For brides who want to achieve a flawless updo hairstyle with ease and elegance, a wig that has a lace front can be the secret weapon to achieving their dream bridal look.
What is a Wig with Lace Front It is a type of wig construction where the hair strands are hand-tied to a sheer lace base along the front hairline. This creates a natural-looking hairline that blends seamlessly with your own hair, giving the appearance of hair growing directly from the scalp. This type of wig is prized for its realism and versatility, allowing for various styling options, including pulling the hair back into an updo.
Benefits of Using a Lace Front Wig Natural-Looking Hairline One of the most significant advantages of this wig is its ability to create a natural-looking hairline that mimics the appearance of real hair. This seamless integration between the wig and your natural hairline ensures a flawless and undetectable finish, even when styling your hair into an intricate updo for your wedding day.
Versatility in Styling A lace front wig offers unparalleled versatility when it comes to styling your hair for your bridal updo. Whether you prefer a romantic chignon or a bohemian-inspired braided updo, a lace front wig provides a stable and secure base for creating your desired hairstyle without the limitations of your natural hair length or texture.
Secure Fit Unlike traditional wigs, which may shift or slip during wear, a lace front wig provides a secure and comfortable fit that stays in place throughout your wedding day festivities. The sheer lace base conforms to the shape of your head, ensuring a snug and secure fit that will not budge, even as you dance the night away.
Customization Options Lace front wig offers customization options to suit your individual needs and preferences. From choosing the hair color, length, and texture to selecting the density and placement of the hairline, you can create a personalized wig that complements your bridal look and enhances your natural beauty.

The Witcher Braids: S1 E1
Part 1 of (hopefully 8, IN WHICH I attempt to do all the braided styles seen in Netflix’s The Witcher. (Nothing requiring heat -- I’m not attempting cosplay recreations here, I’m just interested in figuring out the braids and recreating them.
I did two styles from episode 1: Marilka’s hair, and Ciri’s “casual court” hair. Reference pictures, my pictures, and ratings scale below the cut.
First up: Marilka, who I wish we’d seen more of. She’s obnoxious and ~~edgy~~ in a completely believable way and I like her a lot.
REFERENCE PICTURES:
The one shot where we would have had a PERFECT view of her hair put an extra right between her and the camera, so this is what we’re working with.
OBSERVATIONS:
Her hair is parted down the middle and softly pulled back into two braids, which are pinned up in two low, separate buns right at the base of the skull.
This definitely looks like two little anchor buns with braided extensions. BUT, that’s the hair that actress Mia McKenna-Bruce was wearing on set, not the hair that our girl Marilka is wearing in Blaviken.
AN ATTEMPT:
Ok, before we start: this is my hair. Medium weight, some waves, mid-back length. (I won’t do this every time, just this first time around.)
Now, Marilka’s hair. This really isn’t a hard style, but unless you have extremely long hair that’s thicker than mine or choose to use extensions, you probably won’t get the bulk we see on Marilka’s braided buns. I fluffed out both my braids and pinned them laterally against my head instead of sticking out, like the reference picture, and they’re still rather delicate.
(Sorry for the weird pose, but I remembered my place of employ was listed on my sweatshirt and didn’t feel like removing it.)
RATINGS:
Difficulty: 2/10. You just have to make braids, then pin them to your head in a circular fashion. This is probably harder in-universe, unless there’s some bobby-pin manufacturer on the Continent that I’m unaware of.
Practicality/appropriateness: 9/10. Easy! Practical! Knocked a point off because it lets lots of whispies fly around your face and requires lots of pins.
Bobby pins required: 6, plus two clear hair ties.

PRINCESS CIRILA’S ‘CASUAL COURT’ HAIR
REFERENCE PICTURES:
This was a dratted difficult thing to get a picture of. This is the best I’ve got. (There may be promo pics of this hairstyle, but I doubted they’d have the back visible so I didn’t bother looking.)
OBSERVATIONS:
The first thing that stands out is how this half-back style mirrors Geralt’s.
Huh.
I’m sure that doesn’t mean anything.
As far as I can tell, this is a dutch braid, started right at the hairline and with small bits added at a time.
EDIT: It occurred to me that the new parts of the braid might not be added, they might be swapped out, with the old ones getting dropped. This would make for a smaller braid, but when I tried it it was much harder to keep the tension. Also, it was a hot mess.
AN ATTEMPT:
I’m not sure if this is Freya Allan’s hair or a wig, but either way, I learned quickly that Ciri’s hair is much thinner than mine.
(The awkward ‘Venus in the Half Shell’ hands are back. I’ll wear something unbranded next time.)
This braid is much thicker on my hair than in the reference pictures, to the point where I thought I might have misinterpreted the style. But no, I think that Ciri’s hair is baby-fine.
You can see how my braid pulls off the side a bit at the top -- I prefer adding large chunks at a time when I style my own hair, and adding small bits meant it got a bit wonky.
Difficulty: 6/10. Not terrible, but a dutch braid isn’t exactly beginner stuff, especially such a delicate one and on your own head.
Practicality/appropriateness: 10/10. Listen, it’s not appropriate for *me*, but I think it’s great for Ciri. It’s princess-ly without being showy, it keeps your hair out of your face, it’s quick.
Bobby pins required: none. one clear hair tie.
*
*
*
*
STUFF I LEFT OUT
I skipped the funky looking braids the naked ladies were wearing. Renfri’s hair isn’t braided.
Ciri and Calanthe both have more formal up-dos during this episode, but we don’t get good looks at them, and they both require ornaments I don’t have. Also, since Calanthe’s hair is so dark, it’s hard for me to make out details unless the lighting in the scene is quite bright. Which it rarely is.

Nopelander...revisting an old post
I still see sooo much Outlander stuff on my dash so I thought I’d share my thoughts on Season 4. I don’t have high hopes for S5 and even though I said I was done, I am still curious. Hanging around to see how it turns out is different than being a die hard fan, which I was. Its amazing to me that the built-in fan base and super hot chemistry between the 2 leads could fizzle out to a boring, flat, emotionless promotion. The Fiery Cross is very focused on Roger and Brianna (with Jamie and Claire always watching an guiding which is a gift for those who crave a stable family life...and is too subtle and nuanced for these OL writers to grasp) so the magic of the show that was Jamie and Claire is no more. Here is what I had to say about the S4 finale. tl:dr OL used to be great, and instead of writing it as the romance-fantasy that it is, they subscribed to the theory that drama and plot are more interesting than nuanced intimacy and in doing so drained it of its charm and energy while at the same time bashed fans for not being happy about it.
