SEPTEMBER 2020 GOLD STAR MEDIA SCHEDULES & REVIEW

Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of October 7 KST:

A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly total).

A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on their monthly schedule.

Threads do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.

These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.

Reminder: August schedule posts are due by the end of September 7 KST. Please do not post schedule posts in the fmdschedule tag.

OVERALL COMPANY

As has become standard at this point, all idols under the company will be permitted a short, three-day break over Chuseok unless they have individual schedules (admin note: points claims) conflicting with the vacation. It is a true break, meaning idols may travel as they wish and are capable of doing within such a short time period and, if they don’t have individual schedules, their manager will be off the clock as well.

September 30(-October 2): Chuseok vacation (no activities save for any individual schedules).

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 1

Rehearsals for her concerts get more intense this month, as she’ll be beginning the tour next month. She’ll also be holding two mini fanmeetings on the day of her twelfth debut anniversary where she’ll let in 120 fans drawn from a lottery of her fancafe per time. Since she’s holding concerts next month, the fanmeeting will be more focused on meeting with fans in a more intimate setting and interacting with the celebrity MC than giving more than a handful of performances of old classics. She won’t be performing any of her songs from her latest album at the fanmeeting to save them for her concert. Other than that, she’s given the kind of freedom in her schedules only able to be afforded to someone of her seniority and status in the industry.

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 2

With the turning of the seasons over to fall, the time comes for her to record her next comeback. Her comeback, as has previously been conveyed to her by the company, will be a holiday single release that she’ll be putting out in both Korean and English. Christmas releases in the industry are often hit or miss in popularity and Gold Star hasn’t done them often, but it’s been decided that she fits the image for one well, so she’ll need to go into the recording studio this month to record “Sweater” and its English version.

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 3

He starts off the month by filming the music video for the title track of his English album, as well as live performance videos for his title track with his featuring artist and for his release from earlier this year, “Love Die Young”. Three weeks later, the album is released worldwide and he begins promotions. Though it’s an English album, he’ll be promoting solo on music shows for a month to meet with his Korean fans. To help promote it internationally, though, he’ll be performing a set at a YouTube Music Night event in Seoul and the videos will be uploaded on YouTube shortly after.

Important dates:

September 5: “Congratulations” M/V filming.

September 6: “Congratulations” Live Performance video and “Love Die Young” Live Performance video filming.

September 24: Release of ”Congratulations” and Before We Begin album, music show promotions continue through October 24.

September 26: Performance at YouTube Music Night Seoul.

SILHOUETTE

Preparations for their repackage are more laid back than usual due to the nature of the comeback not being performance heavy and the repackage only including one additional song. This month, they do have fittings for their stage outfits, but the fittings will be shorter than usual since they don’t have to worry too much about the range of movement the outfits offer. Later in the month, the members will go in for a simple photo shoot with Grazia Korea that will be released in their November issue. The photos will be accompanied by an interview, where the members will be asked about passing their tenth anniversary, the success of their last comeback, and their future plans.

September 13: Comeback stage outfit fittings.

September 21: Photo shoot for Grazia Korea’s November issue.

ARIA

Queendom nears its final month of filming next month, so Gold Star have continued to clear out Aria’s schedules to focus on the show. The eventual airing of their “Sixth Sense” cover stage this month brings a surprising amount of criticism among fan communities, largely drummed up by the stark contrast to the image the public is used to from them and for covering a song by their company seniors that’s still freshly released. Management instructs the members not to let that discourage them, though, as they see the Fandora’s Box performance as the perfect chance to show exactly what fans want from them. The group’s main vocal and lead dancer/vocal will be representing the group in the vocal unit and performance unit stages respectively. ORIGIN

The end of “Black Swan” promotions on September 14 only allows a few days before their album release and a brand new round of promotions for “On”. In those few days, the group will once again fly out to the US, this time to New York City, to film a performance in the middle of the night at Grand Central Terminal that will be aired a few days later. They’ll also fit in a few radio interviews while they’re there before they make a quick return to Seoul in order to begin music show promotions once again.

Important dates:

September 14: End of music show promotions.

September 14: Release of “Outro: Ego”.

September 15: Filming of performance on The Tonight Show in Grand Central Terminal in New York, NY, USA (to be aired September 19).

September 18: Release of “On”, music show promotions continue through October 18.

IMPULSE

While the company focuses on the debut preparations for PULS2, the other members of Impulse are offered an extended vacation for Chuseok that they are free to take unless they have individual schedules that will interfere with it. They’re encouraged to take advantage of the break while they can, as they’ll be hosting a fanmeeting before the year comes to a close.

September 20(-October 3): Extended Chuseok vacation (excluding PULS2 unit members).

↳ PULS2

While their group mates are offered vacation, the members of Impulse’s new sub-unit don’t get the same opportunity, as they must continue to work hard preparing for their unit debut. Now that their album is recorded, this month, they’ll learn and practice the choreography for the title track “Focus”, as well as b-sides “Drunk On You”, “Senses”, and “Long Black” in preparation for music show promotions and the showcase tour they’ll be embarking on.

FUSE

"Psycho” is a success, whether that’s because of the time fans of the group were kept waiting or because the song is more fitted to the public’s tastes. Promotions are kept to a minimum for reasons management doesn’t go into depth on, with only one fan sign and no radio show appearances or television appearances beyond music shows, but it doesn’t stop the song from earning praise and several music show wins. Fuse has re-proven their place as a top girl group this time, if anyone has begun to doubt them. Their Chuseok break begins slightly later than everyone else’s on the evening of September 30, but Gold Star will offer them an extension of their break next month to make up for it.

Important dates:

September 12: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.

September 30: End of music show promotions.

ELEMENT

With no comeback yet confirmed internally, the members will take a brief trip to Los Angeles from September 25 to September 28, during which time, they will film a Halloween-themed video with Access Hollywood that will be uploaded next month and they will also film some content for their YouTube channel. During the short time they’re there, they’ll film a video of them taking a guided tour of the best tourist spots in LA and will also be able to explore Los Angeles themselves with self-cams on September 25. On the 26th, they’ll film the Access Hollywood Mukbang video and get time to themselves off-camera. On September 27, they’ll film a vlog of the whole group visiting Universal Studios Hollywood.

FEMME FATALE

Before they hold their fanmeeting next month, the members have to go into fittings for their stage outfits. The stylists will take into consideration some of the members’ preferences due to the more intimate setting of a fanmeeting, but the stylists will still have the final say in what the members wear. The members are also expected to continue rehearsing their solo stages as they began to do last month.

Where Futures Begin

Life used to be simple for you. Peaceful. But the Savior had other plans for you, and in moments, she ruined what you thought was your one shot at happiness. Blinded by anger, you escaped the Mint Eye, but that triggered a series of events that would bring you further into the world of brothers Saeran and Saeyoung. And further into the twisted world of your love for them.

MASTERLIST

The world had grown cruel.

That was the one truth Rika knew to be absolute. Decades ago, it was a different place. The sky was bluer, the grass greener, the people happier.

But the twenty-first century was an era of purpose. Life was dedicated to work and advancement, where people couldn't be troubled with matters trifling as joy.

The Mint Eye was a safe haven from the cruelty of the outside world.

Closed off in the depths of a forest, where the sky couldn't be seen, and the only sign of natural life was the flower garden inside, the people of the Mint Eye could revisit a simpler time—one free from the chains of responsibility that shackled those outside. They lived in peace, wholly content with leading a life devoted to harmony and happiness.

A life devoted to magenta.

Rika had chosen the color carefully; she was acutely aware of its rarity in nature, and that was what made it such an admirable choice. The Mint Eye was everything the world was not. A shelter from time itself, it was too perfect to be natural.

It was mint.

It was magenta.

And yet, (Y/N) has chosen to leave my protection, Rika thought bitterly. How ungrateful.

A part of Rika had known that the other girl, MC, would be gone as fast as she had arrived. That was why she had opted not to waste time throwing the brunette into primary and secondary commitment. (Y/N)'s escape was entirely unexpected, though.

Was she that devastated when Saeran chose MC over her? Rika considered the notion with care. The blonde knew that she had played a critical role in separating the two. Then again, Rika didn't truly consider (Y/N) worthy of Saeran's affections. A woman like MC, someone who came from a respectable background rather than an orphanage and then the streets, was much more fitting for the delicate boy.

It had taken significant work to separate the two, but Saeran had finally given in to what Rika had tried so hard to make obvious. He chose MC. MC over (Y/N).

Rika sighed as she looked at the clock.

Saeran should be there any moment now for their meeting.

Though, with the absence of (Y/N), the boy was growing increasingly unpredictable. Rika had found herself with no other choice but to swap out his usual pills for those soaked in the Elixir. It wasn't enough of a dosage to cause any pain, but it should have been sufficient in keeping Saeran in line when (Y/N) wouldn't do it for him.

Rika glanced down at her nails. Perfectly trimmed and painted, as usual. If V were here, he would have me pose.

Rika frowned at the memory of the man. V had left the Mint Eye without a word, abandoning the young woman and breaking her heart in turn. Yet still, she found herself remembering him and his habits, remembering what he would say at certain things, his old actions seeping into her subconscious to produce thoughts she never authorized.

A knock on the door pulled Rika from her mind.

She straightened her dress, making sure she looked as prophetic as the Savior of the Mint Eye should. After a moment, she called out, "Come in, Ray."

The white-haired boy entered and closed the door behind him, seating himself on the Victorian-style couch he always took. Usually, in Rika's sessions with him, he would immediately begin talking. Something (Y/N) this, (Y/N) that. In truth, if it weren't for Saeran, Rika wouldn't have paid the girl any extra attention. For the past month and a half, though, Saeran had grown quiet.

