanna meet her? Sheâs only my IDOL!! sheâs been dancing like 20 years and sheâs still got it!!
Emma calls Angie partially because she likes her new dancer friend and wants to make him happy and partially because she wants to prove to Angie that people do appreciate her zazz and despite how she was just a chorus girl until a few months ago this random boy from New York has been a fan since he was 12.
Angie canât exactly fly over at the drop of a hat but she watches some videos on YouTube of Race dancing and like holy hell this kid is good. And his friends are too but this kid right here has zazz off the charts.
When she finds out heâs an orphan sheâs lowkey can I adopt him??? but then she finds out he already has an adoptive mother and itâs Medda Larkin.
Medda Larkin who did more than a few shows with Angie when they were young but left Broadway to open her own theatre.
They fell out of touch years ago but still follow each other on Instagram and stuff.
But Angie shows Barry and Dee Dee and sheâs super excited like remember Medda Larkin??? THIS IS HER ADOPTIVE KID AND HEâS AMAZING
And they watch YouTube clips of Emmaâs new friends in high school shows and like wtf these kids are fuckin talented why arenât they on Broadway???
They almost tell Emma to tell her friends to drop out of college and come straight (haha not that straight) to Broadway but Trent is like wtf no education is important.
Whatever the actors arenât that relevant.
Sarah has a nightmare about her death one night. And with the others itâs not as big of a deal because theyâre all rooming with each other, but Sarahâs roommate isnât one of them.
She thinks Alyssa is asleep so she calls Katherine crying about how scared she was, how guilty she felt to be leaving her brothers and friends and Kath without a goodbye.
And Alyssa isnât quite awake, but sheâs awake enough that she hears Sarah whisper about how everything is just so stupid complicated. I shouldnât be afraid of dying when Iâve done it beforeâwhen weâve all died horriblyâbut I still am, Kitty. I canât stop being afraid.
Alyssa is out of it enough that she falls back asleep, but when she wakes up she knows what she heard. That her roommate thinks she had a past life and died and implied that all her friends did.
Emma notices sheâs acting weird and when she asks whatâs wrong she tells her.
They both know it sounds crazy, but...
Emma tentatively points out some weird things about their friends from New York.
Sheâs study buddies with Race and occasionally he points something out she got wrong on her history homework. Something so small and inconsequential that it wouldâve been almost impossible for him to know unless he was there and remembered from experience.
Smalls and Sniper have a habit of jumping apart if they were so much as holding hands and someone walks in on them, even though they come from a mostly accepting city with an accepting friend group.
That whole group straight up skipped history class the whole week they were learning about World War I and refused to make up the work.
They bring the half-baked theory to Janis who immediately remembers all the times sheâs seen Jack draw small war-torn towns in France and dirty city streets and an outdated skyline as if seen from a rooftop, all of them too detailed to be anything but directly copied from something Jack has seen before.
But the question is if theyâre drawn from a reference photo or a memory.
Cady realizes, upon hearing the theory, that Elmer and Buttons never take her up on offers to come to football games because they donât like the noise.
More specifically, she remembers the look on her nemesis/frenemyâs face when he said he didnât like fireworks.
Aaron notices that Davey always solves math problems by hand. He never uses a calculator unless someone reminds him itâs an option. And half the time, he defaults to using his right hand with terrible handwriting even though heâs left handed. Almost like he was raised with the whole âleft hand devilâ thing, which doesnât make sense because he went to a public school; not a religious one.
Damien realizes that Romeo has a habit of correcting the costume department, like he knows the period clothing for Hello, Dolly! better than they do. It annoys the hell out of them because upon some research, he is always right.
Regina notes how Spot and Sarah fight like theyâre fighting for their lives in a street brawl. She knows that because she started taking karate in an attempt to win fights. She noticed months ago that her friends use technique thatâs barely sustainable, like theyâre just trying to stay alive until they can run or backup comes.
However all this is just fun and games, a crack theory theyâre all mildly creeped out by but donât really believe, until Gretchen finds it.
An article on the Newsboy Strike of 1899.
Thereâs a copy of the Newsies Banner, written by Katherine Plumber, which references strike leaders Jack Kelly and David Jacobs.
But they could write that off as just a creepy coincidence if not for the photo.
Itâs the one Katherine and Darcy took that first day, which is in black and white and not the greatest quality, but clearly shows a lot of familiar faces.
A later story by this Katherine Plumber documents lives of street kids with interviews from kids with the same odd nicknames as the group they know.
Regina was the most cynical about this theory and even she canât deny it now. Thereâs just too much evidence.
Especially when Karen finds Crutchieâs obituary, but Regina stops her from showing it to anyone else because thatâs just too creepy.
The Mean Girls crew and Alyssa and Emma are... unsure if they should confront their friends about this, because a) this is freaky and b) the newsie gang is clearly still harboring trauma due to their deaths.
Plus, as Damien points out, being gay was illegal in 1899. Do you think they want a reminder of how they had to hide their feelings for each other back then?
Emma and Alyssa share a knowing look because they know what thatâs like.
In the end Karen lets it slip when she asks Davey a question about her history homework involving World War II, mistakenly believing he was there.
Davey naturally questions her about it and she spills the entire story about how Alyssa heard Sarahâs phone call and they figured everything else out from there. She even shows him the article with the 1899 photo and the Newsies Banner.
And... shit, thereâs a lot of memories behind that picture. And thatâs them, over a hundred years ago, when they were kids and they werenât all the same age like this time around.
The old Davey looks so big compared to Romeo and Elmer and god was Specs tall for a 15-year-old.
Davey didnât even meet Smalls and Sniper in this lifetime until they were 16, but in that picture theyâre only 13 and theyâre so small.
A sidenote on Katherine has a picture of her in a hairstyle he hasnât seen her in since 1917.
Itâs a mixture between ptsd and nostalgia and Davey canât decide whether to freak out or be happy.
He takes the article to Jack and tells him about how Gretchen found it and their non-reincarnated friends know.
Jackâs silently cursing the fact that he really should have been more careful with what he drew around Janis, but itâs kinda a relief that they know, honestly.
He shoots a quick text to the group chat and then turns his phone on do not disturb mode while he sits Janis down for a little chat.
He doesnât go into graphic detail, but he does tell her an abridged version of everything. How they were basically a family and all lgbt+ in the early 20th century and how they died before their time and got a second chance.
Itâs more than a little freaky for Janis, but it does explain a lot.
Such as how Jack demonstrates on a dare that he can still do some parkour because once upon a time, he used it to run from the cops.
Elmer tells Cady heâs so quick at math because he used to have to calculate change quickly and later had to help Jack and Davey come up with battle plans based on numbers vs tactics and terrain.
Regina definitely trusts Spotâs combat advice a lot more now because he was essentially a gang leader as a teenager and it has literally saved his life.
Race admits to Emma that her song made him cry because... in this lifetime he might not have had to be closeted, but in his last he was constantly worried about getting arrested or worse if people found out not just about him and his boyfriend, but his friends. His family.
Emma may or may not collaborate with him after that to write a song about how much it hurts to be closeted for your own safety and how much better it feels to be free to be who you are. Race dances in the music video and many of the other newsies make appearances but itâs mainly him and Emma. Spot and Alyssa cry when they see it. Damien does, too.
Who am I kidding everyone cries.
They get like 4 million hits on YouTube and itâs amazing.
The title is probably In the Light or something.
Also Cady, Aaron, Kevin, and Elmer form their own college level mathletes team and no one can beat them.
(Kevinâs not as close with the main group literally only because I donât know that much about him as a character.)
(Also Stacy, Kailey, and whatever their boyfriendsâ names are might be there somewhere but I donât know them either.)
Katherine does get to meet the new kids in person eventually. And also I didnât mention this earlier but Specs goes to Harvard too and he comes to visit too.
The power when the Lesbian Club finally gets to meet all in person? Unparalleled.
Fandom: Wrong Turn 4 Relationship: Sawtooth, One Eye, Three Finger Request: I havenât done this before but I was wondering if you could right a one shot for the hilliker brothers from wrong turn. I would like it to take place during wrong turn 4 but if thatâs not something you can/want to do then you can choose. Iâm not picky. I really love your blog btw and youâre such a talented writer and I just canât wait for what you have planned next. I wish you the best of luck!
A/n: I wasnât sure if you meant it to take place during the actual movie. Then I started thinking about having the reader around during the plot and my mind ran away with the idea. I took some creative liberties with the plot. Hope you donât mind đ also, if this isnât what you were after, just let me know. Im always happy to revisit these guys haha.