Production ruined the magic that was Outlander in such a stumbling, amateurish, way. First off, they do not understand Jamie and Claire, who are soul mates, as well as best friends. They love making each other laugh and share many inside jokes. They know life is hard but as long as they can connect with each other, they’ll get through anything. In the show their relationship is tenuous and they never realistically comfort one another. Touching each other’s jaw line in lieu of good dialogue is just irritating. 2nd, the wigs take you out of the story, immediately. Why did that not concern anyone? Sam Heughan is a gorgeous man but I snort every time we see that alpaca hair. The only time I can take him seriously is when he is wearing a tri-corn. Claire’s hair looks passable from far away but up close it’s like, holy hairline! It really bothers me that this was not important to production. Jamie had shaggy hair in S1 because he was growing out a buzz cut he got at the Abbey, not because he liked having fringe. If they are trying to recreate S1 hair they have failed spectacularly.
Season Finale: Rescuing Dog Face. I want to care, but I don’t. Roger and Bree do not have an established or believable relationship. He showed up with his Paul McCartney hair in Boston and the writers decided he loved her and that’s all it’s based on. There is no chemistry between them but there isn’t any conversation, either. She is apathetic. We’ll never know how Sophie would deliver well written dialogue but with her somnolent, emotionless, delivery my guess is it wouldn’t have helped. Maybe they limited her dialogue because she couldn’t manage more than a few words at a time. Imagine the stirring ‘He’s real…I know’ or the riveting ‘You’re here’ with a modicum of energy. I know, it’s just as bad. She was miscast, obviously. They couldn’t have found a tall, American actress with dual UK/USA citizenship with an Equity card? Hey Bree: In the show, Roger humiliated then abandoned you at the Clan gathering because you didn’t want to marry him. He then had a relationship with you --in his mind--, while you were living on your own and trying to keep your eyes from closing while you talked. Why do you love him? Back to Roger. A group of people are going against their own tribe to rescue Dog Face and risk alienation from said tribe just to get a stone they could have just taken from Claire? Come on. The tribe had sentries posted when Jamie and Claire were approaching but everyone had the night off to gather around for the drumming circle? The one guy watching the idiot tent gets clubbed (is he dead? We don’t know) by Jamie and no one notices? Finally the jig is up and the resulting scramble to “reach the river” is so laughably amateurish that I imagined the camera guy laughing like you do when you’re filming your friends in the backyard trying to recreate the Aragorn/Nazgul fight scene from the LOTR. Thankfully, Claire was there to bring a sensible end to it all with a very effective “Its ovah”. Even the Mohawk warriors were impressed. So did they all sleep in the idiot tent that night, or what? And Roger isn’t totally amazed looking at Claire and Jamie, together? No? He just cowers in her clutches. At least he’s not wearing those absolutely ridiculous but completely historically accurate culottes anymore. The Birth: Everyone complaining about this is correct. Claire would never have allowed her daughter to go through child birth in the 18th century without her. I don’t understand why the writers made this decision. That whole birthing chair thing was cringe worthy. Jocasta and her hand-made silk dress isn’t going to be assisting at a freaking birth. (I just kept seeing a thought bubble above Sophie that said “I should have stuck to dance”. I don’t think she’s enjoying Outlander that much.) In the book, while Bree is asking Jamie to stay for the birth, he pleadingly looks to Claire like ‘what do I do’ because, while he’s heard a lot of birthing going on, he’s never been asked to assist. It shows their complete unison as a team, their trust in each other, and it’s cute to see Jamie out of his element a little. More importantly, Jamie got to experience his grandchild with his heart burst wide open and he reveled in it. The dialogue in the book is touching and funny and it resonates because its tied to emotions that have long been been building. Jemmy is the catalyst for healing many of Jamie’s wounds regarding his children. He is the balm for his soul. In the show, Jamie barely acknowledges the baby. But here, blind Auntie --who in the show uses a cane-- you take the baby. Don’t hurt him with the giant brooch thing you are wearing. And don’t walk anywhere. Just stand there. Don’t you go dyin’ on me! Here’s the other thing: Bree loves her baby from the start. She makes that decision early on. When Jemmy is born she is completely devoted to him and his care. She wouldn’t be sitting in a room by herself while her baby is hanging with a bunch of people who seem to be just standing around in a circle.
Back to the book for a second: When Roger finally shows up, Bree is not broken. She’s besotted with her son and enjoying the loving embrace of her family. She’s whole. I like that Bree. She’s got a good heart. As much as I miss the humor between Jamie and Claire, I didn’t want to hear Sam call Claire “Granny” unless it was with a twinkle in his eye after he comes to the realization that this is the first time she’ll be called that, and it’s the first time he gets to say it. I hate book dialogue spoken with no depth or understanding of the moment. Intimacy is what DG gets so right in the books and I don’t like hearing actual lines unless it carries some weight, I’m looking at you “Turtle Soup” (cringe). Murtagh: When he jumped off that wagon I was like…Duncan LaCroix is just loving the shit out of this. I don’t like the Regulator plot because they are shit stirrers who like to argue and ruin gatherings. Murtagh should be sticking to his vow, which was to protect Jamie. These are 18th century people, they took that shit seriously. The fight with Jocasta was hilarious but when she said ‘let’s get breakfast’ and they pan over to Murtagh and he’s all laid out on the bed like ‘here’s your freakin’ breakfast, with sausage’ I laughed so hard I had to pause it, drink some water and pull myself together. I was dying. It wasn’t as funny the second time because I knew it was coming but the first time it was like I could see Duncan turning up that sexy vibe to 11 and it was both funny and ridiculous, and he knew it. Rogers Choice: They should have made Roger a man of worth by having him immediately want to go to Bree. If you freaking love her so much it wouldn’t be an issue. What is she going to do, choose Bonnet over you? It should have been with no hesitation. It would have redeemed him, gave the search and rescue a satisfying conclusion, and saved us from yet another use of the two lovers running toward each other imagery. The music was so cliché I have to wonder if Bear is just picking stuff off a spotify muzak playlist. It’s clear that the show has lapsed into soap opera territory. Sam’s face when he said he had to –takes off glasses-- kill Murtagh wasn’t full on Drake Ramoray, but it was teetering close to it. Poor Outlander. You had the rare combination of chemistry, beauty, and talent combined with an eager and knowledgeable fan base and you reduced it to a strange wooden version of itself. Dedicated fans are leaving. I’m done. These writers are not smart or creative enough to chisel down The Fiery Cross. So much times passes during the gathering that surely Jamie will have outgrown his bangs, but of course he won’t. He just keeps hacking at them and I don’t want to stick around to watch.
Post Scriptum: Drinking game idea: Anytime anyone says Fraser’s Ridge. I mean, who talks like that? You’d say, ‘lets go home’. No one spouts the address when they reference home. ‘Where are you going?’ ‘123 State Street, where I live’.
Post, post Scriptum: You could also have a drinking game for every time Claire crosses her arms but you’d better have plenty of libations on hand. post post post scriptum: Sam and Cait are tired of Outlander and can’t wait for it to be over.

We’ll rise up - Chapter 10 - We’ll find a way.
Previously Chapter 9
This story starts here and you can find the master list with all chapters here!
