i was taking this huge excercise bike downstairs w my mom yesterday and she got so angry... she went on a rant abt how men design objects like morons and they are focused on building the most powerful machine and making it as big and hulking as possible for maximum energy output and then when she was cleaning it she got mad again bc the pedals had these intricate patterning to help w friction and she was just like yes when you are biking like a maniac in your room you need all this friction otherwise your foot will slip and you will kick yourself in the nose bc you are biking at 100km/h in your living room bc this this whole thing was designed by an idiot who does not think about the object needing some cleaning ever. THEN she was like telling me well at least once your apartment is done you will never have to rely on a man in your life bc you are a lesbian and its good bc men never do any work and she said it bc she was mad at my brother and dad refusing to help lmao... it was just very funny but also this is the feminist discourse we need (lets think about the design of most remodeling tools and excercise equipment and how much of a pain it is to assemble or do the work bc the tool itself is just too big and heavy for a regular woman to handle.... as in its awkward to hold if you are small and have small hands)

Tumblr media
“Y/n, we have to leave now or we’ll be late!” Max yelled from across the house.
“I know, I know, I’m just putting on this last earring!” You called back, sticking the little pin in your ear.
Walking over to the mirror that hung on your door you examined yourself. Everything seemed to look good. You were in a casual summer outfit, and you had put on a smidgen of makeup.
You sprayed one spritz of your favorite perfume, grabbed your bag, then headed out of your room, closing the door behind you.
Walking out into the living room you saw your sister waiting by the front door impatiently. She saw you a burst out laughing.
“What is it this time?” You asked
“Your seriously wearing makeup.” She snorted
“Yes, yes I am.” You replied
“We aren’t going to prom, just to Steve and Robin’s stupid store party.” Your sister Max said, opening the door and heading out to the car.
“Funny, you were the one who begged me to drive you.” You called, closing the front door and locking it.
“I didn’t want to skateboard across town.” She said as you both got into the car.
Starting the car, the radio blasted Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill. You turned it down a bit, but kept it at a decent volume. If there was one thing you and your sister agreed on, it was the best type of music and how loud it needed to be blared.
“Why are you all dolled up anyways?” She asked, turning the dial to lower the volume on the radio a tad.
“I’m not. I wear makeup on a daily basis.” You stated.
“Okay, yeah, but you never wear makeup, perfume, and jewelry. It’s always one of the three.” Max said.
“Well, it’s none of your business.” You quipped
“It’s because of Robin isn’t it.” She teased
You where silent for a second, then asked
“What do you mean?” You asked
“Oh come on Y/n, I see how you glance at her when she’s not looking. Oh, and how you laugh at every single one of her shitty jokes.” Max said
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” You reply
“Hey, I totally support you, I mean, you are my sister so I kind of have to, but still, it’s kinda cool. “ she admitted
“Did you just say I’m cool?” You inquired, a fake gasp coming after your statement.
“I said the fact that you like girls was cool, not you.” She corrected.
“Geez, okay.” You said
“You asked.” Max mumbled.
“Fair.“ You admitted
“She likes you too you know.” Max stated
“What?” You blurted out
“She likes you too?” Max said, annunciating every syllable.
“Liar.” You said
“I heard her talking you Steve about a girl with beautiful (y/e/c) eyes that she liked.” Max layed out her evidence.
“And?” You questioned
“And, I heard her say the girl she likes always laughs at her jokes.” Max added on.
“That still doesn’t mean it’s me!” You laughed, even though here was no joke.
“You. Are. So. Oblivious. You’re the only girl Robin knows that has (y/e/c) eyes and laughs at all her jokes.” Max stated
“I’m sure plenty of girls laugh at her jokes, they’re hilarious.” You defended.
“Her jokes are shit.” Max replied
“They are not!” You exclaimed
“See, you are the only person that thinks that.” Max says
“Well, whatever, it doesn’t even matter.” You said dismissively.
Max gave you a side glance, rolled her eyes, then turned the radio back up.
You two arrived at the VHS store 10 year anniversary party just as Max’s friend’s rose up on their bikes. Your sister hopped out of the car and walked over to the group of boy plus Hopper’s daughter.
You got out of the car and locked the door. Observing the cheap decorations put up outside for the store’s 10 year anniversary.
Walking inside, you noticed the place wasn’t crowded but there was a handful of people. The owner of the shop was working the register and a few other employees were helping some costumers. You looked around for Steve and Robin and saw them in the back next to a table of snacks.
You made a beeline for the food, giving them a quick wave then grabbing a bag of chips and opening it.
“Ya see, I can’t pull any girls if we are next to the snack table. We all know women have one true love, food.” Steve complained, gesturing to you.
