the thing about kristen is that she never allowed anyone to help her, no one saved her, no one guided her, no one even adopted her, she never had the moment of catharsis where she either forgave her parents or got her revenge from them. she just had to do that all on her own, she had to become tough and strong on her own, and when not even her girlfriend stayed (the one person that she ever had a heart to heart with) she kind of stopped giving that level of trust and openness that she wasn't receiving, thus, whatever is happening with her and cassandra. she doesn't trust god because god didn't save her either.
