#10. Warmth/Claws

Selfshiptober 2024 | [WC: 221] / i saw claws and thought of her nails so this was the obvious answer for what to write! i hope you enjoy it <3

It isn't often that she gets to feel all soft and hazy like this. Her eyes remain shut as Arlecchino's heartbeat flutters under her ear, the soothing rhythm nearly lulling her back to sleep.

They don't get these kind of mornings often -- mornings where neither has to go anywhere and they can just lounge in bed until one of the children inevitably needs them. If you asked April whether the sun was up yet or what time it was, she'd have no answer.

Lips press against the top of her head and her arms tighten, snuggling her closer to the warmth of her lover's body. The blankets form a nice little cocoon around them, making a warm nest that neither are too keen on leaving.

A soft sigh leaves April's mouth as nails gently drag down her back, gentle despite the sharpness of them. Arlecchino could easily hurt her with those nails, but the most she'd ever do is enough to leave faint scratch marks.

April doesn't envy those who face the full brunt of her claws.

Currently, she's scratching her just lightly enough to send shivers down her spine, the feeling akin to a cat being scratched. Something pleasurable. Something that sinks her down further into the warm fuzziness she's experiencing.