“Have you considered that maybe you need to up your game?” You asked, joining standing beside them.
“Have you considered that maybe I tried that.” He said to you.
“The other day I saw him trying to quote Shakespeare to a girl.” Robin told you, a small smile on your face.
You laughed a genuine laugh. Breathing in a gasp of air after you where done. Your nose was filled with Robin’s flower scented perfume. You wanted to breath in again just to smell the sweet smell again, but you realized that might have been weird.
“Stevie, I thought we went over how weird it is quoting a 16 year old boy who killed himself for a 13 year old girl.” You teased him
“Hey, at least that kid got the girl, that’s more than I’ve done in the past 7 months.” He said.
You snorted.
“Y/n, are you wearing lipstick?” Robin asked, turning to face you fully.
“Yes, I, Y/n L/n am wearing lipstick, the horror.” You deadpanned.
“It looks nice on you.” Robin commented
Steve made a fake puking noise.
“Get a room.” He said
“It was one compliment.” Robin stated.
“He’s just bitter because a girl hasn’t told him his hair looks nice today.” You joked
Robin laughed and your ears were filled with the most melodic sound.
“What is today? Make fun of Steve day?” Steve asked
“Nope, that’s everyday.” Dustin said, cutting in.
“Not these little shits, who invited them?” Steve groaned.
“Hey, I thought we were best bro’s?” Dustin asked, a fake hint of offense coming from his voice
“Just because we saved the world twice together doesn’t mean we are best bro’s.” Steve explained.
“I think that’s exactly what that means.“ You agree with Dustin.
-☾❣︎☽-
As the night progresses you move around throughout the store. Talking with other movie lovers who have been coming to this place since it opened. You liked hearing them talk about their favorite movies and why they were so drawn to them. You shared your love for movies as well to others, and even made friends with an older lady who was sisters with one of your favorite actresses. To top it all off the fruit punch they had out was the best fruit punch you had ever tasted. There was something different about it that you couldn’t quite describe, but whatever it was, it was delicious.
Look at the new releases at the front of the store, you scanned for the new movie you had been waiting to come out on tape. Suddenly you heard footsteps from behind you, then an unfamiliar spoke.
“Haven’t seen you around here.”
You turned around and where met with the gaze of a guy. You wouldn’t call him a man, neither a boy. He looked to be about 18 and was wearing a leather men jacket from the local high school. You had seen him before, he was the captain of the basketball team.
“Oh, yeah, I don’t get out much.” You joked.
“Jason.” he said, holding out his hand.
“Y/n.” You said, you didn’t shake his hand. You didn’t like how close he was standing to you.
“You like movies?” He asked you, stepping even closer
“Uh….yeah…you could say that.” You replied, feeling very uncomfortable. You wanted to step back, but the New Releases display was behind you, blocking your path.
“What do you say we watch one together sometime, Y/n.” Jason, the guy, proposed, only inches away from your face.
You had to refrain yourself from cringing. At both his bad breath and his horrible flirting skills.
“I’m okay, you know, I think I’m gonna go-“ You were cut off
Jason grabbed your face, and kissed you. To be honest, your brain malfunctioned. Your head was already cloudy and not working right, but now some random dude kissed you, without asking? What the hell was going on. In those few seconds you felt so overwhelmed. You tried to pull away but he had a strong grip on you. It was barely 25 seconds before something happened, but those 25 seconds felt like forever. His cologne. Was too strong, his fingers digging into your cheek and your arm hurt, a lot.
“Hey asshole, get your hands off of her.” Robin yelled, shoving Jason out of the way.
He got knocked to the ground, but the look on his face was furious.
“I don’t hit girls but-“ He was cut off by Steve throwing a punch down at his face, his head hit the floor with a loud thump.
“Y/n, are you okay?” Robin asked tentatively, looking at you with concern in her eyes.
You didn’t know how to respond, or what to do, so against your best wishes, you felt tears start to pour out of your eyes. Robin gripped your hand gently and led you to the back room of the store, closing the door behind you two and turning on the light.
“I’m so sorry he did that Y/n, I didn’t even know that shithead was here.” Robin apologized, looking upset.
“I-it’s okay, n-n-not your fault.” You spluttered out
“Hey, would it help if I gave you a hug?” She asked, her voice calm and gentle.
“S-sure.” You mumbled.
She embraced you and you had never felt more comforted in your life. You felt your heart starting to slow down, and your tears stopped. She held you for a few minutes, rubbing circles on your back and telling you it was going to be alright.
You both pulled away and she looked at you. Your eyes met, and you wanted to believe there was love in her’s, but you were drunk, what did you know. Your thoughts raced, there where so many things you wanted to say.