As he sat across from Rika, for the first time, he said nothing at all, his expression dead.

Rika coughed.

"Do you not have anything noteworthy to report to the Savior, Ray?" Rika kept her tone was calm and inviting as she spoke, making sure she hid her irritance behind a facade of serenity.

"No." Saeran's face was sullen, his expression somehow even darker than it had been when Rika had first been told to take him in.

The blonde sighed, picking herself up off the couch to join Saeran on his, wrapping him into a delicate hug, genuinely trying to comfort him. "Ray," Rika murmured when the boy didn't respond, still staring numbly ahead. "Ray, look at me."

Rika sighed.

"Ray."

No response.

"Ray!"

The boy raised his eyebrows, but said nothing.

Rika took a breath.

"Saeran."

That seemed to shake him. The white-haired boy turned to face Rika, his eyes no longer empty but instead sorrowful, searching for something he couldn't find in Rika's emerald eyes.

Rika turned her head away. After all her years with Saeran in the Mint Eye, she still struggled to meet his gaze when he had that expression on his face. The boy feared her, she knew. After all the pain she had forced him to endure as she tested out Elixir after Elixir on his broken body, he should fear her.

But their history together was too great, too sorrowful, for her to look Saeran in the eyes and lie to him. But the truth could never come out. She had sworn it. And that was one of the few promises she intended to keep.

Saeyoung's eyes had never looked so determined.

"I know you heard me, Rika."

"B-but that's too much of a r-responsibility for me! I can't take care of another human being altogether!" Rika's words were short, the young girl stuttering through the shock. She was twelve. Too young and naive to do what Saeyoung was asking of her.

"You can do it better than me." Saeyoung's lips were set in a hard line, his eyes fierce and golden. They had the same determined glint to them that a king's crown does as he gives an order of utmost importance. "Take care of Saeran for me, Rika. I can't..."

Saeyoung took a breath, pausing before he could grow too emotional. "I can't stand by and watch him grow up in a household like mine. Things are about to get fucked up. Really fucked up. Saeran should at least be safe. You have to promise me that you'll keep him safe."

Rika swallowed, turning to gaze at V. The elder boy had always been a voice of reason in her life. He was the one she turned to whenever she hesitated, his advice always working out for the better. "Rika...I know this is difficult to hear," V murmured softly, pushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear, a loving little gesture established early on in their childhood friendship, "But Saeyoung is right. He's ready to handle what he's about to do...but he can't do it until Saeran is out of the picture. Safe. Only you can offer that kind of shelter."

Rika hesitated, her lip trembling. This wasn't a normal conversation between them. It wasn't a friendly banter with her and V on one side, arguing with Saeyoung and Jumin whilst Saeran watched from afar, sighing. This was important. This was real. This was the future of a human life they were discussing.

"What he's about to do?' Wh-what do you mean, V? What are you going to do, Saeyoung?" Rika's question was innocent enough, but the redhead couldn't meet her eyes as she asked it.

"Saeyoung," She whispered, serious. "What are you going to do?"

Saeyoung looked away, stubborn as usual. That was one thing Rika hated about him—he was thick-headed when it came to situations like the one before them, never willing to rely on others unless it was absolutely necessary. "You...you really need me to do this for you, don't you?" Rika mumbled, coming to terms with the situation before her.

Saeyoung nodded, still not meeting her eyes.

"...Okay, I promise. I'll take Saeran in and keep him safe. But, Saeyoung, you know what he's like. If he thinks you abandoned him, then he'll never forgi—"

"Let him think I abandoned him," Saeyoung said, interrupting her. "After I do this, he's better off without me."

Rika bit her lip.

"What are you going to do?" She turned to V after receiving no response. "Well, V? What could Saeyoung do that's so horrible he doesn't think he's fit to be around his own brother?!"

Even V turned away, mumbling a soft, "It's not my place to say," before backing away.

Rika sighed, a trigger for many more exhales of frustration that would be brought forth by her decision to take Saeran under her wing.

It was worth it, though.

And nearly half a decade later, it still was.

Though for a very different reason.

Rika hadn't expected to form the Mint Eye. She hadn't planned to become the Savior of the broken, bringing salvation to the world one lost soul at a time. But without Saeran, that unexpected future wouldn't have been possible. If not for his acceptance of her idea, and his decision to become Ray, none of her dreams would have been brought to reality.

She had spent nearly half a decade manipulating the boy, but she still did care for him.

"Saeran..." Rika murmured again, pulling back from the embrace. "What can I do to ease your pain, my sweetling?"

She looked at Saeran with motherly eyes. Ever since she assumed the role as his caretaker, even though she was scarcely two years older than him, she had looked after him like the proper mother he never had. Rika felt the connection as well. She found her heart breaking with his, rising with his, beating quicker with his. Even when V had left, utterly shattering Rika's heart, she had still found it sadder when MC had chosen to leave Saeran—she knew what heartbreak felt like, and she hated that Saeran had to go through it as well. "What will make you smile again, my sweet Saeran?"

Saeran opened his mouth to speak, but the sound that came forth seemed inhuman. It was a desperate groan, but whether it was a sound of distress or pain or fear was something Rika could not tell.

"Speak to me, sweetling," Rika cooed, her words gentle as the fingers she stroked Saeran's hair with.

"I...I want..." Saeran was hesitant, tears beginning to form in his eyes.

"Yes?" Rika encouraged, trying to hear what Saeran wanted. She truly did care for the boy. Whatever he wanted, whatever he needed, would be his.

"(Y/N)." He said, his voice soft enough to have been carried away by the gentle breeze brought in by the open window. "I want...(Y/N)."

Rika felt her stomach coil.

So hard.

She had worked so fucking hard to get (Y/N) out of Saeran's head. Why couldn't the boy realize that MC was better suited for him? That (Y/N) was just a pathetic girl from the streets, a leech on the Mint Eye? The girl was undeserving of magenta and undeserving of Saeran, but the boy's heart kept going back to her.

"You don't want MC?" Rika asked cautiously, choosing her words with care.

"I never wanted MC," Saeran mumbled, throwing his head into his hands, "It was (Y/N). It was always (Y/N). And I screwed it up with her so bad, Savior. So bad."

Rika felt her eyes narrow.

"What did you do, Saeran?"

The boy hesitated, but Rika didn't say another word. She knew the truth was eating him up inside, it was only a matter of how long he could hold out. "I..." Saeran hesitated, but Rika was more patient than he was cautious.

"I spoke to her," He mumbled. "She tried to access the Mint Eye's primary database, and so I hacked into the laptop she was using. And I talked to her. And I said such horrible things...I don't know what came over me, Savior!"

Rika's eyes widened. Could it be that the Elixir is having an effect on how he treats (Y/N)? Rika paused for a moment, the notion seeming more and more reasonable with every passing second. Yes...the Elixir instills self-destructive instincts into the mind. It must have manifested itself in Saeran's mind to ruin his relationship with the one girl that, for some stupid reason, he seems to love. No wonder! He was on the Elixir ever since MC joined the Mint Eye...yes, that's why his relationship deteriorated so quickly with (Y/N)! This is perfect!

Rika smirked.

MC was the woman Saeran was destined to be with. It was the girl Rika had chosen for him, and he would fall in love with her, whether he liked it or not.

And it seemed that Rika just realized how.

"Saeran, my sweetling," She murmured, her voice tender. "Would you like to see (Y/N) again? I can make it happen."

Saeran's ears perked up, his entire expression clearing like the clouds after a particularly destructive thunderstorm. "You can? Really, Savior? Oh, thank you so much!"

Rika smiled at Saeran, sweet as ever.

The boy wouldn't understand her reasoning. But MC was his destiny. Rika had decided as much, and as the Savior, her wish was law in the Mint Eye.

Rika made a mental note to double Saeran's medication orders; she'd sneak the Elixir back into his diet until the poor fool had convinced himself once more that he wasn't worthy of (Y/N), that he was in love with MC. Then, when the two met, she would allow the Elixir to deliver the final blow to their relationship, crushing it forever.

Then, even if Saeran realized the truth and tried to go back to (Y/N), it would be too late.

Whether he liked it or not.

a/n: almost all of the song titles come from part names of daisies parts lol and I also wrote this super late last night but the wifi stopped working as I tried to upload it so sorry for how... sleep deprived I come across in this lmaooo x

tracklist

1. Intro: Spring - KTH = Winter Bear - V

From the very first mixtape skit, Tae suggested having Intro: Spring and Outro: Summer so y’all know I had to call the intro Intro: Spring lol. I based this one off Winter Bear bc even though Winter Bear is about... a winter bear (lmao), I thought it’d be cute to have the message of this song as even though it’s spring, the singer still loves the person they fell in love with during the winter (and winter doesn’t necessarily refer to the season, but maybe a dark time in the singer’s life).

2. Mayday - KTH & JJK = Lay Me Down - Sam Smith & John Legend

So the reason I chose this song is that it’s quite a sad and dark love song and rather than seeing it as an unrequited love song (which is what it is), I see it as more a doomed love song. From the point of view of the singer, they see the relationship as something amazing and beautiful and something they want, but there are doubts/barriers in the way. This could be reflective of how both Tae and JK initially saw their relationships with Chae and Lisa due to the whole idol dating thing, or maybe even their past with sleeping around.

3. Injustice - Jisoo & Jennie = Extraordinary - Clean Bandit & Sharna Bass

Again, this is another song about loving someone, but there are issues/doubts/barriers in the relationship. This again could be reflective of doubts that Jisoo and Jennie both had about Jin and Joon at the beginning of their attractions to one another/relationships.

4. Psychic - KNJ & Jennie = Fine Line - Mabel & Not3s

This song is all about how they both have feelings for each other, but he’s more open about his towards her. Jennie is reluctant but feels like there is a very fine line (ba dum tsh) between their relationship being casual and her falling head over heels for him.

