How would Endeavor and Hawks react to a broody (like when chickens are incubating eggs) phoenix child reader only to find out that the eggs in the nest are fertilized?

I hope that makes sense.

Whose the father? That’s their immediate reaction

After all, you couldn’t have fertilized them yourself

Any time Hawks tries to get near your nest, you immediately start trying to attack him

Enji has to hold you back so you don’t kill him

Hawks is not allowed near you since you attack him

For the sake of this to make sense, let’s just say that Tokoyami is the father. Or at least, he fertilized the eggs.

Hawks and Enji had no idea that you and Tokoyami were so close

You built a nest of blankets, sheets, pillows and clothes. You have two eggs that are fertile

Tokoyami has to bring you food and water since you refuse to move from your eggs.

You shed a lot of your flight feathers and have grown feathers that are slightly more downy and soft. The shed feathers are tucked into your nest

You have a heat lamp in your room that you use to keep the eggs warm when you leave to use the bathroom

You never leave the eggs for more than 30 minutes, ever

Natsuo checks the eggs often to see how they’re developing

Since your instincts are strong, you ‘decide’ to keep the babies. Not like your instincts would let you get rid of them

It takes 7 months in total for the babies to grow and hatch. In that time, Fuyumi and Natsuo are bragging about how their going to be Aunts and Uncles.

Shoto asks questions about the eggs and helps you plan for their future, where their rooms will be, how you plan to raise them, etc

Everyone in the Todoroki family already considers the reader as their sibling so they see themselves as the Aunts and Uncles of the reader’s eggs

Enji is stoked and yet horrified to be a granddad. He knows he was a terrible father to his own kids and he’s terrified that he’s gonna ruin his chances with his grandchildren, if he’s even allowed in their lives

Hawks is stoked and is already bragging about his niece and nephew, assuming the eggs are a boy and girl (you can change the babies’s genders) he’s gotten them so many gifts already and even plans out how to help raise them

Once the fetuses start to move and you feel it, you tell Tokoyami. He’s amazed and is slightly teary eyed. Dark shadow is bawling his eye out and proclaiming that he’ll never leave the eggs’s sides

Shoto just stares with a slightly amazed look and a soft smile when he feels the eggs move. Fuyumi is excited and happily smiles while giggling as tears run down her face. Natsuo just smiles and talks about what you might have to expect and writes down what’s happening for his medical experience and references

When the babies finally hatch it’s at 3:42 am in the morning. The babies are 6 1/2 lbs each

It takes 3 more months of you constantly taking care of them for them to fully absorb their yolk sacs, grow to standard baby weights, start suckling and to start developing feathers

ok i got very carried away with the dabi part but ykyk. uh two are platonic yan and the other is romantic. but basically, i was thinking about a quirkless reader who becomes the host for venom in the mha world. how cool would that be?

maybe i'll do a deadpool one as well, but i love venom too much atm.

⏤ venom!reader: you're just a quirkless reporter with a dark past. you work⏤well, worked for a news channel diligently, making sure to bring justice if not through a quirk, then through a camera. that is, until you investigate a company accused of trafficking quirkless civilians to test for quirk development. however, the chairman of the company doesn't take kindly to your intrusion and has you fired.

⏤ venom!reader: you sneak into the company's lab with the help of one of the chairman's closest scientists. you stumble across an alien, symbiote, from a whole different planet. this symbiote picks you as its host and you now have a literal parasite feeding off of you. the chairman is ecstatic since none other hosts have lived as long a you, so he sends men to capture you but venom is having none of it.

⏤ venom!reader: you escape from the chairman's men while accidentally getting your boyfriend, soon-to-be fiancé murdered in the process. you swear to get revenge, and the hero commission is more than willing to turn you into a hero if it means using you to push their agendas.

⏤ venom!reader: you accept despite knowing this won't end well. your mind is on revenge and revenge only. you want to murder the chairman, but for now, you have to bide your time. you're paired with the pro hero hawks, and he wants to be your friend so damn bad. you're assigned as an apprentice under the number one hero and decide to use these people to help you with your revenge.

— venom!reader: you're able to charm everyone with a charismatic personality. okay. that was a lie. you're brash, reckless, and stubborn, but perhaps that's something the number one hero's masterpiece loves about you. you're like... the wild older sister that's always bringing chaos to the family. you take shoto todoroki out on outings when you're not working yourself to the bone, and it warms his icy heart. you return to his home bloody and bruised up after a long day of fighting villains, and the first thing on your mind is to help him with his homework? the way you look after him is so domestic and familial.

— venom!reader: you make shoto want to keep you in his home forever, away from harm's way. you're destined to be his older sister, and there's no way you can be anything else, right? he doesn't know you don't really care about him. you just treat shoto todoroki well to get on his father's good side. but he finds out your true feelings the night you spend rambling off in a drunken haze to fuyumi, who may as well be as wasted as you. you and her talk about one day moving and leaving everything behind, and shoto can feel his entire world fall apart. no. no. no. no. you and fuyumi are his older sisters! you're supposed to love and care for him. nothing more! your jobs have gotten into your heads too much! he can't let either of you leave. no. he won't let either of you leave. you've become shoto's lifeline, and he'll die of you disappear.

— venom!reader: if you aren't hunting down the people on your list at night, you spend the day doing the commission's dirty work. your partner, hawks, who aides you with your work, isn't the most tolerable person to be around, but he pays for your food every time the two of you go out, so you're not too keen on dropping him just yet. his constant remarks about how you should be his apprentice instead of endeavor's are a bit annoying, but you brush them off. the heroes working directly for the commission are all fucked up in some sense. you would know since you've worked for them, and your old partner form the old days is no exception. he shows you off to the media as his best friend, but just because the two of you hung out so much back when you were younger doesn't make you friends. at least in your eyes.

— venom!reader: you don't see the maniacal glint in hawks's eyes when he looks at you. he looks at you as if you're the entire world, but you don't even spare him a single glance. why? why do you not smile at him like you used to? why do you keep a distance from him? why? why do you hate him? why won't you just LOOK at him? why? why? why?

