Past Embers (title subject to change, I’m brainstorming while it’s fresh in my mind but it needs a tag that I can jump back to hehe)
Overall Prompt: F!Frida travels to the past to save the family from the Krang or something akin to that idea…?
Snippet Prompt: F!Frida informally meets P!Frida
Fi stops in her tracks when she spots the masked figure across the way. She pulls back her hood and holds her hands behind her back. She greets the counterpart with a silent nod.
The smaller remains frozen in place, hands beside her side but as stiff as a statue. Not a single acknowledgement made from the younger, but the elder knows.
The elder recognizes that the younger is shocked beyond all recognition. The elder knows because the younger has yet to share the stiff stance she holds. The mask may not tell, but Fi knows.
So, Fi loses the stance to place a hand on her hip, a more comfortable position she adopted after years with the Hamatos. She doesn’t greet with a smile like she forces herself to do, and simply says, “Good evening, Frida.”
The younger remains statuesque, frozen in time and silent. Mask unmoving, hidden in the shadow of her hood.
Fi sighs and points at Frida, “You have made a grave mistake. A mistake I have to fix.”
Frida finally snaps with movement, holding her hands behind her back like a soldier.
Fi doesn’t expect Frida do much of the talking, so she adds, “Your incompetence renders you useless. A fool. A mindless soldier without a soul whose mess I have to clean up. I don’t need your assistance but I will have you take responsibility for your actions. You have no say on the matter, Little Assistant.”
The nickname is one Fi knows will grind into Frida’s mind like a nail. She never did like the name as it felt demeaning rather than commending her for her work.
Frida remains still.
Fi sighs and mumbles under her breath, “So this is how I used to be, hmm? Now I see why they used to call me a robot. It’s quite strange to see the other side. —almost like talking to an actual wall…”
I imagine their meeting to be blunt and straightforward while demeaning in Fi’s side because she’s long grown aware of her faults by Big Mama’s side :D
Fi sees how Frida lacks personality and overall a soul because of Big Mama’s manipulations, so it’s almost pitiful for Fi to finally see an outsider’s perspective of what she thought was perfection :))))
