TALI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know tali will keep him safe as will the rest of team dragonborn. and if need be tali will make ancano pay if he tries to hurt wyrm again
Clockwork heart pt11
Part 10 here
———
Wyrm: *staring around at the world when creation was new, whales flying through the skies along side dragons as he climbs the steps to the Adamantine tower, the earth climbing and crumbling, seas forming then drying, trees blooming and withering, and life living then dying*
???: *tired pained laughter* you may cut my limbs and bleed my blood into the veins of this earth brother. But I can not be killed. I am this realm. The air that gives life to your creations is my breath, the dirt beneath their feet my skin, and the clouds that shade them my thoughts.
???: Then I shall rip out your heart and let this disgusting mistake we’ve made rot with your corpse. Trinimac. My bow.
*The cracking of ribs and the pained screams of the true god of creation*
Wyrm: *walks up the steps and crests the platform to see the convention of the aedra, the Magna Ge, among them Meridia before her daedric ascension, as was malacath when he walked as Trinimac. And at the feet of auriel, bound in chains, the body of lorkhan, still smiling, still breathing, laughing softly with no voice as his form begins to wither*
Auriel: the heart of my brother still beats in my hand… how?…
The heart of lorkhan: *speaking with the voice of its master* This Heart is the heart of the world, for one was made to satisfy the other.
Lorkhan: *grins up at his brother knowing even in his stasis like death he will be with his greatest creation, winning the battle of their makers anu and padomay* you will be bound to me and my world forever brother…
Auriel: *glares at him with malice in his eyes as he snatches an arrow from Trinimacs hands, stabbing it into the heart before knocking it to his bow* Then forever you will suffer with me. *loosens it letting it fly into the sea, creating red mountain with its impact*
Wyrm: *watches in awe as lorkhans body explodes into light, his eyes turning to gems, his blood to ebony, his body to the moons watching over the new world and his soul into the orb he’d absorbed in the depths of saarthal* what?…
Auriel: *suddenly turns his gaze to look at him* heed this warning now. My wrath will be swift as it is great. Turn back from this path… do not allow the trickster to ret-t-tuuurRrrNnnnnNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHH! *grabs his face in agony as his body is suddenly split into two, one elven, one human, one eagle, one dragon*
Wyrm: *stumbles back in fear and runs for the stairs only to see them now gone, and in its place the gaping maw of a dragon made to devour worlds* NO-
*terrified screaming and the heavy impacts of debris mixing with the ungodly roars of a giant, angry beast*
Wyrm: *blinks awake and shifts feeling hay beneath him* h-huh?… *sits up to see the cold stone walls and iron bars of a small prison cell* wh-what? Where am I? *looks down at himself to see his clothes replaced with rags, and his arm missing* t-Tolfdir? O-Onmund?… p-papa?… *gets up and shakily walks to the bars, relieved he at least still has his Pearl eye so he can see clearly* h-hello?
???: huh? Whose??? Someone’s alive in here!
Wyrm: *blinks as a handsome stormcloak soldier suddenly appears in front of the bars* h-hello? Wh-where am I? What’s g-going on?
???: I? You don’t know? You’re in Helgen! There’s a dragon attacking the city! Why are you in here?
Wyrm: I- I don’t know I was in saarthal th-then I woke up here-
???: he turned up here a couple days ago gibbering nonsense and scaring civilians, when we tried to grab him he let out some weird magic and drove half of our men mad before they burst into a pile of ashes. Don’t even think about letting him out Ralof.
Ralof: Well he’s not gibbering nonsense now, Hadvar! And if he can do that then he’s of better use to us against a dragon then being left to die here. *smashes the lock open and lifts Wyrm into his arms*
*a few hours later*
Ralof: *carrying Wyrm out of the cave and down the hill* Dangerous criminal my backside Hadvar! The poor lad was scared out of his mind in there. Just like the empire to lock up innocent people.
Hadvar: YOU, weren’t there to see what he did!
Wyrm: *tearing up looking at what’s left of his mechanical arm after finding it in a chest* I-I didn’t mean t-to hurt anybody, I swear it I’m not a criminal… *sniffles shaking his head before resuming picking hay out of his hair*
Ralof: Well I! See yet another person the empire screwed over! And if he hadn’t of set that bear on fire when it charged at us you’d be dead! So fuck off and leave him alone! *huffs and storms off ahead with him* don’t mind him friend, he’s always been a prick.
Wyrm: th-thank you for saving me, h-how did I make it all the way here in my sleep? H-how do I get home to winterhold? Papa will be so worried about me…
Ralof: hey, it’ll be alright I’m sure my sister will help you out.