— venom!reader: weeks after the grand chase between you and the corporation's men, you're still left with a terrible reputation. you work as a hero, but the people view you as a villain, and your symbiote doesn't really help in fixing your tarnished reputation. so many people died because of the chase. you seem like such a villain. would it be surprising if you tried to join the league of villains? you join hawks as a mule in the l.o.v after much conviction, and none of the villains unsettle you as much as that guy, dabi.

— venom!reader: dabi's gaze unsettles you. it feels like he's picking you apart with his haunting sickness that has you questioning how good of an actor you are. he's clearly done his research on you when he asks about your apprenticeship under endeavor and how you live with the man. there's distaste in his tone not for just the todoroki family, but you too. the two of you fight a minute into the conversation, and you evade him so quickly, he's quite embarrassed. the two of you are forced to partner up multiple times, and it's the usual mean and snarky banter that has both of you wishing death upon the other.

— venom!reader: walking in on blood running from his eyes, you offer him your help to which he denies quite harshly. but you're adamant on gaining the trust of the league, and dabi's too tired to deal with you so he lays back on the couch and lets you clean up all the open wounds he's got. touch makes him disgusted. it has him wanting to hurl and scrub away at his skin till it bleeds all over again. but you're touch... isn't so bad. you handle him with care, something dabi thinks he's never felt before, and even though he feels that similar nausea creep up his throat, he can still let your hands ghost over his stables and open wounds.

— venom!reader: you're able to read him like an open book, and dabi hates it so damn much. he hates your sarcastic remarks. he hates your brash and reckless behavior. he hates how you treat him with such gentle care. like... like you actually care about him. it reminds him of fuyumi. he misses her. you're like her. then, he sees you get a call from that brat—that "masterpiece"—and dabi's blood boils a fury. you talk to that twerp with a tone full of care and understanding. why won't you talk to him like that? why is his puny little brother able to call you older sister? why do you smile at his words? you're supposed to smile at him. let him be your brother. damn it, the scarred villain will do anything if it means taking away everything endeavor and his damned masterpiece love. but you? endeavor doesn't matter at all. he just wants to see you call him brother. once. just once. though, dabi knows he'll lose it if you give into that wishful thinking.

⏤ venom!reader: you don't realize just how horrifying of a situation you've found yourself into until you are gifted the dead body of your next target with the name of the villain that killed the person carved on their back. there's eyes always on you, and red feathers constantly litter around the corners of your apartment. but you brush it off. you know, but you push it aside. your revenge was more important. you're so dedicated to your cause that it starts to take a toll on you physically and mentally.

⏤ venom!reader: you turn more and more villainous as you take away the lives of all the people standing in your path of revenge. you've become a blood-thirsty anti-hero, feeding your parasite human brains and yourself the blood of your enemies. you're getting closer and closer to your goal, but at what cost? the lives of so many that you've lost count? innocent and guilty—you're losing your ability to differentiate. blood, guts, and revenge are the only things on your deranged mind.

⏤ venom!reader: you keeps pushing the brewing situation away until you're running away from the very heroes and villains that are after you. you're like a ghost with how you've disappeared, but it seems like no matter where you run to, you're enamored admirers will always find you.

Princess- Bakugo x Reader

Bakugo x Support Course Shoto's Twin Sister Reader (Pt.3)

<- Previous Pt.2

Summary: Time has passed, and Bakugo gauntlets are almost done. However, due to a Todoroki family argument, Y/n decides she needs a break from her family by focusing on completing the gauntlets sooner.

"The USJ? Like Universal Studios USJ?" your older sister Fuyumi questions you're twin brother.

"No, it's a training facility we're going to. Apparently, All might and another pro are coming to see us and how we perform, " Shoto says calmly. Your older sister has made a habit of forcing both of you to talk about your day.

You lazily eat your food, hoping Fuyumi can squeeze more out of Shoto rather than pestering you. You're day always seemed uneventful compared to you brother. Unfortunately for you, Shoto didn't have anymore words to spare; giving you the spotlight.

"How about you Y/n, does you're class have anything planned? Anything exciting." Fuyumi smiles warmly.

"Not really. I'm almost done with those gauntlets I've been working on. So I might get graded on that soon."

"That's great, I'm sure that student is excited for thier new gear. You're going to definitely pass" Fuyumi says trying to make do with all the silence.

"Oh, they definitely won't stop nagging me, that's for sure." You remember all the texts and in-person conversations you've had with Bakugo that always started with "Wheres my shit at?".

If he's not pestering you at the cafeteria, then he's found you hiding away in the support classroom to eat.

You almost feel bad for not having anything to say but you can't get past the old Fuyumi that has side against you for simply loving the only parent that'll look at you, to the one trying to make amends now.

"Listen... I think the both of you should visit mom some time soon. Her recovery is doing really well, and it might help her if she saw the two of you more." Fuyumi says hesitantly; causing you to drop your utensil down.

"I'll think about it" "No thank you" come out of the two of you simultaneously.

"Y/n come on please, can you try and make the effort." Fuyumi pleads.

"Why would I make the effort for someone who could barely stand me. Hell, I'm pretty sure I learned to crawl faster than  Shoto cause she couldn't bear picking me up." You spat.

"That's not her fault and you know it." Shoto defends his mother. "You know the reason why she struggled." He says in his dull tone.

You scoff. "Well, it isn't my fault I was born identical to Dad. But hey, at least my quirk allows me to fix that, huh? I'm doing all of you a favor, I guess." You say standing up, grabbing your plate to put away.

"Y/n that's not what-"

"Thank you for the food Fuyumi it was delicious. Sorry I soured the mood." You interrupt her. Not wanting to cause any more issues, you headed to your room.

Forgiving never came easy to you. I mean, how could it. Everything little remark or digust they have for actually giving thier dad the time of day really did a number on your mental health and how you act today.

It hards to accept how Fuyumi cares now all of a sudden to include dad, while she made you feel horrible for loving him in the past.

