You know, I really thought she was going to go for the Gwyneth Paltrow rich mom energy style after it made all the headlines just before summer (and after she was papped having lunch "with" GP). And for a while it looked like she was going in that direction, particularly for the stress patch papwalk, but then she dropped it for her idea of sporty casual for Invictus Games. (Probably because she was dragged the whole time for merching glam.)

But I must say, her sartorial choices for Invictus Games reminded me of Julia Roberts...again. It was a very Pretty Woman kind of wardrobe (in fact, Julia's character Vivian wears a shortsuit in the film) and a lot of Meghan's reactions and facial expressions even seemed to mimic Julia's own reactions and facial expressions except what comes across as enthusiasm and joy for Julia is obvious over-the-top over-acting for Meghan.

So I wonder - is Meghan really using Pretty Woman as her style inspiration when she needs to be seen as a down to earth American sweetheart? We saw her cosplaying the polo scene last summer with a hat and polka dots. Now she's cosplaying the shortsuit scene this summer. Her red Carolina Herrara dress even looked like Vivian's red gown (minus white gloves and slinky fit).

To me, it looked like she crashed Invictus. His smile was wiped out of his face when she showed up. She meant for Invictus to be her fashion show. It was a horror show instead. She has absolutely no fashion sense.