Wyrm: *looks up at him sadly* th-thank you…
*a few hours later*
Wyrm: *got cleaned up at Gerdurs house, dressed in the mage robes he’d picked up in Helgen, now quietly exploring around the lake in an attempt to find any possible sign he’d come that way so he can follow it home, just completely lost* maybe if I get to higher ground I can find my path back?… *looks around before spotting a small path leading up to a ledge* oh! *hurries over and up it, immediately freezing seeing several dead bodies, and one seemingly injured thalmor justiciar* …
???: *looks up* oh gre-
Wyrm: *just straight up faints*
???: …Well brilliant.
*a few hours later*
Wyrm: *woke up to the thalmor agent shaking him gently and after healing his ‘life threatening wounds’ returned to riverwood with him* um? Taliesin was it?
Taliesin: hm? Oh yes my little friend what is it now?
Wyrm: I was asked to retrieve an ornament for the shopkeeper in exchange for some gold but… the last time I went into a barrow something bad happened… *holds his head* I can’t… remember what it was but… it hurt… and I need money to get home. Can you help me?
Taliesin: *looks up from his food quietly* hm? Well I suppose I can help you, it’s the least I can do for you saving my life and all.
Wyrm: you only had a small cut though.
Taliesin: … *reaches over and pinches his arm*
Wyrm: *jumps and tears up* O-ow! That h-hurt!
Taliesin: See? Now imagine how being cut open feels. It’s not nice is it?
Wyrm: *sniffles and nods* I’m sorry…
Taliesin: it’s alright. *sets his food down* But I promised I’d look after you and get you home safe! So if you want to retrieve this ornament for some gold I’ll be happy to help you get it. Who knows, maybe it’ll give us a story worth retelling.
*the next day*
Taliesin: *carrying him out of the barrow with the claw and strange tablet* That was not worth it!
#gotta say i like the lorkhan stuff#and voryns association w him is shrimpteresting#im personally big on the shezzarine nerevar train

its friday, so may I request your craziest headcanons 👀🫵
sure why not im insane for fun
nerevar was a shezzarine and the nerevarine is a shezzarine by extension
every player character carries/embodies an aspect of lorkhan and can be considered a shezzarine (can you tell i have a thing for shezzarines)
pelinal was something almost like a Prisoner. not fully a Prisoner, but very damn close
nerevar's murder was a dragon break; thus, voryn killed him, the tribunal killed him, dumac killed him, and so on. they're all right and they're all wrong
miraak had the raw strength to kill alduin, but lacked the discipline and strategy to do so safely. he could've done it, yeah - he just would've died in the process

also calling voryn "the most famous anti-nord" is laughable. he's not even the most rabid ethnonationalist of the third era, almalexia tried to orchestrate a massive murder-suicide in response to the threat of imperial occupation. as for the first era? indoril nerevar exists as did many other chimer who never leaked military secrets to dead nord warlords. i'm sorry but voryn was on that shezzarine fling

how do you think lorkhan feels about the things mortals have done with his heart? like, would he approve of the tribunal or dagoth ur, or would he be glad the nerevarine stopped them from using it?
hm….this is an interesting question!
i think the best way to approach it is through the shezzarines. one such person, ysmir wulfharth, was very interested in reclaiming the heart of shor from the chimer and dwemer. this may just be a result of his nordic heritage, but i think wulfharth had a great deal to do with shaping that nordic heritage, as well!
the second notable shezzarine here is, of course, the nerevarine. (and possibly nerevar himself, if you think he’s a shezzarine too. i’m not sure!) and, of course, part of the nerevarine’s quest was to undo the ties between the tribunal and dagoth ur to the heart, thereby “freeing” it.
so if we look at the acts of shezzarines as inherently reflective of shor/lorkhan himself, then we can definitely conclude that he’s not fond of people fiddling with his heart. i will say, though, the interpretation that he’s at the very least neutral to the prospect, say with the tribunal, is a really interesting one! i’m just not sure it’s supported by canon, necessarily. (like that’s ever stopped me before!)

Explaining the Iceberg #8
In which the theories get worse as you delve deeper. (some content is cut because it’s not appropriate/something I would want to discuss)
Coldharbour/Clockwork Tamriel: Coldharbour has many locations that resemble Tamriel, and often are outright taken from it. C0Da seems to indicate Sotha Sil’s final goals for the clockwork city is to recreate and ‘perfect’ Tamriel.
The Crimson Ship: During the Knahaten Flu, the Kothringi were hit particularly hard, and the Crimson Ship was full of refugees trying to find a new home. They were turned away at every port, until reaching Hammerfell. After being turned away once again, they sailed out to sea. Some years later, pirates found the ship full of corpses.
