Your story about being in love with Sanji

(I made a 2nd part in Sanji's point of view. Also, I did this story based on the song by Laufey, just down below. Really good. 👍 Also, this takes place after the Whole Cake Island arc. SPOILERS if you squint enough.)

Sanji's story

There is one thing you were pretty accustomed to, even if it was a tad pathetic, it was your bad luck when it came to falling in love. You should have known by now that this kind of thing just wasn't meant for you, that love wasn't something that you were gonna be able to achieve in this life.

So you did what you did best, pine and love unconditionally from the background. Yes, that was what you were meant for, to love with your whole heart and hope that the person you love lived the happy life they deserved. That's what Sanji deserved and it did not matter to you how he just couldn't love one woman, especially with what happened back on Whole Cake with Pudding.

Yeah, all your hopes were flushed down the drain because of one selfish woman, though you could also understand why she acted the way she did when you found out about her and the hard life she had as a child by Katakuri. Katakuri...the one man who seemed keen on giving you the whole world if you asked him to and more if you stayed with him on Whole Cake.

You'd be lying if you said you weren't tempted by his offer, especially after everything that happened with Sanji...and the anguish that came with loving him wholeheartedly, moreso after everything started to go back to normal once the whole crew and Sanji made up. You really almost took Katakuri up on his offer of staying with him, especially when he told you, so heartfelt too, that he'd never find a woman like you again.

A man who loves you for you, that was more than you could ever ask for but what you needed and what you wanted never seem to come together in unison and agree on one thing when it came down to it. You were sick of it so…you ask him to give you some time, the time the crew was going to take staying here on the island before departing on their adventure once more.

And he did, Katakuri gave you the time and gave you your space, not once rushing you and trying to convince you to stay, allowing you to take control of your own emotions, thoughts, and actions and you will forever be grateful to him for it. You are grateful to him so when you sit by the lake where you had made friends with Pound, who you found out later on that he was the father of Chiffon and Lola, and wanted his insights on your dilemma to hopefully be convinced by him to stay.

He was gone now, you never did find out what had happened to him, you just hoped you’d meet him again one day. You wished your heart would stop nagging at you whenever you told yourself this, that the feeling of dread would go away as you kept convincing yourself that you’d one day meet him again. “What’s wrong?” You don't bother looking at the person behind the voice who asked you this, you already knew who it was.

"Hm..." You simply hummed in response, still in deep thought as the memories on Whole Cake kept replaying constantly in your mind. Your heart ached when they did, remembering the dejected expression Katakuri made when you ultimately decided to keep with your crew, with your friends. Then there was also the feeling of dread whenever you remembered Pound, unable to have give him your goodbyes due to him disappearing.

"Just have a lot on my mind." You mumble as you picked at the pie, as if you digged deep enough with your fork, you'd get all the answers you so needed. You finally bring your eyes up to look at him when you hear the chair scraping against the floor, sitting down as he faced you, giving you that smile that once again brought up all those feelings you wish you could move on from. "I'm all ears, mademoiselle." He spoke in a hushed tone as he leaned in closer to you and you had to drop your gaze to keep him from seeing the boundless love you held for this man.

You watch the dark ripples of your coffee, placing the fork down on you plate with your pie in favor of holding your hot cup of coffee in both hands instead. “I’m glad you’re back.” There was so much more you wanted to say to him but you always seemed to choke on those words every time you tried. You knew, without having to look up at him, that he was smiling again, that smile you’d give anything to make sure it would never disappear on him.

“I’m glad to be back.” He responds, his voice soft, like it always was whenever he spoke with you, one of the few reasons why you chose to keep loving him despite the neverending pain and melancholy it brought you. You bring your gaze to the black sketchbook beside your plate of pie, pondering, wondering what to do with it now that you’ve filled every blank space on it, poured your ache and devotion into it.

You could feel Sanji’s one eye on you, those blue eyes, which surprisingly enough also have specks of grey in them as well. You smile as you remember these details about him, his goatee, his blonde hair, his visible curly eyebrow, and…those long slender fingers of his. Those same hands also brought you comfort when you needed it most, his tender caresses on your shoulders and your cheeks, making you forget the yearning when he did.

