usually they're (1) a manual toggle and (2) dependent on SKSE which i just don't feel like setting up on SE and still haven't. for my followers i use AFT's awesome outfit management feature so they thankfully change automatically!

although sometimes after fast traveling, the AFT outfit switch doesn't kick in fast enough, so my followers get aggroed in the nude and end up fighting without armor...

do you have an auto outfit switching mod for your player character or is it one that does it manually? i remember having a simple one for original skyrim that switched between home, city, and outdoor outfits automatically but i think i gave up trying to find a good one for special edition :/ i like having my outfits change but not enough to get something with a manual toggle :')