Storming of the citadel: Unsure of this, the wording is too general. It could possibly refer to the Morrowind Mainquest, when you take back the profane tools, A Covenant quest in Elder Scrolls Cnline, or the Main quest in Elder Scrolls Online
Altmeri formwars: Mentioned in an MK short story. Possibly a war from a previous Kalpa that involved the Dreugh
Yagrum Bagarn made the Numidium: He states he was a Tonal Architect under Kagrenac, there’s a possibility he may have worked on the Numidium as well.
Sons of Hora: Mentioned in the Nu-hatta, related to mantling. ‘this is the death children bring as son’s of Hora’. My guess is that it’s the ability of mortals (sons of Lorkhan, Hora?) to actually mantle deities and understand their limits.
Kaleidocules: ‘Leaky Creatia’ the power of creation, magical possibility
Ayleids=Bird people: A race of unnamed bird people Topal the Pilot was said to have met on his journey across Tamriel. Since they occupy the same region as Ayleids did (although they seem to have been present before the Ayleids and subsequently died out), and since Ayleids have recurring bird motifs within their armor and art, it’s thought that these two groups may be one in the same.
Dragon Tusk: The name of the oversoul (cumulation of all aspects) of Akatosh/Auri-el ect. Is Aka or Aka-Tusk.
Lorkhan’s heart the egg of time: In Morrowind, the egg of time is a rebuttal paper to Kagrenac’s theories on the use of the tools on the heart of lorkhan.
Khajiit ??? Genetic memory: I can’t make out if that says lactable as in the infant formula for babies, or something else.
The Prisoner: A name for all playable characters in tes, revolves around the concept of seeing past barriers formed previously (the prison) and overcoming these obstacles to change things.
82nd Crodo: Mentioned in the redguard forums, a community in Alinor.
City of Rockcreek: In Arena, there is a city called Rockpark. A glitch in town generation happened, and the palace to Rockpark was blocked off, rendering it inaccessible. In Daggerfall, the developers referenced this glitch in ‘Ius the Animal God’ But misspelled Rockpark as ‘Rockcreek’
Atmora-Aldmeris Invasion: Not quite sure what this references, my best guess is the invasion of the Atmorans and Aldmer from their respective continents to Tamriel.
1008 weapons of rapture: 1008 or 108 is usually in reference to Cyrodill (8+1 gods), in Et’Ada, Eight Aedra, Eat the Dreamer, there is mention of 1008 weapons of rapture. This could possibly refer to the Divines, the Middle Dawn that lasted 1008 years, or perhaps 1008 literal weapons.
Thalmor UFOs: Seems to have originated on the iceberg
King Harald and Talos die at 108: There goes that numerology again
Adamantia Scroll rocket: While this seems to have originated on the iceberg once again, there is a group of tes LARPers with the shared name Adamantia
Ghartoki: Mentioned in what my beloved taught me after Vivec reads a symbol on Nerevar’s palms (possibly some sigil, scars or just reading palms). Ghartok in Ehlnofey means hand, and in the sermons it’s often associated with the word Padhome, or change.
Thalmor and Jyggalag: The Altmer are orderly so they worship Jyggalag.
Motheaters: A little song mentioned in this thread https://www.imperial-library.info/content/forum-archives-unknown-posts
Klecksographic Lyg: Another iceberg original, Klecksography is the art of making art from inkblots, essentially this is just saying how lyg was created in a fancy way
Ha-Note is Mehrunes Dagon: https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/3o0uwk/nanote_dagon/ the original theory is here, TL;DR Ha-Note, a monster born from Vivec, renamed itself ‘City-Face’ and fled to Lyg. The ‘grabbers’ grabbed it, because they can’t create things of their own and said they’d build a Hope-Tower upon it’s face. In the Commentaries of Mankar Cameron, he states Mehrunes Dagon was built from hope.
Zurin Arctus=Versidue Shae: An apparently deleted theory, mentioned only in this post debunking it https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/9rs2ad/what_were_the_motives_of_versidue_shaie/
The King’s Cough: Mentioned in Sermon 29, another name for the Thu’um
The Catalyst: The driving force that starts an Enantiomorph
Tsaescence: A tsaesci word from We ate it to become it, MK states it means it’s the Tsaesci word of “High Perception” In context, seems to mean something similar to CHIM.
Hero of Kvatch=Pelinal Whitestrake: See the Knights of the Nine DLC. (To expand further, there are many similarities between the two, force of change, knight to the emperor/empress)
Amiel Arctus: An old screen name for Michael Kirkbride
The Space Gods: Found in the last song of Pelinal and Eight Aedra Eat the Dreamer, like many things in tes, it’s Lorkhan.