“I want to kiss you.” You blurted out, instantly you regretted it. Crap, crap, crap, that damn punch!
“E-excuse me?” Robin stuttered
You sighed, it was already out there, there was no denying it.
“Robin, I like you, like a lot.” You confessed.
“Yeah, as a friend.” She laughed, it sounded a bit bitter though.
“No, as a potential girlfriend.” You corrected.
“You’re drunk.” She said sadly.
“No, I’m in love, with you.” You said
“Y/n, let’s get you home. You’ve had a little too much punch.” She said, shaking her head, taking your hand, and heading leading you out to your car.
-☾❣︎☽-
You woke in the morning to the bright sunlight pouring in your window. The headache you had was worse than anything you had ever felt before. You groaned, and cursed the sun for being so bright. As if all at once, pieces of memories came back when you thought of what you did last night that would cause such a headache.Solid coherent thoughts of events the last night where slipping through your hands faster than water. Oh shit, you had to call Robin, now.
You got up, a little light headed at first, but that didn’t matter. You raced to your house phone and as quick as you could with a horrible hangover dialed her number. One ring, two rings, three rings, she wasn’t going to answer.
“Hello?” You hear a familiar voice say.
“Robin.” You said, letting out a sigh of relief.
“Y/n.” She replied
“What happened last night? I remember but and pieces, but it’s all so foggy.” You asked
There was a long pause before she said.
“You had a little too much punch, some asshole kissed you, and I brought you home.” She summarized.
“Did I say anything stupid while I was drunk?” You asked, hoping what you thought might have happened happened last night.
“You, well, you said something to me, but it’s not a big deal.@ Robin mumbles out an answer.
Oh shit
“What did I say?” You questioned, your worse fear only moments away from coming true.
There was a long pause, gosh it felt like eternity.
“Yousaidyouwereinlovewithme.” Robin blurted out too quickly for you to understand
“Huh?” You asked, needing her to repeat herself.
“Y-you….said you were uhm….inlovewithme, but you were drunk so it doesn’t even matter. Besides, I mean, you probably have a boyfriend or have another guy on your mind who you just Whalen’s told m-.” You cut her off, not letting her finish her rambling.
“Robin, I don’t know about love just yet, but I do like you, a lot.” You told her, a soft smile on your face.
“You mean like, as a best friend?“ She inquired quickly, you almost didn’t catch her words.
“No, I mean as like, a potential girlfriend.” You corrected.
“Oh.” She breathed out.
“I hope this doesn’t mess up our friendship.” You say after a few seconds.
“I like you too Y/n, like a lot.” Robin said calmly.
“Really?” You asked
“Yeah. I mean, for starters you’re beautiful, funny, and you actually laugh at my jokes.” She said
“Does this mean that we’re, dating?” You asked
“Do you wanna be my girlfriend?” Robin asked you
“Of course.” You replied.
“Then I yes, this means we are dating.” Robin stated.
“Steve’s gonna flip when he finds out you pulled a girl before he did.” You joked
“Oh my gosh he will, I have to tell him. We should all meet up and see that movie you’ve been talking about for the past few weeks. Would 7 work?” She rambled off the proposal.
“7 would be great.” You said
“It’s a date!” She exclaimed, and hung up the phone.

WC: 3,744
A/N - this one’s a bit of a rollercoaster. it has three different POV’s so just bear with me please!
masterlist
--------------------
Tumblr media
don't get me wrong, working at the BAU is amazing and definitely has it's perks, but it also has several downsides too. one of those pesky little downsides includes the amount of time off we have.
meaning we don't have much downtime.
this was one of the rare occasions when we were able to have two weeks off, the result of a very strenuous case.
this time was so exciting, spencer and i planned to go out to a movie he'd been dying to see. nobody else wanted to go with him and were being absolute jerks about it, so i automatically stepped up to go with him.
i went to bed the night before we were supposed to go out after showering. i was actually excited to be able to spend some time with him.
i couldn't help but begin to have feelings for him soon after i joined the team. i mean, who would be able to resist those amazing curls, the sweet smile, kind spirit, not to even mention how smart he is.
he didn't know that, of course. and i planned for him to never know. i was able to keep it a secret for 5 and a half years, and i didn't plan on stopping that streak anytime soon. i didn't want to ruin the friendship i had with him by confessing my undying love for him only to confirm my fears of it being unrequited.
i woke up groaning, the effect of an intense pain on my neck, back, and uterus. I almost immediately knew what that meant, sadly.
i ran to the bathroom, only to find my suspicions confirmed. my period has always been irregular but about a year ago, i started getting terrible cramps when it wasn't anywhere close to the time for my period.