5. Missing Out - MYG, JHS & Lisa = Take It Or Leave It - Rae Sremmurd

Now I really really love this song bc it gives me major ‘I really like you and i’m trying my best to act like I don’t really care whether you like me or not but I really do and I’m not a good actor so you already know’ vibes. It’s a real laidback and chill ‘end-of-the-night-when-everyone’s-high’ kinda song and I love it.

6. Outings - MYG, JHS, PJM & JJK = New Flame - Chris Brown, Usher & Rick Ross

I chose this song bc it talks about finding love in an unlikely place; the club. In Outings, the boys sing/rap about finding love in a different unlikely place; on tour. It’s so hectic and busy that you wouldn’t think there’d be any time, but it happened regardless.

7. Possessed - JHS, Jennie & y/n = All My Friends - Snakehips, Tinashe & Chance The Rapper

This song is the ultimate introvert anthem and talks about the idol lifestyle for idols that don’t like the idol lifestyle. y/n wasn’t into all that getting high and drunk and sleeping around kinda thing and this song reflects that mentality, and the mentality of the boys when they used to do that shit.

8. Parents - KSJ, Jisoo & JJK = Boyfriend - Ariana Grande & Social House

This song just talks about how Jin, JK and Jisoo (and Lisa) are in relationships where they really like the other person and they don’t want them with anybody else, but they’re also not quite ready to commit and put a label on it or make it official just yet.

9. Booking Flights - KSJ, JHS, Jisoo, KNJ & Jennie = Finders Keepers - Mabel & Kojo Funds

This song is about how you will not catch Jin, Jisoo, Joon or Jennie booking a flight to see the other person they’re in a relationship with; they’re not ready for that yet and they’d prefer to keep it casual and make the most of the time they do have together before becoming serious.

9.5. Skit: Brainstorm Pt. IIIII - All

This is literally just them lot brainstorming and i’m so sorry but I am too tired to come up with what they say so you can just make it up yourselves

10. Really - Girls (Blackpink Cover)

This song is a little bit of turning point; it’s where the girls have decided that ‘okay, I like you and I’m ready for us to be something more; if you feel the same way, let me know’. This is where the girls are addressing their feelings and wanting the same from the boys.

11. Reunion - PJM & y/n = Learn To Love Again - Lawson

This song is y/n and Jimin talking about how they know that they are meant for each other bc of the fact that they’ve been able to learn to love each other again and forgive each other, despite everything that happened between them; it’s an admittance of how deep their feelings for each other really go.

12. Enjoy - Lisa & JJK = Fetish - Selena Gomez & Gucci Mane

This song is about how JK and Lisa are feeling each other in a sexual way and no matter how they’ve tried to repress their feelings, they want the other; not just in a sexual relationship but in an actual relationship too (and they’re both aware of the other’s feelings). It also talks about how they don’t blame the other for liking them so a lil bit of self love in there too.

13. Blushing - Chae = Lover - Taylor Swift

Camille enjoys barre class, Pilates and spinning. Drake prefers just sweating it out in the gym, but if it’s a sunny day, he will hike up the mountains. He feels free when he is high up, away from civilisation.

They both watch NFL. Camille supports the Giants, Drake obviously supports the Texans. They host Superbowl at their house every year, which is always fun as they get really into it, with bets and hotdogs and whiskey. Hana and Maxwell don’t understand the rules, Liam is too busy checking his work emails and Olivia gets bored but they enjoy the entertainment.

Their first dance was at a ball in court and both wanted the other but couldn’t do anything about it. For Drake, that first dance was torture as he held her close, wishing he could kiss her.

Suspicious and weird manipulation with having them not care about whether or not people use their real name or the name Greg gave them to getting very angry with people calling them by her real name over his nickname. Also, on a side note, they say they hate their unisex name but then later comes out as trans which I believe was one of the reasons people doubt their authenticity:

Head canons for your skyrim ocs 😊❤

hello!! I'm so happy you want to hear about my ocs! I must warn, however, that the context in which I imagine them is still undefined, bc I started creating them inspired by a post from another skyrim blogger, that imagined an AU where the real dragonborn died at Helgen and their soul had to be split, therefore creating many "dragonborns"; this idea originally belongs to @najimiosana, so I want to credit them. the context in which I developed my ocs merely takes inspiration from the original poster.

however, even if not in that context, there are some things I can tell you:

they are a group of ten, each belonging to one of the playable races in TES V.

The oldest is Vingarion, an Altmer bard (48); the youngest is probably Seren, a redguard warrior in-training (24).

They would meet and eventually work together during the events of TES V: Skyrim (whether as collective ldbs or something different);

I want to focus principally on how would they work together and eventually form relationships considering their different personalities and baggage.

Alessia (age undefined), Juillen (38) and Vingarion are mages; Alessia has mainly studied the schools of Alteration and Restoration, and has created some spells that change her appearance and ease her dysphoria/allow her to affirm her gender identity. She's still perfecting her combat-based magic, which is more of Juillen's speciality.

Hakon (34), Seren and Glasha (39) favor weapons - war axes or greatswords (Hakon), one-handed swords and shield or dual wielding lighter weight blades (Seren), warhammers or battleaxes (Glasha).

Ardriel (37) strikes me as the stealth archer™️, occasionally using one handed weapons in close combat; Hassiri (30) also prefers a stealth approach first, and in close combat might use his claws instead of weapons; Drujja (age undefined) is still perfecting her bow and arrow skills, and in close combat might dual wield sharp daggers; finally, Nidara (41) often uses the stealth element in her favor, daggers and smaller blades being her favorite in combat; occasionally, she might use fire based combat magic.

Although she has traveled and studied in western Cyrodiil for some of her young adult years, Alessia is originally from the Nibenay region, in Eastern Cyrodiil.

these are some headcanons I've been working on for now. still need to study the lore of each "country" in Tamriel to better develop their backstories and how do they travel to Skyrim.

All of our bodies are fucking fine the way they are. I hope one day it will be easy for all of us to look at ourselves in the mirror and love what we see, because we're looking at us. And our bodies hold all our organs responsible to keep this unique human being alive. This human being that is loved, needed, wanted in this earth. The world wouldn't be the same without this human being, that we see when we look in the mirror.

Disclaimer: I am a person with anxiety, and I decided to write this oneshot after an anxiety attack I had recently. I don't want to romanticize anxiety, or sugarcoat the reality of how it really affects us; what I want is to put my feelings to paper (screen, wtv) as a way to cope with my struggles. Anxiety is NOT solved with an hug from your crush, it is something that must be continuously treated, with help from a therapist. The support of your loved ones is definitely important, and that's what this oneshot is about, but don't forget that mental health issues like this require professional help and treatment, and that healing is not a linear process, but a continuous journey.

Summary: You have an anxiety attack during a Pogue's party, and JJ, your (not really) unrequited crush stays with you throughout it.

Loud music, strong drinks, euphoric people messing around - that's what a typical Pogue party looks like. That's what tonight was all about. An abundance of young people, pogues and kooks alike, gathered around the front of John B's house, everyone with a cup on their hand, you included.

You didn't really like the taste of beer, it was too sour for you, but you often drank so you would fit in - you'd never admit this, of course. Kiara always assured you that you didn't have to drink if you didn't want to, you should never do anything out of pressure. You understood that, you knew your friends wouldn't mock you if you didn't drink, but a feeling of invisible peer pressure still haunted you during those parties, where not everyone was your friend, not everyone cared if you were uncomfortable with the noise or the alcohol. So, you'd drink. You'd try to blend in, to relax, to ignore all those feelings that hurted you, haunted you.

Tonight, you couldn't do it.

It had been a rough day before the party started, and the stress of this party environment was just strengthening those heart-wrenching thoughts and feelings. It was like there was no air left to breathe, your body was clenching around itself and you felt like you would explode. As your vision got foggy and the floor escaped your feet, you ran away into John B's house and looked for a place to lay down and escape that awful feeling.

There was a spare room, kind of a guest room where you always stayed when you stayed for the night. As you made your way into the room, people couldn't help but stare, some of them worried they saw a person looking so distressed. You ignored it all, for all you needed was to close that door and lay down in the comfortable bed. Just as you did it, you closed your eyes, allowing all of the tears to leave your eyes. It hurted inside, but it also freed you from the pain. There was peace in letting your tears run free, until there wasn't anything else to cry about.

"Y/N?" you heard Kiara knocking on the door. You had no energy to talk, but you managed to answer her.

"I'm in here."

"Are you OK?" she asked "You disappeared out of nowhere, everyone is worried about you."

Everyone? You highly doubted it. Out of everyone who was at that party, your friends were John B, ever since you two were very young, and Kiara, since you've always been classmates. Throught them you've also became friends with Pope, a very nice guy and the responsible one of the bunch, Sarah, the kook girl with a pogue heart after falling in love with John B... And JJ. Young, wild and free JJ, whose snarky smile and ocean eyes had got you smitten a long time ago. You kept your feelings a secret from anyone you knew, however, since something inside you, a gut-wrenching voice, told you repeatedly that he saw you as nothing more than a friend. You've tried to get over your crush, but these feelings wouldn't leave you. They stood strong and stubborn against the voice of your insecurities that told them to give up.

Tears kept rolling down your face as the face of the golden haired guy invaded your mind. Now that was no place, no time to think about him. A one-sided crush was the last thing you wanted to occupy your head as you tried to battle an anxious episode. Not another thing to be sad, worried, anxious about.

"For fucks sake, now is not the time!" you heard Kiara yelling, but she wasn't talking to you. Another voice reached your ears, unmistakable.

"Why not? I wanna see her" JJ's assertive voice shook your heartbeat.