Uriel V: The father of Uriel VI, tried his best to invade Akavir.
Otherkin: You are reading this on tumblr. You know what this is. MK made a lengthy forum post about how Tosh Raka hates the Otherkin for some reason.
Falmer are Hermaified: Horrible word, but there are resemblances between Hermaeus Mora’s shrines, and Falmer shrines.
Invisible Dragons: In morrowind, if you ask M’aiq about dragons, he’ll state they’re too high up to see. Or invisible
Alien Ayleids: A relic from the since deleted bethesda forums. MK wanted to have a plot twist where Ayleids were Aliens.
The insect god: Mentioned in the Adabal-a, or Morhaius’s memoirs. May be a since-retconned god, could possibly be Lorkhan due to his frequent connection with Scarabs.
Suicide Trolls: An easter egg in Oblivion, a poorly scrawled note and a troll found dead under a bridge across the bridge from Bravil.
Arkay=Arnand the Fox=Zurin Arctus: Zurin Arctus is sometimes called Arnand the Fox (Seen in where were you when the dragon broke) Shor is also represented as the fox, which makes sense since Zurin is a Shezzarine. This connects to Arkay by Malacath/Orkey/Arkay, who is a trickster god (fox like) in Nordic pantheons. Malacath also got compared to a fox once. I never said these theories were well backed up.
Dwarf-Orc theory: referring to Dumac, who is sometimes called Dumalacath, or Dumac Dwarf-Orc, suggesting he has an orcish and dwemer parents. This also may imply there are cross cultural connections between the two groups (especially when you consider the Rourken clan having Volenfell, Malacath’s hammer.), meaning Dwemer blood could still be present within Orcish clans.
Tosh Raka: The Dragon-God of the Ka’Po’Tun. Became a dragon through unknown means (possibly through Dracocrysalis?) Hates the otherkin I guess.
A worn and weathered note: A curious note from Morrowind. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:A_worn_and_weathered_note
TalOS: Talos is called a virus by Jubal in C0da. If you think of the Aurbis as a computer, Talos could be considered analogous to a Trojan Virus when you look at his place in the pantheon of Divines. He used the mantella to cheat-code the universe into accepting it as Lorkhan’s new heart to power the Numidium. An error occurred, and now the universe considers TalOS the new Lorkhan.
King of Worms = The Underking: Both are liches, both are undead, that’s about it. May stem from initial confusion of MK saying there were ‘multiple underkings’ when he meant there were multiple copies of the same person in the dragon break.
500 companions were dragons: the 500 mighty companions, an obscure text calls at least one of the companions a dragon, and some of the names were draconic sounding.
Dreamer can’t wake up: Straight from the mouth of MK, this might mean ‘the Godhead isn’t literal’ or it might literally mean, the universe can’t cease to be because the Godhead just stops.

shezzarine nerevar REALLY scratches the itch in my brain because
voryn doesnt know it. but he's always been drawn to lorkhan. perhaps hes always been doomed, in that way. he fell in love with nerevar, adored him, worshiped him, loved him so much he could hate him. he was going mad with love.
and then he sees the heart, the heart of a dead god, the heart of a god he has no idea he had been worshiping this entire time. lorkhan's heart, his beloved's heart, calling out to him like a siren as he guarded it and the tools.
he can feel it. in his bones, in every fiber of his being, that he was made for this. he tampers with it, cooing softly at the heart that he wont hurt it like the dwemer did. the air smells like nerevar, dizzing and comforting despite how profane it was. the heart is alive, his beloved his alive, whispering promises of all he can provide for voryn.
and then nerevar returns, demanding the tools, saying he'll hand them over to someone else for safekeeping. safekeeping? who else besides voryn could possibly guard these tools? they could hurt nerevar. kill him. ruin everything--the entire world itself. doesn't nerevar trust him? doesn't nerevar love him? why entrust the tools and heart to someone else who doesn't know and love him like voryn does?!
voryn has come too far. he loves nerevar too much to allow him to hand over something so dangerous to those retched councilors who will no doubt abuse it, killing nerevar in the process. voryn is so close to discovering it's secrets--nerevar's secrets, his beloved's secrets--that he can't let this go. why doesn't nerevar understand?
he'll have to take the tools over voryn's dead body

Hi, I was reading this post by you (theory: voryn killed nerevar not almsivi) and I had a quick question, if it's not too much trouble. In the post you mentioned a theory that every Dragonborn is accompanied by a Shezzarine. I was curious to how/where this theory came from. Also, do you have a theory to who the Shezzarine is to the LDB?
