Why do people ship Frederick and Virion?! They hate each other.
pretty sure that there's a Homestuck word for that

Can the Jakeden and Tomden shippers stop acting like they’re oppressed for liking their gay white twink ships over Jaiden?
They complain more about being “attacked” than people actually attacking them.
They’re like the white people of the fandom. Claim they’re oppressed but the actual “oppression” is just them being made fun of for embarrassing themselves

Alright, do you want to know why I really hate nemma? It’s because it DID ruin my gay ships. Yeah, I fucking said it. Not noco or alenoah though, I’m talking about nowen. They fucking robbed us. They gave us two of the gayest characters ever closer to each other than with anyone else and didn’t even let them be ambiguous. I can’t even write post canon works without thinking what the fuck I have to do with nemma. RR should have been the nowen season. Rewrites NOW. Nowen canon NOW. I hate it here.

Deciding to try this out cuz I can't comfortably rant about it anywhere else other than private DMs, and it's really eating away at me (I'm trying to move past it but my brain hates me and keeps running it through my head). Solar and Nebula. I just straight up don't like it and doesn't feel in character for Solar to me. It's also just extremely weird to have a character who's been shown to be single and very family oriented. I get that it's good for Solar to have someone he can confide in OUTSIDE the family, and that it's supposed to be a super chill and subtle thing. But I just hate it every time it's brought up. It just feels like almost every character has been shipped with someone else, either in canon or fanon.
Fanon I'm more okay with cuz I can just ignore it and continue to enjoy the shows. But if it's canon, I can't fucking do that. I've tried to look at the good parts, but it still pisses me off and makes me uncomfortable.
Next one is Eclipse and Roxy. The guy has SPECIFICALLY & VERY CLEARLY stated that he HATES romance. Oh, Eclipse asked Earth twice what she thinks of her. Why does it always have to be god damn romance! Am I being hypocritical? Probably idfk, I'm very on and off with romance and ships and whatever. I see it as Eclipse asking his first ever friend, who he can really be himself around and not hold back, if she approves of his newest friend. Whom of which has a very similar personality as him and can put him in his place when needed etc. I loved how she was able to comfort Eclipse in the recent episode. She is the first and only person ever to see him full on cry.
Just like how I feel that Solar doesn't need fucking romance to have meaningful bonds, Eclipse doesn't either. They both have had so much shit happen to them, and I personally think it's inappropriate to start dating someone in such a situation. Solar just realized how much he actually cares about Jack and is accepting becoming a father. Same with Eclipse. They don't need a partner to get the help and comfort they need when a familial/platonic relationship works perfectly fine.
Sorry if I sound too harsh or pissy, I know it's all fictional and shouldn't really matter, but I can't help how it makes me feel at times. Fuck *exasperated sigh* Thanks for listening to my rant. I just wanted to feel comfortable someplace to truly express my thoughts and feelings without getting fucking called out and humiliated.
Despite the purpose and over all existence of this blog, my mod is actually aroace, so they actually understand your feelings rather well, Anon.
((yeah lol i do to a T. i don't really watch the shows anymore- just run this blog and exist in the fandom-space. do i personally care about solxneb or roxyxclipse? nope, but i answer the confessions regardless because it be mein Job. i still don't like letting in ship-negativity asks through, but eh. i'll make an exception. ooga booga))

I find it hilarious when Ch@rlastors use the deal scene from ep7 to prove the ship has "so much chemistry" and that its "so romantic", like I challenge you to find one screenshot from that scene where Charlie doesn't look uncomfortable as hell.
Omg scared/uncomfortable girl and manipulative guy who doesn't respect her boundaries using her at her lowest for his own personal gain, peak romance😍!!! /s

me when people ship two people that literally act like siblings so it doesn’t make any sense and then blatantly ignore a ship that doesn’t feel like incest:

Mark/David is just Squidward/SpongeBob but with twinks while being less interesting, less funny and less possible.
I can't say it out loud or I'll get crucified.
Welp, you've come to the right place lol

