BACKYARD CHICKEN EDITION 🐓

Okay SO. I've been wanting backyard chickens forever because 1. Fresh eggs because we go through A LOT between Andrew constantly baking and consuming large amounts of protein for his mooscles. 2. Chickens.

The HOA said no, you're crazy. This is a neighborhood not a farm. Absolutely no chickens. So I'm like yeah yeah sure but what if.... I'm not one to give up easily see. Like tell me no that I can't do it and I'm going to make that thing my life's mission.

Fast forward to every fucking HOA meeting over the last few months - enter me, loaded with baked goods by Chefdrew and my sister in law by my side because she loves drama. I passionately made my case. I told them the benefits. I explained why this would be so great for the neighborhood (idc about the neighborhood tbh but it's great for me so).

They said no.

So I kept going back. I kept writing letters. FINALLY they responded by saying they were considering changing the rules and they'd let me know. So the next HOA meeting I go in there expecting to be told I can have Henrietta and Hen Solo, no problem. What do I find when I walk in?

This is basically how it went:

Andrew: I'm here about the chickens.

HOA: Yes we're considering changing the rules and-

HOA: Excuse me? Mr..?

Andrew: Minyard-Josten

HOA: Oh. OH. You're married to

Andrew: Neil Minyard-Josten yes. You see what I'm dealing with. Take. It. Back. 🔪

HOA: Um...

Me: HAHAHA HE'S JUST KIDDING WE'RE NORMAL PEOPLE HAHA WE'RE GONNA LEAVE HAHA

Joke's on him because I got a letter today that I can get backyard chickens so get ready for chicken puns and fresh eggs. 😌😌😌