You tap your fingers against the black leather surface of your sketchbook, once again humming in wonder before finally bringing your gaze back up to look up at him. Just as you thought, he was staring at you and that tender gaze, filled with nothing but fondness for you as he gave you that shaky little smile. Haven't you given enough? That little voice in your head pokes and prods at the wounds that never seem to heal, making it harder for you to hold back the tears you've been fighting tooth and nail since you saw him and Pudding in that alleyway.

You felt sick but maybe that was because all you had was pie and coffee this morning and even then, you didn't really have much an appetite for it either. "May I look through it?" His voice brings you out of the abyss of your anguish, looking up at him then down at what he was looking at. "Oh...um..." You stare at it as well, the book that held all your heartfelt emotions, a visual of your hurt and love all inside of this one sketchbook.

You were honestly tired, exhausted of constantly suffocating in this endless love for Sanji. You love him so much that all it brought was heartache, this despondent love of yours which you refused to let go of. "Yes, I guess you can look through it." You give up, what he did with the knowledge of all your feelings after was forever going to be in his hands from now on, as you slide the sketchbook over to him using the tips of your fingers.

You give him a tired smile before standing up, grabbing your cup of coffee and plate of pie, leaving him alone with your sketchbook as you head to the kitchen. You weren’t able to make it in there without having Luffy snag the pie off the plate and Robin taking your cup of untouched coffee out of your hands. Well, at least none of it went to waste and all your were left with was the small plate to wash, less work for you. “Wait.” You were reaching to push the door leading to the kitchen open but you are stopped by a firm and gentle grasp on your arm.

“Your drawings…” Right, you should have known better than to think he’d leave you alone after going through your whole sketchbook, and you hesitate turning around to look at him until you finally do. “They’re all…me.” Yes, they are all about him, some simple and others more detailed and complex. “Um…yes…they’re all you.” You couldn’t speak any louder than a hushed tone, afraid of the way your voice was beginning to waver as you spoke.

“And this one…why is…why am I…” You could tell that he wasn’t sure of what to make of the very last drawing involving him…him and Pudding kissing in the alleyway. You give him your plate and gently take the sketchbook in both your hands, rubbing your thumbs over the edges of the worn out pages. “Stolen memories.” Is all you give him, keeping your promise to Pudding when she noticed you watching them, your exhausted and broken expression not going unnoticed by her.

“I just…I’m trying to understand though, my lady. What does it all exactly mean?” You decide to just outright tell him, you were done keeping it all to yourself about how you truly felt for him. “It's my love…” You closed the sketchbook, running a hand over the all too familiar black leather cover once more before giving it to him again. “I want you to have it.” You wanted to leave it at that, having told him what you’ve been wanting to get off your chest for years and already feeling better once you do.

Oh, but Sanji just cannot leave things be, especially when it came to things like this. He wraps his arms around you, tightly, suffocating you in an embrace that he refused to let up from and you could feel him trembling slightly as he does. When he finally does let go, though with great difficulty, loosening his arms from around you and smiles at you despite your confusion, you are now able to see the deep affection swirling behind those eyes of his.

His hands come up to hold your face tenderly, leaning down slowly, his eyes never leaving yours while you had to fight back the urge to look away in embarrassment. “You are my reason for the strength I found to keep going…even when I had hit my lowest.” You could feel your eyes stinging with the tears you have always refused to let shed, always promising yourself that it was for the best that things remained the way they were.

“I love you.” Your cheeks flushed, lips quivering before finally breaking out into a fit of quiet sobs, tears finally cascading down your cheeks as you reached to hold onto his shirt, grasping onto him as he leaned the rest of the way down to press his lips to yours, not caring that they were drenched in your salty tears as he did. As painful as it was throughout all these years when it came to loving Sanji, if you knew then what you knew now, you wouldn’t change a thing…not a single one.

You’d let him break your heart all over again.