Jamie heard the church bells spread their sweet heavy chimes thrice.
One more hour.
There would probably be no chimes in the air in the years to come. The corruption of the church and the higher clergy wealth were more than obvious and most obnoxious to the people. Jamie didn’t mind about the Catholicism in France. He was raised a Catholic but the ministry of the church in France was now far from being holy. The clergy were becoming the First Estate of the realm and this had nothing to do with the word of God. The church was the largest landowner of the country and making a tremendous income from the outrageous taxes given from its tenants -- tenants that didn’t have enough to feed themselves and their families. Jamie had heard that it was a plan of the Revolution to abolish the privileges of the First and Second Estate. When done, the church would finally lose its power on people’s lives. They would be free of its rein and maybe the clergy found their way back to God.
But the pealing of the bells was a thing on its own. Jamie liked the bells. They provided stability and normality, a reference point during the day. Their sound filled the air as if it was solid, filling each and every empty space in the atmosphere with purity and hope. Hearing them was a gift of peace and he always had that strange feeling that they were ringing just for him. Following him around during the day, they were always there, invisible but strong and filled his heart with an inexplicable optimism.
That sound would soon to be no more and even though it would be a pity to lose their beautiful chimes, the joy of losing their master’s effect in human lives was making him anticipate that day with all his heart.
For now, the bells were aiding his counting of the hours passing; the hours separating him from Claire.
He’d been eager to leave the wineshop since morning and he’d already asked Murtagh – as nonchalantly as possible – if he knew where Master Raymond’s apothecary was. The man gave him one of his usual frowns but answered nonetheless. Before he could make inquiries of his own, Jamie engaged a client in conversation all the while planning his escape. If Murtagh was right, he would need less than fifteen minutes to reach the apothecary from the wineshop. He would start earlier than this, though. He didn’t want to be late and have Claire wait for him.
A little after half-past three he made to collect his coat and leave.
“Where d’ ye think ye go lad?” Murtagh asked, seeing Jamie from the corner of his eye. So much for avoiding him all day.
“I thought I could take a break, a goistidh. I’m working since dawn, aye?” Jamie replied with an innocent look.
“Ye’re working since two hours past down, lad. If ye recall I couldna wake ye up this morning. And from the moment ye’re on yer feet ye didna stop smiling and whistling, ye wee gomerel.”
“Aye, ‘tis that a crime then?” Jamie asked, grinning even now.
“’Tis no crime but I canna say ‘tis good and well either. Jamie lad. What d’ye have in mind?”
“Nothing.” Jamie shrugged and attempted to change the subject “Are we expecting another batch of red wine today?”
Murtagh replied with a nebulous “Mmmphmm”, totally ignoring Jamie’s attempt for a fresh conversation. “Ye met wi’ Annalise yesterday? Is she the reason for yer...” Murtagh gestured at his face with a frown.
“Annalise?” Jamie couldn’t hide his surprise. When he realized that he had actually seen Annalise the day before, he nodded. “Aye, we met.”.
“Ye’re in love wi’ the lass then?” Murtagh was frowning, his black eyebrows almost connected.
Jamie couldn’t but only laugh at that. “I dinna give a fig about the lass Murtagh – in a personal manner that is.” He looked Murtagh in the eye and continued somberly. “She’s alright, I s’pose. But ye know that I am seeing her as… a matter of business.”
“Aye, business ye say and business is what I knew. Till yesterday, that is. But now wi’ ye smiling like the cheetie that got the cream…”
“Well, her skin is like cream,” Jamie whispered too low for Murtagh to hear. “I have to go man, dinna fash, aye?” he said louder, facing a worried Murtagh. He was still grinning when he headed to the door.
“We’ll talk when ye come back, d’ ye hear me lad?” he heard Murtagh’s determined voice from the back of the shop.
“Aye, we’ll do!” he answered with a huge smile in his face.
Jamie ascended the numerous stairs leading to Master Raymond’s apothecary by two or even three at a time. His pulse was pounding in his temples and he had to stop and compose himself before entering the shop. He didn’t know who this Master Raymond was, but it seemed that Claire trusted him and Jamie wanted to make a good impression on the man.
The little bell above the carved wooden door rang and Jamie stopped in his tracks, trying to adjust in the apothecary’s darkness. Little bottles labeled with nice calligraphic letters were sitting on shelves all around him, clean and orderly, and a life-size crocodile was hanging from the ceiling.
Well, that was eccentric, at least.
A huge wooden counter divided the shop into two parts and Jamie saw a young woman behind it, watching him.
“Puis-je vous aider??” she asked with a kind voice.
“I’m looking for…” Jamie trailed off. Whom should he ask for? Claire? Raymond?
A small door opened at the back of the shop and a short, stout man walked towards him. He was well dressed and wore a wig, and smiled with friendly eyes while approaching. Jamie thought that he was as close to a frog as any human could ever look like, but tried to diminish such reflections from his mind.
“Bonjour monsieur,” the frog – no, not frog – the man greeted with a small nod of his head.
“Bonjour. Ye must be Master Raymond?” Jamie smiled back at him.
“Indeed I am. And judging from your accent you must be James, no?”
Jamie nodded grinning. Claire had talked to this man about him!
“So how may I help you James? Is there something specific that you need?”
Quite specific, Jamie thought. And what an exceptional choice of a verb. Need. That was true enough; he needed to see Claire as much as he needed water to sustain him alive.
A light cough brought his thoughts back to the apothecary. Master Raymond was smiling at him with a knowing look in his eyes that made Jamie blush. Shaking his head he whispered, “ah, l’amour,” and with a slight move of his eyebrows, he asked Jamie to follow him to the back of the shop.
Master Raymond opened the same door he’d used to enter the main apothecary space and a second room was revealed to Jamie. The door frame was a bit small and he had to duck as he came through it. The moment he entered the room his eyebrows shot so high, they almost touched his hairline. And Jamie had a big brow, to be sure.
Skulls and bones were all around him, placed in immaculate clean dark wooden shelves, looking at him with black holes instead of eyes. He instantly remembered the crocodile in the other room and decided that the amicable frog-like apothecary had a macabre side as well; or a queer sense of humour. The fossils belonged to various animals and the fact that -- at least -- none of them seemed human made Jamie feel a bit better. Tiny similar skulls were standing one next to the other while huge skulls from animals Jamie had only seen as pictures in books were in spots reserved to highlight their superiority. Everything was placed with such care, giving the sense that the owner valued each of the exhibits as a treasure. Absentmindedly, Jamie stood by the door and stared around the room.
A light touch on his palm made him turn his eyes, only to be captured from the most alluring panther-like eyes looking back at him. His heart missed a bit and then he sighed with relief.
Claire, safe, with him and her amber eyes looking into his.
Jamie smiled and instinctively raised his free hand to tuck a stray curl behind Claire’s ear.
