i wrote for the smosh big bang! it's a little out of my typical wheelhouse, but i'm proud of the hard work i put into this one. i hope if you give it a try that it's a fun read!

summary: Those who have magic within all experience their ‘burst’ and get their marks early on in their life, but what happens after is often times much more mundane. On a street full of small businesses, a group of friends from all different walks of life make a lot more magic together than just spells. But magic is easily misunderstood, and the shopkeepers just trying to survive find themselves easy targets for people who resent magic.

Have you noticed that Damien and Courtney don't really act as friendly as they used to?

I noticed in spring that when Courtney was in videos with Damien, she didn't show typical Courtney excitement towards him. She also stopped liking his posts on IG which is weird since she is probably one of the most active users. (And well, Damien never likes her posts either.)

Damien hasn't acted this cold in videos but the one time he posts something Smosh-related, it's a dinner that Courtney and Shayne didn't attend. And having a big Smosh meeting without Courtney and Shayne happens like... never? It doesn't feel like a coincidence to me.

There's probably some other stuff as well but this has been most notable to me. I'm getting weird vibes from this. If they're actually not friends anymore, I would assume that one or both of them acted like a douche. Otherwise it'd be probably just easier to fake your friendship, even if you weren't as close anymore.

Yeah I’ve been hearing about this since June, I believe. I love Courtney but I feel like there’s been a few rumors of her beefing w/ someone lol (Saige, Jackie, Amanda, now Damien). I just hope none of it’s true honestly, shourtmien is one of my favorite trios and I’d hate to see it go. On the bright side, shaymien still seems relatively okay, so even if Courtney has a problem with him and/or vice versa, it’s nice that they don’t let others feel obligated to pick a side. It would be funny if they just randomly post a photo together just to shut us up tho 😂

Hello to bring some good vibes to you, i rewatched the shourtmien mario maker video recently and I know it’s not underrated (rightfully it is brought up a lot lol) but what a fun video, and with such a unique vibe. Damien being a menace but in a very good way, Courtney being big ‘youngest cousin’ vibes and Shayne just meeting both of them in the middle. And bonus Shayne being unusually touchy which makes it an adorable Shourtney time too. I wish I had been in the fandom when those 3 hung out all the time, it seems so sweet and fun.
