Kamen Rider Agito

I talked about this a little bit ago on my Twitter, but I figured I'd talk about it here as well.

It was about three or four months ago that I'd managed to get my girlfriend (shock horror, I have a girlfriend) to watch Shin Kamen Rider, one of the coolest toku films i've ever seen. She loved it, she laughed at minor details like the cyclone motorcycle following Takeshi Hongo and Ruriko Midorikawa, even took a great liking to the Scorpion Aug character and cried at certain scenes.

On the 13th of September, we decided to start watching a Kamen Rider show together, which turned out to be the second entry for Kamen Rider's Heisei Era: Kamen Rider Agito.

Kamen Rider Agito was actually a lot of fun to watch and it was worth seeing her get emotionally invested into the story of amnesiac Shouichi Tsugami and his recurring battles with creatures dubbed as "Unknowns" by the police as well as the ongoing mystery of who Tsugami was in the past and how those past events shape the present day.

As of recently, we just finished Kamen Rider Agito, though we still need to go and watch the movie associated with the series as well. She was tearing up through episode 50 as the plot was reaching its emotional climax.

Right now she's joining me on my journey through the original Kamen Rider series and we're making our way through Kamen Rider Ryuki. We also plan to go through other shows like Kamen Rider Amazon, Kamen Rider Kiva and Kamen Rider W at some point.

Amara Reference Sheet

So a while back I spotlighted a really cool artist, EvaXArtss, and I'd mentioned that I'd eventually repost the reference sheet she did for me. Here I am following up on that, albeit with a censored version to help try and get more visibility going.

Very Specific Thoughts

I've come to this conclusion that there are just recurring thoughts about my OCs:

-Amara and [Insert Your OC Here] tag teaming/jumping [Insert Specific Character That Probably Deserves It Here].

Example: Amara and Baji (OC of @iamverynormalaboutocs) 2v1ing Cell.

There'll probably be some other additional context if i think of it, but that's the usual prompt.

Now Admittedly this is like the biggest recurring thought outside of other ones such as

-Goofy Scenario involving two characters

-Wholesome Scenario involving characters

-"Okay so hear me out, What if X thing happened here"

-"Okay so hear me out on this idea you should totally do sometime with your characters"

and so on and so forth.

Amara, 👕 - 5

I'd say Amara isn't quite the biggest fan of scars, having three of them total. Two under her left eye (they cross over one another, so it's hard to tell that there's two of them), and One really nasty looking one on her back/upper left thigh.

Commissioned Art: Friendly Dining

Thanks to the lovely @furipasart, we have ourselves one of those rare moments where the usually solemn and stone-faced stoic, Amara, is seen being happy for once in her life.

Whether it's because she has a tail once more or because she's in good company with a new friend she likely just made, who knows.

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful art, Furi! It's so nice to see Amara show joy for once in her life!

Everyone has their own way of expressing their characters, some make playlists, others might make mood boards. Every method is valid and I want people to know that.

Is your OC confident or shy when it comes to fighting? 👀

I'd say Amara, the OC in question, is honestly pretty confident about fighting all things considered. She's just very stone faced about it like many other things in her life. The type to act like she just wants to get it done and over with so she can go get some shopping done before the stores close.

Truth be told she enjoys it every once in a while, especially if she has a durable enough opponent (par the course with any Saiyan really), but there was a small point in time she was rather fearful about the idea of fighting. Didn't like the idea she could lose control of herself in a fight and all hell breaking loose.

Artist Spotlight: RodriiViro

Alright so normally this is the kind of post where I'd like to spotlight artists whom I've commissioned either very recently or at some point prior. Circumstances are a bit different here as I did not commission this particular person, but she has created art for me. This person is someone I would call an incredibly close friend as I know them IRL, I love 'em a lot (very much so) and I, with my very modest follower count, would like to showcase some cool art made in the past (I've been sitting on this since January).

Rodri's a very wonderful artist and I want the world to know that. If She were to open Commissions, then I would gladly tell everyone I know to commission Them. I love to see artists succeed, no matter how big or how small they are.

Having a job isn't quite bad for the most part, it's just something that sucks when you have to open in the morning after having a nice day off the day prior. Ah well, it is what it is

okay so hear me out, imagine if saiyans were based on marmosets, finger monkeys if you will.

ya know i realized i'm a lot more comfortable here talking about my oc and other stuff as opposed to like on twitter. No idea why that is but it really do be like that. Maybe I'll talk about other characters when i feel the need to.

Aquil Shumai wanted to spar with Amara! How would that go? :3

I'm sure it would go swimmingly, possibly. At the very least sparring with someone or something more durable than your average human would make her more willing to use her natural strength. She's strong, but humans can be potentially rather fragile.

Now of course a simple sparring session can stay simple, but there's always ways to escalate. It could be escalated through use of transformations, push her to show the possible tricks up her sleeve or bait her into lowering her guard just to get one over her. It could escalate by way of using increasingly powerful techniques. It could even be escalated through a third party jumping in. But ultimately I think it might go pretty well, might get her to cut loose a little and open up a bit more. She's not much of a talker though, so any attempts at conversation mid-spar isn't likely to go anywhere.