“Hello,” he whispered and his fingers lingered a bit on her jawline, feeling her smooth creamy skin. How right Murtagh was, even without knowing a thing!
With her lips in a smile, she responded with the most beautiful “hello” he’d ever heard.
“I’m leaving you two now, but please behave!” Master Raymond said with a laugh while heading to the door.
Claire gave him a look and his smile grew bigger. “Just remember, mon chéri, you don’t have much time.”
“I know, Raymond.” Claire nodded gravely. “I know.”
With her hand still engulfed in Jamie’s she led him to a bench at the far side of the room.
“Interesting meeting point, Sassenach,” Jamie stated, looking around.
Claire laughed. “Master Raymond is not your common apothecary, to be sure.”
“What are all these, Claire? How come he possesses such things?”
“Oh, these are his pride and joy, or so he says. He will be delighted if you ask him about any of these fossils but he never talks about where and how he found them.”
“He’s a strange fellow. D’ ye know him well, lass?”
“Yes Jamie, he might be different but I can reassure you that he is never going to hurt us,”
Us. She couldn’t give him a greater gift. Every time Claire talked about them as one, the blood in his veins started dancing. With both his hands enveloping hers he accepted her reassurance. “How are you, Claire? Fergus? How are things in Saint Antoine?” he asked in one breath.
Claire laughed and squeezed his hand. “As you left them, yesternight.” Taking a stern look, she continued. “You shouldn’t come, Jamie. You should never come again.”
“I couldna but come, Claire, ye dinna understand? How could I sleep knowing ye might be in danger?”
“Coming in Saint Antoine puts yourself in danger Jamie,” she scolded.
“Not at night!”
“What if someone saw you αnd asked me about you today? What could I possibly say to explain things?”
“Ye could say I was sick,” he retorted with a smirk.
“Jamie! You surely understand this isn’t the point!” Claire said, rolling her eyes.
“Aye, I do. I had to see ye and I came and I don’t regret it a bit.” He stopped, feeling all his confidence leaving him in an instant. “Did ye regret it, Claire?”
Maybe that’s why she didn’t want him back again.
Claire ran her fingers on his cheekbones lightly before closing the distance between them. When her hand reached the nape of his neck she pulled him to her lips and kissed him, softly and tenderly, to persuade him of her opinion.
Their kiss was long, but not enough. It seemed it was never enough.
With lips parted, hands tightly intertwined and chests heaving, they stared each other for some minutes without saying anything. Between them, it seemed that words weren’t enough either.
But they had to talk. To finish what they’d started in the park and find out what their next step was going to be.
“Who was the man in the park, Claire?” Jamie asked in a low voice.
“What did he tell you after I left?” Claire asked troubled.
“Nothing. He just looked at me, as if he sorted me in a category in his head, nodded and left with an ‘Excusez moi, monsieur’. Who is he?” Jamie insisted.
Claire took a breath and replied with tight lips while gazing at the floor. “Randall. Frank Randall. He’s a historian. He was a colleague of my uncle”.
“And?” Jamie encouraged her to continue.
“And he wanted to marry me,” she said, raising her head not to miss his reaction.
Jamie swallowed hard, trying to speak calmly and not show the pain that ran through his chest. “Are ye promised to him Sassenach?”
To his relief, her eyes became big as saucers. “No! Of course not! I’d never accepted him and he has no right on me!”
“Maybe ye didn’t, but yer uncle… Ye said they were colleagues.”
“Lamb would never do that. He told him to ask me and when he did, I refused. But he insisted. He couldn’t let it go. He would come again and again, trying to convince me of my grave mistake. I think he took it personally. It wasn’t about me anymore, it was about rejecting him. I had to leave everything behind and move to Saint Antoine for him to lose track of me completely. And it’d been nine years since I last saw him.”
Jamie said nothing but kept nodding, his brow furrowed in thought.
“Jamie, I thought he wouldn’t recognize me yesterday. We had to leave and he lingered there… I didn’t have a choice.”
“I ken that, Sassenach. We were unlucky yesterday. D’ ye think that he’ll search for ye, now that he knows ye’re in Paris, still?”
“I don’t know, Jamie. But he surely can’t come at Saint Antoine!”
“No, he canna. But he could send someone, no?”
“I guess so,” Claire said and Jamie felt the urge to take her in his arms and never let her be a step away from him. But that was still impossible.
Thinking how he could keep her safe, he came to his last resort, the least preferable but the only plausible option. “Ye have to be careful from now on, Sassenach. Be alert. If someone follows ye, ye have to stay close at home and always keep a company there around ye.”
Claire, with a sorrowful expression in her face, sighed. “Hiding again,” she murmured.
“There is no other way,” Jamie replied stroking her hand reassuringly. “I wish I could just take ye with me, mo mighean donn,” he resumed with a rueful smile. “But this will make everything more complicated and maybe it’ll be easier for him to find ye that way.”
She nodded without a word.
“I’ll keep ye safe, Claire. I promise. We’ll find a way out of this.” With two fingers under her chin, Jamie tilting her face to bring her lips closer and kissed her, burying his desperation and putting all his encouragement in his kiss.
“And who will keep you safe?” she asked after the kiss, in higher spirits now.
“Your kiss, Sassenach.”
“Oh, a warrior and a poet! What am I to do with you, James Fraser?” Claire was smiling, lightening all the dark space around her.
Marry me.
He’d almost said it. There, amidst the skulls and the bones of long-dead animals, he’d almost asked her to marry him.
Not now ye clotheid. It’s not the time yet.
Instead, he opened his arms and engulfed her in a hug, with her cheek touching his chest and their hearts beating as one.
“Jamie?” she asked and raised her head to look at him again. “What have you done with the Comte? Did you manage to learn anything?”
“Nothing yet. I hope I’ll learn something in the promenade the day after tomorrow.”
“I was just thinking that if I remember correctly he had a châteaux in Maine. Maybe you could check if he went there.”
“Aye, that’s great information Sassenach. Thank ye, I’ll see to it. I dinna ken how long he’s going to last in Maine, though. People there took arms and support the revolution, ye ken,” he smiled, satisfied with the spreading of the revolution.
Claire smiled. “Glad I could help, Jamie.” She then added, with concern in her eyes, ”Are you going to the promenade alone?”
Now how d’ye answer this one?
“No,” Jamie replied feeling uncomfortable. “I will accompany Annalise, Claire, but –”
“It’s alright, Jamie, I know. I just wanted to know”. Her reply was firm and her lips pressed tightly together.
“I wish I didna have to do this,” he confessed, with slumped shoulders.
“I know,” Claire repeated, with a sad smile. With a sigh, she brushed her hair from her face. “We have to go. You stayed much too long in here for a wine salesman.”
Jamie snorted. “Are we meeting again tomorrow, here?”
“I don’t know Jamie. Maybe not tomorrow – if someone saw us today we’ll be making it way too easy for him. Maybe wait for a while?”
