god, shinji's gonna be so sad when he finds out that all along masae was a sociopathic, self-serving cannibal who 100% knew what aizen was up to and not only didn't care but openly encouraged him and gave him ideas :((

The worst part? Masae is exactly the same person! Unlike Aizen Masae never hid his personality! He’s still lazy, callous, and acts like he’s got a private joke he might share if he likes you enough. He’s not manipulative, or even particularly subtle!

Unlike Aizen, Masae is the person Shinji rembers.

And that? That means that it was Shinji who didn’t see. It was Shinji, who was so proud of his intuition, who was fooling himself.

(Shinji still likes Masae as a person, that sad bastard ;-;)