"She doesn't sound OK, JJ" Kiara insisted "She's definitely not in the mood to party, let her rest."

"I'm not going back to the party, Kie. I'm staying here with her."

Having said this, the door opened and you lifted your head up to see JJ and Kiara walking into the room. You hoped they couldn't hear the beating of your heart, faster than light.

"Y/N" he called you. You tried to look him in the eyes, but you didn't want him to see your tears. Too late.

"Y/N!" they both approached you.

"I told you she needed to rest!" Kiara scolded JJ, before turning to you "I'm sorry-"

"It's alright" your voice was frail. You looked up, both your friends were obviously worried.

"Are you sure?" Kiara asked. Your eyes met JJ's, a part of wanted to scream. You had heard him saying he wanted to stay with you. And god, did you want that too. But at the same time, you were scared. You shouldn't lean on an unlikely hope that maybe, just maybe he could feel about you the way you felt about him. Yet another instance of wishful thinking, no solid truth behind it. Fuel to those oppressive, heart-shattering feelings.

"I want to stay here. Go have fun, you two" you told them. Kiara nodded, assuring you you could call her should you need anything. She went back outside, but JJ didn't move. The usually laid back, charismatic guy now looked so shy before your eyes.

"Y/N" he called.

"Yes?"

He held his breath.

"Do you want company?"

It caught you off-guard. You blinked, in disbelief.

"What?"

"It's... I'm, sorry, it's fine if you want to be alone" he stuttered. Your gaze couldn't leave his, as you took a step in the front.

"I don't want to be alone" you said "But I don't want to hold you back either."

JJ waved his head in disagreement.

"You're not holding me back. I want to stay here with you, if you want me to."

You tried to ignore your heart nearly jumping out of your chest as you heard him. Conflicted between your small hope and what was real, so you thought, you looked him in the eyes and spoke.

"I would like you to stay here."

He nodded, approaching you. He smelled like the ocean waves clashing against the rocks and sand, a long day at the beach, and maybe a little bit like weed. Still, his presence filled you, and you couldn't help but lean on to hug him. You shyly wrapped your arms around him, and a wight was lifted off your chest when he hugged you back, his arms holding you tight against his body. His hands running through your head, soothing you as your tears ran free.

"Hush now, Y/N" his voice sounded deeper than usual, but caring. You wanted to cry even more, not out of pain but out of commotion.

"Why does this has to happen to me?" you cried "Why am I like this?"

"It is not your fault, Y/N. We all have our inner demons, it's not always an easy battle to fight" he answered, pressing his lips softly against your forehead. You melted into that gesture, a cathartic moment when your wounds were attended to, mended with his touch. It still hurted, but in that touch there was hope that the best was yet to come.

"My demons are such motherfuckers" you said, a small laugh leaving your throat. You smiled as you heard him laughing too.

"But they are no match for you" JJ kissed your forehead lightly again "They are no match for us."

"Us?" you looked up to meet his eyes again. He pulled you closer, until your noses touched.

"Us, because I'm here for you" he answered, smiling "Maybe I haven't showed it, but you are very special to me, Y/N. I like you a lot."

You must have misheard it. Misunderstood it. Could JJ feel the same way about you as you did about him? It seemed so unreal. Too good to be true.

"Are you serious?" you whispered lowly, the thought of stealing a kiss from his lips never leaving your mind. He was so close you could almost feel the warmth of his mouth in your skin. That's when you realize, his lips rest in near the corner of your mouth.

"I am" he answered and you couldn't hold yourself anymore. You pressed your lips against his, briefly kissing him, and pulled away for a moment.

"Is this okay?" the question leaves your mouth. You look at his face and his eyes shine before you.

"Y/N..." he mumbled, but stopped at a loss of words. Instead, he pulled you for a kiss. You melted into him as his lips brushed against yours, soft at first but progressively becoming more eager.

"I have been wanting to do this for so long" he confessed, his lips still lingering on yours.

"So have I..." it was your turn to confess. It still felt so odd that it was really happening, that the guy you were sure didn't have any feelings for you had kissed you. It seemed to good to be true. But as your hands wandered from his shoulders to his face, and he smiled, playing with your hair, you knew it was real.

The party would go on through the night, but you still didn't want to go back. Instead, you fell on the bed, relaxing with JJ by your side. He held you in his arms, soothing your inner turmoil, a reminder that no storm lasted forever. That even when it didn't seem like it, there was hope. There was always hope.

1. Others' innocence can make us feel more alive and cleanly but we have sooner or later to 'cleanse the inside of your own cup' (Jesus).

2. I miss 'sis.' That's all. I'm not married at 36.5 but someone did say, 'as a sister.'

3. I listened to Sowon's cover of 'Happy' and wrote a letter to Taeyeon on Instagram that she said something nice to.

4. I have several wishes pace Pope Francis' 'Come Let Us Dream' in the Covid era. One of these is to move to Korea of course again, another to move to LA, and another to publish under the imprint of (Mrs.) Catherine Cho's literary imprint as 'Inferno' was terrifying to me in a good way and I too encountered both racism, antagonism towards introverts and quiet people, warehousing by TV, and other forms of evil and crime in the mental healthcare system from people who just want money or, worse in a way, fun and PRIDE. I also think now that the mental healthcare system in Milwaukee Conuty was designed to give nursing school graduates either an 'easy money' job or exposure to a new Nazi-like system pace abortion-culture under the Democratic Party (including at least one Asian sadly; Andrew Yang), in which the mentally abnormal are considered second-class citizens if not Hitlerian 'life unworthy of life.' My parents are Democrats incidentally and fully support this.

5. I am pro-life 100%; I was going to be aborted and my biological 'father in law' still wants to post-partum-abort me; I could describe the spiritual realization but it's anatomical as well as literally electric. I hope and pray the pro-life movement will be able to present a living paradigm whereby the value of orphan life can be demonstrated and God glorifide in a literal 'spirit of adoption' or at least a very good orphanage. This has been part of my dream or 'ghost' since at least 2010.

6. I was driving to see Bethlehem Baptist Church + Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis and felt a crucifying energy from the church; I also thought about Monica and the 'white garments' of righteousness and covered sin ('white as snow' - Isaiah).

I don't want to 'nuke the Johnston clan' but as I was brutally attacked by both my parents in a campaign involving widespread exaggeration lying to both biomedical professionals / sci-tech establishment as well as civil authority (police) I have written some notes and passages of a 'purple and gold' project, 'Johnston Family Promises; or How Easter Became April Fools,' which could be characterized as a parody of self-destruction, specifically self-post-partum-abortion by reversing the fact that medical doctor brain trust thought I'd be born on April Fool's but was actually born on Easter Sunday in Los Angeles, CA.

8. I just want a future at this point however as my biological 'family' turned violently against me and I am in the position of 'gathering in the summer' (Proverbs).

9. I thought, 'an authentic love'... I love Changrae Lee also but it took me a long time to understand the spiritual 'Requiem' sense of his best book, by far, 'The Surrendered.' I gave the wrong things to the wrong people and made them worse; I expect to be judged by Moses as well as my former teacher-trainers and mentors for being 's/Sensei' who failed his students in both senses of fail (gave them F's and failed to teach them things that made them 'better'). It was a traumatic experience that made me feel demoted from EdAdmin that I had just been offered to wanting to assist-teach K4 or Spec/ExcepEd. That's what you get for 'adult education' / being honest with Boomers about your thoughts, feelings, and decades of study. I think Confuciu would say you can't teach constructively who have no sense of shame (old American whites), and moreover participate in a rape-culture including both literal rape, sex-traficking, university campus-culture, porneia,

13. I haven't yet had an EKG but could have experienced acute idiopathic cardiac distress from the Pfizer vaccine since too many beautiful women ages 11-80 all love me. I thought a while back at 36, 'How to use my last half of my life.' Then suddenly with pericardial effusion on my mind I thought, 'What to do with 3 months to 2.8 years.' I wanted to go to Korea; I saw a Servants of Christ video where she was in Korea walking by a river to 'I Need Thee Every Hour' a Christian hymn to Jesus about absolute dependency, 'most precious Lord.' I remembered Psalm 23 and a time I just wanted to be buried in a certain cemetery in Incheon. Some other things happened involving my marital future, 'Skinship,' but now I am hoping for at least 5-10 years as the acute issues have mostly settled down and I am a clever self-dietician. Honestly though with the state of healthcare in Wisconsin I thought about purchasing a needle myself for a pericardocentesis to drain the H2O.

14. I have one writing-project I might not complete but I feel a solid start that could / should be published about abortion-culture and based on 'Love in Color,' a popular song by a no-longer-pop-idol.

15. I still think about expositing American literature but suddenly 'The Old New World' means more to me; the old Midwestern novel, 'Winterlight,' 'My Soul at Night.' And, 'The Magnificent Ambersons,' destined love. I had a student in Korea who would be the card-carrying image of Lucy Morgan if they adapted it in addition to Mark Helprin's 'In Sunlight and in Shadow.'

16. I am (too?) afraid of the Cross of Gold. America getting rich. China's 'moderately prosperous nation' i.e. Get Middle Class or Die (and Take World w/ Us) Tryinng.' I want to be poor and poor-in-spirit except that I love some people who could use the money. That is part of why I think about Michael B. Kim.

17. I like green peas, peanut butter, and blueberries.

18. The best audiobook I read lately is almost holy to me, 'Inferno' by Catherine Cho but 'Forgotten God' by Francis Chan is also incredible. I listen to it while sleeping on audio and it always seems to wake me up at the perfect moment.

