Yesterday while we were gone we left Sprocket uncrated. I put the xpen across where the litter boxes are and left an opening just for the cats so Sprocket wouldn't snack while we were gone and I put the baby gate across the entrance. I made sure there was nothing in her reach that she might do anything with that would be an issue and I had Jon's mum take the dogs out in the middle of the day so nobody would have an accident before we got home.
She did SO good. Everything was totally fine and she was so so happy to see us when we got back. She's never been alone all day like that before and she was SO so so good. I'm so proud of her. Not to toot my own horn, but I think I've been doing a good job raising this dog. She missed me so much that she's been glued to me all morning. Unfortunately I have to go to work so I won't get to hang out with her, but we will do something fun after work. Oscar is used to this, we've done this lots before. This was just the first time since we got Sprocket. Every time I've gone somewhere for the day I've always brought her along, but it was nice to not have to worry about leaving her in the vehicle to go into stores and stuff this time. I was worried about how she was at home, but very relieved to find everything was fine when we did get home.
#barkin up some trees#shes a good dog im honestly very happy with how she has grown#shes a dog i enjoy living with and im so proud of her#and honestly of me because ive never raised a puppy before#Oscar was not really a puppy when we got him#shes a good dog and an easy dog#i am very fortunate to have such good dogs#and shes gonna be 2 this november!#cannot believe#like wowie we're out of puppyness like fully#shes so nice and sweet and i am so glad my awful baby dog turned into such a nice lady

The Hardest Things are the Honest Truths: Lucio x FemApprentice
A/N: So, I love Lucio. I don't know why, but I just do. I wish there were more scenes of him reflecting on his past though. So that's what this is. Just a brief roast session with some fluff afterwards. RIP my poor baby boy... but he gotta hear it. I have some more parts for Lucio that I'll hopefully post soon. I've also been working on a Julian piece that I'm really excited to share soon! Anyways, any feedback is always welcomed!
Summary: The Apprentice, Evie, wonders if she made a mistake binding herself to Lucio. She hopes that her faith in him isn't misguided, and seeks consul from those who knew him.
Word Count: 2300
------------------------------------------------------
I watched Lucio play with his two dogs with a hint of a smile. Seeing him like this almost made the earlier fiasco seem misplaced. The look of disappointment in Asra’s eyes was not something I could shake off though. Had I really made such a grievous error in binding myself to Lucio?
“You seem troubled.” Nadia had managed to stand next to me without me noticing. I hid my surprise well and I nodded quickly.
“There’s a lot about magic I’m still learning. I think today just proved it.” I said.
“Mistakes happen. Although, this mistake was a fairly large one.” She smirked.
I let out a defeated sigh. “Indeed it is.” I agreed.
She frowned then turned around to leave. “I recommend the bath house. It might serve you well to help clear your head.” Nadia said over her shoulder as she left.
It didn’t take a genius to get the hint. Lucio, still distracted with his dogs, didn’t notice Nadia and I’s exchange. I bit my lip on whether to let him know I would need some time alone. I figured he wouldn’t care, so I headed towards the bath house.
I got to the marble room and was taken aback by its grandiose. The room had pillars at the far edge that overlooked the city below. The sun was beginning to set, giving the steaming waters a warm evening glow. Smells of lavender and incense filled the air and I felt my shoulders begin to drop. A bath was a good idea after all.
I stripped myself of my clothes and sank below the warm waters. I emerged with a relieved sigh. I went back under the waters then emerged once more. I faced back towards the entrance and froze at the sight of Lucio.
I dove under to hide my bare self. “What’re you doing here?” I hissed.
Lucio gave a dazzling smile that I was sure won over his fair share of enemies. “I was wondering where you went. I got worried.” He said; seemingly genuine.
“So, you thought it best to just watch me as I bathed?” I grimaced.
“What? No! I only just arrived. I swear.” He had his hands up covering his eyes, but he lowered them with a smirk. “I mean, it’s not like you have anything to be embarrassed about. You have a very... ,” he paused, his glowing eyes dancing with want, “beautiful body.”
I felt the heat of his words overcome the warmth of the waters. Before I could say anything, the doors opened.
“Evie!” Portia greeted with a beaming smile. She walked past where Lucio stood. I wasn’t sure how to warn Portia of Lucio’s presence. She didn’t give me room to talk as she launched into a story about her day and began to undress. She joined me in the bath and sat across from me.
I nodded along with her story, but would steal glances towards Lucio, who seemed content with sitting at the bath’s edge. His feet kicking in the water absentmindedly.
“And then they expect me to clean it all up! It’s outrageous.” Portia huffed.
“Couldn’t agree more.” I debated about leaving when the door opened once more and Nadia strolled in. Even in the steaming waters, my body had gone cold. She spared Portia and I a raised brow.
“I’m to assume the Count isn’t here?” Her question had an edge that made me inwardly flinch. Lucio was shaking his head while mouthing, ‘Don’t say I’m here.’, as if anyone but me could hear him.
“The Count? As in, Count Lucio?” Portia wondered.
I spared her an awkward smile. “You and I both had a long day.” I bit my tongue for a moment. If I say he’s here, then Portia would be upset with me. If I lie, then that could be even worse. “I don’t see Lucio here in the bath with us.” A semi-lie, but better than the truth. He technically wasn’t in the bath with us. Lucio gave me a pleased grin, which I tried to ignore.
Nadia nodded before disrobing. She held herself regally and effortlessly as she glided into the bath. I was envious of her ability to be noble in practically any setting. Lucio’s eyes were eagerly trailing after her. His hand reached out to touch her, but he resisted at the last moment.
“I’m glad to see you’re taking full use of the bath house, Evelyn.” Nadia sat between Portia and I. She swirled her white wine in a glass that probably cost more than anything I had ever owned.
“It’s quite nice. Very relaxing.” I hummed. At least it would be relaxing, if Lucio wasn’t hovering around us.
“So, what’s this about Count Lucio? What’s going on?” Portia inquired.
Nadia smirked as she rolled her head over to me. “Go on. Explain what you did.” Her voice purred.
“Yes! Tell them how you rescued me from that awful room.” Lucio encouraged.
I let out a quiet sigh. “I was investigating the Count’s murder. And… I ended up finding Lucio still in his room.”
“He was alive?!” Portia screeched then covered her mouth at her outburst. “I mean, was he alive?” She said, her voice muffled behind her hands.
I shook my head. “Not exactly. He was stuck between the world of the living and death. So, I… helped him by…,” I bit my lip and I couldn’t bring myself to look at Porita’s curious gaze.
“Go on. Tell her.” Lucio was now laying behind me. He had his head propped up by his golden arm while his other hand swirled in the water next to me.
“I bound Lucio to me.” I finally said.
“You did what?!” Portia exclaimed. “Did he threaten you? Was he going to hurt you if you didn’t?”
“Hurt you! I can’t believe she would suggest such a thing.” Lucio scoffed.
I shook my head. “No. He didn’t. I was just trying to help.”
Nadia let out a chuckle between her sips of wine. “And now you have Lucio attached to you. I couldn’t think of anything worse.”
Portia nodded in agreement. “And I thought my day was bad. You clearly win, Evie.”
Nadia and Portia both giggled. Lucio plopped down next to me with a disgruntled huff.
I bit my lip as I looked between Lucio and Nadia. For everyone reacting like this, one would assume I had shackled myself to the most vile man in existence.
“Nadia… I hope you don’t think of this as inappropriate. But, I was hoping you could tell me about Count Lucio.” I said.
Nadia and Portia exchanged glances to one another, concern spread across both of their faces.
“You don’t even know who I am?” Lucio sputtered before calming down. “Oh, sweet Evie, I could tell you all about me. It’s my favorite subject, you know. ” He ran his finger down my shoulder to my elbow. He pressed his nose against my hair as he whispered, “You need only ask.” I had to contain the way his ghostly touch made me shiver. I was thankful he moved away from me, but he was still too close for comfort.
“Quite amazing. You bound yourself to someone you didn’t even know. I can’t tell if you’re naïve, idiotic, or selfless.” Nadia’s eyes were downcast. “But, I suppose if you did know, you wouldn’t have done it.” She swirled her glass in thought. The setting sun glinted against the fine crystal, making it dazzle. “I don’t recall much of my time with him. But, from what I remember, Lucio was… how to best put it?” Nadia hummed in thought.
“An Egomaniac?” Portia blurted out then covered her mouth again. “I’m so sorry, your grace.”
Nadia laughed and nodded. “No. That’s exactly it. Selfish. Entitled. Volatile.”
“Rude. I heard he loved to throw things at the servants anytime he was annoyed.” Portia chimed in.
Out of the corner of my eye, Lucio was completely taken back by their words. I felt a bit sorry for him. “He doesn’t sound like a good person.” I sheepishly said.
“That’s because he wasn’t, sweetheart.” Nadia chuckled. “He was only interested in what best served him. He didn’t care about what I, or anybody else wanted. Especially not the people of Vesuvia. Even though he claimed otherwise. His incompetence has led to a decline in the city, that I’m now having to fix. ” She scoffed. “The only thing he might’ve really cared about were his dogs. If that.” Nadia took a long sip of her wine, the cup was nearly finished.
“He cared about his hair.” Portia giggled.
“Ha! Yes. His looks. I will admit, he was very easy on the eyes. And very, very nice in bed.” Nadia had a playful smirk toying on her lips. “Although, needy. I couldn’t have any fun without him. He was always so desperate for any kind of attention.”
Lucio crossed his arms in an obvious pout. I felt their words slicing into me as if they were speaking ill of me.
“Surely, there must’ve been something about him that wasn’t completely terrible?” I asked, begged really, for any kind of redemption for him.
Nadia frowned, her mind years away. “If there was, I don’t remember." She met my eyes with a soft smile. "Perhaps, you’ll find something in him worth saving. Because I never could.” She finished her glass then rose from the warm waters. “All this talk of my dear husband makes me in need of another bath.”
She stalked out of the water and put back on her silk robe. She spared me a sideways glance. “If Lucio were a whore, I would’ve paid good money for him.”
“And as a Count?” I wondered.
She smiled, the answer laid within her ruby eyes, before she sauntered away.
Portia also got out of the bath. “I suppose that was a long enough soak. You coming?”
I looked from her then down to the deflated form of the Count. “Not yet. I need a few minutes to process… well all of it.”
Portia gave me a pitying smile. “I’m sure it’ll work itself out. Don’t fret!” She smiled sweetly at me. She left the room and I was alone with Lucio, who was sulking next to me.
“That was pretty brutal. Are you alright?”
Lucio’s brows furrowed and he shook his head. “I was alone in that room for three years. Not one person came to see me. Not one. And to find out it was because they all despised me.” His head fell and he looked on the verge of tears. I placed my hand on his. The energy between us briefly merged together and he jolted in place.
“What are you doing?” He asked, his glowing eyes wide with suspicion.
“I… trying to… comfort you?” I felt silly as I explained myself. He stared at our hands then back to me.
“I don’t need your pity.” He spat.
“I’m not pitying you.” I quickly said. “I’m empathizing. What they said, I could feel that it hurt you.”
“You felt…,” he let out a huff as he rolled his eyes, “Of course you did. This bond we share. Seems we’re more linked than I originally thought.” Lucio frowned.
“Seems so.”
There was a long pause between us. I wasn’t sure how to break it, but Lucio did it for me. “Do you think less of me now? Do you think I’m a-a-a self-centered, idiotic, whore?” Lucio snarled with disgust.
“Were you?” I asked.
He looked offended then grimaced. “I… I didn’t think so. I don’t know.” He was quiet as he hesitated on what he wanted to say. “Being alone in that room… I didn’t have much else to do, except think. And the only thing I could think about was if things went… differently. ”
“What would you of’ve done differently?” I wondered.
He wrapped my hand with his and stroked over the top with his thumb. He let out a sigh then whispered, “I don’t know.”
“Well, if you don’t think you’re an incompetent whore, then what do you think of yourself?” I asked.
Lucio stared into the sunset as he thought over my question. “I’m not sure.”
I furrowed my brows as I thought over what to say next. He was lost. A feeling I recognized all too well. “I see it as you have two options. You can either pout and deny what they said. Or, you can accept that you lost yourself at some point. And do something about it.” I stated.
“Pout or change.” He chuckled, but it was bitter and didn’t reach his eyes. He looked at me. “What should I do?” He asked quietly.
I was surprised he would ask me, a stranger by all accounts, for advice. “I don’t believe you want to be all those things they said.” I confessed.
His brows rose. “You don’t? How? It seems to be the common opinion of me around here.”
I bit my lip as I wrestled with my confliction to tell him the truth or not. But, the truth was what he needed right now. “I believe you’re capable of changing. I don’t think you’re truly evil at heart. I think you care about more things than yourself. I believe you can take accountability for your past actions, and move towards a better future.” I paused before adding, “But, you’re the only one who can make that choice. No one else can. I can help you, but I can’t force you to change. That’s something you’ll have to do.”
Lucio was silent, pondering over my words. “That’s quite an optimistic vision you have of me.” Lucio’s eyes fell and he leaned his head on my shoulder. “Perhaps I can try to make it come true.” He whispered.
“I want to help you.” I whispered back to him. “We’re in this together now.”
“Mhm… together.” He squeezed my hand. “I couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”
“Me either.” I whispered.
He moved closer to me with a soft sigh. “Stay with me a while longer?”
“Of course.” I laid my head against his and we watched the sun dip below the horizon.

------------------------------------------------
Thinking.
That was what (Y/N) was doing, and had been doing for the past- How long had it been? The coldness that crept up onto Jimin had only happened yesterday, but the guilt overwhelmed her the more that she had thought about it. It felt like the incident had happened days ago when all she could think about was the crestfallen look Jimin had given her before he raced out of her shop.
It wasn’t his fault that he looked at Taehyung like he hung the stars in the sky. He was a gorgeous man, not to mention the genuine kindness he had shown any person he came across. It was hard to admit, but she had been very obviously jealous. Not only did that embarrass her, but it also made her feel worse for thinking those awful things about a dog owner just wanting to get his precious baby’s hair cut.
She decided to close the shop for today, officially saying she “needed more supplies”, but privately she knew she would not be able to focus.
Oh my god, Yoongi definitely saw her acting like a fool too! The blood that had flooded her cheeks seemed to swirl restlessly even more, just begging to be noticed and called out. He luckily hadn’t mentioned anything, probably to spare the shame she would feel in the moment.
Poor Jimin… He hadn’t done anything.... (Y/N) was being selfish and she recognized it as soon as they made eye contact. His appearance had startled her.
“Jimin! Hey..” (Y/N) started nervously as she saw the man enter through the back door like he usually did. He seemed shocked that he had been found so quickly, but awkwardly smiled back at his coworker.
“Oh. Yeah, hey.” Jimin said shortly. His curt tone had honestly hurt (Y/N) a little bit, but she took in a small breath and persevered.
‘It’s your fault he’s being distant,’ a horrible voice whispered in the back of her head. ‘He deserves more than you, someone better… someone more like Taehyung.’ It whispered again.
“I am so sorry about yesterday… I didn’t mean to dismiss you like that, I just- well, I got some bad news?” her last sentence sounded more like a question than an excuse, but Jimin had obviously softened after hearing her jittery voice.
“(Y/N), it’s not a problem. It did hurt my feelings, but I’m glad you’re telling me this now. I wish you would’ve told me earlier, but I won’t force you to tell me anything you don’t want to,” his smooth voice had felt like honey to her ears, slowly melting all her fears and anxieties that she had about not being forgiven.
Unfortunately, they quickly appeared again when rethinking her shitty excuse.
How was she supposed to explain that the “bad news” she had received was watching the man in front of her look so happy with someone else? It was an awful excuse and Jimin might be worried about her. (Y/N) would have to tell Jimin more about it later, she figured. All she had cared about at this point was just to get on speaking terms with her crush-- no. Her coworker.
“Thank you so much. Seriously. I don’t know what I would do without you, Jiminie.” (Y/N) tried to express her sincerity, but she was never the best with words anyways. It was all that she could muster up even with her head clogged with the image of Taehyung and Jimin practically glowing as they stared at each other.
Still, Jimin could seemingly read into her soul, knowing that she was as genuine as she could be through her words. She could not take her eyes off his kind eyes and perfectly shaped eyebrows and structured face and plump lips and...
“You know I’d do anything to help you, honey. All you need to do is to say the words.”
Pulse quickening and face warming, (Y/N) knocked herself out of her trance once the word “honey” had left Jimin’s lips. Maybe this little work crush was turning out to be a little bigger than she thought…
She giggled like an airhead in response, and if Jimin had seen the bright flush that had spread across her face and neck, he didn’t show any signs other than a slight smirk.
“This is kinda sudden, but um… Can I hug you?” (Y/N) shyly asked. If Jimin’s excited face said anything, the warm hug that had enveloped her completely confirmed everything she thought she saw.
He gently cradled her head in one hand as his other arm pulled her into his surprisingly built chest from the shoulders. He smelled of vanilla and another gentle sweet scent that (Y/N) couldn't put her finger on. It didn’t matter now. What did matter, though, was the feeling of Jimin’s head digging into the top of her head and how he deeply inhaled. Letting out a content hum, (Y/N) wrapped both her arms around his waist and snuggled into the crook of his neck.
“Out of curiosity… where did you have to go yesterday?” (Y/N) asked into Jimin’s neck. He shivered for a split second, before responding:
“Oh, Taehyung asked me if I wanted to spend the day together. That’s why I popped in yesterday, he told me we could meet up in the shop then grab some food or someth- is everything okay?” Jimin’s perplexed and concerned voice inquired above her.
As soon as he said Taehyung, (Y/N) froze up. He skipped work, where he would be with her and the cute dogs and be getting paid, just to see Taehyung.
‘It doesn’t mean that much,’ she tries to reassure herself. ‘He’s just wanting to see possibly the most gorgeous man you have ever seen in your life. It means nothing.’
‘Liar. He doesn’t want to hang out with you.’ The mean voice in her head spat back.
“(Y/N)?” Jimin tried to pull away and bent down to see her face. “Was it something I said?”
“NO! I mean, no. I’m just. Glad you got to get out for the day. How was it?” (Y/N) forced herself to smile and look back into Jimin’s furrowed eyebrows.
“I guess it was good, but I was still pretty worried about you. Are you sure you’re okay…?” Jimin tried again, but (Y/N) shook her head defiantly.
“Yes, I’m sure I’m good right now. Give me the juicy deets about you and Tae yesterday!” (Y/N) once again forced herself into the supportive best friend role. Jimin deserves a great person to be with him, and if that person is Kim Taehyung before it’s her, she will help her coworker in any way she could.
(Why did it hurt so much when she referred to Jimin as her coworker?)
A blush formed its way across his cheeks as he thought about the patience his TaeTae showed him after he was swamped with thoughts of (Y/N) and if she was ok.
“It was really nice… he’s a great guy and I really like being with him. He just- he gets me in ways I feel like nobody else does, y’know?” Jimin softly admits as he finds a seat next to one of the grooming stations.
(Y/N) feels faint. She basically crumbles onto the ground right in front of Jimin. She looks up at him expectantly, waiting for more information that would completely destroy her heart.
‘That was you. You were the person who got me as nobody else has.’ She thought somberly, wishing she could voice out her feelings to Jimin. ‘Was I not enough?’
“He’s so patient and understanding and… I could talk about him all day,” Jimin sighs dreamily as he rests his beautiful cheek into his palm, “It might be a little soon, but I think he might be my soulmate.”
(Y/N) physically recoiled. This was the slap in her face that she had been expecting, but him voicing his feelings was like a horrible moment of finality. She tried to play her flinch off as getting dog hair off her clothes, and Jimin hadn’t even thought twice about it.
Fuck. That cut way too deep, way more than she had prepared for. She keeps her head low so Jimin can’t try to make any eye contact.
“I’m really happy for you Jiminie.” (Y/N) says dully, but with some sincerity. “You seem to be so much happier when he’s around. You deserve this.”
Jimin’s adorable teeth flashed at her as a full smile graced his already perfect face. “You really think so? Wait, is it that obvious?!”
“You look at each other like you’re meant to be. You two must be soulmates!” (Y/N) grits out despite the tears wanting to well. “You have to tell him and let me know what happens!!”
“I’m gonna call him and see if he wants to hang out again tonight! You’re the best, honey, I love you!” he shouts as he runs out of the back.
She can’t even manage a response as she walks to the back door, shuts it, and locks it.
(Y/N) can’t see straight. She can’t think straight either, as she whips out her cell phone and dials the first contact she sees on her phone. She hadn’t even meant to call anyone, truly, but it was too late to stop her sluggish mind from pressing onto a name.
“Hello?” Min Yoongi answers the phone. A response doesn’t come, except for a loud sniffle and another sob. “(Y/N)-ssi? What’s wrong?”
The dog groomer barely knows this man, how he even got into her contacts was beyond her, but all she wanted was somebody next to her.
“Can you- can- come here please? The shop?” (Y/N) barely got the words out of her sore throat but Yoongi seems to understand them.
“I- Ok, I’ll be there in about 10 minutes. Do you want to stay on the line with me?” he asks the sobbing girl gently. His soft voice was soothing and nice, but it didn’t matter much.
She couldn’t respond. Her head was filled with three words. Three words that meant so much that hurt so much just because of the context.
I love you.
Taunting and repeating in her head for seemingly hours, until the front door jingled. She saw Yoongi burst into the store quickly and that was the last thing she saw before she closed her puffy and swollen eyes.

