I love how John firmly and wholeheartedly believes that Jamie is the only person that knows about his relationship with Percy, when in reality there’s about 1% chance of that being the case.

There were a lot of people who probably suspected/knew about them. Maybe not before Percy’s exposure, but after that situation? Oh boy. They would look at their close friendship in hindsight + John being miserable after everything that happened and just put 2 and 2 together.

Especially the ones closer to John, but other people in his social circle too. People talk. The gossip would be wild. Before going on campaign those two were going out and about in London together, having dinners, attending plays, going to gaming clubs etc. At the time, no one would pay much attention to it. But that would drastically change after the incident with Percy.

It took 17 years for John and Hal to talk about it, and suddenly John would be openly discussing his family’s secrets with his new stepbrother? And you expect me to believe that somehow Hal thought that it was a normal friendship?? Nope.

This is the funniest one to me, but also the sweetest.

First of all, Horace sees how shitty John is and works in cahoots with Lucinda Joffrey to trick John into going to the 18th century version of a therapist.

What I love about this interaction is the way that John knows that Horace is queer, but refuses to admit that Horace would know about him too.

The way Horace hesitates because HE DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO REFER TO PERCY. He wants to say lover (or ex-lover) but he knows that he isn’t that close to John and that it would be weird to be so open about it — and he also doesn’t know how John would react. Even if he is 100% sure that John is gay, he can’t be sure that John wouldn’t feel offended or react in a violent way.

But he also doesn’t want to say “friend” or “stepbrother” because he KNOWS THEY WERE SO MUCH MORE TO EACH OTHER. He knows those are not the right words to use. So he hesitates until John makes it simple.

HOWEVER. He knows that Percy being caught with another man must mean that John was betrayed. He knows John is hurting, not just because of the betrayal, but because of the brutality of it all — after all, betrayal notwithstanding, Percy got arrested and could get executed for being gay; for being just like them. That’s something that affects all of them as queer people.

So even though he can’t be open about it, you can feel that he wants to bring that comfort to John, because he knows how bad the whole thing is and how lonely John must be feeling. He wants John to know that he will do whatever he can to save Percy’s life. He wants John to have hope.

It’s sad, but also so sweet?? That silent solidarity.

She did get kidnapped by Eden once after she got lost in the woods during a hunt and, while she escaped, sometimes Addie finds herself thinking about the hunter with curiosity—after all, didn't she also fight the Black Wolf at first before knowing better? Maybe the hunter isn't so bad either. Probably the only one of my PCs who'll become a parent.

Vincent, my final PC (for now?). Cis man with a huge everything—huge heart, huge muscles, huge... dick. as per now it's been awhile and im really out of practice of updating. i'll keep it relatively simple though. i met val's mom and i think it went well... she said it did. it felt like it was good to me and it was a bit of a relief. i don't know. as much as val told me not to worry and that shit would be cool and she knew her mom would like my bc they'd already talked about me a bit, i was still nervous about it going well. my spanish is definitely far from strong and i dunno i just need to make a good impression or else it fucks with me tbh.

it's funny bc ive also told her that i have talked to my mom about her a lot. and honestly, i tell my mom pretty much everything that's going on in my life so it would've been weird if she didn't know about her, but im so sure that's there's literally nothing that val would need to do to impress my mom or really any of my family. im sure she probably feels the same and still wants something to hold on to to make sure she does it right. maybe i need to come up with some little things that would make my mom feel good just so she feels like she has something to work with.

i had watched a few yt videos with this woman who gives advice for dating spanish speaking latin american people and the traditions and expectations and just some nice phrases in spanish to work into things and it made me feel a bit better. i knew what to call her mom and kind of having that step of checking in about it i think gave val the reminder to let me know what her mom would prefer and all that. it does do a decent amount when it comes to relieving a little anxiety bc it can be an action to take. like, you're not just like oh well im gonna fail and suck and that's just it bc there's a thing to work on even if it is kind of meaningless in the end. i don't think this was i do think it helped but still even if it didn't really change things at all i still felt better with it. plus she thought it was cute that i was watching it.

then i left for tour right after and fucking val slipped on some water or something at work and fucked up her knee. it really sucked and i hated that i could be around for her and help her out. it was nice that sabrina was there to sit with her in urgent care the next morning and all that. i mean, i could've, but it would've meant giving up seeing bastille with her bc there was no way for me to reasonably do both and i think i made the right choice. i know how much bastille means to her and i really wanted to experience the show with her. it was a really good time and she seemed happy. it was nice to sleep in her bed too one more time before im really gone gone for a bit. no coming back until well into december.