She’d better told him that he’d had to carry all the wine barrels from the warehouse to the shop for the rest of the year by himself. But she was right.
“Where is the wineshop?” she asked with a flash in her eyes.
Jamie looked at her, bewildered. “Claire, ye canna come to the wineshop, ye surely know that.”
“I can’t. But I know someone who can!” she winked at him and when his frown didn’t leave his brow, she explained. “Cl-“ she shook her head. “Fergus!”
Jamie smiled and took her in his arms again, telling her the location of the shop. “Tell him to ask for me or Murtagh, aye?”
“Aye,” she mocked him.
“Making fun of me, lass?” Jamie asked and with a hand on her waist pulled her closer to him.
“I most certainly am!”
“Well then, ye’ll have to pay for that!” He kissed her fiercely, first with mirth and then with passion, until they had no more breath.
“I’ll wait for Fergus, Sassenach. And I’ll think of ye.” Jamie took two steps backwards and bowed to her before turning to leave.
He kept his eyes on her as long as possible, to commit her in his memory -- with red lips and rosy cheeks, smiling at him.

Chapter 3
Waking up to the smell of bacon and the barking of dogs was both reassuring and haunting. He shot up from the bed, hair flopping all around, but a quick scan of his surroundings made him calm down.
“What time is it?” He groaned his way out of bed, dragging his feet to the boxes to pull on a pair of pajama trousers and a new shirt. A knock to the door made him jump slightly.
“Are you decent?” Jin’s voice was a little muffled by the door, but still melodious as all hell. A shrill bark accompanied the question, followed by a hushed reprimand from Jin. “Breakfast is ready.”
Hoseok groaned once more, stretching in such a way that his back cracked in one fell swoop before opening the door with a sleepy smile. “Mornin’.”
Jin’s smile was bright and wide awake, and a small grey ball of fluff was jumping up at Hoseok, tongue out and tail wagging. “Good morning. This is Odeng, and Eomuk is with Joon in the kitchen.” Hoseok followed Jin to the kitchen, blinking rapidly at the relatively bright sunshine, trying to get his eyes accustomed to the light. When he finally got his eyes to focus, he saw Joon sitting at the table. Joon was dressed in soft pastels, hair tied back in a simple braid, unlike yesterday’s French, pierced ears boasting bigger and thinner hoops and chains, more feminine than the ones yesterday. The open-front pink jumper was draped over a black shirt the Hoseok had seen employees use at FOPP with a nametag on the front saying My name is Joon, with a little washable marker addendum (she/her).
“Good morning! You out-slept all of us.” Joon said, a beaming smile on her face. Another pomeranian was sitting at her stockinged feet, white kneesocks matching the pale cream skirt she was wearing, and the pom was the same grey as Odeng.
“I was kinda tired.” Hoseok mumbled, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to clear them of sleep. “I’m a pretty deep sleeper, too, so I didn’t hear anything.”
“Good, because Joon snores really loudly.” Jin had walked to the stove during Hoseok and Joon’s interaction, a low chuckle escaping the man. “It’s one of the things we have a separate savings account for, surgery for Joon’s bridge.”
Hoseok winced, sitting down in front of Joon. The makeup she was wearing was minimal, lipgloss and a swipe of soft pink on her eyelids, very unlike Jin’s makeup in the club.
“It hasn’t gotten any worse, but it’s annoying.” She shrugged and checked her watch, sighing. “Speaking of annoying, I have to go to work.” With a final drink from the coffee cup in front of her, Joon stood up and walked to Jin, giving him a kiss on the cheek and waving goodbye to Hoseok, who waved back. “I’ll see you at the bar, Jinnie.”
“I’ll bring your uniform.”
The door clicked closed and Hoseok looked at Jin plating a generous but smaller portion of scrambled eggs on toast, bringing it to Hoseok alongside a cup of coffee.
“Do you want to come to the bar again tonight? Have a cute time with the brats? I’m pretty sure Jimin wants to do your face.” Jin chuckled, sitting down across from Hoseok.
“Oh, wow. You know, I’d let him. And, yeah, that’d be nice.” He took a sip from his coffee, licking his teeth. “I’m actually surprised that I’d never really heard about the club until yesterday.”
Jin let out a deep sigh, rubbing his chin slowly. “It’s not the biggest club in Soho, and to be honest it barely is a club, it’s more like a speakeasy. We’re in absolutely desperate need of exposure and staff. Kook is our only bartender.”
Hoseok choked on the mouthful of honestly absolutely delicious scrambled eggs. Only one bartender? Were they that desperate, and with such good ideas? “Wait, seriously?”
Jin nodded, fiddling around with the cup that Joon had left behind. It was heavily chipped and small cracks could be seen on the surface. “Yeah, we’ve lost some of the girls and even with Tae and Jimin still here, they bring in a good crowd, Sugar is barely scraping by with this club. The burlesque makes good money, but whenever we try to diversify with a more relaxed evening, it just doesn’t work that well.”
Hoseok swallowed his mouthful with difficulty, an unusual feeling of worry settling into his belly. Something about Jin’s solemn and melancholy expression was heartwrenching. From what he’d told Hoseok last night, Sugar’s bar was his home, and everyone there was family. Losing it would mean losing passion and some extra money to put into Joon’s surgery and money to be able to keep the dogs well-fed.
“I’ve been looking for an extra job. I was a waiter during Uni, Jungkook could teach me how to bartend.” Hoseok rasped out, nervous energy thrumming through his veins.
Jin’s eyes widened, and he let out a soft sound, of what, Hoseok wasn’t sure. “Oh, you don’t have to do that-”
“But I want to. I need more money anyway, and if I’m staying here indefinitely I should help with the rent, at least until I can get back on my feet, and the bar is such a welcoming environment.” Hoseok was hovering a couple of centimeters from his seat, hands pressed against the wooden tabletop. He fell back into the chair, some of the energy leaving him after the outburst. Jin let out a soft laugh, and he ran a hand through his hair.
“Oh, alright. Sugar is gonna be at the bar, he always is. He gets ready with us.” Jin swirled around his coffee in the cup, a soft smile on his pink lips. “Who knows, maybe he’d even rope you in to performing with us.”
---
Walking into the bar before it even opened was a new experience. House lights were on, and now Hoseok could see how run-down the place actually looked. There were cracks in the ceiling and the bar was irreparably stained.
“Woah.”
Jin looked at him and sighed, pulling the duffel bag with his and Joon’s clothes for tonight higher up on his shoulder. “Oh, yeah. It’s a bit worse for wear, but, it’s home.”
“Ain’t that true!”
Hoseok whirled around to give Jimin a wide smile, making the younger smile even wider than he already was, eyes turning into slits.
“Did Jin tell you I want to do your face?”