Turn for the Better
Someone To Stay Ch. 1
Spencer x fem!reader
Spencer POV:
I open my eyes and glance around the room. It's darker than I remember. I must have fallen asleep reading on the couch again. I glance down and see a pile of books on the rug. Oh yeah...I only made it through about four books this time before I nodded off. I sigh in frustration that I'm awake. Might as well get up I suppose.
I wander into the kitchen and pull open the fridge only to be met with a jar of peanut butter, week old left overs, and a half empty jug of juice. Next.
I try again with the pantry. Almost completely bare. I guess this is what happens when you stop going to the grocery store. I settle on a cup of apple juice and a bag of chips... better than nothing right?
I slump back down onto the couch and pull my green wool blanket over me. As I stare up at my ceiling, as I begin to let my mind wander. But this was dangerous territory. I have to keep my mind occupied, I just have to. So I quickly sit back up and turn the TV to one of my favorite Dr. Who episodes. They say that anxious people re-watch the same shows because they find the familiarity comforting. I could definitely understand the feeling.
It was the weekend, which meant I wasn't called into work. Cases had been slow lately, as we spent quite a bit of time doing paperwork back at the office. Unfortunately for me, this meant less distractions. Distractions were good. Distractions were necessary. They are the only way I make it through the days anymore.
Things had finally returned to normal for me back at work. I was going into the field, and it felt like my coworkers were no longer tiptoeing around me. I hate when they do that, and it bothers me more than any amount of teasing ever could. I'm not so delicate, so easily breakable. Look at everything I have been through, everything I have endured. Yet here I am, still alive, still doing my job. I didn't need to be babied. So it was a relief when I felt the regular rapport I shared with my friends return. They had gone back to the sarcastic remarks and silly nicknames. I was grateful for it. They did, however, continue to check up on me. This was something that I did appreciate. They've seen me go down a dark road once before. I have no intentions of ever returning. I was stronger than that... I think. All I know is I have held on this long without resorting to any unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Coping mechanisms...oh how I wish I had something to make the healing process easier. Having a fairly empty social calendar left me alone often. Normally I would find comfort in the peace and quiet of my solitary apartment, but not quite so much lately. I couldn't very well make plans to go out, and I wouldn't even know how to begin to do that. Who would want to hang out with me right now anyways? I'd be a damper on the fun, and everyone knows it. That's probably why my friends stopped inviting me to the nights at the bar.
There I go again, letting my mind slip into a dark hole of anxiety. Its not a safe place to be. I quickly turn my attention back to the show in front of me, letting it drown out all other thoughts.
The ring of my phone quickly draws my attention away. Finally...another case! I jump up to answer, seeing the name on my screen: Derek Morgan. That's odd. Usually Hotch or Garcia call to notify us of a new case.
"Hello?" I answer, confusion lacing my voice.
"Pretty Boy! Buzz me up!"
Well now I'm even more confused. Derek never comes to my apartment. I quickly press the button letting him into the building and opening my apartment door, waiting for him to arrive.
As he comes up the stairs, he gives me a grin shouting, "Come on man! Get dressed. We're goin' out!"
I roll my eyes and retreat back into the apartment, Derek close behind me.
I sink back onto the couch, my eyes glued to the television as I tune him out.
"Aw c'mon. Don't be like that. How long have you been sitting there watching TV? Have you done anything else today, at all?"
I don't answer, I don't even look at him.
"Oh, let me guess. You've been reading all day, huh?"
"Wow, can't get anything past you huh?" I say dryly, regretting my tone as soon as the words left my mouth.
"Alright that it. You've been cooped up in here too long. Like I said before, we're going out. And I'm not taking no for an answer" he says sternly, raising an eyebrow at me.
I finally look up at him as I roll my eyes.
"You know I can kick your ass right?" Derek smirks.
"Fine" I concede. "Well...where are we going? I don't know what to wear unless you tell me what our plans are."
"Don't pretend you don't wear the same fancy button ups no matter where you end up going."
I let out a small laugh...he's got me there.
"Dinner at Rossi's. I know pretty boys are high maintenance but, hurry up or you'll make us late!" I smile at the nickname. Same old Derek.
Y/N POV:
You let out a sigh of relief as you watched your coworker approach you, ready to receive report. It had been a particularly busy shift, and you were ready to get some much-needed rest. You walked to each patient room, giving Clementine summary of the day and the latest updates on labs and vital signs. You stepped into each room with her, checking one last time to make sure each of your patients was doing well and didn't need anything else before you left. Normally you and Clem would spend some time catching up and making jokes, but she could tell you were tired and needed to be home more than anything. You wished her good luck on her shift as you made your way to the break room. After putting away your stethoscope and the large collection of pens, pencils, and markers you kept in your pockets, you finally headed towards the elevator to leave for the day.
You opened the door to your apartment to be greeted by your dog, Juneau. She was a rescue you adopted a few months back. She still needed to make progress, but she had really warmed up to you and your friends and seemed much more comfortable in her new home. After feeding her dinner and taking her for a short walk, you heated up a quick frozen dinner and sunk into your couch. Curling up in your blanket, you spent a few minutes browsing through different streaming services only to land on The Office, as usual. Your mind drifts to what your next few days might consist off. You just so happened to land 4 days off in a row, but you had no idea how you would spend your time. You glanced down at your phone as it lit up. It was your Uncle Will.
"Hey, whats up!" you chimed, glad to hear from your favorite uncle.
"Hey, (Y/N). I'm actually calling to invite you to a dinner some friends of mine are having tomorrow night. I know your schedule is real busy. But I haven't seen you much since you moved up here to Virginia! I know you haven't met many people here yet, but I think I can help you make a start. "
The kind gesture made you smile. You had always been fairly close with your father's side of the family. He had grown up in Louisiana and met your mother at a college in Texas. You spent your childhood in Houston but frequently visited the Cajun half of your family. Uncle Will had moved away once he fell in love with Jenifer Jareau, his now wife, and you hadn't seem much of him the past few years. But as luck would have it, your nursing career had lead you to a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA. You felt extremely lucky to have family nearby, or else you would have been completely alone. But sometimes you still felt that way, which is why you were so grateful for his offer.
"That actually sounds great! I am off for the next four days, and I didn't really have anything planned. Who will I be meeting at this dinner?"
"Well it's some of JJ's coworkers. They're like a second family to us, and I know they'll be just as welcoming to you. I already told them you moved up here, and they've been begging to meet you."
"Aww I can't wait to see Aunt JJ and my sweet little cousin, Henry! Its been so long since I came to visit you guys. I think Henry was barely two years old the last time I saw him."
"Well we all hope to see you a lot more now that you're here. You're like a daughter to us, Y/N. You are welcome to visit any time you like. I know nursing is a stressful job, and it can take a toll. Its important to have family and friends around you when things get tough." You could hear that this was a genuine offer and you fully planned to take him up on it in the future. Being alone in a new state was taking its toll.
"So where and when should I plan to meet for dinner?"
"I'll text you the address real quick. Everyone is planning to meet around 6. It shouldn't be too far of a drive. It's one of JJ's coworker's houses. David Rossi. He's a real easygoing guy, and he loves cooking for everyone. He loves meeting new people even more, so you should feel right at home!"
"Sounds like a fun time. Thank you again for thinking to invite me. I'm really looking forward to it!"
"Alright boo, talk to you later."
You smiled at the pet name used by the entire Louisiana side of your family. I guess the north had yet to steal his southern roots. You hung up the phone. You finally had plans. It would be nice to talk to someone who wasn't a coworker. It would also be your first excuse to dress up since moving and starting your new job. Too excited to wait, you jumped up from the couch and began to rifle through your closet for something to wear. You didn't want to be too over or underdressed. You grabbed a black spaghetti strap fit and flare dress and throw it on with some black panty hose, a lightweight maroon cardigan, and some black heels. You snapped a quick photo in the mirror and shoot a text to Aunt JJ.
Y/N: Apparently I'm joining y'all for dinner tomorrow night...is this too much???
Aunt JJ: I heard! I can't wait!
And oh my goodness, no! You look gorgeous! It will be perfect.
Also...Henry is so excited to see you!
You smiled, more confident in your choice. Aunt JJ had great taste. You had only had the chance to meet her in person a couple times, but the two of you had clicked right away and stayed in touch over text and Facetime. Sometimes she felt more like the sister you never had.
Starting to feel the effects of your particularly difficult shift, you start to get ready for bed. You wanted to be well rested for tomorrow. You say goodnight to Juneau and crawl into bed, snuggled under all the blankets. You fall asleep with a smile on your face, with the feeling that things in your life are about to take a turn for the better. You couldn't explain it...but somehow you just knew.

a day in the life : d.d
brief summary: carly and erin follow you for one of their videos, living a day in your life as a hollywood actress who has recently been involved in the mcu. they see what your days are like, and how they compare to your downtime with david.
word count: 2.2k requested: yes, by an anon - i really love this idea so thank you doll! warnings: literally none
* masterlistin’
“Hey guys, so we’re currently on our way to start filming for today’s video.” Carly starts off, reaching for her Starbucks as Erin drives. “It’s actually nearly 6am and I am dying inside, but to be truthful to her day we gotta do this.”
Erin pulls up to a stoplight, glancing over to the camera with a dead look in her eyes. “If you haven’t read the title, we’re following around our good friend and brilliant actress Y/n today.” Erin claps before she begins to drive again, heading down the lane toward your house hidden away. “We can’t show you anything else yet until we’re in her house, cause privacy and all.” Erin explains and Carly lowers the camera.
As they arrive at your house, the pair walk in to be greeted by your dogs. “Babies!” Carly happily laughs as she sits down amongst your dogs, letting them climb all over her as you run down the stairs, camera in hand.
“Hey, guys.” You call out as you bring them into hugs. “I can see Dexter is happy.” You chuckle as Erin continues to film.
“And as you can see, Y/n is all ready for the gym, at 6am.” Erin heavily sighs, watching as you roll your eyes and step forward.
“It kills me inside too, guys.” You tell them as you whisper to the camera before wandering toward your kitchen. “Do you want a drink before we go?” You ask them as you sit in your kitchen, picking up a bottle of water.
“How about vodka?” Erin jokes, and you chuckle.
“Bottom drawer.” You motion before picking up your keys. “But if you’re driving, stick to water girl.” You say with a smile as you walk with a skip in your step, having looked forward to this day for weeks since it was arranged.
*
Reaching the gym, you walk up to your personal trainer and give him a high five. “So, this is Pablo, he is the one to thank for these.” You motion to the muscles across your stomach and you flex your arms, unable to take yourself seriously. “But, he is also to blame for my bad moods.”
Pablo nods, “It’s true, I take all the blame if it means she is in the best physical shape she can be for filming.”
Resting your hands on your heart, you sigh contently. “He’s just too good to me.” You give him a side hug, only for him to squeeze you tightly before you make a start. “So, what’ve we got today?” You ask, resting your hands on your hips as you glance to Carly and Erin who already look exhausted.
“Okay, we’ll start with a ten minute warm-up, do some cardio and work toward the ropes. Finish up with some boxing and then thirty minutes on the treadmill.” Pablo explains and you fight back the groan, knowing it’s for your own good.
“What the fuck?” Erin gasps, turning the camera on herself as she struggles to hold her jaw together. “You do this, every day?” She asks and watches as you shrug it off.
“Part of the job.” You tell her, laughing lightly as you pat her shoulder. “If you can’t keep up, I won’t blame you. Just do what you can, Pablo is a nice guy to those who don’t pay him.” You kid and Pablo nods along with you.
As your work out goes on, Carly and Erin collapse down on the gym floor. “I don’t think I can hold the camera up much longer.” Carly groans loudly, both of them are dripping with sweat and panting heavily. “Look, Y/n is still going.” She turns the camera around to watch you, you're still giving it your all despite Pablo pushing you to work harder.
“I don’t get how she does it, but I am in awe of her strength.” Erin comments as she struggles to sit upright. “After this, we’re getting breakfast, and then heading to set for a few hours.”
“Grind never stops!” You call out to them both, letting out a heavy sigh as Pablo tells you to carry on squatting.
“That ass ain’t building itself!” He reminds you. “You wanna fit in that costume, you gotta fill your ass out girl.” He encourages you, helping you laugh through the pain that spreads as your muscles are being worked.
Walking out of the gym, you slip your sunglasses on and walk with ease whilst Carly and Erin stumble behind you. “How she is walking as if she’s just done a quick jog beats me. I am walking like I’ve been fucked like a ragdoll.” Erin groans as she follows you to your car where you wait for them both.
“Dave wants to meet with us, that chill?” You ask them and they simply nod. “He’s got a bit of time between meetings to hang out.” They watch as your smile grows at the thought of having downtime with your boyfriend.
“So, Y/n. Why don’t you tell us how you met David then?” Carly questions as she slips into the backseat whilst Erin sets her camera up on the dashboard as you drive away from the gym, nearing your favourite coffee shop.
You smile to yourself, thinking back to the first time you actually met him. “Well, for those who’re new ‘round here, hi.” You tell the camera with a bright smile. “David and I met when I was doing press for Infinity War. I had a few interviews planned in the same building as he did and we naturally clicked.”
“Not to mention, David freaked the fuck out when he told us you met,” Carly adds, leaning over from the seat behind you. “he couldn’t believe you were actually in his presence or would spare five minutes to talk to him.”
A laugh escapes your lips as you think how different it all seems now. “Gotta say I’m glad he did, I couldn’t imagine things without him in my life.” You think aloud, not realising how sentimental the statement is until you hear them both make a sound of awe.
“Y/n, that’s so sweet.” Erin tells you genuinely and you tuck your hair behind your ear, looking for a distraction.
“Well, he’s my sanity amongst the madness of Hollywood.”
*
Sitting down for breakfast, Erin lets the camera just run as you curl up next to David and rest your head on his shoulder. Your relationship was pretty lowkey considering you were both pretty big in your professions. When you went official, you knew you didn’t want everyone to obsess over your relationship, that you would remain two separate individuals. But in moments like this, it gave insight to fans how much you clearly adored one another.
The way you would smile up at David and how he’d squeeze you gently, making you laugh. It was evident you were in love, and that you brought out the best in one another as you sat together.
“You got time to visit my trailer?” You lift your head up to look at David as he pulls his cap off, ruffling his hand through his hair before he sighs.
You pull away, knowing that sigh all too well. “I don’t think I can today, babe.” He tells you quietly, leaning down and kissing you softly. “I gotta head back.”
Watching closely, you wave him goodbye as you turn back around, trying to hide your disappointment. “And that is part of the struggle.” You tell both girls truthfully, knowing this is supposed to be an accurate day in your life, not a version that is sugar-coated.
Carly reaches over, taking your hand in hers as she squeezes it lightly as tears briefly pass over your eyes. “Anyway,” You clear your throat as you pick up your coffee and head out of the cafe. “I better get to set. I’m due to film a few action sequences then I’ll just read my lines ‘til it’s dark.” You list everything off that’s still to happen today, and the girls nod along.
“Is every day like this?” Carly questions as they return to your car.
You shrug your shoulders. “Only when I’m filming.” You tell her with a smile. “Endgame is definitely easier than Infinity War was. I guess I can’t say much,” You laugh nervously.
“Oh don’t worry, we’ll make sure this is out once Endgame is.” Erin reassures you and you let out a sigh of relief. “It’ll probably take us that long to edit so it’s fine.”
“Well, I still can’t say much but, what I am in is intense.” You simply state before sealing your lips and throw away the key.
“I mean, I have no idea but okay.” Carly states causing you to chuckle as you pull away and head toward the studio.
*
“Welcome to my trailer bitches.” You pose in front of it over dramatically. “This is where I crash out, rehearse lines and often end up watching TV with Chris.” You explain, giving them a brief tour.
“Chris as in Evans?” Carly states and you nod nonchalantly.
“Yeah.” You reply with a small smile before collapsing down on your sofa. “I think I’m due in hair and makeup in about five minutes, but make yourselves at home.” You tell them as you rise to your feet. “Unfortunately, this is one part you guys can’t see.”
“Oh come on.” Erin whines and you shake your head.
“Can’t guys, the Russo’s would have my head.” You joke, but secretly you know it’s true. “I’ll be back in about an hour, just chill.”
Walking out of the trailer you head to hair and makeup, leaving Carly and Erin to their own devices. “I still can’t believe this is her life.” Erin says quietly, and Carly nods in agreement as her eyes widen. “This is insane.” She laughs lightly, only to be interrupted by a knock on the trailer door.
“Y/n, someone left you flowers.” They hear a voice call out, and slowly Carly walks to the door and pushes it open. “Oh,” The man stutters, looking to Carly who swallows her tongue back into her mouth.
“Hi.” She speaks softly, “I’m a friend of Y/n’s,” She’s trying to not stare, but it’s bordering impossible not to.
“Chris, I think I’ve heard Y/n talk about you guys.” He says with a smile. “Anyhow, can you give her these when she’s back?” He asks and Carly nervously nods. “Thanks.” He pats her arm before walking off, and Carly looks down at her arm before turning to Erin in a state of shock.
“I think I just met Chris Evans and he gave me flowers. I officially win.”
*
With a loud yawn, you walk back to your trailer. “Hey guys,” You call out as you close the door behind you, kicking your shoes off as you remain in your costume. “I am exhausted.” You laugh lightly, collapsing down between them as they share a look. “What’d I miss?”
“Well,” Carly sits upright. “Chris Evans brought me flowers. I mean, he brought you flowers that someone left for you.” Carly motions to the bunch of flowers resting on your window ledge.
Uneasily, you rise to your feet and walk over. Buried in the sunflowers is a small letter. Instantly, you recognise the handwriting and smile to yourself.
‘I’m sorry I can’t always be ‘round to keep you going. but I promise there’s more to come. D x’
You hold the note to your chest before slipping it back underneath the flowers. “From anyone we know?” Erin raises an eyebrow to you, watching as you shrug a shoulder, trying to hide your smile.
“Possibly.” You reply coyly before sitting down and shutting your eyes for a while.
*
“Well guys, we’re going to call it a day as it’s nearly eleven pm and Y/n is still filming.” Erin yawns as they walk out of the filming lot. “I actually had no idea what to expect, but all I can say is wow.” She huffs and Carly nods.
“Yeah, Y/n is a badass and I had no clue this is how much she does on a daily basis when filming.” Carly takes hold of the camera as they reach their Uber. “But I can honestly say my respect for actors has shot up, trying to do their routine is insane.”
“And maintaining relationships outside of the job too.” Erin adds. “I mean, I know you guys don’t see everything we do, but all I can say is that David and Y/n make each other extremely happy.”
“Exactly. Anyway, we’ll get going as we have not stopped since Y/n started.” Carly states as she yawns. “I need to go sleep for three days. But we’ll see you on Tuesday.”
*
“And that’s a wrap for tonight!” You hear a voice shout and you hold your hands up and dance to yourself alongside Pratt.
“We did it!” He high fives you as you weakly walk out with a few of your cast members, talking about how it went.
“See you tomorrow, Y/n!” You wave a few of them off as you walk up to your trailer and shut the door behind you, only to see someone sat down.
Turning your head, you smile softly as David sits there, holding a bunch of red roses. “Told you I had more coming.” He says with a smile as he stands up and moves toward you, wrapping his arms around your waist and bringing you close into his chest. “This okay?” He questions as you nod into the crook of his neck.
“This is perfect.”