Don't get it wrong, Enjj Todoroki is no saint and Y/n understands that her mother is not a monster. But, her father at least tried to make up for the lack of attention your mother gave to you while focusing on Shoto.

Endeavor was also the blame for the dynamic, but your mother never opposed it. They had agreed that he would take care of the one she couldn't bear looking at, and she'd make sure the boy is healthy.

Shoto was the focus for Endeavor; he pushed your mother's priorities towards him. After all, a boy with split hair had more quirk potential than you with just red. That was until your quirks came

Endeavor had ended up training both of you till exhaustion. However, only Shoto was consoled by their mother at the end of the day. Only Shoto was defended to take a break.

Just a child wanting to be loved by her parents. But she still had to be appreciative cause it was more than what her older siblings get to have. But still.

Guess the death of Touya, and your mother being put away, really made it easy for your father to accept that you didn't want to be a hero and you found it more enjoyable to make gadgets.

After all, you remind him so much of his first son that saying no to your passion would be doing Touya a dishonor. At least Shoto was still interested in being a hero, not for your father but to show him he doesn't need his fire quirk. Maybe that's why Shoto gave you a hard time with you using yours.

You sigh into your pillow, contemplating Fuyumi suggestion. You wanted to try. So bad. But then again, if your mother really wanted to make amends, then wouldn't she try and contact you.

You toss in your bed, groaning in frustration. You inevitably grab your phone before typing.

'You busy tomorrow? I heard you're going to a training facility soon. I can get your gauntlets done this weekend, but only if you have a place I can use my quirk safely.'

Maybe you shouldn't have texted the aggravating blonde, but you could use his nagging as a distraction for at least the weekend.

You wait a little before you hear a notification go off.

'The old hag said we can use the metal shed in the back. Or is that not up to your standards, princess?' You read out. The nickname catching you off guard with pink cheeks, but you know he's only mocking your social status. (As if he didn't mention his parents are wealthy designers in an attempt to not feel inferior by you.)

'You're lucky I spent too much time on your gauntlets to melt them to a metal sheet just for that comment asshole.'

How do they behave in the face of your pregnancy?

Midoriya Izuku

- The first action Izuku did when he found out about your pregnancy was to let out big tears of joy, he hugged you with so much love for the new life you have in you.

- He always calls you at the time of his patrols to know if you are feeling well and if you need something for him to buy it for you, it makes you tender at his action of always being helpful to you.

- When he arrives after a day of surveillance, the first thing you do is kiss your forehead and unconsciously he puts his big hand on your belly where his future child is growing, feeling the warmth of his hand on your belly gives you so much peace.

- He always cares when you were in the famous ascos in your first 3 months of pregnancy, he would gently caress your back while you were feeling pretty bad, you appreciated those moments of support in front of you and your poor stomach.

- He goes out of his way to be at your gynecologist appointments, even if it means escaping his patrols and his phone won't stop ringing.

- He fulfills your cravings, although sometimes he worries when you ask for extravagant things, he doesn't judge you, he just gets tender and a little nervous about the combinations you make.

- When you sleep Izuku always kisses you with all his love and hugs you gently for fear of crushing you.

Todoroki Shoto

- He was nervous about the news that they were going to be parents, he was afraid to be like Endeavor, but you calmed him down, saying that they can make mistakes, but from that they will learn, they will never stop supporting each other.

- He was reading all the books about pregnancy and parenthood, how to support you in everything, for you that was very adorable and reminded you of how you fell in love with that serious and kind boy.

- Always when the two of you slept, Shoto was always looking out for you, for any discomfort or craving you might have, for you it is cute and funny to see how he rushes out when he goes to buy the craving he gave you in the middle of the night, (mostly it was cold soba).

- When he broke the news to his family that they were going to be parents, he was very nervous about how his family would react, but everything turned out well and it reassured Shoto to know that he has the support of his siblings and parents.

- He likes to spend on everything he sees cute for his baby, no matter how much it costs, you see it and it's already in your hands.

- When it's your gynecologist appointments he always accompanies you, he holds your hand when you have the ultrasound in his mind it's to calm your nerves, but he is the nervous one.

- After a very hectic day of going out, the first thing he does is help you sit down and massage your tired feet, he always has creams for leg pain near the room.

Bakugo Katsuki

- A big, smug smile was on his face all day when he found out about your pregnancy, he kept bragging to all the "extras" that he would be the best father in the world.

- Katsuki, being one of the most recognized heroes in all of Japan, was always careful not to leave you alone, no matter the circumstances.

- He always went to every appointment with you at the gynecologist, making sure you felt safe and at ease.

- All the baby's clothes are from his hero merchandise, he would not let his baby wear clothes from other extras (heroes) because for him they are not worthy for his future child to wear that kind of clothes.

- To you, Katsuki would always hold you gently by the waist, giving you soft and loving kisses thanking you for expanding his family and saying how great you were.

- If you had a craving, Bakugo would make it for you, preferring to make you the food you were craving before buying it for fear that it would hurt you and just to prove that he was the best cook.

- If you get tired don't be scared when Katsuki picks you up and carries you in his arms, you are a little embarrassed, but he knows you love to get up and take you home like this.

The 6 chapter epilogue moves to 'end' the Tododrama this chapter leaving a divided fandom...

For me I think that given the story the Todorokis have had up to this point it both makes sense and is the best we could have hoped for. I'm not one hundred percent happy with it, but I defiantly don't view as negatively as a lot of people seem to.

First off Touya dying makes sense and this is perhaps harsh but I hope he does. People theorizing that the mysterious Tenko like figure is Shigaraki and he will heal him and the rest of the LoV with his restored Overhaul powers is insane to me. With only four chapters left idk how that would even be covered or concluded, since even if they were healed they would all still be put in prison--it wouldn't erase the fact Touya killed 30 innocent people by his own omission. So, how Hori would cover that kind of plot in a cohesive way in four chapters is beyond me. It's pretty much people wanting a worse story because they want their favorite character to live.

