Shohei Ohtani getting fucked up by gambling is still funny because there aren’t any repercussions yet. Let’s be real, though, he fuckin did it. His dude Ippei is trying to take the fall because guess what’s bigger than Shoehei’s gambling problem? $700 million. Best of luck to them both.

In related news one of my bosses has used that Bowyer guy as a bookie for years. Well, at least one of them. That guy is the real victim in this. Bowyer, I mean. Spend decades building up a nice book of illegal business just to have it crash down now that gambling is basically the only thing America produces? It’s like an O. Henry story, it sucks.

I’ve decided I hate gambling now. Unless a sheisty gambling business wants to personally sponsor me.

My gambler’s intuition tells me that Ohtani is going to be more of a Paul Hornung suspension-style washout than a Pete Rose fuck-him-until-he-dies type of deal. Mainly that’s just hope on my part because I like Shohei so far. Pete Rose can rot in hell. I hope he lives another 50 years and never gets forgiven.

Anyway, like I said, I hate gambling now.

Propaganda In Baseball !

Propaganda has great power to influence masses or powerful individuals. Propaganda has greatly changed the flow of history in the game of baseball. In over 100 years no one was able to accomplish the type of season Shohei Ohtani was able to have in the year 2021. Propaganda was able to influence the way the game of baseball will forever be played now. The Japanese Baseball League was able to convince him to stay in Japan until he was ready. Once Shohei Ohtani was ready his ‘stock’ was so high in the baseball world every single team wanted him as he was able to sign for 20+ million dollars instantly, that is not even including his yearly contract salary! This simply would not have been able to happen without propaganda to keep Shoehi Ohtani in Japan a few more years. Fast forward to this prior year where Shohei Ohtani was able to have one of the best seasons in Major League Baseball history, both hitting and pitching, he was able to open a new door and new perspective in the game of baseball. Forever there will be a new viewpoint on ‘two way’ baseball players because of the influence propaganda played in one of the most exciting players to ever play baseball. The powers of propaganda can play large domino effects to the future along with influencing masses or powerful individuals.

Writing about topics that interest one is one of the best possible ways to conceive any new concepts that are learned. For me writing about topics that I learned and relating them to my favorite activities helps me grow interest and learn further. My love of baseball drew me to look into propaganda in the game of baseball and if there was anything. Seeing how propaganda has shaped baseball in the past along with the recent direction with one of the best players in all of the game was truly fascinating. Shohei Ohtani experienced large propaganda which shaped his career and possibly the future of Major League Baseball as a whole.

Propaganda is influencing a specific promotion of a certain idea that tends to greatly benefit the creator. This has greatly shaped the history of our human existence as many are instantly drawn to the time of World Wars one and two as there was large extents of propaganda. Shohei Ohtani is a baseball superstar from Japan. In Japan there is a posting system for players that are considered a high enough tier and the Japanese Baseball League and government are willing to allow them to enter the posting system. Shohei Ohtani was in this exact situation. This is where Propaganda comes into major play in the game of baseball. There was a fight to draw Shohei Ohtani to each side being staying in Japan to play more or join the Minor Leagues which is the step before the Major Leagues in America.

In Japan they launched a propaganda pitch to Shohei Ohtani where the Japanese Baseball League created a poor image to the Minor League system that Shohei Ohtani would have to go through and created a horrible nature around the proceeding steps to making the Major Leagues. The Japanese Baseball League was using Irrational Propaganda to persuade him. Irrational Propaganda is when one is filled with false logic, arguments directed to emotions and beliefs or myths. False logic, emotion and myths were all used in this case. As the Japanese Baseball League falsely exaggerated negative aspects of the minor leagues while glorifying the Japanese Baseball League to extreme extents to prove a point in their eyes.

As the Japanese Baseball League did use irrational propaganda on Shoehei Ohtani there was also rational propaganda being used as well. Rational propaganda is when scientific evidence, reasoning, realism and common sense are used in propaganda scenarios. This happened to be used as well. In specific, Shohei Ohtani is a ‘two way’ baseball player. This means that he hits as well as pitches at a very high level. Many do this in high school, few do this in college and no one does this professionally. Shohei Ohtani happens to be extremely talented at hitting and pitching which creates a dilemma. If he were to go to the Major Leagues at this current time in his past he would likely have had to strictly pitch which he did not want to do. The Japanese Baseball League used this common sense and reasoning on their side to create more propaganda. In this propaganda they were able to portray to Shohei Ohtani how he would be able to continue to pitch and hit in their league along with developing in both. This would allow him to do what he loved and also develop to the point of when he was ready to be in the posting system he could pitch and hit in the Major Leagues.