Playing Grounds....
Part 2
Two weeks had gone by since the run in with Erik and her petty ass was honestly still livid. How dare he dismiss her with that “aint worth shit” comment. He was the one that wasn’t worth a damn, well maybe a good time, fine, brown skin god of a man but that meant nothing. She’d tried convincing herself that she was glad he didn’t attempt anything anymore. A complete fucking lie.
Erik hadn’t even noticed her nor had he spoke to her since. (Y/N) spent a few extra minutes in her car mirror everyday for the past two weeks making sure she looked drop dead gorgeous just to be seen.
“Kill! Mama com’mer!” That familiar thunderous voice echoed through the park as the clumsy puppy scooped up the ball heading towards him.
(Y/N) watched from the swings as Erik flexed his muscles, without intention, continuing to throw the ball at the pup. Damn was he fine. The way Erik paused to take a sip of his water allowed (Y/N)’s mind to turn. She’d imagined his lips attached and sucking from her honeypot instead of that stupid plastic bottle.
“Mommy! Look I’m flyin’!” Zeke shouted from the very top of the swing knocking her from the inappropriate thoughts brewing in her mind. (Y/N) fixed her slim fitted scrubs that clung to her body perfectly.
“I see baby.” She smiled watching her son in a fit of giggles. “It’s almost time to go though. Let’s go grab your bag.”
Zeke hopped from the swing’s set taking off towards their belongings on the bench. He’d been in a good mood all afternoon since (Y/N) worked while he was in school meaning they were going home to spend the rest of the night doing whatever Zeke concocted in his 4 year old mind.
“Doggy!” Zeke ran towards the parking lot as (Y/N) watched him right on his trail.
“Babe! Slow down!” She hummed making her way to the car as he waited for her to unlock the door. “Get in and eat your snack.” She smiled closing the door to the back. “Shit!” Clutching her imaginary pearls at the sight of the midnight colored puppy standing at her trunk. Killa watched (Y/N) every move intensely as she attempted to make it toward the drivers side.
“Kill?!” That voice. The sound of irritation bounced into the air. “Killa! Baby girl where are you?” “Kil-“
“Erik! Get your fucking dog!” (Y/N) squeaked out as Erik made his way towards her harnessing Killa with the leather leash. “I thought you said she was nice?” She rolled her eyes riddled with fear.
“She is.” A devilish grin spread across his face. “When bitches are nice to me...” Erik tightened his grip on Killa turning around.
Hearing the word made her bubble at her core. This patchy beard ass negro! “Bitches?” Her pace picked up moving towards him. “Fuck you, Erik!” (Y/N) screamed slightly above her regular voice catching the attention of a few parents. “I.ain’t.shit? Her hands smacked together in his direction with each word. “I ain’t shit but you wanted to get to know me?” She scoffed.
His bottom lip wedged between his teeth replaced the sinister smirk as Erik watched her become the brat he knew she was. “You done?”
“Am I done?” (Y/N)’s head snapped to the side. This nigga was really testing her again.
“Yea.” Erik closed in on (Y/N)’s personal space. The minty fresh breath, saddlewood scent and those intense dark eyes paralyzed her momentarily. “Grown ass women out here acting out.” He chuckled licking his lips. “Sounds like a brat to me.” Her breath hitched taking in the factual insult as he got closer to her ear. “I’ll straighten your lil ass out.”
“Typical niggas.” She turned around going back towards her SUV. “Kiss my ass!” She shouted before throwing up her middle finger.
“I plan to, princess!” Erik chuckled watching her ass jiggle in her scrubs while she strutted back to her car. “Keep that same energy when I do!”
“You could never handle me!” She called from her car window pulling off.
——-
The sterile smell of the hospital filled Erik’s nose as he walked through the halls on the hunt.
“Sir may I help you?” A women at the NICU nurse station stopped him on his hunt for her.
“I’m looking for (Y/N) (Y/LN).” He smiled letting the gold glisten from his mouth as her gave her full name. Smiling the nurse paged (Y/N). “Tell her it’s her man.” He winked.
“You can have a seat.” Erik took a seat waiting for her to come. He questioned what exactly he was doing. Why was he so intrigued by her? Erik knew who he was and he knew he could have his pick of any women yet here he was interested in a single mom with a whole fucking attitude. Why was he popping up to her job on some stalker shit?
“Hey Leah.” (Y/N)’s sweet voice made Erik’s heart flutter for a quick second. “Did you say my man?” She laughed slightly. “Or was the radio going out because I def-“
“What’s up, princess?” The plum scrubs complimented her chocolatey smooth brown skin. Her plump lips shined slightly from her cherry lipgloss. Of course (Y/N) looked beautiful and of course Erik couldn’t stop the part of him that wanted her no matter how many times she acted fucking bratty.
“What are you doing here Erik?” Her eyes looked shocked and most of all surprised. “How did you even know my name- no, how’d you know where I worked?” (Y/N) fired of questions to Erik as he stood there still in awe of her beauty. The fuck was wrong with him.
Brushing his fingertips across the badge against her chest, “Your badge, princess.” A slight smile swiped across (Y/N)’s face.
“So not only are you rude ... I can add stalker too.”
“Told you I wanted to get you know, princess.” He winked as his right hand found its way on her hip.
“I have to commend you for you efforts.” Her lips spread from cheek to cheek showcasing her pearly whites. No one had ever been so dedicated to get to know her ... not even Zeke’s dad.”
“When I like it” That familiar intense gaze watched her. “I get it.” The roll of her eyes only fueled Erik more. “Don’t act like you didn’t want my attention, (Y/N). I noticed the extra time you spent in your car at the park or how those scrubs started to show that ass even more.” Erik gripped the other side of waist pulling her warm body closer to his whispering in her ear. “Bratty ass needs to be taught a lesson.” His soft lips grazed her ear with each word. Any outsider would assume the two were a lovely couple talking intimately.
The slight moan escaped (Y/N)’s mouth. “Uh- I- mmh...take this.” She scribbled down quickly on one of her prescription sheets. “I think maybe we got off on the wrong foot.”
After watching her walk off down the hallway, Erik looked down on the sheet to discover her phone number. “Got that ass.”

Point-by-Point Scoob Analysis (second viewing, bc I’m bored)
Spoilers below!
Why Venice Beach, I have to wonder? And why this song? I don’t dislike it, but I’m curious about the reasoning
The gyro scene is really fun XD
Shaggy’s intro is perfect - the music, the “Casey’s Creations” and Mystery Machine aesthetics, just beautiful. You can see the little shake in his hand as he switches to the podcast - he’s so alone :(
“I lose a lot of balls” funny AND sad. And Young Sheldon being lonely is on point for him
Gyro meat - convenient! But yeah, I can see how Shaggy’s weird lunch combos would be off-putting to others
Oh, he found him ON Halloween?? That’s so odd. (But on brand)
“Well mostly man. It’s mostly just the suit that’s falcon.”
“Like no way bruh” Really? That... sounds odd coming from Shaggy.
...Since when do young boys care about blood sugar? Also, “We’re okay with that” XD
Baby Fred, Daphne, and Velma are also perfect
...No. No no. RBG is not a Slytherin. But that, braces Velma and Hogwarts references very much modernize the series and put them firmly in modern day (without going too out there).
The kids are such badasses, it’s awesome
The replication of the original credits is *perfect* - they even got the original Space Creep sound
Scooby handles the accounting? Also, how old are they supposed to be? If they’re expected to pay taxes and get called millennials, are they late 20s?
I’m really not convinced by the Simon Cowell bit, I’m sorry. They could have made him a bland British investor, not attached to the name. There really should have been some more time invested in this scene (but I AM glad Mystery Inc never agreed with Simon, or even considered he was right) (Also Simon - haven’t you heard of networking? Making friends to get ahead?)
Scooby bowling is such great physical comedy, and the chase is very Scooby Doo
Hyper-specific police code ftw
Falcon Fury!
You know Scooby and Shaggy are having a bad day when they’re *happy* to be in danger
The falcon entrance is admittedly funny
I really wish if Blue Falcon and Dynomutt had to have such a bug role, there’d been more about how Dynomutt feels about his original owner basically ditching him. It seemed like that was supposed to have more significance, and then it didn’t.
The shake button XD and Dastardly is fantastic from the first
...right, because this script wasn’t also written by middle-aged men.
Also, how’d she know about the blue light?
Velma fanning out is fun
The robots make me uncomfortable, and I’m not sure why.
Muttley <3
I appreciate that Falcon was trying to be resourceful.
“You’re now out of... everything.”
Scooby and Shaggy’s gift is to inspire - they’re the lucky charm
...And this is where I started to dislike Falcon. He’s just... he’s too dumb. The bravado is one thing, but then Fred is a little too similar. I think Falcon is supposed to be a foil for Shaggy, but I don’t know... didn’t quite work for me.
OH! I didn’t get the connection between the Greek restaurant at the beginning and the Cerberus plot until now! Nice.
DeeDee deserves more credit, hands down. Honestly, make her Blue Falcon.
I love all the references in the arcade - Hex Girls, Hong Kong Phooey, LaffALympics
The fun house scene is really cool! And funny, so colorful
My mom really liked this bit with the Ferris Wheel and the bumper cars and the smoke cloud - more traditionally cartoony
And I started to dislike Falcon more here. -__- (Like you acknowledge Shaggy is hurting and then just decide let’s give the dog a super suit instead of focusing on the mission? 90% of what goes wrong in this move is his fault and I don’t like it)
Okay. I get that Shaggy is really insecure. And Scooby isn’t reassuring him at all. But it feels like there’s more going on here, and I wish he’d had the chance to talk about it more than he did to give us more context. (But I still maintain this is less contrived than Shaggy falling for that Mary Jane girl in the live action film, so I’ll let it pass)
I actually really like Daphne’s characterization as the people person (though I feel real bad Grey DeLisle wasn’t given a chance to voice her), and how the gang are quick to realize how much Shaggy and Scooby contribute. They were never down on them, but it’s still important.
Messick Mountain :)
Velma as Dynomutt was great
I do really like the plot and how it ties to friendship. Also, Muttley is perfect, my parents loved him.
Poor man’s Hemsworth
I initially questioned whether Scooby would really be safer off the ship. But of course that’s not the point - this kicks off the conflict. Remember kids: NEVER give someone an ultimatum.
I appreciate that this was the only poop joke in the movie. Unlike the original Scooby Doo movie...
And now Shaggy realizes he was an ass. But seriously - the “Shaggy’s refusal to change is tearing them apart” thing needed a little more finessing. I see where they were going, but didn’t quite make it home.
The Captain Caveman bit was a little... eh? Not sure what I’d put there instead. It does the point of showing Falcon and Scooby they’re not really traditional hero material.
Scooby looks so sad as he gets taken :(
See, this is where I feel like Falcon and Fred were too similar, though it is pretty funny
See... I don’t think this speech was earned. It’s beautiful. If I saw it in isolation it would be great. But something was missing in the buildup. I can’t see how Shaggy made it from “I screwed up” to “Friendship changing is okay.”
This whole Athens bit is so beautiful and cinematic, I hope this gets a chance to be in theaters someday!
Flying mystery machine!
FLUFFY!
Mystery Inc reunion <3 But poor Fred, his van up in flames
(Someone set this to “Your Wagon is On Fire” from Trail to Oregon!)
Dastardly and Muttley is actually pretty sweet, but not a Scooby-Shaggy redux. (My parents love the snicker)
THE ASCOT RETURNS! But this is usually the part where he figures out a trap.
Scooby and Shaggy growing and embracing their roles on the team <3
“I’m so weak” - my parents and I laughed hysterically at this
The Dynomutt-Falcon moment was nice :) (again, not sure it was earned). Also, cool wings are cool.
This really is a Scooby Doo Avengers
Shaggy becomes important in the worst possible way :(
“Back when we were kids, you saved me. Now it’s my turn.” Damn with the feeeeels
Scoooby :(
“But why would Alexander make a gate that would separate him from his best friend forever?” Martyrdom is not the only way, y’all
Aw, Dynomutt is trying
Had to throw in an unmasking
I guess they got backing after all!
(Wait... was Dick Dastardly the Simon Cowell at the beginning??? That would make so much sense, actually!! Is this confirmed?! )
Don’t know how I feel about the new Mystery Machine, but Fred is happy :)
DeeDee deserves a raise
Falcon Force! Falcon realizes he needs friends too. But Dastardly is at large...
Okay, second watch was less off-putting. I do like it! It’s colorful and sticks to the cartoon, and there’s clearly so much love here, for Scooby and all of Hanna Barbara. Admittedly, this isn’t really a mystery - it’s a superhero origin story, which admittedly the trailers should have prepared me better for. But we’ve seen Scooby mysteries on the big and small screen, so I see why they had to change it up to justify such a blockbuster animation project. (Not unlike Recess: School’s Out going from middle school slice of life to save-the-world adventure.) And we do get mystery-solving shenanigans in the beginning.
But as a result, things do feel a tad bit dumbed down, particularly with Blue Falcon, Fred, and Shaggy’s development. I don’t love that aspect, but I can see why that compromise had to be made.
So all in all, I think it’s a solid film! It’s more Trolls than Pixar, but honestly? Not sure I’d have Scooby Doo any other way.

