Kai walked up to the quarters for the base operations. He'd already been through orientation, gotten assigned his wicked awesome weapon of choice that he would be very responsible with, now it was time to meet his partner. He hoped they were buff, and NOT because he had back experiences in close quarters combat (it's cuz he's scrawny :3).

He opened the door to see a largely framed last with a mechanical arm, seemingly tinkering around with metal parts.

He pulls up a chair to sit right next to her. "Hey mate, watcha doin?"

(because I really want to know more of how Kai and Mechanique interact, aka, how much does Mechanique want to kill him?)

She looks at him skeptically, and raises her mechanical arm subtly.

Depends. Who are you?

He doesn't stop talking as he skitters along the forest floor, "Y'know, for someone who hates fire, you have a weird amount of explosives." He leaps up to grab onto a branch, and swings himself through the air as if he were light as a feather.
