This line is one of my Absolute Favorites from this show, because it really digs right into the new world that the kids are in:
They're not kids anymore.
There's a furious man threatening harm to Bumpy and her friends, and Sammy puts herself square in the middle of the argument, turns on the charm and promises that she'll make it up to him...and when he doesn't acquiesce, she immediately turns Stern. She bluntly tells him to go home. As an adult talking to another adult.
She has her own property. Her own life. Her own world. She has authority now. The days where they're kids hiding from robots or businessmen or sneaking away from big game hunters and mercenaries are over. Sammy has land, she has responsibilities, and she's not backing down from them. Sammy Gutierrez is an adult woman, and she's going to act like one.

#context:#after Bortom city recognized Beatrix as a threat and began persecuting her‚ she became widely known#A great reward would be given to those who captured the runaway android‚ and most people feared her.#To sum it up‚ she was alone in her journey and refusing to trust anyone so easily.#The persecutions got worse when more cities allied themselves with Bortom. This attracted robot hunters.#At some point‚ Beatrix met this golden-eyed‚ humanoid shadow that always seemed to watch her from afar#It wouldn't stop following her‚ until it was close enough to initiate a confrontation#Beatrix was basically FED UP with the persecutions and so she fought using her fists... while he had a gun.#The bullets couldn't cause great damage‚ and were actually microchips designed to stunt robotic enemies#Beatrix barely resisted the effects and managed to take down the other... who raised its hands in defeat.#Imagine the situation: She's literally got him on the ground‚ fist raised to deliver a powerful blow while he's SHAKING IN HIS BOOTS#Turns out the microchips take effect‚ and Beatrix attempts to escape before it's too late... But her systems go off abruptly#...Then she wakes up in this cozy workshop of sorts. She goes outside and BOOM!!!#A ship moved by machinery? Robots living peacefully? People walking past her without batting an eye? This must be a dream!#She's finally found Fusionsprunt (or was found but it). some time ago i made a post wondering why kakania looks to be pretty proficient with a gun, and @/please-let-this-work-oh-my-god in there said that she probably learned how to for self-defense but also brought up the question of how exactly is isolde good (at the very least, knew how to use one) with firearms too.
and im here to bring my idea to the table. what if kakania was the one who taught her how to use a gun, because much like her own reasons for learning how to, she also wanted isolde to learn out of self-defense.
little did she really know, isolde would use that knowledge in killing theophil, mr. karl, and hofmann.
in the grand scheme of things, this is just one of the footsteps in their joint path of "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".

See the way I write Raven is she’s someone who rarely gives in to anger, part of it is the training she’s got and the tolerance she built up for things that would piss most people off (ya standard operative/soldier stuff). It’s not that she doesn’t feel the anger though, she does, often in full force, but she’s better at compartmentalized it, shoving it into a box and slamming it into the back of her head where it can’t interfere with her focus.
But the thing about that kind of control is that it doesn’t make the anger go away. It builds and builds, and when the right (or unfortunate) situation or person pushes her too far, that box will break.
It starts small, changes in her body language that is almost hard to describe but not impossible to miss, like her eyes turning sharper and cold. There’s no shouting, no dramatic screaming, just this….heavy, ice-cold intensity that kinda makes you go “ah shit I fucked up”
The next is if she gives a verbal warning, you’re basically 80% fucked. It’s quiet but it’s packed with weight. A few words, just baaaarely restrained, enough to put the fear of God into anyone who was stupid enough to cross her.
When she’s fully snapped, her anger isn’t chaotic, it’s quite the opposite. Somehow it’s precise and sharp, because when she was brooding before she breaks she was already calculating “a few” ways to “deal” with the unfortunate dickhead. She was just waiting for an excuse to do it. She’ll aim for damage, not ending, she’ll make sure they regret everything with whatever pain she inflicted which will carry on for days, depending on how fucked the person is.

yeah, I can picture her spewing that in a way like she’s smacking a mosquito away like a nuisance.
Can’t really blame Price for going bonkers since this is Raven that is well, Raven, and it’s as feral as it is controlled. A primal instinct? To be proud and mesmerized by the sheer display of force that is usually contained. There’s just this glint in her eyes that really makes Price goes “damn that’s my wife” XD
Raven: *obliterates someone for speaking ill of Price*