You felt your back get slammed into the wall but you were thankful that your backpack provided some protection from the brick wall. Two guys towered over you as they looked down at you. “So have you thought about it? We won’t treat you bad if you come with us. We will take good care of you, you know.” They leaned down as they stared into you, waiting for the moment you said no. “P-please I’m nothing special, just let me go…please,” you begged helplessly. A cruel sneer came at their faces as they grabbed your hair. You flinch as you throw you against the ground. “You know when girls misbehave they get punishments.” They snarl out as they looked down at you. You scramble back as you tried to curl into a ball. Hoping that they won’t hurt you too bad. You heard loud screams, the types from horror movies. Filled with pain and misery but you dare not look up. As the sound of beating finally stop you could feel a pair of hands wrap around you. “You’re alright now.” It was Eirene’s voice. You slowly peek up to see her hugging you, her arms cold but so comforting. You couldn’t muffle a word as you start to cry and threw yourself into her arms. Her eyes widen in surprise as she almost tumbles over onto the ground but catching herself in time. Your head was buried into her chest as your tears flowed freely. “I’m here now, everything will be alright.” Her words were soft not like her usual strict tone, it felt so nice as if you were cocooned in a warm blanket. “Let’s bring you back home alright?” You could barely nod as she carried you in her arms, with surprising strength. You cling onto her as your head is still down, not wanting to look at the bullies.

As you two got to your house she settled you onto your bed before sitting next to you. Your tears already dried off as she had used her sleeve to help you wipe them off, with great reluctance. There was silence in the air before you decided to break it. “How did you know I was there?” Your question hung in the air before she answered, “I had some guards follow you secretly when I saw you starting to wear different shirts than usual.” She finally admitted. “You noticed that I wore different clothes?” She sighed before asking, “Is that what you’re really worried about right now? Yes I do notice every time you change your outfit, your perfume, your mak-.” She halted as she noticed she had said too much. A smile formed on your face. “So deep down you really care about me?” “Is that not obvious?” You shake your head before admitting, “Sometimes I feel like I’m dragging you down, a burden. And that you don’t want to talk to me.” “You really….think that way?” She suddenly pulls you tightly into a hug which was surprising, she never initiated any type of physical contact. “I sometimes do really wonder how you made it to college.” She mutters as you cling onto her. “You are mine, you can trust me completely because I trust you completely. I hope next time if anything happens you come find me don’t hide it. If you don’t come find me I’ll make you…play chess with me.”

INTERESTING QUESTION ANON i think it depends on whats going on with the situations they get into or whats happening in the timeline theyre in but i think ottosuba in any sort of longer term relationship (as friends or romantic partners) would work out in one of several possibilities:

good ending!! they stay good friends for the rest of their lives, resolve all differences, recover a bit from their respective insecurities and traumas over time, and stay close :) otto may or may not get hung up on subaru a bit in the back of his mind (bc he probably wants subaru carnally judging off of the Details that rezero staff keep adding into otto side content) but he’d do his best to move on 👍 and ultimately theyd be happy!! yay happy ending!! this is the best case scenario.

but either way metaphorically i think theyre basically married regardless of how they define their relationship bc they Do need each other. they are staying by each others sides forever if they can help it.

i think in general though if we’re talking more of that main route complicated friendship, imo i think realistically on ottos end there could be somee sort of unrequited romance there (too many little details about ottos attachment to subaru that add up and heavily remind me of rems attachment to subaru). subaru isnt privy to it and neither of them fully know about each other, as much as they do still Know a good amount of things about each other. i think that their current main route dynamic is like i said either gonna end in tragedy or itll be rocky for a while and then eventually end happier.

i dont think theyd get into a romantic relationship ever as they are now in main route unless you mess around with the timeline a bit. ottos otto with his avoidant tendencies and his desire to help subaru as much as possible so of course hes gonna be the type to stand by and be happy for subaru at his wedding or whatever but be dying inside a little knowing itd never be otto there. and subaru shows far more romantic interest in emilia and previously rem obviously, but julius is way up there of course. otto is a best friend but not a lover.

otto fully admits to subarus face that he cant date a woman as he is now bc she wouldnt be his priority. the most important thing to him. bc otto is otto he probably means his career goals (being the emilia camp internal affairs minister and getting his own store) but the line is so open ended it makes total sense imo if he also meant prioritizing the emilia camp in general—especially subaru.