Also, I'm a bit frustrated that yet again people are acting like Enji should die instead and making wild accusations based on nothing. Namely that Touya dying supposedly soonish negates Enji saying he'll watch him and his death will let him off the hook so to speak.

Enji has shown that he really loves Touya and feels immense guilt and rightful responsibility for how he treated him and his the rest of the family. Touya dying doesn't suddenly heal his permanently crippled body or give him back his Hero job. It will only make him feel worse. Also it's not as if once Touya is gone he'll ignore the rest of his family either. He still owes them as well, and will probably try to help them in whatever way he possibly can.

People acting as if Touya's death will free him or that afterwards he'll go on with his life completely happy and forgetting about him is just not in any way accurate to what we've seen of his character.

The other thing I've seen floating around is the idea that if Enji had been killed off during the first PLF War, Shoto would have saved Touya and the family would have been happy in the end. I don't think that's true. I will admit I'm bias because I like Enji and I'm not a fan of Touya, but given how Hori seems to have delt with the LoV and villains in general (unless he pulls a 180 and heals them last min) I think Touya was always meant to end up dying slowly in a hospital or get some other bittersweet ending.

BNHA is not grimdark by any means but it is not the idealistic manga of the past like Naruto. Hori punishes characters that make bad choices no matter how understandable or even shitty the choices they had were. Aoyama, despite helping defeat Afo, being a child and under the threat of death to him and his family, still drops out of UA because he feels he still has to earn his place there. Bakugou dies and his heart and hand will never be the same, while also having to deal with the guilt of Izuku loosing his Quirk (if that sticks). Enji, even though trying to change and atone for most of the Manga's run is still left permanently crippled, the job that meant everything to him, lost, his legacy gone.

For Touya who killed so many people without care, only to get back and his father. Who plotted to kill his little brother despite knowing he was abused. Not caring if his plans got his other innocent family members killed. After everything we've seen with other characters who did far less wrong and tried hard to amend those mistakes getting harsh consequences, I doubt it was ever the plan to have Touya sitting at the table with his family eating his favorite food with a smile, regardless of Enji being alive or not. To suggest that Hori only had Shoto fail because Hori needed Enji to be involved just isn't true. If Hori wanted to give Touya a happy ending he would have--many fans have already come up with how that could have happened even with Enji still alive.

The only criticism I agree with is Rei's ending. You can defiantly read how she wheels Enji around and answers his phone as them being back together or in the very least her becoming his caretaker. Now, That might not be the case--she could just doing those things because they were both going to see Touya and she's just helping him out that day, while they actually live separately, with Enji having a paid home assistant that couldn't or wouldn't go with him to see Touya (because of the stigma or visiting regulations). The issue is that we just don't know for sure and Rei has been shafted pretty badly.

That said, I wasn't expecting much from/for her anyway. I think getting a little blurb about what she was doing like Natsuo and Fuyumi did would have helped, but I sort of doubt Hori had any idea what to do with her character outside being Enji's abused wife and Shoto's mom. With him rushing to get these last chapters out I'm not shocked he just stuck her in the background, especially when Enji and Shoto as secondary characters needed the screen time.

there's no special event really, but tonight you've decided to grace your father's prized restaurant turned dance club for the first time in months since you've formally stated that you no longer wanted to be tied to the mob. it's perhaps silly that you still show your face around here, and the security detail that knows your father well looks at you with a respectful but obvious surprise, but there's nowhere else that serves your favorite food like this particular establishment. in your red dress that clings to every one of your curves in the right way, it's a shame that you're not here with a date or even a friend but you have taken to exploring alone every so often, especially here, which might as well be the safest place on this end of tokyo.

sitting in the corner where one of your father's most trusted subordinates, takeo, can keep an eye on you, you have a meal, twirling pasta as you pore over a book. the live music from the dance floor on the other end is loud enough that it's hard to concentrate, but you make do. minutes pass, and in the corner of your eye, you can tell someone is watching you, and when you look up, you lock eyes with a young man who is studying you as much as you were studying your book. his features are soft enough that he doesn't look creepy, just curious, but you wonder why he is looking, and you only then notice that he does look somewhat odd, the burn scar comprising half his face offset by the dual tones of his hair, split straight down the middle.

it's okay, you've seen more complicated choices of hairstyle at this time. you offer him a smile, hoping to be polite at most, knowing takeo is closeby. he doesn't smile back, and when you turn away, feeling slighted, you sneak a glance back and realize that he's left.

you don't think much of the encounter until you see him again.

about a week later, this time flanked by two individuals who appear to be arguing with each other as they order a table for three. you sit in your usual spot in the back of the restaurant and watch carefully, remembering the odd tones in his hair and the way he watched you. the green-haired man next to him is trying to explain something on the menu to him, odd because he's clearly been here before, while the blonde-haired man is bored and has already started to disrespect your father's decor, resting his shoes on a fine leather chair.

he is also too loud.

you consider for a second that you should have them removed - you can do that, no one can stop you even if you try not to act spoiled - but the young man with the two-toned hair suddenly locks eyes with you again, and this time you're caught off guard because this time he smiles first.

you smile back, then find yourself embarrassed and nearly hide your face with your book, realizing that the coquettish action is even more embarrassing. that's when you notice that takeo and his two assistants are starting to whisper among themselves.

you normally would not care, but they are staring right at that table.

"you'd think they wouldn't come directly to our turf." takeo hisses into a walkie-talkie and the two of them move.

"these new gangs have no fucking respect, i tell ya."

turf? you think, and then you glance at your uncle advancing and then at them. yakuza? they can't be.

they can.

everything happens at once.

the second takeo's more burly right-hand man, a slightly unintelligent but earnest man named daiki shouts a "hey!", the blond-haired man has already kicked the table over and drawn his gun. the half-red, half-white haired man draws his too, sideways, and directly at the other subordinate trying to come from behind. the third of the group sighs, and shoves his hands in his pockets and almost like in a slight of hand, they are suddenly gleaming and armored.

