#0084: Doduo

Doduo is a bird Pokemon that resembles a kiwi with a long neck, which makes it look like an ostrich. It has brown feathers on its body and two heads, black beady eyes, a light brown beak on each head, brown feet with four white claws, and two necks that are black on males and light brown on females. Doduo is a pretty basic, but cute, Pokemon for me. I have never thought about adding it to a team, but I like it. Its design and palette are pretty simple, yet never boring. It's just a brown kiwi-ostrich. A pretty original concept executed just right.

Shiny Doduo has lime-colored feathers instead of brown, and its beaks and legs change to a light yellow color. In females, its necks also go from light brown to this same light yellow. Everything else is unchanged, although there wasn't much to change. I think this shiny palette looks silly, in a good way. The lime-green color looks great on Doduo's design, and the light yellow parts complements the feathers quite nicely. Also, I feel like it being green could be a reference to the flesh of the kiwi fruit.
