Hello! I'm new to your account but I just want to say your art is suuuuupper pretty! I want to know Anzu's lore, have you written it down anywhere or have discussed it with a previous ask yet?

hello, thank you and glad you asked 🫶 anzu never really speaks about anzu's lore because its overly complex and anzu wouldve wanted to save it for later for when anzu could actually pursue vtuber & idol activities, however its been 4 years and anzu still couldnt really. manage to do that. so anzu will talk about it now 👍 ^ _^)👍

anzu just hopes youre ready for a VERY long post (under cut because. otherwise itll be a post the length of do you like the color of the sky and dont wanna take up peoples dashes 😭)

so based on anzu's current design you'd probably think anzu is a vampire. which isnt entirely wrong but also. WRONG !! you see, anzu isn't from this world, universe, dimension, what have you. anzu comes from a very distant place in its own right that cannot exactly be entered, not even by anzu anymore due to how anzu was exiled from it. 'us' that live there are not entirely a species that is documented by the ones here, so anzu cant exactly tell you what anzu is, but the closest word to it of the inhabitants of this world would be probably close enough to shapeshifter; anzu doesnt exactly fit all characteristics of one, but that is still the best word youve all got for it ! anzu in a way also works like a candle, though anzu isnt made from wax or anything of the like (´ﾉω；`) anzu's insides are hollow and anzu's 'life' is given by a flame inside of anzu's body. it is closer enough to the fire that exists in this world, but also not entirely due to how it can hardly go out. back in anzu's 'world' we all lived under something close to a high governance of 'elders', but anzu would also compare it close to what people tend to call cults here. anzu did not like it, and though its painted as bad to be kicked out of that realm, anzu is kind of happy to have gone out ☆

anzu was also lucky enough to come across another of anzu's kind in the first world anzu was thrown into after the exile that could teach anzu how everything works. we are not exactly built for battle, though maybe sadly for anzu, anzu loves combat </3 our kind can go through dimensions, time and space at will, so we do not exactly age the same as humans. anzu could be 99308 one day and then 193993 the next one ! if anzu did some time skips or dimension skips or what have you. anzu has also given up trying to keep track of anzu's age, though last time anzu's checked, it was around 102000s (this may become invalid even by tomorrow)

the way we see things are as all stories, tales and also things far unknown beyond your imagination are their own dimension; dimensions are split into timelines; there is always a main timeline that shouldnt be interfered with, the one that you may call 'the one with the given fate', where all things go as they should, whether that be bad or not. and then after this one, theres thousands of subtimelines where minor changes have happened in everyones lives; anzu is free to go and disrupt those with anzu's own ideas of how things shouldve went~ truth to be told, anzu tends to become attached a ton to the ones that have sealed fates that cannot be changed.. well. almost, until anzu'd come in, of course ! and sometimes anzu cant help it but want to interfere. to how dimensions also work, a copy of every single person existing in said dimension exists in every copy of the main timeline; though, because anzu does not belong to any dimensions anzu goes thru, there can only be one anzu at a time anywhere.

anzu, across time and looking over all tons of different universes, has fallen in love with idols in each and every one of them. so anzu's quest is to end up becoming an idol in every dimension anzu goes to ! all different looks of anzu you see also tend to be so that anzu can fit in better here or there ... though despite anzu's spent so long among humans from so many different dimensions, anzu still struggles to understand some pretty simple things sometimes. either way, because anzu wants to be not only just any kind of idol but a cosplayer idol as well (i.e like fuyume hanamura from enst), its also good to have huge variety, right? ♡

this is what anzu looks like normally, anzu usually refers to this as 'default' or just 'sumika', given that was the name anzu chose when anzu had come onto a dimension outside of anzu's own. you may see it from time to time, and they may not always look identical but anzu thinks its pretty usual to spot in most drawings whenever it is the 'default' !

among the usual white holographic hair and the usual characteristics, anzu's also had blonde hair for a while ... anzu does not really like to act as an idol like this, but anzu does that.. sometimes ! and for the blonde times, it was more a case of spicing things up.. ?

those are also just a very small portion of what anzu's 'default' looks like. below is a much much larger strip of looks, though not updated.

okay ! now that we've established that that is, what a normal person would probably call anzu's 'natural' look, next are two charts of anzu's looks anzu used to use and that anzu still uses sometimes ! you see there far more often than the default, due to the fact that anzu prefers to perform idol work and activities through them. the default from before is more of a personal and casual thing(＞＜*)ノ~~~~~

Plus, he was pissed off first, she betrayed him and he was especially cruel when talking about her after that, some elements of the plan were going out of the way to say "fuck you" to Miu (and using that to draw more suspicion to himself, but that was not necessary to do that), I think he wanted Gonta to be the winner, as somebody who stayed on his team, making it his victory, but then Gonta wasn't following the plan, meaning that he must have betrayed him too, and then Kokichi lost it

