Most of you have probably never heard of this little country in eastern Europe, but we're here and we're in danger. My hometown, Varna, is known for its heavy rains and storms, accompanied by awful winds, for years. Yesterday however, happened something we've never seen before. A suburb at the far end of the city, Asparuhovo. has been absolutely flooded, as you can see from the pictures above. 10 people were found dead (2 children among them), 3 are still missing and a child, found on the rooftop of a car is alone in the hospital, his parents working outside the country and unable to reach, his grandmother also missing. The lightnings yesterday night left this and other parts of the city without electricity and/or water until an hour or so ago.

Another eastern city, Dobrich, and a central one, Veliko Tarnovo are in the same situation with 2 dead and 1 missing, with an amber alert announced for disastrous situation.
