you’re interning with the maple leafs athletic training department after graduating university in the health field. you’re new to the city & don’t know anyone. ur quiet and only engage with players when spoken too. it’s obvious ur intelligent and very career driven. you have an independent vibe. it’s clear ur not impressed or starstruck by players, but not in a rude way its just u aren’t interested in hockey as a sport only the health aspect as it relates to ur career, so ur vibe gives off very much *professional only here to get paid*😂….anyway willy thought you were stunning initially,but he was caught off guard since ur not his usual type and don’t have the same physical or aesthetic look as any other gf/vibe in the league. ur appearance is very feminine but u dress streetwear tomboy. ur slim but with an hourglass build athletic legs /big butt. u have big long curly hair that u let flow wild and don’t wear makeup but ur skin glows and thick dark eyelashes /rosey lips are striking. its clear willy is not the only one that finds u intriguing bc he’s noticed few players act “different” when u come around -and he can tell they’re crushing on you. they’re harmlessly flirtatious with u but ur oblivious. he knows someone will ask u out soon. how do you think willy reacts? does he make a move? does he feel jealous? he hasn’t even had a chance to introduce himself, yet he’s seen other players find an excuse to interact with u. he knew he was interested but didn’t expect to have to act so soon. does chill willy feel like he has competition or nah? can you write something to add or finish the plot or just take this concept and create ur own magic 😅 i have the vision but definitely not the skill or outlet lmao
Absolutely, babe! So, this was more than just something and I definitely enjoyed it 🤍 You provided me with so much inspiration, and I hope I've managed to convey your vision at least to some extent 😉
Perhaps there's room for a sequel, but I also believe it stands strong on its own - either way, my wish is for you to enjoy it 🤗

She’s got me Lovestoned I William Nylander
“She looks like a model Except she's got a little more ass Don't even bother Unless you've got that thing she likes I hope she's going home with me tonight”
Your heart raced with excitement as you followed your manager through the busy corridors of the Maple Leafs' training facility. The sound of skates scraping against the ice and the reverberation of pucks hitting the boards filled the atmosphere, adding to the tangible buzz of the surroundings.
Freshly graduated from university with a degree in the healthcare field, you had long imagined this moment. Securing an internship with the athletic training department of one of the most esteemed sports teams in the league was a dream come true – an opportunity to apply your expertise and knowledge in a practical environment.
As you strolled, you couldn't help but admire the cutting-edge facilities surrounding you. From the fully equipped gym to the medical treatment rooms, every aspect was crafted to ensure the players received optimal care and resources.
And your manager, sensing your admiration, offered you a warm smile. "Welcome to the team miss y/l/n," they said, their tone brimming with pride. "We're delighted to have you join us."
You reciprocated the smile, thankful for the chance and eager to demonstrate your abilities. This was your moment to establish yourself in the realm of sports medicine, to glean knowledge from the experts and contribute to the team's triumphs.
And as you continued to explore the facility, a surge of excitement pulsed through you. This marked merely the beginning of your journey with the Maple Leafs, and you were resolute in seizing every opportunity that lay ahead.
_
As you settled into your role as an intern within both the Medical and Performance teams, your reserved and composed demeanour became apparent to those around you. You'd always been one to let your actions do the talking, and this remained unchanged in your new environment.
Focused and resolute, you approached each task with unwavering commitment; whether it involved aiding in rehabilitation exercises or conducting pre-season screenings, you handled each duty with precision and diligence.
While some might have mistaken your quiet nature for aloofness, those who took the time to understand you soon discovered there was more beneath the surface. You were intelligent, determined, and fiercely independent – a formidable presence in your own right.
Unlike many others in your position, you weren't swayed by the glamour of professional hockey. While you respected the sport and admired the players' athleticism, your focus lay solely on the health and well-being aspect, aligning with your career aspirations.
To you, the players were not celebrities to be idolised but individuals to be cared for – athletes whose welfare relied on your expertise. And you simply approached your responsibilities with professionalism and purpose, recognising the significance of your role in the team's success.
Yet, although you kept to yourself, speaking only, when necessary, your influence permeated the facility. Your dedication to excellence and the players' wellbeing garnered the respect and admiration of your colleagues. And as you delved deeper into your work, you found a profound sense of satisfaction, knowing you were making a meaningful impact on the athletes' lives and careers.
