i had a really long day, and i wanted to unwind by revisiting sheep choro. i want to commit to making proper backgrounds more often, so i dug deep and looked to my childhood art inspirations. nintendo has a special way of making beautiful, soft backgrounds. i’ve always kinda been inspired by the richness of the mario universe. so this background was influenced by yoshi’s island in particular. i took some elements from the old sheep choro picture and just let myself go. it was really fun and therapeutic, hahah. i hope i improved a little, and i want to try and keep coloring like this. it’s the loosey-goosey way i liked to paint with oils, and it feels great doing it digitally too.