i went to the doctor to find out a cyst had grown on my left ovary so i started taking birth control per my doctor's request. the only thing about the birth control i was on was that it made me sick when i was on the green pill, so i had to stop taking it.
not taking it meant my period was always a surprise. but hey... at least i wasn't pregnant i guess.
when i took the birth control, it also lessened the cramps. not taking it also brought them back. sometimes not even the extra strength mydol was able to subside the terrible cramps that would ripple throughout my body.
those cramps meant that i needed to cancel my plans with spencer. i could only hope he wouldn't take it as me not wanting to spend time with him.
although, i certainly didn't want him to see me like this.
i decided i would take a shower in attempt to wash the dirty feeling off of my body. I could just call him after i got out and tell him i have a bug or something.
i took my time washing myself, letting the hot water soothe my aching muscles. cysts normally only affect the uterus area and cause discomfort at most times, but it always becomes severely worse during that time of the month.
luckily, my doctors helped create an appointment for a procedure to remove the cyst. the only catch being that the appointment is still 6 months away.
i finished showering and wrapped a towel around my body before popping two mydol's in my mouth and swallowing. i grabbed my cell and quickly dialed spencer's name.
"Y/N! hi. what's up?" he asked sweetly. i could hear the excitement in his voice.
"hey, spence," i started, already feeling terrible for the sad news. "i won't be able to go out today. i really, really wish i could. i came down with something and don't think i'm well enough to go out. i'm so sorry," i murmured, already regretted having to cancel.
"oh... that's okay. are you alright? do you need me to take you to the doctor?" he asked all worried. i giggled softly.
"no, that's alright, spence. thank you though. i think i'm probably just gonna get some house work done in the meantime," i declared with a sigh.
"you're planning on cleaning when you're sick? another reason to never doubt the strength of a woman, i suppose," he quipped, another laugh erupting from my chest, this one being louder.
"that, spencer reid, is why you're my best friend," i said with a smile.
"that and the fact that you actually listen to my incessant babbling and rambles," he remarked.
"i actually happen to enjoy those rambles, doctor. don't sell yourself short," I demanded in a sweet tone.
"thank you, Y/N. you should get some rest. don't overexert yourself," he said sweetly. "in all the years i've known you you've only been sick a number of times, so i would imagine you really don't feel too well," he declared. "goodbye."
"goodbye, spencer. s-sorry again," I stammered out.
I hung up the phone before actually getting dressed in some proper underwear. I threw on some loose shorts and skipped putting a bra on, my boobs were really sore, opting for just throwing a tank top on.
i started with doing the dishes from last night. the medicine was kind of kicking in, not fully taking the stabbing pain away but lessening it enough to where it would be manageable.
once the dishes were done i started doing the laundry, taking breaks in-between loads. during the breaks i made sure to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.
part of me was debating going to the store to pick up some dark chocolate, ice cream, kale chips, and some chinese, but i decided against it.
i'm sure if i went out i would immediately regret it and have the pain 10x worse, just because that's my luck. so, suffering alone it was.
once i finished all of the laundry, i sat down on the couch. i had been going for about three hours, and definitely felt the toll it was taking on my body.
i turned on FRIENDS and grabbed a heating pad from a bin in my living room. i placed the pad on my upper back and groaned at the heat.
before i knew it, i was dead asleep.
SPENCER'S POV
i didn't buy it.
she never gets sick, and when she does it's like she's dying. she doesn't laugh when she's sick, and her voice wasn't as nasally.
don't get me wrong, something was obviously wrong with her, but she wasn't sick sick. maybe another sick.
what else would cause her to cancel plans with me? she's never done that before.
although, there was one time where she mentioned her needing to go to the doctor for a consult about a cyst. maybe it was the cyst?
wait... her uterus. the cyst was on her uterus.
we were on a case a couple months back, and this unsub was hard to track down. when we managed to figure out where he was, she ended up having to chase him down. she had to run a mile for at least 7 minutes before actually getting him. he was only 25 and was an exercise fanatic.
after catching the guy and bringing him in she had a hard time hiding her discomfort. even at the station, abut an hour later, she was still grabbing her lower stomach in pain. when i asked her what was wrong she told me about the cyst and where it was.
although, the cyst never really affected her energy level since then. she was able to go out on cases and perform perfectly fine.
the only thing that it could've been would be her- ohhh!!
oh...
i should get her something. food. she loves food.
she's probably in a lot of pain right now because of that. she shouldn't have to handle that pain 24/7. she was so sweet, and caring, and generous, and loving, and undeserving of any sort of discomfort.
to be honest, i've had the largest crush on her since after she joined the BAU. who wouldn't?