"don't fucking take another step," the blond hisses. "why the fuck did you take us to dinner on enemy gang territory, shoto?"

shoto. you commit the name to memory.

"i forgot."

"you forgot?" the green-haired one repeats. shoto rolls his eyes.

"listen the food is good-"

takeo fires the first shot and shoto rolls out of the way, and it begins.

it's not a bloodbath outright, but there is pandemonium - screaming and broken glass and you, terrified, and ducking for cover, trying hard to remember what your parents and brother taught you. your older brother is not here, he's overseas. it's just you, alone.

a body is tossed across the room and you roll out of the way. you're as far from the exit as you possibly can be, and security seems to have forgotten about you, trying to deal with the active destruction. you're not sure if the three were sent explicitly to destroy the place, but that seems to be what's happening. the blonde-haired one seems to be enjoying pistol whipping as many people as approaches then shoots directly at the decorative cabinets letting wine and liquor flow and the green-haired one is amassing a pile of bodies behind him, a crazed smile on his otherwise slightly juvenile features.

you don't see shoto.

crawling backwards to find your phone and see if you can bring more backup, you hit something hard, and he's standing behind you.

you scream, but he's covered your mouth, and you are lifted out of the crossfire expeditiously, kicking and screaming. shoto kicks through a door and carries you in, setting you down finally at a stairwell.

your first impulse when he lets you go is to slap; he catches your wrist and gives you a look.

"calm down, i won't hurt you." he says.

you're heaving and tearing up, mascara running down your face.

"i don't make a good hostage, i've disowned my father, don't even try-"

shoto rolls his eyes, then lets go of your wrist.

"i only wanted to get you out of harm's way, actually. kidnapping isn't exactly my style although i can't say the same for my colleagues."

you swallow hard, confused.

"what?"

"you're pretty, i was planning to introduce myself today until... you know-" he waves to the carnage beyond the walls and flustered enough that you're almost lightheaded you whisper, "what?" again.

he gives a half-smile, sheepish, and you, disheveled and confused, feel like you've been sucked into an alternate reality. there's blood on his shirt that isn't his, and his clothing is torn; your makeup is smeared and you've stress sweat out of your dress.

you don't know each other, and yet he wishes he did know you.

your mouth falters but before you can say anything else, he hears his name called.

he cocks the gun in his right hand, and with one last look at you, he's gone.

His heavy breathing was loud as it echoed through the small closet room. He was cold as they had stripped him of his jacket six days ago and left him with only his shirt, jeans and socks. A thin yarn of a ripped up blanket was his only source of warmth, but that did little to help as he shivered.

Thanks to the cloth binded around his eyes, Shoto had been kept in the dark even when he ate as they would feed him scraps as well as giving him water though the liquid would mostly drip down his chin, gathering around the hem of his shirt. 

His hands were also tied behind his back though it wasn’t as tightly as he suspected. In all honesty, it felt like he was being cared for as whoever would bring him food took their time in giving it to him. 

He would have been alarmed and he is, but a part of him suspected it was his eldest brother, Touya, though he now went by Dabi. The younger male has tried to have his caregiver speak to him, but all he was met with was silence. 

He was left with his thoughts everyday. There were times where he wanted to cry as all he could think about was his mentor dying, his friend dying, and lastly, his family. Being alone had memories of which he thought he sealed away come back up. 

The face of his mother’s bloody face, his brother's corpse, his sister being eaten alive and his father being gunned down. He was alone and he hated being alone. He wanted someone to be here with him, someone to hold him and tell him everything was going to be okay. 

He wanted his mother. He desperately wanted her. He just wanted to go back to his family, his dysfunctional family. But even then, he was still alone.

The door was suddenly banged on, causing the restless male to jump as he had no idea what was going on. The door hinged open and the male was yanked to his feet where he was then shoved forward, a tight grip on his arm was the only thing keeping him in place. 

He was rather annoyed at being pushed, but he wouldn’t comment as he needed to hear his surroundings. A few people were chattering, laughing, and doors were opening. He could slightly see through the dark cloth since the bridge of his nose had left a small opening. 

He squinted as he looked through it, trying to get a clear image of what he was looking at. He knew he was still inside the building as he could feel the cold floor underneath his clothed feet. There were times where he slipped due to how fast he was walking though he was quickly yanked back to his feet.

He then felt himself stop moving and a door in front of him could be heard opening. Through the same small opening, he could tell he was being moved outside as the sunlight peeked through. His feet ached as he went down some stairs and onto some gravel. He needed a break but he doubted he’d get that as his grunts made no effort.

He then heard rattling and he was then shoved to his knees as he was sure they were scrapped due to the rocks underneath him. His attention was then caught to the sounds of snarls, his sense was on high alert and he tried to get up though he was harshly pushed back down.

The snarls caused him to panic but he kept it under control, letting out heavy breaths. As he did so, from the other side of the gate, Tomura walked with Dabi by his side, a mischievous glint in his eye as they both looked at the younger male, sitting in the middle of the surrounded gates with tied up rotters trying to get him, “Family is important, afterall.”

Dabi’s eye twitched as he could see his brother almost about to be devoured. He kept calm as he knew Tomura wanted to get a reaction out of him and the raven male wasn’t going to let that happen.

The man in charge grinned as he looked at his men and nodded. The two men understood and quickly grabbed Dabi, disarming him and dragged him inside the gates ignoring the yells that came out of him and where they then shoved him towards Shoto and lastly closing the gates behind them.

The older brother quickly got on his feet, undid Shoto’s binds and looked at Tomura, “Is this what you want!?”

Shoto groaned due to the sun blinding his eyes as they had been covered for days. He let his eyes get used to the sunlight, but his eyes widened as he glared at the rotters in front, “What the hell is going on!?”

Tomura once again nodded to his men. The same ones who shoved Dabi let the ropes that were tied to the dead go. The dead now had free range and they aimed straight to the brothers who quickly got in position to defend themselves. 

“Act cool, alright?” Dabi quietly spoke so only Shoto could hear, “I’ll get us out of this.”

Shoto scoffed, his eyes never leaving the dead, “Like you did last time?”