Okay so-- few months ago me and my friend were talking about what if DOL has an ending, bad one, since me and my friend are bad ending enthusiasts, it gave me an idea i shared to them months ago.

Neutral Bad Ending

MC comes home wet by the rain outside, they will come asking around orphans about Bailey's whereabouts, a orphan would approach them and say Bailey is currently occupying the bathroom,

There are two scenarios that might happen with this ending:

1. If PC is in High Trauma or just achieved the Whitney and Robin Park cutscene/event (which i made up in my mind), PC would ask for the orphan's hair dryer saying "needing to dry their hair because of the rain" before heading to the bathroom where Bailey is in and plugging it on the extension cord, a moment later, Bailey would notice PC's presence and would ask "what the fuck do you want brat? can't you see im in here?" PC would just give him a stare and would ask for his birthday

Defiant: "When's your birthday Bailey?"

Neutral: "i just want to know when is your birthday Bailey?"

Submissive: "W-well, i want to ask... w-when is your birthday Bailey?

At this, Bailey would respond "Why the hell would you want to know? i don't want any of your crappy gifts", PC will insist that they should just say when it is and they'll leave, Bailey would give it up and say "June 12, now get the fuck out of here." PC would smile at them saying that they'll remember it before throwing the plugged hair dryer on a extension cord at the bathub with Bailey.

If PC with High Trauma or the Whitney and Robin event (again made up in my head which i didn't write yet) is not acquired but Robin is on the underground brothel or the Orphanage had gained Rebellious trait it would follow this scene:

2. PC would pull some furnishings from around the orphanage towards the bathroom door exclusively trapping Bailey in the bathroom, the orphans would look at them confusedly and they will just assure them that they will end all of this, the orphans will still not get it but they will help PC pushing the furnitures, it has three stages

"You cover the bathroom door with furnitures and large objects, Its barely covered. he/she could come out easy"

"You cover the bathroom door with furnitures and large objects, Most parts were covered. he/she would sturggle to come out"

"You covered the bathroom door with furnitures and large objects. the door is fully covered. he/she cannot come out."

if high skullduggery, Should PC and the orphans move the furnitures quitely through the bathroom door, if not a chair would make a screeching sound alerting Bailey making the Player choose if they should take the risk on continuing or not.

*not continuing would fail this ending even if the door is already covered fully

continuing, would have Bailey rattling the doorknob only to not being able to open it, Bailey would soon bang the door for all of them to remove the blockage at once or else they will taste their wrath, but with PC contiuing and successfully covering the door, they hurry and lead the other orphans outside as they pick up a canister of gasoline and surrounded the whole orphanage with it including the furnitures near the bathroom door, they will pick up a match on Bailey's office and lit the gasoline tracks on fire.

Some, but nothing too crazy. All for it- obviously she knows there are boundaries so she won’t be a lap dog if she knows her partner isn’t super affectionate, but she’s way more likely to be affectionate in private 💕

Defending Whitney ( cause why not)

My latest Whitney post honest got me thinking of what Whitney could possibly be going through in the pokemon world.

Whitney, the third gym leader or Johto, is notorious for being pretty hard due to her milktank, and being a crybaby after she loses, not giving you the gym badge after she calms down. Many people, because of that, has grown a deep hatred for her ( and her milktank). So much so that they overlook two things:

This girl is smart. Despite saying that she doesn't have a lot of battle experience, her milktank has a pretty smart set of moves from self healing, to paralysis, to simply stalling, to using something like Attract. This girl knows what she's doing. And when you look at her B2W2 team, she has a fucking Blissey. She knows what she's doing.

A little headcanon that I have is that Whitney trained under Norman before his leaves to Hoenn, so she has a good understanding of strategy in battle, however when it comes to actual practice, she's a bit inexperienced.

And the next one is something I cannot stress enough:

She ain't fucking Claire, who's ego is too big to accept defeat, drags you to the dragon den, and has to be told to give you the badge. Like yeah, I get that's her arc or whatever, but compared to Whitney. Who just cries a bit, and then gives you your badge no problem. I feel like there's a bit a mature level here that honestly doesn't get talked about.