she's such an amazing person. just being around her lightens my mood. not to mention her beauty. don't get me wrong, i absolutely love her mind and everything about her personality, but the beauty she beholds is beyond anything i've ever encountered. then again, maybe the feelings i have for her boost that beauty in my eyes.
it was that beauty that kept me quiet. why would someone with beauty as ethereal as hers even look at a guy like me? it's like she's not meant for this world. she's too good for this world.
i'm in too deep now to share my feelings. i would do anything to keep her light in my life, even if that meant keeping all my love for her bottled up.
my heart ached at the thought of her in pain that i can't help her subside. the least i could do is be there for her.
i quickly grabbed my keys- yes, that's right. i'm driving for her. what kind of man am i?- and headed out of my apartment.
i went to the grocery store and picked up some of her favorites, dark chocolate, mint chip ice cream, kale chips, and... chinese. she loves chinese, so surely that's what she's craving. if she doesn't want it i would gladly get her whatever it is she does want.
i would give her the entire world if i could.
after picking the items up, i made my way to her place and pulled her key out of my pocket after she didn't answer my knock the first couple times. We had both decided to give each other a copy of our keys for safety purposes, result of me becoming the designated driver after a girl's night out gone wrong.
long story short, all the girls left with someone, leaving Y/N stranded at a heavily populated bar. if the girls weren't drunk when they left then i know i would've scolded them for leaving her in such danger. hell, they were FBI agents and left a friend who wasn't in her right mind alone in the middle of the night.
the only reason i was able to pick her up was because she drunkingly called me, slurring her words together. that's a story for another time.
i held the bags in one hand and the chinese food under my arm while i unlocked the door and quitely walked in. i saw her laying down on the couch, looking so peaceful.
SECOND PERSON
spencer looked at you as you slept. he noticed the heating pad laying on your back as your face was partially smushed from the couch. he'd never seen anything so adorable.
he pushed a strand of hair out of your face as he gently tapped your shoulders to wake you. you squinted at him in confusion for a second before you finally spoke.
"spencer? wh-what're you doing here?" you questioned him in disbelief.
you had no idea why he was here. you had told him you couldn't go out, right?
"me being the amazing profiler i am figured out what was actually wrong," he gloated. "i brought your favorite snacks and came with chinese food. if you want something else i could always go back out and-"
"did you drive?" you squeaked.
"why wouldn't i? you're in pain right now, that's the least i could do to somehow help you," he gushed.
you felt tears pricking your eyes at his confession. how could someone be so selfless and kind as to put themselves though something they hate doing for you?
"hey-hey, what is it?" he worriedly questioned.
"i-it's just... th-that's so sweet, and nice, and you hate driving, and you're such an amazing person, and i don't deserve you," you sniffled out, the tears flowing past my eyes as you sat up on the couch to give him a place to sit.
He grabbed the heating pad that fell off your back and set it on the coffee table before wiping your tears. His arms wrapped around your shoulders as you lightly cried into his shirt for a few minutes before pulling back.
"sorry about your shirt," you whined.
"don't worry about it. and i truly think it's me who doesn't deserve you, Y/N," he said softly. "now, let's dig into the food. i'm actually hungry right now, i had to smell it the entire way here and it's been taunting me ever since," he said seriously, eliciting another laugh out of you. "oh! there she is! i love hearing your laugh," he smiled.
"oh, you're just saying that," you waved him off as he feigned offense with a loud gasp.
"are you accusing me of lying, Y/N? i'm terribly offended," he shot his hand over his heart in an attempt to mock pain as he groaned.
"i would never, spencie," you taunted with a smirk before getting an actual cramp.
your face contorted slightly in pain as you bent over in an attempt to ease the discomfort. it felt like someone was stabbing your entire lower stomach and punching you all at once. the pain and sudden movement made your head begin to throb intensely, so you didn't know where to put your hands. your stomach or head? you chose stomach.
spencer felt horrible as he watched you go through such pain.
"what hurts, Y/N/N? let me help you," spencer pleaded.
"head. really bad," you groaned.
he got behind you as his hands found your temples and began massaging them gently, being able to subside the pain pulsing in your head. while your stomach still hurt, the pain became bearable again, allowing you to sit up and face spencer. he saw that your eyes were full of tears once again and his arms flew around you.
he hated that you had to go through that... every month too? your pain tolerance has always been high, something spencer learned after you got shot in the thigh and didn't even shed a tear, so he knew the fact that tears were in your eyes had meant the pain had to be terrible.
"food?" he said softly, you nodded eagerly, still being wary of the headache.
he went into your kitchen and put away the ice cream, chocolate, and kale chips before getting the chinese. he grabbed you a water bottle from your fridge before exiting the kitchen and sitting beside you on the couch.
