Glimmer from the most recent Sascha fic:

Eroded molars plucked like pomegranate seeds and summarily replaced with brighter pearls.

Idk I really like how this sentence shook out it's info dense while still retaining an easy, readable flow. Also tips its hat on the kitbashing going on without being obvious so it'll be a fun thing to pick up upon a second or third read (I think)! Because I'm one of those annoying people who likes reading/writing things that require several passes to get the full picture.

Glimmer from Limits:

Either post was crafted to mimic the trees they were gored from, the arc of the back panel--branches that tangled and fused at its center. Wildlife roiled behind the broad leaves–[Ana] had spent hours while she was young sprawled out on the bed, tracing her fingertips across every twig-clutching talon and leaf-stem coiling mousetail. Pressing her fingers into the two ragged, unvarnished gashes that tore into the falcon roosted in the top right corner. To this day, she does not know what put those there–Kliment would never tell.

okay cheating this is a full passage not a single line, but I'm particularly proud of this description of Ana and Roman's headboard from the second chapter of Limits so full excerpt be upon ye! And yes the tenses are weird but Memorium can be like that sometimes (says the editor-less writer)

🎶 - I'm hugely reliant on music!! I create playlists for all my projects, and the majority of my music listening habits are more or less informed by whatever I'm writing/drafting on a particular day. All my playlists are in tatters because I'm in the middle of yet another spotify playlist overhaul but here's an ole reliable I recently updated for some Ana/Roman oneshots that will hopefully see the light of day eventually:

🤔 - I got two different answers! One more general and one more fic- specific. So two answers for the price of one! General: I've been writing since literally I was old enough to hold a pencil/sit at a keyboard. So I don't really have an answer outside of "well I also eat and sleep so yeah I write" it's just something I do whether I set out to do it or not. Even if I go years without publishing/posting/producing, I usually have several WIPs floating around for me to peck away at and manage sanity. Fan/Fic: Usually a good setting is enough for me to spin out fic! I don't typically write canon characters unless they become an Intense Blorbo where I feel like I have something to add to the greater blorbo-sphere. Currently I don't really have any of those outside of stray Sascha concept that I've got cooking out back. But yeah if I come across a setting that strikes me, OCs will just start spawning naturally so I write fic to wrangle those OCs.

⛔️ - If I'm writing canon characters for a specific fandom, I try to limit the number of "Big Names" in the piece bc nothing's more annoying that reading a fic tagged with a specific character only for said character to be around for three paragraphs as a contact/side mission. If there's a bit part to be played, give it to nameless rando 172 and if he grows a personality great! I now have a shiny new OC people can get to know! But like if you have a vamp fic and you need a Nos contact maybe give Mr. Tung a break he has enough going on in SoCal he doesn't need to be bothered with breadbasket intel unless he absolutely has to, give that job to a bright-eyed Nos upstart with a cool pet rat named Pichu and let that fun lil gal bounce off the Big Wigs in the fic. Makes the story more accessible to folks who are new to the fandom/lore as well as something new for the old heads if executed with care. Win-win! I hope!

Okay, first of all I love bully!Osamu - that man just 👌. But like, imagine if he’s at the mall with Atsumu or his team or whatever and he notices you also there wandering around with some other guy?

omg ok picture high school bully!osamu (so the two of you haven't fucked yet)

he's out at the mall with atsumu already pissed bc the two of them asked you to tag along but you told them you had plans. he figured you'd be hanging out with some friends so imagine his shock when his brother notices you a few yards away.

"oh shit, y/n's here" atsumu nudges his twin in the arm. osamu's head shoots up and lo and behold, there you are walking around with a boy that neither of them recognizes.

"the fuck is she doin'?" he grumbles under his breath but atsumu chuckles.

"leave her alone, samu. she's probably on a date or somethin'," but even atsumu can't hide the bitterness in his voice.

no. osamu thinks. you don't just go on dates—nobody's been dumb enough to ask you out and actually follow through with it. (because osamu would either beat the shit out of them or convince you not to go) which is why he's so annoyed in the first place. why didn't you tell him? did you want to go out with this loser?

atsumu claps him on the shoulder. "come on, let's do somethin' else," he drags his brother away so he doesn't have to look at you anymore. of course, osamu isn't gonna let this go (he's a demon)

after the twins meet up with some of their teammates, osamu excuses himself so he's finally separated from his brother. he seeks you out very easily, finding the two of you sitting in the food court. you look so pretty smiling at this nameless boy. it's the same sweet smile osamu finds you giving his brother from time to time.

now, he could stick to his tried and true method of embarrassing you—dropping a slushie in your lap or tripping you as you're throwing out your food. but with his brother nearby it would just end in another fight with his twin and he doesn't really want to hear you whining about it for a whole week.

instead, osamu pulls out his phone and just sends you a simple message.

to: crybaby: look up

he waits for you to stare down at your phone, eyes going wide when his name pops up on the screen. discreetly, as to not let your "date" know that your attention was elsewhere, you tap away a reply.

from: crybaby: he's just a friend

from: crybaby: pls don't do anything

osamu snorts, it's cute how skittish you get around him

to: crybaby: make up an excuse and get away from him. i'll be in the parkin lot

he waits for you to read the message before walking out of the mall and heading to the parking lot. it only takes about five minutes before he sees you timidly walking over to him. osamu opens his arms out to trap you in a hug. "yer gonna have to make it to me, dummy" he says tugging on your wrist to drag you to the bus stop.

making it up to him usually means spending the whole day with him, eating the food that he makes, cuddling on the couch, and kissing for "practice" (his words).