Honestly, it's kinda telling how much people would tend to bash her for her crying( within the Pokemon world, I'm not sure irl. I know that people hate her milktank tho). She's still young, and while it is annoying, I feel like she's indirectly teaching others that it's okay to cry( as long as you get shit done afterwards). Like, y'all, it's okay to cry. She even says that it was a good cry! Seriously.( I like to believe that teaching little kids that it's okay to cry about something is honestly a really good message!)

Honestly,I feel as Whitney gets older, she does mature a bit more to not do what she did in gsc/ hgss. But I still think she cries. She'll probably cry a lot. Both to make her feel better and to spite the people who would constantly drag her down, question her as a gym leader and such. Cause people had definitely tried to drag her down. Wouldn't be surprised if her admitted childishness most got her fired. Or that she almost quit due to the harassment. But she's still here. She's grown, matured, and still fucking cry cause fuck you.

Tbh, this post made me appreciate Whitney s bit more now. She's smart and talented, has good energy, and cries, which is totally okay? She's immature, sure, but if you constantly deny the girl the chance to grow and change, she won't, and I find that upsetting given Silver over here.

I was never really expecting to defend Whitney like this. Tbh, I don't remember struggling as much with her gym. I mean, I DID struggle, but after a while I just won. Kinda fulfills the job of a good gym leader to me. I didn't mind Whitney crying. I was confused, sure, but I was never bothered by it. I cry too, and she gave me the badge afterwards, so sure.

Thinking about my OCs as DoL protags #1: Leticia Lorelei

this is even more self indulgent than usual god damn. also warning for long.

She’d honestly be kind of the best at it of my gang tbh. Her life already ain’t that far off if we’re being honest. People are a lot more open about treating her like an object here. Unsure how to feel about that!

Lettie appeared as an infant near the orphanage nestled among the plants and immediately became a huge problem on account of her psychic powers. I’m pretty sure instead of crying as a baby, she just projected violent psychic interference into peoples heads?? Like the instincts are just different. And then it only really got worse as she got control over her powers and got older and more capable of active malice. So Bailey fucking hates her guts lol. Her endless debt is somehow even more than that of the average orphan on account of this.

Her reputation is one of her most important tools, so as much as it she knows it would make her life easier, she can’t let herself go straight into stealing or sexwork (Though while she won’t outright rob people, she Will con them to their faces.) I think she’d mostly associate herself with the temple. Plus, having provable magical powers that she can easily dress up as miracles, I feel like she’d be able to net herself a pretty cushy and important position with them. (Though at the same time, there’s Gonna be people that think she’s sus as hell and occasional attempts to use her mysterious powers as a scapegoat for literally anything that goes wrong) She does have to cheat her way through virginity tests. Nobody knows she’s doing it and thus nobody will ever know exactly how. (fuckin magic smh) Also uses herself in Scary But Powerful blood sacrifices a lot, so that probably contributes something or other.

None of the in game TFs particularly fit her? But I think a hypothetical deer or lamb TF would work really well for her. So that. Either/or. Angel seems like the obvious one but it really doesn’t quite fit when in reality she’s a) most definitely not a virgin and b) a fucking liar. She’s a magical illusionist with knowledge of the occult and some spells under her belt, not an actual miracle-worker.

She wouldn’t have an LI that she cares for in any major way tbh except maybe a more platonic fondness for Robin, but she’d be in all of their good graces. Being in constant danger, she does kind of need as many people as possible to be willing to kill for her, or fork over all their mortal possessions to her. She probably doesn’t actually know Alex, though. Which is a shame because she’d love going to the farmlands and helping look after all their animals and stuff. Chronic illness is a bitch, tho.

I think the love interests she’d be most closely associated with tho are Sydney and Eden. Sydney for clear temple reasons and Eden because regardless of if it’s because she was sold or abducted or whatever, Lettie is more than happy to slip into a comfortable, quiet life where she just stays in the forest hermit’s cabin and be fully protected and provided for. However, she knows in her heart she can’t risk letting them take over her life, even if she does manage to keep the psychological upper hand. Because Eden is fucking SCARY. So, once her money situation is stable, she tends to spend her weekends with Eden. (Sorry Avery lol, ur only use to her was money) Besides, she doesn’t want to risk Bailey sending someone else out to collect money she doesn’t have because she was gone too long.