i think otto is currently at that level of clinginess that even if he went to eventually date or marry someone who isnt subaru, he’d still think of subaru. and its not that subaru doesnt want and need and love otto or see him as lesser than subarus other loved ones, bc subaru really really cares about otto and loves him unconditionally, but when you think of who subaru thinks of and turns to first, naturally youre probably thinking of beatrice or emilia or rem or julius. of course every dynamic subaru has with different loved ones of his is special in their own ways, otto included, but otto continually seems to be shadowed when it comes to subaru.

and otto of course knows that. hes not the First to be there for subaru. he knows this the moment he starts interacting with subaru more in arc 3 and 4 and witnesses subaru do so much for emilia. when otto also witnesses emilia caring so much for subaru, excitedly rambling about him to frederica while otto watches quietly and wonders why hes jealous of emisuba’s closeness. otto watches emisuba quietly again and realizes why they care so much for each other, why subaru fights so hard for emilia. otto is bitter when subaru doesnt ask him for help bc otto was there always following in subarus footsteps. otto goes out and risks his life while emisuba argue and then eventually kiss in the tomb. otto watches again as julius’s existence further threatens otto’s insecurity of being useless to his loved ones and julius fits in with emisuba while otto cant.

i do think its interesting to note though that otto of course steps back because he wants subaru happy, and bc he also cares about emilia too—but otto gets defensive with julius for all sorts of reasons. my personal theory is that theres also a sense of loyalty here bc in ottos head, sure hes not gonna be like subaru’s Lady. but ottos the Closest Man in subarus life, right? (until julius comes along after otto spends a year living with and serving subaru.)

its also interesting to think about how this compares to otto if, where the dynamics with ottosuba are slightly reversed all bc otto IS the first person to be close to subaru. otto isnt a dog following at subarus heels in the same way anymore, hes not a shadow—theyre both in the light instead as equals, and instead of otto supporting subarus dream, its subaru supporting ottos dream (of opening a store and running a successful business!! which they kinda did bc they got their own market stand!!). inadvertently theyre also supporting each others Implied dreams: curing their loneliness and having someone at their side who truly cares for them and spends all this time with them. main route ottosuba also support each other of course but theres far more cost with all the trauma theyre going through and the conflicts rising between them that theyre not fully aware of (rbd and both otto and subaru hiding info/parts of themselves away).

in a general long term, ottosuba would have to put everything out in the open and be fully honest with themselves and each other to the best of their ability if they want to still have their friendship by the end of all of this bc all the lies and insecurity is tearing them apart :((

otto and subaru are people who need to be needed. they kind of try to secure love towards them at times by becoming indispensable to other people, they submit to other people with their own insane devotion and theyd go to any lengths.

with ottosuba specifically, otto is the first to die for subaru and reach out to subaru first, even in the white whale loop bc otto goes back for subaru after regretting pushing subaru out of the wagon. subaru knows otto is willing to die for him. subaru in arc 8 thinks about how he needs otto and how it would suck for otto to die, and in general, otto is a source of safety and dependability for him. otto is smart and capable and loyal, he can solve problems that i cant figure out by myself, and i can count on him and tease him. that sort of sentiment. subaru to otto is the first person to actually want otto, the first person to Literally claim otto as his (arc 4 wn subaru joking about otto being “his side toy”, but also the otto’s diary episode where ram calls otto subarus accessory and otto admits he likes it), the first person to actually want otto to stay to the point of hiring otto without his consent, the first person to—like otto with subaru—search for otto first by sending ricardo to save otto from the witch cult.

ottosuba get into a feedback loop where they need to be needed, and they need each other and acknowledge the other has things they dont have (otto’s calculating nature, subaru’s idealism and determination). otto is also different for subaru bc hes someone he can pull along in a way subaru cant with other people his age in his life—otto has to be teased and poked and prodded and pushed and normally subaru doesnt get this sort of role, and otto needs someone who can be pushy like that so he can actually be pushed to admit he Wants Connection. at the same time though, otto leads subaru by the ear, instructing and helping subaru with strategy and demanding subaru turn to him for help, pushing subaru to accept it for once. its a true feedback loop for sure !!