  You were fuming. Absolutely livid as you paced back and forth by the doors, your arms crossed across your chest as you waited for them to get back. It was bad enough they had left while you were mid argument but then to be this late back? It was dark out, and they knew you hated the dark in the hospital. Part of you wondered if they were doing it to teach you something. That you couldnât be there without them. You shook off the thought as best you could. But it still lingered. None of you would make it in the outside world, and you could easily survive without them. You could hunt and defend yourself, plus you didnât have the⊠physical differences which would make it easier for you to blend into normality. Not that you ever wanted to. And you were sure they would survive if you walked away. But you all stayed together because you loved them dearly, and they loved you. They never said so, they couldnât speak properly, but they showed it. And on the rare occasions you fought with the brothers, they were the first to apologies. Today, Sawtooth, One Eye and Three Finger had been unhappy with you because you had went out after someone on your own. You hadnât been hurt, but you knew that if he had been the slightest bit brighter or stronger, he could have given you a run for your money. But instead of congratulating you for a good kill, Sawtooth got protective, as did the brothers.Â
âI can protect myself. I donât need you hovering over me all the time!â You ended up shouting at them, out of pure annoyance. Sawtooth raised an eyebrow before straightening up and walking out, his brothers in tow. They glanced back at you, but they agreed with Sawtooth and that meant they would follow him. They had all left in the truck 7 hours ago, driving off into the snow. You knew they had been planning on setting up wire around the grounds so if someone was running, they would get caught, so it wasnât like they had just stormed off. There had been a job to do. But then the hours rolled on and the sun began to set and you felt the fear set in. the building was old, and creaked under the awful weather that only seemed to get worse. To make everything just that little more worse, the powerlines were down and while you could start the generator yourself, you hated going down into the basement to do it. One Eye always did it. Just as you were about to go up and try go to sleep, you heard the sound of engines. Not car ones, but more like motorbikes. Frowning, you looked out one of the top windows and your heart dropped. 4 snowmobiles pulled up outside the hospital. Each had 2 people riding on them. Shit shit shit. One, two or maybe three people you could deal with, but this many? No, you couldnât cope. You felt panic begin to set in as you tried to think of what to do. The brothers were gone and you had no idea when theyâd get back. They had taken their truck and, if they were stuck out in the snow, they were more than happy to bunker down wherever. The best thing you could think to do was keep a close eye on the new comers. Find out whos connected to who, whos weakest, easier to scare, smartest etc. It was all you could. You quietly ran through the hospital, a skill you learned from your many chases with Three Finger. The sounds echoed off the long, deserted halls as you tried to pinpoint where they were, not wanting to run right into them. As the echoes died down, it told you they had entered a room with furnishings. Your knowledge of the building told you it was the lounge area, which the large fire place, some old couches and wheelchairs. You would sit in the large windows in the summer, the warm sun providing a lovely warmth while you read. But in the winter, the room got an awful draft so you and the boys basically abandoned it. You abandoned most the rooms during winter. The main ones that kept being used were the kitchen, the âbedroomâ in the attic and a couple of the rooms on the upper floor. Heat rises, after all. As you approached the room, you knew you were right. Slipping into a little janitors closet that had a chip lock so you could lock it from the inside, you knew there was a vent that lead directly between the two. No, you wouldnât risk crawling inside, but it did allow you to listen. The closet itself was bigger than a standard closet, and mainly empty apart from a bucket, 3 tiered unit that came up to your hips and unit with shelves built into it which was about 5 foot tall and right next to the vent. So you jumped up on the first unit then sat on the second, now able to touch the roof if you reached up just above your head. You heard a girl asking for someone to find stuff to burn. There were footsteps leaving the room before they started talking about someone called Porter. You wondered if the guy you had killed earlier was called Porter, but then you remembered he had had ID that named him David Smith. there was some more talk about phone service, then the others came back and, from the sounds of it, they light a fire. You almost bash your head back on the wall out of boredom. For people who talk so much, they talk about the most dull shit in the world. then they spoke about looking around. Despite wanting to stay in your den, you followed the bigger group as they explored, keeping as close as you could. They went through the files, and you felt a rage build in your chest as they mocked the people who used to be trapped up in here. Just like the guards had. The guards didnât have so much to say when there wasnât bars separating them from the people they taunted. You happened to glance out the window when you saw three figures approaching the building. Sawtooth, One Eye and Three Finger. They were focused on what ever they were dragging back, so hadnât seen the snowmobiles out front. You wondered where the truck was, but then realized it must have gotten stuck somewhere due to the storm. You paused for a moment, frowning. They had trekked back through the storm on foot? They could have bunkered down in the truck for the night, so why fight against the storm? You were happy they were home, but you still felt a rush of anger at the situation. You needed to see them, so you quickly and silently made your way to them. Your pondering meant they had already been through the halls and to the kitchen. When you ran in the room, you noticed how One Eye flinched when he walked in and saw you storming towards them. Three Finger refused to meet your eyes as they filed into the room. But Sawtooth wasnât with them. âWhere have you been?!â You hiss, your voice breaking. Three Finger held up some barbed wire then tossed it to the side when he saw you were still just as angry. Just then, a large figure entered the room, dragging something behind. Something about Sawtooths presence made you feel uneasy. Mainly because you two were still angry at each other. But before anything could be said, he threw the body on the floor between you and the brothers. If this were any other time, youâd have smiled, making a joke about it being a sacrifice to please you. But something niggled at the back of your head. approaching the body, you fell to your knees beside it and started rummaging through the pockets. Until you found a wallet. Opening it up, you found a driving licence. With the name Porter. âWell, thatâs one less loose end.â You threw the wallet down. You huffed, about to cuss when suddenly, all the lights flickered on and the sound of loud laugher and cheering echoed through the corridors. Immediately, you saw the three of them go ridged. You rose to your feet, not looking the brothers in the eyes. Turning on your heel, you left the room but they followed. Dragging behind you, you all went towards the noise, slipping into an observatory room with two way glass, you crossed your arms and glared at the group as the brothers looked through the glass. You were now not only angry at the brothers, but at the people as well. They had been the doctors office, had seen some of the files there, they KNEW of the suffering people had endured in these halls and they were dancing around like fucking morons. You saw Three Finger flinch, backing away from the glass a little as they realized why you were so on edge. Why you were now so angry. One Eye looked at you, the guilt obvious in his eyes as he reached out, prepared to comfort you. But you backed away from him, refusing to look at them as you shook your head. Fresh tears pooled in your eyes. They hadnât been here when you really needed them because they were mad at you. And although they didnât know of the people coming, you couldnât just ignore the ache in your chest. You walked through the brothers, who parted to let you through until Sawtooth grabbed your arm. You jumped, not expecting it as you looked up at him. In all honestly, you didnât know what he wanted. Perhaps it was instinct and he didnât want you to leave upset. Or perhaps it was because he didnât want you wondering off when there was a new threat within the building. But you wanted to prove a point, so you yanked your arm back but just as you were about to leave the room, the group of people started using the old wheelchairs as toys and rolled around like morons before making their way to the auditorium. you creeped behind them, with the boys behind you. Â you were about to creep to the door when One Eye caught your hand. As with his brother, you were about to yank away when he nodded to the stairs which lead to the upper floor. As if to show you, he pulled you up the stairs and towards the balcony where the group now sat speaking below. One Eye waited by your side, eager for praise from you, but you were too distracted as they managed to play something that made your insides twist painfully. It was the recording of One Eye during an electrotherapy session. You watched as he wrestled against the restrains then his whole body writhed in pain. âsessionâ actually meant âpunishmentâ. And One Eye normally ended up in these âsessionsâ because of you. If he thought the guards were too rough or cruel to you, he would act out. He had attacked god knows how many people because of how they treated you. And he would be punished every time. You remembered crying against the bars as they threw his limp body into the cell with his brothers. Turning, you saw One Eye had noticed the film playing. He had shrank into himself, his gaze on the floor and you noticed his hands were shaking slightly. Stepping closer, you ducked your head under his own and pressed your lips against his in a few chase kisses before nuzzling your cheek against his own as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He responded to your affections, his arms snaking around your waist as he buried his face in your neck. He held you so tight that it hurt, but you didnât care. You saw something move out the corner of your eyes, your head snapping to see Three Finger and Sawtooth. Three Finger snarled when he noticed the film, obviously defensive of his brother. Sawtoothâs fists clenched by his sides, his face stoic. One Eye pulled back when he noticed his brothers, but didnât dare let go of you. âWeâre in this together, right?â You looked to Sawtooth, who nodded in agreement. âOkay, then this is just like any other prey.â All three nodded in agreement.
 The group of intruders had settle down in the old rooms used for those who could be kept in normal rooms, rather than cells. The brothers were now hard at work, making sure everything was in place for tomorrow. Which included setting up the normal kind of traps. You were about to go back up into your bedroom when you noticed one of the men had went wondering. Right to where Sawtooth had set up the body of Porter. Running, you grabbed Sawtooth by the sleeve and pulled him towards the nurses station.  Apparently, you didnât need to say a word as he understood. The man started to try square up to the body, threatening him until he seemed to recognise the clothes. You and Sawtooth waited in the shadows until the man touched the body and saw the blood. He turned, but Sawtooth was quick and blocked his path. Using a long metal spike, he jammed it up, through the mans nose and out the other side of the head, killing him. You went to help with the body but Sawtooth pushed you back with a grunt. He gestured towards the kitchen, where the other brothers were preparing some weapons. You tried to follow him again but he dropped the body and stood at his full height, a deep growl leaving his chest. You knew better than to push him further, so you backed off.  He dragged the body towards a half open door, using his foot to kick it further open and you watched before disappearing to find the others.  There was a silence between you both, still some kind of argument going on. You found the others in the back office of the kitchen. The chiefs office, which had a couch that you on, pondering everything thatâs happened.