Oh wow that post is old. I think your best bet to continue this trail of lore and theorizing would be @boethiah who I THINK is the other half of the puzzle here? This strikes me as something she may have written about.

you said we can ask you lore questions right? so um. what da hell is a shezzarine exactly. something to do with lorkhan maybe
oh boy isn't that the question
so. you'd be correct in that they're associated with lorkhan. they're supposedly mortal incarnations of lorkhan, sent to lead and protect mankind. (the name refers to shezzar, one of lorkhan's names, specifically his cyrodiilic one)
their initial depictions were wise counselors and leaders, but later they came to be heavily associated with warriors instead.
the footsteps of shezzar
"Time and again in Nedic folklore, a "stranger" arrives to help ancient Men. This stranger comes as a teacher, an advisor, and a maker of alliances between tribes who otherwise would have fought alone. He is not a warrior-ruler like Shor, but instead a figure who inspires others to fight for themselves.
A Duraki legend mentions "Shezarr, who stole stoneworking from the Dwemer and taught Zinfara to call nirncrux from the mountain-roots." A Perena tale claims that the Cult of Stars learned soul magic from a "white-bearded stranger." Likewise, "Shezarr of the Snowy Beard" is said to give the secrets of Ayleid battle-magic to the Nedes of Cyrod, showing them how to turn their enemies' arts against them. And, most fascinating of all, a stone tablet said to have been found in the ruins of Sedor depicts a bearded figure as "the Shezzarine, Shor-Who-Lives, Teacher of Men."
Taken together, it seems these disparate tales show that Shezarr inspired many different tribes to resist Ayleid oppression. Yet the later Nedic sagas do not mention the wise stranger. Whatever part Shezarr—or Shor, in the guise of a teacher instead of a warrior—played in those days came to an end in the middle of the Merethic Era."
song of pelinal, vol 5
"It is a solid truth that Morihaus was the son of Kyne, but whether or not Pelinal was indeed the Shezarrine is best left unsaid (for once Plontinu, who favored the short sword, said it, and that night he was smothered by moths)."
(also, there are a good bit more of more indirect references to lorkhan throughout the song of pelinal, such as pelinal being associated with a fox, but that's the most direct.)
generally, they're powerful, smart, and admittedly often violent, if pelinal is anything to go off of. divine madness and all that. think of them like a christ figure mixed with eldritch aspects and much more violence. it seems they started out more sane but became increasingly violent throughout their incarnations.
i personally believe the prisoner is a shezzarine alongside nerevar and a few other characters who i haven't figured out my exact logics for yet.
if you want me to elaborate more on anything just lmk

I think Nerevar being intersex works. I like to imagine lorkhan is intersex (and there might be lore to back it up however I just woke up hcgvgcguvcgvh) so shezzarines being intersex is fun (even if he isn’t one in this fic he is one in my heart and that’s why the heart of Lorkhan never effected him) And like you said it would make sense as to why he was so close to Vivec
Severed Destiny future nonsense
Gilvoth moves into Odrosal after Odros, ah, decides to "commune" with Vivec a little more often
and not a minute too soon because it's been decided it's Nerevar's turn to get knocked up
and nobody in the volcano is getting any sleep from all the racket (soundproofing will be installed shortly)
I'm still not sure how Nerevar's getting the extra plumbing. either he was always that way (and that's a reason he was friends early on with vivec, this seems to make more sense to me) or Voryn, ah, was thinking about it when he was resurrecting Nerevar and it just sort of...slipped in

Bthemetz headcanons & Various Dwemer headcanons:
- bthem knows a lot about numidium through not only proximity to the project but hir own work. kagrenac and bthem worked together on a “body” that would allow hir to transcend the borders of the realm of oblivion. it was partially successful, more a construct than a body, a chasis bthem controls like one might control a toy with a joystick, not something inate, or part of oneself.
- bthem’s chasis ended up being revisited when kagrenac began to design numidium. early designs actually resemble bthem’s Actual Face a lot (this was just before their relationship drastically fell apart).
- bthem was the philosopher credited with shifting focus from “from the sacred to the profane” to “from the profane to the sacred” and caused a radical shift in not only dwemer politics but dwemer identity, from a former lorkhan-worshipping sect of disillusioned scholars and historians fixated on the corpse of a god to a group of innovators and mathematicians and scientists. hir sermons allowed the dwemer to position themselves beyond simply ‘against aldmeris’ and (ironically) drop lorkhan altogether.
- bthem however revered lorkhan passionately in life and that is about as fashionable as auriel himself (and this was so early in the merethic era most people have forgotten about lorkhan worship altogether) - so hir name didn’t automatically carry weight. it’s worth noting dwemer don’t particularly revere ancestors or view history in terms of Great Names (that is a very altmer approach), cathedrals are perhaps more like debate halls and quite often ‘scripture’ is erased and re-written from scratch, new ideas supercede old ones.