Stuck -- Chapter Twelve
Masterlist Previous Next
Word Count: 3000
“Just a few more hours, princess,” Taehyung’s voice is the first thing I hear as I stir awake. “Have a nice nap?”
“Mmhmm,” I smile, stretching as best I can in an airplane chair.
“That’s good,” he kisses my temple. “How do you feel?”
“Good,” I rub my eye, noticing my lack of glasses. “Tae, my way to see.”
“Glasses, cutie,” he chuckles, handing me my case. “Still waking up?”
“Yeah,” I yawn, rubbing my cheek on his shoulder. “I guess all this traveling caught up with me.”
“Are you talking about last night? I am so sorry.”
“It’s not that,” I force my eyes to stay open. “I forgive you Tae. Babe, I’m the one who messed up. Jimin is a good friend of both of us, and I know how you get insecure. I am sorry.”
“No, you don’t need to be sorry. Just know, I am going to be better. They are our friends, and I shouldn’t get jealous. I’m the one who will be spending the rest of my life with you.”
“It’s good that you are a better person now, and you have grown. Being jealous over you friends is bad. Now, I am okay with you being protective when we go out.”
“Like, to award shows? Of course I’ll be protective. You won’t leave my sight.”
I smile, “I love you.”
“I love you, jagi,” he kisses my temple. “Tell me about your Instagram videos.”
“I posted a clip of me dancing, and now people want full videos. They love how I give a new twist to your dance.”
“We should dance together,” he lowers his voice. “Just the two of us, at home, in our bedroom.”
My cheeks are ablaze in seconds. “I don’t think so, so.”
“Nervous?”
“For my first time?” I whisper. “It’s only natural.”
“What about singing?” Taehyung brings his voice up to normal level. “Posted any clips of your lovely voice?”
“No, I am not confident enough to do that,” I shake my head, resulting in nuzzling further into Taehyung’s arm. “You are so comfy, babe. I might fall back asleep.”
“No,” he whines. “I want to talk to you more.”
“What is there to talk about?”
“Well, when we get home, I am going to show you so much love. So many kisses and cuddles.”
“I look forward to it.”
“And I am going to mark you up,” he teasingly nibbles the top of my ear. “You can do the same to me.”
“I will,” I choke out. “This is all so embarrassing, but I like it.”
“It’s so sexy,” he coos. “Princess, you do crazy things to me. You’ll never understand.”
“Oh, I understand. I have to watch you perform all the time, and it does the same thing. You are so hot on stage.”
He wiggles around so he can use the hand of the arm I’m leaning on to grab my hand and intertwine our fingers. “I guess that’s true. I don’t know how you keep your hands off me. It’s hard for me to.”
“Well, you are a dirty boy,” I smirk. “Is that all you want to talk about?”
“Are you really tired?”
“Is something wrong, Tae?”
“I’m just lonely and bored. Plus, my phone died.”
I giggle, “Grab my DS from my bag. I’ll play some Pokémon.” I give his hand a squeeze, pulling away and sitting up. “Can’t have my Tae-Tae sad.”
As I place my glasses on my face, Taehyung gets my DS and starts it up. It’s sweet moments like this that I live for.
“Do you want to play, babe?” I giggle as Taehyung begins exploring with my character.
“No, no,” he looks down at me. “You play it way better than I ever could.”
“I can teach you,” I grin up at him.
“Not this time. I just want to watch you, princess.” He presses a kiss to my lips. “I’ll play a game for you to watch when we get home.”
I press my lips to his for a few seconds, feeling my heart swell with happiness. “Put that down in the notebook of things I want to do.”
“You get to playing,” he hands me my DS, giving my cheek a kiss. “I’ll get my notebook out, and make sure it is up to date.”
I look down at the device in my hands, getting right to playing. “You are beyond sweet, oppa. All I do is stay by your side. I don’t have a notebook of things you want to do.”
“You don’t need one, because just being with me is enough. I’ll plan what we do, and make both of us happy.”
“I still like surprising you,” I nibble on my bottom lip.
“Don’t go overboard. I love you when you are just being you. You surprise me in little ways every day.”
I rest my head on his shoulder, “People think you aren’t that smart, but they are so wrong. You may get a faraway look sometimes, but you always know just want to say to cheer me up. You just like to be silly, but you can be serious.”
“This is why you are the only girl for me,” Taehyung rests his head on mine. “For now and forever.”
********
I sigh in content as Taehyung runs his fingers across my upper arm as he has his arm slung across my shoulder to keep me close. People are rushing around us as we walk with the group through the airport. Cameras flashing, security leading the way, and girls shouting whatever comes to their mind.
“Taehyung and Amber, you are too cute!” A girl shouts out from nearby.
I smirk under my black face mask. I’ll admit, Taehyung and I are a cute couple right now. The two of us are dressed up in the same outfit: black t-shirt, black sweats, black sandals, and a black face mask. Taehyung has headphones in, listening to a playlist I made for him. I have nothing in my ears to block out the noise.
“This way,” a man’s that’s with us to keep all of us safe, motions for us to exit out a door. Direction is changed, and in the next moment we are outside. The bright warm sun kissing my skin.
“Finally, fresh air,” I take a deep breath.
Taehyung leads me to the van that will takes us home, helping me into the back. “Careful, baby. No need to rush.”
I smile, slipping my backpack off my shoulders and placing it on the ground. Then I sink into the right seat. “Why so protective? I wasn’t going to trip.”
Taehyung is next to me in the next few seconds, pulling me onto his lap. “I heard some rude things, and I just want you safe.” He unhooks both our face masks from our ears.
“Like what?” I loop my arms around his neck.
“Things about your body, our relationship, and just nasty things. I’m glad you didn’t hear any of it. People can be terrible.”
“Too focused on you,” I smile.
He places kisses all over my face, “As you should be, so you don’t wander off.” His large hands grip my hips, and giggles leave my lips.
“Tae, you are so silly,” I capture his lips with mine. “But, kisses are always nice.”
“So, let me continue,” he mumbles against my lips before connecting them again.
“Stop,” Yoongi’s voice breaks Taehyung and I from our make-out. “No more. I have to ride home with you.”
I scoot off Taehyung’s lap, cheeks heating up. “Sorry. Are you sitting back here, brother?”
“No, I’ll stay in the middle,” Yoongi takes a seat in the middle right seat.
Jimin climbs in next, a smile on his face. “How are the two love birds?”
“Fine,” Taehyung pulls my legs to lie over his lap. “It went downhill when we stopped kissing.”
“Tae,” I squeal, slapping my boyfriends chest. “Come on, kissing isn’t everything.”
“It isn’t, but kissing you is like a drug. I can’t get enough,” he rubs his nose against mine.
The door to the van closes, and with the five of us, Namjoon now in the passenger seat, we take off.
“So, cutie, do you still have to pick up your dogs once you’re dropped off?” Jimin turns to look back at me. “Or did Emily drop them off already?”
“The second the plane landed, I texted her, and told her how far away we were,” I answer, grabbing Taehyung’s hand. “Our puppies should be patiently waiting for us.”
“I’ve missed Holly,” Yoongi sighs.
“My jagiya has missed our dogs,” Taehyung wiggles his fingers in my grasp. “So it’s good to be home for a little bit.”
“Namjoon-oppa, what are you doing up there?” I call up to the man in the front.
“Texting my lovely girlfriend,” Namjoon replies. “She’s coming over to the dorm, and your dogs are waiting for you at you apartment.”
“Oh, Tae, we need to clean when we get home,” I bring his hand up to kiss his fingers. “House party at our place tomorrow.”
“Finally,” Jimin teases. “I’m assuming take-out. You shouldn’t cook. You’ll be tired.”
“I can cook,” Taehyung pouts.
“Not that good,” Yoongi snarks.
A giggle bursts through my lips, but I slap my hand over my mouth in an instant. “Sorry babe.”
Taehyung presses a hard kiss to my cheek, “No worries, princess. I can get you back,” he smirks.
“Gross,” Jimin groans, turning around in his seat. “Don’t talk about your bedroom life around us.”
“What?” I stammer out. “No, oh goodness. Tae and I, we, we have never done anything. I swear.”
“Aw, little one, are you flustered?” Yoongi teases. “We know Tae takes it a tad far, giving you hickeys. Good to know sex is off the table at the moment.”
“Stop,” I whine, hiding my red face in my hands. “It’s personal, and I don’t want to talk about it.”
“We just sleep in the same bed, nothing more. We’ve been together for a few years, but sex is not for our relationship at the moment,” Taehyung says.
“Tae,” I whine. “Please, no more. This talk is going to make me explode from embarrassment.”
“Good, you don’t need to be thinking about it for a long time,” Yoongi says. “Stay a kid, Amber, for as long as possible.”
“I’ll always be a kid,” I pull my hands away from my face. “With Tae, I’m sure it will be easy.”
“Aw, jagi, your cheeks are so red,” Taehyung leans forward to rub our noses together again. “You are too cute. That’s why I love you so much.”
I giggle, shoving him away. “Shut up.”
“You only love her when she’s acting cute, Tae?” Namjoon questions.
“I love all of her,” Taehyung messes with the hem of my shirt. “All her personalities, and her looks. She’s my perfect princess.”
“So, when you get married, will she be promoted to queen?” Jimin asks.
“If that’s what she wants to be called,” Taehyung looks at me with a curious twinkle in his eyes. “Jagi, would you want to be called queen?”
I shrug, “I’m not sure. Do I have options?”
“Hm, I think wifey would be cute.”
“I really like that,” I tenderly smile. “Does that answer your question, Chim-Chim-oppa.”
“Yeah, it does, cutie,” Jimin glances back at me.
The rest of the ride is filled with random small talk about concerts , fans, and music. Finally, the attention is off me, and my face can cool down.
“I’ll see you up there, babe,” I give Taehyung a chaste kiss, rushing into the apartment building. The elevator will be way too slow, so I run right for the stairs, taking them two at a time. Thanking my workouts for keeping me in shape.
“Come on,” I fumble with my keys, struggling to open the door. Barks sound form the other side of the door, making my heart swell. “Calm down,” I take a deep breath. Then, I hear the door unlock, and I’m inside my apartment. Haipeo and Keyowo are on me in an instant. Yips and happy whines coming from the two dogs. They try licking any part of my skin they can find.
I fall to my knees, tears pouring out of my eyes. “Hi babies. Oh, mommy is home. I missed you so much.”
“Perfect timing,” Taehyung’s voice fills my ears minutes later. “Are you okay, jagi?”
I sniffle, “Just happy to be home.” I look back to see my boyfriend standing in the doorway with our luggage. “They missed their mommy,” I giggle as Haipeo licks the tears off my cheek, and Keyowo nuzzles my leg.
Taehyung chuckles, “Of course they did. I hope I get some love. Probably when you are taking a shower.”
“I should get going then,” I smile. “They missed their daddy, don’t worry. The three of us love you so much.”
“I hope so,” he smiles back. “Come on, you need a cleansing shower. Then lots of cuddles.”
********
If my house could always have as much life as it does on this day, then there’s no reason I would ever have to leave. All my friends together in one place lifts me up, and I feel better than ever.
“Thank you both to the moon and back for bringing the food today,” I smile at Emily and Nari as we stand in the kitchen.
“It was fun,” Nari pats my hand. “And you just got home, so we had to do it.”
“I did make a cake,” I look over at the smorgasbord: Noodles and rice, salad, cheesy potatoes, soondubu stew, roasted chicken, and my cake.
“It smells so good in here,” Emily leans on the counter. “Everything tasted great.”
“Seconds in a little bit,” I giggle.
The day has been a bigger hit than I could have imagined. Our own Forth of July party, and great open house to show the boys how we live.
“Are you home for five days this time?” Nari speaks up.
“Correct,” I look around at the boys that have made a home in mine.
Seokjin, Namjoon, and Hoseok are out on the balcony talking about who-knows-what. At times they seem serious, but then they will burst into laughter. Yoongi is on the floor by the couch surrounded by the puppies. His gummy smile hasn’t left his face since the dogs came up to him. Holly loves Haipeo and Keyowo, so I can see a lot more playdates in the future. Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung have been playing video games for hours. They barely stopped to eat. As long as they have fun, I can’t complain.
“I’m just happy I got to spend some time with Namjoon yesterday,” Emily snaps me back into the conversation. “Staying at the dorm with him was what I needed.”
“And now you are spending time with me,” I boxy smile. “Nari, did you catch up with Jin?”
“Very much,” Nari’s gaze flitters to look at her boyfriend on the balcony. “We do well apart, though. Probably because we both work so hard, and chill time rarely has us thinking of the other.”
“That’s better than me,” I sigh. “being away from Tae is never easy.”
“I think I did okay,” Emily runs a hand through her hair. “Calling every night helped, and Skype is a blessing.”
“It’s a good thing your job allows you to travel, Amber,” Nari smile. “Taehyung truly is your angel.”
“Well, angle is a bold statement,” I chuckle, turning to look at my boyfriend.
Taehyung is already looking at me, and it makes a blush rise to my cheeks. His blank face turns to a smug smirk at my reaction. He runs his tongue over his lips, winking as he sits up on the couch. Then he blows me a kiss.
“I’m sorry girls, “I look back at my cousin and best friend. “There’s a boy on the couch who needs me.”
“More like wants,” Emily smirks, pinching my cheeks before I slap her hand. “Go ahead, though. We’ll go to our boyfriends.”
“Movie later, right?” Nari asks.
“Yes. This party is far from over,” I giggle, turning so I can walk over to my boyfriend.
“Baby,” Taehyung reaches out for me, making grabby hands. His tongue wetting his lips once again.
“Oh, Tae, so silly,” I plop down on the couch, giving him a quick kiss before snuggling into his side. “Did you need me for something?”
“Just wanted to cuddle, since I don’t want to play whatever it is they are playing.”
“It’s FIFA,” Jungkook glances back at us. “And it’s two player, so you can’t play anyways.”
“That’s okay,” I wiggle around as Taehyung wraps his arms around me. “We can watch.”
“You can play next, cutie,” Jimin smiles back at me. “If you want.”
“I’ve never played,” I place my hand on top of Taehyung’s that’s resting on my hip. “And, sports games really aren’t my thing. I’m okay watching.”
“Just speak up if you want to play,” Jungkook nods. “It is your house and system.
The two boys turn back to the TV, and I look up at Taehyung.
“Are you having fun, jagi?” Taehyung kisses my forehead.
“A ton,” I tenderly smile. “Our home has so much life. I always want it to feel like this.”
“Another thing to write down.”
“I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay awake for a movie,” I yawn “People still tire me out. Even friends.”
“You’ll just snuggle up to me and sleep,” Taehyung runs his fingers through my hair.
“Or, she can snuggle up to me,” Yoongi speaks up.
“Just squish me between the two of you,” I giggle. “Share me.”
“Tae will just hog you,” Yoongi shakes his head. “But we can try it.”
I smile, “Good. That’s what I like to hear.” I focus on the video game being played by Jungkook and Jimin. “Now, shush. I need to learn this crazy game.”

Resolution
As promised, here’s the next part of my previous post. Although things look like they can wrap up here, it’s only just the beginning for Johnny and Essie.
Since I don’t write chronologically most of the time, please expect to read snippets before and after their relationship in the coming posts.
Without further ado, here’s a long read that has a lot of commas and the word ‘really’. Please don’t turn this into a drinking game, okay? Johnny in the GIF will look at you disbelievingly if you do. But then, he might join you just for shits and giggles.
Mahal ko kayong lahat! :)
–––
Summary: Johnny and Essie continue to be an awkward mess that their other best friend, Kibum, notices this change. He decides to help the two by ‘counseling’ them, and settle their differences – is there any at all? – once and for all.
POV: 2nd person still. I started writing the bulk of my stories using this perspective before I switched back to 3rd.
Word count: 2,100 + words
Genre: Romance, and a teeny weeny bit of angst and hurt that you probably won’t feel it. At all.
Warning: Mentions of someone smoking, if you’re uncomfortable with characters doing so. And I could use a couple because Lord knows it’s been two months since I’m clean of it.
–––
Kibum is such a mom, you thought. You suppressed the urge to roll your eyes as he set a huge plate of pasta on the table. He cooked spaghetti with crabmeat sauce, which has edged chicken pesto out as your favorite pasta dish. You couldn’t help but clap your hands in glee as you saw the steam coming out from the plate.
“Well Essie, can you not fawn over the pasta and set the table?” Kibum was annoyed at your dilly-dallying and you immediately got to work by bringing out the fine china.
After all, he was at your apartment with him. The time has come for you to confront your problem with him, and Kibum was generous enough to give some of his time to ‘counsel’ you two.
“Youngho, can you check if we have drinks in the fridge?” The older guy ordered, and the person he asked lazily shuffled towards your red Smeg. “Hmmm, just water and a bottle of red wine. Is that okay? Or should I get some soda or something else?” He said a moment later, his hands running over the tops of the water pitchers.
“No, that’s okay. Bring them out, please,” Kibum said, returning to the table with a wooden board filled with cold cuts and cheese.
You ‘ooh’-ed at how wonderful your meal looked like, with the pasta, cold cuts, cheese, and steak. As Johnny placed the bottle of red wine in the middle of the table, you went to sit at your usual place. He sat across you, and Kibum settled in the middle.
“Thank you, Bumkey!” You and Johnny said in unison, which made the two of you look at each other. You felt your cheeks flush since it has been a while that the both of you said anything at the same time. You looked at your plate, and he did the same.
“Okay, guys? I really need to start this ‘counseling’ session since I don’t want things to become more awkward than they are,” Kibum grumbled, moving closer to the table. “So, what happened to the two of you? Why are you acting like you’re shy of each other?” He continued, hands spread wide to refer to his friends.
When no one answered, he grabbed the bottle of red wine and poured each glass. “Maybe this will loosen you up,” Kibum muttered, taking a sip of the Sangiovese you purposely reserved for special occasions. Although you consider this the opposite, maybe it’s about time that you drink it with your closest friends.
You took a sip and Johnny mirrored you, eyes shyly looking at each other. Kibum groaned again, getting frustrated with the situation. “This! It’s as if you guys are––” he paused as if something in his mind clicked.
“Are you guys in love with each other or something?”
You almost spit the wine you were drinking, and Johnny coughed. He hit the nail on the head, you thought. You set the glass on the table and slowly sank in your seat, wanting to disappear.
“Yeah, Kibum hyung. Well, I’m in love with her, but I’m not sure how she really feels for me,” Johnny said, now playing with the knife and fork. He was trying his best to be engrossed with the utensils, but then you caught him looking at you from time to time.
“You haven’t given him an answer, Essie? And what, it’s been like two weeks since we’ve been hanging out with this awkward air around us!” Kibum was near hysterics, his small eyes becoming bigger with each word that came out of his mouth.
“I’m sorry!” You started, sitting up straight this time. “Well, I really don’t know…I mean, I do love Johnny with all my heart, but I’m not sure if this is the time to start a relationship?” Your voice faltered at the end, and you couldn’t look at them both in the eye after your admission.
“Why not, Essie? You have been single for long,” Johnny said, eyes intently looking at your face.
“Yeah, dear. You haven’t dated in ages, and I don’t mind if the two of you will do so,” Kibum interjected.
Their answer made you feel how lonely you were for the past years, being single after dating a guy on and off until he ghosted you completely. You felt tears running down your face, and you covered it, ashamed at how you were feeling right now.
Since the guy across you does really love you, he went to your side immediately and wiped your tears with his handkerchief. “You really didn’t need to do that,” you mumbled in between his wiping, and he pinched your nose gently.
“But I want to,” he said softly, now wiping the snot under your nose. “And it hurts me when I see you crying.” He patted your head, and you couldn’t help but lean against his touch.
“Not that this is cute, but are we good now? And what were you crying about, dear?” Kibum interrupted your moment, a smirk gracing his features.
You rolled your eyes at his cheeky grin and batted Johnny back to his seat. “You guys had to remind me how lonely I’ve been, and my tears couldn’t help it,” you chuckled, wiping the last of your tears with your thumb.
“Aw, we’re sorry. But you know Johnny’s here, he’s going to take real good care of you!” The older guy said cheerfully, clapping his hands in glee like what you did earlier.
“But won’t us being together affect our dynamic as LBF?” You asked. You saw Johnny roll his eyes, and you slapped a hand on your forehead, realizing that it was a stupid question to ask.
“Well, the dynamic has changed with the two of you being weird for the past weeks. But nothing stays the same, dear. If you two get together, I might feel out of place due to my lack of love life,” Kibum’s honesty made you blush, and you looked at Johnny to see his reaction. He retained a poker face, his right hand cradling his chin.
“But that doesn’t matter. As long as I see you two being your usual annoying selves, then I’m happy,” the blond continued. This made you smile, and the guy across you as well.
You were glad that your closest friends are the most supportive people you have ever met, despite the times they make fun of you as if it was your last day on earth. You stood up, enveloping Johnny in a bear hug, and he returned it with the same intensity.
“I love you, baby,” he said, squeezing your sides.
You laughed first before returning the words he wanted to hear. “I love you too, you dork.”
“Okay…why don’t we eat? The food I cooked for you is now becoming cold!” Kibum once again interfered with your moment, clapping his hands loudly before digging into the pasta in front of him.
You let go of your lover and return to your seat, happily stacking your plate with steak, cheese, and pasta. As all of you load up your plates, your chatter returned to normal: the music you’ve been listening to lately, any art exhibits you can check out now, and even accessories for Kibum’s fabulous dogs.
Your insides felt warm as you watched Kibum laugh in his iconic way, with Johnny biting his lip in the corner trying not to burst into tears. You didn’t mind if you looked ugly while laughing; it has been a while since the three of you had this much fun over dinner.
///
After your scrumptious meal, the three of you hung out. Johnny’s arms were looped around your waist as you stared into the starry sky at the balcony.
Kibum was taking a call inside, which both of you understood as a private moment for him.
“So, Kibum hyung had to convince you otherwise to take a chance on me, eh?” He asked, nuzzling his head on your shoulder.
You tried to shrug but couldn’t since he was so close to you. “Well, it’s not that he’s the reason why we’re like this right now, but…I had to confront my feelings once and for all,” you replied.
He hummed in response, burying his head deeper into your shoulder. You can smell his cologne in this position, and you couldn’t help but turn around and kiss the top of his head.
“You smell really nice,” you started, wrapping your arms around his neck. “And so do you,” he replied.
You know that the two of you can get touchy with each other, but this was a whole new level. You guys have reached lover territory, which you still haven’t fully grasped yet.
Your foreheads were now touching, and he led you to slow dance. Even if there was no music playing, the sound of the city served as the beat to your movements. Your bodies pressed closer to each other, and your hands clasped tighter.
It was a moment you would never forget, and you hoped that he would think the same way too.
When he stopped swaying, he kissed your forehead. You were a bit startled, and he didn’t notice it. Instead, he continued to kiss your face – your eyes, your nose, your cheeks, your chin, until he settled for your lips at last.
It was a chaste peck, and you felt all fuzzy when his lips left yours.
“You’re awfully being too sweet, dear,” you said softly, looking at him straight in the eye. “I always am, especially to you,” he replied, returning the same intense gaze you were giving him.
He was about to kiss you again when you heard knocking on the glass door. Both of you turned around and saw Kibum enter, looking apologetic.
“I’m so sorry to ruin your moment again guys, but I have to leave. There’s an emergency I have to tend to,” he said.
You nodded in response, and Johnny had to pull away from you so the two of you can send the older guy off to his agenda. The three of you exchanged your last pleasantries until you waved him off outside your door.
“Congratulations, you lovebirds! I’m happy for you, but please, don’t make out in front of me and our friends,” were Kibum’s last words before he sped off to his car.
The two of you weren’t able to react to his statement, and he left you two dumbfounded. You looked at each other and laughed at how specific Kibum was about not making out.
“But I will want to make out with you, even if you smell like cigarettes,” Johnny said, pulling you back into his embrace. You felt embarrassed with his revelation and covered your face with your hands.
“No, Youngho, please don’t. Let me have some mint first before you do,” you said, slowly uncovering your face and meeting his. You loved it when he looked at you amusedly as if you were a puzzle that he has yet to solve even if he had already played it a thousand times.
“It doesn’t matter if you take a mint or not, but I also want you…” This time, he leaned so close against your ear that you can hear his slow and loud breathing, “To call me daddy when we’re alone,” he finished, kissing the side of your ear.
You just did not hear him suggest that. You pushed him away and crossed your arms over your chest. “Oh, come on, Johnny! Not that! Anything, but that!” You protested, pouting at his suggestion.
He doubled over in laughter at your reaction, and he even slapped his thighs for effect. “Oh no, baby, I know you will call me that sooner or later,” he said in between fits, “But now, I’m fine with anything you call me.”
“No, I won’t call you that! It sounds as if I’m really calling my dad! And you, sir, are not my dad,” you emphasized, hands on your hips this time.
“I will be when you become the mother of my children,” Johnny said suggestively as he tackled you for another bear hug.
“Johnnyyyyyy!” You were flustered at the way your conversation was going and buried your head on his shoulder. “You’re making me feel so embarrassed right now!”
“But I do mean all the things I said, baby!” He replied in the same high pitch as you before he kissed your temple.
You stayed silent in his embrace, and he rocked you gently. The movement of your bodies relaxed you, and you closed your eyes in contentment.
This is how life is going to be now with him by my side, you thought. You opened an eye to look at him and saw that he had his eyes closed, but with a smile on his face.

