Demon Influencer or Incubus? That Time When My Boyfriend's Bestfriend Tried to Seduce Me - Sho x Reader
my masterlist!
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend was undeniably a moron. He was like a jewel one in a million but god why was he here?
That pompous brat. You had no clue how Sho could live around an egotistical man-child. “It would last longer if you took a picture” the bastard cooed, you immediately scoffed at him. Leaning into your bandanaed boyfriend inhaling his woody musk.
“Leo, do you mind?” Sho sighed, you watched him several hours prior swiftly working so you knew he was tired and probably knew he wasn’t up for any of Sho’s funny business.
“Yes actually, I do,” he grinned smugly. Sho shot up, leaving you behind. “I’m going to bed, I’m not dealing with your bullshit. Sorry Mc, I’ll go over to yours next time but,” he sharply inhaled “I’m too exhausted to go there and back. See you tomorrow princess.”
As he left Leo gagged at your interaction “Princess, really!? This school and NPC really must’ve rotted your brain!” He called out to Sho. Silence only followed.
You were quick to get up, hoping the next day you wouldn’t have to see the overgrown child’s face again. You were caught off guard however as Leo fleetly blocked your exit out of Vagastrom.
“What’s the deal dickward, let me leave you and I know neither of us wants to be near each other.” It was late at night and without Sho, you didn’t feel welcomed in the dormitory so your patience was running thin.
Leo clicked his tongue, “c’mon sweetcheeks I know you like me and just settled for Sho so you could get close to me~” He loomed over me as he had that foolish smile. You kept moving back, but he kept moving forward like you were his prey and he was the predator.
“What the hell are you going on about, get away from me!” It was true that your relationship with Sho was still new, but the idea of even somewhat liking Leo made you want to gag.
“C’mere~” he purred as his hand attempted to sleuth your body. You reacted in the only way you knew, slapping him. You sprinted for your life looking for Sho’s room and assaulting that door like your life depended on it.
It didn’t take long before Sho opened the door and you slid in the room closing, locking the door and hugging him tightly.
“.. What happened?” He sounded tired, you were unsure if it was because he just woke up or if he had an inkling of what was happening.
“Leo he…”
“Ugh, I told him not to test you.” He groaned, “test me..?” you questioned in confusion.
“He wanted to see if you were loyal and a good fit or whatever.. I told him not to since it was a stupid idea…” Sho sighed as he looked at me pitifully, “he’s being stupid like usual. I’m taking you,” “What are you talking abou- whoa!” He grasped me and threw you over his shoulder. “Mhm’ taking you to bed.” … “What!”
I take commisions!

K. BAKUGOU, S. TODOROKI, & I. MIDORIYA + SHY!GN. READER
𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮 ; the main three when their shy/anxious s/o finally says 'i love you'<3
𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 ; fluff, hcs + scenarios, new relationships, literally that's it and skin color not mentioned
Tumblr media
IZUKU MIDORIYA
izu just can't with this.
he understands how you're shy and all of that so it might take you some time to get comfortable saying those things
hell he even was scared to say it too but this long??? really?
izu has begun to think that you'd never say it at this rate...
he got so scared that you didn't love him at all and was just too scared to tell him the truth because you didn't wanna hurt his feelings!
or maybe he's just overthinking again...
that doesn't matter because izu never tells you his concerns. he wants you to take your time
he doesn't wanna rush you and make it forced!
that being said...when you finally do say it on your own, he thinks he just might lose his mind.
izuku's anxious sitting at his desk with you right beside him almost breaking the pencil in half and it was a mechanical pencil. he was holding back because he didn't want to frighten you but he just couldn't sit here while you're looking so cute.
he wanted to say he loved how cute you looked so bad but he was worried that maybe it'd make you uncomfortable since you weren't saying i love you to him yet.
that had been getting to him a lot lately and he didn't know how to handle it without talking to you. he knew how you were and didn't want to make it worse. see izuku himself was a fairly shy person, well not so much as he was in middle school but he understood you and your feelings but not enough for it to not bother him!
"ohhh! i get it now!" you exclaimed leaning back in your chair. your sudden loud speech snapped izuku out of his thoughts and he smiled at you sweetly with a hum escaping him.
you gave him a grin "thanks izu! i love you, i don't know what i'd do without you." you spoke without thinking and immediately closed your eyes out of embarrassment at what he'd say in response. you didn't think about what you were saying, you just said the first thing that came to mind...when you heard a loud bang, you opened your eyes and looked at your boyfriend with wide eyes.
izu's face was planted on the desk and he was letting out a hum that didn't seem positive or anything; more like he was a kettle on the stove. "oh uhm...are you okay?" you hesitantly asked going to reach for him but he snapped up before you could touch him. izuku's face was bright red and it looked like he was burning up "i love you too!" he shouted with a smile on his face clearly happy that you finally said that. you were a bit weirded out but at least he was happy.
KATSUKI BAKUGOU
oh please don't even get me started on katsuki...
like izu, he was really upset about you not saying you love him especially when he said it to you first and you didn't say it back
but unlike izuku, he could give less than a fuck about not wanting to talk to you about it
the only thing that stopped him from doing that was that denki told him that he'd probably hurt your feelings like that and that was the last thing he wanted to do so for once, he shut up
but his aggression was fairly obvious because every time he said he loved you with that frown on his face, it'd get deeper when you didn't say it back and just smiled at him
katsuki felt like he'd actually blow up a building if you took longer to say it.
"what the hell are you doing up there!?" katsuki shouted from down below in the training area while you stood on one of the buildings looking for denki who was supposed to be your other partner.
you looked down at the masked boy very cautiously i might add and just nervously gave him an 'uh' showing you didn't know. katsuki grunted in frustration as he looked around to see if there was any one from the other team around to make sure that you guys didn't lose. he was already beginning to sweat just from pure anger.
when the class was splitting up to go to the locker rooms for costume changes, katsuki had told you he loved you and that he'd see you on the grounds but...you didn't say it back. you just laughed a bit showing that you were growing embarrassed and gave him a very small peck on his cheek.
see katsuki did appreciate that but he wanted an 'i love you' back not a kiss especially not a little baby kiss to the cheek that one of his cousins would give him but again, he stayed silent and just grumbled under his breath in the lockerroom. he was already pissed off from that but now denki was nowhere to be found? that dumb fucker was probably lost.
little did the both of you know, he was behind you planning on surprising you which was not the best idea considering you were almost dangling over the edge of a building right now. "boo!" denki shouted in your ear making you jump and lose your footing. you slipped and fell off the edge of the building with a yelp drawing your boyfriend's attention.
he was quick to blast up into the air and catch you in his arms before you even slightly neared the ground "oh my god! i love you so much 'suki!" you said in desperation as you wrapped your arms around him and clutched onto him in fear that you'd fall. katsuki would never drop you but he almost did when he heard you finally say it back to him.
"ha! i thought you'd never say it!" katsuki shouted with a grin on his face as he landed on the ground, your face still stuffed in his shoulder. you hadn't even realized what you said until he just pointed it out "oh..." you muttered feeling embarrassment creep up on you as your boyfriend put you on the ground. you put your palms to your face to cover you hot face but the blonde grabbed your hands and forcefully pulled them away from your face "stop that shit! if you think i don't love you back, i do." katsuki said muttering the last part a little lower because denki was shouting apologies from the top of the building and could probably hear a few things.
katsuki had a bit to learn about embarrassment when saying that kind of stuff too.
SHOTO TODOROKI
pls dont ever talk to him about this
he'll actually just sit there silent probably dying inside
shoto has had his fair share of not getting told i love you or getting a sort of warped kind of love so you not saying i love you isn't something relatively new to him
but he still hates it.
he can't even begin to explain the ache in his chest when ou don't say it back to him, not like he'd ever explain it to anyone
unlike both of the other boys, he's extremely patient and no matter how he feels, he won't throw small tantrums over you not saying it and will just wait
but as he waited, he got more needy for hearing those three words
"sho..." you whined dragging out the o in your boyfriend's name while you tried to get up from under the many blankets shoto had you bundled under. he had the whole work for you.
thermometer on the bedside desk and cold medicine right next to it while you continuously sneezed and coughed in bed. you had gotten sick recently and your darling two-toned-haired boyfriend had been there for every step! making you food, running your baths, just being a complete sweetheart.
shoto, by default, was a sweet boyfriend but he had been a little extra kind lately in hopes that you'd tell him that you loved him for all of his efforts of going out of his way for you. he didn't know what was going on in your brain but he clearly knew you well because that was what you were planning to do.
telling the boy that you loved him would be the perfect way to express your gratitude to him for all he's done throughout your sickness that was caused by your stupidity of going to the market in the cold night after getting out of the shower "coming, my love." shoto said waddling into the room with a bowl of steaming ramen on the small wooden table he had in his hands to make it easier for you to eat in bed. he was really playing the house husband role.
"here, the broth will make you feel better. i promise." the boy said setting the table on the bed just above your legs while kneeling to the ground, you smiled at the todoroki boy deciding that this was the perfect time to tell him that you loved him.
with a blow toward the scalding bowl, you uttered the words quietly "i love you sho." you grew shy after saying that not knowing how he'd respond and his silence ate you alive. you grabbed your chopsticks as you kept your head down to avoid eye contact "sorry, just ignore it–" "no." he interrupted your excuse almost making you knock the bowl over with now fast your body turned to look at him again.
sho's cheeks were flushed a light pink "i love you too. just didn't expect you to say that." he said chuckling lightly with a smile on his face. it might've been true that he wished for you to say it now but it still surprised him.
in a good way though... "can i have a kiss?" you asked smiling back at your boyfriend who still gave you a close-eyed grin, sho stood to his feet "no. you will get me sick." he replied in a monotone before beginning to walk away muttering how he was going to get you something to drink.
you whined loudly throwing your head back. "sho....!"

I just think it's adorable when Arrietty rides Sho's shoulder. And I ship them (and have written several fics shipping them). They're already friends, so maybe shipping them romantically would be friends to lovers?

sho haizono — morning warmth (one-shot)
Tumblr media
you, who can not cook, attempts to prepare breakfast for sho. what could go wrong?
pairing: sho haizono / reader
tags: fluff, teasing sho to death lmfao
words: 811
[cross posted from ao3]
Tumblr media
it was a perfect day albeit a little strange. sho was still sleeping when you woke up, and oddly enough, leo and alan were nowhere in sight. you turned to your right where sho laid sleeping and felt a smile creep up on your lips. he really wasn't one to sleep while it's dark out; he prefers to go to sleep when it's nearly dawn, when the sky is gradually turning blue from the pitch black darkness.