“Keep your shit cool.” Dabi huffed out.

Tomura laughed as one of the dead almost grabbed Dabi’s clothes, “Stay alive and maybe I’ll think about not killing you! Hell, maybe I’ll keep you both!”

When the first rotter approached Dabi, the taller male grabbed its arm, not letting the fact the arms were mushy bother him as the male held onto it tightly then lifted his leg to kick it’s stomach. The rotter fell back, its arms were disconnected as Dabi held it. He then broke both of the arms in half, the crunching caused Shoto’s eyes to briefly glance his way.

He was disgusted, “What are you doing?”

Dabi pulled a bone out and passed it to him, “Getting us out alive.”

The bloody bone felt uncomfortable in Shoto’s hand. He wanted to throw it away and shake his hand so the feeling of it would disappear. He could also feel a bit of flesh that clung onto it. He honestly felt like he wanted to cut his hand off right after. 

A dead snarling brought Shoto back as the male wasted no time in sticking the bone through the eye socket. He yanked it back out, shoving the rotter into the arms of another as a different dead quickly came up to him. He proceeded to do the same, though this time stabbing it through the side of the head, just above the ears. 

He regretted it instantly as blood squirted everywhere, getting on his already dirty shirt. He grimaced, wanting to wipe his face, “Can’t you tell him to stop!?”

Dabi grunted as he killed one then shoving it away, “Don’t you think I would have done that by now!?”

“It’s your damn people!” Shoto angrily said as he could feel himself getting tired as it seemed the dead were too stubborn to die.

Dabi scoffed and mutter underneath his breath to where only he could hear himself, “As if I had a fucking choice.”

Before Shoto could manage to kill another one, bullets came flying at them. They both lifted their hands to protect their head as they stayed down trying to not let a bullet hit them. One had managed to graze Shoto’s arm and he let out a hiss as he could feel his blood gliding down his arm. 

Tomura let out a laugh as his rifle had run out of ammo. He killed the remaining rotters and signaled his men to open the gates and let the brothers out, unkindly. For now, he would keep Shoto as he was a collateral to Sorston. As long as the male was within his reach, Sorston had everything to fear as Tomura was sure Nezu didn’t want any of his people dying.

He walked towards them, his boots crunching on the skull of the dead. He maliciously grinned as he placed a hand on the younger male, a glint in his eyes as he spoke, “Welcome to your new family!”

Dabi eyed them as he wiped his nose to remove the rotter's blood. There was a moment where he envisioned himself, months ago, standing in the same spot with that same glare and being drenched in blood. 

He had no choice but to stay as if anyone were to leave; they'd be hunted down and be on display for everyone to see. He had to play the long game, waiting for the right moment and that moment came as Dabi stared at his younger brother.

Ask game where izuku time travel and somehows saves hawks which leads for massive hero worship of him

1- izuku is yeeted backwards through time and crashes outside the shanty Tomie and Keigo lived in. Tomie hides and, curious, Keigo peaks outside to see a darkly costumed hero in a torn cape and cowl sparking lightning and spasming bits of darkness. he thinks that is very cool but also probably dangerous, ready to fly off.

Izuku, who looks around and has no idea where he is, sees the shack and heads closer to try and see if anyone is there and can tell him where he is

2- Tomie freaks and grabs Keigo to run, but Izuku is able to pretty easily catch up and pull out his hero license, apologizing for the scare and getting halfway through asking where he is when he stops because either Hawks has a secret lovechild that Shoto and Fumikage are going to go crazy about, or, this kid is just Hawks. which means he's time traveled. And he knows exactly what's going to go down, how the commission botches the war arc, leading him directly to the runnaway arc he was in the middle of- not to mention Keigo is like, six years old right now and looks just like all the other small kids Izuku's helped before.

3- Izuku is like "Hey, actually, can i like, buy you some food? or we can go to a safehouse? from your villain husband/father that i know about?" and that spooks Tomie enough that she tells Keigo to fly away as fast as he can, but he comes back in under a minute to help her, only to see Izuku letting her go back inside the house, and muttering to himself about how to help them.

He could try to hunt down All Might, but he doesn't know if his number is the same this far back, or the ramifications of dealing with time, or if Gran Torino will believe him, or if his teacher has even started at UA at this point, and Keigo lands and says he sounds like he knows a lot of heroes.

Danger Sense didn't warn Izuku and he's startled, but nods, saying the problem is a lot of them don't know him yet.

4- Izuku thinks about it for a while with the vestiges as he takes Keigo into town and brings food back to the home for dinner, figuring out what he should do because none of them know what to do about time travel. Eventually, he decides to take Third's advice- he doesn't know any heroes that will believe him or can risk causing a paradox with, but he does know a hero he can blackmail whose life choices he probably can't make any worse.

To say that Endeavor is surprised when some stranger waving a hero license in the air and carrying two civilians with his quirk lands in his front yard is an understatement.

5- Izuku gets Enji to talk with him in his office while he shoves Tomie and Keigo at Rei and the three todokids, telling him everything- that he's from the future, that he can prove it with a lot of information that he really shouldn't have and a very legit license from the future, and that if Izuku is about right about when he time traveled, Rei is very recently pregnant with Shoto so Enji better get it together before Touya tries to kill the infant threatening to replace him as central piece in the mini eugenics experiment he decided to run. He tells him off for caring about the ranking system more than the reason heroes exist, warns him that he should probably see if he can stop the commission from training the kid they currently are training to be their super illegal and immoral assassin before she snaps and kills the president, and then decides 'oh what the hell, predictions of death have been great motivators in mine and All Might's experience!' and tells Enji that unless he wants to be killed by a quirk affected Shoto minutes after killing Touya, he'll prevent that future by changing things right now.

Izuku leaves the office with a stunned Enji and announces that Endeavor oh so kindly offered to make sure that Tomie and Keigo have safe housing and food. He ruffles Keigo's hair, tells him that he should be proud of working so hard to improve his quirk so quickly that he's practically faster than Izuku, who was so bad with his quirk originally that it was out of control and broke his own bones, recommends Touya look into Sheild Industries for support tech, waves at a shy Fuyumi, and then slips the kids a phone number for absolute emergencies with the passcode 'one for all' written on it. Then he leaves.