At school, she has like 0 status on account of being quiet and visibly really weird. Not to mention genuinely creepy in how she manages to puppeteer the people around her. The temple association doesn’t help. Although considering her tendency to cozy up with Everyone, she does likely have Whitney’s protection. Best subject is English, worst is Swimming.

Teacherwise, I think she’d be closest with River! Again, for temple reasons. She probably has a lot of information about all of them, Leighton included, but she’s yet to blackmail them. She’s just sort of... Keeping it in her pocket for later use.

Every time someone asks her out, she pretends to be SO unbearable sweet and innocent that she just doesn’t understand what they’re telling her and takes it as a declaration of intense friendship. The exceptions to this are the likes of Whitney and Kylar, who don’t really ask you out so much as they just decide you’re together now. On that front, she. Kind of just tells both of them the ‘truth’ oddly enough lol. She’s such a subservient little pushover, it’s no shock she got suckered into that! So basically, she just lets them take it out on each other.

I.... I wouldn’t be shocked if Kylar abducted Lettie tbh. Actually, that sounds about right. Plus, she’s so weak and sickly, it’s better if she just stays with them! AND FURTHERMORE, what if she can use her miraculous powers to help their parents! (She can’t, sorry lol)

She tried to get a job at the cafe. She was allowed to be a waitress there for a while and did great at that, but the moment she got an opportunity to work in the kitchen she was just fired on the spot after what happened. We don’t talk about the incident. She also probably sells lots and lots of flowers. (And tho it’s not a thing you can do in-game, her skills in sewing, embroidery and various other fiber arts would probably be moneymaking opportunities.)

I’m... Unsure how the Wraith would feel about her. I feel like some kind of close connection would form there, but I don’t know what exactly... Will have to think on this more.

Animals and plant people are inexplicably drawn to her even more than most people? Wild. (Her horde of familiars lmao)

I think she’s equal parts beloved and detested by the town. Some adore her and would very much like to use her (or just her body tbh) to fix every single problem in their life. Some think that she’s a bad omen or deluded and that she ought to be knocked down into her place. Also probably element of corruption kink go brrrrrrr except she’s incorruptible because she’s already corrupt as shit. A fair number of people are convinced she’s a changeling, or some other form of dangerous fae, so they’ll be inclined to avoid her outright.

In some sense, she’s safer than average with her reputation meaning that a lot of people either think too highly of her or see her as too delicate to even make normal physical contact with her, or fear her too much to go near her. But also how known she’d be would mean that she’s very recognizable and anyone that does have half a mind to attack her is going to be extra determined and extra weird about it.

I’m unsure about her title, though I’m still stuck on picking one for Clara who is literally a DoL OC that I play with and exists purely for DoL stuff so that tracks. Buuuuuut... The Enigma, The Divine or The Illusionist would work nicely for her, depending on what angle you wanna focus on. Maybe something relating to how many faces she has lol

As a sidenote, I think she’d like Gwylan a lot!! : ) There we go, that’s one person she might want to be friends with in the entire hell town that she’s not too unwell to actually meet.

Future of Johto League

Continuation of the post here

Realized if we go further into the future, things in Johto League is bound to change such as gym leaders and Elite Four!

So here is my take!! I’m always down to hear opinions!

As I said in the previous link, Silver is now the champion of Johto [see link above if you want to know more details!]

In terms of Elite Four, I believe Koga transfers to Kanto [once Agatha ends up retiring!] and Bruno stays with Kanto only, not being a part of Johto anymore.

Now, you may ask— what about the other spots for the Elite Four members? So, I gave it a few thinking.

My first choice was Claire tbh, she is perfect for being an Elite Four member and people have told her that she's as strong as as Elite Four member but I realized that leaves Blackthorn City without a gym leader. I believe that Claire would have prefer staying in Blackthorn, so that is what she does instead of being part of the Wlite Four. [Don't worry, she matured as a gym leader as well— If you win, you win! She gives the badge but also informs you about the Dragon's Den, noting this is where you can catch a Dratiny].

So my second choice I had was Whitney— I'd actually believe it if it were to get down to it. She's talented, she has been chosen by the league before and I won't be surprised if she were chosen again. She's be the Elite Four member wit a second job— [Like how Shauntel had one in Unova!] She will be a Pokeathlete! She also matured as she got older, she does feel really bad about her Pokemon getting injured but she makes people proceed to the area anyway, probably crying only once the person leaves. She still has her heart worn on her sleeve, but she can control it better.

