synopsis: shosei’s been missing you for so long that his frustrations are revealed while drunk at a get-together with his other members. ⌙ 1.7k

(or ohira shosei is a very sappy drunk.)

getting drunk on a random friday night with all his members at one of their apartments was not on shosei’s bucket list. despite all that, what was even worse was the fact keigo and shion began coaxing him into drinking more and began to tease all his funny actions.

but the worst part of all was that you weren’t there.

the group’s schedules had been too full for him to even take a glimpse of your pretty face just once. so his intense longing for you seeped in the more liquid courage trickled down his throat. it’d been two weeks and three days since he’d last heard the melodious tone of your voice paired with your face. shosei yearned to feel your touch again.

“i miss my girlfriend.” he mumbled to himself pitifully, which had caught the attention of the others.

“what?” junki repeated in confusion, unsure whether he had heard correctly.

shosei had always been such a lightweight, it made sense because he was never this sappy while sober.

a frown tugged at his lips, “i miss my girlfriend.” he huffed louder. “i miss her so much. i love her so much.”

this prompted a majority of the members in the room to chuckle at the man’s words — keigo specifically had even swiftly whipped out his phone and begun recording amidst the ruckus. even shion and mame cheered whilst two others — shosei was too wasted to recognise who, but he could make out takumi and sukai?? — whom started the rounds again, pouring more liquor into everyone’s glasses.

shosei perks his head up doe-like, confused. “i need to see her now. but i can’t, because i��m gonna say — i’ll fuck up everything.” he paused before holding out his cup. “do you guys think i should tell her?”

“tell her what?” one of the eleven queried.

“that i love her. we haven’t said that to each other yet. i’m so scared of ruining this, like everything else. but we’re made for each other. i want to be hers forever.”

“put the phone down.” sho — the only sensible, and still very much sober one — sighed heavily at the tall dancer’s immaturity. “i think shosei’s had enough, i’ll drive him.” before helping shosei up, the man shot you a quick text that he was dropping shosei off at yours.

wrapping yourself in a random hoodie you found, moments later after receiving the message, you stepped outside your home to wait for any sign of them.

it didn’t take long for you to notice the glimmer of sho’s car before he parked. you took quick steps towards it as the older man went to the passenger side to help your boyfriend out.

upon seeing the state of him, you tutted loudly.

“what the hell? how much did you drink?” shosei only hummed in response as the other man helped him out.

“hello, my pretty girlfriend!” he slurred happily, opening his arms out to you.

“do you need me to help you take him inside?” the older man interrupted hesitantly, a brow arched.

you shook your head. “no, but thank you for bringing him safely.” he nodded before climbing back into the car and driving away.

“come on, shosei.” an exasperated sigh left your mouth as his arm wrapped around your neck while helped him into your house. the groans and whines that resounded from your boyfriend only made you huff as you mentally cursed your luck. and it certainly didn’t make it better that he was mumbling to himself, interrupting your train of thought.

once you were both inside the front door, you laid him on a sofa before taking a seat down next to him. a hand covered your forehead before you shut your eyes to regain your breath.

“why did you have to drink so much?” you chided him sternly. “i thought you’d be one of the responsible ones. we gotta get to bed, you’re wasted.”

shosei perked his head from the couch before sitting up. there was a faint tinge of red littering his cheeks as he shot you the most serious look he could manage.

your brows furrowed as he spoke, “i have a girlfriend.”

“what?”

“yeah! she’s really pretty and funny. so you should… back off.” he spoke slowly, not wanting to choke on his words. “i’m a taken man.”

by now, a grin adorned your face subconsciously as he waved his arms about.

“oh, i don’t think i quite heard you. could you repeat that?”

irritated, the man ruffled his hair as he glared at you boldy. it was really an adorable sight.

“i have a girlfriend waiting for me. and i love her.”

the giggles never stopped leaving you as you clutched your stomach, nearly doubling over. “oh my god. you absolute loser!” immediately after hearing your words, shosei focused his gaze on you. “did you just forget how you were clinging to me a while ago? i am your girlfriend. and i wouldn’t have let you go if i knew you were going to drink that much.” his eyes widened before softening.