- so the discovery of bthem didn’t make kagrenac a household name - but rather kagrenac’s invesitgations onto souls, bodies, planes (metaphysics basically) did. kagrenac ended up writing a book about a lot of what she discovered while helping bthem unearth hirself.
- bthem had a unique and rather uneasy position amongst the dwemer. while bthem was acknowledged as hir own person ze lacked the formal education that had become commonplace amongst the dwemer - bthem knows very little of mathematics or engineering or oration or astronomy; ze is a philosopher and priest who had an inate knowledge of the earth bones when ze was in nirn. dwemer have a ruthless debate culture and while bthem was welcome to take part in those debates, politically ze was always disadvantaged cause of this lack of knowledge, and also because political opponents of kagrenac wanted to rip into her using bthem. bthem ended up trusting in kagrenac politically rather than following hir own ventures (bthem perhaps, mistakenly, always considered her and hirself equals as they had been when kagrenac was a visitor to hir realm).
- nevertheless kagrenac’s close colleagues - later, acolytes, followers - always treated hir with respect and bthem co-authored papers on tonal architecture and was... busy working, not simply a Prop. the fact that ze was The Bthemetz, the one who led a bunch of their people across the desert, like the fucking Plato of hir people, mattered not in some ways; most viewed hir as one of kagrenac’s closest followers.
- additionally i’ve always kind of headcanoned the dwemer having several nations (people mistakenly interpret them as clans or whatever....); bthem is not from the same nation, the same people, as the vvardenfell group, and in that way bthemetz was viewed as an outsider as well.
- i think in general bthemetz found the experience of 1st era vvardenfell dwemer society extremely alienating and odd because as advanced and technologically brilliant they were in a way they were only just scratching the surface of while bthem was alive. and while they were still an intense, privately passionate, reclusive people, the structure of society was so.... different from when bthem was alive, not a bunch of lost visionaries in the desert listening to the sounds of the earth but bustling cities with grand cathedrals and a sense of formalities and structures and identities which were still very much forging while bthem was alive. oral debate was a cornerstone of what bthem lived through but the subjects and ideas were so utterly different and alien. the godlessness of hir people i think in particular was bizarre - not something ze had thought impossible, there was an emerging strand of that while ze was alive amongst hir own faction, but still, for there to be no worshippers of lorkhan left? maddening. also deeply upsetting, because lorkhan worship so deeply entwined with her own research and philosophy, with part of why ze started those wars, ze caused so much chaos, why ze was captured and imprisoned.
- bthemetz was not part of the first council but attended larger ceremonies. so the chimer saw hir. they just thought ze was a weird centurion or atronach or something. didn’t recognise hir personhood or hir at all. this is partially why, along with the difficulty of going so far undiscovered, bthem never even considered going to nerevar’s court with information about numidium; it would be impossible to contact them discretely anyway (in a way that it was definitely possible to do with voryn).
- as a construct, bthemetz could not hear the heart even stood in front of it. had bthem still been on nirn, attuned as ze was, a shezzarine on top of that..... ze would have heard it from miles away. ze would have heard it the moment ze took hir first steps in kagrenac’s workshop. this irony upsets hir a lot.
- bthem as a character was passionate and warm, and extremely, extremely driven. ze had a natural charisma i think? enough to convince people to start a war. (hey i didn’t say ze was good.)