---------------time skip --------------
You donât know when you passed out, sitting on the floor while One Eye and Three Finger worked on some weapons. When you woke the next morning, Three Finger had moved to sit in front of you and you had a blanket over you. He didnât appear to be doing anything. Just guarding you as you slept. Reaching out, you ran your finger across his shoulder to let him know you were awake. He turned with a smile, instantly kneeling up beside you and nuzzling into your neck. You couldnât help but giggle at the affection. One Eye came into the room, chucking something on top of a pre-existing pile crap that you recognised as some of the things the group had left in the lounge. You noticed some cables, spark plug wires from the snowmobiles. He beamed when he noticed you were awake. The morning did feel a lot better, and you were actually excited for the thrill of the chase now. Â âWheres Sawtooth?â You asked, sitting up as Three Finger leaned back. He gestured vaguely towards the door, but you understood. Keeping an eye on the others. As if summoned by your words, Sawtooth walked past the room with a body flung over his shoulders. Three Finger got to his feet and left after him, gurgling to himself. One Eye came and sat by your feet as, fiddling with his fingers in an awkward and shy way. You smiled and crawled to his side, cuddling into him. A sigh of relief left his throat as he pulled you close, apparently afraid you might wake up still annoyed. Three Finger ran back into the room, followed by Sawtooth, now holding a small bundle. A soft grunt told you all that it was time. They were exploring and about to find some unsavoury things. Just as you were about to stay, a grunt drew your attention and the thing Sawtooth was holding was tossed at you. It was wrapped in Porters jacket and you could feel it was the head of someone. Porter or the man who found him, you didnât know yet. But you felt a swell of pride. Whatever Sawtooth had planned, you were apparently getting a role to play. Disappearing out, you all follow quickly and you started to hear running. The group was split up and agitated. Sawtooth lead you to the auditorium, signalling for his brothers to go up stairs and you to hide behind the black curtains that hid the sides of the stage while the screen was down before he followed his brothers. You managed to hide just in time as they started to funnel in. From what you could gather, they knew one guy was missing, they had seen the blood, they knew you were around somewhere and they needed to get out. Just then, one girl ran in screaming âTheyre gonna kill us all.â The drama queen inside you told you now was the perfect time. You threw the jacket covered object out onto the floor in front of them. âThat looks like Porters jacket.â One said. âThat is Porters jacket.â The other replied. You peaked around the corner, seeing the black haired girl was approaching it with fear. As she unwrapped the package, you noticed the metal, barbed wire noose that was lowering down from the balcony, a blonde haired girl backing closer to it. Looking up, you saw the brothers had made a pully system. Screams of terror filled the room and during the hysteria, the brothers managed to loop the metal around the girls neck and haul her up. The guy she was with tried to stop her, to help her, but he only made it worse. He grabbed her feet and pulled her down, allowing the metal to saw through her neck with ease at the tension. The rest of the group simply screamed, tried to get out the side doors which were locked. The man lost his grip and slipped back into the puddle of blood, screaming just before she was fully decapitated, her body falling either side of him as the group ran for the main exit. He screamed again before tried to get up but slipped on to the blood again and again before running for the exit after his friends. That was entertaining. Â Once clear, you left your hiding spot just as the boys came down. You walked to the edge of the stage, in no real hurry as Sawtooth came up. He came up and gently lifted you down, making you giggle and press a kiss to his cheek. You didnât want this feud to drive a wedge between you both. But you had no idea if he accepted your little âtruceâ. The four of you went back to the kitchen. The group couldnât go anywhere anyway. They would either freeze to death outside, or come back in and barricade themselves in one of the offices near the front door. You ended up sitting on the counter while Three Finger carved up the headless body. There was a new sense of peace in the group and you felt whatever tension between you and Sawtooth had mostly disappeared. The boys squabbled as always as Sawtooth tried to take a little more than a snack and Three Finger wasnât having it. If there was something Three Finger prided himself on, it was being able to strip flesh from bone in a clean way, and it didnât look clean if Sawtooth kept picking at it. You smiled, but never ate anything raw. You didnât like it, but the brothers did. Suddenly, you heard running, heading for the lower levels. But you saw Three Finger had heard it too. He threw his cleaver into the meat and ran to follow, scooping up an axe on the way. You considered going with him, till One Eye appeared and took the moment to step in front of where you were sitting and kiss you. But he too left, heading towards where the group must have bunkered down. Probably to torment them a little more. Sawtooth walked in as you had just jumped down, feeling a little lonely. He walked up to the body, about to take another piece but you slapped him hand away with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. He knew you were playing, and simply picked you up and moved you away to grab a bite. You huffed indignantly but he carried you into the chiefs office and sat you down with a strict âstayâ gesture before he disappeared too. -------------------
You didnât hear anything again from the boys until screaming filled the kitchen. You felt a surge of dread while disappeared when you looked out and saw they were tying down one of the guys to the table. You felt a shiver run through your spin because you knew what they were going to do. You didnât like when they stripped flesh off of someone whos alive. You didnât like the way they screamed during it, but you help nevertheless. You didnât let anyone cut the potatoes or onion because you were convinced they would chop off their fingers one day. Three Finger heated up the oil and you brought the cutting board with veg over to the group. Placing it down, you felt One Eye grab your hand, silently asking you to stay, but you shook your head, kissing his cheek to show you didnât have any issues with them though. You disappeared into the chiefs office, content with reading through the recipe books. You sat for a while, flipping through the books while the screams slowly died down. When they finally seemed to stop, you ventured out, smiling as you entered the kitchen with the boys. One Eye went to smile back at you, but apparently was in the middle of biting down and started to choke. You didnât noticed straight away as you cleared away a couple of things but then you noticed Three Finger and Sawtooth hitting his back. You were about to panic, when one of Three Fingers knocks made him cough up the chunk and it flew across the table into the oil. Three Finger and One Eye started to cackle just as you were about to laugh when suddenly, someone smashed something red across the back of Sawtooths head. The man then went for one Eye but Sawtooth pushed him passed the table as Three Finger managed to back the man off a bit. Until screaming filled the room. It all happened so quickly. The group ran into the room, screaming and brandishing weapons. In all truth, you didnât originally move. It was Sawtooth who grabbed you and pushed you to move and run. You didnât get a chance to think as you raced through the hallway only to have one way blocked off with fire. Down into the cells you were all chased before, somehow, you ended falling into a cell at the dead end. not just any cell, though. The Hillikers original cell. The group slammed the door shut, locking you in. Sawtooth stood with his arms held out in front of his brothers, Three Finger to his left and One Eye to hid right. You were positioned directly behind the three of them. âLets kill them.â Someone walked up the corridor, the girl who had caused the fire. âyeah, Jenna, lets do it.â The shorter girl with black hair agreed. âwait, wait. We cant just kill them.â The taller girl shook her head, looking confused. âWhy the fuck not?â The man snapped. âThey killed our friends and theyre gonna kill us then fucking eat us.â âYeah weâre not them.â The tall black haired girl gestured towards the cell. âFuck that!â The man turned to the cell, shining the torch in. âlook at me. Look. At. Me. Fuck you, you mother fuckers. Im gonna cut your heart out, you mother fuckers. You understand that?â âI didnât know there was a girl.â The girl with the curly black hair spoke, eyeing you up just before Three Finger stepped in front of you, snapping his jaws at them. âShes fucking them.â The guy suddenly realised, his eyes darting to the brothers who instantly became more protective of you. âWhat, is she your sister? Freaks!â âNo, she doesnât look like them.â Another said. âI saw her file. Well, Daniel showed me. She was just dump here by her parents. They, they bonded or something. I dunno. But the file said never leave them all together.â âWe arenât opening that cell again, Sara!â The girl who was with âSaraâ shook her head, backing away from the cell. âNo, youre right, Bridget.â The man gritted his teeth, turning to the girl with the yellow top. âGo get the other kerosene lantern. Weâre gonna roast these fuckers alive.â You felt a new wave of fear run through your veins as the girl took off running. The girl who had spoke out against the idea looked deeply troubled as the man, who was still covered in his girlfriends blood, glared into the cell. One Eye glanced to you, and you could see he was worried. You all were. When she came back, the man started to dump the oil from the lantern through the cell door and onto the floor. All three backed away and you ended up pressed against the furthest wall, Three finger stepping closest to you. he finished and then pulled out a lighter. âTime for a barbecue, fuckers.â He growled at you all. You noticed Sara closed her eyes, seeming as if she was against this idea as well. âKyle. Donât do this.â The girl, whos name you think is Kenia, says. âThey deserve it.â Kyle turns to the group, apparently sensing that it wasnât a universal agreement. âYeah they do, but you donât.â She steps closer. âDonât do this to yourself. Give me that lighter. Give me the lighter.â After a tense moment, one which you were sure he would throw the lighter down and set the floor on fire, he flicked it close and shoved the lighter back in his pocket. âWell, what are we gonna do now?â Bridget threw her hands up in the air in annoyance. âWe find the spark plug wires, and we leave in the morning. Storm or no storm.â Kenia said before turning to the cell and talking to the four of you. âWhere are the spark plug wires?â The wires. Theyre in the chiefs office. You had closed over the door, but would they think to look int here? You didnât know. No one answered her, One Eye flitting to the other side of the cell. âBasards cant even talk.â Kyle rolls his eyes. âFine, then we search. Room by room.â Kenia thinks quickly. âOkay but somebody has to watch them.â Jenna nods to you. âI will.â Kyle volunteers and you instantly raise an eye brow. It appeared from Kenias expression, she had the same thoughts as yours because he turned to her. âI wont touch a fucking hair on their head. Okay?â âOkay.â âJust go look for the wires. Send someone back in a couple of hours to relieve me. Weâll take shifts throughout the night.â He rattles off his plan, and apparently everyone silently agrees as thye file out of the room, leaving him. âHey, you?â Kyle spoke directly to One Eye who was circling back to you, but was curious and paused. âAre you hungry?â You felt sick, knowing this was going to be some sick joke. But One Eye was the most trusting of the three brothers as the man offered him something from a packet. Before you could stop him, One Eye went to the bars but the man hit his hand.
âFuck you, motherfuckers. You thought I was actually gonna feed you?â Three finger let out a cackle as One Eye back away to you. You instantly looked at his hand, making sure of no damage. Sawtooth growled lowly. âYou know im actually gonna kill all four of you, donât you? I will. Im gonna say I forgot something, then im gonna come back and im gonna kill each and every one of you freaks.â âPiss off.â You hissed, looking up at him. âYou- you speak.â He shines the touch at you, so you smirk at him. âRight, you speak. Motherfucker. So, whyâd you do it? Huh?â âYou were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.â You walk up to the bars, placing your forehead against the cool metal. âWheres the sparkplug wires?â He raised the flashlight and shone it into your face. You smiled, and with a half-hearted shrug of the shoulders, you retreated from the cell door. âJust sleep tight.â Kyle snaps at you through the bars. All three of the brothers quickly moved in front of you, making you smile softly at them. You felt dread building in your chest as you struggled to think of something. You walked into the corner off the cell, struggling to breath as you felt the walls closing in on you. You needed to hide the panic you felt from the group. But you hadnât been down this area since the breakout, and for good reason. Closing your eyes, you tried to calm yourself so you could think straight. Someone rubbed your arms reassuringly and you opened your eyes to see Three Finger standing in front of you. You immediately stepped close to him, resting your forehead on his shoulder as you sought intimacy. He offered you it, almost purring when you cuddle into him and his arms wrapped around you. For a while, he stood with you, calming you down. In truth, Three Finger was the best when you were like this. One Eye would get too worked up and start to panic while Sawtooth was the complete opposite and offered you no sympathy for fear of showing weakness. But Three Finger knew to keep you close and even nuzzled against you. You felt the panic in your chest start to ease, and you were able to think straight. Looking up, you smiled gratefully, but despite his own dorky smile back, you could see he was concerned, and probably scared. Pulling back, you were also grateful that he had manged to position himself to stand directly between you and the bars. He blocked your view of the guy who was now guarding you all, so you glanced past him as saw the man had passed out on the floor. If you could only get out. Looking back to Three Finger, you could see the worry in his eyes, and both One Eye and Sawtooth watched on in concern. In a few hours, you would be burned to death, and they were more worried about you having a stupid panic attack. They had always cared for you more than themselves, even back in the old days, before you all escaped. An idea shot into your mind like lightening. the pin! Suddenly, you grabbed Three Finger and yanked him over to the basin. after they had escaped and freed you, you had found the pin on the ground and decided that it needed to stay down in their old cell, just in case the orderlies managed to get everyone back under control. So you had hidden it. Getting down on your hands and knees, you reached under the pipes, your hands just fitting as you felt the cold metal of the pin. Pulling it out, you turned back and offered the pin to Three Finger. You saw his eyes light up at the sight of it, the very tool which had offered you your freedom all those years ago. his eyes trailed up to you, and he grinned wickedly. You felt your stomach backflip as you smiled, your fears long forgotten as he taken the pin from your hands. Sawtooth and One Eye hadnât seen the exchange, or what you had given Three Finger, so they watched as Three Finger crept to the bars of the cell. You followed but One Eye reached an arm across you. They wanted to keep you to the back to protect you. taking his hand, you watched anxiously as Three Finger reached through the bars and started to pick the lock. Every little creak made your heart skip a beat as you waited for the man to wake up. But then you heard a ping, and held your breath as Three Finger started to slowly pull the cell door open again. Sawtooth was first out, taking long purposely strides to the sleeping man. He grabbed him by the throat, pushing him against the wall as he dragged him up to eye height. The fear in the mans eyes was undeniable as he realised how badly he had fucked up. Sawtooth raised his fist and with one sharp jab, the man was knocked out. Three Finger cackled menacingly as Sawtooth picked him back and threw him over his shoulder, leading the way out. You all followed, knowing there was no point hanging around here in case they did find the plug and came back to get their friend. Up, through the corridors you went till you came to the kitchen. Three Finger quickly checked around while you made sure the spark plugs were still where one eye had left them. They were. That was lucky. You came out and saw the had laid the guy on one of the tables, about to kill him. âWait.