_
As the first two weeks of your internship with the team flew by faster than you’d expected, you quickly became fully engrossed in the dynamic world of professional hockey. The days were a whirlwind of absorbing new information, making acquaintances with staff and players, and engaging in hands-on tasks that put your skills and knowledge to the test.
With the start of the regular hockey season on the horizon, the gravity of the job began to dawn on you. However, far from feeling daunted, you embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and resolve. This was the culmination of your training, the result of your hard work, and you were prepared to demonstrate your worth.
With each passing day, your confidence in your abilities grew, and you found your rhythm within the team. Yet, while your focus remained on your duties, you gradually began to forge connections with those around you, as the staff and players greeted you with open arms, fostering a sense of camaraderie that made it easy to acclimate to your new surroundings. Your initial intention to maintain a professional distance slowly faded, and you somehow found yourself drawn into the team's social dynamics.
As time went on, laughter and friendly banter became commonplace during the long hours spent with your colleagues, and before you knew it, you were joining in with the playful teasing.
"Come on, Lou," you chuckled. "Who's the trickiest player?" you quipped.
"I can’t say..." Louis Rojas, the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, chuckled in response. "But there are certainly a few who need a gentle nudge when it comes to the rehabilitation aspect of training..." he winked. "And I won't name names, but it seems like the longer they've been on the team, the more inflated their ego becomes."
It was all good-natured banter, naturally. From your perspective, each player had their own unique traits, but you understood why – this was the results of their lifelong dream, pursued with sacrifices of social life and late nights for early morning training sessions and weekend games.
And despite the jests, you felt like you were part of a close-knit family among your peers.
Whether it was the late nights after a defeat or the shared jubilation following a hard-fought victory, every experience drew you nearer to your team. And when a player sustained an injury, regardless of how minor, you felt the weight of responsibility, knowing you played a vital role in the team's support structure.
Even the players, initially unfamiliar with your reserved nature, began to open up to you as they became more acquainted. Despite any unintentional distance, they valued your commitment and professionalism, gradually extending their trust and respect.
And as you navigated through the highs and lows of the hockey beginning of the season alongside your newfound comrades, you couldn't help but sense a feeling of belonging – a realisation that, despite any initial hesitations, you were precisely where you were meant to be.
_
“She shuts the room down The way she walks and causes a fuss The baddest in town She's flawless like some uncut ice I hope she's going home with me tonight”
As the months went by, more players gradually began to get to know your personality a bit better, noticing the subtle sparks you unintentionally ignited. And one player, in particular, found himself increasingly drawn to you.
William Nylander hadn't anticipated this turn of events, being entirely focused on his career and having his best season yet. However, as the young Swedish forward observed you carrying out your duties with quiet resolve, he couldn't ignore the growing sense of curiosity that stirred within him. Unlike the typical women he encountered in the hockey world, you possessed a unique charm and allure that captured his attention from the outset.
Your appearance defied convention, blending elements of femininity with a distinctive streetwear tomboy aesthetic. Your slender yet athletic figure, accentuated by your hourglass figure, toned legs, and shapely posterior, intrigued him in a way he hadn't expected.
Your long, untamed curls flowed down your back, framing your face in a halo of natural beauty. And though you opted for minimal makeup, your natural radiance shone through, with thick, dark eyelashes framing your captivating eyes and rosy lips that seemed to beckon him. Yet, it wasn't solely your physical attributes that intrigued him – it was your confident and graceful demeanour, your unapologetic embrace of your individuality.
To William, you represented a refreshing departure from the predictable stereotypes usually found in the hockey world. He found himself drawn to your authenticity, your refusal to conform to societal norms. And as he observed you navigate the challenges of your role with quiet determination, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was far more to you than met the eye.
Yet, amidst his desirable interest, he couldn't help but think of how you might respond to his actions and thoughts. Would you reciprocate his attention, or would you maintain your professional composure, unaware of the impact you had on those around you?
Only time held the answer, but one thing was clear—William was determined to find out. And one day, he resolved to take action and initiate a conversation.