Hecking heck, more leafy dude content?
OH MY GOD I FINALLY UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT OF ONE FANFIC I READ!
the downside is that I already know that idol makes people hallucinate and that the tangled crew will get affected by it.
Hey wait a sec- Hookfoot has his hook back!
Awww oh my gosh, that’s so cute and sweet and also sad-
What are they celebrating?
So who’s ready for her to hallucinate her family?
The idol was suspiciously easy for her to find, and I have no idea how nobody found it earlier-
Pascal must think she’s crazy right now lol
This statue is lowkey kinda useful though-
“The card was not made of cheese” “agree to disagree”
Haha, poor Max
I love the looks everyone gets when they’re holding the statue
Haha, poor Hookfoot
They’re gonna all start feeling the withdrawal soon-

Oh no, they’ve been hypnotized..!
He sicked Cassandra on them like an angry dog lol
PASCAL IS A FIGHTING MACHINE HELL YE
Woah
Aw, how sweet...
I really loved this episode for a variety of reasons. It had a really great message, good storytelling, personal appeal, and some really funny moments! Two super awesome episodes in a row? Nice job, Disney. There is either not enough or too much for me to say for this episode, so I’ll just leave it at that.
Peril on the High Seas
okay, so this little island arc is over.
I- WHAT? The opener??? Is this gonna be a bunch of mini shorts??
Ohhh the ferry!

Her dress;;;
I really love Rapunzel~
He just “oof”ed!
IT’S THE DAMN MONKEY AGAIN
Kinda okay with that tho-
This woman;;;;
Just pay for the damn thing-
heh, grappling hook...
Thassa deep puddle-
Hey so funky coincidence: This episode, to me, is a lot like when people google symptoms and it’s like “you have cancer” and they are then paranoid about it being true. I was trying to describe this to google because I know there’s a word for it, but I couldn’t remember, and, apparently, chronic inability to find the right words is linked to Alzheimer's, so now I have this phenomenon and I STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT THE WORD FOR IT IS.
Okay, back on track.
This seems a tad extra, Hookfoot-
Oh my gosh, what are those doofuses doing in the caravan-
IS THAT FOR-REAL MAGIC OR JUST SCIENCE??
you don't need to return it! just pay for it!
how DARE they not show me the kitties

A MOOSE TOOTH DOES NOT MAKE YOU IMMORTAL, PRINCESS!!!
that’s disgusting.
real sweet, guys, but YOU ARE ON A SWAYING ROCK BRIDGE
OH, THAT’S BRILLIANT RAPUNZEL!
fajksdlkjhlk THE MONKEY JUMP SCARED ME
This episode was really good! I mean, I liked the previous three a little more, but I will not count it as a break in the awesomeness streak! I’m glad they’re back on their quest, and this episode was generally pretty funny.

It took half an hour of thinking through his thoughts before Tom got up the courage to bring up Alexianna's number in his phone and press the call button. At first, he thought she had seen who was calling and decided to not answer, but after a moment more, the line picked up. 'Hello?'
'Lexi, hi.'
'Hi, Tom.' Her tone told him she wasn't overly pleased it was him.
'I owe you an apology for my leaving so suddenly the other day.'
'Is your mum alright?' Her voice was clipped and to the point.
'Yeah, it wasn't an emergency at all, not really, she was renewing her vows for her China anniversary, or is it platinum, they changed it in recent years.'
'Okay, that is so cute.' Alexianna's tone became softer immediately. 'Aw, she and Paul were always so sweet together.'
'Yes, and apparently my procrastinating at getting to Suffolk meant she and Paul thought I would not come back in time for it, so they made Emma lie to me.'
'That's sort of mean.'
'I'm glad someone sees it the same as I did.' He smiled for a moment before his smile fell. 'I also owe you an apology for how I acted the other evening when I met...'
'I didn't hide her on purpose.' Tom let Alexianna speak. 'I know it is daunting, and I know some people do not want to have partners with kids from previous relationships, and I respect that, not everyone wants kids. I understand, but I never intended for us to go there at all, much less that fast, so I never got to tell you properly.'
'You never wanted us to...'
'I did not think you were interested.'
'I was, I am.'
'But when you saw Lily...'
'I was not prepared for her, that's all.' Tom inhaled deeply. 'I handled it wrong, and as a result, I acted terribly. I made myself out to be a prick of the highest order.'
'Not the highest order, trust me, you are a far cry from that.' Alexianna assured him.
'Can I ask...?'
'Yes, she is Jonathon's.' Tom assumed that to be her ex-husband since she never said his name before. 'He left when she was born, the day she was born.'
His eyes widened. 'How...?'
'During the pregnancy, he insisted on finding out the gender, I didn't want to, I wanted a surprise. They told us we were having a boy, and everything was fine, we got ready for a boy.' Tom frowned. 'When she was born...in the delivery room when they said they had got it wrong, it happens about five to ten per cent of the time, well he just left.'
'He left the delivery room?'
'I was in theatre, there were complications, so it was a section birth, and he walked out. When I rang him a few hours later to ask him to bring in the rest of the baby clothes we had bagged for the hospital, he never answered the phone. I got a call at two in the morning, he said not to bother him again. I had clearly been cheating on him.'
'How did he deduce that?'
There was a silence for a moment before she answered him. 'Real men don't have girls, apparently.' Tom's mouth fell open at her words. 'He called me every name I have ever heard and more besides for a whore and that was the last time I ever heard from him. It's been me and Lily since. Daniel picks up a lot of the slack, he came back from abroad to help for a while and everything. Marie was of no help.'
'I am so sorry.' Tom only then realised he was on the verge of tears. He thought of the little blue-eyed girl, cuddling into her mother, clearly elated to see her home from her day's work and study. He could not fathom a situation where a father would abandon their child based on its gender.
'You didn't do it, he did. She doesn't know about him, she never asks and I never tell. How do I tell her that?'
'And how do you lie and say anything else because then she will start wondering why he is not there and if she tries to find him and he rejects her...' Tom added.
'Exactly.' Alexianna seemed relieved he understood. 'I did plan to tell you, I swear, but it's not like it's the first thing you say to people.'
'Hi, I am Alexianna Hughes, I am a mother, thirty-one and an Aquarius.' Tom put his voice up a few pitches to attempt a female tone causing Alexianna to laugh.
'Yeah, something like that.' Her smile was blatant over the phone. 'Thank you, Tom.'
'What for?'
'Your terrible habit of making me smile.'
'I endeavour to do so frequently.' Tom grinned. 'When I get back, could I perhaps convince you to finally have a full cup of tea with me?'
'Always with the tea.'
'I am trying to get a full cup of tea before I work my way up to dinner.' he felt someone looking at him, turning around, he saw Sarah standing behind him, slightly startled to hear him on the phone. 'Lexi, I am sorry to cut this short, but I am being called back inside. I will ring you when I get back to London if that's okay with you of course.'
'I will talk to you then, tell your mum and Paul I say congratulations.'
'I will. Bye.' he hung up the phone and looked at his sister. 'Yes?'
'What are you doing?' Sarah demanded. 'If you are stringing her along...'
'You were right.' Sarah paused and looked at him in shock. 'You were completely right. I was being ridiculous and yes, at thirty-one years old, of course, Lexi was going to have a past. And me getting judgemental about it was wrong. Mom had three of us. Lexi only has Lily.'
'That's a really nice name,' Sarah smiled. She looked at her brother. 'What?' Tom shook his head but did not speak, his hands shaking, Sarah well able to recognise the sheer anger in her brother’s expression. ‘Tom, whatever it is, tell me, it will stay between us.’
'If you tell mum or Emma I will never speak to you again.'
‘I swear, on Sophie.'
'Lexi's husband was a prick. He was abusive and manipulative and when Lily was born and he realised she was a girl, he left and never came back.'
Sarah's hand went to her mouth. 'Did you know?'
'When I met Lily, no, she only told me that last bit of information on the phone a minute ago.' Tom revealed. 'I know I should not be talking about it but I have to tell someone.'
'Tom?'
'Who...who abandons a child because it's a girl?' he asked, his frustration finally bubbling to the surface as he paced his mother's garden. 'She is so small, she's a tiny wisp of a thing, as dad would say...and he left them. He left them in the operating theatre and never came back.' again the tears came to his eyes.
'Some people are like that Tom, I don't know what else to say.' Sarah stated, her own voice tight from her emotions on learning such information. 'We can't help the actions of others.' She touched his arm in a comforting manner. 'How did the conversation regarding the situation with Lexi go?'
'She said she understood if I did not want to have kids around, that she knew it wasn't for everyone and that she wouldn't blame me if I did not want any more to do with her.' Tom explained. 'She said she had planned on introducing her properly, that she had not intended to dump the news on me like that.'
'That is very understanding of her. And you are okay with it now?'
'It's not ideal, but I really like Lexi and you were right, she has a past and Lily is here, so I have to accept that or move on, I think I want to try and accept it.'
Sarah nodded sagely. 'Before you go any further Tom, I have to tell you this, because you need to make a properly informed decision.' Tom gave her a concerned look. 'Lily is going to be Lexi's number one priority, no matter what.'
'I know.'
'Your premieres, your jobs, your wants will always come second to her, no matter what.'
'If she was willing to drop her, I would be worried.'
Sarah smiled and nodded. 'Good, as long as you know that.'
'Why do you think like this, you and Yakov...are you alright?'
'Our marriage is fine, it has its ups and downs, they all do, but we are not planning on separating any time soon.' Sarah insisted. 'I have thought about that scenario though, after Sophie was born, I did worry that someday, I could be like mom and yes, I thought about how I would not be able to get someone if they saw I had a daughter.'
Tom was somewhat shocked that Sarah had told him such. 'I never thought...'
'No, we don't, do we? Not when it is nothing to do with us normally.' she sighed before looking back to the door. 'So you actually met her daughter, that's when you first knew about her.'
'The first mention of Lily was when she rushed out of a bedroom and jumped into Alexianna's arms shouting 'Mummy'.'
'That's a bit of a land.'
'It was, yes.' Tom nodded. 'But it explains a lot, her CV gap, her not getting back to college after the accident.'
'Accident?'
'She had a car accident when she was in college, she got banged up and then her husband came along.'
'Then came her daughter and her husband left.’ Tom nodded. ‘Does she talk to her mother still?'
'Her mother blamed her for her marriage failing.'
Sarah scoffed. 'Well, that's fucking rich.'
'I know.'
'At least you don't have to worry about the father getting involved, I bet that makes things more complicated.'
'How do I treat her?' Sarah shook her head slightly, showing him she was unsure what he meant. 'Lily?'
'Like a four-year-old child obviously. You remember Sophie at that age. Just make sure you don't spoil her to make her like you, that will only make Lexi's life harder.'
'The dog bag.'
'The Paw Patrol, what about it?'
'Everything in the house belonging to her is of that.'
'They focus on something. Sophie was Doc McStuffins.'
'Their home is shit.'
'What do you mean?'
'They live in a bedsit.'
'London is expensive, Tom.'
'But they are probably paying a Holy fortune for that bedsit where some other places they wouldn't have to share a bed.'
'Where is it?'
'Just inside Hampstead Heath.'
'She is playing the location game.' Tom frowned. 'You have to live in certain townland lines to qualify to send your kid to a certain school, Lexi is playing that game, Hampstead has better schools, better funded, fewer delinquency issues, she knew that and got what she could afford in that area to ensure Lily got into a good school, she is very smart.' Sarah explained. 'We did something similar, it's why we sold one house and bought one ten minutes away, it's in a better schooling zone.'
'Makes sense. She just never seems to catch a break.'
'She is not letting what happened to bother her Tom, she has accepted it and rolled with it to the extent that she is able to get up and get to college and raise her daughter right. Don't let it bother you.'
'But they share a bed, their home is tiny.'
'You do realise, a hundred years ago whole families shared beds, right? Not everyone's family could afford private schools and everyone having their own bedrooms.'
'Alexianna was privately educated.' Tom pointed out.
'Yes, she is used to more, I am sure at the beginning it was a slap in the face to her, but she is still kicking.' Sarah smiled. 'Come on, dinner's ready.'

The First Most Handsome Prince
LONG POST!
What? Me, trying my hand at writing Sanders Sides fics, and ending up writing fluffy Royality? It’s more likely than you think. I may not be romantic, but this ship takes my uwus... and there’s one other romantic thing I’m a sucker for, too. Read to find out 🤔 And if this flops, I won’t be surprised honestly. I am aromantic for a reason.
I’m considering doing a similar Analogical fic too, lemme know if you think I should do it.
Pairings: Romantic Royality
Warnings: One fleeting mention of Deceit, but other than that there shouldn’t be any? Lemme know if you see smth.
———————————————————————
Roman let out a deep, relieved sigh as finally, finally, Thomas posted the long-awaited new Sanders Sides video.
That had been all Thomas had been focusing on for the last few weeks, as was normal when it came to the production of Sanders Sides videos. They had put most of their time and energy into it- making sure they had all the film they needed, and editing all of it together into one video. Roman was pleased with it- and he hoped the Fanders would be too.
He was sitting on the couch, watching Thomas scroll through all the reactions on Twitter when he felt someone wrap their arms around his chest and peck a kiss against his cheek. Roman smiled and looked up to see Patton smiling down on him.
“Everything going well?”
“Couldn’t be better,” Roman assured him. “The Fanders loved it, as expected.”
“I think this was our best one yet,” Patton commented, coming around the couch and sitting next to Roman.
“We say that after every video,” Roman laughed.
“Because it’s true!” Pat insisted, also giggling. “And now that we don’t have the video to worry about anymore, we get to focus on the surprise you have planned for tonight.”
Patton’s eyes were teasing as he smiled at Roman. Roman just shook his head.
“I’m still not telling you anything about it,” Roman said, turning away so he wasn’t allured by his boyfriend’s puppy dog eyes (that Roman would never admit Patton was really good at). “How else could it be a surprise?”
Roman and Patton had been a thing for a little more than a year now. When they told everyone else, it had only surprised Thomas; Logan had merely sighed and passed a dollar to Virgil while Virgil smirked at him.
Virgil and Logan had been in a relationship longer, by only about 5 months, but it had felt like much longer by pretty much everyone. They were both very happy though, and could be seen together a good portion of the time.
Roman and Patton were much the same, except were more extravagant in their gestures of love (much to Logan and Virgil’s shagrin). Date nights usually started mid afternoon for the two and lasted well into, or even through, the night. They took turns planning dates, and often played towards the other’s likes and mood at the time.
Tonight was Roman and Patton’s first date night in almost a month, due to video production taking first priority. They’d made sure to take time for their relationship, but they were both excited to get an actual date in (their first one since their one year anniversary).
Roman had insisted on taking date-planning responsibility and had went to extreme lengths to keep the whole night a secret from his curious boyfriend. That being said, Patton was bursting at the seams from the excitement over seeing what his boyfriend had planned.
And Roman had big, BIG plans.
Patton leaned over and the two of them shared a short yet sweet kiss before Roman stood up.
“I must make final preparations before tonight, my love!” he declared when Patton protested at him getting up. Roman took the other side’s hand in his own and kissed it while Pat blushed. “I will send for you when I am ready.”
“Sounds good, my prince,” Patton called back with a giggle as Roman walked off.
Roman headed for the stairs. There had been a very small white lie in his last statement- he had only one preparation to do before the big night. And this one had to be perfect.
————————————————
As date night finally approached, Patton finally got some info about the forthcoming evening- it was to be a casual-dress night. Patton still put some effort into looking nice, wearing his normal baby blue shirt but with his old cardigan hanging loosely over that, making sure his logo was still visible.
He tugged on his typical khaki pants and pulled on a pair of blue sneakers that matched his shirt to top off the outfit.
Pat knew Roman had put a lot of thought into his preparations. He was thoroughly excited to see just what Roman had pulled off.
At precisely 4:00pm, Roman knocked lightly on Patton’s door. He was still very princely-looking, having thoughtfully chosen a red t-shirt with a golden crown printed on the front, and a white bomber jacket with elaborate, golden embroidery on the shoulders. He also wore dark skinny jeans and red sneakers that otherwise perfectly matched Pat’s.
Oh, and naturally his red sash was in its usual placement as well, as Roman liked to keep up a little of his normal appearance no matter what.
Patton opened the door and gasped at Roman’s still-stately appearance. “Ro!” He squealed. “You look so handsome!”
Roman’s cheeks flushed a pale pink at the compliment. “Hardly in comparison to you, Pat,” he teased back.
The two connected in a quick, passionate kiss before Roman held out his arm, and Patton quickly slid his hand through the crook.
Roman lead them down the hallway to the door to the Imagination. He took a deep breath. “Are you ready for a wonderful night?”
“I haven’t been more ready ever in my life.”
Roman grinned widely and opened the door.
Patton peered inside, and gaped at the view.
It was a quaint little restaurant, empty and quiet as the evening sun shone onto the lake outside and through the windows, only barely starting to set. There were a couple dozen tables littered around the room, one in particular covered in a white tablecloth with a candelabra adorning the center. The overhead lights had been dimmed, and the careful blaze of the candles made shadows dance in the distance. It reminded Patton of the spagetti scene in Lady and the Tramp (which surprised him very little).
Roman took them into the room, closing the door behind them. He went ahead and pulled Patton’s chair out for him, allowing him to sit down.
“Roman, it’s beautiful,” Patton breathed as he continued to take in their surroundings.
“I’m so glad you like it,” Roman grinned, taking his own seat. “It took me forever to decide how to design it. I wanted everything to be perfect.”
“It’s more than perfect,” Patton laughed. “It’s magical!”
“That is only the highest compliment I could’ve asked for,” Roman replied with a huge smile.
Roman quickly summoned their dinner of spaghetti and meatballs (which also did not surprise Patton), steaming hot and fresh.
They ate and chatted about everything they could think of, from puppies, to Talyn’s new hairstyle, to Roman’s next video plan. Their chatter lasted a couple hours, so by the time Roman took care of their dishes with a wave of his hand, it was already 7pm, and the sun was much lower in the sky.
“What’s next?” Patron questioned, leaning his head on his hand as he waited excitedly for the response.
“Well, we have another destination to get to, but it’s rather difficult to get to,” Roman responded, standing up and offering his arm again. “However, I have the transportation situation all taken care of.”
“Oh?” Patton pressed, taking Roman’s arm, eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Roman smirked. “Follow me.”
A short walk to the beach was all it took to confuse Patton about what their final destination was. They stood waiting for-something- for several minutes, Roman getting more and more nervous as each second passed.
Then, something appeared on the horizon. Patton has to squint to see the tiny dot that was slowly getting bigger.
Roman sighed with relief. “There she is.”
Patton tilted his head in confusion. “She?”
He received only a wink from Roman, and he said nothing else.
Patton thought his eyes must be messing with him as the dot got closer. Either he wasn’t feeling well or there was a vaguely dragon shaped figure heading towards them. Considering that he felt fine, Patton came under the assumption that it was more likely the latter.
He gaped at Roman, who merely smirked and remained silent.
Surely enough, only minutes later, a full-sized, very REAL dragon landed on the ground next to them. She was at least 15 feet tall, including her neck, and her metallic scales shone a brilliant magenta against the setting sun. Her neck was long and thick, thicker than the trunk of a tree, and each of her stout legs could easily crush a small creature if she wasn’t careful.
Roman bowed deeply.
“Thank you again for this, Casanova,” Roman called as he approached the giant beast. The dragon merely huffed, smoke coming out of her nostrils.
Patton slowly followed his boyfriend, in awe of the creature standing before him. “A dragon?”
“She owes me a favor,” Roman shrugged. “I saved her life from a gang of thieves in the mountains a couple years ago, and dragons do not forget their promises.”
Then, much to Patton’s shock, Roman climbed into the dragon’s back. He then held out his hand to Patton.
Patton hesitantly took it. “You sure this is safe?” he squeaked.
“Love, you’re starting to sound like Logan,” Roman laughed. “But yes, I assure you, she will not let us fall.”
Trusting his partner, Patton quickly clambered onto the dragon’s back, wrapping his arms around Roman’s torso. Moments later, Casanova unfolded her massive wings, and started to flap.
Patton shrieked with terror and excitement as they lifted into the sky. He hugged closer to Roman as they went higher and higher, up into the clouds.
Roman laughed merrily as Patton squeezed tighter against him. “You alright back there, love?” he called against the roar of the wind. Patton merely nodded against his shoulder, too terrified and in awe as they glided through the sky.
The view was strikingly beautiful; it felt like they could see for miles. Casanova wove her way gracefully through the sky, taking extra care not to jostle her passengers. They headed into the horizon, and she dipped carefully down and maintained an altitude just feet above the water.
Patton leaned carefully into the mist created as the wind disturbed the water enough to cause a small wake to trail behind them.
A small island quickly appeared in the distance, and within minutes they were landing on the shore furthest from the mainland. There was a small dock just a few feet away, leading into the water, and a small grouping of trees to the back- not large enough that one would get lost in it. The trees had orange and red carefully spattered across their leaves, a sign that autumn was nigh but not quite there yet.
The air was cool and a slight breeze highlighted the crisp in each breath each side took as they slid carefully off of Casanova’s back, Roman going first and carefully helping Patton off afterwards. While relieved to have his feet back on the ground Patton couldn’t deny that he was a little sad the thrill ride was over.
Roman bowed to Casanova again. She gave a curt nod back and then took back off into the sky.
Patton watched her leave, then turned to his boyfriend. “Roman, that was incredible.”
Roman slid his arm around Patton’s waist. “I’m so happy you liked it! It took a little convincing to get her to agree but she doesn’t go back on her word.” Roman then chuckled as they moved over onto the dock. “She’ll be happy to go back to merely tolerating me.”
Patton laughed at that as well. “Awwww, well, this whole night has been amazing. Thank you so much, Ro.”
“Well it isn’t over yet,” Roman insisted with a twinkle in his eye. “We still have a sunset to watch.”
“Really?” Patton murmured softly, turning to the sky, his own arm going around Roman’s waist. The sun was nearly fully down now, casting a pink and orange hue onto the clouds and sky. It looked like a painting or a postcard. The other side of the mainland was just in view, more trees poking into the sky. Patton also caught a glimpse of what looked like a castle in the distance.
They stood for many minutes, too many to count.
Roman softly cleared his throat, a few butterflies fluttering into his chest.
“Do you remember...” he started softly.
“The 21st night of September?” Patton added helpfully.
Roman laughed and planted a kiss to the top of Patton’s head. “Not quite what I was going for.”
“I had a feeling,” Patton giggled in response.
Roman sighed and looked back onto the sunset. “No, I was thinking about... a while back. You remember when Deceit put us through that courtroom scenario over the wedding vs the callback?”
“Mmm. That was quite a day.”
“It was. I’m not alluring to the reasoning behind that scenario, merely one moment. One specific moment, when you were cross-examining me while I was on the witness stand.”
Roman turned to Patton, who reciprocated the action, looking at his boyfriend with curious eyes.
“You had me imagine a scenario where I had the opportunity to marry the second most handsome prince in the world,” Roman recalled, a smile drifting onto his face. “I still think about that scenario a lot, but a few things have changed as time has gone on.”
“Oh?”
“Well, two things have remained the same,” Roman commented thoughtfully. “I’m still marrying a handsome prince, and I still long for it to come true as much as I did back then.”
“Then what’s changed?” Patton inquired softly, slightly confused but curiosity still overtaking any other emotion.
Roman took Patton’s hands in his. “Well, now I like to imagine I’m marrying not the second, but the first most handsome prince.”
Roman got down on one knee, and Patton’s hand flew over his mouth.
“And it also seems a lot more realistic nowadays, too,” Roman added with a loving smile. Patton’s eyes filled with tears.
“I know we’re merely figments of Thomas’s imagination, so there’s no way we could ever make it official in any legal sense.” Roman stuck his free hand into his pocket and pulled out a small box. “But it would be real and official to us, and that’s all that matters to me.”
He opened the box to reveal a ring, the band golden, shiny, and embedded with several small baby blue-colored diamonds of varying sizes . “Patton, my love, and the first most handsome prince in the world, will you marry me?”
“Yes! Yes, absolutely, Ro!”
Roman couldn’t hold back his grin as he slid the ring onto Patton’s finger, then stood up. Patton threw his arms around Roman’s neck, and they kissed, deep and sweet.
When they pulled apart, Roman summoned a bench, padded with soft cushions, for them to sit on and watch the sun sink into the horizon, chatting quietly and celebrating the declaration of love and promise of forever they had just made.
Later Roman would pull them back into the mindpalace through a door on the island, and they would then celebrate the exciting news with the rest of their famILY.
~THE END~
I hope you all enjoyed!!!