â You grabbed Three Fingers hand, stopping him from killing the man. âCut his tongue out.â The boys looked at you, utterly perplexed. You were normally the more docile of the four, wanting someone to have a quick death rather than long and drawn out. âCut out his tongue and swap your clothes with him.â You looked pointed at Three Finger as you took the knife and made quick work of the last two fingers on the mans hand. Three Finger, not wanting to upset you again, followed your instructions, swapping his clothes as One Eye cut out the mans tongue. you grabbed a bag and cut eye holes in it before pulled it over his head, tying it there just as Three Finger strapped his gloves on the man. Once he was ready, you got them to help you get the man up to the floor with the girls. Leaning him against the wall, you shook him until you felt him start to move of his own accord. Giving him a rough shove in the direction of the room the girls were held up in, you let him stagger to his feet and he quickly began to stumble away, dazed, confused and in pain. the brothers went to go after him but you held out a hand, stopping them. You watched the man turn right at the end of the hall way. You kept your arm up, and they didnât cross you. You didnât need to wait long. You heard the girl battle cryâs as he hobble just into sight before he was bought to the ground by the girls. They had mistaken their friend for Three Finger and now, they were screaming as they stabbed him mercilessly in the back. Poor bastard. you felt Sawtooth push against you, asking to go after them, but you refused. They needed to know what they had done. You needed to break them. Three Finger let out a shrill cackle and their attention snapped up to you. With a smirk, you dropped your arm, and the three brothers stepped forward. The girls scrambled to their feet and fled back to their safe place. You expected the boys to go after them, but Sawtooth stopped, looking back to you. You felt a wave of excitement, knowing what this meant. You were coming along. racing to his side, you beamed at him. You expected him to continue and lead his brothers as he always did, but instead he surprised you. Ducking down, he kissed you. You were taken aback. Sawtooth didnât kiss. he let you kiss him, but it didnât seem to mean as much as it did to the others. A kiss was a form of affection he wasnât fond of, mainly because he could easily tear up your lips if he wasnât carful. He learned that when you were both young and exploring each other. And yet, he kissed you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, locking him in place as you quickly returned the kiss hungrily. Strong arms lifted you up off the ground as if you were as light as a doll. You felt him wrap and arm around your lower back and the other about mid-thigh, holding you tight against his body. Sniggering brought you both out of the moment as his brothers fought to keep their laughter back. Not out of cruelty, but they enjoyed that despite the stone faced brothers approached, he was as much under your spell as they were. He was as much yours as you were his. Giggling, you jumped up slightly to press a kiss to his cheek while the other two headed down the corridor. Something caught his eye in the next room. Before you could ask, Sawtooth went inside and came out with an ice drill. Three Finger cackled, jumping up and down at the new toy. You smirked at Sawtooth, knowing full well that at least one of the girls will meet a painful end at the hands of such a weapon. You stepped aside, bowing comically as you let Sawtooth walk past you and his brothers to lead the next attack. Rounding a corner, Sawtooth heard the running footsteps and the ice drill roared to life, followed by screaming as the girls skidded to run in the opposite direction. they ran for the front door, which had been chained shut during the day. More shrieks as they realised and had to double back on themselves. Suddenly, Sawtooth stopped. He turned to you, giving a single nod towards where the girls were. You understood. Follow them. Darting in front, you ran with silent feet and sensitive hearing. They were heading upstairs, to the attic. You followed them as they ended up stumbling into the room the guys slept in. Your bedroom was in a hidden door off to the side which was locked. And you were thankful. You didnât want them rummaging through your stuff. The girls found some of the older clothes, pulling them on to keep warm if/when they got outside. This changed the game again. Because now you couldnât rely on them freezing to death in the current climate. You had to get them before they left the grounds. You kept to the shadows as the girls ran back out the room, through the attic and back down the stairs, towards the east wing. You didnât follow them the whole way, instead following the drill sound to find the guys. âThey went upstairs and found jackets. Theyâre prepared for going outside.â You ran up, tell the brothers the new information. Sawtooth huffed as you noticed they had pulled on some of their own thick jackets. The ones they had been wearing the night before, so had probably left somewhere in the kitchen area when they came back. One Eye held out your own, which you had kept by the back entrance. Grinning, you kissed his cheek before pulling it on and guided them towards the west wing. One Eye ran ahead to open a door with his shoulder, but it didnât budge. He rattled the release handle a few times with little avail. âTheyâve blocked it.â You mumble, running forward and looking through the window. You couldnât see anything in the way of the door, so you looked through the small crack between the two door. You saw a thick object connecting the doors. âTheyâve jammed something through the handle.â You call over your shoulder to the others. Suddenly, you heard running and just manage to jump out the way as Three Fingerâs body collides with the door, falling to the ground. You press your lips together in a harsh line to stop yourself from laughing as you and One Eye look at each other. His amusement did nothing to help your attempts, so you had to raise your hands over your mouth before hearing grunting from Sawtooth. This wasnât the time for jokes, even if his eyes did betray that he found it rather comical as well. One Eye tried the same body slam, but managed to catch himself without falling. Nothing seemed to budge the door. There was little point in you trying, so you stood to the side as some kind of strange cheerleader. That was, until, Sawtooth walked up to the door. He looked through the window, before walking back and passing the drill to One Eye. He gave himself much more of a run up to the door, and as his mass collided with the door, your noticed it gave a lot more that the previous attempts. And there was a cracking sound. âIts working.â You run up, pushing on the door and seeing it was now moving if only by an inch or so. You stepped back, looking to Sawtooth as he lined himself up again. A second, and third time but it was the fourth that he broke through the door. Three Finger let out a triumphant cackle as the brothers raced through the door, followed by you. Sawtooth took the drill back as they looked in each room, only to find one girl half was out through a burrow in the snow. She ended up crawling back, wiping snow off her face. She didnât even notice Sawtooth coming up behind her. She didnât know until the drill was protruding through her stomach as he mangled her insides. The blood sprayed out, only for you to notice one of the girls had climbed back down to try help her. She was pulled back up in a heartbeat before anything could be done. The drill was turned off and the body fell to the floor, lifeless. The brothers, their eyes fixed on the hole, knew where the girls had gone. Three Finger nudged Sawtooth, making a fist with his right hand and mimicking the revving of a motorbike. Sawtooth smirked and nodded as he left the room, you all in tow. âIll go get the spark plug wires.â You call out, running past the others, knowing it was quicker you going to get them. You ran and grabbed the sparkplug wires before meeting the boys at the door. They now had more weapons, each holding one. Following them outside to the snowmobiles, you handed each of them a plug for each machine except one. You didnât know how to even begin to wire one up or even drive one. They boys seemed to have a knack at this kind of stuff. âOnce this is over, you have to show me how to drive one of these.â You nod to the dormant snowmobile, looking to Sawtooth, who paused for a moment before giving a single nod. Smiling widely, you watched three Finger as he worked. They wired up the machines before revving them to life. Stepping back, you were reluctant to go back inside when you heard Three Finger cackle. You looked at him and he nodded his head to the back of his. you paused, your heart skipping a beat as you prayed you understood him. Glancing to Sawtooth, he gave a single nod and revved the engine, an indicator to hurry up. Smiling, you ran over and swung your leg over the back of Three Fingers snowmobile, locking your arms around his torso. He glanced back at you, making sure you were ready before the other speed off. You cuddled into his back, grinning as the adrenaline from the ride set in. you loved how fast these things could go. They would be a great addition for the days of boredom. Sawtooth followed the girls tracks in the snow, and it didnât take long to catch up. They circled the girls, getting them worked up. They screamed and cried out, but then Sawtooth signalled for the other to back off. Retreating back, you stood up on the back of the snowmobile to watch what would happen with the shadows in the distance. They couldnât see you guys, but because they were in the open, you could just make out them. âTheyre splitting up.â You call out, knowing it was best to attack now. Going in for another attack, Three Finger managed to swing and injure one of the girls while Sawtooth grabbed another. You looked up, seeing the girl was struggling too much and started jabbing something into Sawtooths arm. He dropped her, but neglected to notice the incoming low branch. It knocked him right off his snowmobile. One Eye was right behind him, capturing the girl. You and Three Finger went to check on Sawtooth, who stumbled up with a grumble. He fobbed off your calls of concern, rubbing his head before trekking to get his snowmobile. You knew better than to try fuss over him like this. He would just push you away anyways. You would make sure to check him over once his ego isnât as bruised. Hearing screaming, you look up and see One Eye had got the girl. Getting off Three fingers, you raced over to see what One Eye was doing. Three Finger sped off, in search of another victim. You saw the blood coming out the end of the bike as he looked up at you, waiting for something. âWell done. Thatâs really inventive.â You smile as the girls scream become weaker then stop entirely when the snowmobile dropped. One Eye beams at you before looking away shyly. Walking through the snow, you reach up and guide his face towards your own before kissing him, deeply. He melt against your kiss, whining slightly as he reached up, cupping your cheek. You were interrupted when you heard a female voice crying out. Heads snapping to the side, you saw one girl running through the snow. One Eye cut a rope on the back before scooped you up and put you on the back of his snowmobile, revving it and racing away. You wrapped your arms around his torso, holding on tightly.
 ------------time skip -------------
 You awoke, well rested and refreshed. Trudging through the hallways, you couldnât help but feel happy and content. Three Finger appeared, grinning as he grabbed your hand and started to drag you to the front door, where you saw the truck was now out front. Along with a sulking One Eye. Frowning, you notice the bruising starting to appear on his left eye. Racing out the front door, without a jacket, you were in front of him before he knew it, cupping his cheek and looking at the injury. One Eye smiled, ducking his head a little out of embarrassment. He must have gotten hurt chasing the girls when you and Three Finger had come home last night, after you had rode for a bit with Sawtooth of course. Speaking of which, Sawtooth grunted, signalling to the truck as he climbed on the back with the crane part. One Eye stole a quick kiss before you all headed to the truck.  You took pride of place in the front beside Three Finger, which was already nice and warm. You didnât know where you were driving to, but Three Finger apparently did as, after about 10 minutes, he pulled up beside a bank of snow. Looking out, you saw two bodies, decapitated. They hadnât got away. Stepping out the truck, you climbed up on the rear wheel to see the brothers in the back of the truck while Three Finger retrieved the heads of the bodies. They didnât even see the two snowballs you had in your hand until Three Finger had thrown the heads and bodies in the back and got back into the cab. You took the opportunity to hurl the snow at both One Eye and Sawtooth before diving back into the cab and locked the doors. Three Finger cackled as Sawtooth banged on the rear window. You smiled innocently at him, but you felt the sudden dread that you would soon have to get out the cab. âI donât think Iâll be getting those lessons today.â You giggled as you glanced out the rear window. Three Finger cackled before driving away. You slipped closer to him, cuddling into his side as he drove.