I was sincerely hoping I can use Morty— he was my third choice. However, I think he had a similarity with Claire. I feel like Morty would prefer being in Ecruteak gym because he would want to be there for the place, especially because he dedicated his life towards Ho-Oh and he finds the place too memorable just to leave it and also I feel like being a Future Seer and all that, Ecruteak is well known for its tradition and its gym leader too.

You see, my other choice was Jasmine— but same problem with Claire and Morty, she would probably prefer to stay. Hear me out— she is a lighthouse keeper inside her city and she takes care of a sickly Ampharos. I feel like she would stay in case of an emergency or the like.

So this makes me with only the following: Falkner, Bugsy, Pryce and Chuck.

I fully believe Pryce would retire from then, just like Agatha, but it is because of age. Meanwhile Chuck is still a gym leader in his location because he wants to be in the place where he is used to training and he wants to be close to his family, much more now that he is getting older.

I fully believe Bugsy would have taken the spot [have you seen how strong he is with his strongest team in those YouTube videos???? Yeah.] But I actually think be retire to follow his dreams which is to be a Professor/Assistant Professor. Which he ends up doing after Professor Oak retires from old age.

So yes, this ends up in this kind of situation where I think Falkner ends up as an Elite Four member with his own Pokemon, not his father's. I was thinking for a long time if he had a connection to Violet City, but as far as I know, he doesn't have a certain connection unlike the rest besides him replacing the gym for his father's absence and there was no hints that he loved Violet as much as Claire cares for Blackthorn or how important Ecruteak is to Morty, or even how Jasmine needs to stay in Olivine.

So yeah, Falkner is the next Elite Four member, exceeding expectations of everyone after taking a break from gym leaders for a while just to get stronger at times while catching as much Bird Pokemon he can and he ends up being a great gym leader. Before any argument of his Flying specialist— Consider, Kahili from Alola is a Flying Type Specialist and an Elite Four member. So I believe Falkner can do it too. His Mud-Slap and Roost thing already shows that he has some kind of possibility, as some people do find that troublesome- imagine if he had a better strategy and a better team. That would have made him perfect for the job.

Now my problem is— there are missing spots for gym leaders. There is Violet, Azalea, Goldernrod and Mahogany.

I do not have any noteworthy trainers in the top of my head besides Eusine and the Kimono Girls which are all from Ecruteak City. HOWEVER. I think someone from the Kimono girls can replace one of them if and ONLY if they find a successor. As of now I am torn between Flareon, Vaporeon or Jolteon because they wouldn't have matching types. Depending on who it is doesn't change the fact that I think they would be in Violet— first off, I think it is the most traditional city besides Ecruteak and secondly, it is also the closest city to it if I am not mistaken.

The other three gyms honestly, I have no idea. However, I do have types in mind.

Grass, Water, Ice, Electric and Poison.

Goldenrod contains Electric because it fits the booming of Goldenrod and the vibe of it, Water/Ice for Mahogany because it is depicted as a small town— added to that, it did have an ice gym leader before. And for Azalea, Poison because of it having so much Slowbros, I was thinking of how in future generations it is poison instead of Psychic, and I think the possibility is neat.

Now that I eliminate it, it leaves me making the Violet gym, the one with the kimono girl, stick with Flareon. I just realized that. That's neat!

However, I feel like the gym placements would also change, not too much, but maybe a few things.

First would be Azalea only because I feel like a Kimono Girl is experienced in pokemon battling. I think they deserve a higher spot. So first gym being a poison specialist? That's actually really neat.

Second would be Goldenrod. That's also neat because Electric type is second, and you get to experience a wild ride. Seems promising so far!

Third would be Violet! I really believe the gym leader would deserve this spot, given that they were a kimono girl.

Fourth, you would get to travel to Ecruteak but you cannot fight the gym leader yet, probably have to go to Mahogany First perhaps? This is my only problem but it is for map reasons. But hey, Ice/Water specialist! Dont know yet but they're there. I feel like you may get the TM Fly somewhere in Mahogany to help fix this problem.

Fifth would be Ecruteak, then Cianwood AND Olivine will still be interchangeable! And then you can try and go to Blackthorn.

Now, on the topic of League— Elite Four placements would be

Will

Karen