Happy Birthday Sugarplum
A very late commission for @beenerdish . Grant wants to celebrate your birthday but you’re fine with just a simple day at home.
“What do you want for your birthday, Sugarplum?” Grant asked as he wrapped his arms around your waist.
“That’s the fifth time you have asked me today,” you replied. “I told you, I don’t want much.”
Grant was persistent. He wanted his wife to have a fantastic birthday. She worked so hard, she deserved something nice. Grant was always looking for an excuse to spoil her. It was one of his most favorite things to do. He squeezed her, nuzzling against her neck.
“And I told you that I want to get you something,” Grant turned her around. “Like maybe some new earrings?”
“That would be fine,” she replied.
Grant frowned.
“Do you want a new pair of earrings?” Grant asked. “Didn’t you see a pair you liked when we were walking down Main Street?”
“Oh, yes there was a nice pair,” Y/N remembered. “Those would make a lovely gift.”
“Anything else?”
“No. We can have dinner at home, just the two of us,” Y/N wrapped her arms around Grant’s neck. “Just me and my handsome hubby. That’s really all I need.”
Y/N was the sweetest thing on the face of the Earth. Or at least Grant thought so. He adored his wife. When Starla had left him at the altar, he thought he would never fall in love again. Everyone told him that wasn’t true but Grant had a hard time believing he’d find someone. Then, he had met Y/N. It was during a fundraiser event for the fire department. Grant had been bored out of his mind and was ready to leave. He was on the verge of exiting the party when a woman in a sparkling, lavender grown bumped into him. She spilled champagne on him and began to apologize profusely. Grant had said it was no big deal, but Y/N insisted she make it up to him.
So she took him out to dinner.
Grant hadn’t thought of starting a relationship with Y/N at first. Their first date wasn’t even technically a date. Once they had finished dinner, Grant asked Y/N if she was interested in accompanying him to the opening of the Main Street Art Gallery. Y/N said yes.
One thing led to another and before they knew it, they were married. Grant couldn’t be happier.
“Come on, baby,” Grant kissed her forehead. “Please let me spoil you? It’s your birthday after all. Just a little bit?”
Grant was using his big, baby blues. It was a surefire way to your heart.
“Well, okay. But just a bit.” You replied.
It was obvious that you and Grant had different definitions of what ‘a bit’ meant.
You thought Grant would just make a fantastic dinner, get you a few gifts and then that would be it. A horse-drawn carriage? When you said you want something simple, that wasn’t what you meant. You couldn’t be too mad, of course. The horse was adorable and she ate sugar cubes right out of your hands.
“Where did you get her?” you asked Grant, as you petted the horse.
“From Wally. His parents own a farm,” Grant said. “Her name is Buttercup. Come on, sugar.”
Of course, you followed him. While it was over the top, you felt extremely flattered. One of the reasons you loved Grant was because he made you feel like a princess. Never had a man taken such wonderful care of you, nor had a man treated you like you were a goddess. Grant refused to be friends with men who disliked the fact that he loved his wife or even complained about their wives. Grant was resolute in his thinking: every single woman was a queen and deserved to be treated as such. Honestly, how did you get so lucky?
The carriage headed down Main Street. People waved to you and a few took pictures. You felt yourself blushing, but Grant just beamed. When you reached the restaurant, Grant helped you out of the carriage and then opened the door for you. It was a lovely French restaurant. Once you stepped inside, you inhaled. It smelled wonderful!
“I am rather hungry,” you admitted. “I’ve never been here. What do you recommend?”
“I’d recommend the croque monsieur, darling,” Grant said, as you went to your table. “Get whatever you want, baby.”
You were really hungry so you decided to ignore the prices. Some nice wine, two delicious croque monsieurs, and some macarons to take home made for a lovely dinner. Once you were done, the two of you went back to the carriage. It wasn’t too cold so, thankfully, Buttercup and the driver were still in good spirits. Grant helped you back into the carriage, his smile never leaving his face. All this attention was a bit much, but you were enjoying it.
“Enjoying yourself so far, baby?” Grant asked as he wrapped an arm around you.
“Yes, dinner was delicious,” you said. “So what is next?”
“It’s a surprise, sugarplum.”
The surprise was Cirque du Soleil. This was the first time they had come to Wheesly. This was something you had been excited about, and you remembered you had mentioned the show to Grant. This wasn’t really Grant’s scene but you knew he’d go to any show with you. Once you arrived, you took everything in. This was extremely exciting for you. Once you were out of the carriage, you gave Grant a big hug.
“Oh baby, you remembered!” you said, kissing his cheek.
“Yep,” Grant grinned. “I even got us the VIP treatment.”
“Really? Oh this is going to be so much fun!”
And it was. Before the show, you got drinks, little snacks, and a goody bag. Your seats were perfect as well. During the show, you held Grant’s hand as you watched the fantastic acrobats do flips, completely engaged. Your eyes were wide and there was a huge smile on your face. Grant had a smile too. While he was enjoying the show, he would sneak glances at you. You were the most beautiful woman in the world. He still couldn’t believe how lucky he was. A loser like him was married to the most perfect women in the universe.
When the show ended, you were still on a high. The entire ride home, you just couldn’t stop babbling about the show. Grant listened, but said nothing. When you reached home, he opened the door for you and then led you to the kitchen. You were shocked to find the table was covered with gifts.
“Grant, how many gifts did you buy me?” You asked.
“Just a few, sugarplum.”
This certainly didn’t look like a few but you couldn’t argue with him now. All you could do was sit down and start opening up your gifts. New dresses, two pair of Louboutin heels, a Gucci purse and even a brand new iPhone; Grant was certainly spoiling you. After opening another box (which contained a bottle of rosé) Grant had gone into the living room. He came backwith a rather large box. He placed it on the table, and you took the top off and gasped in surprise.
“A PUPPY!”
Sitting in the box was the most adorable pug puppy you have ever seen. Around its neck was a huge bow and it wagged its tail, looking up at you with its big, brown eyes. Carefully you picked it up and it licked your face.
“She’s cute, isn’t she?” Grant asked with a smile.
“Oh Grant, she’s utterly adorable!” You held the dog up. “I love her! Where did you get her?”
“You know the Harrisons? Their dog had puppies recently so I bought one,” Grant answered. “Now we just have to think of what to name her.”
“I know!” You said. “I want to name her Sugarplum.”
“Aw, that’s cute,” Grant smiled at you. “So, now what would you like to do, babygirl?”
“Oh, that’s easy,” You walked over to him. “I would like to sit on the couch and watch a movie with my hubby and new puppy.”
“Your wish is my command.”
Changing out of your dress and heels felt amazing. Dressing up was always fun, but there was nothing better than wearing sweat pants along with a nice, big sweater. Sugarplum had found one of your slippers and had decided that it was dangerous so she went to fight it. How could you be angry at your sweet, darling puppy? Smiling, you picked up the pug, the slipper still in her mouth. You laughed as you took the slipper out of Sugarplum’s mouth.
“You are so cute!” You cooed. “I could eat you up!”
You headed back downstairs. Grant wore no shirt and only had some pajama pants on. You were not going to complain. Grant was built like a god. So many people didn’t realize how hot your husband was. He had been the starring quarterback during high school and after being with the Marines for a while, Grant had been left with muscles to spare. You were somewhat happy that women didn’t realize how sexy he was. That meant you didn’t have to fight for him.
Grant had popped some popcorn and the blankets were already on the couch. When you got there, Grant came in with the popcorn and sat down next to you.
“This birthday has been perfect,” you said, leaning against Grant. “Not just because of all the fun things we did, but because I got to spend it with you.”
“Well, I’m glad I was able to make your birthday more enjoyable, darling,” Grant said.
You started the movie, happy and content to finish off your birthday simply.