Keigo watches him go and announces that he must be the greatest hero ever, and Keigo is going to be just like him one day.

Touya takes offense since obviously Endeavor is the greatest hero and then Touya will be. Keigo looks at the still stunned Enji, then back at the very cool multi quirk silhouette, and decides that Touya's tastes cannot be trusted.

+1- Several years later, Endeavor watches the sports festival and pulls out his phone, calling Touya and only saying "no" because he knows that Touya is also watching and seeing the bone breaking kid who looks just like the hero from ages ago. Touya protests that he didn't want the kid for internships anyway, just thought he must be that old heroe's son. Enji goes 'nah, it's him, before he time traveled' and does not elaborate even as Touya asks if he's joking. Keigo is already filing the paperwork for the internship, and says he already knew that, because Izuku muttered a lot- but he's not going to let him vanish without a word this time! not to mention, his agency is going to be the one to make the first official merch that Keigo has been dying to collect for over a decade now. Touya questions Keigo's tastes, and Izuku ends up picking another agency.

Enji: I honestly can't imagine a father worse than me.

Izuku: ...You want to learn something that should be a state secret?

Honestly the sad part is that Enji can 100% imagine fathers worse than him like.

That was.

I'm gonna go into this once or twice in Road to Hell, but part of the reason Enji doesn't really click into how bad he's being is that he knows for a fact that there are worse parents out there!

He knows there are parents who don't care about their children at all. Who resent them, hate them. Treat the children like slaves if they're given anything at all. Abandon them. Beat them just for the hell of it and/or make up excuses to do so. Manipulate their self worth into nothing. Keep them dependent so they'll never leave. Destroy their dreams and never give them a choice of what they want. Not to even get into parents who abuse their children sexually!

But he's not doing that, right? His kids are well taken care of and safe. Sure he's a little busy but it's not like they're helpless babies they're old enough to get food from the kitchen without setting the house on fire. Physical discipline for major rule breaking is fine, right? That's what his father did and he turned out perfectly fine! He might be crushing Toya's dreams of being a Hero, but he has to to keep him safe! He'd encourage and enable literally any other career choice! Same with Fuyumi and Natsuo, whatever career! They don't have the problems like Toya so if they had wanted to be Heroes they would! Sure Shoto might be a bit pressured to be a Hero, but Shoto wants to be a Hero anyway! All Enji is doing is helping him, right? And god forbid if something did happen to him on the job, they'd be able to function as independent people rather than flounder without him.

Sure he may have had some fuckups, but he's not awful, right? Surely his kids being upset at him is just teen rebellion or something. Maybe a touch of stubbornness which really is his own fault, but they'll surely

And when he sees kids in bad situations, he's furious on their behalf. How dare anyone treat a child this way? What kind of monster would do so?

Ofc intention doesn't cancel out the harm, and Enji /does/ eventually realize that he's been so many kinds of awful. But it's also a disconnect for a while.

MY HERO ACADEMIA, CHAPTER 375 THOUGHTS

Right before Toga disappears we see Uraraka express regret that they still haven’t talked about love. This also parallels Shoto’s attempts to get Toya to stay with him rather than go after Endeavor. However, I think it’s important to remember that neither of them were actually trying to talk that much with Toga and Toya before that point. This is just as much a regret that they didn’t get the opportunity to talk, as it is a taunt to keep both Toga and Toya fighting with them so they can stay and be defeated. Which shows why the kids failed to keep them there, and also the butterfly effect that created this situation. More under the cut. 

1. The Butterfly Effect

It’s significant that the flames from Toya and Shoto’s fight, as well as Endeavor’s is what’s referred to as changing the weather so significantly that it’s brought about a sudden rain event. Afo goes on to add that it’s the emotions of Spinner that the heroes underestimated that allowed the villains to change the tide and create the right circumstances for the sad man’s parade. 

Endeavor, Enji, and Toya’s flames have always been a metaphor for their feelings, Toya is implied to have kept himself alive through a pure blazing grudge, Enji’s habit of overheating is a metaphor for his destructive and violent nature, Shoto has difficulty controlling his flame side because he has trouble reintegrating his father’s childhood abuse into who he is currently and trying to grow up as his own person. 

Toy’s blue flames are powered by his emotions, the quirk evolution that turned his flames blue happened when he started crying, the flame that burned him alive and started an entire forest fire happened again when he was crying. 

So flames = emotions, the emotions of everyone involved in this fight is so significant it’s literally changing the weather, and to top them all off, Spinner’s feelings have changed everything.

The current situation like a butterfly flapping its wings, is created by the feelings of one individual, and Hero Society as a whole has the habit of trampling on individuals in order to uphold the greater good of society. It is essentially the logic that Hawks used to justify the killing of Twice, he as an individual couldn’t be allowed to live because of the threat his quirk presented to all of society. 

All of this a long prelude to, before the fights itself not only have the villains made multiple attempts to have those feelings understood, and the kids have expressed interest in trying to understand what those feelings are. 

However, it’s incredibly important that at the same time, those same kids have then repeatedly tried to squash any attempt to sympathize with the villains they have inside of themselves, by remdining themselves of the destruction the villains have. Deku and Uraraka both mention seeing Toga and Shigaraki’s crying face, Shoto mentions he literally knows nothing about Toya even his favorite food. 

Then they immediately go back to squashing those thoughts. It’s important to realize the kids are actively trying not to sympathize with the villains, because it’s easier to just see them as villains and clears doubt from their head. This idea of crying is brought up by Toya too “whether you’re crying or smiling doesn’t matter”, the deeper meaning of that statement is that the people they are fighting against just don’t really care about what face that they are showing the world. Remember, Hawks actively dehumanized Toya’s mourning of Twice his friend, by insisting he couldn’t care because he was smiling even though Dabi literally cannot biologcally cry due to his burn wounds. The outside world just doesn’t care what kind of emotions they’re having, so might as well be strong and show a smile. 