Hoseok nodded, rubbing the back of his neck slowly. “Ah, yeah, he did.” He tried to avoid looking into the big, wide puppy-dog eyes that Jimin was giving him, but the power they held was palpable and he caved almost immediately. “Alright, sure. Do the whole shebang.”
Jimin squealed and grabbed Hoseok’s hand, dragging him and a duffel bag bigger than himself to the dressing rooms, where Taehyung was already half-painted.
“Judging by how my boyfriend is quite literally vibrating in excitement, you agreed to letting him paint your face?” Taehyung turned to look at them, hair pushed back with a hairband and lines of unblended and half-blended, black and white contour and highlight on his face, eyes already made up with glittering silver eyeshadow and a modest cat eye. The dress on the mannequin behind him was even more extravagant than yesterday’s, silver satin cinched tight around the mannequin, the dropped waist turning into a short train at the back. The mannequin head sported a pinned silver-grey wig that matched Taehyung’s natural hair.
“He said “the whole shebang”, which is awesome, because I already have the perfect outfit for him!” Jimin pushed Hoseok to sit down before rummaging around in the gigantic duffel and pulling out his own outfit for the night. It was a cream-colored strapless bustier bra with a matching corset with various fake flowers on the edge of it to make a tutu of various colours. The bra and the corset had gold ribbing criss-crossing them, adding to the fantasy. The outfit that was pulled out next was a more direct homage to Victor/Victoria, with a sprinkling of Dita Von Teese. The mannequin next to Taehyung’s was immediately dressed up, white sleeveless button-up under a black bolero-cut swallow-tail tux jacket, and a high-waisted swing skirt that would fall to the knees.
“The lingerie comes after!”
Hoseok had his hands pressed on his cheeks, excitement running through his body. He’d actually let an artist friend of his do him up for Halloween, and even then the clothes had been very ill-fitting. Jimin stood next to him, makeup bag placed on the table in front of Hoseok, and a big shining smile on his face.
“Are you ready?”
Hoseok nodded, and settled into the seat, helping Jimin put a headband on his hairline to keep his overgrown bangs out of his face. Immediately after that, the door crashed open and a very tall someone made their way into the room.
“Oh, hi, Sugar!” Taehyung crowed, not even looking over at who Hoseok now knew was Sugar. Hoseok, on the other hand, turned his head to look at the man. He was tall, taller than even Joon, with a sharp jaw and nose, high cheekbones and black hair cut into an undercut not unlike Joon’s. He was imposing and intimidating, having shrugged off his jacket to reveal a low-cut black tank top and multiple colourful tattoos that went all the way to his fingertips, multiple scrapes and bruises on his face and knuckles. There was even some blood dripping from his palms
“Who’s the new guy?” Sugar’s voice was rough and sleepy, like he’d smoked ten packs of cigarettes before he’d walked into the bar.
“This is Hoseok! He’s letting me make him up for tonight.” Jimin aimed one of his signature smiles at the sleepy-and-disgruntled-looking Sugar, making the taller man smile.
“Is that the outfit you’re putting him in? What colors are you going for with the face?” Sugar sat down languidly on the chair next to Hoseok, his own makeup bag being thrown on the table.
“I was thinking of a red eye and lip with black liner? Keep it simple.” Jimin had tugged his own hair back into a half-pony. Sugar nodded, reaching out slowly with an impeccably manicured hand, fake acrylic nails sharp black with silver studs.
“May I?”
When Hoseok nodded, Sugar cradled his face gently, turning it side to side curiously before humming softly. “You have great bone structure there, mate. Jimin’ll have a blast doing your face.” He said, a soft smile on his face before he turned to look at his own mirror.
There was a moment of silence while Jimin prepped Hoseok’s face, gently massaging his skin with moisturiser. The door opened once more and Jin walked in, a tired and splotchy-faced Joon behind him.
“Heya, Sugar.” Jin’s voice was barely a whisper, and that made the taller Sugar stand up. He outstretched his arms towards Joon, who was very visibly shaken, and she fell into his arms with a shudder.
“Come on. Let’s go to my office.”
The silence that followed was more tense than ever, with Jimin chewing his lower lip nervously and Taehyung standing up to hug his boyfriend.
“What was that?”
Jimin sighed heavily, shaking his head. “We get some people who harrass Joonie. Before, Joonie wouldn’t tell us it was happening, but Sugar saw it happening once and that was one of the worst days we’ve ever had here.”
“Yeah, he walked in completely bloodied up and we had to close the bar for the evening.” Taehyung said, a frown on his face as he recounted that evening. “Joon was fine, but Sugar was out of commision for almost 5 months, and with how the bar’s been doing, he and his partner had to pay out of pocket for the surgery and the recovery.”
Hoseok swallowed with difficulty, pain settling behind his sternum. It was ludicrous, what he was hearing. This was Soho, for crying out loud. Wouldn’t there be more solidarity for people like Joon? Apparently not. Jimin patted Taehyung’s shoulder, prompting him to go back to finishing up, clearing his throat as he picked up the bottle of foundation from his makeup bag.
“I think we’re going to need a new waiter. Joon is a bit out of it tonight, she needs an isolated space.” Sugar had walked back into the dressing room, running a hand through his hair. “We need new staff in general.” He muttered, looking up at the three pairs of wide eyes looking at him. His dark eyes landed on Hoseok’s face, and he raised an eyebrow. “Do you have any experience as a waiter?”
Hoseok nodded, and something in him knew that today wouldn’t be the only day he’d see blood in the dressing room.

Guide for Buying Wigs as Beginner
For those who are interested in buying wigs, here is a guideline for you, especially for those who find it very difficult and confusing in choosing a wig in a marketplace. There are different styles of wig available for your choosing. And there is a chance that picking a suitable wig can sometimes be a herculean task. There are lace front, human hair wigs, and several other wigs and hairpieces for women depending on the one you want. Picking a wig requires a certain level of understanding and paying attention to details. In this guideline, we are going to take you from A to Z on how to pick and buy wigs so as to have a clear and better understanding.
Nowadays wig status
Today the use of wig has now become popular most notably as the celebrities now wear them which have changed their styles and looks. This is evident in some celebrities who have publicly shown their love for wig both in real life and social media. Supermodel like Coco Rocha as of recently been seen in a different look than what her 1.1 million followers have been used to. Her followers have shifted their focus from her bleached, chin-length bob but rather been rocked by her followers in the recent release of her Balmain hair campaign in September which she appeared in a long fishtail braid curved around her shoulder. Celebrities like Rihanna, lady gaga, and Katie Perry, among others, have also publicly showcased their love for wigs. Wig makers like Darnell would, Tokyo Stylez and Shay Ashual is also not a left out as they have created a fantastical covetable wig looking natural. According to Tokyo Stylez, when you wear a wig on your hair, you don’t have to worry about your natural hair. You can keep it healthy and keep growing because the idea of wearing a wig makes you even look good and better than your real hair.
What is a wig?