Yâall i almost forgot about this story of mine Iâm also working on my another forgotten story of you being yamaguchiâs twin sister and having a cat and dog relationship with tsukishima. I also planning on making the âi wanna marry someoneâ as a text, but i guess itâll take a while.
Masterlist
Oikawa puffed his cheeks as he placed down his phone, doesnât mean he has a lot of fans he canât treat a girl right.
âI can treat a girl right, heck Iâm gonna make her my queen, serve her and stuffâ
He mumbles to himself. Maki and mattsun already saw oikawaâs distress face and litterally had a plan on teasing him as they look at eachother gosh talk about soulmate .
Oikawa didânt brother to reply anymore heâs pretty sure that aj would just tease him. He looked outside the window and suddenly the thing that aj just mentioned to them suddenly pops up in his head.
âFlowers huhâ
If thatâs true, what flower do me and my soulmate share?
âDo you literally need me?, just like you said you were born here so Iâm pretty sure u basically KNOW the placeâ
Itâs been a good half an hour since your cousin been ranting on picking you up from the station. You just rolled your eyes and pinched his sides.
âOW WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!â
âshut up weâre on the bus dumbass, and besides just so you know i was gone for years duhâ
âYouâre talking like youâve been gone for enternity, literally nothing changed here since you left except some fee small shops closed and new ones started to open thatâs itâ
âSo thereâs still some changes kenjiâ
âOh shut up you know what Iâm talking aboutâ
You just looked out the window, didnât have any energy to argue with more like you donât wanna argue with him since youâre both in the bus you canât just freely shout at him like you two always do.
âSejoh is still big as ever huhâ
âYeah so?â
âIâm not talking to you dimwit i was talking to myselfâ
âGirlâtskâ
The bus was now in the busy streets of miyagi, alot of students are now going home,some went to a family restaurant,some just sitting on the benches having good talks. You remember when you did that with your friends here in miyagi too, you can also see some exhausted adults going home from work.
âThis place hasnât changed at allâ
ïżœïżœïżœI told you soâ
âYeah yeah i know genius you donâtââ
Suddenly out of nowhere, for a split second you swore your vision was filled with glowing...
âSunflowersâ
Out of nowhere you suddenly felt a wave of nostalgic feelings for a second.
âHey, you ok?â
âHuh? A-ah yeah yeah Iâm fine, i think i just got exhausted from traveling too farâ
You closed your eyes and just placed your head on your cousinâs shoulder, futakuchi was confused at first but then just let you be.
Yeah maybe Iâm just exhausted from traveling that i see hallucinations.
After class
âNow that was boringâ
âYouâre just making excuses you literally didnât even listenedâ
âLike i said cuz it was boringâ
Aj stretched out her arms and got her bag, iwaizumi just scratched his head feeling frustrated.
âAwww donât give me that kind of reaction iwa-chan Iâll eventually get it if you teach meâ
âIâm not your teacherâ
Aj looked at him from behind and smiled âbut your much better than our teacher i learn a lot from you fyiâ
Aj started to walk towards the back door again, iwaizumi following her from behind canât help to have a small blush from what aj said to him. Oikawa was just waiting outside their classroom immediately saw them and smiled.
âHey boo! Why didnât you wait us outside?â
âI canât wait here?â
âYour room is literally on the other side of the building oikawa, and itâs just beside the stairsâ
âBut i miss you iwa-chan~â
âWanna die?â
âNow now as much i love to see some bloodshed around here i need this man to take me to the new ice cream shop so please donât iwaizumiâ
Oikawa stuck out his tounge and iwaizumi immediately choked him. Oikawa was tapping his shoulder furiously signaling him that he canât breathe.
As if iwaizumi cares.
âWhat are you two doing? Come on i want ice creamâ
Iwaizumi eventually let go of oikawa who almost faced death, they both started to follow aj.
âSometimes i thought how could you be so violent at meâ
Oikawa still gasping some air while massaging his neck. Iwaizumi looked at him and smirked.
âBecause you deserve it, you look like someone who needs a good hard disciplineâ
âOoooooh iwa-chan so kinky~â
âWTF?! DID YOU JUST HEARD WHAT I SAID?!â
âOh no no i did not sirâ
Aj stopped and turned around waiting for them to catch up, with a smirk on her face iwaizumi already know what sheâs up to. Aj went in the middle of the two and looked at oikawa.
âHow kinky iwa-chan, choking tooru and giving him a âgood hard disciplineâ â
âPlease stop making it weirdâ
âHahahahahaha shit iwaizumi your future meant to be will be so soreâ
âAj please, oi oikawa stop giving me that look!â
Aj looked at her side and saw oikawa giving iwaizumi the look of horror mixed with disgust, aj eventually laughed hard.
âIwa-chan is that why?â
âSHUT UP THATâS NOT IT!!STOP MAKING IT WEIRD SHITTYKAWA!!â
âBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAâ
They were in the busy streets of miyagi, like per usual they always encounter few of oikawaâs fan that they have to literally stop and wait from the sidelines. Few girls were suspicious of aj thinking that she was oikawaâs girlfriend even tho oikawa and her explained to them that theyâre just friends.
âThat girl is the second bitchiest person i ever encountered last week the blonde girl is is still number oneâ
âOikawa you really need to do something about thatâ
âLike what?â
âLike post something on your social media or something? You do have one right?â
âYeah iââ
Out of nowhere his vision was filled with glowing sunflowers, but disappeared immediately. Too confused he didnât noticed a pole and hits his head. Aj and iwaizumi who didnât noticed that oikawa was lagging eventually turned around when the heard a loud pang.
âOwwwâ
âBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAâ
Iwaizumi held his tummy while pointing at the pained oikawa, aj on the other hand is holding herself from laughing.
âHoney pffft are you o-ok? Pfftâ
Aj went to oikawa holding her mouth to prevent her from laughing. She saw the red mark on his forehead and immediately turned around and giggled.
âAh what show shittykawa, are you ok tho?â
Aj who eventually calmed down turned back at him while wiping her tears, still giggling at what happened.
âYeah what happened boo?â
Oikawa was about to explain to them about what had happened but thought maybe they wouldnât believe him instead he just gave a shrug and laughs it off
âI think i was too pre-occupied by volleyball I didnât see where Iâm going hahaâ
âWell honey be careful next time, we love seeing you this dumb but please be careful who knows what will happen nextâ
âYeah sheâs rightâ
Aj went to a vending machine and bout a small orange juice box, she grabbed oikawaâs hand and gave him the juice box
âPlace that on your forehead, my treatâ
âThanks ajâ
She just smiled, ânow letâs go get my ice creamâ
Oikawa bit his lips, he didnât know what was that, hallucinations? Maybe and then again ajâs story came into his mind again.
âNo thatâs impossibleâ he scoffed.
âWhatâs that boo?â
âAh nothing nothing letâs goâ
Thereâs no way thatâs true.....right?
Fun Fact:
*Aj usually donât call Oikawa as oikawa, she calls him either tooru or boo or other pet names. She calls iwaizumi as iwaizumi,hajime or iwa-chan thank to oikaw.
*Oikawa has been in the same class with the two except now.
*Aj literally wanna fight any stubborn girl who keeps saying sheâs oikawaâs gf.
pairing: Ivar x Y/N
summary: you find out your husband, who had two partners before you was clueless when it came to women
warnings: sex ed, periods
word count: 1049
âItâs just blood Ivarâ you sighed as you tried to comfort a frightened Ivar Ragnarsson, the prince of Kattegat who you happened to be married to for a few weeks now, during the night your period arrived, and when he tried to wake you up, the same way he always did, he saw the blood dripping from your private areas and screamed until you were awake, insisting you must see a healer.
âIts blood! From your vagina!â he shouted, you rolled your eyes âIvar, itâs normal, women bleed once every month when theyâre not pregnant, itâs Freyaâs bless to clean our wombs so we are ready to receive a child next monthâ you explained, he was still not convinced, thatâs when you realized, your husband was clueless about womanly matters! âLove, you were married before me, youâve been with women too, did they not explain it to you?â you frowned and cupped his face with your hand.
Ivar looked down, ashamed of his lack of experience, âFreydis was pregnant the month we got married, and well, I havenât been with many women, Iâve been with one, and I couldnât even⊠you know⊠let alone have the talk with herâ he mumbled under his breath, you sighed and hugged him âitâs alright my love, Iâll teach you all that you need to knowâ you comforted him.
âIâll take it upon myself to educate you, now, that we made the monthly bleeding clear, tell me your questions and Iâll answer themâ you told, getting up to get yourself cleaned, and put some clothes on, while Ivar just watched you shyly âI can ask you anything?â you nodded once you returned to bed, straddling his lap and sitting on it âanythingâÂ
âDoes it hurt? Bleeding every month? Does it ever stop?â he asked, now he wasnât as embarrassed, well, his cheeks were still red, but he was more of curious, you wondered how a married man who had a pregnant wife before you didnât know anything about these matters? You mainly blamed it on Aslaug for not giving him the talk, but she probably thought her son wasnât productive, that he had no needs of this sort, everyone thought so, but you knew better.
âA little bit, itâs bearable, it feels like you ate something rotten most of the time, and it happens for a period of three days to seven until women are old and unable to conceive childrenâ you explained, he listened to you very careful to memorize all of this âso⊠you have monthly bleedings because you can have children, but Lagartha doesnât because sheâs old and uglyâ he finally stated, you giggled and shoved him in the arm âwhat happens when you are pregnant?â he asked again, you frowned, how could he possibly not know these stuff? âWell⊠the reason women bleed is that they arenât pregnant, but once theyâre pregnant it stops until they give birth and their wombs became ready againâ
âWhat ways can women get pregnant with?â he asked, this conversation was getting weirder by time and you werenât sure of how you feel about it âthereâs one way Ivar, itâs when the man plants his seed in the womanâ you tried to explain the best you can âyes but Y/N, how?â he stressed on the last word and you frowned âby inserting his penis into the woman and they have intercourse until he spread his liquid in herâ he let out a little âohâ and went quiet, you didnât dare to ask what lies Freydis taught him.
âIvar⊠have you ever⊠you know, had your member inside of a woman, or is it just, the way you do it now?â you questioned, looking at him as he shook his head no, you frowned, unable to understand howâs that possible? How was Freydis able to convince him that a woman can get pregnant without this essential part? Why didnât anyone correct him, well, you knew why but still!