hypothetically speaking if they were in a romantic relationship itd just be like their usual dynamic as friends but with extra steps. theyre as clingy as ever, but either way…. they have issues to get past. and i think itd have to start with otto, bc due to rbd subaru is Incapable Of Talking all that much about that anyway. ;-;; ottos the one whos literally holding back, and he needs to be honest about his general insecurities and try to communicate and admit stuff like “im scared we’re all going to get hurt so i keep wanting to do anything to stop that from happening” or “i feel horrible just not being able to do anything while the rest of you are out risking your lives bc i dont want anything bad to happen to you and i Need to do something to help” or “maybe i just need you to keep needing me so that i know you wont leave me behind again” or “i thought that the only thing i was good for was literally staying in your shadow and doing all the shitty stuff that you cant” (hahaha otto does not know about subarus bad case of stockholm syndrome and dying and being tortured sooo very much ;-;;;;;).

i think itd take a lot of work to get past the current hurdles in their dynamic, especially with rbd making it more messy, especially with subaru not being able to talk about it, especially with ottos Shit probably is gonna hit home for subaru bc hes felt Similar, especially when ottosuba as a dynamic mirrors other ships like emisuba (otto is the subaru, subaru is emilia) and remsuba (codependency and sacrificial tendencies :,) ). so this is all gonna be uncomfortably close to home over and over for subaru, otto is allergic to vulnerability too, and otto is once again in the shadow of everything subaru is so. if they want a healthier dynamic everythings gotta be in the light <33333333333 </33333333

anyway and i think in long term either they fix all their shit or they sort of fix it by being Unhealthily Attached At The Hip At All Times. the latter would just be Extra Codependency Speedrun Any % where its like otto if where they live together and spend time together all the time except if they get separated for two seconds the abandonment issues start showing (that subarus had for a long while but ottos been slowcooking since his backstory). they hear the other needs them for something (this happens often) and immediately drops what theyre doing to run over there. they either fight to sacrifice for each other in weird little cold wars or theyre working scarily in sync bc if one person goes the other Always Follows like a damn guard dog. theyre not a duo, theyre one and the same. ottos control freak ass gets to pull subaru around and Protect him. subaru keeps a close eye on otto and Protects him, but lets otto lead him around as much as subaru likes to push otto’s buttons a bit. its kinda like their pre-arc 6 dynamics but dialled alllllllllll the way up. theyd be like the remsuba sort of sweetness where its unhinged af and most definitely not the healthiest thing in the world but if it works it works right ahahahahahahh…..

Ok, now to actually answer your ask!

I do agree that Nana practically did all the work in the house for him. His room is also quite messy as you said 😭 and highly likely, the only reason it gets cleaned up is also Nana (it's even shown at the room previews). There's even that one episode in Future Arc where Haru & Kyoko boycotted them, and they just kept eating instant noodles because they can't cook a proper meal. All in all, that's just how much of a Dame Tsuna he is, being crap at housework as much as he is with school grades.

Though, this doesn't mean he'll just "absolutely" stay like that forever. Just like the growth his character had throughout the entire story and his shows of courage (or just him stepping up when needed) in situations where we know he's scared too, I believe this characteristic of his can also spill over to other aspects of his life which includes something as common as housework. And it's not like he doesn't personally want to grow as a person too, you know?

Another important thing to consider for this is the dynamic between Tsuna and Kurumi (a character who's an added variable to what we initially have as canon, which can affect Tsuna's character as well). A key part of their relationship in general that we want to portray is that they provide each other more opportunities for personal growth. Of course, this includes Tsuna stepping up in taking over for most of the housework.

A nice analogy for this would be when you pair up an introvert and an extreme introvert together for a project, so now the introvert will have to step up their game for the other introvert even if they're bad at it.