27. Part 5
Lifting my head up from the pillow and then face planting back into the pillow “C!” his little voice becoming little clearer than before, his tiny hand knocking on my bedroom door “Bryce, I think he is asleep. Come on baby, he will see you before you go” hearing my mom say outside the door “who’s a bad parent now?” I groaned out hearing Sofia, I am tired “whatever” turning onto my back, Sofia is already out of bed “I didn’t want you to wake up” she openly admitted “why?” I asked groggily “because I wanted to just get ready before you woke up, my pussy is so sore Cassius, like it’s painful. I mean not that painful but it’s sore” I had to laugh “mhmmm, you was giving out on me lastnight, you was here falling on me. I had to drag your ass back to me” Sofia walked around the bed, Sofia is walking funny “you ruined my neck you asshole, look at this. How can I walk around your parents home like this? I have no make-up? You really just attacked my neck like a dog” Sofia walked closer to the bed, showing me her neck “call it art, who cares. Where are you going now?” she looks like she is going somewhere “to have a bath or shower, in peace” grabbing Sofia’ arm “I am awake now, I need my dick sucked” Sofia tried to move back “go away! Leave me alone, I am too sore for you” I had to laugh “I look awful, just look at my neck. Cassius, you mad wrong for it. Like you near pulled blood from my neck” letting her arm go “I am coming with you, we can have sex there. It’s fine” pulling the covers back “no! You stay here, bye!” Sofia dragged open the bedroom door running out.
Pulling my sweatpants up just laughing, she acting like I can’t just pick the lock and go in. Stretching my body out, I want sex again. I mean last night was a lot but I want more, fixing my dick in my sweatpants. Draggin open my bedroom door, walking across the hall and to the bathroom, knocking on the door “go away Cassius! I am on the toilet” Sofia shouted, I chuckled “open the damn door, who cares. Unless it stank?” I questioned “seriously, shut up. I am not playing with you right now” Sofia trying to be all serious with me, I knocked on the door again. Hearing the toilet flush “you acting like I can’t just pick the lock and come in? We can do it the nice way, you open the door and let me in. Why you playing me? Just because you got hickeys? Is that it?” I mean is that all “no, I just want to relax in the bath. My pussy needs some relaxing too” she really not opening the door, hearing the door unlock “I hate you” she said as I opened the door “you love me though” walking inside the bathroom, closing the door behind me “I love you though bub” standing behind Sofia, wrapping my arms tightly around her waist I pressed my front to her back, trailing kisses up the side of her neck “this what I didn’t want, Cassius” Sofia tilting her head back slightly “just let it happen Sofia, I’ll be nice. I know you sore” Sofia tried to push at my hands “go away” Sofia objected stopping my hands and trying to butt me away.
“Seriously go away, this is your parents home” Sofia cried out grabbing the back of my neck as I sucked down on hers, not sure if she wanted to pull me in or push me away “I’ll be good” I smiled lifting the tee up “you’re a feign” Sofia whined leaning forward, holding onto the sink for support, turning Sofia to face me. She moaned wrapping her arms around my neck and spreading her legs open just enough so that I could run a finger across her clit “is Sofia pum pum sore?” I laughed, Sofia pouted at me “shut up” Sofia gasped as I used my free hand to lift her up and place her on the edge of the cold sink “make me” I said before she claimed my lips, thrusting her tongue in my mouth. Her hands traveled down to the front of my sweatpants and pulled my meber out. I jerked forward when she reached out and grabbed my member. Spreading her legs a little wider she guided me to her center, biting down on my bottom lip to hold in her cries as the head of my dick teased her opening before sliding home. I fell forward and held on to the edge of the sink. Her tights walls clenched me firmly as I thrust into her at a rapid speed.
“Fuck me!” Sofia hissed, her legs wrapping around my waist. She held on to my shoulders as I pushed my dick in deeper and deeper, each thrust harder than the last. I moaned still stroking her long and hard. Removing her legs from around my waist I threw them over my shoulders, Sofia held onto the sink as I drove into her wild and crazy. Pushing my dick in deep, as far as her body could take it. her screams filled the room but I quickly put my hand over her mouth, muffling her sounds. Her eyes rolling around in her head. Her head fell back and laid against the mirror as I pounded into her. Moving my hand back I smiled kissing her, my tongue slipping between her lips wrestling against hers. My movements were slow and steady as I spread her legs out wider and pushed them back further. Sofia broke the kiss and tossed her head to the side moaning out “be quiet” I know someone is upstairs but she yelled before leaning forward and biting down on my shoulder “damn” her nails marking up my back as she pressed them deeply into my skin.
I still pumped in and out of her slowly allowing her to ride her orgasm down “why is your dick so good?” Sofia said in my ear, I am not sure if that is a question or she is just saying that. My dick did a few short spasm in anticipation for my orgasm which came soon after and hit me hard, her pussy was still pulsing around my dick as the two of us just stared at each other. Sofia resting her head on my shoulder, breathing hard as my fingers moved around mindlessly on her back “I said leave me alone” Sofia said but we both just laughed together “I can’t though, I am sorry. I will leave your soreness alone now” I pressed a kiss to her lips “god, you’re my dream man” she kissed my cheek “and you’re my dream pussy” Sofia hit my shoulder “don’t be rude” I grinned at her “I am joking, one day” I smiled at her “what is that supposed to mean?” pulling out of Sofia, picking her up off of the sink “oh god, wait” she held my arm, laughing at her wobbling “this is your fault” she really wobbling “what did you mean by that?” lifting my sweatpants up “I am going back to sleep, have a nice bath” opening the bathroom door a little slipping out of the door “lock the door” I said closing it, I do mean it when I say one day.
With my eyes still half closed, seeing Sofia doing the most with throwing clothes on the bed “seriously? Can you not see I am asleep? And that is my stuff?” what is she doing “I know, I just want to see what I can wear. Anyways I have no makeup Cassius, what am I going to do? I can’t go like this? What do I do?” I shrugged “we are going today, I mean back to Atlanta, we will get our things first before going. Just play it out, we had sex so what” the hell they going to say “but that is wrong, I mean this is your parents house” rolling my eyes as I got out of bed “Jasmine has makeup have hers” women, why is she being like this. Hearing Sofia stomp her foot, she really did that and whined out “it’s mine I want!” getting up from the bed “are you being real? You don’t need it, nobody has makeup here bruh, relax” Sofia poked her lips out, she looks like a brat like this “I am going to cry now” Sofia said in a whisper “good, nobody got what you want. You either use Jasmine or forget it, I will go and ask her yeah? Is that better?” Sofia nodded her head, she is not happy still “jeez, you women” pulling the top over my head, now I have to deal with Jasmine.
Knocking on Jasmine’ bedroom door, I need a shower my damn self “Jasmine, open the door or can I come in?” I know she is in there “one minute, my brother is here” see I knew she was, the door opened “what do you want now?” pushing the door open “we don’t do closed doors in this home” walking into her bedroom “I will call you back, my brother is being annoying” picking up the framed picture from the side “who is these? You dating any of these niggas?” Jasmine snatched the photo from me “friends Cassius, what do you want? Talking about closed doors” placing my hands on my hips “you heard” Jasmine also her put her hand on her hip “well I was about done hearing you have sex, thank god for doors. I am so glad you never bought girls back. Nasty” I laughed out, she got me there “ok, Sofia needs makeup, you have that. Can she use it?” she better give it “what does she need?” my sister asked “I don’t know? The fuck?” Why she asking me for “well you come here asking, it would be good to know!” I am about done with women, like their mouths “fuck, I don’t know. What do you women put on? Just make up, anything” I shrugged, Jasmine rolled her eyes “you’re useless, I will ask myself. She should just say it to me because you’re useless” Jasmine walked out of her bedroom, shaking my head lightly. Seeing a picture on the bedside table, walking slowly over to it. A picture of us, Jasmine is the only sister so yes she gets so spoilt. My mom had a photoshoot done when she was born, that is cute “you make me sick” my sister walked back into the room “the fuck?” I said “who does that to someone’ neck?” letting out an oh “someone that is marking what is theirs” I retorted “you mean a dog?” Jasmine said back “that too” I am about done with this makeup business.
Holding the spoon out to Bryce “this is my cereal and you here eating my cereal” Bryce ate the contents of the spoon and then skipped off “you’re going to make a good dad Cassius” looking away from the bowl “mom” I said smiling “nobody is supposed to know” looking around the room “nobody is here but you’re going to be so good, no matter how your dad irritated you and try to say you will be like him, you will never be like him. You have a heart, you have love” I cooed out “mom that is so sweet, thank you” playing around with my cereal with my spoon “this is why I didn’t understand why you was being so mean to Sofia, that shit did hurt me” Jasmine walked into the living room “I know but we going to have a meal before you go right?” I paused “erm, honestly mom. We have to go, we need to get our things” Jasmine kicked me as she put her legs up on the couch “but I won’t see you in so long” moving Jasmine’ legs away “I will fly you out, I don’t know” Sofia walked into the living room so timid but I ended up snorting laughing “the foundation didn’t match” Sofia retorted, getting up from the couch “I have never seen a neck so bad” I laughed walking out of the room after hearing what my mom just said.
Placing my bowl in the sink “C! there!” Bryce is saying words “wow Champ, you saying other words. What is it?” looking to where he is pointing “oh it’s Carnell counting my money” my dad glared at me “you remember what happened when you called me that last time” patting Bryce’ head “go and get my phone, you know where that is yeah? Bedroom?” he nodded his head running off “I think you have failed to realise that I would break your jaw, you for to understand Carnell. You just a guy that my mom still wants around, I see you got the share. Who did it? Who got it?” walking over to the table “your mom” my dad looked at me and placed a stack on the table “you trying to be funny?” I questioned “are you? You got to understand Cassius, I still have a say in shit. I went to get it” picking the stack up “this is mine then” my dad got up from his chair “put it back, your little bird needs to pay rent here too” looking up at my dad, this nigga is tall as shit “so do you nigga, watch your mouth!” I half shouted, my dad gripped my neck “I am about sick of your fucking mouth Cassius, you whine about everything. I put you on little nigga” pushed me back onto the table, swinging my fist at my dad and it met his face. He let go of my neck, gripping my dad by his top and throwing him onto the table “you fucking touch me!” punching his face “Cassius! No, no, no! Stop it!” my mom grabbed my arm “that is my boy, show your true colours. No weak shit” moving back from him “Carnell! You stop this! No!” my mom got in front of me “he don’t need you, remember what you are Cassius” my dad touched his face as he made his way by my mom “you are a sick man Carnell, I told you this. You leave him alone!” I was about to move my mom back but my dad barged by her, I saw it “you about to get your jaw broken!” I spat, my dad walked off as I stormed behind him, my hand behind his head pushed his head forward so his face met the wall “you fucking touch my mom” turning him around, my dad laughed “is this how you beat Jordan mhmm?” feeling a hand on my arm “Cassius, oh my god. Stop it” Sofia said “he’s all yours Sofia” letting my dad go, his face is bleeding and I can’t do this. He is forever playing with my mind.
Walking by Sofia, I want to punch a wall but I didn’t “dad, why did you do this. We was just ok?” Jasmine said, walking into the living room seeing Bryce sat on the floor, walking back out “Cassius, where are you going?” Sofia said behind me, dragging open the door and walking out. I need some air, I am so angry at him. He wanted me to hit him, I know he did and now I did but I feel bad that I have, I am just so done with shit right now. Sitting down on the step, he’s jealous. The only way he is being this way is because he went to pick up the money, I told Josiah. He picked it up and saw what I did, he saw the shit I left. He is mad I left it, he is jealous I did what his crackhead ass didn’t, the bastard. I did better and he can’t take that “Cassius” Sofia sat next to me “what happened? Why did you hit him, baby” Sofia put her arm around my neck, she kissed my cheek. I feel teary eyed now “I let him get to me, that is all” I am not about to tell Sofia dull shit about my life, she don’t need to hear that. Everything I did was for my family, my mom actually “we going now, get your things together” I am going to kill him if he hurts my mom like that, I done threatened him once about it.
Waking into the bedroom, my mom and Sofia stopped talking “what is it?” I asked, they both talking closely “I just said to your mom we will have a meal with her before we go, just your mom, Josiah and Jasmine. Bryce will be home by then, I said we will” walking into my room “we need to go home Sofia” why she making plans for “stop being hardheaded Cassius, please for me. She wants it” why do I bother, they do their own thing anyways “are you buying the tickets? The tickets are booked, we can’t be late. You know what actually do what you like, call me when you feel the need to go” I can’t be bothered, like it’s just too much headache. When she is ready she will call, closing the bedroom door and made my way down the steps “you going?” Jasmine said “if you can see with your eyes, yes” Ethan or someone will be out here as they do.
Looking down at my phone seeing Sofia calling my phone “I was thinking Cassius” Zed said, placing my phone in my pocket “that it is dangerous when you think people are trying to get you killed, do you think about this place. It needs to be moved I think, mark my words. The police going to raid this, move this place to somewhere else. Tip them off, say that this is the warehouse. Make them come here, there will be nothing here. I want the police to know I am one step ahead of them, I may have gave you this but it’s mine” turning to Zed “how do you know they will be coming here? I mean we share right?” he questioned, I chuckled “I made phone calls, I decided to be fucking with their case against me. You can either be my friend or enemy, learn that Zed” Zed looked at me all confused “what do you mean?” I am in the wrong mood right now “what I don’t get Zed, Lamar has been doing this for years and he gets killed. He’s not stupid, I just can’t wrap my head around it. He was simply going home, why is it I feel there is not someone I can trust, someone is fucking with me. Lamar has learnt a lot from me, for him to go down that easily. I was supposed to see you a while ago but I did today, I am just in the mood” Zed just shook his head “I don’t get it Cassius, I run this how you want it. I trust your judgement, what happened to Lamar, it happened” pacing away from Zed “I don’t have time for games Zed, there is too much riding on things. My life, my freedom, seeing my child be born. I can’t make mistakes now” hearing the gunshots behind me, not once but twice “thank you Ethan” turning around, seeing the blood on the floor “people are liars, now you fucking show the next person that fucking do shit wrong, that is what they get” Ethan nodded his head “so who runs this?” he asked “you move this place, remember this. I always find out, you move from here, everything moves. Any money gets wired to me Ethan, also you show them workers, this what happens. He got my friend killed!” waking out of the office.
Stood in the elevator as it went up, I have no idea if Sofia is here but I am here. Rubbing my face frustrated, today is just a write off. Now this shit is mine again, I can’t trust anyone. He got Lamar killed, he knew Lamar is loyal to me, Lamar was telling me everything to me, he wanted him gone and set that up, Lamar is not that stupid. He knew the person, to be killed that way. Zed is just an idiot, it was a damn shame but he couldn’t do this. He’s gone now and we must move on, I couldn’t have him alive. He could sing to the police, I wasn’t about to have that either. I was always going to do that, I just so happened to be there myself. Even at the church, he was never there as he was. He was scared, he was mad shady and I don’t play that. Swiping the keycard to access the room, pushing the door open. Sofia is here “you’re an asshole” Sofia didn’t wait “asshole? Because I went out, ok then” throwing my phone on the bed “you ignored my calls, Josiah dropped me off here. Seriously, talk to me. Why just walk off” I should just accept what she is saying, it saves arguments “I am sorry” I apologised so we can move on “I just needed some space” Sofia walked by me “I will pay for my own flight ticket, I don’t need you” then Sofia calls me hardheaded.
Of course Sofia has dragged me to this meal, I obliged. I was being a little bit of an ass to Sofia and I don’t like that, I am just so annoyed with things “you ok mom?” hugging my mom “I am ok baby, you not angry no more. Don’t let him get you angry and don’t be mean to Sofia, Cassius she loves you and you get angry with her. You get angry with me” here my mom goes, I had to laugh “mom seriously, I just got annoyed. Everything good” moving back from the hug, Sofia already sat down, she looks more happy that she can hide her hickeys now “you good?” hitting Josiah’ arm as I walked around the table “I’m fly my nigga, are you?” nodding my head, sitting down next to Sofia “you have such pretty dresses, like wow. Your body is great” Jasmine comlimented Sofia “thank you, I hope my body has changed the right way” her cleveage is showing a little too much actually “can I take what you woud like to drink?” the waiter asked, placing my hand on Sofia’ thigh “I am sorry” I said in her ear “I know you are Cassius, just don’t ignore my calls next time” she looked at me “I had to do something, I love you” Sofia pecked my lips “love you too, and I will have a water please” she said to the waiter “I will have a Corona” sitting back in the seat “you ready to go back now?” my mom asked “I am, I think it’s time I go. Things are more calm that way” I am right with that “but mom, if you need anything from me. I will be back here straight away, I promise you” I will kill my dad if he tries “I understand Cassius” my mom said, it’s time for us to go back after this meal I have a lot of thinking to do.

This Christmas (MyDay Secret Santa gift)
a/n: wow, okay first off i haven’t written a fic in years so this was a #struggle so props to all of you writers out there doin ur thing! ur amazing and you are appreciated!
i wrote this for my secret santa gift for one of the world’s nicest mydays aka @parkjaeins ! it’s been so fun messaging you, and i’m really glad i got to know you a little bit! i hope you have an amazing christmas, and i hope this is slightly enjoyable! (im sorry i still don’t quite like the beginning and end so forgive me!!)
genre: holiday fluff, angst if you squint and do a headstand
word count: 2.8k-ish oof
summary: Distance makes the heart grow fonder, they say. However, being apart for their first Christmas left Janelle particularly reminiscent. (a.k.a. holiday facetiming with Jae)
characters: Jae x OC, 3rd person (I did write this specifically for my secret santa!)
Brrrrrrng.
“Huh.”
The ringing sound slowly seeped its way into Janelle’s consciousness, insisting its way through her concentration as her brain reached for a response. What was that noise again?
Brrrrrrrng.
“Oh.”
Janelle haphazardly leaned over the bowls and ingredients crowding the counter in an effort to reach her laptop. Smudging some residual flour on the mouse pad of her laptop, she ran her fingers over the device and pressed down to hear that satisfying little click, accepting the video call request.
“Hi, babe!” she called out hurriedly, dancing around her own feet to maneuver in front of her laptop. Catching herself in and out of balance, her body finally slumped onto the countertop, a lopsided smile decorating her face.
A scratching sound echoed in the kitchen as Jae shuffled around on the other end of the call. Janelle caught the sight of the dormitory in the moving scene displayed in front of her. “He must’ve just finished at the Christmas Eve concert the boys were having,” she thought.
“Hey, baby,” Jae drawled with a tired smile on his face, raising his phone to eye level now. “How’s it going?” A soft thump pushed its way through her laptop speakers as Jae unceremoniously flopped onto his bed, followed by the murmur of ”Merry Christmas Eve.”
“Pffft,” Janelle laughed airily at his antics. “I’m doing fine, just trying to finish up some things for our Christmas get-together.” Glancing down at her hands, she noted the dusting of dry ingredients surrounding her laptop and absentmindedly brushed it away with her fingers. “How was the show tonight?”
Jae quietly beamed, his face turning up towards the ceiling. “Man, the fans’ energy was great. I think it was a nice way to finish 2018 as a group and fans, we had a pretty good year together, y’know?” He reached back, ruffling his fluffy crop of hair. “I just wish you could’ve been there.”
A small sadness panged through Janelle’s chest. “I know, I do, too…” She exhaled softly. With Jae’s world tour, music show performances, and awards shows on top of Janelle’s studies and exams that all seemed to come nonstop the past two months, the pair only had digital representations of each other to find comfort in.
A thought dwelled in the back of Janelle’s mind: she knew long distance spells like this would be a reality when she chose to let Jae into her life, but she didn’t expect that the deep craving to be there with him would ache so thoroughly. Walking into a coffee shop reminded her of their first few meetings with him. Seeing dogs on the street reminded her of the time they puppy-sat for Dowoon when Janelle concluded that Jae was absolutely a Yorkie.
-
“A Yorkie?!” Jae choked while Janelle cackled. “How on earth am I a Yorkie?”
“C’mon, don’t tell me you don’t see it. Big personality, easily susceptible to getting clowned, sassy, territorial, suspicious of every noise, they’re, like, 18 cm tall, you’re 180 cm,” she listed off, checking off each thing with her fingers. “Yorkies absolutely fit the bill.”
“Okay, okay okay,” Jae hurriedly interjected, “but I protest. I’m more like a Great Dane, or something.” He was incredulous, and she could tell. This would be fun, and she knew it. “I am friendly, I am loving, I am large and in charg-” Unfortunately, he did not get to finish before Janelle’s laughter burst through the conversation.
“Please do not finish that phrase, oh my gosh,” she managed through her giggles, sitting up. She patted his knee gingerly. “The only thing you can claim from a Great Dane is you don’t realize how big you are.”
“I am offended,” Jae gasped, eyes wide and a hand mockingly hovering over his chest, “are you calling me fat?”
Suddenly, Janelle’s humorous expression dropped. She knew what was coming. “Jaehyung Park, don’t you dare,” she tried to warn, but Jae wasn’t one to back down from a joke.
“I am honestly HURT that you would call your warm and caring boyfriend fat,” he went on, progressively leaning further into her space on the couch, “I truly thought you appreciated my physique, you’ve never once complained about my cuddles, but I guess your true feelings are showing.” He continued blabbering dramatically as he used every bit of height he had over her to lay uncomfortably on top of her protesting figure. He turned onto his back as he tried to push her into the couch as she alternated between laughs and groans of discomfort.
“Jae, you’re really bony, you know that?”
“Yep.”
“So you know I’m very uncomfortable right now.”
“Yep.”
“So then what will it take to get you off of me, if you don’t mind?”
“Admit I’m a Great Dane.”
“But you know, you’re really acting like a stubborn Yorkie right now,” she commented, wiggling underneath him to free her shoulder of his spine pressing into her. He only pushed further. “Ow!”
“Or am I just an affectionate Great Dane trying to get some reciprocated affection?” he rebutted, turning his head to catch a glimpse of her struggling underneath the dead weight of his body.
-
“Hey, is something on your mind?”
Janelle snapped back to attention, staring at the image of Jae on her laptop. He was sitting up, looking at her curiously with a bit of worry coloring his gaze.
“Sorry, I just zoned out a bit,” she smiled meekly, widening the placement of her elbows, allowing her to fiddle with her fingers.
Jae gave her a knowing smile. He could read her like a book, no, like a score, watching all the thoughts swirling intertwining within her, conveying her thoughts and emotions in a symphony of signs: the light behind her eyes, the furrow and lift of her brows, the pull of her lips, the curve of her posture. “Damn,” he thought, “I’ve got it bad.”
“It’s okay,” he assured warmly, trying to lift the mood. He knew it was hard being apart for their first Christmas as a couple, but it was Christmas, for goodness sakes, and he wasn’t about to let Janelle be sad if he could help it. “So what are you doing for the fam?” he asked, hoping to bring about a lighter topic.
Janelle looked at the bowls, sugar, baking powder, and other items scattered about next to her. “Well, I’ve been trying to finish baking as much as I can for tomorrow’s dinner so tomorrow is as stress-free as possible,” she sighed, the hours of baking she’d done the past week catching up to her. “I realized a few days ago that I’d been so busy baking for everyone else that I forgot to plan what I’d bring to Christmas dinner, so I’m just making a batch of brownies.” Her eyes flitted over the half-done batch of batter she had been making when Jae called. The oven light let out a soft click to signal it was done preheating, briefly drawing her attention to the appliance. “I figured it’s a crowd-pleaser, so I couldn’t really go wrong.”
Jae threw back his head with a groan and a smile. “You’re making brownies? Without me to taste test? I’m jealous.” There was no doubt Janelle’s baking was popular amongst her family and friends, and Jae was undoubtedly a contender for her number one fan.
Jae watched Janelle turn back towards the camera and arch an eyebrow playfully. “You better watch that sweet tooth of yours, I wouldn’t want you going out to find a substitute sweet and finding a better baker than me,” she joked. “I can’t lose my number one customer.”
A fondness curled up inside Jae’s chest. He lolled his head to the side, squinting and shaking his head. “Never, babe.” A brief but familiar silence lapsed between the two as they alternated looking at each other and at their hands. Jae quickly cut in, “But for real, you’re going to save me some, right? I put it on my Christmas list, and I’ll be very sad if I miss out on that brownie goodness.”
Janelle chuckled. “Well, if I can figure out the rules for sending food at the post, then I might just make you a batch.” Collecting her measuring spoons and snatching the tub of cocoa powder, she scooped up the soft, brown powder and tapped it into her mixing bowl. She glanced at him through the camera mischievously, attempting an air on nonchalance. “But you might check under your bed in the meantime, Santa may have left something to make it up to you.”
Squinting suspiciously to hide his excitement, he lowered his arm and scooted off the bed. Sliding himself to the floor, he rested on his knees and elbows, still clutching onto the device that held Janelle, nervously awaiting his reaction. Sure enough, a small box sat proudly amongst the clutter underneath his bed. “Wow, a bow and everything!” he tucked his chin in in a big, goofy grin. Janelle’s view of Jae was obstructed as he ducked to grab the gift.
“Nice ceiling, are those new lights?” she quipped, heart picking up a little as she waited for him to see the gift. Jae just snorted in response. She was actually quite nervous: had the gift made it in one piece? Was it the right one? She hadn’t laid eyes on it herself, rather, she had it shipped straight to South Korea, entrusting Younghyun to receive and hide the box in Jae’s room. Abandoning the mix once more, she looked on as the camera moved around dizzyingly until Jae righted himself into view.
“Aw, thank you, babe,” Jae cooed, examining the box in his free hand.
Janelle smiled, trying to egg him on. “You can thank me after you open it! Go ahead!”
He obliged, commentating with his stream of consciousness while setting down his phone to pry open the box. “Alright, alright, I’m going. I can’t believe this, who did you have to bribe to bust into my room?” he paused and shoved his head directly in front of his phone. “Was it Brian?”
“Jae, for the love of all that is good and sacred, if you don’t open that gift, I’m going to send all of your brownies to Wonpil and make you suffer, please open it!” Janelle threatened quickly, eyebrows shooting up to try and show some authority.
“You’re not intimidating, babe.”
“...shut up and open the stinking box.”
Jae continued on, ripping open the tape keeping the box sealed. Janelle shifted on her feet, waiting for any sort of reaction.
“Well?” she asked, only catching the tip of his head from the angle of the camera.
“Well, you need to tell Brian that he’s a crappy gift wrapper. He only put a bow on it,” Jae panned, holding the red decoration over the camera for Janelle to see. Janelle heard the final rip as the last bit of tape gave up its hold on the box. Shuffling. She gazed intensely at the shot of Jae’s forehead, the nerves in her stomach tingling. She studied the way his eyebrows pushed up, creating fine wrinkles in his forehead.
Jae was silent. Janelle hopes it’s the good kind of silent. Chewing on the inside of her lip, she cautiously asked, “Do you like it?”
The view on her laptop shifted again as Jae picked up his phone. She couldn’t read the look on his face, but she didn’t push any further. Jae sat against the side of his bed, organizing his thoughts, his jaw slack and his eyes clear. “Janelle, this is…” he left his sentence unfinished, opting to shake his head and look directly into the camera. “Thank you for this,” he swiveled around, snatching his pillow off the bed to use as a stand for his phone. He carefully set down the device and leaned it against the pillow until his cross-legged figure was in full view. Next to him lay the now empty brown box, and in his lap sat a brown leather bound book. He turned his attention to it, opening the cover gently, eyes roaming the title page that read “Memories” in black script. In it were pictures the pair had taken while they had visited each other, Janelle when she went to Korea in the summer and Jae when he pit-stopped for a day after the concert stop in Jakarta. Some were selfies, showing silly faces and surprise kisses, some were sneakily taken shots of Jae sleeping on the couch or low-angle shots under his chin. He slowly flicked through the pages, seeing pictures of the coffee shop where they first met in Korea, selfies of Janelle pouting with a small plushie Jae had given her before she left to start uni.
Janelle watched on, her chin resting on the heel of her palm, her weight balancing on one foot as she crossed her ankles, resting her toes on the cool floor of her kitchen. She felt a soft bliss as Jae scanned the photo book she had made for him, a compilation of their times together so they could reminisce. She knew how sentimental Jae was inside, and she knew how hard being constantly busy was, and if he missed her the way she missed him, the distance couldn’t have been easy on him.
“I just figured it’d be nice to start keeping something to help us along when we’re apart,” Janelle divulged, eyeing the screen before letting her eyes fall to the countertop.
“There’s blank ones,” Jae remarked, looking at his screen once more. His voice was soft, devoid of the usual playfulness typical of his tone.
Janelle bit her lip, an excited smile forming on her face. “Yeah, I left those for our future memories.”
Jae rocked backwards, hands holding his ankles, hitting the side of his bed in the process. He looked down at the book again, a smile brimming on his own face. “I love it, babe. This was very thoughtful, I really like it.” Making eye contact with her through the screen, he tried to convey as meaningful a look as possible. “Come, here,” he suddenly said, holding his arms out towards the phone, wrapping it and the pillow in an awkward hug.
Janelle laughed on the other end of the line. “Well, that didn’t last long, did it?”
“Come on, don’t leave me hanging, or else this’ll get really awkward.”
“It already is awkward, Jae.”
“It’s what I do best.”
Releasing a sigh ahead of a warm smile, Janelle obliged, wrapping her laptop a hugging gesture. “You’re crazy.”
“Right back at ya,” Jae drew away, smoothly dropping a wink. Janelle gagged in response.
“What about me? Any hints for my gift?” Janelle redirected, hoping to escape more electronics-as-middleman skinship.
Looking out at his room, Jae exhaled shortly. “I checked the postage tracking, but I think it got held up in customs,” he explained, “I knew I should’ve sent it earlier.”
“Don’t worry about it!” Janelle hastily deflected the negativity pulling down on her boyfriend’s shoulders. “Anything is fine, I’m just lucky to have you,” she pressed her lips together to try and dispel any regret he may have been having.
“Janelle,” Jae began, “I think we all know that I’m the lucky one in this combo. Like, the fact that I even managed to meet you is a miracle in itself, so please, will you let me keep the title of ever-grateful boyfriend here?”
A roll of the eyes. A sarcastic smirk.
“Well, I guess, but where does that leave me, huh?”
“You win title of the most tolerant girlfriend to the most ridiculous man on earth,” he quipped.
Another eye roll. “Well, you’ve got that right,” she muttered jokingly.
“I’ll let that slide since it’s Christmas.” Jae got up from the floor, clutching the book as he waddled over to his desk.
“You love me,” Janelle swayed her shoulders to the side, leaning her head down until they met before she started to pick back up on her baking.
“You know it.”
Time slipped by as they continued to chatter about plans before ringing in the New Year. Janelle joked about kissing a random person at midnight on New Years Eve: sulking, Jae left the phone on his desk as he paced around his room. “That’s mean,” he pouted. Both of them knew that neither would ever do such a thing, and both trusted each other to not betray that.
After catching up with each other, Jae was fighting back the onslaught of sleep and Janelle was waiting for her brownies to finish baking. It was quite late, but neither party seemed to want to end the call. Eventually, Janelle’s conscience nagged her into encouraging Jae to go to bed.
“You need the rest, you shouldn’t sleep Christmas away,” she reasoned, swinging her legs from her perch on the countertop.
Jae whined, but relented. “Yes, ma’am,” he grumbled sarcastically. “Talk to you later?”
“Yeah, talk to you later. Good night, Jae.” That little pang in her chest returned, wishing earnestly that she could be there with him.
“G’night, babe,” Jae grinned, crinkling his eyes and waving before her smiling face disappeared and a dark screen took her place.
Heaving a sigh, Jae propelled himself up from his bed, going to the bathroom to wash up before packing his toiletries.
Her Christmas gift was on his way.
a/n: WOW congrats if you made it through!! hope you enjoyed it, have a merry christmas!