"why didn't you tell me they were this bad?" spencer wondered.
"i didn't want you to worry, or see me like this," you shrugged.
it was true, you hated anyone seeing you hurt or weak. you prided yourself on being tough and strong enough to withstand most things. the fact that a measly monthly period was breaking you hurt your ego more than you'd like to admit.
for spencer, he didn't care. the only thing he wanted to do was make sure you were okay and be there for you when you weren't. he was determined to help you through this time. it made him feel... important. he enjoyed caring for others as it gave him a sense of purpose.
"Y/N, i don't care what state you're in. i always enjoy seeing you. and i'm always here to help you. asking for help makes you stronger than you'd think," he soothed you.
one thing you loved about him was that he always had a way with words. he was able to make you feel safe in the most dangerous situations, calm in the most chaotic, comfortable in the most destitute, and all with words.
you ate your food rather quickly after realizing you hadn't eaten all day. you were unashamed of eating that much, too. you'd become so comfortable with him over the years that you didn't feel embarrassed over something as routine as eating as you normally would with others.
after spencer finished eating he insisted on cleaning up rather than you do it yourself.
and to think, you thought you couldn't fall deeper in love with the man and here you were, falling deeper the longer he stayed.
little did you know that spencer was already madly in love with you.
he came back and sat beside you gently, looking at you with the utmost adoration that you couldn't see since you were back to being doubled over in pain.
"let's get you laid down, hmm?" spencer suggested as he gently rubbed your back.
"mhmm," you agreed, sitting up far too quickly. your back shot out in pain as you tried to straighten out, bringing a groan to your lips and causing you to twist your torso in an attempt to avoid any more hurt. "i guess i can just stay here," you said, resuming the doubled-over position.
spencer wanted to cry himself seeing you so defeated. you were the most strong-willed person he knew and here you were, giving up on something. he wouldn't let that happen.
"you'll be more comfortable in the bed. i'll carry you since you can't get up, okay?" spencer suggested.
you hummed in defeat as he swiftly scooped you up, leaving your body folded up as you swung your arms around his neck. he laid you down on the bed gently as you groaned at your back stretching out.
"turn over on your stomach," spencer ordered.
"wh-what? why?" you wondered.
"you'll see when you do it, ms. stubborn-pants," he teased.
you groaned and flopped onto your stomach, reaching to cuddle the pillow your head was resting on. spencer secretly wished he was that pillow.
his hands fell onto your back, applying light pressure right between your shoulder blades.
"ohh, this is what you were gonna do," you hummed in content as his hands continued to work their magic. he gathered your hair and pulled it to the side as he worked his way up to your neck. "ugh that feels amazing, spence," you groaned.
spencer huffed a laugh at your enthusiasm, him being happy that he can subside some of your pain. if doing something as simple as giving you a massage made you happy, he was happy.
spencer worked his hands back down to your shoulders and worked out nearly every single knot on your back. you felt your breathing slow from the relaxation and didn't even realize how good of a distraction your hands on her body were. if only you could massage my boobs, you thought with a laugh.
"umm... what?" spencer questioned.
"hmm?" you questioned, suddenly realizing that you had said that out loud. "i didn't say anything," you said, your voice raising an octave as you spoke.
spencer knew what he had heard, but decided to drop it to make you more comfortable.
"right, sorry," he said with a smile. maybe you did have feelings for him.
he continued the massage and noticed you were asleep after about ten more minutes. He sighed as he watched your hair move with each breath you took. he relished in the fact that he helped you achieve something, that he was useful for something.
"god, i love you so much," he whispered. "i love you so much, i don't even think i could tell you how much i truly love you."
you were awake. you heard him. you heard every word. you were in that weird between stage when you weren't really asleep, but you weren't necessarily awake either.
"i love you too, spencer," you spoke.
spencer shot up at your words, realization hitting him as you stirred in what he assumed was your sleep. you rolled over onto your back and looked into his eyes.
"i love you so, so much, spence," you smiled, noticing the shocked look on his face.
"y-you do?" he babbled.
"of course i do. how could i not?" you quipped, noticing his utter nervousness.
"i-i can't believe it. you love me?"
"how many times do i have to say it? i love you, spencer reid. i love you," you said as the shocked expression on his face turned into one of pure happiness and joy.
"i love you, Y/N Y/L/N. i've loved you for so long..." he trailed off, bringing your body into his arms.
"and fyi, i mean the romantic way if you didn't catch that," you joked.
