Relationship With Family: Shock was actually a bit of a daddy’s little girl for the first few years of her life. It wasn’t until her siblings were born and her parents became tired and strained and neglectful that her relationship with her father and mother both deteriorated. A part of her resented her siblings for that, and still does, but mostly she’s raised Lock and Barrel as they got older and so she’s very protective of them. 

Home Life During Childhood: The Adamsons were poor and their parents neglectful, so Shock didn’t have the greatest home life. There were times when they even got taken away from their parents and so things were always tense and stressful at home. Someone was always in trouble for something, too. 

Bedroom Through The Years: Shock being the first born and the only girl probably meant that she did have her own room. But it was small, and she didn’t have a whole lot of material things. Nothing fancy. Just basic bedding (white with little flowers on it) and basic furniture, maybe a few posters as she grew older and a few dolls that she grew up and mutilated for fun, but. That’s really it. From teen-hood to adulthood she’s collected more witch-related things, such as crystals and incense and candles and books and the like, and now has her own little altar as well as a separate room for Medium business where she keeps most of the big things. Her room is a constant mess no matter what, though. Shock is not very neat. And nowadays her bedding and furniture is still basic, but darker, with black sheets and a large moon cycle tapestry above her bed. 

Best Memory: This is going to sound odd, but being struck by lightning is honestly one of Shock’s favorite memories, because it changed her entirely as a person. It gave her power. 

Worst Memory: This is [trigger warning: sexual assault/rape] when she was about 21 or 22. There was a guy who went to university nearby and came to the cafe Shock was working at a lot at the time, always sitting in her section. One day he followed her home, and Shock, ever confident and not giving a fuck, invited him in. Unfortunately, she underestimated the guy who wound up forcing himself on her, using some chloroform he’d prepared and brought with him to gain an advantage. Shock, fading in and out and unable to do much, unleashed lightning from her entire body as she fought through the trauma, and it killed him. She awoke to the guy burned to a crisp on top of her, and her brothers helped her bury the bastard. They moved to Swynlake not long after.
