#idk just randomly got reminded of smth#so like a couple years ago my grandma set up this like big family get-together where wed all go stay at this like#resort place. but like. the rest of the family was carpooling but we had to get our own ride (none of us can medically get a liscense)#and we had to pay all our own expenses for the trip (grandma & a couple aunts were paying everything else and we are notoriously poor)#AND my moms bf was allowed to come but when i mentioned asking my partner if they wanted to join gma explicitly said#no one else was allowed to bring their boyfriends (gma def understood that my partner is nb)#(i promise u if we did show up both of my similarily aged cousins would be with their bfs no doubt)#so we just didnt go.#and gma threw a little fit#she keeps complaining that we dont spend time as a fam and then purposefully making it difficult for us to join them