'he looks so peaceful.' you thought, eyes gazing over at his relaxed expression. he looks beautiful drowned by the blankets you cuddled under just last night. he looked so cozy that you couldn't dare wake him up. instead, you opted to lean in and place a chaste yet sincere kiss on his forehead before picking up after yourself to prepare for the morning.
a yawn and a stretch– with an invigorated burst, you started to wake yourself up and collect the ingredients to make breakfast in bed for sho. you weren't the very best at cooking yet with how much sho cooks for you, you thought it'd be best to give back to him somehow.
after weighing down your choices on what to prepare, you decided to settle with omelets. it's just an egg, right? how hard can it be?
alas, you're now on your fourth failed attempt of trying to shape the stubborn egg. who knew there were so many things to take into consideration? the heat of the pan, amount of oil, and even the egg mixture!
"oi, what're you doin' there?" sho's gruff voice snaps you back into reality as he stands by the door frame of the kitchen, scratching his head, and his expression in a deadpan. "you tryna cook for everyone in the dorm or what?"
though to others, he'd sound annoyed, you knew he was just confused. after all, you were looking panicked in the kitchen with four plates of failed omelet.
"i thought of cooking breakfast for you." you confessed since the cat's out of the bag anyway.
sho sighs and takes a step closer to you until you can feel him directly behind you, "what did i tell you? i said you don't ever have to cook with me around."
you'd laugh at sho's apprehension, finding his sleepy yet troubled mutterings adorable- though he'd never forgive you if you called him that!
"aww, i just wanted to cook for you." you replied, forming a little pout on your lips as you glanced back at him.
"fine, fine. if that's what you want." he nonchalantly caves in, maintaining his cool demeanor as he takes his place behind you.
he was close, too close though you'd never point it out knowing he'd be flustered and immediately back away. he was close enough for you to feel his breath by your hair and the warmth of his chest on your back. though sho, seemingly still sleepy, had other plans.
his hand held yours from behind; one guiding your grip on the pan, the other on the spatula as the egg on the pan started to form. his skilled hands holding yours guided you to shape the egg, telling you to manage the temperature of the stove as you basked in his warmth.
"woah, it didn't turn out shabby!" you exclaimed upon seeing him place the omelet on top of the rice you had prepared. "you're really good with your hands, huh?" you teased him all to see his flustered expression.
"you..." he grumbled under his breath, rolling his eyes. instead of continuing, he adeptly changes the topic, "sorry for sleeping in, you must've been looking for breakfast." he mutters a quick apology.
he's always so nice and it never fails to make your heart flutter or make your stomach do flips. you shook your head, clarifying the misunderstanding, "i wanted to cook for you since you're always cooking for me."
for once, sho was taken aback; he froze in his spot and his cheeks became dusted with red.
"you don't have to do that for me." he muttered under his breath, trying to deflect the affection he was feeling.
"but i still want to try since sho-kun is such an inspiration when cooking~" you decided to tease him a little more to coax out more of his flustered habits like averting his eyes or picking up his utensils before setting it down and picking it up again. every single detail was charming and so, so endearing to you.
"thanks, i guess..." he grumbles, looking away as if extremely aware of the reddening tips of his ears which makes you chuckle.
"i miss the times you called me senpai." you decided to throw in another jab to tease him which makes him grumble under his breath even more, forcing another hearty chuckle from you.
"hmph- fine," sho huffs, "arigato, senpai.”

Highway to Home: A Birthday Surprise
Tumblr media
The campus was quiet on a Saturday afternoon, with most students scattered across campus or lounging in their dorms. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the sprawling lawns. You had taken this rare opportunity to do something special—something for Sho, whose birthday was today.
Sho was known for his cocky attitude and his less-than-welcoming demeanor, but you had seen another side of him—one that was more complex, more human. As a friend of Leo and Sho’s, you had been exposed to the softer, hidden facets of Sho’s personality. And while he might act like a stereotypical apathetic delinquent, you had come to appreciate the occasional glimpses of his heart beneath the tough exterior.
The crowning jewel of Sho’s personality was his cooking. His food truck, "Highway to Home," had become something of a legend on campus, earning rave reviews from students who were fortunate enough to sample his culinary creations. And although you weren’t quite in Sho’s league when it came to cooking, you were determined to make something special for him today. You had spent the entire morning in your tiny apartment kitchen, trying to replicate one of his simpler dishes—a creamy risotto, with the hope that it would convey your appreciation and affection.
With a final sprinkle of parsley and a dash of freshly cracked pepper, you finished plating the risotto and set it carefully in a box. It wasn’t perfect, but it was made with genuine care. You had also picked up a small, thoughtful gift—a vintage keychain that matched the aesthetic of Sho’s dark blue bandana.
You approached Sho’s food truck with a mixture of nervous excitement and determined resolve, your steps purposeful as you neared the truck. Inside, Sho was busy cooking, his focus entirely on the sizzling skillet in front of him.
As you reached the window, Sho looked up, his blue eyes meeting yours with a flicker of curiosity. He raised an eyebrow, his typical smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
“What’s this?” he asked, wiping his hands on a towel as he leaned against the counter. “Did someone order a special delivery?”
You held out the box with a shy smile. “I made you something for your birthday,” you said, trying to keep your voice steady. “I know I’m not as good as you, but I thought you might like it.”
Sho’s expression softened, and he took the box from you with a gentle touch. He carefully lifted the lid, and his eyes widened slightly as he inspected the risotto. There was a pause, and then he looked up at you with an amused glint in his eye.
“So, you’re gonna celebrate my birthday, huh?” he said, his tone half teasing, half genuine.
You nodded, feeling your cheeks warm under his gaze. “Yes, I am. And I also got you a little something.” You handed him the gift—a small, wrapped package.
Sho accepted the gift and opened it with a mix of curiosity and surprise. His fingers brushed over the vintage keychain, and a rare, sincere smile spread across his face. “Well, this is pretty cool,” he said, his voice softening. “Thanks.”
You couldn’t help but smile at his reaction, feeling a warmth spread through you. “You’re welcome. I hope the risotto is at least edible.”
Sho chuckled, a genuine, unguarded sound that seemed to come from deep within. “Alright, let’s see if you’ve managed to make something that won’t get me food poisoning.”
He took a spoonful of the risotto, his eyes narrowing in concentration as he tasted it. The moments stretched out, and you could feel your heart pounding in your chest, awaiting his verdict. After what felt like an eternity, Sho’s expression relaxed, and he looked at you with a mixture of surprise and approval.
“You know,” he said, still chewing thoughtfully, “this is actually pretty damn good. I might have to add it to the menu, just so I can get some of this more often.”
Your face lit up with a mix of relief and happiness. “Really? I’m glad you like it.”
Sho nodded, his gaze lingering on you with an unfamiliar tenderness. “Yeah, really. And for the record… thanks for making my birthday a little more special.”
There was a quiet moment between you two, an unspoken understanding settling in the air. Sho, despite his usual bravado, seemed genuinely touched, and you felt a flutter of warmth at the connection you were building.
“So,” Sho said, his playful smirk returning, “what do I want for another birthday present? Hmm… I suppose I’ll take you. Just kidding.”
You laughed, a genuine, happy sound that seemed to surprise even yourself. “You’re impossible.”
Sho grinned, the corners of his eyes crinkling. “Yeah, but you like it.”
As the sun continued to set, painting the sky with hues of pink and orange, you and Sho shared the evening together, the warmth of the risotto and the shared laughter creating a cozy, intimate moment. For once, the tough delinquent seemed less like a hardened rebel and more like someone who had found a small, unexpected treasure in the middle of his ordinary day.

Psycho pass headcanons because I Im obsessed:
Akane keeps her hairstyle the same bc she wants Kogami to recognize her right away if they ever meet again (and it’s low maintenance)
Ginoza gets panic / anxious sometimes but being with / thinking about his dog helps him calm down
Ginoza sleeps with his dogs in the same room as him. He brushes them every week, feeds and exercises them a particular way, and overall has a strict care schedule. Treats his pet like royalty. Dogs are a huge soft spot for him
When he runs out of liquor Ginoza actively goes out of his way to buy the exact brand and style that his dad left him
Kogami drink black coffee because it reminds him of his old professor
Kagari liked sports and got rly into it whenever he’d watch them on tv
Risa is in general uncomfortable around males, but has a soft spot for Ginoza and considers him her best friend
Kogami can’t dance 😭 he think he can but no.
Kagari and Gino are the opposite. They actually dance quite well but either don’t want to (Kagari) or are too shy(Gino)
When the girls of the agency have sleepovers they invite ginoza solely because they want to braid and style his hair
Akane is ace or/and demisexual
Gino is also Demi and/or bi
Mika is very insecure and it’s the reason she takes out her frustration and annoying anger on others (side note: she annoys me sooo much the first 12 episodes she’s in I’m so glad she’s chilled out a bit by szn 3)
Gino and akane think of Kogami whenever they are sad or need motivstion( lowkey this is canon tho based on flashbacks etc)
Kogami cleans countertops by yeeting crumbs onto the floor 😭😭 this drives akane crazy
Sho plays games like Minecraft and DND
Sho does that leg tap fidgeting thing and other NEET stuff
(Please reblog or comment with your own headcanons! I love headcanons!!)

surprising jo1 with a birthday cake
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing(s): bf!ot11 x fem!reader ⌙ 1.0k
genre: fluff
tags: established relationship, tooth-rotting fluff
warnings: none!
a/n: this was such a lovely req to write omg tysm for the anon that requested it. i really hope it’s everything you wanted and that you enjoy this <3
Tumblr media
syoya
this man would be elated, ecstatic, practically every word synonymous to ‘happy’ in the dictionary. syoya loves food so his girlfriend surprising him with a birthday cake definitely made his day.
there were smiles all around him while syoya thanked you profusely for taking the time to prepare the surprise for him.
so your boyfriend made sure to enjoy it to the fullest, taking big bites continually. the best part was when his cheeks would puff up, cake filling his mouth as he grinned sheepishly at you.
mame
it wasn’t necessarily a shock to him that you were making a birthday cake for him secretly because you asked all his members to get in on it. and they’re not the most subtle people. (the episode where they surprised him for his twentieth birthday)
but mame still forced a gasp when you did. he thought the prideful look on your face as well as the grin that adorned it was totally adorable.
he also very much indulges you, and plays along enthusiastically.
sukai
when you did surprise him, his facial expression did stay neutral so it brought your mood down for a while.
but that shifted when he embraced you, tightly wrapping you up in his arms while whispering so many words of praise to you sweetly.
the thought definitely moved him, because you cared that much to prepare and bake a whole cake for him. sukai’s so down bad, his soft expression when you wave over to him to join as you cut the cake would be made fun of by his members if they were ever there.
sho
just like sukai, he was extremely elated that he bombarded you with hugs and kisses. being leader meant that he barely had any time allocated to just relax and take care of himself but since you two started dating you took it upon yourself to do it all.
so it really made his day when you did surprise him. it always felt like the stress and problems disintegrated away when he was with you.
he loved how cute it was that you were determined in making him have the best birthday ever.