"Hey there, I'm Willy," he introduced himself, flashing his trademark smirk as he encountered you in the physio room shortly after a session where the performance team had discussed nutritious foods and home recipe ideas.
And as you tidied up the materials from the presentation, a soft chuckle escaped you. "Yes, I'm aware," you replied with a gentle smile.
"You are?" he inquired, a small hint of surprise in his tone.
"Well, of course," you chuckled once more, a mischievous glimmer in your eye as you neatly arranged the papers. "It's part of my job - I'm familiar with all of you, including your current physical condition and medical histories."
William couldn't contain his amusement at your response, his smirk broadening as he let out a soft chuckle. It wasn't often that someone managed to catch him off guard, but there was something about your effortless confidence that intrigued him.
"Ah, so you've been doing your homework on me, eh?" he teased, leaning casually against the nearby equipment rack with a playful glint in his eye.
"You could say that," you retorted with a grin, a touch of mischief flickering in your gaze. "But don't worry, your secrets are safe with me."
William smiled, a sense of warmth enveloping him at your relaxed banter. "Well, in that case, I hope it's all just good stuff," he quipped, flashing you a charming smile, his eyes gleaming with genuine interest.
"Oh, absolutely," you replied, feigning innocence. "Only the finest gossip about your impeccable physique and stellar health habits."
William laughed, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "Well, I'm relieved to hear I've made such an impression," he joked, his smirk widening as he leaned in a little closer, a newfound sense of connection sparking between you.
And as the conversation flowed, the playful banter between you and William felt effortless, each exchange infused with light-hearted humour and genuine warmth. Despite starting off as acquaintances, it was evident that this spontaneous encounter held the promise of something more, leaving a sense of anticipation lingering in the air like a whisper of exciting possibilities.
_
As the first few months progressed, William couldn't help but notice the subtle shifts in dynamics whenever you were present. He observed how other players' demeanours changed, becoming more animated and flirtatious when you entered the room. And despite your apparent obliviousness to their advances, William couldn't shake the twinge of jealousy gnawing at him.
As it was, your responsibilities extended beyond mere observation and monitoring of the players' physical and mental well-being; at times, you were also required to engage with them physically. Whether it involved carrying out a soft massage to their legs or backs, aiding with stretches, or similar activities with the purpose of facilitating their recovery, ensuring the were swiftly back on their feet was part of your role.
And truth be told, when a young, attractive woman like yourself interacted closely with young men, some of whom were not in committed relationships, their minds often wandered. And consequently, comments occasionally slipped out, their mouths moving faster than their rational thoughts.
"You know, you can press harder, I can handle it."
"We could continue this session later, when it's more private."
"Your touch is amazing – it's really doing wonders... anything else you're good at?"
To you, these remarks seemed harmless, playful, and merely part of the camaraderie. You were accustomed to the tone, unaffected by it, and accepted it as part of the team dynamic, which was likely why the management allowed you to work in such close proximity to the players.
However, for William, these comments carried a weightier significance.
For some time now, William had been trying to forge a closer connection with you, seizing any opportunity to get to know you better amidst the limited time available. Yet, despite his efforts, you simply remained a staff member while he was a hockey player under your care. And he wasn't the only one deserving of your attention. Your professional interest extended to all the players, regardless of their role on the team, and it appeared that some others were making rather direct attempts at flirting.
A part of him had hoped for more time to cultivate a deeper bond with you before making a move. However, with each passing day, he felt the pressure mounting as he observed other players finding excuses to engage with you.
Despite his typically relaxed demeanour, the young Swede found himself torn between maintaining his composure and the urge to stake his claim before someone else did. It was an unfamiliar sensation; one he hadn't felt before. Usually, it would be the women vying for his attention. But you were different. You exuded nothing but a sense of calm, confidence, and independence that simply captivated him.
And as he deliberated his options, William realised that he needed to take action, to seize the moment before it slipped away.
_
"And now I walk around without a care She's got me hooked It just ain't fair, but I... I'm love stoned and I could swear That she knows"
Fortunately for William, an opportunity presented itself one evening, and he was determined not to let it slip by. It was a typical Wednesday training session, with a match scheduled for the following day, and during the ice time, he inadvertently made a small movement, aggravating his existing back injury.