âI⊠well, I never had, it never goes up,â he said, his cheeks burning red, if it wasnât for the ridiculousness of the situation, you wouldâve thought of him as the most adorable man in the world âbut Iâve seen it rise a little, not to the full length but itâs possible for you to have normal sexâ you explained, and it was true, sometimes, after a long session of making out, youâd feel Ivarâs erection pointing towards your inner thighs âitâs never happened before, not with Margrethe or FreydisâÂ
âIâm neither, besides, even healthy men struggle with those things, perhaps you werenât feeling the heat from them both, would it be okay if I give it few tries once my bleeding stops?â you asked him, he frowned âI will only disappoint you, just like I did with the othersâ you placed a kiss on his soft, pouting lips âno you wonât love, I donât expect anything, I just want to explore, perhaps thereâs a possibility, wouldnât you want to find out if thereâs a possibility?â he took a deep breath and nodded, eventually âI promise you, whatever are the results, Iâll love you just the sameâ you assured him and he nodded âI love you tooâ he muttered.
âGood, now, letâs get ready, breakfast is about to be served in the main hall!â you beamed and got off of his lap, fixing your looks, Ivar got dressed and the two of you headed to the main hall, where everyone was gathered for breakfast, you and your husband joined his brothers on the table, and food was immediately served âhowâs married life treating you brother?â Ubbe asked him while eating, âvery well Ubbe, Y/N just got her monthly bleeding!â he beamed.
âIvar!â you shouted, his brothers looked at him rather shocked, they werenât sure of how to handle this information âwas I not supposed to tell people?â he frowned the moment he saw your pale face, turning red of embarrassment âno Ivar! You werenât supposed to tell!â Hvitserk was on the floor laughing, while Ubbe, well, Ubbe tried to keep a straight face âyou said it was normalâ he said defensively ânormal for women, but that doesnât mean you tell your brothers!â you whined, wishing Thor would strike you dead and save you the embarrassment.
Ghost Ship - Re-Review #28
Thought youâd appreciate them popping up before I start talking. I love this episode for so many reasons, firstly it is for the space brothers! Getting a chance to see these two interact some more was so so worth it. It was something we were seriously robbed of in TOS, with Alan and John only appearing in the same scenes thrice - âThe Uninvitedâ, âDanger at Ocean Deepâ and âThe Cham-Chamâ. Seriously robbed, folks.
âSpace Raceâ was the last TAG episode which really put these two in a similar place, but due to the new communication methods e.t.c. we have seen that they can communicate more and as such have still had scenes together as seen in âRelicâ, âChain of Commandâ, âRing of Fireâ, âSlingshotâ.. yeah, thereâs quite a list, so Iâm just going to stop and keep on with the episode review for now, okay?
Okay. So, weâll get back to John and Alan, but for now letâs stick with John.Â
Firstly John and EOS (hooray someone remembered she exists!). John and EOS playing chess is just one better. Of course he would teach her to play chess - that is just so John, letâs all be honestly.
âJohn, Iâm intercepting a GDF encoded message. The signalâs very faint.â
Youâre trying to distract me, EOS. You know I finally have you checked.â
âHonestly John. The bulk of my processing is currently dedicated to boosting the weak signal. Itâs a distress call from the moon side of EDEN.â
Thirdly, letâs get to the action of the episode. Space mission! It makes complete sense that John can go on missions of his own, after all, some of these places would be on his doorstep considering Thunderbird Fiveâs location, and âLegacyâ showed us that Five has an inbuilt pod. But right now, letâs discuss this work of machinery.
Jets, wings, light beam and laser beam - pretty fancy equipment this Exopod/Wingsuit has going for it. It does makes sense for John to have something like this as well - not just for the case of nearby rescues, but in the sense of needing to escape Five. I personally think this was born out of the events with EOS, because it was never used in Series 1, which implies Brains hadnât designed it then (or just that the writerâs hadnât thought about it, but hey, letâs put that to one side). Also, the fact Scott says;
âSo you finally get to take the suit out for a spin.â
implies it is newly fitted. So, chronologically, it makes sense to me to think that those events brought around the designs for this. Yes, this wouldnât be any good for re-entry, but it would at least provide a getaway that would last a little longer. And a laser also implies defensive/offensive capabilities - minor yes, but probably enough.
âI only have five minutes on the meter.â
âThen weâll see you in four.â
Oh that Tracy brother confidence. Must run in the blood.
âPrecision flight isnât as easy as I make it look. Let me know if you need any pointers.â
âOh I do have one question. Whatâs that big, blue, marblely looking ball down there?â
âHaha.â
So this is EDEN, now nothing more than a Ghost Ship, and the setting of todayâs episode. Apparently the GDF maintain it to make sure it doesnât become a space hazard... maybe they should have just got rid. Itâs probably going to become a space hazard now after all, because itâs made it into an episode of Thunderbirds and that is just what happens to these things.
âWhenever Iâm near it, the place always gives me the creeps.â
âThe Ghost Shipâ is also an episode of the Andersonâs series âStingrayâ. The episode also starred Ray Barrett and David Graham, the original voices of The Hood and Parker respectively. Of course, David Graham stuck around for TAG - because Parker could only ever have one voice actor as we all know (and Iâm sure youâve all guessed by now by absolutely love and praise for the man who made Parker into everything he is). Also, is it ironic or chance that this reference appears in a John strong episode, after it was John in âRing of Fireâ who declared âStingrayâ his favourite show? I think it could be a good bit of script writing, but who am I to say. Anyone want to give me the answer - script writers of TAG Iâm looking at you now.
And this is GDF Captain Ridley OâBannon. Hello! Everyone introduced? Good letâs keep moving.
âLights on, but nobodyâs home.â
Probably a good sign to leave... No, okay, letâs just go even deeper into the malfunctioning ship.
âSome people say the place is haunted.â
âThereâs no such thing as ghosts, Captain.â
âItâs the end of the line.â
Yeah... lets just keep going still... with no comms and the feeling youâre not alone. Yeah, letâs definitely do that!
âJohn, do you hear me? EDEN, are you there?â
Apparently not Scott, so donât waste your breath shouting into the void.
So, Iâll be honest, ghosts and stuff donât really spook me and I breezed through this episode fine. Except first time I saw this thing - it gave me the creeps. So, I watched this episode for the first time at night (I was thinking itâs a childrenâs show, what can go wrong?) and I looked away for two seconds and then this appeared. It looked too much like a spider for my comfort and yeah, scared me cold. Especially these red blinking eyes.
âHello there. We come in peace.â
John, did no one pass you the memo? This is not âAlienâ!
âLooks like he understands. could be some sort of sentient AI.â
He loves tech a little too much I think.
Yeah... accidentally punch the thing John. That will do it
âIt thinks youâre a threat. Show it youâre not.â
âSeriously? Ok, I surrender.â
Yeah, still not in âAlienâ, or âPirates of the Caribbeanâ or âPeter Panâ... But whatever you want to say, John, is absolutely cool.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WezjFUZOvVA
I canât describe this scene any better than the scene itself, so Iâve included it.
âAnd it wonât be ghosts.â
No it wonât, it wasnât... um, isnât? Itâs just Mauârice [Edward Razor Burn Reece] (right) and Dobbs [Dan - no nickname, no middle initial - Dobbsy Dobbs] (left). Space pirates! Okay... maybe it is turning a little into âPirates of the Caribbeanâ...
How about... Pirates of EDEN... Next big block buster?
Yeah I think so!
âPlundering. I like that. Very nautical.â
Yeah, thereâs nothing nautical about these guys though. I really do love the voice acting though. These characters are great.
Trust John to figure it out - never shut something down until you know what the after effects will be!Â
I do really love this getaway plan though. It made for an absolutely awesome scene.
Overall, I think this episode leaps its way onto my favourites list too! It literally has everything, I think! Well, nearly everything.
Last year's wishes are this year's apologies: đŹ and đ for Alex
đŹ- Was there one scene you were building up to/knew you had to get just right?
The scene in chapter 12, where Michael and Alex talk about Caulfield. FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ LOOK AWAY (or read my fic haha)
Thereâs a lot of Alex Manes characterizations running around fandom, which is great- heâs such a dynamic character that brings everyone in with his toughness married with his vulnerability. We havenât had much air time for Alex to explore his sense of responsibility for what it meant to discover his brother working at an alien prison run by his dad.
The whole main premise of last yearâs wishes is Alex taking on responsibility that is not really his to take- he thinks itâs his job to save Michael, his job to shutdown Project Shepherd, his job to protect everyone from the Manes family and the larger government conspiracy. The burden that comes with believing that- itâs so heavy. Michael is trying to show in that moment that he doesnât want Alex to do these things because they are harmful to Alexâs well-being and Michael cares about that first.
âAnd what about you, Alex? What about your mind? See, this is the type of thing I'm talking about. Youâre so fucking ready to throw yourself on a grenade. Is this what the Air Force teaches?â Michael turned back around, and finally closed the distance between them. He came within inches of Alexâs chair.Â
âThere is an element of sacrifice, it comes with the sense of duty.â Alex licked his lower lip, looking up at Michael. âBut mainly, this is my mess to clean up. These evil men took something that I believe in, service to others, and they used it to harm in unimaginable ways.â
âAnd itâs your duty to right this wrong? All by yourself?â
âIt was 70 years of pain at the hands of my family. Don't you think I owe it to your family to make it right?â
âStop. Seriously, what about the pain you suffered at the hands of your family?â Michael held up his healed left hand, waving it in emphasis to punctuate his words with feeling. âHe did this to me, remember? He did, not you. Thatâs what you said, that I didnât set him off that night. He was doing this to you long before I showed up. Well, how is this any different?â
Alex blinked a few times. He could tell that Michael was upset again, or still by what they were talking about. He glanced back toward the black monitor screen and then over to Michael, searching for the cause of the distress. Hoping this was the correct answer, he ventured tentatively, âI did bring you back to the shed that night-âÂ
âAlex!â
Like I really wanted that scene to be a turning point in Alexâs mind - which he obviously doesnât get at the moment - that Michael isnât asking him to bleed for the Manes family legacy- more to the point, Michael actively rejects Alex doing anything that harms Alex on some level, regardless of motivation. On the flip side, Michael needs to respect that while Alex will do these things- itâs not just on Michaelâs head- that at his core, Alex is someone who would want to right any wrong, not just one intimately tied to his name. Thatâs a hard thing for Michael, because he still links the Air Force to what happened in the shed and blames himself. âIf you were the reason Alex went off to war, Iâd hate youâ - and that person is Michael in his own opinion.
đ- Was there a clear character arch you wanted____ character to go on?