junki
probably the most visibly excited out of all the members. he’s quite hyper so when you finally took your hands off his eyes and he noticed the cake, junki turned to lift you up to spin you around in joy.
definitely gave you his phone so you could take thousands of photos of him per his request.
junki even began to sort of keeping you hostage; but it was his special day so you kept quiet. “let’s take another.” “no way! i’ve already taken, like, thirty..” “please!” “fine.”
keigo
definitely started peppering you with kisses on the cheek the second he saw it. it was cute that you had went all out for his birthday like this.
even when you whined back at faux disgust, he only retaliated by stealing a few more pecks.
this man really had you on his lap as he cut the cake, pleading for you to place your hand on his almost like you were getting married; “hopefully some time soon” he joked. and only fits of laughter filled the air as you caved in.
ruki
he’s the most calm, and collected about it out of his members, being an introvert and all.
when ruki’s eyes finally fell on the cake, the biggest smile erupted on his face. you don’t think you’ve ever heard him say ‘thank you’ so much in your life.
it also resulted in him clinging to you all day. ruki isn’t big on physical touch so it really surprised you. but like sukai, he heavily appreciated the thought that went into surprising him.
shion
alike with mame, shion too knew about your surprise for him. of course he would never tell you that. so when you finally jumped out at him behind the door while holding his cake, he tried his hardest to stifle the urge to laugh.
shion wanted to make you feel accomplished, but he would never tell you that.
he became very playful after you guys had cut the cake, even going far as using his finger to smudge icing on your nose; the pout on your expression after was too adorable to make him not coo.
shosei
another shy baby, smiling to the point where it was from ear to ear. shosei was also sort of giddy, impatient to wrap his arms around you and feel your warmth.
he understands the amount of care you’ve put into the cake, so he enjoys it happily, even feeding you some, and making you feed him.
also thanks you the whole time and starts to cling to you, littering kisses all over your face just because he can.
shosei doesn’t put as much emphasis on his birthday as much as you would’ve liked so you the prepared other surprised alongside the cake.
takumi
the cutest ever. tk is more vocal about his gratitude and hurries over to cut the cake, helping to give yourself and him a plate.
talks your ear off about what he did with his members on his special day while eagerly finishing his slice.
takumi thinks he’s boring you but you love how happy he looks when he rambles.
at the end of everything when you call to him, saying “kumi..” so softly, he feels like he could almost melt. and joins you to dance as you put on some music.
ren
also sort of calm about it all, but really excited in the inside. very impatient to actually taste the cake and thinks you did a great job.
but when you tell him that you’d do it only because you loved him, he swears he’s never had his heart flutter so much.
ren can’t even begin to explain how much he appreciates it all so resorts in becoming attached to you the whole time. the group has a really intense schedule most the time.
and it was nice to finally relax with you so he’s grateful. the day ended with you two all snug, cuddling and watching his favourite movie.

modern au xiao comforting you and trying to understand your emotions
im inspired by my own emotions rn bc im not feeling too great and xiao just so happens to be my way of coping
give me some inspiration or scenarios you’d like me to write about!!!!!!!!
you weren’t really sure why, but you began feeling more and more upset lately. just feeling like the world is against you. at first, xiao didn’t really notice it until you started to not reply to his texts as often
so he decided to ask you what was up and still, you didn’t really know why. but xiao was patient. he was a good listener, he suggested that if you were to just ramble on about anything that made you slightly upset then you would feel better and you did!
xiao was understanding, calm and patient with you. but after you finished rambling on about this and that, you felt a part of you feel like it wasn’t fair that it was only you talking about yourself and you wished that xiao would talk about himself more
but it was all too much and tears began welling up in your eyes, “how did i manage to get lucky enough and be with you? you deserve better than me xiao”
xiao instantly knew what to do, he grabbed a tissue, held you close and dried away your tears. he whispered sweet words of praise, “you are everything to me. you’re all i have so don’t even say that i deserve better because you are already the best to me.”
he kept praising you and telling you how much he loved you until your crying stopped and he just held you tight in his arms.
xiao then carried you to bed and laid next to you until you fell asleep, he knows you always get tired and sleepy after you cry.
when you woke up, xiao was still next to you, with his eyes closed but not sleeping. as soon as he felt the weight of the bed shift, he reached an arm around your waist to pull you closer to him

introducing sho to your parents
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: sho minazuki x gn!reader
a/n: i really think that the phrase "asshole to the world, sweetheart to his girl" (genderneutral) fits sho! he would only care about you-
Tumblr media
to say you were worried about introducing sho to your family would be an understatement!
you loved sho, but he could be a bit of a difficult person at times, rarely getting alone with anyone aside from you
in his own words, sho hated “everyone that wasn't you”, which meant he didn't even try to get along with others
but your family had been bugging you to introduce your boyfriend to them and you had finally given in
before arriving at your parent's place, you gave sho a little briefing about what he should and shouldn't say – no cursing, no saying he hated people, as well as a few other things
but the moment you opened the door and your parents first laid eyes on your boyfriend, you knew it was already too late
his looks alone were enough to startle them, as sho couldn't help but glare at them. and as he tried to force a smile onto his lips, it only got worse…
you ended up not staying for too long, as it became clear that sho didn't make the best first impression
but sho didn't seem to mind that your parents weren't too fond of him. all that mattered to him was that you liked him! he didn't care about anyone but you

Practice date
Sho x Xena
Sho going all out to impress Xena.
Date night! Date night!
It’s currently 2am and I’ve been up since 7am, I half proof read it~ but also this might be nonsensical, but I just feel like Sho puts his all in his dates, he don’t fuck around.
“What are you writing?”
He was cleaning the picnic bench next to her as he prepared the shut down for the evening.
Xena glanced up as she tried to cover her page eyeing Sho suspiciously as he came slightly closer. His wind swept hair flowing with the breeze as he retucked his tie into his pocket, his blue eyes sparkling with curiosity as he grinned at Xena. He tossed the rubbish into the bin bag dropping it to the side for a moment before sliding next to her, leaning on his arm awaiting for her response as she sighed giving up on hiding her writings.
“It’s a bucket list…”O_O
She awkwardly fumbled for her notebook and clumsily shoved it in front of Sho’s face, in an attempt hide her embarrassed face.
Sho took it, his hands brushing against hers pausing there for a moment as he started reading through the list.
1. Skydive
2. Go on a good date
3. Throw a rager
4. Learn to cook
5. Get a thigh tattoo (over scar)
6. Find a cure?
7. One last Halloween
8. Go to the circus
9. Go to a festival
10. Go out with a bang
They all seemed pretty easy to solve…except for a couple, he gave back her notebook as he looked at her intrigued.
“You never been a date?”
He sounded surprise leaning on his arm again as he watched her hide the notebook in her bag. He couldn’t imagine no one ever asking Xena out?
“I’ve never been on a good date!”•_•
She tried not to sound too disappointed as she got up and started collecting rubbish from the other tables, Sho rolling his eyes at her obvious avoidance.
“Would you like to go on a good date?”
An obvious question with an obvious answer but he needed a way in as he grabbed the bin bag following her around as she cleared all the tables.
“It’s on the list.” •_•
She sighed in frustration, chucking an empty cup successfully into Sho’s bin bag.
Sho walked slowly beside her, he rolled up his sleeves as he casually put his arms over his head speeding up to her head of her as he spun around to face her. Trying to hide the grin spreading on his face as Xena’s face was dusted in a light blush.
“How bout I take you on a practice date~?”
Cheekily grinning at her as she froze in place, staring at him wide eyed as though he was speaking in an alien language.
“A Practice date?” •_•
She repeated, the words fumbling off her tongue as she tried to process the words. It’s not that she didn’t like Sho…in fact it was the opposite, he was strong, charming, smart, funny and insanely attractive to the point Xena is starting to think everyone’s wish was to be the most good looking person in this realm.
She hated to admit how much her crush on Sho had developed. The way he’s put his all into this food truck, his kindness, his smugness, the way he’s annoyingly perfect at everything and his humour; the butterflies that attack her stomach everytime she’s around him makes her want to challenge him in the pit, but she knows she wouldn’t win-another plus being that he’s insanely strong.
“Oi senpai, you with me?”
His hand was on her face, smirking down at her as her face practically had steam coming off it, even more so when she realised what was happening, she took a step back sitting on the bench behind her.
“Why would you want to go on a practice date with me?”
Why her of all people, she was usually known to be offputting and gruesome, her emotionless disposition apparently unsettled people, her quick temper causing more enemies than friends…yet Sho was here, sitting next to her as he leaned back glancing over at her in curiosity and amusement as he watched her slip into deep thought, she couldn’t decipher what his plan was despite it being so obvious even Alan could figure it out.
He nudged her grinning as she sharply turned to him, face still red as a tomato.
“Well how else are you gonna know what a good date is if you don’t experience it~?”
Her eyes widened before a small laugh spilled from her lips, rolling her eyes she leaned into him.
“Oh? And who made you the master of dating?”
She teasingly asked as he hummed in fake deep thought.
“Inspector Xena, I’ll have you know I’ve only ever received five star reviews on my dates, I’m the master the connoisseur, what can’t I do?”
He proudly exaggerates as he took hold of Xena’s hand giving it a chaste kiss on the back of her hand as he smirked down at her.
“Ohhh~ I see so the self admitted playboy only gets five star reviews? Sounds suspicious, you can be quite persuasive ya know~ how do I know it’s legit?”•_•
She jokingly said as Sho didn’t let go of her hand, instead clasping it with his own as he cackled.
“Hmmm~then I have to prove it to you Xe, worst comes to worse I’ll use my persuasion skills to convince you its the best da-practice date you’ve ever been on.”
He sounded so confident, once again kissing the back of her hand as he stood back up and pulled Xena up with him, leading her back to the food truck. Her heart hammering in her chest and she was 100% surprised her head hasn’t blown up from how much heat was exploding over her cheeks as she let herself get easily led back.
“I’ll guess you’ll just have to prove it to me then…”
———————————————————
She had never sweated more in her life.
Sho said it’s going to be a surprise, so she had no clue what to wear-Sho telling her whatever she wore would be fine.
She had her dark red bat shaped corset tank on with a long black skirt that slits on one side, big black boots to boost her height and a cropped leather jacket. Leo had given his approval for the outfit, rejecting the many other choices the two had been debating for the majority of the day.
Her makeup was light gothic, she didn’t want to go too heavy, wearing a red eyeshadow with black eyeliner and a dark red lip. She wore matching bat earrings and black gemmed rings, Her hair left loose as she clipped it back on one side.
He said he’d pick her up in ten minutes and she tried so hard to keep her face neutral but the excited grin seemed to take over her as she paced the room, checking on her plants as she tried to pass the time.
Sho was early, waiting outside as he saw shadows of Xena’s figure pass by the windows erratically, smiling to himself as he wandered to the front door, repeatedly knocking on the door and only being slightly surprised as he was met by the stunning image of a flustered and excited Xena.
