Happy anniversary Ziolet! Hope it was wonderful💙
P.S. Nori says happy anniversary too and that she’s more than happy to babysit whenever needed.
Violet Responding
Hi!!! Thank you so much for this sweet message! Sorry it took us forever to get to! Please know we truly appreciate the support and well wishes for our family and our relationship anytime! I have a detailed explanation about our anniversary below the cut!
This year our anniversary celebration was one that included the whole family. Zach, myself, Varina, Vera, Victor, and Vallen visited my father’s home state of Virginia, and we stayed at the cabin I inherited from my father throughout the week of our anniversary.
We spent most of our time relaxing at the cabin, but we visited some local sites with the children a couple days that week. Zach was not particularly thrilled about the battlefield visits, but he married a woman who minored in history so he has to deal with it, 😂. He did enjoy learning about the weaponry and technology used in the battles, so that was a plus!
On our anniversary we went to the Shenandoah National Park, and we drove across the Skyline Drive, getting the first glimpse of the fall colors! I included some pictures below! Click for better quality!
You can see Zach's arm in the second to last photo (it's really JIG's dad, but shhh).
We also hiked a bit off the beaten trail and visited a few of my ancestral home sites, getting to see the ruins of my ancestors’ former homes and lives. So, it was a way for me to show the children a connection to their ancestors which is very important to me.
It was a beautiful, clear day, but it was freezing, and the boys and I ended up feeling pretty crummy by the end of the day. As soon as we got home the boys and I took a nap while Zach entertained the girls…or more accurately, they entertained him 😆. Once we had dinner, prepared by Zach and the girls with instructions from Gourmand (thanks, Gaston!), the boys and I were ready to go back to bed.
But, since they didn’t feel well they refused to leave me, and Zach had to share the bed with me and our twin boys on our anniversary night. Which, no surprise, he HATED. By the next day the boys and I felt better, so my great aunt offered to watch all the children at her house that night.
Zach and I were grateful for her offer and took her up on it, giving us some welcomed alone time. We made dinner together, ate by candlelight, reminisced over our many wonderful years together (in marriage, dating, and friendship), and…had some additional fun 😉.
We love our babies, but having a breather is nice. Because the children are ALWAYS with us, for their schooling, and everything… Sure the Zachbots can watch them, and they do a fantastic job of it, I helped programmed their “parenting codes,” I know they are capable…but I’m just a tad more comfortable with having another human around the kiddos in addition to the Zachbots as well.
So, since you are offering Nori, yes…we might take you up on the offer to babysit from time to time, thank you so, so, so much! We know they will be in great hands with you! And thank you Nori, Caity, and everyone for your support of our relationship/family!