Her plan was really good, even Shuichi noted that without finding out about the secret of the virtual world that they would’ve been fucked. She could’ve very well won had he just let her kill him, but still, it’s better he have control over the situation than potentially die for no reason while the game continues. I get that. But like….What did Gonta do to not follow with the plan? From what I remember, by the time Kokichi outed Gonta….He didn’t do anything?? No one suspected him until he brought it up. Gonta became suspect because of him. Why would he do that? Are you saying he got so pissed that Gonta was good at not being sus that he changed his mind? Cause I honestly find that ridiculous. It is literally essential that Gonta not be suspicious so that they win…. Was it a method to make Gonta not suspicious by making him suspicious? But again, why? No one was ever suspecting him and he should know that most of everyone would never suspect him as the culprit at that point because it’s Gonta. Yes, they’ve suspected Gonta plenty times before and you could say they only reacted that way cause Kokichi was the one saying it, but…I feel at that point everyone grew closer to Gonta and would have that genuine bias. Kokichi outing Gonta just led to him spewing more evidence that got them fucked even before he snapped at him. He was basically giving hints since the beginning of the trial. I always read it like he was doing what he usually did until Shuichi and the others pissed him off. Then Gonta pissed him off by denying everything and everyone believing him despite the evidence. Ves: it's not that gonta didn't follow the plan, it's that he followed it too well. you have to remember that kokichi had no way of knowing about the cord mixup; from his perspective, gonta was just lying his ass off. and he was lying so well kokichi wouldn't've been able to tell if he hadn't seen him kill her. even in an interpretation where he planned to betray gonta from the beginning, i think that would've freaked him the hell out

Sini: But he wasn’t really lying before…. He wasn’t doing anything. He was barely present in the trial until that point. Ig that’s a form of lying, maybe Kokichi expected him to be all nervous and shit?? But….Is that good enough reason to out him and abandon your plan??? I see some people say how he could’ve suspected Gonta as the mastermind, but I can only see him suspecting that after he outed him. And even then…If he was the mastermind…Why would he follow his plan in the virtual world in the first place? Surely Kokichi must’ve thought of that. To think he’s the mastermind based off of good lying alone, while understandable, is also a bit of a stretch. Kokichi knows there is more to Gonta than what people see, he’s seen him lie before. It’s just at that moment where it’s taken to a whole other level that even rivals his own (at least that’s what he thinks). But still…I just….He said that unprompted and I can’t think of a good reason as to why he’d do that after planning all this out There is Gonta debating Shuichi before I think but that’s still not enough to do something like call him the culprit I feel…. I just don’t understand it. Maybe I’m giving Kokichi too much credit, but it’s weird. Ves: gonta has repeated that he doesn't understand over and over in a very convincing (because it's true) way by that point tho idk ch4 doesn't make a lot of sense to me without the idea that kokichi was originally planning to follow through TBF though it's the clearest example of kokichi being a microcosm of v3; it's meant to be up to the player to decide what they believe, and that means there's evidence both ways. it's definitely a weird way to write a character Sini: But again, Kokichi knows he isn’t stupid. He must know he can probably pull off just saying “I don’t understand”. Not to mention, I don’t think he’d do something like this at all. Chapter 1 he acknowledges how if they die, they can just bring in new people and the games will continue. While everyone dying is a unsatisfying ending, it’s not enough to end the game. It has enough entertainment value and not enough scandal where it could do that much damage. Kokichi must still think this is all a show even if at that moment where he believed what he saw in the vault was real. Is it really winning the game and bringing justice to those who died if he follows the rules practically to a T and kills everyone? It’s not that much of a satisfying ending for him either. Ig he could’ve not known what else to do and was overwhelmed with despair, but I personally don’t think he’d want things to go that way. But that’s just me. I agree that it’s written in a way where you don’t really know what’s the truth. I understand the theory and I think the idea is cool, with enough evidence to support it. To me though, it just doesn’t jive

But thats vauge too, how much did he believe it? How long? Did he even believe it in the first place? WHO KNOWS Ves: i think he did believe it. i mean, he was THERE. he saw the broken world stretch out to the horizon, he felt the air leave his lungs that's very different than a flashback light Sini: Well, that’s the thing. I feel like he believed what he saw but soon afterward started to doubt it given everything else he witnessed. Why things are the way they are…It only makes sense if it’s a show. Kokichi himself acknowledges that in Chapter 5. The flashback lights….There’s so many things to not be trusted here. If they can pull off crazy rooms, executions, and robots, could they fabricate what he saw and experienced? Maybe it is real but there are survivors out there. I think Kokichi was in constant conflict about it Ves: it could be a show for just one person. i think that'd haunt him and yeah i agree about him being in constant conflict Clown: I do think he believed it for a good while!! It's hard not to. It probably effected him more than he realized. But at the same time the world around his is changing in completely unnatural ways, he acknowledges that it feels as though they're following a script sometimes. So that gave him room for doubts. But he couldn't really be sure Kodaka was a coward for not giving us a bonus unlockable scene where ouma sees the world end, BY HIMSELF, ALL ALONE, and just implodes in on himself for a little while I wanna see how he reacted!!! If I had the time to tell you all the fucked up things I’ve done throughout my lifetime, you would think I was the devil himself. To be fair, the people whose life I did fuck up deserved it. Though, there was this one man who started it all.