He couldn’t help himself, obviously checking her out as he pulled her into a hug.
“You look amazing Xena…”
He whispered into her ear, snickering as she gently pushed him away, Sho was wearing a bikers jacket with a black and grey patterned shirt with a black t shirt underneath, wearing his signature bandanna and chains as he spun Xena around causing the girl to giggle as she held on tightly.
“I could say the same to you!”
She cringed as she said it way too loudly-clearly very nervous , Sho grinning as he took her hand and lead her to Bonnie, who was patiently waiting for them.
He handed her a cat eared mustard motorcycle helmet, one she had never seen before, he helped secure it onto her head, his grin widening even more as brown eyes gazed at him with pure elation. He knew she’d like this helmet, getting one of the other students to custom make it for her.
“Is this new! It’s a really pretty colour…”
She grasped around the helmet, she could peek through the visor a subtle blush on Sho’s face as he helped her onto the bike.
“I’m glad you like it Xe, it’s your helmet after all.”
He quickly turned and revved the engine, guiding Xena’s arms around him as he felt his heart overtake the sound of the engine.
“You made this for me?”
Hands tracing around him before he clasped her hands together around him, safely securing her.
He wasn’t prepared for how pretty she looked or how cute she was being, he was feeling almost giddy as he started driving off and out of their cage, glad he had time to resort himself before he has to face her once again.
———————————————————
Their first location was a neon Acropolis, an arcade at the top of a steep hill. The walls were covered in neon pink and purple jellyfish with flowers dancing around them, the place brimming with an eclectic amount of game that Xena was ready to absolutely defeat Sho in.
He held her hand and guided her to the entrance, getting them both a drink as they both excitedly chattered away darting into the main room.
“How about everytime one of us you loses, the winner can request or ask them to do something?”
He was rubbing circles on her hand and at this moment of time she was at 30% fluster, the ride there driving her crazy of the smell of leather and Sho’s cologne mixed with the beautiful sceneries made her very glad Sho couldn’t see her tomato red face, the cool air around them being the only reason it died down by the time they got there.
“Sure sounds like a deal, when one of us you loses I’m sure to be kind in my prizes.”
She grinned confidently as they arrived at their first game.
Basketball hoops, easy peasy…or so she thought.
She lost by one point, scowling at Sho’s smug grin as he spun the basketball on his finger.
“So mine will be…”
He hummed in thought, underhandedly throwing the ball and smirking as it went through the hoop without him looking.
“A question-how many other proper dates have you been on?”
She took a sip of her drink before answering, taking her time as she avoided answering, feeling awkward all of a sudden.
“Three…none of them went to a second date.”
She chuckled awkwardly as Sho linked his arm with hers, she spotted an air hockey table and lit up as Sho immediately lead them over there.
“Why’d they never continue?”
He questioned innocently, side glancing at Xena, getting completely distracted by how good she looked as he almost walked into the table, getting yanked back by Xena as she raised an eyebrow at Sho.
“I don’t know…I just never really, I only said yes I guess cause they wouldn’t let up otherwise??”•_•
Sho frowned at the response, Xena who never ran away from a fight giving in so easily.
“Don’t get me wrong I would’ve beat the shit out of them if I could, but friends of friends ya know, it was easier to have a disappointing time for a couple of hours rather than lose a friend.”•_•
She nodded to herself as if she said the wisest words in the world, Sho nodded still frowning as he went to his side of the hockey table.
“They don’t sound like the greatest of friends”
He murmured out, the words almost lost over the loud upbeat music that boomed throughout the room.
“Hmmmm-I guess not.” O_O
He sighed as she calmly responded.
“You don’t feel pressured cause we’re frie-“
“Not in a million years Sho, if I didn’t want to go today I wouldn’t have, it was different times back then…”
The mood lulled a bit as Xena cursed at herself for killing the mood as Sho mulled over her words, he easily picked up her crush on him and he hope she picked up his.
He was so distracted that he didn’t realise he was losing till it was too late.
“Oh my~ you’ve gotta keep your head in the game Sho if you wanna win.”
She sang at him as she came bounding over to him, Sho sighed as he smiled gently at Xena, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she went a bright red.
45% flustered now.
He took a sip of his drink as Xena reloaded.
“Hmm a question, how many dates have you been on?”
She asked curiously, intrigue sparkling in her eyes as she wrapped an arm around his, he relished in the way she was pressed up beside him, in the way she looked-smelled, even her voice was setting him alight as he realised this was his chance to not only a how her the best date ever…but to hopefully start the journey to many more after this.
He looked around locating the Mario kart as he dragged her over there, determined to win this time.
“I’ve been…on a few.”
He answered tentatively, he has had a bit of a history but nothing with much substance to count as an actual relationship.
Xena let out a low whistle giggling as she took a swig of her drink.
“That bad huh?”
He grinned sheepishly at her as he gestured for her to sit down, she grinned curtseying as she went to sit, Sho slotting next to her as the two begun their contest.
It ended up being a best out of eleven, Sho winning the last race as Xena groaned in despair.
“Request; you have to down your drink Xe.”
She sighed as she glanced at her half full cup, shrugging as she down the thing in one. Sho’s eyes widened in surprise as she dragged him to the bar; getting the two the same drinks as before as Sho quickly finished his drink.
Both were drinking beer, Xena’s a cherry flavoured one and Sho’s just a normal one, he thanks the stars that Bonnie is able to drive them around places without needing him to be at the wheel, his bribe of an all you can eat BBQ sandwich buffet paying off.
“What should we play next?!”
She excitedly asked, brown eyes glowing against the neon lights as Sho felt himself being sucked in by the whirlpool of giddiness dancing within her.
“Hmmm~how about street fighter?”
A confident grin spread across her face as Sho wrapped an arm around her waist as they waltzed over to the two player games.
They lost count of who won and who lost as they got distracted by the menagerie of games before them losing themselves as they bantered and bickered throughout their mini tournament, both deciding to make a request of the other as penance for losing track.
“You have to win me a teddy bear.”
Sho declared, Xena’s deadpan face coming back full force as she stared at the ugliest teddies she’s ever seen in her life.
“A teddy bear.”
She repeated in shock.
“The biggest, ugliest one you can find.”
They were three drinks in now, xena becoming more giggly and Sho more flirty as they continued.
She let out a cackle as she spotted a one eyed lime green pirate alien, the thing had a weird peg leg and alien parrot on its side. She took off her jacket preparing herself for battle as she grabbed the controllers, inserting the coins as she put her full focus on capturing Sho’s teddy bear.
It took till her seventh try before she debated giving up, turning to Sho as he leaned against the other machine mesmerised as he watched her focus.
“Don’t stop trying Xe, you’re so close.”
He tried to encourage her but his voice came out more strained than he meant it too. She looked so hot, her arm muscles flexing as his eyes traced the sight of her tattoo, the fire in her eyes as she fell into the zone, her top showing off her curves perfectly as it hugged her in all the right places. He was too busy checking her out to catch her frustrations but as she turned to him a scowl present on her face he glanced at the cursed contraption, catching sight of the teddy teetering on the edge.
He wrapped an arm around her, his thumb rubbing circles into her sides as he cooed comforting words to her as she tried to focus on capturing the teddy instead of the way she felt like she was about to combust as she reached 70% flusteredness.
She immediately caught the bear quickly grabbing it and turning to Sho stuffing it in his arms as she marched to the strength calculator. The butterflies getting too much for her as Sho made her brain feel dizzyingly fuzzy.
“My request is that you let me play this and don’t laugh at my score.”
Sho rolled his eyes chuckling as he trailed after her clutching onto his new friend.
It truly was the ugliest and biggest thing he’d seen, the eye that was on the bear was half sewn on, the lime green fur extremely soft yet the leg leg was weirdly hard.
He loved it.
He set the pirate to the side, checking the time nonchalantly, panic rising as he realised that they were running late for the second part of the date.
How had three hours already passed?
It was too easy being around Xena, time not existing as it feels like their own little world as they were at complete ease with eachother. Xena so easy too fluster making it even more fun, but the fact that the heavily guarded Xena was even letting him get this close both emotionally and physically to make her flustered was enough to set his brain into overdrive.
“Xe after this we’ve gotta leave if that’s okay?! There’s somewhere else I wanna take you!”
She grinned with elation nodding in agreement as she downed her drink, setting the cup to the side as she readied herself for her final knockout punch.
“Remember you’re not allowed to laugh.”
Sho nodded about to down his own drink as he prepared to leave, he was about to swallow his drink just as Xena swung at the hanging punching bag.
She put all her force into it, cheering as the the score loaded up on the device.
999
Sho nearly spat out his drink, choking as she turned to him preening at his surprise.
“Babe that was hot.”
80% fluster please seek immediate assistance.
———————————————————
Bonnie kindly drove the two plus their new recruit to the next location.
Sho nervously leading Xena through the dark greenery area the night sky making it so only their phone and the moon could help guide their way, a collision of trees and flowers interwoven between eachother as they approached a dome like building.
He’d never taken a date to somewhere like here before, Leo pulling some strings to get them their own room as he lifted Xena over a mud pile, she let out a light shriek of surprise, Sho cackling as she fake glared at him.
They had to leave captain pirate with Bonnie, who seemed to be happy to have the company.
She was half convinced Sho was going to murder her here, the small building seeming to have no inhabitants as Sho awkwardly knocked on the old wooden door.
The creaky door squeaking as an elderly man poked his head out the door glancing between Sho and Xena before sighing and opening the door even wider.
“You’re Late Mr.Haizono.”
Sho bowed apologetically, xena doing the same a she heard the old man chuckle at them.
“Please stand up properly, I’ll guide you to your room.”
Your room…?
He was definitely going to murder her…or…or
90% fluster has been achieved, system nearing overload.
She took a deep breath telling herself to get her head out the gutter, regretting putting her jacket on captain pirate as the cold night air wrapped itself around her.
She shivered as Sho guided her quickly inside, shuffling his jacket off and wrapping it around her as his scent surrounded her, she tucked herself further into his jacket, a happy sigh escaping her as she was enveloped in Sho’s scent.
“Thank you.”
She couldn’t help the shyness escaping her, Sho slotting his arm underneath his jacket and around her waist, seeming to be one of his favourite ways to walk with her.
He was surprisingly quiet as they approached the room, a lilac door decorated in a series of star signs. They entered and Xena’s eyes went comically wide as she realised where she was.
It was a planetarium.
“Sho…”
She was in awe, the night sky highlighted above them as Sho rubbed the back of his neck. He guided her to the leaned back double chair, helping her onto it as she found it hard to speak, in a state of shock and overwhelming adoration.
It was so sweet.
She held out her hand offering him an assist as he gently took it sliding in next to her as they both laid back in the chair.
“Do you like it?”
She laid her head on his shoulder, accepting the permanent blush on her face as she fiddled with the chain hanging around his neck.
She thought she could hear her own heartbeat but as she snuggled further into him she realised it wasnt hers but his heartbeat booming into her ears.