All of this to say, the villains right now are the individuals the butterfly effect is referring too, they have continually been pushed down and insisted their personal grievances of society doesn’t matter because they are threats to the whole of society. But the butterfly effect statement reflects what Toya says to Hawks. A single person with a single conviction has the power to save the world. The collective isn’t all that exists, individuals are still important. 

All of this to say, the feelings of all the individual villains matter. All of the attempts to shut them up for the sake of the collective good have only backfired. We see this pattern repeated, Shoto, Uraraka, and Deku express an interest in what the villains feel only to just resort to physical violence. 

However, they never even act on their expressed interest to talk. Shoto asks Toya why he didn’t come home, and then proceeds to beat the crap out of him. Uraraka tells Toga she’s been thinking about her, and then proceeds to beat the crap out of her. Deku asks if Shigaraki is still there in the body possessed by AFO, but then doesn’t do anything else but beat the crap out of him. 

It’s not even that the villains didn’t reciprocate, Toya said very clearly that he still wanted to come bac home after being burned alive and only gave up when he thought his family had moved on without him, Toga was still trying to ask Deku to understand her and even says aloud that heroes are the only ones they count as real people and villains aren’t even considered human. Shigaraki breaks free from AFO’s control a couple of time and shows clear distress. 

Which is why I want to clarify, the villains themselves are giving clear hints that they don’t actually want to destroy, Toga hints she wants acceptance more than revenge against Hawks and the heroes, Toya makes it clear that there’s still a part of him that wants to go home (he literally tried to) Shigaraki still exists within AFO-Garaki. It’s the kids themselves that didn’t try to show them there was still a chance for things to go different, the plan wasn’t to talk to them ever the plan was to beat them up.Which is where we get to this chapter.

This isn’t an attempt to get them to talk, this is an attempt to get them to stay and fight. In fact during the Uraraka fight itself Urarka didn’t try to talk to Toga at all, the plan wasn’t try to de-escalate or try to understand Toga the plan was to sick a bunch of heroes on her at once and then... beat the crap out of her.

It’s even confirmed in the chapter itself, Toga’s incredibly impulsive and emotoinal, she’s not really a long term strategy or big picture girl. Yet, she survives in the fight despite being vastly outnumbered because she had to. It was the heroes attempts to just beat Toga down that forced her evolution and made her into a more cunning villain. A different strategy would have probably thrown her off of her game, but Uraraka had all the time in the world and didn’t even try it. 

Which is why the one hope the heroes might have right now is Uraraka getting thrown into the combat scenario with Toya, Enji, AFO, HAwks and now Toga. As none of those heroes except for Uraraka have ever expressed any interest in talking in the past. 

However, part of me wonders if Uraraka herself is going to have to actually question and challenge the adults present in order to actually get the character development where she acts on her feelings and desire to talk. (The feelings you’ve locked up inside...) those feelings are the only chance to turn the tides. THe feelings of one crying girl (Himiko Toga) have created this disaster, and the comfort given to one crying girl can be what stops it... 

However, I want to keep in mind that there is a reason all the kids have been suppressing their desire to talk with the villains, and that is their hero worship of the previous generation. Hawks makes it clear what he wants to do to Toga now that Twice is back (Kill her). The kids so far haven’t questioned the wisdom of the adults so far and that is what directly has led to repeating their mistakes. After all, Toya is here because SHoto agreed that despite Enji being the one who abused Toya, it was totally okay for him to have to skip any kind of confrontation with Toya and just leave all the responsibility up to Shoto. 

Toya bee lined to Enji, because Enji abandoned him for like the six millionth time. Toga herself, wants to target Hawks, because Hawks expresss no remorse over Jin’s death at all and given the chance would kill him again. Toga wants to fight Hawks, because she’s said several times Jin was someone important to her and his death is something she is still reeling from and mourning, and not even a single kid hero seems to question the fact that Jin was murdered in cold blood and Hawks the murderer went free. Toga pretty much told Uraraka to her face that Jin was someone incredibly important to her, and then later on that heroes just don’t see villains as people and Uraraka herself saw the broadcast that Hawks murdered Jin when his back was turned. Nobody else has acknowledged that Jin doesn’t deserve to die (not Uraraka and not Tokoyami) and therefore Toga’s grief for him is completely invalidated. 

Like, yes I think Toga killing Hawks and continuing the cycle of revenge would only make things worse. However, in the eyes of the heroes and even the kids (Uraraka and Tokoyami) Hawks did not do anything wrong in killing Jin. There’s no way the cycle of abuse can be stopped, if the cause of that abuse isn’t even addressed in the first place. 

Which is why the kids have to disavow the elders. They are the reason so far the kids haven’t been able to act on their desire to talk. Every time the kids have expressed a desire to talk, they completely squash it, and despite thinking they might be able to talk these people down they go along with the plans of the adult heroes that are essentially “Beat ‘em up.” Shoto decides to go along with Enji’s plan to just leave Toya entirely to Shoto, and abandon him yet again. Deku wants to save Shigaraki, and yet he builds a floating coffin and death trap in the sky with all the adults and just pummels him. Uraraka wants to talk to Himiko and yet the plan for fighting her is essentially just to have several heroes against one girl until she’s too exhausted to either run away or fight back. 

The kids have expressed an interest so far, but they haven’t changed. This chapter is about the power of the individual, the only way the world is going to change is if the kids stop going along with everything the adults tell them and learn to think for themselves.

Izuku is found and rescued from a vault deep in the warehouse in Kamino. He is shy, defensive and confused about everyone but especially Shoto. Who as far as he knows is a stranger who is being suspiciously kind and accommodating to him for no reason. The only time someone has been kind to Izuku is because they want something or want his submission. And then there's Shoto who without asking makes sure he's alright, cooks food he thinks he likes, or introduces Izuku to music he's never heard of before but falls in love with and just is gentle with him.