"good because that's exactly how i meant it," he said, pulling back to look at you once again. "ca-can i kiss you?" he asked as his hands were balanced on the back of your neck.
you nodded eagerly before his lips crashed into yours passionately as you placed your hands on his face. the feeling of his sharp jawline with his scruffy facial hair something you've been wanting to feel against your skin for far too long.
spencer tugged gently at your hair, bringing a soft moan to your lips, allowing his tongue to enter your mouth gingerly. he was immediately granted dominance as you allowed his tongue to travel into your mouth, investigating it thoroughly.
you were both in a state of euphoria as you delved into each other's presence in a new manner. both of you knew this discovery would change your relationship, but you had both gone through every scenario in your minds in the many years' past.
you finally pulled back at another sharp pain in your uterus.
"ouchhh," you grimaced.
"are you okay? what can i do?" he wondered eagerly.
"just cuddle with me?" you asked with pleading eyes.
"of course i can," he smiled.
he moved up to the headboard and laid his head on one of your pillows after getting underneath the covers. after he opened his arms, you rested your head on his chest and threw one arm over his torso, interlacing your legs underneath the sheets. he brought one arm around your waist as the other drew you closer across your shoulders. You nestled your head into his neck and inhaled his comforting scent.
"you smell good," you giggled.
"thank you," he laughed at your compliment.
"spencer?" you asked.
"yea, Y/N?"
"you're my pain reliever."

Jaebum set his pen down as soon as he heard the knock on his office’s door. He wasn’t at all surprised to see Mark entering. Once Mark locked the door behind him, he sank into the chair in front of Jaebum’s desk.
“I need information on Bambam, JB.” Mark’s dark eyes seemed more aloof than normal, Jaebum noted. “You’re close with his family. I know you have records on the kid.” Mark leaned back in the chair.
Jaebum chuckled darkly. “Mark Tuan you’re a motherfucker, you know that?”
Mark raised an eyebrow and grinned.
“So our little deal is only on when it comes to people you don’t know? How ridiculous is that?” Mark stood from the chair and leaned over Jaebum’s desk. “You give me intel on scumbags who deserve worse than jail, and I take them out. That’s the deal. Whatever little stipulations you’re trying to incorporate were never in the agreement. So let me remind you who you’re talking to, Jaebum” Mark’s twisted smile gleamed in the lighting of the office. The Glock he pulled from its place in his belt sat shining on the desk, almost like some kind of trophy. “We’ve been good friends now for quite awhile, and you suffering the consequences for breaching the contract will certainly put a strain on my welfare, but if you don’t give me what I want I won’t hesitate to remind you that we’re not partners. You work for me, not the other way around.”
Jaebum knew not to display any fear despite his fight or flight instincts triggering at the sight of the Glock. He heard Mark loud and clear, but his goal wasn’t to stay on Mark’s agenda. He had his own plan, and Mark was just a pawn.
With a twitch in his eye, Jaebum never broke eye contact with the killer before him.
“What information on Bambam do you need?”
Mark smirked and holstered his gun before sitting back down. “I knew you’d come to your senses. Give me everything you have.”
Hesitantly, Jaebum pulled the file and gave it to Mark.
After Mark left the building, Jaebum picked up his phone and dialed a number he knew very well.
“Bambam, are you in town?”
Bambam was thrown off by the sudden call from his parent‘s good friend. He was off in New York handling business for his new wedding line and wasn’t expecting any calls from Eclipse in his absence, other than you, Jackson, or Yugyeom.
“Jaebum, hello! I’m not, actually. I’m away on business. Why? Is something wrong?” His first thought was of you, he prepared for the worst and was ready to book a flight home as soon as possible.
“Stay away from Eclipse, Bambam.” Jaebum hung the phone up and rubbed his temples.
What the hell am I doing?

Jinyoung scurried away from the door as soon as he heard Mark’s footsteps on the other side. He had heard enough to grasp what was happening, but he was unsure of what to do next. He left the Police Station during his lunch break to talk with his most trusted confidant, Lee Kwang.
He flung the door open to the conference room in a hurry to be met with your eyes and a worried look of Kwang.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, I’ve got major information for you, Kwang. It’s about investigation Phoenix.” Jinyoung rushed his words out.
“Please have a seat, Detective. This is one of my most promising interns, y/n.”
Jinyoung nodded to you and looked back to Professor Lee. “Is it alright to speak of our investigation?” He furrowed his eyebrows.
“Of course. Y/n will be working closely with us on this case, she understands the risks and confidentiality. I believe she is the most capable of my interns to handle an investigation this big. I’ve already briefed her on the issue.”
You grinned proudly at your professor as he spoke of you.
“Alright, well. I overheard a conversation happening between Jaebum and some guy. I couldn’t really make out his name through the door and he left too quickly for me to get a good look at him. But, I got confirmation on what we’ve suspected. The killer and Jaebum are working together. It seems as though Jaebum might be working against his will, but I’m not too sure.” Jinyoung spewed all the information he could remember from earlier.