While not severe, the coaching staff still insisted on him being checked before the upcoming game. And luckily, you were still at the facilities, having just finished up a report when he entered the medical treatment room.
"Hey y/n," he greeted softly, walking with a slight crook in his step, the pain from his lower back evident.
"Hey William, what's up?" you asked, noticing his discomfort. "Is everything okay?" you inquired, concern evident in your voice.
"Just call me Willy," he smiled. "But um... yeah, I sort of did something... I mean... Kniesy tackled me, and now I can feel it in my back..." he explained with a light chuckle.
"Well, how about you undress a bit, and then we can take a closer look at it?" you suggested with a sweet smile, to which he simply nodded.
"Usually, I take the girls out before they ask me to strip," he cheekily remarked as he began to undress before you.
Raising a brow, you flashed him a grin and a questioning look. "Do you really?"
This was the type of banter that most of the players appreciated about you. You weren't afraid to push boundaries and test their comfort zones.
"Maybe not," William admitted with a chuckle as he stood in front of you, only the physio table separating you, in nothing but his short shorts before you directed him to lie face down.
"Well, at least you admit it," you replied softly, surprising yourself by engaging in a more personal conversation than usual. "Most guys just act like they couldn't care less."
William was slightly taken aback by your candidness. While you'd shared conversations where you got to know each other better, you hadn't delved into deeper opinions before.
"Why wouldn't I care?" William smiled as he shifted his head to the side, meeting your gaze as you stood beside the table. "I mean, she's still a person, right?"
"I don't know, I'm just saying what most guys do," you replied.
"Well, maybe I'm not like most guys," William retorted, his wink adding to his cheekiness.
His comment took you by surprise, causing you to pause for a moment. Though you hadn't exactly considered any of the players as close friends or thought about them in a romantic way, there was something about this Swede that suddenly had you reconsidering.
Was he flirting with you?
No, you dismissed the thought. You were definitely not his type, or any of the players for that matter. After all, you were just there to help maintain their health so they could perform at their best.
Yet, as you thought about it, you couldn't deny that most of the players were indeed attractive. And given that you'd seen most of them in various stages of undress, you knew what they looked like from head to toe.
And you probably couldn't deny the allure of the players. Each had their own charm – some were sweet and kind, while others were more playful and cheekier. Yet, none of them displayed any meanness or cruelty. Even Reaves, who often projected a rough and tough exterior, revealed a tender side when speaking about his family. In fact, most of the players with families exhibited a similar dichotomy. Despite their tough demeanour on the ice, they were remarkably different behind the scenes.
Then there were the younger players, some single, some in relationships, all equally playful and lacking a certain level of maturity. However, you found their antics amusing and entertaining. Perhaps only Woll, the sweetheart of the team, was less inclined towards playful banter, but lively, nonetheless.
And despite your bit of familiarity with these players on a personal level by now, they remained nothing more than the team you were tasked with caring for and supporting as needed.
So, pushing aside any lingering thoughts, you focused your attention on the player's bare back, beginning to apply pressure to his tender muscles to locate the sore spot.
"How's this?" you inquired in your professional tone.
"It's good, but maybe you need to go a bit lower... that's where the pain is worst," William responded, the cheekiness in his voice fading as he sensed your seriousness.
And as you continued to massage his back, applying pressure to different muscle groups before focusing on his lower back, a few minutes passed.
"Here?" you asked, indicating the area.
William nodded lightly, then hesitated, feeling a twinge of awkwardness as he tried to pinpoint the exact location of his discomfort.
"Uh, yes, but..." he cleared his throat. "Maybe even lower..."
You sensed his slight nervousness, understanding what he was hinting at. Yet, you remained professional, knowing exactly how to address his injury and provide appropriate care.
"Willy, are you referring to your sciatic area?" you asked.
"What's that?" he chuckled.
"Well, it's one of the largest nerves in the body, extending from your lower back down each leg," you explained, smiling even though he couldn't see it.
"Oh, so, uh..." he trailed off, unsure how to ask, and you couldn't help but chuckle lightly, maintaining your professional demeanour.
“It means I'll have to massage your glute - as in your bum. It's one of the largest muscles where the nerve runs behind, but it seems like yours is cramping a little, pressing onto the nerve, which causes the pain."