"who was that?" he asks as the two of you wait for the bus.

you bite your lip, it really was just a friend but osamu would never see it like that. "minoru...we're in the same math class..."

what you didn't know was that osamu was now planning on meeting up with this minoru to have a "friendly chat" with him when they're back in school.

Hey, I read the tags on a post and was wondering... what artifacts make Lily and PV's dynamic toxic? If it's about the love potion/love letter there is no confirmation that was something either of them did... there are a lot of artifacts in the museum that are just like. General stuff from the magic school before it fell-- most of the artifacts related to Lily and PV and the ancients specifically are in the history section.

For those of you who don't really care about Cookie Run Kingdom, have a Read More bc this might be a little lengthy lol

(also, purelily shippers, you guys might wanna avoid reading this one)

So I wanna preface this with a few things:

1.) I haven't finished everything the game has to offer yet! I went through the Tower of Sweet Chaos' story, but I'm actually stuck on Raspberry Cookie in 11-27, so depending on what happens, my opinion could change and I could just look like a fool here lmao

2.) In those tags, current dynamic = Pure Vanilla and Dark Enchantress (who's also White Lily)'s dynamic I don't dislike the purelily ship or look down on anyone who does. I actually really fascinated by their history, haha. But personally, my heart's not set on shipping them in their current state because uhh... as far as I know, Dark Enchantress is currently trying to kill Pure Vanilla atm.

That said, lemme spill some of my thoughts on the relics here bc I've actually been wanting to talk about them since I discovered them:

You're right in that there's no concrete evidence that these relics were theirs. No one knows for sure except the writers themselves. But on the flipside, there's also a concerning amount of detail that suggests it being a very real possibility that I haven't seen debunked yet.

One of the biggest concerns is how the Nameless Transcript is within this set of relics. It's titled as "Nameless", but it's strongly hinted that it's White Lily's, which makes you wonder if this set of relics is partially themed after her.

The other relic within the set that's also worth noting is the Lost Portrait. It's not as big of a concern as the Nameless Transcript, but it does solidify that at least several items in this set are themed after White Lily, since this specific portrait was a pivotal item in her backstory.

That aside, let's talk about the relics in question themselves, because those two have some interesting things going on as well.

Starting with Someone's Love Letter, this relic honestly feels like a direct parallel to Pure Vanilla's letter.

Thematically, this makes sense; the set of relics this letter's in is clearly themed after Pure Vanilla while the Love Letter's relic set is hinted to be themed after White Lily, and romantically or not, these two really loved each other at one point in their lives, friends or otherwise. But the thing is, Pure Vanilla always had a strong sense of morals, so it's highly doubtful he wrote the love letter, themes aside.

White Lily, on the other hand, was always shown to have good intentions, but highly questionable morals. She doesn't mind violating any rule she has to to get what she wants, as long as the end justifies the means (i.e sneaking into several forbidden areas of the academy, suggesting taking a piece of the 1st headmaster's soul, etc.).

But the idea of her making a love potion just to get Pure Vanilla's affection sounds way too sinister for White Lily, because despite all the damages she's caused, her intentions are still shown to be good-natured. Also, Devsis makes a conscious effort to make sure the relics match whatever subject they want to associate it with, and the love potion's aesthetic is vastly different from White Lily's design.

But remember that White Lily is also Dark Enchantress. The Tower of Sweet Chaos' story showed that Dark Enchantress isn't just White Lily possessed, brainwashed, or anything like that. She IS Dark Enchantress. Once she was out of the oven, she made a conscious decision to be who she wanted to be, which means the side of her that's Dark Enchantress has always existed within her, even back when she was White Lily. And what does Dark Enchantress look like?

Colors: Check Heart theme: Check (staff) Love theme: Check (Dark "Enchantress")

If this is all true, does it paint a real ugly picture regarding White Lily and Pure Vanilla's relationship? Yeah. Do I actually believe White Lily would actually do something like this though? Also yes. Depending on what the reason is and given her past actions, I don't think it'd be above her at this point.

I will say though; her motivations are usually well-intended, so it doesn't feel right to assume she'd do something like this out of pure whim. I don't know what that motivation is, but I'd like to believe that White Lily wouldn't do this anything like this without a good reason. My personal theory is that she either bought or made the potion herself, but not for sinister reasons.

Of course, I could be wrong about everything and those relics could really belong to some rando cookies lol. But when I say I can't bring myself to ship them much, this is kinda why :')
