3. favorite music video from a boy group?

Hmm. I actually realized I have to possibly re-evaluate this, but first thing that comes to my mind, is Exo’s Universe.  It was first non-OST, big group kpop song to catch my attention ever, too. A sort of starting point that led me all the way here, in some ways. Just something about the whole video and the sound of the song makes me feel wistful and warm at the same time. Like catching a scent from past, that makes you smile a little tearfully yet comforts you at the same time. The whole mv made me realize I love this sort of aesthetics, which I had never considered seriously before. Though to say it is soft is to dismiss the yearning/captive emotion portrayed in it, it’s just so subtly complex and I really am thinking too much about it, but. It’s just what it invokes in me

A runner-up would be Day6′s Stop The Rain. It was first Day6 thing I giffed, because I was and still am absolutely in love with it. The minimalistic yet powerful stage, with the water and the changing skies backdrop, the sheer power of the whole falling sequence, wow. Closeups on the instruments!! The drippy and amazing glitch effects!! Everything about it is great. The colors and the sky thing alone could’ve gotten me, but it really brings the whole aesthetic and EVEN THE CONTEXT OF THE SONG home. There is sense of falling apart and slipping away as well as trying to resist it, power in everything about it. Honestly, I still have ps files for like another gifset, but I missed the hype and the process was tedious, so I let the idea remain in my head.

I suppose where Universe appeals to my softer, yet with undercurrents, side that I’ve been discovering more over past year, Stop The Rain steers more directly into my more typical aesthetics, while still being something new and fresh to me in every way.

4. favorite music video from a girl group? Can I cheat and pick a solo artist who used to be in girl group? If yes, Lee Hyori’s Black. There is something about the whole video, her, the song that just… Enchants me. I find it one of most empowering, I must vaguely dance to songs I’ve ever encountered. But back to the video itself… I love the story it tells, the way it starts with the sparkly dress and wig, the change, the depiction of the journey with again that non-aggressive, but still certainly powerful revolting against the situation/being where she is in her own self-acceptance journey. The shot of her and the dog, the dance sequence mixed with her playing with the dog… The end of it, where her ability to selflessly share and also genuinely accept herself leads to finding what she needs the most, what we all need the most. Water and comfort with ourselves, to be able to be unapologetically who we are and there is nothing that DEFINES how we must do it individually, eg. makeup or no makeup, what clothes we must wear and so on. We ourselves will know/feel it, it’s not for others to decide. And seriously, she herself throughout the video, with the dance… Is so captivating. There is nothing about this video that doesn’t get me like !!!

But actual GG… Hm. I have few that I love because of outfits or half the aesthetics (like Gidle’s Hann or SNSD’s Lil’ Touch, or Mamamoo’s Starry Night/Wind Flower), but the love I have for them just don’t compare to feelings I have for my actual favorites. I think I will have to pick 2ne1′s Goodbye. Yes, the more I think about it, the more I think this is it. I really do love the song a lot, to point it can make me cry if I really focus on it deeply and the MV really captures the feeling of it perfectly. The loneliness, the longing, feeling separated from something by a shroud, the memories out of reach that hurt as much as they comfort. Everything about it is heartachingly beautiful. The symbolism, like the framed birdcage behind the bed in lasts shot are telling even for people who know so little about the whole thing as I do and so on. Beautifully crafted and delivers so powerfully.

9. favorite fandom name (even if you’re not in that fandom)?

I love Myday. I love how it came to be, I love how it is used, the context, absolutely everything about it. A sort of belonging - to ourselves and as fan group to each other as well as to them - that it embodies in this encouraging, loving way is beautiful.

Another one would be Starlight for Vixx. I do not know how that came to be (inb4 Dee comes to educate me and yes, please do), but I think it’s so lovely and poetical. We, fans, indeed are often like stars in skies of our idols, distant but shining all the same, guiding and comforting. (And as such, we should respect our very beautiful place, instead of trying to be something else.) And to be recognized and call us such, I think that’s beautiful on Vixx’s part.

28. which idol would you let pick your clothes and do your makeup/hair?

Lee Hyori. I have always loved thought of an older sister or an aunt or just… An older woman in my family beside my mom. And I think, with her I could briefly experience these feelings. I think she’d find way to dress me up in way that is me and not too much, or encourage me to go out of my comfort zone in my own way in sense I’d be happy, and just spending time with her, talking while she brushes my hair sounds lovely, comforting and something that would probably heal something small, but vital and currently broken for me. I just don’t think I could go wrong with this choice.

another thing about that incident is that it seems like the fan doesn't think Changkyun and Jooheon undersood them?? it’s bc they’re intp x intj they don’t rly... Understand each other with minimal effort/real communication lmao it’s very efficient. both quiet lil darlings who aren’t emotionally That Open but enjoy their own little space together sometimes?? their dynamic is like... they’re weird in different ways but they’re v chill together. u can tell hyungwon is super fond of changkyun like he has this Expression when ck does anything at all.... i think these two rly love each other’s personalities bc they’re both kind/gentle/peaceful types and their overall ?? vibe is just highly compatible... they’re absolute darlings... v soft together... i can’t think of a favourite moment but i rly rly love their birthday messages for each other last year like changkyun’s message for hyungwon was like “ur rly cool bruh ur rly such a great person” and hyungwon’s message for changkyun was rly... just him obviously doting on him n finding him cute jksfdhg i lov them a lot :(

The whole thing about Knetz and wonho's "scandalous" past reminded me of something. As a PSA to those people who are so insistent and pushy that idols aren't allowed to have sex/date/be anything but straight: Fuck all of you. You do not own these people, and if you really cared about them you'd be happy if they were happy. Like tbh, if anyone that famous and busy could also balance out a relationship at the same time, I'd be so happy for them. It really bugs me how all idols are supposed (1/2)(2/2) have this squeaky clean innocent image where they have to look and act a certain way and have these stupid fucking dating bans because once they don't meet up to that image their success suffers.