William understood your explanation, and a smirk crossed his face as he imagined your perspective on his ass at that moment.
"Well, I suppose there's nothing else to do but for you to go ahead," he chuckled lightly.
Sensing his slightly cheeky demeanour once again, you aimed to bring the situation back to a professional tone.
"Willy, it's nothing sensual. And believe me, it's probably a lot more painful than pleasant," you reassured him.
"I think I can handle it," he replied with a cocky smile.
"We'll see about that."
And with his understanding, you went ahead and placed your elbow onto his cheek and started to circle it in order to loosen up the cramp muscle.
“Shit!” William exclaimed as he suddenly felt the pain course through his body.
One thing in particular that you’d become known for amongst the players, was that you were rather strong compared to your size. And you didn’t hold back when you knew that their injuries required force.
“Told you it wasn’t pleasant.” You grinned softly, as you continued to massage his cheek.
And as more minutes went by, William’s deep grunts only grew more incoherent and out of breath. He was nothing but sore, yet as you released your arm from his body, he felt a newfound release washing over him. As if your massage had healing powers, the pain slowly faded into nothing, and he didn’t feel the twinge in his lower back any longer.
“Fuck…” he let out a deep sigh as he caught his breath.
“Need a minute, Nylander?” you mocked playfully and flashed him a grin as your eyes met with his.
“Maybe…” he softly admitted, still a little numb from the intense feeling you had caused him.
“That’s good, that means it’s working.”
You turned around to remove your latex gloves, and as your turned back, William slowly rose and turned to his side to face you, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over him. Despite the discomfort of the massage, he recognised its necessity and appreciated your expertise.
"Thanks, y/n," he said sincerely, meeting your gaze as you turned back to face him.
"You're welcome, Willy," you replied with a warm smile, appreciating his gratitude.
A moment of silence followed as you both remained still, and the tension of the massage easing away. Then, suddenly, William's expression softened, and he cleared his throat, as if preparing to speak.
"Listen, y/n, I... uh... I just wanted to ask..." he trailed off, his cheeks colouring slightly.
You raised an eyebrow, curious about what he was trying to express. "Yes?" you prompted gently.
But before William could continue, the door to the physio room swung open, and one of the team trainers entered, interrupting the moment.
"Hey, William, everything okay? I heard you were having some trouble with your back," Dean inquired, concern evident in his voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine now, thanks to y/n," William replied, shooting you a grateful look.
Dean nodded, then turned to you with a smile. "Thanks for taking care of him, y/n. We appreciate it."
You nodded in acknowledgment, though you couldn't hide the slight disappointment you felt at the interruption, before he swiftly left the room again. However, William's reassuring smile lifted your spirits, sparking a sense of excitement within you. Perhaps there was more to his earlier words than you had initially thought.
And as William watched you, a surge of determination coursed through him. This was his moment, his opportunity to finally express what had been on his mind for so long. So, with a deep breath, he pushed himself up to sit, his gaze unwavering as he met yours. The lingering soreness in his back served as a reminder of your expertise and the connection they shared.
"So, this is it?" he asked, his voice soft yet filled with anticipation, a hint of vulnerability peeking through his confident facade.
"Well, for now," you replied with a smile. "But we'll need to keep an eye on you to ensure it doesn't happen again like that. Cramps like these often come back." You found yourself unintentionally delving into the details of the injury, your passion for health and well-being shining through. "And, um... it's good to have someone who understands the injury to provide follow-up care," you concluded, realising you had been speaking more than intended. "Sorry, I'm rambling," you added with a sincere smile.
But William simply chuckled softly, finding your passion endearing as you spoke about the injury. He couldn't tear his gaze away from you, captivated by both your expertise and your beauty.
"Anyway, we should probably get back," you suggested softly, your friendly smile causing a flutter in William's heart.
But he didn't want this moment to end, not yet. Summoning his usual confidence, William spoke before he could second-guess himself. "Y/n, do you want to go out with me?" he asked, the words tumbling out faster than he could skate.
You didn't quite catch his words over the echoing noise of the hallways. "Pardon?" you asked, turning to face him, curiosity flickering in your eyes.
Taking a deep breath, William tried again. "I mean, since you've already massaged my ass... I was just thinking... maybe you want to go out with me... sometime?"