Snake Girl 3
Imagine: Being Archie’s little sister and getting sick which leads to your friends (Sweet Pea included) to check up on you at home.
warning: cute fluff.
Part 1 Part 2
“Are you sure you’re going to be fine today, sweetie?” Your dad came into your room early morning on a school day; his worry was clear as you started to cough harshly. “I can afford to take a day of.” He says as he hands you more medicine.
You take the medicine with a scowl on your face; you detested being sick. “Dad, I’m fine, I can handle being on my own today.” You reassure not wanting him to miss out on work, “No need to take drastic measures.” You give a small smile being you blew your nose into a tissue. You weren’t sure who had gotten you sick but since your immune system was shit, this virus was hitting you rather hard.
You had fainted yesterday during you training session with Reggie and Reggie had totally freaked out. You had been feeling shit that morning but brushed it off because you didn’t’ want to miss school—your attendance was perfect and you didn’t want to ruin it…until your father and brother forced you to stay home today.
Vegas was sleeping soundly at your feet acting as your lazy protector and companion for the day. Archie came in with some medicinal tea, “I made you some tea and just like you like it.” Archie offered you the warm mug and you gladly accepted it—anything to clear your clogged up sinuses and sooth your itchy throat.
“Thanks, Arch.” You thanked with some relief before drinking the almost too hot tea—you were desperate to get rid of this unbearable itch in your throat, “I hate being sick.” You muttered with disdain.
“Blame your mother; she has a weak immune system too.” Your father smiled softly.
“Thanks, mom.” You sighed unhappily.
“I gotta get to school, text me if you need anything, okay? I’ll come by for lunch, okay?” Archie reassures coming over to kiss your forehead and ruffled Vegas’s head, “You take good care of her, okay, Vegas?” Archie demanded to the dog with a grin.
Vegas sleepily looked up at your brother and lazily wagged his tail.
“I might be late coming home from work but I’ll leave some money in the kitchen for pizza or whatever you want, okay?” Your father said as he was leaving for work too. He saw you nod and both of them left your room leaving you and Vegas finally in solace.
You had planned to take a shit-ton of medicine, drink your tea, and sleep this virus off. You wanted to get better as soon as possible. After blowing your nose for the hundredth time that morning, you curled into your sheets with Vegas moving to curl into your side and drifted off into a deep sleep.
You woke up to Vegas slapping his tail against your face, “Vegas, what the hell.” You grumbled with your voice sounding horrible. You sat up and heard Archie’s voice along with Reggie’s. “Huh, is it lunch time already?” You mumbled with a sigh, “I wish I would’ve slept the entire day.”
“Y/N? Are you awake?” Archie hollered as he loudly stomped up the stairs.
“I am now.” You remarked grumpily and ran your hand over your hair knowing it must’ve been all over the place, “Vegas kept slapping his tail in my face.” Archie came into your room and Reggie awkwardly looked out of place.
“Reggie wanted to see how you were doing; you freaked him out pretty bad.” Archie explained as your big brother opened his backpack and handed your lunchbox, “I convinced the lunch-lady to give you an extra brownie.” Archie grins, “How are you feeling?”
You sniffled and replied with a sad look, “Still pretty shitty. I can’t breathe through my nose and my throat hurts a lot.” You explain to him and Archie frowns, “I think I might have a throat infection.” You were pretty prone to often throat infections for some odd reason.
Vegas was excitedly sniffing at Reggie and Reggie seemed to enjoy the dog’s attention. Reggie did have a soft spot for dogs. “I’ll call our doctor to make an appointment for later today,” Archie hums lightly, “I’ll go make your tea.” Archie kisses your forehead and leaves the room.
“Sorry for freaking you out yesterday.” You apologized to Reggie and gesture for him to sit down in your recliner next to your bed, “I didn’t think it would get that bad so fast.”
Reggie sat in the recliner, “I noticed how red your cheeks were but I didn’t think anything of it; I’m just glad you’re okay.” Reggie smiled as Vegas planted himself at Reggie’s feet, “I don’t think I saw your dog at the party the other week, he’s pretty cool.” Reggie admits sheepishly.
“Archie had him in my room. We didn’t want anyone messing with him or kidnapping him.” You chuckled softly.
“I, ah, I brought homework from third period.” Reggie admits looking a bit shy which was weird of him, “Homework and notes.” Reggie opens his backpack and puts his blue folder on your nightstand.
“Thanks, Reg,” You sigh happily, “I was going to ask but I wiped out as soon as Archie and my dad left the house.” Despite his status and appearance, Reggie was pretty intelligent.
“Sleeping off the sickness, eh? Lucky you, I can’t fall asleep easily when I get sick.” Reggie tells you with a light scowl, “I keep thinking how I miss my nostrils not being clogged the fuck up and how I hate being sick and in turn, can’t sleep.”
You giggle, “I feel you, I was like that last night but Archie practically overdosed me with Nyquil and I knocked out with fifteen minutes.”
“Archie has you pretty sheltered, huh?” Reggie muses randomly, “I don’t blame him. If I had a little sister, I’d be the same too.”
“It can get pretty frustrating when he’s in big brother mode.” You scoff with an eye roll, “Remember homecoming last year? I went with Frankie and he got too handsy and you all ended up beating him up.”
Reggie smirked, “Archie was pretty livid. I’m surprised the kid left with his life.”
“I doubt I’ll get asked out this year.” You grumbled.
“Who knows, maybe some poor guy will finally have the balls to stand up to your brother.” Reggie snickers though it sounds like he doubts it because Archie is backed up by the football team. Archie comes back with your tea and you gladly drink it. Archie and Reggie catch you up with the drama at school before it was time for them to go back to school before the first bells rang.
You managed to get the strength and walked them to the front door, “Feel better, Y/N.” Reggie smiles as Archie hugs you.
“Thanks, Reg, I appreciate you coming to see me and giving me homework and notes.” You smile back even though you feel very yucky—maybe a nice, hot shower would help you feel better. You bid farewell to your brother and Reggie and watch them drive away. You close the door, locked it, and trudged up the stairs to go take a hot—very hot shower. Your dad had made it clear that you couldn’t go see your snake babies until you were better which was a major bummer.
After taking a shower, you decided to clean up the house. The shower did help clearing your nose but it didn’t last very long. You felt pretty shitty but cleaning helped take your mind off feeling shitty. Eventually, you grabbed your favorite pillow and cat blanket and plopped down on the cough to watch some movies. The Devil Wears Prada, 13 going on 30, The Interview, and How to train your dragon were your must sees whenever you were sick.
It wasn’t long until someone was knocking on your front door.
“Who the fuck…” You grumbled groggily since you had been falling asleep. Vegas was already at the door, you gently push him away from the front door, and opened it to see Jughead, Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea and they brought Pop’s.
“We come bearing gifts.” Jughead smiles.
“You look like shit.” Fangs deadpans and Toni smacks the shit out of his shoulder, “Ow! She does but it’s kinda cute.”
“Thanks, dude.” You roll your eyes, “Come on in, I can’t turn away good company and good food. Does Archie know you’re all here?” You ask as you let them inside. Jughead didn’t look so out of place in your house but the Serpents did and it was almost funny. Sweet Pea was almost to tall for your door and it made you giggle.
Sweet Peas cock an eyebrow at you, “Something funny?” He glares mildly at you.
“You’re a giant.” You muttered closing the door, “You almost don’t fit through the door.” You look up at him since he was tall as hell and he towered over you.
Sweet Pea shakes his head, “Thanks, Y/N.” He remarks dryly.
“What a cutie!” Toni coos over Vegas who is basking in the attention.
You guess everyone had a soft spot for dogs. “What kind of gay shit were you watching.” Fangs is going through your DVD cases with a disgusted look.
“Hey, these are classics.” Toni defends your taste in movies.
“The Devil Wears Prada and 13 going on 30 are pretty good.” Jughead adds earning disgusted looks from Fangs and Sweet Pea. You were all smiles and laughs despite feeling so sick as you ate with Jughead and the Serpents. You felt right at home with them, it was weird. It felt as if you had known Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea all your life.
“You don’t like tomatoes?” Sweet Pea frowns as you pick off the tomatoes off your burger—Jughead knew you hated tomatoes but ordered them on your burger only because it meant a free tomato for him. You peeled off the two slices of tomato and dropped it on Jughead’s burger. You ignored his happy smirk.
“They’re gross.” You mumbled as you shoved your burger into your mouth.
“I like a girl that can eat.” Fangs watch you with awe and it made you feel uncomfortable.
Jughead smacks Fangs on the arm, “She doesn’t like when people stare at her while she eats.” Jughead informs him.
“Sorry.” Fangs mumbled.
It didn’t take long until the good food was gone and the good company was begging to see your snake collection. “Jughead, go ahead and give them a tour. My dad banned me from the snake shack.” You tell him before going into a fit of rough coughs that had Toni patting your back and Jughead to look for the Nyquil.
“Are you sure?” Jughead asks as he hands you some Nyquil.
You nod, “Yeah.” Toni and Fangs are beyond excited but Sweet Pea declines to go. Fangs taunts him for being a bitch but eventually left to the snake shack. “Why didn’t you go?” You asked him curiously as the both of you sit at the dining table—your chair angled towards his.
He shrugged, “I rather you give me a tour of your snakes.” He replies easily.
You smiled, “Why?”
Sweet Pea pins you with a serious look that leaves your stomach squirming, “Because I like how excited you get whenever you talk about your snakes.” You couldn’t help the blush that burns over your cheeks and your eyes downcast with some shyness.
“People usually get tired of my endless ramblings about snakes.” You mumbled softly.
You shyly look up at Sweet Pea and find him staring at you with an interesting smile, “I don’t, I think it’s cool that you’re that passionate about snake; I think it’s hot.” Sweet Pea leans in towards you and you’re frozen in place.
Your heart hammers tightly in your chest—no boy had ever been this close to your face before. His dark eyes seemed somber and held you captive with how intense they seemed. He seemed so bad and tough but…you felt almost safe with him. “I’ve been thinking about something and I need your advice.” Sweet Pea spoke and you shyly watched his lips move.
“Advice on what?” You mumbled leaning away slightly—your cheeks were flushed deeply and Sweet Pea noted your reaction with amusement.
“I like you.” Sweet Pea deadpans.
“M-M-Me?” You stuttered with wide eyes unable to believe that big and tough Sweet Pea could possibly like someone like you, “But…I’m a Northsider?” You squeaked.
Sweet Pea reached out to grab the bottom of your chair and pulled your chair towards him—your legs now touching his. Your hands began to get clammy and you licked your lips unsure what was going on. “You act way different than a normal Northsider.” Sweet Pea says watching as you chew on your lower lip.
“I’m not sure if your people would approve of you dating a Northsider.” You whispered with a sad tone.
“I don’t give a fuck about what others think,” Sweet Pea says firmly taking you by surprise, “You’re special, Y/N, and everyone can see it. I’ve never met a girl like you and no girl has ever held my interest as you do…I know what I want and it is you.” Sweet Pea reaches out to gently gasp your clammy hand. You watch intently as his large hand engulfs your small hand and couldn’t help but to love the warmth of his skin—how can someone be so hot?
You felt like a fish out of water, “I…I…I’ve never had a boyfriend so, I don’t know how to be a girlfriend?” You awkwardly say and cringe.
Sweet Pea smirks, “It’s not that hard,” He reassures, “And I promise to be a good boyfriend.” He adds softly, “I didn’t think I’d ever be serious with anyone but I know I want my first relationship to be with you.”
His words made your hear sing an angle choir—you’ve heard a lot of guys talking with similar sweet words but Sweet Pea’s voice…sounded so sincere. His eyes were an open book and you knew it was because he was letting you see a side of him no one really saw. You didn’t notice but your fingers were intertwining with his. A relationship with Sweet Pea wouldn’t be easy…who he was and what he stood for…but it didn’t really matter to you.
Archie would…definitely throw a temper tantrum. Your father…you weren’t sure how your father would react. “You’re asking me out, right?” You dumbly ask.
Sweet Pea smirked softly, “Yeah, I am.”
You blush, “Are you sure this is what you want?”
Sweet Pea squeezes your hand, “I know what I want, Y/N, and I usually don’t change my mind about things like this.” Sweet Pea reassures, “So, is that a yes or no?” Sweet Pea questions.
You couldn’t help but to smile softly, “Yes.”
Sweet Pea grins, “I don’t usually like parents but I’ll try to give your father a good impression of me.” He says and sighs, “I really want to kiss you right now, I’m beyond stoked right now.” He says with a light pout. Your eyes staring at his lips—he had really nice lips.
“Don’t look at me like that, Princess,” Sweet Pea slips his hand into your hair and pulls you dangerously close to his face, “I might be tempted to kiss you.”
You blush and he smirks, “I’m sick.” You muttered sadly.
“Not for long.” Sweet Pea muses, “I’m going to enjoy having you as mine.” He murmurs brushing his lips against your cheek. Your body shook with joy and pleasure—this boy was going to be the death of you.
“Well, I can’t say I’m surprised.” Toni’s voice made you flinch away from Sweet Pea so roughly that you fell off your chair.
“Ow…” You whined as Sweet Pea helped you up.
“You okay?” Sweet Pea murmurs with a small smile.
“This is your fault.” You grumble with a blush.
“Archie is going to freak the fuck out.” Jughead says unsure whether or not he approves of this situation.
“Yes! You made your move!” Fangs comes in and pats Sweet Pea on the shoulder with a large smirk, “Finally, I was tired of hearing you talk about her.”
“You talked about me?” You teased softly.
Sweet Pea scowls at Fangs but looks at you and his glare softens, “Yeah.”
“Oh, gross.” Jughead snorts.
“You two will be so cute together.” Toni says with a smile, “I can imagine the heads that will turn with the news of Sweet Pea and Y/N going out.”
“A first date will make it official.” Jughead adds protectively, “Right, Sweet Pea?”
Sweet Pea rolls his eyes, “Of course, Jughead.”
You giggle cutely and Sweet Pea is quick to pull you into his side, “Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of you, Princess.” Sweet Pea whispers in your ear.