So if we apply this example to them, while Tsuna is quite bad at doing housework (with Nana doing it all for him), Kurumi is even way way worse (with having multiple servants at their family's disposal to handle their housework + spoiled even more by her family + whatever black matter cooking fuckery she has going on). In the end, Tsuna is forced to step up his game, for both his and Kurumi's safety in their shared living space. He won't be perfect at it especially during the period when they just moved in together, but at the very least I can see him improving to somewhere around below average to barely average skill, which is as the anime dudebros would call "mid" jfmdhdjdjdhd 🤣🤣🤣

We never really said that he'd be a good housewife material, but instead! ✨He will be Kurumi's housewife when they're together in their home 🙏✨

He won't be able to cook those five-star restaurant steaks for her, but you can at least expect him to cook some fried eggs that are a bit burned on the side (or maybe even underneath lol) - it's still edible. I can see him learning to cook other easy fried dishes or boiled dishes (boiled eggs ftw 👍) or maybe just plain eggs over rice (can you tell i love egg dishes, but I've never tried eggs over rice, I just discovered it in Gin//tama).

Then when he washes the dishes, he definitely broke glass plates or cups while attempting to do so. As time goes on, the frequency of that happening would decrease, but he'll still break a few from time to time. I can imagine even more scenarios but I'll stop there hehe He's not perfect, but he's doing his best!

One can also argue that they can just hire servants (or Kurumi can just bring a maid with her) since they're both Bosses of their respective Families, but they're also the type of characters who wants to live a normal life away from the underworld (at the very least, in their home life). Having "servants" or "guards" is off the list for that! So, it's just the two of them trying to live a simple life together in a comfortable apartment (...as simple as they can. They're not exactly normal people to begin with 💀).

Is it me, or are long text posts just better when the text is shrunk? It's just very pleasing to me for some reason, and I really really like it. Makes me feel calm. I'm trying to recreate that, but uh. I'm running out of things to say. So I'm gonna tell yall some stories. But ✨️aesthetially✨️

First story - so I like playing minecraft. And a while ago I was playing this one survival world(I think it's deleted now but I'm not sure). I'm just wandering a snowy biome and trying to get out of it because I fucking HATE snowy biomes. So I eventually come across this ravine thing? It was like a cave with an opening at the top with a river at the bottom I guess? And I was crouched at the edge of the ravine thing, just looking down it because why not. While I'm doing that, a fucking POLAR BEAR comes from behind me and hits me into the fucking ravine, into the water, so that was fun. I almost drowned because that was a really deep river and a very high edge of the ravine so I almost drowned. :) 👍

Second story - so it's like may of 2020. It's covid, we're at home, etc etc. On our front porch, we have a roof thing over it with pillars at each corner of it. In the corners, where the pillar met the roof thing, a couple of birds made some nests. The one closest to our door was beginning to be made by a chickadee or a finch before a bluejay kicked it out and claimed the nest for itself(that's what my dad said he saw idk). The bluejay hung around for a while, occasionally flying away and bringing sticks or going to eat or something. This went on for like, 2-3 weeks. Then, one night, when my sister and I were waiting on the front porch to be picked up by my nana for a sleepover that weekend, we heard some tweeting from the nest. I saw maybe two baby bluejays, but a couple of days later, my mum said she saw at least four. That was pretty cool until a grackle came by and killed and ate three of the babies. I was pretty sad about that. But after that, I was very careful about watching that last baby when the mum wasn't around. After a good week or so, the baby was pretty grown, and I called him Baby because I was a stupid idiot baby then, and I thought, why not. My mum sat on the porch to smoke a lot in the spring and summer, so she saw the baby try to jump out of the nest multiple times, same as my dad when he sat out there with her, just talking. But one rainy day, I noticed that the baby bird was missing from its nest, and I had thought that he had jumped out and soon figured out how to fly. Or so I thought. Because couple of days later, when it was sunny again, I asked my mum if I could go on my bike. She said yes, so I grabbed the keys to the garage and the side gate. I grabbed my bike out of the garage and walked down the short path while talking to my mum(she sometimes sits out on the deck to smoke) about this dead baby robin I found on the sidewalk while biking one day when I realized I almost RAN OVER THE FUCKING BABAY BLUEJAY. the little fucker was just sitting right in the path without a care in the world. I told Mum, and she went inside to get a towel so we could move him out of the backyard because we had three very big dogs(rest in peace, Tank, I will love you forever) that would probably eat him without a second thought. After about 10 minutes of chasing him around, Mum says to leaving him alone where he was(being in the neighbors front garden, I think). So I go biking for a while and when I come back the little fucker is sitting in the path to the side, on one of those things you'd find in garden shops with bags of dirt on them ig? They were proped up against our garage, and the baby was sitting on the bottom part of it, scaring the living shit out of me. After I put my bike away, I come back to him, and I just sit on the ground in front of him. You know what happened. I fucking pet him. Like the awesome badass i am. He didn't even try to bite me or pull away, either. A few days pass by, and every night, he tries to fly out over our fence(and failing, resulting in faceplanting into the fence). After a while, he managed to climb into our lilac tree and hopped/flew into a bigger tree, and left. Didn't see him again after that. I also renamed him BJ. 👍👍👍