Tes Iceberg Explained #2
Once again i’m not covering everything, particularly not bothering with things such as Black Books/Naked Nords which are a main focus within the games. And not everything is covered in extensive detail, many of these things i could cover more thoroughly, but that would make this post very, very long. CW for brief discussion of Sexual Assault
N'Gasta! Kvata! Kvakis!: A book with a secret meaning you can find
here: https://www.imperial-library.info/content/mystery-ngasta-kvata-kvakis
Nords were Giants: A theory that Giants and Nords share atmoran ancestors
The Last Dragonborn is Talos: A theory that the Last Dragonborn who is a potential Shezzarine like Talos, and shares a title with him
Mutara is symbolism for a penis: A lot of people joke that Mutara is symbolism for a penis and that’s it, but MK has stated it’s an anagram for Trauma revolving around the encounter with Molag Bal (original post deleted along with a lot of his reddit content)
Briar-Heart Lorkhan reenactment: the Reachmen sometimes will give a chosen warrior a Briar-Heart in place of their human heart to better harness magical energy and power, this theory connects it with Lorkhan’s heart being torn from his chest during his death
Titus Mede is Thalmor: Didn’t find much on this, but i feel it’s rather self-explanatory
The Trial of Vivec: An obscure MK text, TW for Rape if you go looking for it
Reavers from the North: A class of bandits on Solstheim
World-Eating/ The Aldudagga: An interesting obscure MK text discussing Alduin’s role as worldender. The text states that ‘the Leper Demon King’ and Lorkhan made a compact/bargain of some sort to prevent this. Lorkhan tries to hide under Red Mountain, but it’s already eaten by Alduin so he ends up stuck between/within Kalpas, essentially out of time. LDK states he and Lorkhan hoard parts of the old world and add them to the new, so that it takes Alduin longer to eat the world the next time. Alduin calls him a stupid little fucker (not relevant, but i wanted to have this on record) and curses him with the name Mehrunes Dagon, essentially forcing him to oblivion and cursing him to stay there until he destroys everything. It also attributes to part of Saarthal’s destruction to Mehrunes Dagon worshipers/Dagon himself, tells of a tale of a Flying Whale and a Dirtbird making a deal with Molag Bal and explains the tradition of Nord’s cow painting as offers for giants. Many folks consider this noncanonical, including some die-hard lore fans.
Abagarlas: A Molag Bal worshiping Ayleid city, in conflict with Meridia worshipping cities
The Tri-angled Truth: possibly the Psijic Endeavor, but also shown to be the worship of The True Tribunal and belief in Mundus as a trial ground made by Lorkhan. (The two statements may be connected by Boethiah, who preached the Psijic Endeavor to the Velothi)
The Ooze: A bosmeri term for the primordial chaos of early nirn before the Earthbones stabilized it.
Prophecy writing: This might be a reference to several things, possibly the actions of the ‘Hero’ in each Elder Scroll to fulfill the prophecy and make their will a reality, possibly the Ancestor Moth Cult and their role of recording the prophecies they see.
The Eleven forces: Laws of magic described by the Psijic order, also a term used to describe their council
The Halls of Colossus: An ancient site of ruins, possibly dedicated to the worship of dragons, as ESO shows. Tiber Septim may have kept the Numidium here and it may have had adverse effects on the surrounding region
Mantling: The concept of becoming so similar to another being, you literally become them/take up their power.
Tiber’s Purges: Destruction of cities and royal families that did not agree with Tiber Septims rule, using the Numidium
House Ra’athim and Mora: House Mora was a minor Dunmer/Chimer house with human ancestry, before fading away and being absorbed by House Hlaalu. House Ra’athim was a powerful clan of nobility within House Mora that ruled Ebonheart and were loyal to the King of Morrowind. The Ra’athim were said to be miners and owned an extensive amount of ebony mines. Nerevar was also said to be originally from House Mora.
Talos is Lorkhan: A theory that Talos mantled the place of Lorkhan within the pantheon of the Divines.
An-Xileel: An argonian faction of anti-colonists, probably based in Lilmonth
Tamriel Technological Degeneration: A theory that states the technology of Tamriel is slowly declining, primarily sourcing the existence of Dwemer tech. Sometimes associated with a theory that Tamriel is experiencing a decline in magic, citing the streamlining of skill trees in Morrowind and Oblivion into the one seen in Skyrim
Wulf: An avatar of Tiber Septim, seen in Morrowind
Mannimarco is not the King of Worms: The theory that the Mannimarco seen in Oblivion is not Mannimarco the God, but an imposter or the remnants of the mortal Mannimarco
Sunbirds: Altmer airships, possibly designed with the intent to reach Aetherius, may or may not have been successful. Sources are primarily unlicensed works or vague mentions
House Dres Vampires: Garan Marethi , Volikhar vampire, states he was tired of the politics of House Dres. A Game at Dinner recounts the poisoning of a spy at a banquet King Helseth held, notably the anonymous author was stated to be Dres and desired to be relieved of his title. Dhaunayne, mentioned as this spy’s master, appears in Morrowind as head of the Aundae vampire clan.
Arkved’s Void: The nightmare of the wizard Arkved, who stole Vaermina’s orb in Oblivion
The Book of Hours: A teaching by Vivec focusing on the Dragon Breaks, Middle Dawn and the Blue Star Mnemoli
The Dreamsleeve: This is a bit difficult to explain as there are two meanings often attributed to the word. The first meaning is the collective consciousness/dream of everyone in existence, and a method to transmit information from person to person via dreams/unconscious thought, this is the explanation present in canon. In things considered more dubiously canon, it is the process of life/death/rebirth.
