resilient bastard - shellshag - the first time i heard this song was actually at a shellshag/rozwell kid/kimya dawson/ajj show and I'd never heard of shellshag before, and it was one of my most favorite songs and performances I've ever seen. it just makes my heart warm

Hmmm, I'll have to think about how to present that. @friend-crow I forgot to show you my postal altar when you were over! Next time. And you are probably correct. USPS is quick, and I have never understood why it took people so long to ship things, either they just sit on orders or they don't even have the items and drop ship them from somewhere else. But like, if you are going to run a shop where your primary function is to ship things to people you would think they would put a focus on doing it quickly and efficiently. Like Everyone has their issues. I have a friend with health issue who clearly states they can take up to two weeks to ship due to their mobility and health issues. I'm glad that they are upfront about it, but for me, that would be a nonstarter to order from someone who ran a business that way. I threw a fit when I ordered that Shellshag custom record and it took two months from when they printed the shipping label to actually shipping it. Also, the USPS hates that when you wait to ship something.

I my life lots of things can be a mess, but if someone send me their hard earned money for a thing, it's my responsibility to ship it out quickly and efficiently because that's how I would like my orders to be handled by others.

I once had a friend who went to a fancy publishing workshop at Yale or something and we were talking about publishing and distribution and she said they were all about the writing and editing and even the marketing, but were flummoxed by the shipping aspect and that just blows my mind. I guess everyone has their own skills. My idea job would be to do distribution for people who I enjoy what they create, but I want someone else to do all the front end stuff and I just put things in boxes and ship them out.

Related to the discussion I was having with @lazywitchling are there any posts I've made that stuck in your mind that you want me to expand upon? I've got a lot in the google doc for the next zine, but suggestions would be nice too.