Not the games, nor the show. It's about humans vs. vampires. It has always been about human vs. vampires, or any sort of monster. Yes, N!Isaac had a past of slavery, but 1) it was highly historically inaccurate, since NFCV takes place before the Transatlantic Slave Trade and slaves in that area tended to be European, 2) it was still lowkey racist, as if black people can only be slaves, as if Isaac doesn't have already an in-built backstory of being persecuted for his powers, and 3) it was, at the end of the day, an insignificant factor of NFCV's lore. It justified one antagonist's misanthropy. It wasn't the literal core of the show. Nothing about the original show, let alone the damn games, would lead me to think "mmh, I sure would love to see important, complex historical events played out in this setting!".

Brazillian isekai au????? 👀

NOW I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT IT YESSS

I've talked a little bit about it here, but like. Basically it's a qsmp all where all the Brazilians (+Jaiden and Baghera) got isekai'd and now are on a magical land. But I changed some ideas about the characters so I am gonna talk a little about them here because

Pac: He's based on this character here

He's reborn as the villain of the story, and at first, he can't talk. When he tried to talk, a bunch of dialogue options appear, and he must chose one of them. Later, he discovers how to disable it.

He's also a half bat hybrid bc I like the hc.

On top of people's heads, he sees a heart showing a percentage bar. On “Villain are destined to die” I think it's like a romance bar like in dating simulators, but I haven't read lately so. But anyway I changed some things here.

Sometimes he gets events that tell him that will make the percentage go higher, or to give him money.

He was supposed to marry The Hero of the story, but then he discovers it's Forever and he starts hearing Mike talking to him though a mental link and he just runs away bc he isn't alone now! But isn't weird that both Mike's and Forever's percentage is at 0%?

Cellbit: I wrote an one shot about him and Roier, but basically he is the reborn as himself trope. He is living running away with the Fae Prince, searching for the said prince son, trying to understand what happened. He will also became a Catboy in the future 👍!

Bagi: She's the reborn as an NPC that was supposed to die trope but I am also thinking about her being the “when she dies, she is reborn at her first day on this world” trope. Basically, she wakes up drowning in a river. She is able to get out before something happened to her, and she discovers she is in the demon Kingdom. At first , she tries to get out, but she always end up dying and going back to her first day. This is the first time she decides to stay here.

She ends up getting in a group that wants ti dethrone the demon King, whose lider is Iron Mouse, who used to be the Demon Queen. She starts working in the royal castle (bc they told her family it would help her to get memories back), there she also meets Tina.

She is also a demon 👍

Forever:

He's reborn as the hero of the story. And by that I mean he just woke up in a boat, people were telling him how grateful they were that he would kill the Dragon that was bringing all the problems to this world :(. He has no idea what's happening, he can't get away, and he's just dropped on the Dragon Island, given a sword and told how to kill a dragon.

He tries to find a way to get out, but he can't, so tries to survive. He ends up adopting a Dragon, and names him Richarlyson but. All the dragons know that he is there to kill them, so they aren't making things easy to him.