19. I finally figured out an 'audience' as well. If I could finally write a couple novels with a 'professional' utterance in addition to 'Love in Color' my 'caritas et amor' homage to a beautiful song and also something on the Covid era and old and young. Like Pastor John MacArthur, or with him / following him I just feel like the whole point of Covid was to give people a chance to do better by / with kids. 'We plant the trees; our children enjoy the shade' - a Chinese proverb that the orthodox preacher / shepherd John MacArthur cites nonetheless. The American Families Plan. Also even more (AUTHENTIC, non-guru-guff, non-fetishistic, non-trends-based) professionalization and humane policing and children's rights within the South Korean public and private schooling sectors.

20. I had one grand project as well called 'The Distant Lights of Seoul' that is kind of my take on 'In Sunlight and in Shadow' but it evolved in to something more personal that that's all... a trip I thought of taking, in the days when I was unsure whether to be the new or old.

21. I remember the most anguished summer of my life till now was 2003. 'Deep Inside of You' by 3EB. 'I would change myself if I could / I would walk with my people if I could find them / and I'd say I'm sorry to you.' Coincidentally I went on an 'icy-hot' date with a hyper-beautiful woman at the cafe-bar where Jenkins wrote 'Motorcycle Driveby.'

22. I made a 'partial audiobook' of the early Psalms - particularly 5, about God defending - and had a beautiful experience like reading to children.

23. I don't want to broaden myself out too much physically or experientially; I'm afraid of becoming mentally American. 'Leaving Babylon, Leaving America, Leaving Milwaukee, Leaving.' My homage to Madison Kwon Eunbi as well, theme-music 'Eraser.' But I have to be a better man to approach my new _.

My original 'Korea project' was called 'Transferring to Line Zero' and like many Millennial writers in 2010 I tried to sound like a Haruki Murakami narrator but my experience turned out to be more like Kazuo Ishiguro, Marcel Proust. I aimed for whisky but got wine. I wish I could write this as I know for whom. IDK if anyone cares though as Millennials almost all had 'these.' I just wish I could make something of it instead of seeming like 'Acute Fangirl's No. 1 Fanboy.' There wasn't a 'zero.'

25. I had a crush on Dreamcatcher JiU 'Lily Kim' I saw once in Chicago - 'prettier in real life' is a good way to zonk people out into falling in love with a picture - but I saw a picture of her in traditional Joseon garment and just thought, 'cordial neighbor.' That's all.

26. I used to write 'nuke Harvard' self-hyper-fanfiction about me v. the more customary winners and my ideal project is 'The Chinaman (or Chinese Poet) at American-Korean Thanksgiving.'

And when we are old it won't necessarily get easier or fall into place or smooth into bonhomie or grow delicate as papery exquisite autumn leaves like the face of Jennifer Aniston and sometimes at the gym my smaller shoulder-muscles push harder but they remind me in this cute, precious way of some kind knowing amid Cross and sword that ever valor is a risk and God has got his hour writ. I thought that by now I would know what it's like to be one flesh with a wife, to watch a daughter practicing pianoforte, play catch with a son in the yard of a house by New Jersey reedy ponds. That dream began in 1994 and there it stays, between the 'cello-clabbered music-room and gildered auditorium and still, in these institutions, nowhere to confess my love, nowhere to begin, just papers to plan on or wise. I used to love book-reviews, the language of dictionaries that could seem to get life so right, "Validity in Interpretation," the days when newspapers seemed to love me more than my own teachers, Colossians 4:6, editing sprinkled with salt, giving reason for hope, appropriate, apt, jeongdokhada. They get old and old and much is made of the things we can experience; sometimes I think that my dear friend quit Samsung too soon to know how to build his own team and I quit at least three jobs too soon and didn't stay in hot pursuit and now feel almost as if only my thoughts are as brightly alive with a love-light as your face once was. I get so lost at shopping malls, drowning; I don't get what anyone is up to. There was a Monsignor who composed or redacted this immense ethnography of all Korea but it must have broken his heart too, man who never took a wife, knitting red, his memory, the kind of person who arrives as I, watching Pompeo et al, in the hope of a benevolent ruler both forever and for the time being too... My friend used to say I could lead but I couldn't even shut down the snark-machine and Reddit had a field day with me and honestly maybe I've never loved anyone adequately. Let's be young a while more and though I didn't like this as a kid we can talk to the TV like at my grandparents' house long ago and again born on the new day, maybe we'll spend some time married.

Diagnosing Depression in People with Autism: A Guest Blog Post from SPARK - Part 1

As a young child with autism, Ben had trouble putting his feelings into words, except when he was angry. During one outburst, he told his mother he didn’t want to live. Although she took him to mental health providers, they focused on treating him for anxiety, rather than depression.

Ben is now 20. The pandemic turned his world upside down to the point where he attempted suicide. It was only at this point that Ben finally received a formal diagnosis of and treatment for major depression.

He is not alone. People who have autism are four times more likely to experience depression during their lifetime than the general population, according to a 2019 analysis of many studies. In fact, about 40 percent of autistic adults, and 8 percent of youth, have had depression.1

Adults on the autism spectrum were five times more likely to attempt suicide than the general population, according to research from Kaiser Permanente Northern California. And, where the numbers are truly telling, almost half of those people who tried to take their lives had not been diagnosed with depression before their attempt.2

Depression is one of the more serious conditions often found in people who have autism. Unfortunately, it is also often misunderstood or even missed by families, caregivers, or doctors.

Is it Depression or Autism?

The symptoms of depression may be harder to recognize in people on the spectrum. Sometimes that’s because “high-profile problems,” such as aggression and self-injury, draw doctors’ attention away from depression and anxiety, according to some researchers.3

Other times, the signs of depression may be mistaken for autism itself. Although depression and autism are very different, some symptoms may be found in both conditions, explains Rowan University autism and depression research psychologist Katherine Gotham, Ph.D.

These overlapping traits include lack of interest in socializing, sleep problems, trouble concentrating, and having an emotionless facial expression and monotone voice.4-6 And sometimes, symptoms of depression may differ from textbook examples. Rather than looking tired and sad, a depressed person who has autism may be irritable or agitated, or have emotional outbursts, according to research.3,5,7

Unfortunately, there are no lab tests or scans for depression. Doctors typically rely on a patient’s ability to describe his feelings. That’s a heavy burden for people whose autism impairs their ability to communicate through words, facial expressions, and body language.

Children and teens may not be able to label their feelings as guilt or worthlessness, some of the words doctors are looking for when considering depression.7 Even adults who speak fluently may struggle to identify their moods or emotions, a condition called alexithymia.8

The Lens of Depression

If we look at Ben through the lens of depression, a nuanced story will emerge. When he said that he did not want to live – a warning sign – a psychologist did not think he was seriously depressed. The reason? Ben also reported that he needed to meet some fellow students to finish a project. Because of this additional information, “they said he does not fit the profile of someone who’s depressed.”

But what if his desire to follow rules, a common trait of autism, or his perfectionism could also explain his concern about the project? Unfortunately, because Ben earned good grades, health care providers seemed to overlook his depressed feelings. The good news is that researchers are exploring ways to improve doctors’ ability to diagnose depression in those with autism.

When Should You Suspect Depression in Someone with Autism?

Doctors and researchers agree that it is important to look for changes in someone’s sleep and eating habits, in their interests, and their irritability or agitation levels. This is crucial, particularly if the person cannot describe their feelings. Doctors may rely on information from relatives or others about such changes when evaluating someone with autism.

“I think initially we were hypothesizing that depression might really look different in people with autism,” Gotham says. “What we have found so far is that depression looks different in some people with autism. But it looks a lot like the depression that we know, in a lot of people on the spectrum.

Depression Risks from Childhood through Adulthood

Who is more likely to experience depression? According to research, risks include:

A family history of depression or bipolar disorder, which may have existed before a parent had a child with a disability 5,10

Experiencing trauma, including bullying 11,12

Being verbal and having at least average intelligence 10,13-16

In children and teens, having anxiety or another psychiatric condition10

Being older.

One’s risk for depression rises as they move from childhood to adulthood, whether they have autism or not, Gotham says. “At each stage of life – childhood, adolescence, and adulthood – people on the autism spectrum appear to be at a greater risk for depression compared to the general population,” she says.

One stage, the transition to adulthood, poses a particular challenge for people who have autism, with stresses that may increase the risk of depression, says Dr. Robert Wisner-Carlson, Robert Wisner-Carlson, chief of the Autism and Neurodevelopmental Outpatient Program at Sheppard Pratt, a mental and behavioral health system in Maryland.

Students with autism often receive an array of services through their public schools. But when they graduate, usually between ages 18 and 21, they lose school services, such as speech therapy, social skills instruction, and psychological help. They may not qualify for help under the adult disability system. Even if they do qualify, they may have to wait a long time to receive services. The sudden loss of services “can be a huge jolt,” says Wisner-Carlson, like “falling off a cliff.”

Other factors can influence risk. Families of people who have autism seem more likely to have a history of depression and bipolar disorder, Wisner-Carlson says. “The genetic studies of psychiatric illness and autism show a lot of genetic markers that overlap.” And other factors play a part, too. Research shows that children who have autism are bullied at a higher rate than other children.17 Bullying is linked to depression in typically-developing teenagers, and one study found psychiatric effects from bullying into adulthood.18,19

Some aspects of autism itself may add to depression. For example, rumination – repeatedly thinking about things that upset you – is a risk factor for depression in the general population. People with autism have repetitive motions and obsessive interests, which may be related to rumination.20,21 Another study found a link between depression and the planning and organizational problems often experienced by people who have autism.22

The risk for depression is not spread evenly across the spectrum however. People who are verbal and don’t have an intellectual disability are more likely to be diagnosed with depression.