“oh.”

“you know you’re a lightweight, shosei. but i can’t imagine how it got bad enough for you to not even recognise me!”

“yeah, but…” he trailed off, turning his body to face you, sitting crosslegged on the sofa. shosei’s hands came to cup your cheeks. “i missed you. and i wanna now now if you did too!” classic shosei. changing the topic.

your boyfriend was never one to be very confident in expressing affection. but it all made sense that he would be now.

you couldn’t help but smile. “of course i did. we have to get ready for bed, you know.”

you felt him intertwine his hands with yours.

“that’s too much work.”

“i’ll help you. i know your skincare routine is really tedious.”

nodding enthusiastically, his face lit up.

minutes later, there you both were, cooped up in the bathroom; while you sat on the sink as your boyfriend stood in front of you. lathering the face wash in your hands, you got to work gently rubbing it in his cheeks, slowly making your way up to his forehead.

several incessant hums escaped shosei’s lips whilst analysing your face. the way your lips were pursed in full concentration coaxed a grin to play on his face. to the man, you really were perfect. in every way.

“wash your face, we’re nearly done.” unbeknownst to you, the sudden command snapped him out the — well appreciated — trance he’d fallen victim to in that moment. nevertheless, he still complied joyously.

upon returning in between your legs, he observed lovingly as you fished out a petite and shiny bottle out of the cupboard behind you. a serum. unscrewing the lid, you inched the dropper near his face and squeezed. your fingers padded it into his skin, making certain each and every area was paid attention too.

clasping your hands together, you exclaimed. “now…. done!”

“thank you, love.” you can tell shosei’s sobered up a tad as he fixed his half-lidded gaze on you. pecking his nose, you jump off the sink, leaving the bathroom for him to brush and change into some of clothes he’s left behind in your closet.

tucking yourself into the comfortable embrace of your bed, you heard the door of your room open. and seconds later, the bed dipped which prompted you to turn over and face your boyfriend.

“you look sleepy.” the words came out an unintelligible mumble, your eyes drooping.

a smile formed on his features. “so do you. good night, sleepyhead.”

“mhm. you’re going to regret drinking when we….” your words trailed off.

“when we what?” shosei questioned, but your light snores graced his ears, he chuckled to himself while his eyelids fluttered shut and slumber engulfed him steadily.

the morning sun only intensified the throbbing in the man’s head as he opened his eyes. glancing over to his left, only a reminder of your presence lay. the sheets were crumpled, and there was no sign of you. reluctantly, he got up and got ready for the day.

after a brushing and a quick shower, shosei quickly padded his way to your living room where he found you cozied up on the sofa, giggling with your phone in hand. upon hearing footsteps, you perked up and only grinned when you realised his presence. as you gestured for him to sit next to you, confusion etched his expression. what could be so funny?

“baby, you won’t believe what keigo’s just sent me!”

still perplexed, the man plopped down next to you before you shoved your phone in his face. from the thumbnail, he could make out that it was him? from the night before.

‘what?’ he thought to himself.

after pressing play, you only observed his face. the video showed shosei with several bottles of beer around him as he whined about missing you.

‘i love her so much!’ sounded out from your phone, which made cause his cheeks to turn red. embarrassment swelled in his chest, and his stomach churned.

you weren’t to supposed to hear that.

at the end of the video, you crossed your legs and faced him.

“say it.” your voice was stern.

“what? i’m not following.”

“say it — tell me what exactly what you said in that video last night. say it to my face.” you remarked.

“uh— but.”

a look of hurt flashed on your face at his words.

“oh. nevermi—“

“i love you.”

your eyes widened at the sudden confession. the realisation hadn’t seeped in, your heart beat quickened. your hands cupped his cheeks as you leaned over to peck his lips swiftly. pulling away, you smiled.

