While Ryoma’s fishing prowess can’t compare to that of his wife’s, he’s more than happy to participate in a friendly competition between father and son. Fishing was a test of patience, akin to meditation in practice. It would be perfect for both a relaxing and resourceful day. He nods approvingly at the idea.

Encountering Shiro out in the training grounds had been a point of interest- the young prince was famed for being competitive, so of course Niles had taken it upon himself to give him a challenge he would find it immensely difficult to succeed at. Watching him get frustrated was delightful. "Come on, try again. It's not THAT hard, little prince..."

It was obvious Shiro hadn’t participated in such an activity in his Deep Realms before. But ah, Leo could do what he could to help for now.

“Come along. We will boil then paint.” A slight smirk came to the prince’s face “Don’t worry. You’ll be able to gift one of these to your little crush by the end of the day.”

      He gave his son a particular look when he expressed having wished that he had not seen the mere act of kissing. Underneath the look was laid a bemused expression of the Hoshidian Prince. Ryouma had to maintain a certain image and such display of emotions was often met with curious looks. Then again that was par of the course for the culture of Hoshido. Ryouma never had a good track record of conveying his words seamlessly when it came to his personal life. Outside the mask of shining beacon for his people.     Thankfully his wife was the exception to his emotional crutch. So he was usually ready to indulge in expressing his feelings through actions more comfortably. In which, his son seemed to have watched him and his wife do such an action.     “You express your distaste now, but, in time you will find that one special person you will hold near and dear. On that day you will understand that feeling.” He ruffled his Shiro’s hair.