In the 21st century, the use of wigs has been popularized in America as of late by celebrities such as Tina Turner, Diana Ross, and The supreme, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Dolly Parton. However, Cher’s wigs are also known for wig wearing for four decades and have ranged from curly to straight, and from black to blonde.
There are many reasons why ladies put on wigs. Some put it on to hide their long losing hair as it is far less fitted to enter into the head other than restoring hair through surgery or even installing hair extension. Some women put on wigs to periodically change-up their looks and appearance. In films, it is also worn by actors as apparel to suit the character they portray.
In ancient Egypt, the hair of the men and women were shaved and cropped to the skin, and they often used wigs to cover their head. In fact, they even create the wig themselves to protect their heads from the rays of the sun. Some even wear it on top of their head. They use resin beeswax to preserve the wig so as to keep it in place. Other classical cultures that also make use of wigs include Jews, Assyrian, Greek, Romans, and Phoenicians.
A wig is a synthetic hair typically made from either human or animal hair worn on the head by ladies to cover or disguise baldness for fashion. It is a hairpiece women use to alter their existing hair. Wigs come in different colors, textures, lengths, and styles depending on your preference.
In the present age, most notably with technological advancement, synthetic hair has come off age in recent years that you cannot tell the difference. The density and texture of synthetic hair feel and look like human hair. In fact, some of the synthetic with higher quality pieces are so real that if the human is not next right to it to compare. It is more expensive and durable, and it can last from 1 to 3 years.
In choosing a wig, it is essential for you to take note that wigs are of different designs so as not to mix them up. This design includes; the 100% hand-tied monofilament design, the Monofilament design, and lace front wigs
The 100% hand-tied monofilament design: the hand tied design involves individual pieces of thread or fishing lines. It gives a natural look by allowing them to stand freely. The “hand-tied” design involves a combined set of handmade and machine made hair strands to harmonize the end product or create balance.
The Monofilament design: the monofilament design offers a natural look and the synthetic fiber used on the cap to create an outlook appearance on hair growth on the scalp. It also allows the free flow of hair to be parted or combed in a different direction. It is important to note that 100% hand-tied cap monofilament is largely accepted to be the most comfortable of all monofilament
Lace front wig: the lace front wigs create an outlook that seems to be of natural hair growth along the hairline and allow the person wearing it to style the wig away that you will not recognize that they are wearing a wig. Some lace front wigs are reduced while others may require some styling personalizing.
Why do people buy wigs?
- For decoration: one of the main reasons why people buy wigs is to change their looks and appearance. For instance, if you are a brunette, and you want to look like a blonde, a wig is an option, and the result is endless. That is why celebrities like Rihanna, Katie Perry, and Lady Gaga among others often change their looks and appearances using the wig
- For necessary need (No hair): another reason why people make use of wig is to cover their hair in other to disguise their baldness or loss of hair
- For cosplay: another reason why people make use of wigs again is to set up apparel or dress to suit the character they portray.
For less time or money: the wearing of wigs saves time and money. Instead of going through surgery means, which will cost a lot of money and time, it’s better to put on less expensive wigs.
How to choose your own wig
For those who want to buy wigs, the first thing that should come into your mind is the type of wig that will be best suitable for you depending on the look you want, and it depends on the shape of your face
Another thing you have to take into cognizance again is the size of the wigs. Though an average size of wigs tends to fit 95% customers. To determine the right size for you, measure the circumference for your head, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and back to the frontline.
In making choices for your preferred wig, the weight of the wig is also very important. For someone who is slim, it is advisable to choose a light wig for comfortability.
The color of the wig is also an essential factor to take note. In choosing your color, one of the significant things you have to put into consideration is the complexion of your skin so that it will match your skin tone.
How to maintain your wigs
After making use of your wig, it is important to take proper care of the wig by preserving it. In doing so, the following are important.
- First of all, before washing your wig carefully mixed the synthetic hair using the wide tooth comb from end to the root. After that, gently brush it and kindly remove the entire tangle from the wig with a wide toothbrush.
- Put water on a bowl and make sure it’s not hot and wet the wig with water (Do not soak it in water) and apply shampoo and rub it on the wig. Wash it thoroughly and remove it from water for a few minutes
- Rinse it after washing by putting it on the bowl again to remove the shampoo. Do not squeeze it; just remove it from the water you used in rinsing it.
- Carefully remove it from the water and place it between the towels and pat dry. In doing this, never squeeze nor rub the wig while drying it. After drying it, remove it from the towel then you can now make use of it.
In conclusion, it is therefore pertinent to note that having discussed the various ways of how to make use of a wig, the types and different ways of maintaining a wig. We can, therefore, admit that wig is an alternative to those who have a loss of hair and those who want to change their look and appearance on a situated occasion.

Glinda Lace-Front Wig w/ hand-tied hairline
I took a Matilda in Ash Blonde from @ardawigs and meticulously added a hand-tied hairline, cut off a lot of the length, set it in curlers, and styled this finish product for my own Glinda wig.
She needs to be re-set and re-styled but I’ll be selling her! This was done super quick too so I’m hoping to hide the pins a little better next setting.
I want to do more wigs this year - commission me! :)

ChiChi has had her own personal experience with combating hair loss. Relaxers, coloring, braiding and hair glue all played a part in waning her hairline. The matter was exacerbated when she could never find a wig that properly fit her smaller sized head, so she started gluing wefts of hair into stocking caps back in 2000. Her wig designs gave her a new felt since of confidence while she worked on stimulating the regrowth of her hair.
ChiChi was pleasantly surprised by the compliments and requests she got from women wanting her to provide custom wigs for them as well! She launched Adorn Beauty Enhancements as a central one-stop location for all things make-up and hair. The shop is located in Atlanta and online at adornbeautyenhancements.com/ .
A beauty industry veteran with 15 years of experience, ChiChi originally obtained degrees in human resource management and psychology. She has found that both fields come into play when dealing with clients who are tackling issues of self-esteem and confidence due to hair loss and alopecia. After working in corporate for 10 years, doing weaves and make-up part time for friends and family, she finally decided to enroll in cosmetology school at the Fayette Beauty School, and later open her own business. Her passion for hair loss led her to the renowned Toni Love Training Center where she received her non-surgical Hair Loss Certification.
Unlike wigs found in retail stores, ChiChi’s exclusive line of custom medical wigs and hair prosthetics are specifically designed for the woman with little or no hair. The designs are partially or totally hand tied or sewn on with a sewing machine, with a smaller cap and a base that is specifically designed to not irritate a sensitive scalp.
Adorn Beauty’s exclusive line of custom medical quality wigs are for all nationalities and are designed for a totally natural and completely undetectable appearance; from the amount of hair in the cap, to how the hair moves when the wig is worn. Adorn’s medical custom wig prices start at $500, with custom fashion wigs starting at $100 excluding the hair.
