i was wondering if someone was gonna ask about this its a nice glimpse into how goddamn wild the mario rpgs are sometimes <3 but yes mario and luigi both canonically died and went to hell in super paper mario!! they get exploded by one of the main villain's minions, who is a magical jester. he also kills the other two player characters, bowser and peach. peach is the only one of the gang that goes to heaven. luigi's reaction to being told he's dead is essentially 'well, it was bound to happen eventually i suppose'

not only did super paper mario confirm the existence of heaven and hell in the mario universe, it also gave them names! heaven is called the overthere, and hell is.

The scene where Viserys consents to the c-section on Aemma’s behalf against her wishes is horrifying to watch. She’s literally screaming “no, Viserys, please” as the maester cuts into her. She’d told him that she didn’t want to try for more kids, and then he butchers her for a son. It is particularly sickening because Viserys claims to love her.

The producers said they'd not depict sexual violence against women, and then they do that to Aemma Arryn in literally the first episode. Is that not violence? Is reproductive violence not a form of sexual violence? Is the disregard for Aemma's autonomy not violent?

Furthermore, Viserys largely ignores his sons once he finally has them, so what was the point of Aemma's violent death? In the book, it appears that Viserys married Alicent out of love rather than a desire for sons, which makes more sense. However, the show's depiction of him as complicit in Aemma's brutal death and then neglecting the sons he sacrificed her for lacks coherence.

in my free time i'm typing out a little post-adventure of link story from loz 1 zelda's perspective on link bringing this OTHER princess zelda who was apparently asleep for centuries (and thank you SO much for the WARNING that he was going to be DOING this, IMPA [<-entirely sarcastic]) back to the castle and the acclimatization of everyone to the whole situation and it's genuinely so fun. loz 1 zelda's standing there like alright how do i gently break it to my relative from the distant peaceful past that she has to learn how to fight in this time period or she's going to get ripped to shreds by monsters. and then she says exactly that and when aol zelda predictably looks mildly freaked out about the subject and is just standing there internally screaming like yep! okay! sure! death and destruction is rampant in this world and it kind of makes me wish i'd never woken up at all! when do fighting lessons start! loz 1 zelda is just standing there like. hm. was that not gentle enough. i feel like that wasn't gentle enough.

I just think the scene in 3.15 where Anakin takes control of both The Son and The Daughter while the sky is changing from light to dark and the ground is morphing and his voice gets that double layer when he forces them to their knees is just so, so cool.

the thought of your found family is what motivates you in your little world. you touch the clouds, but the soil gives way under your footprints....this is utopia. if you were to erase one thing it would be your memory. experience is important but ignorance is bliss. identity, in heaven, should give way to happiness. you'd give anything to sit by the swings and eat icecream. but that isn't that kind of world. you have to get up and wash the dirt off your scraped knees. i think you have an escapism problem.