“Did you get anything recorded? On your phone maybe?” You asked, in hopes he’d say yes.
“Unfortunately no, I didn’t get a good opportunity.”
“This does open a new chapter to the case, but for now there is nothing we can do. Without proof, Jinyoung it’s our word against his. We’d never win in the courtroom.” Professor Lee shook his head. “We need a plan moving forward,”
You nodded, “We need several different aspects of evidence for this kind of case to win in our favor. I mean, we’re trying to take down the entire police force. This is major.” You shuffled several papers in front of you to get to a blank page. Picking up your pen, you began a list. “Detective, we’re going to need you to do a little snooping around,”
“Alright. I’ll do whatever it takes.”
You smiled widely to the man before you. “Perfect. We can’t let them know we’re suspicious, so please act stealthily. If there’s another murder, try to get a picture of the body before the Coroner takes it away. Try to record any conversation between you and the Chief, the Coroner and the Chief, and the possible murderer. Any evidence we can gather on this will help solidify our claims. Look for missing files, things like that.”
Jinyoung nods throughout your speech.
“We suspect the coroner is in on this ‘deal’” Professor Lee adds after you finished.
Ripping out the page, you hand the list to Jinyoung.
Standing and reaching for the door, Jinyoung makes one last remark. “I’ll do my best. I knew something wasn’t right. We will find the killer. I will take down the entire Eclipse Police Force to do it.”

Yugyeom took a deep breath as he opened the door to your apartment. He could never really prepare himself each time he had to stay. It always seemed that the wounds of his past reopened every time he turned the key.
You sat on the balcony, reading over the files Professor Lee gave you on investigation “Phoenix.” You kept all information on the stressful case hidden from view of the three boys that frequented your apartment, but Yugyeom caught glimpses of it every now and then.
“Y/n, I’m back.” Yugyeom spoke softly in an attempt to not scare you.
You closed the file immediately, clutching onto it before getting up.
“I think we should talk, Yugyeom.” You sighed and re-entered the little apartment. You placed the file on the table and sat down on the floor of the kitchen area, a thing you and Yugyeom would do when you were together when one of you needed to rant to the other. He nodded and sat down in front of you.
“After that night, I never thought I could look at you again.” You stared intensely at the white tiles under your legs.
“Y/n, I’m sorry, I-“
“No more apologies, Yugyeom. Just listen,” you pulled your head up to meet the eyes of the man you once loved.
“I think maybe, it was my fault.” You fiddled with the sleeves of your hoodie. “Jackson said to me, ‘you made Yugyeom feel things he’d never felt before.’ Was I just too much?”
Yugyeom felt his sadness physically, the pain sprouting from his heart and through his fingertips.
“No, y/n. You were perfect. You’re still perfect. I don’t know why I couldn’t just- you were so pure, and I-“ Yugyeom had so much to say, but his words failed him and he knew it wouldn’t matter what he said anyway.
You shook your head, and smiled softly.
“Bambam hates you for what you did. He hates that you hurt me so deeply. Yet, he trusts you to keep me safe from some serial killer.” You chuckled. “No killer could hurt me worse than you, Yugyeom.”
You retreated to your room to be left alone with your memories of the night you left Yugyeom.

Mark walked the streets of Eclipse with a cigarette between his lips. He reached Bambam’s empty apartment before his cigarette was finished and rolled his eyes at the thought of putting it out prematurely.
Getting through the door was easier than Mark expected, and walking through the lush carpet left boot prints in the rug. He made a mental note to run his hands through it on the way out to rid any evidence of his presence. He picked up a framed picture of you and Bambam that sat on the coffee table. Mark’s eyes lit at the sight of you, and he grinned at the thought that you were so happy there. He wondered if you really knew who Bambam was, and he was almost sure you didn’t. Someone as pure and innocent as you wouldn’t dare be best friends with guilt ridden scum like Bambam, right? He wandered through the rest of the apartment until he found what he was looking for. He picked up the golden locket that was securely hidden under Bambam’s mattress.
This doesn’t belong to you, spoiled little brat.
Mark turned the locket over to reveal a little ‘4’ etched into the gold. Mark left Bambam’s apartment as the all too familiar voices began to ring out in his head.
Blood
Red
Blood
Red
Mark shook his head aggressively as he walked away from the building.
This wasn’t the time for him to need to kill. Jaebum hadn’t given him anymore names and he really needed to see you. The locket in his pocket felt heavy as the voices grew louder.
He sank to his knees in the street, waiting for his head to settle down.
The next morning he awoke in a pool of sticky blood, and the empty body of a stranger lay dismantled near him.