“i love you more.”

surprising jo1 with a birthday cake

syoya

this man would be elated, ecstatic, practically every word synonymous to ‘happy’ in the dictionary. syoya loves food so his girlfriend surprising him with a birthday cake definitely made his day.

there were smiles all around him while syoya thanked you profusely for taking the time to prepare the surprise for him.

so your boyfriend made sure to enjoy it to the fullest, taking big bites continually. the best part was when his cheeks would puff up, cake filling his mouth as he grinned sheepishly at you.

mame

it wasn’t necessarily a shock to him that you were making a birthday cake for him secretly because you asked all his members to get in on it. and they’re not the most subtle people. (the episode where they surprised him for his twentieth birthday)

but mame still forced a gasp when you did. he thought the prideful look on your face as well as the grin that adorned it was totally adorable.

he also very much indulges you, and plays along enthusiastically.

sukai

when you did surprise him, his facial expression did stay neutral so it brought your mood down for a while.

but that shifted when he embraced you, tightly wrapping you up in his arms while whispering so many words of praise to you sweetly.

the thought definitely moved him, because you cared that much to prepare and bake a whole cake for him. sukai’s so down bad, his soft expression when you wave over to him to join as you cut the cake would be made fun of by his members if they were ever there.

sho

just like sukai, he was extremely elated that he bombarded you with hugs and kisses. being leader meant that he barely had any time allocated to just relax and take care of himself but since you two started dating you took it upon yourself to do it all.

so it really made his day when you did surprise him. it always felt like the stress and problems disintegrated away when he was with you.

he loved how cute it was that you were determined in making him have the best birthday ever.

junki

probably the most visibly excited out of all the members. he’s quite hyper so when you finally took your hands off his eyes and he noticed the cake, junki turned to lift you up to spin you around in joy.

definitely gave you his phone so you could take thousands of photos of him per his request.

junki even began to sort of keeping you hostage; but it was his special day so you kept quiet. “let’s take another.” “no way! i’ve already taken, like, thirty..” “please!” “fine.”

keigo

definitely started peppering you with kisses on the cheek the second he saw it. it was cute that you had went all out for his birthday like this.

even when you whined back at faux disgust, he only retaliated by stealing a few more pecks.

this man really had you on his lap as he cut the cake, pleading for you to place your hand on his almost like you were getting married; “hopefully some time soon” he joked. and only fits of laughter filled the air as you caved in.

ruki

he’s the most calm, and collected about it out of his members, being an introvert and all.

when ruki’s eyes finally fell on the cake, the biggest smile erupted on his face. you don’t think you’ve ever heard him say ‘thank you’ so much in your life.

it also resulted in him clinging to you all day. ruki isn’t big on physical touch so it really surprised you. but like sukai, he heavily appreciated the thought that went into surprising him.

shion

alike with mame, shion too knew about your surprise for him. of course he would never tell you that. so when you finally jumped out at him behind the door while holding his cake, he tried his hardest to stifle the urge to laugh.

shion wanted to make you feel accomplished, but he would never tell you that.

he became very playful after you guys had cut the cake, even going far as using his finger to smudge icing on your nose; the pout on your expression after was too adorable to make him not coo.

shosei

another shy baby, smiling to the point where it was from ear to ear. shosei was also sort of giddy, impatient to wrap his arms around you and feel your warmth.

he understands the amount of care you’ve put into the cake, so he enjoys it happily, even feeding you some, and making you feed him.

also thanks you the whole time and starts to cling to you, littering kisses all over your face just because he can.

shosei doesn’t put as much emphasis on his birthday as much as you would’ve liked so you the prepared other surprised alongside the cake.

takumi

the cutest ever. tk is more vocal about his gratitude and hurries over to cut the cake, helping to give yourself and him a plate.

talks your ear off about what he did with his members on his special day while eagerly finishing his slice.

takumi thinks he’s boring you but you love how happy he looks when he rambles.

at the end of everything when you call to him, saying “kumi..” so softly, he feels like he could almost melt. and joins you to dance as you put on some music.

ren

also sort of calm about it all, but really excited in the inside. very impatient to actually taste the cake and thinks you did a great job.

but when you tell him that you’d do it only because you loved him, he swears he’s never had his heart flutter so much.

ren can’t even begin to explain how much he appreciates it all so resorts in becoming attached to you the whole time. the group has a really intense schedule most the time.

and it was nice to finally relax with you so he’s grateful. the day ended with you two all snug, cuddling and watching his favourite movie.