“I love it…Sho this is insane-it’s beautiful, thank you.”
She leaned up pressing a kiss to his cheek as she quickly laid back down as the show started to begin, narrowly missing the way Sho’s face lit up like a Christmas tree as a deep blush overtook him.
Sho had a giddy smile on his face throughout the rest of the show, eyes repeatedly glancing and meeting Xena’s as they both immersed in the show and eachother-not being able to decide what was better to watch.
The show was based on the zodiacs, the chair made out of pure memory foam, it was the prettiest and comfiest thing she had watched. The room was decorated in an assortment of zodiac based items-paintings, statues, music boxes, sketches even tiny chess pieces glued to the walls.
It was truly stunning.
———————————————————
They exited the plannetarium, giddy and warm as they Practically skipped back in happiness to Bonnie.
Xena was about to take off his jacket and hand it back, swapping it for her own before Sho stopped her, greedily enjoying the sight of her swamped in his clothes.
“Keep it on Xexe, it’s so cold, I couldn’t bear you freezing to death on our first date.”
100% overloaded system reboot.
He could almost see the steam of heat burning off of her as she slapped her cool hands against her cheeks, attempting to cool them down as she glanced at Sho.
“Our first date~we’ve upgraded from just a practice then?”
She grinned as she tilted her head curiously at him.
He returned her grin, hands ghosting around her waist once again as he leaned into her.
“Xe~I think we surpassed the practice level and gone straight into expert level.”
She let out another giggle as he came close, Sho narrowing his eyes as she aggressively rubbed at his cheek.
“You have erm lipstick there, sorry.”
She smiled sheepishly as she tried to remove the stain, nearly winning against it as only a shadow was left. Sho pouted at her, eyes flickering from her eyes to her lips.
“What if I wanted a reminder of you on me.”
It was so cheesy and if anyone else said it to her she would cackle in their face, but right now she was folding and folding hard as her breath hitched as Sho brought his lips to hers, pulling her closer as the two shared a short and sweet kiss.
120000% flustered-Xena may never revive.
She felt like she was going to explode, Sho grinning looking slightly ridiculous as a red lipstick mark stained his lips.
“Hmmm it suits you.”
She giggled again as she gazed adoringly at Sho, who huffed out a laugh as he wrapped his arms around her, slightly shuffling them from side to side. He was about to kiss her once more , the moon above them shining down as the breeze settled down between them it was the perfect moment…until Bonnie loudly revved her engine, reminding Sho they had one more place to go.
———————————————————
His hands covered her eyes as he wanted to keep it a surprise for her.
He hoped Alan and Leo prepped the place, not even able to regret the favours he will now owe them.
He still hadn’t removed the lipstick, proudly owning it as the two fell into a giggly lovey dovey state as they made their way there.
He let out a sigh of relief as he realised they did set it up.
“Oh my~everything okay Sho?”O_O
Xena startled at his sigh.
“Hmmm wait just one more moment Xe, keep your eyes closed please.”
He stepped in front of her taking one hand and guiding her to the chair, she obediently kept her eyes closed as he quickly set out the cakes, two meringue clams with fresh cream inside and strawberries buried within it, he had finished making them just before he left, hoping that she’ll enjoy them.
“You can open them.”
Eyes fluttering open and widening immediately as she took in the sights around her.
They were in a greenhouse, surrounded by an array of succulents and flowers, sunflowers, azaleas and strawberries plants just to name a few, fairy light surrounding them as they appeared like stars in the night sky. A small waterfall stood tall beside them as gentle streams of water trickled beside her.
She gasped as she gazed around the place, a beautiful scene with some of her favourite flowers surrounding her. She couldn’t help herself from wanting to look at every single little thing, mesmerised by the beauty as she glanced at the moon shining over them, the night sky littered with stars as she finally met Sho’s gaze. Who had been watching her slightly enraptured as he soaked in the sight of pure delight enveloping xena, knowing he’s the specific reason for it.
“Sho you did all of this…for me?”
She asked gasping as her eyes landed on the delicious looking treat before her, Sho blushed as he took her hand in his own, rubbing a thumb lovingly over it as Xena looked at him shocked.
“Of course Xe.”
He answered her softly, tugging gently on her arm as they both stood up meeting eachother over the table as they shared another short kiss.
“We can look around after we eat this-if you want too?”
She was sparkling, feeling herself fall into a well of complete content as she felt like she was falling off a cliff as she realised maybe this crush wasn’t going to be just a crush…maybe it wasn’t even just a crush now.
No one ever done something this sweet for her before, the events of the day catching up as she blinked away the tears, distracting herself with a bite of the dessert, humming in delight as the delicious treat danced delightfully on her taste buds.
“That tastes so good.”
She choked out, Sho’s blush deepening as he himself took a bite in an attempt to distract himself as he felt himself become enraptured with her.
“Has this met your expectations?”
Her eyes glittered with happiness, beaming at Sho as she nodded.
“This was the best date I’ve ever been on Sho…you erm you went to a lot of effort and I-“
Sho interrupted her leaning on one if his hands as they both finished off their treats.
“Hmmm~ I don’t think it was quite the best.”
He hummed in thought as he watched her smile drop as she fiddled with her spoon, disappointment drowning her.
“I think we need to go on a couple more dates, keep going until we reach the best of the best and even then I don’t think I’d wanna stop.”
He grinned at her as her eyes light up, the previous worry expelling as she let out a short giggle.
“Oh~? I don’t know how we’re gonna top this?”
She gestured to the greenhouse around them, as Sho held his hand out to her.
“Well I guess we’ll have to keep trying don’t we.”
He pulled her closer to him again, his hand caressing her cheek as he leaned in once again, pulling her into a passionate kiss, they pulled away half lidded eyes gazing at eachother lovingly.
“Hmm shall we check out the rest of the greenhouse?”
Xena, grinning from ear to ear as she clasped her hand to his.
“Sounds Perfect.”

Secret Santa: Hangman's Ending
12 Days of Christmas: Day 12
'Secret Santa: Part One'
Plot: The day of the festival has arrived and you are filled with anxiety and hope as to who might be waiting for you.
Pairing: Jake "Hangman" Seresin x Gn!Reader
Words: 1.2k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-
"Well I sure as hell wasn't expecting that, newbie." You recall hearing the accented voice say.
Turning around you saw Hangman walking up to you with a grin.
"It's Y/n." You said with a stone face before a small smirk appeared "Maybe next time you wont underestimate me."
His grin remained as he stopped in front of you, he cocked his head slightly "I don't make that same mistake twice."
"Good."
You saw his eyes scan you, as though he was trying to figure you out. Hearing his name called from the other side of the hangar, he looked back at you one more time before he began to walk backwards
His eyes stayed on you "You going up again today?"
"Yeah, why, wanna race?"
He smirked "Why you like losing?"
You smiled and cocked your head to the side "I like winning more."
He grinned as he began to turn away, winking "That makes two of us."
That was the first time you had really talked to Jake, and it was the first moment he made your heart flutter. You never thought it would grow past butterflies, but now, as you stood outside the festival, fearful and hopeful, you knew it had always been more.
You tried to reason with yourself. Tell yourself if it was anyone else, you would give them a chance. But you knew that was a lie. Anyone other than Jake wouldn't do. You had given your heart to the cocky blonde years ago, and no one one else would take his place, at least not easily.
You felt overwhelmed as you roamed around the festival. Your eyes cast over every face, your heart in a constant anxiety induced flutter. Your hand nervously fidgeted with the apple necklace around your neck.
Sipping on some hot cocoa to hopefully settle your nerves, you almost jumped out of your skin when someone tapped your shoulder.
"Sorry!" the man apologized with a smile as you turned towards him. "I was just told to give you this."
Taking the note from his hand you smiled "Thank you."
Looking around for the source of the note, you didn't see anyone you knew. Opening the note, you read over the words with growing curiosity.
'You didn't think I'd make it easy on you, did you? Find me where you first beat me.'
"Find me where you first beat me?" You questioned out loud. Looking up and around, the words puzzled you, until your eyes fell onto a nearby sign. 'Christmas tree maze.'
Suddenly a jolt of realization rocked through you. One summer, about a year after you and Jake had met, you ended up at a county fair on your day off. You liked to turn everything into a competition, even though Jake always won. Never by a lot, but he always won. Until, you went into a corn maze, betting whoever made it out first, won. It was the first time you beat him, and you did so by almost a minute.
Entering into the Christmas tree maze, you hoped you were right. You weren't very competitive with any of the others. So surely, this was a message from Jake.
Weaving through the tree maze, you smiled at the occasional couple, or family you crossed paths with. Your nerves were high as you expected to see Jake around every turn.
After what felt like an eternity, you made your way through one last path, and saw the exit ahead of you. As you approached, you wondered if he was waiting for you at the end. Or if you had missed him somewhere in the maze itself.
As you stepped outside, you looked around at everyone nearby, and felt a jolt of disappointment when you didn't see him anywhere. Did you take too long? Did he go back in to find you? Was this all some cruel joke?
Before you could move, you felt two hands slip over yours eyes, and your breath caught in your throat.
"Nine minutes and fourteen seconds. I beat you by over a minute."
You smiled as you pulled away from him, and turned to meet his smiling gaze. Your chest was heavy with anxiety, but you kept it hidden.
"I would have won if I hadn't gotten blocked by the Partridge family." You excused, something either of you often did when you lost.
Jake smiled as he glanced over your shoulder, easily spotting the very family you were referencing. "Eerie resemblance." He muttered before he looked back down at you.
You watched as he pulled out a single gardenia out from behind his back, that you assumed he had in his pocket. You couldn't help the grin as he handed it to you.
Smiling up at him you cocked your head slightly "Jake Seresin, a secret romantic, who would have guessed."
He shrugged his head slightly before he squinted and leaned forward a bit "If you tell anyone, I'll deny it"
You continued to grin before you spoke softly "I wont tell anyone. They wouldn't believe me anyway." You added on.
He fake winced as he placed his hand on his chest before chuckling softly. Taking a small step closer, he spoke softly "I don't just want our relationship to be based around competition and inside jokes."
"We're in a relationship?" You asked, feigning surprise. "I don't recall you asking me anything of the sort."
He smirked as he rolled his eyes dramatically. "Forgive me for thinking the confession through gifts was enough." He smiled, but shook his head "No, you're right. I didn't ask. But I am now. 'Cause I really can't imagine anyone else being as perfect for me, as you are."
He took another small step closer and leaned in, his face only a couple inches away from yours. Your eyes stared into each others.
"I want to be in a relationship with you Y/n, I have since we first met. And I'm hoping I'm right in assuming you feel the same."
It was an open-ended comment, a question of what you would be to each other now.
You smiled and nodded softly. "You are"
His eyes flicked to your lips briefly, before he met your eyes again. "I've also been wanting to kiss you since we first met." He confessed, a small smirk on his face.
