adidas Pro Bounce Madness 2019 Core Black / Cloud White / Grey BB9239 Feeling great from the day before running in the #NikeAirPresto I felt ready to run in a pair of Basketball shoes. So on 16th June, I took my #adidasProBounceMadness2019 which is in my active rotation out for that 5 km. There is nothing much to really talk about this particular pair other then the word Madness in its name which brings back memories of #TMac unofficial signature shoe, the #adidasMadHandle from 2001. I loved playing in those as they not only looked sleek but traction was great and #AdiPRENE was one of the best foam back then. The mesh upper is comfortable and allows freedom of movement and has a supportive, cushioned collar for enhanced ankle support. You can really feel the height of the collar as it bites into your Achilles tendon from time to time during my run till I loosen the laces however I did not experience such an issue when I balled in them. This could be because of how we run during different sport. The Bounce midsole cushioning doesn't scream "Cushioned Ride" but it does it's job and is responsive with your strides. They are a pair that you put on, get's its job done without any complains nor has a wow factor. Yet this is the very magic of this pair of sneakers, I enjoyed my run and other than the early "collar bites" due to me lacing it tight like the usual when I balled, it does its job; no pains in the shin or my bad knee. My feet did not feel particularly warm and I felt stable throughout the whole 5 km. Lastly, the herringbone rubber outsole offers good traction and grip in general and allows you to suddenly weave and cut through the walking pedestrains at the pavements. Nike Air Presto Racer Blue (2016) 848132-401 Been absent for awhile and I did not even fulfill the "promise" to post the review on the alternative shoes I used for my runs. Pardon my tardiness my friends as I've been busy working to bringing something really exciting into the Local Basketball Community. So on 15th June, after getting my big toe bleeding all thanks to the #adidasCrazy98BYW I had to get into something really comfortable for my run this week and I remembered that I have these lovelies stashed away somewhere. I dug for them, got them out, gave it a good wipe and off onto the road with them. This 2016 pair was still great even after 4 years on. Born under the hands of #TobieHatfield, brother of the legendary Nike and Air Jordan designer #TinkerHatfield, in 2000 the #NikeAirPresto has earned it's reputation as one of Nike's most comfortable sneaker ever. The Nike Air Presto made to fit like a tee: distinctive, adaptive and super-flexible. Constructed with a dynamic mesh upper called "Spacer Mesh" that can flex and stretch like neoprene but without the heat gives the sneaker it's unique fit and sizing. I have always loved this model as it is top 3 in terms of the most forgiving uppers on a sneaker in my books. The midfoot cage which I feel is the inspiration for the #adidasUltraBoost offers lightweight support for an ultra-comfortable approach. Then the full-length Phylon midsole and Air-Sole heel unit provide soft cushioning, sat upon a Duralon outsole with reinforced rubber at the heel helps to provide the leisure ride for a good jog of less than 5km. Indeed by the time I was done, my feet feel great, ventilated and happy with the workout it got without the strains. I will recommend this pair should you want a pair that you can slip into anytime for that short jog or just gym time. The #adidas 98 x Crazy BYW I was ecstatic when they released and wanted them immediately. The #adidasKB8II or #adidasCrazy8II were #KobeBryant 2nd signature shoe with the three stripes and though I wasn't a big fan of his during then, this shoe model was a beast on court. The fit was great and the traction was top notch. So how does an upgraded version fare 20 years later? This 2018 pair was honestly great to play in and indeed the boost cushioning does it job well. However, after running in them, I remembered why I left them aside. The forefoot fit is horrid and very narrow unlike the original. It even made my toe bleed after the 5 km run. And just as many reviews posted before, the outsole rubber compound is so thin that after a few wears, it will be relatively worn out. In my instance, inclusive of this run, I have only worn them for 9 outings!! The last were 8 BBall sessions of 2+ hours each. For SGD 250/- theses are an atrocity irregardless of its history or the so called new-tech upgrades. So disappointed and feel so betrayed.