I hate how the crew wasted so much time developing unneeded and rushed shit and completely ignored things that needed to be touched. They had no shame in ignoring characters like, Emira, Amity, Gus, etc.
They wasted chunks of episodes trying to redeem Alador just so the fandom can be happy, (Y'all just like him cause you get to baby him over your ADHD or Autistic headcanons about him and cause you can ship him with Darius). Yet ignore things like Amity as a character outside of Lumity, or Emira. Emira is great and would have been a good example of a child losing their childhood cause they had to raise their siblings. Credit to the anon who brought this to my attention.
Wasted episodes trying to shove Huntlow in our faces, it was unnecessary and bland. They worked well as friends, it made no sense that they tried to add another Canon ship.
If those didn't happen, we would have gotten so much. I hate how Amity's dream of joining the Emperors Coven was shifted to something Odalia forced on her. She was shown being SO HAPPY over the thought of joining the coven and got rightfully mad over being humiliated in front of said coven. But noooo, she's Luz's girlfriend now she can't have a goal that doesn't involve her sweet potato!!!!
Advice to anyone wanting to make a piece of media, don't clog up the story with unnecessary bullshit to the point you neglect characters with potential to be great. ESPECIALLY if you know well that you won't have time for development of said thing(s).

No hate to the shippers, who in my experience have all been pretty nice people, but Doro//grid has never been a ship that worked for me. For a while, I very strongly thought of Ingrid as only straight, and so I assumed that was a part of why it didn't click.**
But lately, I have been really enjoying lesbian!Ingrid (as well as aro!Ingrid and straight!Ingrid, and I have a whole ramble about how I find it concerning how fandom in general is sometimes weird about the concept of women being straight but whatever this isn't about that). And the ship still doesn't work for me.
So it is, admittedly, kind of funny to me to imagine them reuniting after the war. Ingrid has a wife now, and Dorothea is like "omg I'm so glad you got over that internalized homophobia! I had a suspicion that was why you reacted to me that way haha". and Ingrid is like ? no. i just Didn't Like You romantically.
** the other reason is that personally, I don't read Ingrid's reaction as internalized homophobia. I see it as a pretty firm rejection, and as much as I do love Dorothea, I think it was insensitive of her to not take no for an answer. It skeeves me out. I don't think it makes sense for her backstory, as a woman who has been sexually harassed before and is constantly thinking about her own autonomy, but also that is the way the support is written.
Again, this isn't any hate to people who do interpret the support as internalized homophobia- I can understand how somebody could come to that conclusion, and I hope the shippers are all having fun.

love awakening so bad, it was my very first fire emblem game back when it came out. i still have my copy of the game and my 3ds. but i hate how we're forced to romance chrom up with someone. and if we don't do that, then some random ass maiden comes in and marries him instead. why do we have to do that????? let love lose. lucina was birthed out of him anyway. he just said "yeah i want a daughter" and then pop went the weasel or something

When I was in middle school I was a diehard Duncney fan and I remember watching the Gwuncan kiss on the family iPad while hiding in my closet and it fucking shook me. And then my mom came in and said I had to go to bed even though I pleaded to watch one more episode. I was wrecked the whole night and the next school day. Most gut wrenching despair I ever experienced at that age. Possibly ever.
I wish I had known you back then, we literally would have been best friends

I just wrote a small piece of writing about why I dislike Huntlow so much and love Willuz, personally. Copied and pasted here.
Huntlow sucks absolute ass.
Character death for both Hunter and Willow
Hunter needed more time to work on himself. He was absolutely lost without his structure and chain of command. He replaced the Coven with Willow, he viewed her as his new “commander” of sorts, only addressing her as “Captain” for the longest time.
Meanwhile it feels like they had to write away a decent amount of Willow’s character to make Huntlow work better imo. She was definitely on the path to becoming the “strong, independent woman” of the show, even if cliché, all this was thrown away to put her right at Hunter’s side.
Honestly I think Willuz would’ve worked amazingly. Both Willow and Luz are incredibly independent and kind characters, and would’ve worked incredibly well together, allowing the both of them to be themselves, but together. I like Lumity, but I feel Willuz would’ve been phenomenal.