You repressed rolling your eyes teasingly, but smiled. "Then why haven't you?"
Without any hesitation, Jake quickly leaned forward, his hand gently cupping your face as he kissed you. It started out soft, but deepened after a moment. His fingers slowly slid from your cheek to cupping your chin, gently tickling your skin.
When he pulled away, his hand lingered on your face, a his eyes studied you softly. He hummed lighlty under his breath.
"What?"
"Better than I imagined."
You giggled softly as you gently smacked his chest.
He chuckled as he pulled you closer to him, your chests almost pressed together. Kissing you again, you gently took the collar of his jacket in your hands, as his hands tightened around your waist.
Parting again, you both had soft, content smiles on your faces. Without speaking, you both knew you didn't want this moment, or this feeling to fade. So you stayed like this, gazing at each other for a few more moments, absorbing the feeling of true bliss.

You're Okay {Jurassicshipping} | Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Oneshot
“Stop being a wuss! It’s just a horror film!”
“I don’t wanna watch it!”
“Relax, Sy, it’s probably just a really crappily made horror film.”
“No it’s not! Slasher Movie 10 is a classic!”
Movie night in the Slifer Red Dorms had never been so chaotic. It was Chazz’s turn to pick a movie to watch, and naturally, he chose one of his favorites that he wanted everyone to watch – Slasher Movie 10, the best and most horrific one in the entire franchise. Everyone had agreed to it… well… except one person.
“Guys! Can’t I just go into a different room or something…?” mumbled Syrus, tense in all shapes of the word as he shifted uncomfortably on Chazz’s couch. His cheeks flared from embarrassment as all eyes laid on him.
“No wussing out! Last week, we all had to sit and watch your Pretty Little Pegasus and Dark Magician Girl movie!” Chazz huffed out with his arms crossed, “and that was garbage!”
“N-No it wasn’t! Your taste in movies is bad!” Syrus fired back. He crossed his arms and huffed out, turning his head to the side. Jaden was sitting on his right, looking down at Syrus with a big grin on his face.
“C’mon, Sy! It’s true, and it’s just a movie, after all, it can’t hurt you,” Jaden tried to convince Syrus to stay – it wouldn’t be the same if he left. Syrus felt all eyes on him, and he frowned a bit, feeling tense.
“Sy don’t gotta watch the movie if he don’t wanna,” Hassleberry chipped in. He was sitting on Syrus’ right, glancing down at the Syrus’ trembling figure. The trembling was barely noticeable but… couldn’t exactly escape the perspective eyesight of someone with dinosaur DNA coursing through his veins.
“We made an agreement that we all have to sit together and watch a movie every Saturday, together!” Jaden whined, “it wouldn’t be the same without Sy!” Alexis, Bastion, Jim, Jesse, Aster, Atticus, and even Axel nodded in agreement. It was true – the friend group had come to an agreement that each Saturday, someone would pick a movie to watch, and everyone would have to watch it. It was a stupid rule, but at the time, it didn’t seem like a bad idea. The movie nights were meant for everyone to have fun and hang out together, but that included everyone or else it wouldn’t be the same. Shoulders slumping, Syrus admitted to defeat. He was just gonna have to sit there and endure the horrific movie.
“Fine…” the light haired boy replied. Could he get anymore down on his luck than he already was? The group started to disperse only briefly, grabbing out snacks that were saved up for the movie night, along with blankets, pillows, and other necessities for the perfect movie night. For a few minutes, it was just Hassleberry and Syrus lingering on the couch within the room. The short boy sat with his hands clutching tightly to his pajama pants, trying to not to tremble. How bad could a movie titled ‘Slasher Movie 10’ be? It was probably just going to be a cheesy horror flick, knowing Chazz. It shouldn’t be something to worry about. Syrus could handle it, for sure!
“Private, you sure about this?” Hassleberry’s voice broke the silence, “there ain’t any shame in backing out.”
“I’m sure… everyone’ll be bummed out if I don’t stay,” Syrus pursued his lips, “it can’t be that scary, right? I mean, it’s Chazz we’re talking about here. I doubt he’d pick something genuinely scary. It’ll probably just be one of those cheesy horror flicks! I’m not worried.” Syrus lied through his teeth though, his hands shaking. Even cheesy horror flicks could be scary… well, at least for Syrus. Hassleberry’s eyes softened a bit, and worry clutched at his chest. Movies were meant to be fun, and Hassleberry didn’t fancy that Syrus wouldn’t be having any fun here. His cheeks flared a little bit and he cleared his throat
“If ya get scared, you can hold onto me,” Hassleberry murmured out quietly, but just loud enough for Syrus to hear. The short boy’s eyes widened and his face flushed redder than the Slifer Red uniforms.
“W-What? D-Don’t be ridiculous! I-I don’t need that–!” Syrus shook his head. Hassleberry flinched a bit, but he didn’t take it to heart. Syrus probably didn’t mean it in an odd way, but maybe he shouldn’t have offered. After all, it was considered a “girl” thing to be all cuddly with one another, especially watching scary movies together. It shouldn’t have been, but maybe Syrus’ family taught him it was. Before Hassleberry got a chance to reply, the others arrived back into the living room. Chazz turned off the lights, and now the only light came from the large television screen.
“I’ve got blankets and pillows,” Jim pointed out, “only a few, though.” Jim began passing out the blankets and pillows to everyone until there was one large pillow and blanket left. He handed that off to Hassleberry and Syrus. “Sorry fellas, you’ll probably have to share this one or fight over it.”
“No problem. Thank you, soldier,” the black haired boy nodded, before adjusting the pillow behind him and Syrus’ heads, making sure it fit them both. He then tossed the blanket over both of them, and got a bit closer to Syrus. He was pleased that Syrus didn’t move away – it was easy to read Truesdale’s expressions and body language. He wasn’t shaking as much as he was before, and he looked a bit flustered, but not uncomfortable. Hassleberry knew the jokes his friends would make about him, about how he would sometimes ‘not be so bright’, but he was a lot more observant than they thought. “Sy, you mind? The blanket’s big, but y’know.”
“D-Don’t mind,” Syrus shook his head and cleared his throat a bit.
“Alright, dorks, I’m gonna start the movie,” Chazz went over and put the movie on, sitting down as Alexis handed out snacks to everyone. Soon though, everyone was in their respective seats that they wanted to be in. Hassbelerry, Syrus, Jaden, and Jesse took up the long couch, while Jim and Alexis were cuddled up on one of the smaller couches. Jesse and Jaden the same while the others were spread out. The movie started, and Syrus shifted a little. How scary could this movie really be? He inhaled and exhaled, adjusting his glasses. This movie couldn’t be that bad! Syrus convinced himself it was nothing to worry about, that he had no valid reason to be worried. It was just a movie, he told himself. That’s what Jaden said originally. It was just a movie and it couldn’t hurt Syrus. Most movies were fictional… but some were based on true events… was this movie one of those? It couldn’t be! Not with a name like ‘Slasher Movie 10’... no way. The more he over-thought it, the more he could feel his chest bubbling. Something didn’t feel right. Biting his bottom lip, Syrus watched as the movie played on. It started  as just another creepy story – a doll made of pure porcelain was found in the attic of a family that just moved in. It couldn’t get any more scarier than that, even if the plotline was used quite often.
“How you doin’, private?” Hassleberry whispered – luckily for him, Chazz had made the movie’s sound so loud that any quiet conversations would be unheard by everyone else.
“Fine…” Syrus murmured quietly. He didn’t feel fine. The doll was creepy looking, and the story behind the doll was horrific.
“Can’t lie to me, Sy,” Hassleberry spoke quietly, glancing down at the short boy, who’s figure started to tremble again. It wasn’t unlikely that the others would tease and make fun of Hassleberry and Syrus if the pair got cuddly – sure, Jaden and Jesse were a thing and stuff… but Hassleberry hadn’t come to terms with the fact he’d have to tell Syrus how he felt about him. That wasn’t fun. Hassleberry never had a thing for guys until he met Syrus. He always liked girls, even before he’d come to terms with the fact he wasn’t a boy at birth. Syrus had changed a lot for him, and sure, the two had it rough at first, fighting over who was Jaden’s best friend. That was ridiculous now, though, and his eyes softened a bit. He shouldn’t have been afraid, though, because Syrus looked like he could use some comfort. The others meant no harm, but Hassleberry could see that this was a bad idea to force Syrus to watch a horror film. Should he do something? He wasn’t sure what to do exactly. Hassleberry didn’t want to touch Syrus affectionately without his permission.
… And there came a jumpscare. The silly protagonist’s husband had tried to get rid of the cursed doll for a decent portion of the movie, not enough to be boring, but enough to build a haunting atmosphere that increased in each minute of the film. The husband had gone to sleep for the night… only to toss and turn, and open his eyes. Everything seemed fine, until he sat up, and the doll jumped from the ceiling, ultimately killing the man with a slashing blade. Syrus jumped a bit, and before Hassleberry had a chance to react, Syrus was clinging onto him. Meek arms wrapped around Hassleberry’s muscular and bigger figure, and he was left speechless, seeing Syrus sink under the blanket with his head against the dino duelist’s chest. Hassleberry’s face flushed and he felt his chest tighten, trying not to freak out from the amount of emotion he was feeling right now. The guy he had a thing for, the guy who changed his whole world… and Syrus was cuddling him. It made him feel happy, but he tried not to get too excited – Syrus probably was just seeking comfort, so he jumped to someone who could give him that.
If that was the case, why didn’t Syrus jump to Jaden – someone he’d known for much longer than Hassleberry?
It was that thought that changed his mind’s process. If Syrus just jumped to someone for comfort, he would’ve jumped to Jaden. They had known each other since first entering Duel Academy, so it made sense that Jaden would’ve been the one Syrus clung to, but he didn’t.
“H-Hassleberry… I-I’m scared…” it was quiet, but the dino duelist heard it loud and clear, even over the loud volume of the movie. Hassleberry’s chest tightened in his ribcage and he tensed up. Underneath the blanket, he hooked an arm around Syrus’ small figure, holding him close. He could feel just how scared Syrus was in his hold, biting his bottom lip a little bit. Damn. He wished the others hadn’t sort of forced Syrus to do something he didn’t want to do. The poor thing would probably be traumatized for life now because of this movie – he’d ever be able to look at a doll the same.
“Oh, you guys are watching Slasher Movie 10? Dude, that movie is like, garbage,” Chazz paused the movie when he heard Aster’s voice, and the gray haired boy entered into the dorm room, hands on his hips. “Got any room for me? Pro dueling has been stressing me out, I need a good thing to laugh at.”
“Garbage?! Shut your mouth, Phoenix! This is a classic!” Chazz exclaimed. Even the bickering wasn’t enough to ease Syrus’ nerves. The short man still clung desperately to Hassleberry, his head only briefly peeking out from underneath the blanket. Aster walked to one of the couches before getting comfortable himself.