Some wonder if depression appears to be more common in verbal people because it’s easier to diagnose and research them. “How do you identify trauma or depression in someone who’s nonspeaking or has very low communication skills?” asks social worker Dena Gassner, an autistic member of the SPARK Community Advisory Council. But, she warns, “The illusion is thinking those are the only people we’re struggling to identify.” Even verbal people may escape diagnosis, she says.

Clearly there is still a lot that needs to be learned about properly diagnosing depression in those with autism.

I knew this was coming. I knew and I still wasn’t prepared for how long it is TuT I’m assuming it’s the FFXV, as well, since we’re on that train~Under a read more cause.. it’s long..

1: What’s your OCs favorite color?

~~ Kylia doesn’t really have a favorite color; she enjoys pretty much all of them. However, she is drawn more frequently to darker colors, such as charcoal grey, navy, maroons. If she absolutely had to pick, it would be a midnight blue shade.

2: Where does your OC work?

~~ Work??? She doesn’t exactly work too much, seeing as she’s the crown Princess of Lucis. However, locations would be the Citadel or the palace most often.

3: What’s your OCs favorite food?

~~ She absolutely adores spicy foods over most others. A close second would be creamier pasta dishes such as Caem Shrimp Scampi or Creamy Cockatrice over Angel Hair. In general she really enjoys food, but those things she prefers the most.

4: Does your OC prefer paper or plastic?

~~ She will always choose paper over plastic if given the option, as she’s very passionate about environmental efforts.

Bonus: She checks all the packaging and product labels for things she uses to make sure she recycles what she can. She is currently in the middle of establishing an environmental program to keep Lucis and its coastlines clean.

5: How old is your OC?

~~ Pre-fall, she is 19 years old, just on the edge of turning 20. She was conceived not long after Noctis was born; if someone didn’t know her, they would think she was older by how mature she is for her age.

6: Does your OC have any supernatural powers?

~~ She can do everything like her brother: warp ability (though she’s still working on it; currently it makes her feel a bit sick after six or seven attempts), weapon summoning (though she never uses it outside of training), and the ability to wear the Ring of the Lucii. However, while she can wear it without any harm to herself, she isn’t able to harness its power. Whether she will with time is unknown.

7: Is your OC in a relationship?

~~ By normal standards, no. However, she is arranged to be married to the Prince of Tenebrae, Ravus Nox Fleuret. She has no negative feelings on the matter, and is actually somewhat pleased and happy to be marrying the Prince (it makes it easier that they already know eachother, she muses). While she wouldn’t have planned that for herself, she is still content with the decision.

Another bonus: When she was 16, she had a secret and brief (as in 7 months) long relationship with Nyx Ulric [this is based on the common headcannon that during Kingsglaive Nyx is about 25 or 26]. The whole thing was rather fast, but they both felt very passionately for each other. They ended it, though, for a few different reasons, but still remain very close friends to this day.

8: What are some of your OCs strengths?

~~ Though she may not look it, for her stature she is rather strong (all of her training has paid off greatly). She is rather fast, and she is quite good at hiding in places. She has an excellent long-term memory, recalling things in the distant past with ease. She considers herself to be very skilled with her lance and circle blades, but she wishes to one day wield a sword. She has excellent natural handwriting, but she doesn’t really see it. She has quick wit and is kind to a fault, causing her to be a very forgiving and trusting individual.

9: What are some of your OCs weaknesses?

~~ Many of her strengths are some her biggest weaknesses as well; she was raised very sheltered, so she hasn’t had many of the experiences other people her age have had. While her long-term memory is impeccable, her short-term memory is…. well, not. She is quite stubborn, and has a tendency to act without thinking in times of great emotional stress. She doesn’t have the best control of her emotions. Like her brother, she can forget who is she is to the people of Lucis, acting much unlike a princess at times, often doing things that most people wouldn’t blink an eye at (but when you’re the princess, sometimes that shit doesn’t fly). While she is stupidly kind and generous, she does have her moments of disdain, bringing out her sharp tongue and sarcastic behavior. Her forgiving and trusting nature can make her be taken advantage of. She has social and generalized anxiety, which she tries to keep hidden and taken care of [the only people who know are her father, Trinity, Noctis, Nyx, and Ignis]. She is ridiculously hopeless around men she finds attractive; she becomes a blabbering, blushing mess and has once or twice had miniature fainting spells from not being able to handle herself around them *cue Ignis anywhere near her*

10: What is your OCs favorite outfit?

~~ When she isn’t dressed in lavish ball gowns and formal business wear for meeting various dignitaries, she enjoys wearing whatever either makes her most comfortable or feel good and confident. So that’s either loungewear or a long ombre dress, which many common people would almost call a formal gown.

11: What animal does your OC relate to?

~~ Kylia is an avid animal lover (minus most rodents), but has never really tried or thought about what her spirit animal would be, though many around her have likened her to a doe.

12: Is your OC sexually active?

~~ Depends what you consider sexually active. Is it with another person? No. By herself? Sometimes. She has very little experience with sex, as she was raised very sheltered and taught to save herself for her future husband. She knows the basics of it, and how to stay safe (all from books that Trinity [ @trinitythatcher ‘s OC] lent her), but she has never had any intercourse with anyone, her virginity still in tact. The most that has ever happened with her has been hands and fingers.

Another another bonus (mentions of NSFW): While she has thus far saved herself for marriage, she personally wouldn’t mind if she lost her V-card to someone she truly loved, and who she was sure loved her back. Back when her and Nyx were dating, the furthest they got was him fingering her and blessing her with those magical digits of his, his hand just slipping into her panties beneath her dress on her 17th birthday, to which she eagerly returned with a handjob. That was her very first orgasm, and she was and still is very grateful to him for coaxing her through it with gentle words and kisses.

13: What is your OCs earliest memory?

~~ Her and Noctis’ mother died when she was 5 years old. Despite her dying with Kylia so young, Kylia has a very vivid memory of her mother brushing her hair and humming gentle melodies while Noctis and her colored on her bed. She often dreams of this memory, which always results in her waking up in a good mood.

14: Does your OC have a cell phone? If so, what kind?

~~ She does have a cell phone; it is just like Noctis’, or rather Noctis’ is just like hers, seeing as he got it ‘coincidentally’ not long after she got hers. The only person she ever calls on it is Noctis and her father, due to her anxiety about calling people. Everyone else she texts.

15: What makes your OC angry?

~~ There are actually quite a lot of things, but what gets to her the most is injustice/unfairness. She values the facts and the truth of things, and will not let things rest until they’ve been sorted out properly. This is especially true when it comes to her people. Many of her politics and foreign matters tutors have had to listen to her rant about fictional scenarios of politics in their lessons. They say that if she were not the Princess, she wouldn’t be out of place as a lawyer.

16: When is your OCs favorite time of year?

~~ Kylia loves autumn; she loves the color changing of the leaves, she loves the cold nippiness in the air, she loves the rainy days, the warm baked goods, the comfy clothes. She loves all of it.

17: How long can your OC hold their breath?

~~ 33 seconds on the dot.

18: What kind of underwear does your OC wear?

~~ This girl wears a lot of different kinds of underwear depending on her mood. More often than not, she wears the hipster kind for everyday, but best believe there’s some cute ass print or some frills somewhere on them. She likes briefs for when she’s just chilling, and has eight different sets of lingerie for special occasions.

19: Does your OC prefer plaid or polka dots?

~~ She likes both depending on where they’re at.

20: What’s your OCs favorite kind of pizza?

~~ When she can have one, she likes her pizza a certain way: grilled chicken, green bell peppers, and extra cheese, regular crust. She is a crust girl through and through, and will eat anyone else’s that they don’t want.

21: Who is your OCs best friend?

~~ Without a doubt, it will always be her advisor, Trinity Lasitene. They have been close throughout most of her life, and have confided in each other their deepest and darkest thoughts and secrets. There is no one who could ever take her place. If she was forced to choose someone else, it would be either her brother, Noctis, or Nyx, with Lunafreya not far behind.

22: Has your OC ever killed someone?

~~ Has she— that’s hilarious. She’s the Princess of Lucis. Let that answer the question. Hint: never.

23: Whats your OCs biggest secret?

~~ She has two, the first and not as big being that she has quite the attraction to her brother’s advisor, a mister Ignis Scientia. It isn’t her absolute biggest secret, as quite a lot of the staff can tell that she fancies him if they are ever near one another. However, her biggest secret is her secret relationship with Nyx those years ago. The only people who know are her, Nyx, and Trinity. Nobody else.

24: What does your OC smell like?

~~ Like crisp apples and jasmine, somehow fruity, sweet, and floral all at once. As long as she likes the scent, she will wear it, but that seems to be her regular smell.

25: What time of year does your OC prefer?

~~ There isn’t any particular part of the year she prefers; she just knows she doesn’t like June to August.

26: Is your OC a human or an animal? (or something else idk)

~~ A human, of course.

27: What languages does your OC speak?

~~ She can speak a few languages, seeing as she has been tutored in such. She can speak LSL (Lucian Sign Language), TSL (Tenebraen Sign Language), regular Lucian, and Galahdian.

28: Does your OC like anime?

~~ Though she doesn’t have a whole lot of time to devote to it, she is a fan of it, and has some merchandise from her absolute favorites. She likes being able to escape her day to day life every once in a while through it. There have been several occurrences of her and Trinity having anime night and pajama parties.

29: Can your OC swim?

~~ Yes, and rather well, at that. However, she prefers floating on her back and looking up at the sky.

30: What does your OC choose to do about the, er, hair down there?

~~ Considering she has no one she needs to impress with it, she doesn’t do a whole lot with it. She trims and gets a regular bikini wax from Trinity, but no more than that.

31: Does your OC believe in fairies?

~~ Amazingly, not really. She’ll visit the idea every now and then, but overall she doesn’t have a strong belief in them.