Well, the above answers this- but I also wanted to give Alex the cover to work on some of his long-standing issues with intimacy but through the framework of Alex canât bolt if he gets scared, and neither can Michael- since the alibi is they are together. They have to rub elbows in the domestic stuff of meal prep, but also tackle things like PTSD, pain management, most importantly, the assumptions they both have about each other. Alex struggles very hard in the show to connect with people outside of a mission- even though he badly wants it, and is starting to work toward that in 1x13 by saying âI shouldnât have left you behindâ. He wants to be known. (Shout out to the last chapter!).
A/N: Only 2 more chapters left of Season 2! And then weâre off to the Prison with Season 3! I love the Prison era, haha~! The finale of Season 2 will be up this Friday!
Chapter 8
Gloria was in Daleâs RV, putting back her first aid kit in the compartment. She limps back out as she left the crutches outside, deeming it a hassle to go into the RV with the crutches. Sheâs greeted by Dale who helps her down the steps of the RV, handing her the crutches which she mounts once sheâs out, thanking him.
âI wanted to ask you about something.â Dale says, his expression serious.
âWhatâs up?â Gloria says, looking at him, returning a serious expression.
âWhat are your thoughts on the execution?â he asks, crossing his arms, ready to listen intently.
âHonestly, I donât think itâs right, but regardless of what we think, itâs going to happen.â she sighs.
âWell shouldnât you say something if you think itâs wrong? More people need to voice out their opinion if they donât agree with it, I canât be the only one! Staying silent is the same as agreeing with killing the poor kid!â Dale rants, throwing his arms in the air in frustration.
Gloria takes a breath, âDale, what else can we do? If we let him out there, he might bring back his entire group and kill us all in our sleep. We keep him here, weâll have one more mouth to feed and I donât think the others are willing to spare any more of our resources, or we starve him which is an even crueler way of execution in my personal opinion. I hate to say it, but killing him is the only clean way to guarantee our safety from his group.â
Daleâs face falls, defeated, he nods as he understands Gloriaâs point. He climbs into the RV, Gloria gives him an apologetic look then goes off herself. She hobbles around the farm in deep thought about the entire situation with Randall that she didnât even realize she had walked to the side of the barn he was kept in.Â
âYour mom out here too? Youâre lucky, still got your family.â Gloria overhears Randall speaking to someone, she hobbles closer to the barn, âHey, I-I donât know what people have been saying about me, but I didnât do nothing, I swear! Your dad was gonna let me go until his friend started fighting with him.â
She looks around the outside walls of the barn, searching for a hole or crack she can peek through to see who heâs speaking to, finally spotting one, she puts her eye to the crack and looks in, she gasps, âCarl...â
âIt got pretty bad, I was kinda worried. My camp, we got lots of supplies, you help me, Iâll take you and your folks back to my people. Weâll take good care of you.â he continues.
Gloria frowns as she feels anger towards Randall, âassholeâs trying to manipulate Carl...â sheâs about to go into the barn when she saw that Shane had barged into the barn, shouting at Carl to get out, then proceeds to interrogate Randall about what he said to Carl.
---
Back at the house, the meeting was taking place as the group discusses what to do about Randall. Itâs evident that most of the group is on the side of execution as they have no other good alternatives to guarantee their safety.
âSo, how do we do this? Do we take a vote?â Glenn questions.
âApparently only me, Glenn, and Gloria are opposed to this.â Dale says, looking at the siblings, Glenn waivers hesitantly, âGlenn! Theyâve got you scared!âÂ
Glenn stutters, âWha- h-he isnât one of us!âÂ
Gloria takes a breath, âI originally was opposed to it, but now... now I think it really is the right call.âÂ
Dale looks at her with wide eyes, enraged and disappointed, âWhat changed?!â
âWell...â Gloria looks around, everyoneâs eyes on her and she hesitates, deciding not to tell them that Carl was in the barn, âI spoke with Randall.âÂ
Glenn turns to look at her immediately while Daryl pushes himself off the wall he was leaning on, âhe tried to manipulate me, saying that if I helped him, he'd take me back to his people, that theyâre good people and theyâd treat me well. The complete opposite of what Daryl told us when he interrogated the kid. Heâs up to no good, and I donât trust him.â
âYou went into the barn?!â Glenn shouts, upset that she would take that risk.
âI told ya to stay outta there!â Daryl joins in, fuming.Â
Gloria rolls her eyes and groans, âIâll deal with you two later! Right now, we have to deal with the piece of shit in the barn!â
âWhy the hell were you even in the barn in the first place?â T-Dog asks, a frown on his face as heâs also worried about her safety.
She sighs, knowing sheâs going to get into trouble with Daryl after she says this, âI was gonna patch up the kid, just in case... You know, we decide not to kill him, but after he started trying to manipulate me, I just left him.â
At that, Daryl storms out of the house, his vote was already clear. The rest of the group proceeds with their votes, and with Gloriaâs new information, the results were all in favor of the execution. It was decided that Rick and Shane as well as Daryl would do it tonight in the barn. Gloria makes her way out of the house, wanting to find Daryl when Glenn stops her.Â
âWhat the hell were you thinking, going into the barn without letting anyone know first? Are you crazy?!â Glenn scolds, the last part in Korean.Â
Gloria sighs, âthe kid wasnât speaking with me, it was with the sheriffâs son.â she responds in Korean, referring to Carl.
Glenn frowns, âthen why didnât you just say that you overheard their conversation?âÂ
âAre you crazy?â she rolls her eyes, âboth his parents were in there, and if I told them that their son was in the barn alone with the kid, you really think theyâd be calm? Also, I donât want to be the reason he gets grounded forever.âÂ
Finally, Glenn nods in understanding, then a thought dawns on him, âhey, I know I keep asking you this, but seriously, is there something going on between you and the archer? He looked pretty upset when you told us all you talked to the kid.â
Gloria sighs, âheâs probably just upset that I didnât listen to him when he told me not to go into the barn, and now Iâm gonna have to explain it to him.â she responds in English, âwish me luck.âÂ
She starts to make her way to find Daryl when Glenn calls out to her, âYou still didnât answer my question!â
âThatâs a discussion for another day.â Gloria calls back without turning around.Â
She makes her way to the stone structure where Daryl had first moved his tent when they had found Sophia. He was sitting on a rock, shaving pieces of wood with his knife to make more arrows. Gloria hobbles towards him, sighing when he purposely ignores her call.Â
âDaryl, will you just listen to me, please?â she pleads, looking down at him.
âWhen the hell will ya listen to me, then?â he retorts, not even looking up at her.
âI did.â Gloria starts, âI did listen to you, I didnât go into the barn and I didnât talk to Randall.â
âThen why the hell dâya say ya did?!â Daryl yells, facing her finally.
Gloria looks around and makes sure the others are far enough to not hear what she was about to tell Daryl, âbecause it was Carl. He snuck into the barn somehow, and Randall was trying to manipulate him, not me. I couldnât tell Rick and Lori that, Loriâd most likely freak out and nothing would have gotten done.âÂ
Daryl purses his lips as he looks at her, âso yaâd rather freak out me anâ Glenn instead?â
âHey, in my defense, Loriâs still pregnant and I doubt the news would sit well with her.â Gloria shrugs.Â
Daryl nods and stays quiet. He goes back to making arrows, only looking up at Gloria when she starts chuckling, he raises an eyebrow at her.Â
âDid you just indirectly admit that you care about me, Daryl Dixon?â she smiles at him.
Daryl scoffs at that then looks away, trying to hide his blush, ânah.â
Gloria takes a seat beside Daryl and nudges him, making him glance at her, âI think you care.â
âYa think what ya want.â he tries to hide a smile growing on his lips.
She takes a stick from the ground, one that Daryl would use to make arrows and watches as Daryl shaves the wood. Taking out one of her own daggers, she tries to imitate his blade work. Daryl gives her some pointers and ends up teaching her how to make his arrows.Â
---
The group is resting in their campsite as they wait for Rick, Shane, and Daryl to return from the barn after they execute Randall. Dale had walked off, unable to be around them as he strongly disagrees with the execution. Shortly after, Rick and Shane return to the tents with Carl, both of them seemingly very frustrated.
âHe was watching, he was telling me to do it.â Rick tells Lori, shaking his head, âI couldnât with him watching...â
She soothes her husband, holding him to her. Shane looks away from the two, sighing at the sight. Gloria looks over to Carl whoâs sitting down near his familyâs tent, making sure that heâs alright, she sees him pout. She sighs as she thinks that heâs probably pouting because he wanted to witness the execution first hand. She shakes her head at the thought, a child his age should never have to witness something like that. Gloriaâs thoughts are interrupted as well as everyone elseâs conversations as a blood curdling scream sounds throughout the night air. Everyone looks in the direction the scream had emitted from, seeing Daryl who had stayed in the barn with Randall dashing to the middle of the field. He sees a walker and tackles it down, immediately stabbing it in the head. He rushes over to the man it had attacked, Dale.Â
âHelp! Over here!â Daryl waves his arms towards the rest of the group, shouting loudly, âitâll be okay, buddy.â he says down to Dale, comforting him as best he could given the circumstances.
Everyone rushes over, Gloriaâs standing beside Glenn, she had left her crutches back by the tents due to the frantic situation, Glenn had helped her limp over. Gloria gasps at the scene, Dale had his abdomen ripped open, his intestines and guts spilling out as he laid there, groaning in pain and agony. Andrea kneels by his side, crying helplessly.
Glenn turns to Gloria, ây-you gotta do something...â he chokes out a sob.
âI... I canât... we wonât be able to move him... h-heâs lost too much blood.â Gloria breathes out, her body shaking; even if sheâs worked in a hospital, sheâs never seen anything as gruesome as this.Â
Hershel rushes over to the scene as Rick had been frantically yelling out for him, âoh my God...â
âHershel, we gotta do something, anything!â Rick pleads, tears falling from his eyes.
âHeâs passed saving... Iâm sorry.â Hershel says regretfully, looking away.Â
Dale reaches his hand out to Andrea as he continues to groan, unable to form words from all the pain, âHeâs suffering... somebody do something!â she sobs out.Â
Rick wipes his face with his hand and sniffles, taking out his gun and aims it straight at Daleâs head. He stares at Dale and struggles, regret written all over his face. Daryl takes the gun from Rick, nodding to him, telling him itâs fine, that he doesnât have to do it.Â
Daryl kneels down, putting the gun directly on Daleâs forehead and cocks the gun, âSorry, brother.â with those final words, he pulls the trigger.
LavaÂ
The Queen of Cordonia could hold her liquor. She was a master at it.Being an American and New Yorker, respectively, she had her fair share of nightâs out. A few times after long weekâs ofcorrespondence with delegates, ambassadors and many insufferable nobles she lether hair down and dabbled in a few drinks to calm herself or have fun.