“What part are we up to?” Aster asked.
“The part where the doll kills the husband and starts using him as a possessed toy to spook the other members of his family,” Jaden stated, “this movie’s got no shame being scary.”
“I’ve seen scarier. Haunted in Hell is a personal favorite of mine,” Aster smirked, “it’s about someone who gets the death penalty for all the crimes he’s committed and he’s sent down and forever tortured in Hell. Some deep stuff.” Syrus shuddered at that. A movie about eternal torture? He could only imagine just how terrifying that was. He shuddered, displeased even.
“Of course you’d watch something where a criminal gets punished like that,” murmured Chazz, “now, can we go back to watching the movie? I’m getting bored here.” The others sweatdropped a bit, the kind of cold sweat that was a bit awkward – it had hardly been any time at all wasted! Syrus sighed quietly as he could hear the movie being unpaused, and silence overtaking the group of people. Sure, he couldn’t see the movie anymore, being under the blanket and all, but he was still pretty frightened by the grotesque sounds. He clenched tighter onto Hassleberry, and in return, Syrus could feel Hassleberry’s arm around him tighten its hold, as though trying to comfort and shield the short boy from the fearful things on the screen. It didn’t help that Chazz’s dorm room had surround sound so… the gross sounds were everywhere. Syrus shuddered, and pressed his head into the side of Hassleberry’s chest. The entire time, the strong boy was sitting with his face flush, keeping Syrus as close to him as possible. It was odd… Syrus never expected Hassleberry to smell nice. He expected him to smell like sweat, something what people would consider more manly. Hassleberry smelled nice, though. Syrus couldn’t put his finger on it. He rested a bit more snugly against his friend, his cheeks flaring a bit. Despite the fluster, he still felt… oddly happy like this in Hassleberry’s arms – it wasn’t something he ever considered. His chest tightened a little bit, and for a few moments, Syrus felt like he could fall asleep right in Hassleberry’s arms.
… Until the sound of a gut-wrenching jumpscare could be heard, and despite not seeing it, Syrus jumped. Hassleberry tugged him closer, and conversations from the others could be heard.
“Damn, he just… killed himself to save his kids? That’s tragic,” Jim replied.
“I knew that was going to happen,” Aster rolled his eyes, “a cliche.”
“It's not cliche! You’re just boring!” hissed Chazz. The others laughed at the banter, but Syrus didn’t. He clutched onto Hassleberry’s pajama shirt, his hands trembling. He tried to think happy thoughts, tried to stay calm. Hassleberry’s comforting embrace helped though, and Syrus never saw the day he’d be this comfortable with him. He calmed down a little bit, still trembling in Hassleberry’s hold. The movie went on, and continued. The movie was frightening, and overall, wasn’t even remotely enjoyable for Syrus – or for Hassleberry. A horror movie about a possessed doll? Yeah, no. Now, Hassleberry wasn’t scared of porcelain dolls in any means, but he wasn’t a fan of something so grotesque. He wished he could sneak Syrus out of here so he didn’t have to sit through the rest of the movie, but saying he fell asleep wasn’t a viable option. Everyone here knew Syrus – he would never fall asleep if he was this scared. Maybe Hassleberry could use an excuse that Syrus was so scared he’d passed out from fear but… eh… that wasn’t a viable option, either. Damn it! He wasn’t sure what to do to get Syrus out of this awful situation; he’d already experienced too much of this unpleasant movie.
“H-Hassleberry…” Syrus murmured softly, tugging on Hassleberry’s pajama top. The boy looked down at him, though Syrus remained hidden underneath the blanket.
“What’s up, Sy?” whispered the dino duelist in return.
“I-I’m sorry…” Syrus whispered once again, and Hassleberry was left confused.
“You got nothing to apologize for, private. The others should be doin’ that; they’re making you watch this awful movie. Everybody’s afraid of somethin’, they should’ve been respectful of what you were afraid of,” the black haired boy nodded, clutching Syrus closer than before. This time, the short boy didn’t reply, but Hassleberry could tell that Syrus softened up a bit to his words, and it made his heart warm. Innocent intentions often could cause harm to others, and Hassleberry knew that. Everyone wanted Syrus there because it wouldn’t be the same without him, and they wanted to spend time with him – but that left Syrus in an awful position where he felt guilty for chickening out, and decided that he should force himself to stay and watch a movie that’d definitely give him nightmares. Another jumpscare came with screams and gut-wrenching noises… and when Syrus let out a quiet whimper, enough was enough. “C’mon, we’re getting out of here.” Hassleberry scooped Syrus up on his arms, keeping the short man covered by the blanket, before turning on his heel after getting off the couch. He hoped no one would notice – thankfully, no one did, and if they had noticed, no one made a comment. Hassleberry snuck out of Chazz’s dorm room while carrying Syrus, before heading back to their shared dorm room. Once inside, Hassleberry carefully placed Syrus down on his bed after managing up the bunk bed ladder, and he sighed softly. “How’re you doin’, soldier?” Syrus poked his head out from the blanket.
“Y-You tell me–!” he exclaimed, shifting to remove his slippers, tossing them off the edge of the bunk bed, “how am I supposed to get any sleep tonight…?” It was a rhetorical question, not one to be answered, but Hassleberry decided he wanted to give him an answer anyway.
“Cause you won't be alone, Syrus,” Hassleberry removed his shoes, “scoot over, will ya?” Syrus’ face flushed, but he didn’t retort anything, scooting over on the bed. Hassleberry tossed his slippers down before climbing into his bunk, sliding underneath the blankets with Syrus. “You’re still tremblin’ like a leaf, private.”
“Y-You would too if you just watched a scary movie and you were scared of it! They’re all gonna have our heads for leaving, you know!” Syrus bickered, but Hassleberry didn’t reply to that. He wrapped his arms around Syrus loosely, tugging him only slightly close. He could tell Syrus was trembling from the way the blankets shook lightly, and it was painful to witness. To think, all this could’ve been avoided if everyone considered Syrus’ feelings, but like usual, Hassleberry seemed the most in tune with Syrus’ emotions.
“Yeah, you’re right. It didn’t scare me, I don’t got a clue what you’re dealing with,” Hassleberry admitted, “but you’re scared right now, and that’s what matters right now.” Syrus tensed a bit further, but he tried to calm himself down, tensing a little bit as he swallowed tightly. Hassleberry really did seem to understand this, didn’t he? Syrus would always make comments about how Hassleberry wasn’t the most observant, but maybe he was indeed wrong.
“You’re putting t-to much of an effort into a crybaby,” murmured the machine deck duelist, who swallowed tightly. Why did he feel scared? Was it perhaps he was worried Hassleberry would realize Syrus wasn’t worth the time, and he’d leave him all by his lonesome? He wanted the words back as soon as they left his lips but… that was difficult, considering it was impossible to take words back.
“Yeah,” the tall boy spoke, “but I don’t regret it. Sy…” Hassleberry heaved a sigh as he tensed up, “Sy, I like ya. I like ya a lot.”
“L-Like… l-like bros, right?” Syrus asked, blush creeping on his cheeks.
“No,” Hassleberry replied. He was brave. He could do this. He wouldn’t be afraid of doing this, it needed to be said. “I like you how Chazz used to like Alexis… except less annoying and less pushy.” Hassleberry thought on his words, however, and pursued his lips. “... It’s alright if you don’t feel the same. I get it. I’m real sorry if I made you uncomfortable.” There was silence that overcame the two of them, but Syrus didn’t jerk away from Hassleberry after that confession. It was just quiet, and for a good while, the dino duelist had assumed that the machine duelist had fallen asleep. If that was the case, then Hassleberry wasn’t even worried about whether or not Syrus heard his confession… but he wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to say those words again. They were hard to say once, but twice without knowing where Syrus’ feelings lied? That was the real scary part.
“I-I think I like you too…” Syrus had broken the silence after what felt like ages, “l-like… t-the same way you like me. I never… I never really liked a guy up until you…”
“... Yeah, me neither,” murmured the black haired boy, “something to adjust to, I guess.” Syrus nodded his head, and the two fell silent again, but only for a few moments. “... So are we like… a thing now…?”
“I-If you want…” mumbled Syrus.
“Sy, I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want it,” the muscular boy chuckled a bit as he clutched Syrus closer, “get some shut eye, private. You earned it from battling all the fear you endured tonight.” Syrus nodded. He felt comfortable, like he would be able to sleep. He felt the comforting warmth take over him, and he soon fell asleep. Hassleberry smiled a bit, watching the way Syrus snuggled up into him. He was relieved, happy that the horrors of that damn movie had washed away somewhat. Hassleberry himself ended up falling asleep, more comfortable than anything in Syrus’ embrace.
* * *
The dino duelist crawled out of the bunk bed when he heard the sounds of movement outside. He didn’t wish to wake his beloved up, so he carefully made his way down the bunk ladder and slid into his slippers, popping out to see his group of friends hanging out on the balcony railing, talking about the movie. He grew a bit annoyed, and when Jaden saw him, things changed.
“Hey Hassleberry! Where’s Sy? You guys left earlier,” Jaden pointed out with a frown on his lips, “why?”
“Cause Syrus was scared,” Hassleberry frowned, and his eyebrows narrowed, “sergeant, usually I’m on board with all your decisions, but this one I just can’t get behind. You guys all forced Syrus to sit through a movie he didn’t like.”
“But he made us sit through–” Chazz didn’t get to finish his sentence.
“Did that movie make you uncomfortable? Did it give ya nightmares?” Hassleberry retorted, crossing his arms. No one answered. “Didn’t think so. I think you guys should apologize to the little fella tomorrow, cause he wouldn’t make you guys watch something that’d downright traumatize you, and I don’t wanna hear any ‘ifs’, ‘ands’, or ‘buts’ about it!” The others were silent, before each of them nodding their head in agreement, even the more difficult ones agreed to such. Hassleberry turned on his heel and entered the dorm he shared with Syrus and Jaden, with Jaden following behind after bidding goodnight to everyone else.
“Where is Sy?” Jaden asked, being greeted with a stern glare from his taller friend.
“He’s asleep in my bed, and hush up, you’ll wake him up,” Hassleberry scolded before slipping off his slippers and climbing up the bunk. He got underneath the blankets with Syrus, snuggling back up to the shorter man. Jaden stared as he watched this unfold – he did not get the memo why the two were sharing a bed, but eh, if it made them happy, Jaden wouldn’t judge. It wasn’t like he hadn’t fallen asleep in Jesse’s arms on the couch or something. He climbed into bed as well, and the lights turned off, everyone resting for the night.
In truth, however, Syrus hadn’t been asleep entirely. When Hassleberry left to go scold everyone, Syrus had woken up without a word, or giving his boyfriend knowledge that he was awake. To think, Hassleberry had scolded everyone on his behalf, made them realize maybe they’d been too pushy… it was heartwarming, and Syrus found himself smiling into his boyfriend’s embrace, falling asleep once again, and this time, not waking up until sunrise. He was okay, he was okay because of Hassleberry, because Hassleberry cared for him and loved him… Syrus considered himself a very lucky kid that he had him.

