She-Bang

Shenice Vale was the product of a shadowy research and development facility that aimed to create genetically enhanced operatives.   Shenice was the only test subject to thrive and she was endowed with greatly enhanced strength, speed and agility.  The reason Shenice thrived while the other subjects withered is that Shenice was treated like a real child by the two scientists who effectively raised her.  These scientists came to see Shenice as their daughter and they spirited her away afraid of what the facility had in store for her.  

As a teenager, Shenice hid out in the city of Dakota.  After the events of the ‘Big Bang’ and the influx of meta-human youths created by the Quantum Vapor, Shenice and her parents figured she would be mistaken as a ‘bang baby’ thus throwing off the scent of the pursuing agents from the facility.  

In Dakota, Shenice took on the identity of ‘She-Bang’ and used her powers to fight crime as a costumed superhero.  This resulted in encounters with Dakota’s other teen hero, Static.  Although Static was happy to have the help, he did find Shenice’s over-confidence and lack of modesty to be grating.  As he learned more about her history, however, Static became more understanding and accepting of Shenice’s demeanor.  Static ended up helping her evade the agents of the facility who continued to pursue her.  

Actress Rosslynn Taylor-Jordan provided the voice for She-Bang, with the young heroine first appearing in the fourth episode of the third season of Static Shock, ‘Shebang.’

Uru passes Scar the potatoes.

Scar takes one, making no move to eat it.

Mufasa picks at his curry.

Scar refills his water glass.

Sarabi spoons up a bite of tomato, chewing rather longer than she needs to.

Ahadi clears his throat. "So... how is the Triton merger coming along?"

"No business at the table, please," Uru murmurs.

"Right. Sorry. Uh, Taka- how is that girl you're with? The one you brought to the wedding, what's her name, Shenice?"

"Shenzi," Scar corrects, in a near-monotonous recital, "and we're not together, and she's doing well."

"That's good."

Uru gives her husband an encouraging smile and turns to her son again. "Well, is there anyone special in your life now, Taka?"

"No."

"Ah."

Mufasa turns over a chunk of meat with his fork.

Sarabi fidgets with her napkin.

Scar takes sip of water, completely ignoring the food on his plate.

"How's Simba?" Uru inquires.

Though it's the second time the subject has come up this evening, Mufasa and Sarabi respond with a fair amount of enthusiasm, and the conversation trickles along until dessert.

i finished season 3 of static shock!! aaah i loved it lol this show is so much fun and do i feel a little bad that the highlight of my marathon so far is not even batman focused? maybe a little. richie becoming gear was fantastic and i loved the new characters like shenice :) BEST EPISODES: gear, static in africa, she-bang, a league of their own, toys in the hood, and flashback! hopes for season 4: wah i still really want virgils dad and sister to find out hes static 😭 thats all im really gunning for

Virgil and Richie are so in tune to each other that having another member there's just not working and they're just so angry about it. Dam. It's very difficult to have a big personality and have a lot of people that are also in their own spaces in that conflict. I love this show.

This would be teen Kinsley every year when she went to visit her family in the states! I see her family over there being but heavy and they are just like this but love Mason! They would be like “If you miss him so much, why don’t you bring him…” Next year, Mason would come and her boy cousins would love it! Also, what state would you say mama Min is from? I don’t know why I can see her being from Los Angeles, Houston, or New York lol!

You're a lot less likely to be noticed and if you are, well... there's a whole team of superpowered people who will happily zap whoever's hurting you. Now, granted, Static is a much nicer person than Cyclops...

Static's go to tactic of taking to the family of whoever he's trying to help is both effective and heartwarming.