Pyandonea is Aldmeris: The theory that the home of the sea elves is actually the ancient continent of Aldmeris
Emperor Zero: Discussed in previous post, TL;DR, a cult established by Tiber Septim to honor his predecessor paving the way for his conquering of Tamriel
Infinitely Large Planetoids: A reference to a text by MK discussing the cosmology of TES. The planets of Mundus are the Eight Divines/the bodies of them, they are also the planes of the gods. They appear as planets in the sky because mortal minds can’t comprehend their true form. They are infinite, but also surrounded by oblivion, so the mortal mind comprehends them as planets.
Kalpas: The cycle of birth/death/rebirth the universe/aurbis goes through.
Satakal: The Yokudan God of Everything, the universe, a fusion of Anu/Padomay. Like Alduin, he eats his own tail/is reborn (see kalpas above). The Yokudan pantheon is made up of Gods who learned to survive this cycle.
Summerset Isles is part of Thras: The thought that originally the Sload may have called the Summerset Isles home, or part of their home. Supported by the fact the oldest structures in the isles is made of coral.
Aldmeris never existed: The thought that the myth of Aldmeris is just a myth
Wayrest Secret painting message: Part of the main quest of Daggerfall, a way for the Agent to discover Daggerfall agents killed King Lysandus
Anumidi Models: A reference to Vehk’s Teaching, a text by MK that describes the Psijic Endeavor and it’s relationship to CHIM and the Tower. To summarize, the Anumidi models (Numidium and presumably lesser models such as centurions) are a metaphor/representation of the Tower (The universe when you tilt your head to the side, or an I)
Cybiades: An island off the coast of Sentinel, populated with Vampires.
Yokudan Sidestepping: The theory that the Yokudans/their pantheon come from an alternate timeline/the past, and avoided the destruction of Yokuda by stepping into the current timeline.
The Red Templars: Lore from the Redguard Fourms, MK describes them as ‘psycho-crusaders who drank the blood of Talos to get short-term martial shouting powers’ The rest of the legion largely disliked them.
Two Tiber theory: The Theory that Tiber Septim was in fact two people, Tiber Septim the general/Hjalti Early-Beard and Zurin Arctus. Making him both a Nord and Breton like ingame texts suggest.
Magika=Energy of Existence: I discuss this a few times on this blog. The simple theory that magic is energy/life force, the equivalent to the real world’s laws of thermodynamics. Supported by the fact that Meridia is said to be the lady of infinite energies and hates the undead who disrupt the natural flow of magic/energy
Dro’Zira: A Khajiit folk hero present at the Battle of Red Mountain, Wulfharth may have used his thu’um to turn him and other Khajiit into Senche. Said to have defended Wulfarth from Dumac Dwarfking, and killed the monarch. Later confined to the Shivering isles and rescued by Wulfharth.
Stars 3D Skydome: Presumably a reference to the fact that stars are holes between oblivion and aetherius and act as a sort of dome between Nirn and Aetherius
Blades Secret Bloodlines: Didn’t find much on this, my guess is it’s a reference to the theory that the blades kept the bloodlines of the Septim emperors a secret, and multiple bastard heirs may have been produced through generations.
Arden Sul: the first Duke of the Shivering Isles, Mania and Dementia have opposing beliefs on his life. Mania knows him as the Artificer Superior, a skilled craftsman who consumed large amounts of Greenmote, his revelers and/or himself may have consumed so much, their hearts exploded and ‘lifeblood flowed from their chests’. Extremists of Mania believe he is the true god of the Shivering isles. Dementia regards him as a Dark Deceiver, who fed poisoned wine to his allies, suspecting a traitor and killing everyone, reading their lifeblood for the traitor. When he couldn’t find it, he tore his heart out in distress. Extremists of Dementia regard him as the mortal aspect of Sheogorath. Both sides consider his soul to be beyond oblivion, ready to pounce at any moment.
From the Many-Headed Talos: Hemskir’s speech, another MK text. Describes Talos removing the jungle from Cyrodiil.
Hist Biological Supercomputers: Self explanatory, the theory that the hivemind of the hist is equivalent to a biological supercomputer (unrelated to tes, but this reminds me of the concept of plant intelligence, memory and perception)

Okay so in eso leaks we saw boethiah basically says she mantled trinimac after lorkhan’s death (no I won’t explain how Malacath exists. That’s like the whole entire story) and I am half awake but
Something something boethiah being lorkhan’s lover and mantling his killer something something shezzarine Nerevar something something. Boethiah seeking to make a new lorkhan based on her understanding of him, what she loved abt him, and his death. Boethiah considering Nerevar as a product of her love for lorkhan.
#shezzarine Nerevar#Nerevar#Indoril Nerevar#if this makes no sense. ask me questions I’ll explain more when I’m coherent