I remember that very night, I was sitting on the steps and I had met a man that was around my age, had red hair, and a beautiful singing voice. His name was Choi Jongho I would soon come to find out. When I tell you I was stupid enough to not just fall in love with him but to dedicate my heart, mind, body, and soul to this very man, it was the worst yet best mistake I had ever made. Sometimes I thank Jongho, he made me into the person I am today, the very best me I could possibly be.

Anyways, he was just, amazing in every sense of the word. I distinctly remember laying in bed with him for the first time, our legs tangled as a small giggle escapes my plump lips. He had the softest brown eyes and they held millions of stars in them. His soft hands caressed my cheek, a hint of a smile on his face as he finally whispered the words I longed to hear, “I love you.”

When he said that, his fate had been sealed. I didn’t know it at the time nor did Jongho but those words would be the very reason why he was murdered, love. When people said love can make someone do crazy things I didn’t believe them one bit, they were making things up, right?

It was one of those quiet nights again, laying beside Jongho as he looked at me with starstruck eyes. My heart swelled in my chest, a soft blush appearing on my cheeks as he whispered sweet nothings into my ear. Opening my mouth to speak I was quickly interrupted by his phone ringing. A frown soon replaced the soft smile that was once placed upon my face as he sat up and answered it. The warmth of the moment fading as quickly as it came.

He left moments later and what was once blissful silence had now turned into bitter silence. He had been leaving very often lately and I had grown curious so naturally I followed after him. What I found was a sight that broke my heart but to this day, fuels my anger. The soft lips that once kissed mine were now meeting someone else’s, a male. A gasp escaped my lips which caught their attention, tears streamed down my face as I watched a look of terror fill both of their eyes. I was being used, I was being toyed with, I wasn’t about to allow myself to continue being the puppet, I wanted to pull the strings.

So that’s what I did, I had him wrapped around my finger, dangling the information I very much knew would ruin his whole career. Now, it’s widely accepted, soft of, but back then, back when we had first met, coming out wasn’t welcomed. Did I mention that I liked to record just about every moment in my life? No? Well I guess now would be a good time to mention that I got their little, dirty, make out session on camera. Oh and don’t forget the look of terror in his eyes. Every time I see the video it makes me laugh, that look, I love it, every second of it.

“Please…” small whimpers escaped his chapped lips as he begged me to delete the video. “Please please please! I’ll do anything!” He yelled as my fingers hovered over the post button. A devious smirk on my face, seeing him this way filled me with joy, but it also made me sick, I still wasn’t used to being so cruel especially to a man I still loved deeply. Turning the phone off I give him a quick peck on the lips before smiling. “Good boy.”

Ah, the night I remember vividly now has its time to shine in this little story of mine. I remember the night perfectly, it was pitch black only a street light illuminating the sidewalk only a few feet in front of me. I was walking towards my car, phone in hand, rewatching the video that had started it all. Reaching for my keys my mouth is swiftly covered as strong arms wrap around me. Struggling, I tried my best to escape from their grasp when I saw Jongho. A part of me felt an immense amount of dread fill my body. I had been blackmailing him for months, using him for my own pleasure, he wasn’t here to save me, he was here to ruin me. The person holding me back was none other than his little slut.

He spit in my face before he grabs my phone and smashes it on the ground. I continue to struggle but I feel a sharp pain overcome my body. Everything had happened so fast, I felt warm blood stream down my face as my vision turned pitch black. A scream escapes my lips as I’m let go, left on the ground, the sound of footsteps fading in the distance.

When I woke up I still couldn’t see. It took me a moment to realize what had happened, the reality had just sunk in. Reaching up to rub my eyes I find that there’s nothing there, just empty hallow holes where my eyes should be. A blood curling scream escapes my cracked, dry lips as I heard the door open.

“My eyes! My eyes! Where are they?!” I scream, trashing around as what I assumed were nurses attempt to hold me down.

“Calm down!” A man yells and while the yelling should’ve alarmed me it seemed to bring me comfort. Slowly I took deep breaths and started to calm down. “There’s nothing to worry about. You still have your eyes.” A wave of relief overcame my body as he placed a jar in my hands. My eyebrows furrow and he must’ve seen my expression before he adds, “they’re in your hands.”

So you see, I had a clear motive to kill Choi Jongho and that slut he replaced me with. To be honest, I shouldve savored their death more but it’s alright. To cut this long story short, (I know you’re probably feeling quite impatient) I carved his eyes out along with his precious lovers once I got my hands on them. His sweet sweet screams filled the soundproofed basement as I placed his eyes into my empty sockets. Now, I can’t exactly see but that’s because I don’t have the perfect fit yet. My next victim though, Kang Yeosang. His eyes are beautiful, I hope they’ll fit just right.