32: Did your OC go to college? What did they major in?

~~ She wasn’t allowed to go to public school with her brother, thus leading her to be tutored at the Citadel by the best. Quite a few of her lessons have been held at the Lucis Royal Academy, and she makes excellent grades. She is only two months away from graduating with top marks.

33: Are your OCs parents dead?

~~ Her mother passed away when she was 5 years old. Poor Papa Regis doesn’t have much longer though…

34: Is your OC religious?

~~ Yes, but she is also quite spiritual and isn’t very devout in her religion. Being royalty, she does have more reason than others to believe in the Gods, and she prays to them once or twice a week, but she doesn’t rely wholeheartedly on them as others do.

35: How flexible is your OC?

~~ She is rather flexible given the build of her body. She enjoys stretching it out in the morning, and her flexibility isn’t something to laugh at.

36: What turns your OC on?

~~ *Light touches along her sensitive spots (most especially on the back of her shoulders and neck. Really any light touching along her back, and crook of her elbows.) *Kissing and nibbling along her ears (whispering some lewd things never hurt.) *Passionate touches and kisses *A nice back and forearms *A lot of things really; she’s quite a sensual creature despite her lack of experience.

37: What was your OCs first word?

~~ Regis says that it was “Dada” (I mean, it was her third word, behind “Mama”), but in reality her first word was “Nock” (as in “Noctis”)

38: Does your OC have any pets?

~~ No, but she’s desperately wanted a dog for a long time since meeting Pryna and Umbra. They almost serve as placeholder dogs, but she does wish for one of her own.

39: Who is your OCs biggest enemy?

~~ Knowingly, she doesn’t have any. She can’t think of one, and honestly, it’s better that way. Really, though, anyone who hates or defies the crown is her enemy, as she is part of the crown itself.

40: What is the craziest thing your OC has done?

~~ Have a secret relationship with a Kingsglaive She’s skinny-dipped in the pool at night several times before, and has really enjoyed it. She wouldn’t hesitate to do it again, as long as she knows she won’t be caught. (Nyx has acutally caught her once before, but he hasn’t said a word about it to anyone; he just simply smiled and went along his merry way.)

41: What is your OCs motto about life?

~~ She hasn’t found one that speaks to her just yet, but one she cherishes and keeps close to her heart and mind is:“You don’t have to live forever; you just have to live.”

42: Does your OC drink coffee or tea?

~~ Kylia prefers to drink tea, especially at night before bed. However, she takes interest in coffee due to Ignis’ love of Ebony, and recently tried cafe au lait and enjoyed it thoroughly, although Trinity wasn’t so pleased. She has a hint of a feeling that Trinity and Ignis have made it a game between them to see who’s side her Highness leans towards that day.

43: Who is your OCs biggest hero?

~~ Though it may sound a little cheesy and typical, it is 100% true. Her biggest hero is her father, King Regis himself. She admires how steadfast he is for his people, how brave and kind and generous he is, and how loving and loyal he is to her and Noctis. She has always been a daddy’s girl.

44: What color eyes does your OC have?

~~ She has cool hazel eyes that lean a bit more green, similar to her father’s. When they catch the sunlight, though, the color is as if a peridot and a topaz combined into one.

45: Does your OC like reading?

~~ Kylia has quite the extensive library, ranging from educational novels to her own personal favorites. One of her favorites is a book of John Keats works, as she is quite the hopeless romantic.

46: Is your OC loyal?

~~Fiercely so. She remains loyal those she holds dear and loves endlessly, which includes her family and friends. If she ever has a lover, she will not stray from them. Of course, she is steadfastly loyal to her people.

47: Does your OC tolerate violence?

~~ She really doesn’t like it, no, but from her viewpoint, she’s only had violence coming at her from people she doesn’t know, whether they dislike the crown or are foreign enemies. Therefore you can only expect her to not like it very much.

48: What social class is your OC from?

~~ I mean… she’s the Crown Princess of Lucis.

49: What country was your OC born in?

~~ …Lucis

50: Does your OC cry easily?

~~ Not terribly easy, but it doesn’t take a ton either. When she’s under heavy emotional or mental stress, she can crumble quiet easily, and she’ll hold in her emotions a lot, but on an average day, she doesn’t cry too easily. (Show her something she deems ridiculously cute and she will definitely head in that direction.)

51: What is your OCs favorite genre of music?

~~She enjoys all sorts of music, and she deems herself to be a music nerd as she is constantly getting more and more of it every couple days. The only genre she doesn’t care for too much is rap.

52: How does your OC feel about insects?

~~She doesn’t mind them, but if they’re bigger than she deems normal then they’ve got to go. (She’ll normally call Trinity for this.)

53: What is your OCs sexual orientation?

~~ She considers herself to be polyamorous and straight, but she has had a few fleeting thoughts about a couple of the female Glaives and/or Crownsguard.

54: Does your OC smoke?

~~ No. She never has, and never will.

55: What gender is your OC?

~~ She presents herself as female.

56: What kind of clothes does your OC wear?

~~ Kylia’s wardrobe ranges from extravagant ballgowns to day dresses to sweatpants; it all depends on what she has to/wants to wear that day.

57: Would you call your OC adventurous?

~~ Yes; she has more than a few times snuck out of the gardens when she was younger, wanting to explore outside of the palace. This caused massive searches for the young princess, ending with stern talking to’s. She still has that adventurous and curious spirit; now she knows she only needs to ask.

58: Is your OC introverted or extroverted?

~~ She is a mixture of both; while she enjoys spending time with her friends and enjoying social events and the such, the introvert in her will, at some point, yell at her to get away and be alone for a while.

59: What is the first thing that someone would notice about your OC?

~~ That… she’s the Crown Princess. Aside from status, her hair is impeccably shiny and soft, so perhaps that.

60: Does your OC enjoy nature?

~~ She likes the view of nature plenty, but when it comes to being in nature, she prefers her visits to be somewhat short, unless there’s somewhere kept and nice nearby that she can retreat to at the end of the day.

1. Fela Kuti - It’s Highlife Time

Such a cheery introduction to a night at the Afro Spot. There’s an elegance and restraint and Western-facing showmanship that is the exact opposite of what Fela Kuti’s music came to be, but it seems completely sincere — just a different stage of an incredibly productive life.

2. Ros Serey Sothea - Jam 5 Kai Thiet (Wait 5 More Months)

The guitar tones, really all the tones of this song, are so perfect, and the structure is both immaculately pop-shaped and full of gnarly rock distortion.

3. Sylvie Vartan - L’oiseau

Such a piercing chorus! It almost sounds like she’s making a birdcall, and we’ve been really appreciating bird sounds this summer in the woods.

4. Singer Nahounou and T.P. Poly Rythmo de Cotonou Benin - Gbabouo

This is a 1978 T.P. track, so they’re in their prime, with Papillon providing those amazingly beautiful guitar waterfalls. I don’t know anything about Singer Nahounou, but his vocal phrasing is a lot more like the Zimbabwean style of Hallelujah Chicken Run Band than any of the Beninese musicians they more often play with. Someone says it has “a strong Ivory Coast influence,” but I don’t know what that means. I do know that this song makes me dance, and as it goes on you can hear the musicians really stretching out and playing with the essential elements of the groove, all led by the unstoppable Bentho Gustave on bass.

5. Teddy Afro - Atse Tewodros

I don’t know if you’ve had the experience of being halfway through a feast at an Ethiopian restaurant and suddenly realizing that you’ve been loving the music the entire time. For us, that restaurant was Meskerem on South Grand, and the band was Teddy Afro. The best part, though, might be this video, in which a collection of beautiful people do the shoulder dance seemingly all over Ethiopia, in grassy fields and castle walls and city streets, in pairs and trios and teams. It’s completely mesmerizing. Meanwhile, the footage of Teddy Afro’s live show sweeps across a crowd of tens of thousands of ecstatic fans. It’s a glimpse into several worlds I know nothing about — but the music certainly seems to speak a universal language of optimism and hope. Anyone who can tell me whether I’m completely mistaken about that, please do.

6. Francis Bebey - New Track

The way this song gradually coheres from thumb piano to futuristic space jam is a clinic. I could listen to Francis Bebey talk all night.

7. Manu Dibango - Groovy Flute

Our respect to Manu Dibango, who passed on March 24 of this year. He is responsible for giving the world Soul Makossa, which we in the US know as mama say mama sa mamakusa thanks to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. But MJ didn’t have Groovy Flute.

8. Chantal Goya - D’Abord, Dis Moi Ton Nom

This is from the Godard film Masculin Féminin. If you like this, you’re going to love the WBFF movies broadcast coming soon!

9. Brigitte Bardot - Tu Veux ou Tu Veux Pas

Sleepy Kitty does a version of this song on a 7”. This could be a great song for teaching first-year French — “You want it or you don’t” — including frank attitudes about hooking up.

10. Newen Afrobeat - Upside Down live

Chilean Fela disciples Newen Afrobeat bring their own approach to Fela Kuti’s Upside Down. You can hear how the political urgency of the original translates directly to citizens of a country on the other side of the world. I recently read one of the singers, Macarena, describe the band as a collective that exists to make music and get the word out about the Mapuche people and their mistreatment in Chile.

Like their masterpiece, Opposite People, this is another song that is enhanced by watching the performance. It’s enough to get you dancing just watching the singer wind her way around the stage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=embxt0jQ8f4

11. Antoine Dougbé & T.P. Orchestre - Kovito Gbe de Towe

The arrangement of this song is just stunning to me. The little guitar licks that steal their way between the downbeats, the sick drums, the sudden disco, the arresting tone of voice, the backing vocals, the phasing guitar solo, the breakdown, and those final percussive call-and-response vocals — this track is just flat out the tops. Currently our favorite artist… which means Dougbé, who wrote the song but didn’t sing it, Melome Clement, who arranged it, Papillon on guitar (I think), the incredibly tight drums, the horn section that cuts like a knife, and this whole period of T.P. Orchestre.