She didnât know how Liam did it. He was the epitome of a king and thequeen herself? WellâŠletâs just say she was still learning.
Itâs only been 6 months since the wedding and sheâd been thrust rightinto the work of a monarch and she had been run off her feet since.
She was exhausted.
So, it was after a long day of meetings, a bill passing through theRoyal Council and a very long, detailed meeting with their Director of RoyalCommunications, that saw her sitting in the lower wing of the palace in the secluded bar just outside the copious palace grounds.
She was sitting at the bar, a glass of whiskey in her hand, sipping onit slowly, thinking about her schedule tomorrow which consisted of brunch withthe Queen Mother and a few meetings she had to attend with Liam. A burst of exhaustionwent through her.
I am so ready for sleepâŠ
âHeyoooo!â
A booming voice rang through the quiet space of the downstairs bar andAriel winced at the volume, her body jumping in shock. Her mouth pursed into ascowl, having enjoyed a few moments of silence before the hurricane known asMaxwell Percival Beaumont flew in.
However, as soon as she met the excited, blue eyes of her self-adoptedfun-loving brother, her earlier annoyance fizzled out to be replaced by abright smile. Maxwellâs energy seeping into her tired bones.
âHey, Maxwell. What are you doing down here?â
Maxwell shoots Ariel a grin, nodding to the bottle of Russian vodka onthe shelf next to the bottle of JĂ€germeister. On further thought, Maxwellpointed to the JĂ€germeister as well. The bartender nodded, handing over bothbottles before putting down a shot glass.
Ariel stared at her friend, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. âMaxwellâŠwhatthe hell are you doing?â
âWell, Your MajestyâŠI believe that for a woman who has been working ashard as you have deserves a load off soâŠâ Maxwell pauses, reaching over the barand grabbing more shot glasses. âI think it is time for some alcohol!â
Ariel resisted the urge to groan. She could hold her liquor, yes. But Russianvodka, JĂ€germeister and the already two glasses of whiskey already buzzing throughher veins would not be a good combination in the long wrong run. Mixing drinksis always a bad idea.
Ariel gives him a long-suffering look. âMaxwellâŠthatâs very thoughtful.But I donât think thatâs a good idea. I have brunch with Regina tomorrow and Icanât affordâââ
Maxwell interrupts her with a wave of his hand. âBruch, smunch. Youdeserve this.â
âButâââ
âNo buts, Ariel. You need to relax a little. All that queenly stuff andpaperwork isnât good for oneâs social life.â
Ariel stares indignantly at Maxwell. âI have a great social life,Beaumont!â
Maxwell scoffs, a laugh bubbling up from his throat. âYeah, because youhave to. Youâre the Queen of Cordonia but that doesnât mean you socialise withthe right people.â
Ariel raises an eyebrow. âAre you implying that youâre the right people for me to be hanging with?â
Maxwellâs grin grows wide. âNaturally.â
âOh, MaxwellâŠâ Ariel laughed, shaking her head at the youngest Beaumontbrother. He was so incorrigible. Despite how tired she felt, Ariel couldnâthelp the smile lifting her lifts. Maxwell was just that kind of person whoalways lit up a room with his energy.
Ariel finished off the last of her whiskey, setting down the glass witha soft tap against the bar. She groans as she stands up, her feet throbbingfrom being on them all day.
âUh, uh. Where are you going?â
Ariel stares at him for a minute. âI am going to bed, Maxwell. I havestuff to do tomorrow.â
Maxwell rolls his eyes but continues to pour two shots of vodka forthem both. âCome on, Ariel. You know you want toâŠâ
Ariel sighs, running her hands through her hair. âI have a feeling youarenât going to stop until I placate you and say yes.â
Maxwell leans back, grasping the two shot glasses and handing one overto her.Â
âYouâre quite right about that.â
Ariel rolls her eyes, the hint of another smile on her lips as theyclink glasses and they both toss back the shot, the strong Russian alcoholburning down her throat as it went.Â
***
âMaxwellâŠyou a succhh a bad in-plueence on meâŠâ
âWhaaat can I say, Ariel? I am one half of the Brothers Beaumont. Ihaaavve to be at least good at something, right?â
Ariel giggles, the sound loud in the room they occupied. They had movedfrom the bottom level bar to the drawing room next to it. Maxwell and Arielwere seated on the ground, their backs leaning up against the sofa.
âYou know what, Maxwell?â
âWhat?â
Ariel lolls her head to the side, her mind a haze with the amount of alcoholshe had consumed.
âI think I could beat you at a game of lava.â
Maxwell looks at her quizzically despite his inebriated state. âLavv-a?What kind of game is that?â
Arielâs lips pull up in a large grin, her excitement growing. This is onegame that Maxwell wouldnât know about.
Ariel pours herself another shot of vodka and downs it, slamming the glass on the coffee table before standing, wobbling on her feet slightly.
âOkayâŠnow, I will teach you this custom. It was basically the childhood gameof all American child-rennâŠâ
Seeing Arielâs smile, Maxwell follows her, jumping up on his feet,himself almost falling over. Â âOkay! Showme this custom of yours, Little Blossom!â
Ariel laughs, clapping her hands in childlike excitement. âOkay. SooooâŠyouhave to pretennd that..the ground is hot like lava and that everyything else isssaaafe. SoâŠletâsss say I call out âlavaââŠthen weâd have to find the n-nearestpiece of furniture and stand on it. The first one to fall down or trip loses.â
âBuuutâŠâ Ariel says, lifting up a finger. âThe last one to land on a piece of furniture has to take a drink.â
Maxwell smiles, nodding his head in drunken excitement. âOooohâŠletâs dothisss. P-prepare to lose, little blossom-m.â
Ariel and Maxwell begin on opposite sides of the reading room. Both ofthem in the middle, eyeing prospective places to keep off the floor. With themany shots of alcohol running through her system Ariel gives a devious grin toMaxwell and shouts at the top of her lungs,
âLAVA!â
With that yell, Ariel shoots away and jumps on to the nearest thing shecan find which was a cream coloured reading chair beside the fireplace. Maxwellhad found a brown oak coffee table to settle on. Both Ariel and Maxwell laughas they take turns in jumping on the furniture, shooting back vodka and yellingâLavaâ a few times their voices almost raw.
âLava! Oh, Arielâwatch out!â
In her excitement to get to safety on top of the sofa, Ariel missed herfooting and with the momentum of her upper body she tumbles over the back of thesofa and lands with a loud thud.
âOw! That f-fucking hurt!â
ïżœïżœCraaap! Are you alright?â
âWhat in the world is going on in here?â
Ariel freezes, her body going rigid at the voice. She recognised it. Herface scrunched up in a grimace. It wasnât many times that he saw her drunk butnow was one of those times.
Ariel thought it best to stay behind the sofa. It was the safest place forher to be right now.
Ariel peeked underneath it, seeing Maxwell standing atop the piano. Shestifled a giggle that wanted to bubble up from her throat but she slapped ahand on her mouth to stop it.
âMaxwell? What are you doing on the piano?â
Ariel sees as Maxwell stumbles for words, himself swaying on the pianotrying to appear sober but failing miserably.
âUm ââ IâŠI donâtâŠyou seeâŠit was Arielâs ideaâŠâ
Thanks a lot, MaxwellâŠÂ
âAriel? Is she here? Where is she?â
Ariel closes her eyes as her heart beats widely against her chest.
Shit. Shit. Shiiit.
âSheâs hiding behind the sofa.â
Ariel hears a sigh and feet hitting the floor before a shadow passesover her form and she inclines her head upwards and locks eyes with herhusband. His face was a neutral mask of stoicism but his eyes told a differentstory.
He was madâŠbut even in her drunken state she could see remnants ofamusement in them too.
âWhat are you doing down there, my love?â
Ariel stares at Liam for a small while and then she grins. âOh, Iâm justplaying Lava with Maxwell. You knowâŠa gameâŠwith a few shots of vodka here andthere.â
Liamâs shoulders shake with a low chuckle and he shakes his head. âArielâŠwhatam I going to do with you?â
Ariel smiles from her position on the floor. âUhâŠmaybe take me to bed? Ithink I had a little too much-h to driiink.â
Liam smiles, his blues sparkling with affection before he bends down andscoops his wife into his arms. âCome on, my queen. Letâs get you to bed. Youhave a long day tomorrow.
Ariel smiles, giving Liam a sloppy kiss on the cheek. âThat sounds nice.I love youuuuâŠâ
Arielâs eyes were already slipping shut. She feels the low rumble ofLiamâs laugher against her ear. âI love you too, Ariel.â
***
Ariel awakens, her eyes throbbing and her head pounding. She felt likesheâd been thumped in the head a few times.
âUgh!â Ariel groans. âMy headâŠâ
Ariel tries to open her eyes but the light against her lids is painfuland she snaps them shut with a hiss.
âSore head, Ariel?â
Ariel lies back down against her bed and groans. âMore like a sorefreaking everything.â
Liam chuckles, leaning down to kiss Arielâs forehead gently. âIâm sorryto hear that, my love. But unfortunately, duty callsâŠyou have a meeting in an hour withRegina.â
Arielâs eyes snap open, all thoughts of her pounding headache gone. Inher rush to get out of the bed, her feet tangled up and she falls to thefloor, her arms flailing about.
She lands on the floor with a loud thump. âGeez! Ow.â
Liamâs warm laughter fills their bed chambers and wraps around Arielmaking her shiver. âThatâs the second time youâve done that.â
Ariel pops up from the floor, giving her husband a questioning look. âSecondtime? When was the first time?â
âWhen you were in the bottom parlor and hiding behind the sofa?â
Ariel brings a hand to her forehead and scratches it in confusion. Theevents of last night all but a blur.
âHow drunk was I?â
Liam grins, his eyes crinkling atthe edges with mirth. âDrunk enough to proposition me, strip down to your underwear before passing out.â
Ariel gasps, her head beginning to throb louder. âOh. SorryâŠâÂ
Liam chuckles, running a fingerdown her cheek. âNo qualms about that, my sweet. Maybe another time.â
Ariel gives him a sly smirk. âIâllbe holding you to that.â
Liam chuckles, giving her a quickkiss before heading to the doors that lead out of their suite.
âI look forward to it. Oh, andAriel?â
Ariel glances back at her husband. âYeah?â
âMaybe next time we can play ourown game.â
Ariel gulps. âIââI look forward tothat.â
Liam gives her a wink before slinkingout the door and leaves Ariel to take care of her throbbing headache and the fact that she had to appear sober in front of Regina when in fact she had a killer hangover.
This was going to be a long day,indeed.