“Something like losing one’s hair may not readily sound like a big deal, but our hair is essentially our crown, especially for women,” explains Owens. “That’s why I’m so grateful to organizations like NAAF that continually provide guidance, counseling and assistance to those effected by alopecia areata. I have found that many people are completely unaware of Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, so I’m thrilled to be able to celebrate my business anniversary while drawing attention to the dedicated month. I am fulfilled knowing that I am assisting with helping to heal hearts and heads with my knowledge, care and beautiful wig designs.”

Day 19: Write a One Shot about your character changing something about themselves physically
Bianca looked down at the file in front of her, and arched her eyebrows..
"It says I need a disguise."
The Director nodded. "We're asking you to wear these--" He slid a box of coloured contact lenses at her; Bianca turned them over, and found herself surprised at the bright blue colour printed on the back. She wasn't sure why she was surprised, of course. The Director was hardly going to give her brown ones, was he?
"And we need you to go blonde, too. You need to look... stereotypically Swedish." The Director said.
Bianca raised a hand to her hair, which she had swept back into a neat up-do, as she always did when she was going to work (and when she wasn't going to work, actually). Her Grandmother had always warned her not to bleach her hair - it would damage it, she had said. And truly, Bianca was selfless, fearless, so thoughtful when it came to others... but she was vain, and she could at least admit to it.
"And why is that?" She asked. She was never one to question the Director, usually, but this was important to her.
Evidently, it wasn't the first time he'd heard discontent about the whole thing, though. He merely sighed.
"Miss Gabor, if you'll forgive me for saying so, you're very striking."
Beside her, Agent Petersson smothered his laughter.
"If you attract too much attention you'll jeopardize the entire mission. 88% of the Swedish population have light eyes, and at least 80% have fair hair. You have neither. You'd draw the eye too much."
The Director raised his eyebrows at her when he had finished speaking, a challenge for her to find fault with any of it. Unfortunately, she could find none. She huffed softly, and looked to Oscar, who, admittedly, also had blond hair, and pale blue eyes. About as Swedish looking as one would expect from a man born and raised in Stockholm, if one were to adhere to stereotypes.
"I think you'll look good blonde." He said, with a grin that only made Bianca press her lips more tightly together, attempting to stave off a frown.
She looked to the director and sat up a little straighter in her seat.
"Alright." She nodded, taking the box of coloured contact lenses. "But I'm not dying my hair."
"Then what is it you plan to do, Agent Gabor?" The Director asked.
Bianca simply smiled, a little too politely. "I have a plan, director. Don't fret."
~*~
Bianca stood in the bathroom of her apartment, dressed except for what she had left to do. She took a deep breath, and opened one of the packets of lenses, placing one in each eye and blinking until they settled. She tied her hair back carefully, and stretched the cap over it, wincing a little as she did so. Her poor hair, she thought, as she covered it up. Better than turning it to straw with a trip to the salon, though.
With a dab of glue, Bianca pulled the wig into place, once again wincing as she settled it over her hairline; she had to admit, it did look rather natural. She closed her eyes, and after a moment, opened them. If she hadn't gone through the entire process herself, she probably wouldn't have recognised her own reflection, at least for a little while.
She should have argued about her skin tone, she realised, as she fussed with the wig. The hair did look natural, and when paired with the eyes it sort of fit, but surely she'd still be an oddity, her skin a few shades darker than the average Swede. She supposed it didn't matter, and it was too late now anyway.
"Ready to go, Linnéa?"
Linnéa. Bianca opened the passport she had been given, not dissimilar to her own HUngarian one, and read the name. Linnéa Persson. Very Swedish.
She opened the door to Oscar, who whistled as he saw her. "Very nice." He grinned, his hands in his pockets. "Very Swedish." He added.
"We're going to be late." She retorted, swatting his arm lightly, though she did smile a little. At least she thought he was being genuine. She checked her reflection once more on the way out, frowning a little at the fair reflection in the mirror. If they completed the mission it would all be worth it, she supposed.

What Kind And Model Is The Best a hundred% Human Hair Wigs For African American Women? Kylie Jenner loves a very good wig — her glam room has a shelf dedicated to the various she owns — but when those hairpieces are made utilizing real human hair (and it's probably that that's the case), they probably price thousands and 1000's of dollars. Once you have chosen the wig you would like to purchase, you can go into your nearest wig store and purchase one in particular person. If you'd like something geared for comfort, attempt our hand-tied lace wigs that present itch-free, all-day put on. By contrast, within the 1780s Russian Common Potemkin abhorred the tight uniforms and uncomfortable wigs and powdered coiffures worn by his soldiers and instigated a whole revision of each. With an look at system of excessive requirements, we will assure you that every product we're on sale is with a long-lasting quality that will not shed, nor tangle. Now we have specific experience in becoming and supplying wigs for most cancers & alopecia patients for the NHS - Please see our ‘INFO' pages to discover more about our services, or to seek out out the place our wig salons are positioned for personal wig fitting. Do not forget that the wig might be lower and styled by a hairdresser or the wig guide. There is a lot much less selection for males as it's tough to make a person's brief hair wig look natural across the hairline. Patti's Pearls brings you a diverse number of wigs on the medical wigs market and we make it easy to seek out the wig that is good for you. NopeLander
tl:dr Outlander used to be great, and instead of writing it as the romance-fantasy that it is, they subscribed to the theory that drama and plot are more interesting than nuanced intimacy and in doing so drained it of its charm and energy while at the same time bashed fans for not being happy about it.
Production ruined the magic that was Outlander in such a stumbling, amateurish, way. First off, they do not understand Jamie and Claire, who are best friends as well as lovers. They use humor to sustain their connection and share a lot of inside jokes. Physically they are rooted to their intimacy. Jamie had shaggy hair in S1 because he was growing out the buzz cut he got at the Abbey, not because he liked having fringe.
We’ll never know how Sophie would deliver well written dialogue but with her somnolent delivery my guess is it wouldn’t have helped. Maybe they limited her dialogue because she couldn’t manage more than a few words at a time. She was miscast, obviously. They couldn’t have found a tall, American actress with dual UK/USA citizenship with an Equity card? Hey Show Bree: Roger humiliated then abandoned you at the Clan gathering because you didn’t want to marry him. He then had a relationship with you --in his mind--, while you were living on your own and trying to keep your eyes from closing while you talked. Why do you love him? Back to Dog Face: A group of people are going against their own tribe to rescue Dog Face and risk alienation from said tribe just to get a stone they could have just taken from Claire? And Roger isn’t totally amazed seeing Claire and Jamie, together? In the book, while Bree is asking Jamie to stay for the birth, he pleadingly looks to Claire like ‘what do I do’ because, while he’s heard a lot of birthing going on, he’s never been asked to assist.
Sam’s face when he said he had to –takes off glasses-- kill Murtagh, wasn’t full on Drake Ramoray, but it was teetering close to it. He’ll just keep hacking at them and I don’t want to stick around to watch.