Serge Gainsbourg - Aux Armes Et Caetera

When this recording appeared there was a freakin uproar among the French, who were scandalized that anyone would translate the French national anthem into (gasp!) reggae form.

12. Van Goose - Last Bus

Credit due to Jen Meller for telling us long ago that Van Goose was a band to be listening for. We saw them for the first time at Underwater Sunshine in Manhattan and danced so hard that when we heard their next gig was New Year’s Eve, our plans were settled. I get so lost inside this song!

13. Stereo Total - Ringo I Love You

The first two songs that Paige heard of this band were I Love You Ono and Ringo I Love You — as far as we know, they specialize in Beatles-related songs (which is to say we know almost nothing about this band). Both of those songs are perfect expressions of themselves.

14. 張小鳳 (Zhang Xiao Feng) - 我深深地愛上你 (Eight Days a Week)

We know nothing about this band — this track is the result of supposing that a certain thing must exist, and then finding confirmation of its existence. What a strange chordal relation to the original it has.

Harvey Danger - Authenticity

20 years ago this week King James Version came out, which was a really really big day in a really big time in my life. One fine detail I just noticed is that I lived about a mile north of Pike Street 20 years ago, and I live about a mile south of Park Slope today. Which I don’t think me-then would have hated. Anyway I’m still enjoying every damn day, modern horrorshow notwithstanding!

15. Ben Blackwell - Bury My Body at Elmwood

So many times every year where we realize how much we miss Bob Reuter — his radio show, his photographs, his writing, and more than anything the man himself — and this is a song we first heard via Bob’s Scratchy Records.

16. Jacqueline Taïeb - 7 heures du matin

This song kind of encapsulates a lot of what I want this collection of songs to be — a crashing together of cultures that ties back to the universal elements of rock n roll. Jacqueline Taïeb is flat out the coolest.

17. Liev Tuk - Rom Sue Sue (Dance Soul Soul)

Another entry in our James Brown shockwave studies. This is a Cambodian track from the ’60s, so presumably made around the interaction of French and American soldiers with Cambodian citizens… probably mostly in bars near bases? That’s what I picture happening, but I don’t actually know anything about it. I will say that I think Liev brings his own thing to the track, a real animal grandeur.

18. Soumitra & Mousumi Chatterjee - Urbashi Soundtrack - Jogi Jogi

We’ve been trying to learn more about Bengali culture and language from our young neighbors in our building in Kensington. We’re kind of hoping that someone in the building recognizes this song — though it’s equally possible they would look at us like we were crazy. This is a soundtrack to a movie billed as a “thriller” — dig that ’80s keyboard movie-soundtrack solo — and Paige and I have already spent quite a bit of time theorizing, based purely on the music, what sort of movie we’ll encounter when we find it. Also, this is a new earworm you won’t be able to shake. I’d say I’m sorry but I’m not!

19. The Fall - Shoulder Pads

The Fall is one of our very favorite bands — actually, T.P. Orchestre is the first real contender for other favorite band in years — but I’m very aware of the fact that I have pretty much always approached these songs as broadcasts from an alien culture. The decisions that Mark E. Smith made, song after song, are so completely mysterious and thrilling to me, as is the way the band composed, and for the most part they’re talking about British cultural winds that have almost nothing to do with my world. Anytime we play a song by The Fall I feel like I’m in danger of losing myself to only Fall songs for the next month. Tie me to the mast!

20. T.P. Orchestre & Bentho Gustave - Agnon Djidjo (Tu as bon caractère)

This is the final track on Le Disque d’Or, and the melody just feels so full of importance, like something absolutely vital is being transmitted. When we were trying to keep track of songs, I referred to this song as “Benin’s Phil Collins.” Obviously not much overlap, but I do feel like the chorus has PC’s paranoid urgency. As far as Paige can tell, the lyrics are “Je suis heureux de vivre pres de toi jusqu’au le fin du monde,” which would be “I’m happy to be with you til the end of time.” We don’t know if those are the lyrics, but they certainly work for me.

21. Joanna Kulig & Marcin Masecki - Dwa Serduszka

If you haven’t seen the film Cold War, we can’t recommend it highly enough. Also, you should know that it’s devastatingly sad. But right from the opening scene, the music alone is a revelation, and the main actors are enough to make you understand that we’re only seeing a fraction of the world’s charismatic actors in the English-speaking context, o yo yo.

22. Blossom Dearie - Manhattan

Paige has always loved this song, especially because Blossom Dearie is the piano player as well, which is something we think about with Nat King Cole but not necessarily with a singer like her. And now this song seems like a description of the empty streets of Manhattan, and it being such a strange time. Mott Street is different right now — but it’s still New York, and these buildings have been there so long, through World War II, September 11, a lunatic for pres, and now COVID-19. Sadness and optimism: “The great big city’s a wondrous toy.”

23. Scott Walker - Duchess

A pandemic discovery for Paige. I always meant to get into Scott Walker. I was in a band in Chicago and the guy whose house we practiced at loved Scott Walker. He kinda looked like Scott Walker. He was living in the ‘60s. He had a word processor. I didn’t get into Scott Walker then, nor 10 years later, but over the last year his music landed, at some point between now and the beginning of the pandemic.

24. Inga - Silver Moon

So weird that this song has been translated from English into German… but they use phrases in English that do not exist in the original. I really want to know more about the circumstances of this translation and arrangement. Inga was a German pop star with excellent eye makeup game.

25. Avolonto Honore - Na Do Sê Kpon Wê

The word “elegiac” exists for occasions such as this. The song feels so sincere, whether with regret, loss, love, or bitter experience. It also sounds like the voice of a father to his son, at whatever age. He sounds wise.

Misc. Character Building #1

So, I saw this list of prompts on my dash and because I have free time, I was like: alright, why not do all of them? (I had to pass some questions without answering them because they have no answers).

TL;DR: She really hates Singed XD

01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded? – Definitely I picked Ellen Paige because it sounded nice. I was not concerned about name meanings when I created her. (But apparently Ellen means “light” and Paige means either Page or “assistance”. That is too romantic for my taste if I’m being honest lol).

02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness? – Hmm, probably the feeling she had not done well enough in life, that she could achieve more than what she currently had but could not anymore. The aversion against taking other lives is also applicable. She is good at covering these weaknesses up, however.

03. What would be their favorite physical trait about themselves? – Nothing. She does not particularly care about physical appearance.

04. What are their favorite traits about their lover? (one psychological and one physical) – Not applicable. She does not have a significant other.

05. Are they sexually confident or more of the shy type? – Probably the shy type, though the third type would be more correct: the type which does not care.

06. Do they have any hobbies that their lover finds unusual, odd, or otherwise annoying? – Pass.

07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)? – She tends to put “eh” at the end of a sentence to signify a question. She also likes using question tags (like “you know, don’t you?”).

08. What is, perhaps, their biggest flaw? Are they aware of this or oblivious to it? – She is hypocritical, judgmental and intolerant. She finds it difficult to agree with another person’s radically different points of view, especially concerning ethics and moralities, even if she knows the reason for them. She does not see any kind of tragic background enough reason for immoral and destructive behaviors. And yes, she knows this very well. For that reason, she tries her best not to interact with those she finds repulsive.

09. Do they have a favorite season? What about a favorite holiday? – Favorite season is summer. Favorite holiday used to be Progress Day.

10. Is your character more feminine or masculine? – Definitely feminine, though she can be rather dry.

11. What is something that would make your character fly into a rage? – Singed. And the Noxians that enabled him.

12. Is there some particular talent, skill, or attribute that they simply could not give up? – Her talents in hextech machinery, of course. It has been her life and her passion.

13. What are your character’s sleeping habits? Heavy or light sleeper? Blanket stealer? One that always rolls onto the floor? Pushes their lover onto the floor? Sleep talker or walker? – Ellen is a heavy sleeper, but she does not fall asleep easily.

14. Do they live alone or with family? How do they feel about their family/roommates? – She used to live with her father. She loves and respects her father a lot. He is one of the few true friends she has.

15. Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear. – Singed. Viktor is a close case, but she can somewhat sympathize with his ideals, if not his methods.

16. Is your character the athletic type or more of a couch potato? What are some sports/games that they like? – Couch potato, of course. Well, she sits down to do research, but still. She likes playing video games (I personally think they have simple games like Tetris and snake) and chess.

17. Does your character have dreams of getting married and/or having children? – No.

18. What kind of home would they want to live in? Where would they place this abode? – A one-room apartment is good for her. She doesn’t really put much thought into her residence.

19. Would your character be the kind to get into fights? (physical or verbal) Would they be a good fighter or cave in rather easily? – No, she would avoid fights like the plague. However it is easier for her to get into verbal fights rather than physical ones (she likes to refer to them as arguments or discourse). And if she really gets to it she is a good (and stubborn) arguer.

20. Does your character like animals? What are some of their favorite animals? Would they want pets? What about mythological creatures? – She has a scientific fascination with animals. No she would not want a pet. And no, definitely not mythological creatures.

41. Does your character’s family affect your character in any way? – Yes. Her father has been an influential figure in her life. Her passion and devotion to technology and progress all stemmed from adoration of her father’s works when she was young.

42. Is there anything in your character’s past that they regret, haunts them, or they wish they could change? – She wished she could change the fact that she had unknowingly used sentient lives to power her inventions, before she realized the truth about the energy crystals.

She believes she is always living her true self. She believes that Ellen Paige is the collection of each and every thought she had and every action she made.