Hey! i wanted to ask the mercenaries (tf2) knowing a brazilian s/o with a very strong accent (and he can speak a little spanish because of his father) who usually plays guitar/cavaquinho and doesn't know much english plzzzzz (like they didn't have time to learn English and don't understand much of what mercenaries talk about)
se quiser pode ignorá-lo e desculpe se escrevi algo errado :]
No problem! As always, I'm open to requests! Just make sure to keep them SFW (Safe for work). I hope you don't mind, but I also made the reader speak Portuguese.
Mercs x Reader Who Speaks Portuguese and Spanish/Is From Brazil
A/n: Sorry if it seems I'm stereotyping, I'm not. I did a little bit of research on the internet. If there's anything incorrect, please let me know so I can correct it! No Ms. Pauling this time, sorry guys.
Scout:
Every weekend, Scout would come over after a hard week of fighting just to spend time with you. He jabbered about everything, unaware that you really understood. You just nodded and smiled. When he found out you didn’t know much English, he brought it upon himself to teach you. Your accent was very strong, but that did not stop Scout from helping you out. He even learned some basic Spanish and Portuguese to help you understand.
Once, while returning from work to visit you, Scout heard you playing the cavaquinho and singing a nice melody. He was really impressed by your musical skills. You offered to teach him lessons and he accepted. In a matter of a month, he could not only play his bongo drums, but now he could play the cavaquinho just like you! As a bonus, you taught him how to dance.
Back home at the base, Scout now spoke some Spanish and plenty of Portuguese. Spy understood what he said, but everyone else was just confused. Scout even brought you over to help show off his new skills. You gladly agreed to help and the two of you amazed everyone. You even played a samba remix of Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual.”
Soldier:
Soldier first met you at an outdoor cafe playing a gentle melody on a guitar. He listened to the entire song and was captivated. He approached you and began to ramble on about how good you were. You simply smiled and replied, “Gracias.” He immediately understood you knew very little English and wasn’t too harsh about it.
He’d visit you every day and try to understand what you said without learning anything. Even if you knew a bit of Spanish, he still learned the basics for it. You learned a little English and talked to Soldier, trying to see if you knew anything. He adored your accent. Eventually, you two became a couple. He showed you around the base and you gained everyone’s trust.
Soldier loved your singing as well as your cooking. You were good at it. Soldier was always happy to have a slice of dinner you made. He worked hard every day and deserved the best. So when he returned home, you made him his favorite empadão, the way your father taught you. Soldier was glad to have met you.
Pyro:
Pyro understood you perfectly, despite the heavy accent. He did not care whether you talked to him in Spanish, Portuguese, or English. He loved you as who you were. You on the other hand did not understand Pyro but tried to make the best of it. The mumbling surely but slowly began to make sense the more time you spent with the fire-loving mercenary. He even picked up some Spanish and Portuguese.
Pyro was enchanted by your music skills. You were excellent at the guitar. But, because he’s a pyromaniac, he may or may not have burned your guitar like Jimi Hendrix did. You got mad at him, but you couldn’t stay mad at him for long. You did lose your guitar, crafted and gifted to you by your father. Pyro felt guilty. So he saved up to buy you Jimi Hendrix’s guitar, which he managed to get.
But even then, the famous guitar was not enough. Your father was nearly scared to death when Pyro visited him, begging for him to build you another guitar. He agreed and let Pyro scorch his name on the inside so you knew it was a gift from him. You smiled and planted a kiss on his mask the day Pyro gave you your new guitar. He was all flustered and did not set the guitar on fire this time.
Demo:
You both had heavy accents that at most times, no one understood what you were saying. Demo was overprotective of you. If anyone made fun of you, he’d hit them in the back of the head really hard. You understood him perfectly well. He understood you too. He even took the time to learn Portuguese! You had a fun time helping him perfect it. You both took lessons on learning Spanish as well.
Demo never knew you played the cavaquinho. He did a little research on the instrument and found some classes for you to take, since you were a self-taught learner. He thought you could benefit from it. And you did! You were a professional by the end of the month. Demo helped you practice every day and night. He was a good teacher. He picked up some of the musical basics as well.
Demo may have loved the conga, but he sure loved to samba! Especially with you! Every evening, after he returned home, he would turn on the radio and begin to dance with you in the living room. He always says, in a singing tone, “Samba, samba, samba!” Sometimes he’d freestyle it, making you laugh. Even Eyelander joined in the dancing. Then you’d all pass out on the couch from exhaustion and have a good night’s sleep.
Heavy:
At the time, Heavy did not know that Spanish and Portuguese existed. He knew four languages existed. Russian, German, French, and English. He was scared to approach you. There was no way he could speak to you. You weren’t fluent in English (neither was he) and to be honest, he didn’t understand you. Although, he liked your accent. It made him feel comforted. That’s one factor that helped him talk to you.
Another factor was that Heavy decided to approach you through music. Like Demoman, he did research. But he didn’t use it. He found you in a music story, singing and strumming the guitars. He watched you the entire time, not like a creep, and decided that was how he was going to talk to you. So he picked up a music book, bought a guitar, and invited you to the base. You were impressed at how fast he learned guitar, even though it was senseless strumming.
Heavy started to talk to you more often, gaining confidence more and more. He taught you of his culture and you taught him yours. He began to switch back and forth in all the languages he now knew. You switched back and forth as well. Recipes were passed down. Sandwich dates, AKA, picnics, were his favorite things. Especially when you made them.
Engineer:
When Engineer first met you, your accent gave it away. He understood it. There was no need to worry. He knew how to speak Spanish. Portuguese was a bit forgien to him, but that would not stop him from learning it. He even helped you learn some more Spanish and become fluent in it! He translated English words for you so you could learn some words, which you did.
Engineer knew how to play the guitar as well. For fun, he challenged you to music battles and let you win. On some occasions of course! Every Friday, it was duet night in front of a bonfire. As a gift, you bought him a cavaquinho. It wasn’t any different than a guitar for him. It was really easy for him to learn how to play it properly. So now there are cavaquinho nights every other weekend.
Engineer knew how to make dishes like feijoada and pastel. Some dishes came from people he knew back home, like pozole and enfrijoladas! You were never hungry. This Texan always made sure you were fed. He even packed you lunch before you left! He always left little, sweet notes for you.
Medic:
You were also a doctor, helping patients get the help they needed, unlike Medic, who would probably experiment on them. He met you while stuck in the hospital for an unknown reason. While you tended to other patients, he always noticed you spoke in Portuguese first, followed by English and then Spanish, since you knew just a little bit. In his time at the hospital, he made it his mission to learn Portuguese and Spanish.
After returning to work, Medic scoured the Teufort libraries for books on how to speak Spanish and Portuguese to continue his lessons. He learned as much as he could. He found you playing music for the children on his return to find you. You seemed so professional, so elegant strumming the guitar. After your performance, he approached you and asked you out for coffee, in terrible Spanish. You knew what he was trying to say but it was funny. So you agreed. From there, Medic tried his best, but he always slipped back into English. Sometimes German as well.
He always invited you to the base, which he claimed to be his house/workspace. Of course, you were smart enough to know it was not a home, but you didn’t mind. Medic was a funny guy. The “I lost my medical license” joke was your favorite (even though it actually happened). He was always getting mad at Archimedes for interrupting sweet moments between the two of you. Unfortunately, you had taught Medic some curse words he used on the poor bird.
Sniper:
He was shy to approach you when you first met him. He just watched you on the stage, putting passion into playing the guitar. He was going to talk to you when you finished the performance. But he didn’t need to. You came directly to him. You spoke.in rapid Spanish, switching between Portuguese as well. Sniper didn’t reply and just nodded. You smiled, understanding he didn’t understand and said everything again slowly in English.
You had an interest in guitar as well as in saxophone. Sniper was willing to teach you. He got a chance to open up and start talking more, since he didn’t talk often. You were the one always talking. During lessons, he would talk about his family. It was so nice to hear him talk. You talked about your family as well. He wanted to meet your father as soon as you mentioned he was the one who taught you how to play the guitar. The saxophone lessons were never completed.
Sniper liked to take you out to the lake and have small, candlelit dinners, courtesy of Spy. You spoke in your native language(s) while talking with Sniper. He didn’t mind. He made sense of what you were talking about. Even when you spoke English, he understood you. The other mercs did not understand completely what was going on with you two, but whatever it was, it was making Sniper happy.
Spy
Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese  were known as the romance languages and Spy knew all four. He used Spanish and Portuguese around you. He was calm, cool when approaching you first. He worked hard to make himself the best. He expected you to let him do all the talking, but he was thrown off track when you started talking first and asked him out for dinner the following night. Shocked, he agreed.
That first date, he was impressed by you. You knew little English and Spanish, but Spy helped you with that. After that, every evening, Spy would invite you over. After dinner, you would play either the cavaquinho or guitar. He loved hearing you play. You would always take his requests and play them. Sometimes it was just small conversations in Spanish while letting the radio play.
When it came to dancing with you, Spy made sure you enjoyed it. He tried to make it fun, but he always had this urge to make it romantic in a way. Flamenco was not Brazil’s traditional dance, which Spy was good at. So he decided to learn samba. Unlike Demoman, he was more passionate about it and did not freestyle. He stuck to the classic moves. Sometimes, he’d let you lead in dance.

Could you have a Sho x reader that has said reader compare Sho to a cat? I mean, you can't tell me those face markings don't look like whiskers. Maybe even have her call him "Kitty".
"You're purring," you tell him, as you run your hand through his hair. He's fallen over onto your lap, head on your thighs, rest of his lanky body laid out on the floor in the sunlight from the window.
He grunts, leans into your hand, and then curls his knees into his chest as much as he can.
It's a late spring day, soon the season will change for the worse - Summer is a special kind of hell - but for now it's cool enough to sit in the light of the windows while you read your materials. Sho on the other hand, is partial to sleep. You put your reading down, and pick up a pen, a clean sheet of note paper beside you.
Sleeps in the sunlight, likes pats, willful, nocturnal
That last one, you roll around in your head. Sho will literally be awake any hour of the day, as long as it wasn't in direct daylight. Most nights he'd insist on, admittedly romantic, walks through Shibuya, showing you all kinds of projects that he'd created earlier that evening, or to a new place for a project to go.
Sho didn't eat fish too much however, that was the one snag. Real cats loved fish, but while he'd eat it, Sho's real passion was sugar. Then again...
"Being fussy is just like a cat, isn't it," You smile, tapping his cheek with your fingers, "My little kitty."
"Little kitty?" He laughs, lifting himself off your lap, stretching languidly.
"We both know I'm not just a little kitty," He grins, leaning into your face, kissing you teasingly, "But that can all wait till after naptime."