Mike:

He's reborn as a magma cube, and at first, he's just very confused. Then he meets the Goddess of Creation, and she turn him into a human. He then starts hearing Pac's thoughts, the discover they can talk with their minds, and he goes to find him. He also tells every village he goes about Communism.

He later discover that he was made in a lab, and that slime is his brother. anyways he got fire powers

Felps:

He's based on her:

“Privileged Treatment To The Possessed Person”.

In this manga, this girl she can talk to people who are watching her story, to the god who made her story, she can read the Original Novel, she can train an dget stronger, buy potions. And Felps will be like her 👍

He sometimes talk to them while vibing, he's also technically a saint of this world, but he's mostly digging holes and vibing

I will probably write a fic about them 🙏🙏 I have ideas

KissFM Flashback: Best of Love 1998 R&B / Adult Contemporary / Pop / Soul / Arena Rock / Pop-Rock

Funny thing about this pretty anodyne and somewhat random assortment of love songs from the Warner Elektra Atlantic catalogue that span between the late 70s and late 90s is that, had you not recognized the radio station logo that's on this album's cover, you'd probably have no idea that this was actually a Finnish release. And that seems to be because of two intertwined things: one, naming your radio station Kiss FM is like the equivalent of naming your American town Springfield; like, I'm pretty sure it's the most popular name for a radio station in the entire world, which also makes it the most generic. And because it's the most generic name for a radio station, it also then makes sense that its own tracklist would not provide a single clue as to where this particular Kiss FM station itself was actually located.

Which I guess just also goes to show how generic the market was overall for one of those hit European radio stations that played a mix of 'the hits from yesterday and today' in the late 90s, because not a single song on this release is actually Finnish-made itself, which would definitely lead you to think that it's not actually Finnish when it so totally is! 

But all that said, despite there not being anything to actually individualize this comp from any other similarly-scoped Euro comp out there, this thing nevertheless still manages to kick itself off with a pair of my all-time favorite big hits of 1996: the terrific Todd Terry remix of Everything But the Girl's "Missing," which was not just undoubtedly that year's single biggest commercial house hit, but was one of its biggest radio hits, period, too; and British one-hit wonder Donna Lewis' dreamy and ever-so-soft disco-pop-slow-dance smash, "I Love You Always Forever," which subtly built up all this tension with an unwavering bassline chug that smacked of the stuttering opening seconds from Survivor's own "Eye of the Tiger," and then suddenly released it all with a much louder and very catchy bridge that was outfitted with some handclaps and sharp, rich, and powerful keyboard chords. Sounds like a ballad that Cyndi Lauper might've made had she been born a decade later, and to that same end, a really lovely tune.

And another thing you might be interested in is that if you wanna hear iconic Swedish teen pop producer Max Martin's signature mid-to-late 90s sound applied to something before he managed to launch the Backstreet Boys into the stratosphere himself, there's Papa Dee's euro-reggae-pop cover of P.P. Arnold's "The First Cut Is the Deepest," which has that same smack-clappy backbeat sound that would define much of BSB's own output. Not gonna say that I particularly enjoy this song at all, but it's still intriguing to hear the Martin sound on something else prior to BSB.

And lastly, we have Lutricia McNeal's largely forgotten cover of Barbi Benton's "Ain't That Just the Way." If you dig that softly bouncy, hip hop-laced contemporary R&B sound of the mid-to-late 90s that made the careers of people like Mary J. Blige, Brandy, and Monica, this Oklahoma City native who ended up launching her career in Sweden and scoring this hit there is a good one too. After hitting big in Europe, "Ain't That Just the Way" crossed over here into the States and achieved moderate success as well, and while it never ended up earning itself the Grammy-winning plaudits of something like The Fugees' Lauryn Hill-led cover of Roberta Flack's own Grammy-winning "Killing Me Softly with His Song," I happen to think that the two tunes dovetail pretty perfectly with each other as 1996 R&B companions 👍.

So, a pretty lame Finnish comp of love songs with most of a selection that could fool anyone into thinking that it actually came from any one of a number of stations named Kiss FM in America instead, but nevertheless, some great intercontinentally popular hits from 1996 on here anyway 😌.