His question caught you off guard, leaving you momentarily stunned. Frozen in your position, you struggled to process the unexpected turn of events.
“Willy…” you started, unsure of how to respond. Could you go out with him, a player for the team you worked for? Had you overlooked any contractual restrictions regarding such situations?
Truth be told, you hadn't paid much attention to those details before, as they didn't seem relevant at the time. Yet here you were, faced with an unexpected situation.
As you hesitated, William sensed your uncertainty, a twinge of fear for rejection creeping into his mind. Had he overstepped the boundaries? Perhaps he had misread the signals or been too presumptuous. Chiding himself internally, he realised that charming you and engaging in physical contact were not enough to win your affections. You were different, and he needed to find a way to impress you.
"I mean," he interjected, attempting to ease the tension he had created. "I just know that, uhm, some of the other guys were, you know, thinking about asking you the same... so," he sighed, "Just thought I'd try and beat them to it," he added with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck.
Your confusion deepened at his explanation, feeling overwhelmed by the revelation. "Oh... wait, what?" you exclaimed, your mind racing at the thought of other players potentially having similar intentions.
You were baffled. Did the players talk about you when you weren’t there?
"You didn't know?" William looked at you, equally surprised, as his teammates hadn’t exactly been subtle in their flirting.
"Well, do I look like someone who knew?" you quipped, attempting to flash a crooked smile, causing William to simply let out a small laugh.
“Come on, they’ve all been flirting with you!” he chuckled.
“They have?”
“Yeah,” he smiled. “Well, now you know.”
You needed a moment to process it all. As you contemplated how to navigate this unexpected revelation, feeling unable to simply ignore it and return to your usual routine, you gazed at the Swede before you.
“But... why?”
Again, William laughed. “What do you mean why? Come on, y/n – you’re good-looking, funny, smart, and most of all, you don’t seem desperate or starstruck whenever you're around us,” he explained.
“Why would I be that?” you simply asked.
“Well, a lot of girls are, I mean, we’re hockey players,” William grinned confidently.
“Oh wow, please work on that self-confidence of yours,” you rolled your eyes as you crossed your arms. “Seriously, I don’t get why women would just throw themselves at your feet… you’re just… humans.”
“Well, they do,” William laughed again, his confident smirk still in place. “But I guess that’s just what we all like about you... that you don’t...”
“Hmm, I suppose I don’t,” you attempted a smile, still uncertain how to react to it all.
There was another moment of silence as the two of you simply stood before each other, your thoughts still swirling. However, as William hadn’t received a clear response, he let out a soft chuckle and decided to press on.
“So, do you?”
“Huh?” you blinked a few times, slowly returning to reality.
“Do you want to go out with me?” he chuckled once more. “Just for a coffee or something?”
He seemed genuinely serious about this, didn’t he? You thought. As you gazed into his deep ocean blue eyes, you couldn’t ignore the unexpected attraction you suddenly felt towards him. It might have been there for a while, but amidst your own musings, you hadn’t paid it much attention.
“Well, wouldn’t it be inappropriate?” you asked softly, still maintaining your professional demeanour despite the stirrings of emotion within you. But William simply shrugged in response.
“I don’t know… I mean, I guess in a way…” he let out a small sigh. “I just didn’t want to miss the chance, you know, in case you did want to…”
Once again, there was a lingering moment in the air. You couldn’t deny the temptation, given that you were, in fact, single, and had been missing a man’s touch ever since you’d focused so much on your internship. But a part of you felt like it would be wrong.
In a way, you worked for William. You couldn’t go out with him. What if it didn’t go well, and he’d hurt you or vice versa? Then it would just be awkward seeing each other every day. Or what if it went too well, but the management wouldn’t approve of it, and both of you would end up being hurt?
Your thoughts raced at a high speed, causing you to lightly gasp for air. Yet, your train of thoughts was interrupted by the door swinging open again and this time Lou entered.
“Oh hey,” he smiled. “You guys all done in here?”
“Yeah sorry, we just chatted,” William explained casually, as you remained frozen in position. “I better go.”
And as he left the room and Lou started to talk to you, you suddenly felt a wave of disappointment wash over you. Watching William leave with your indirect rejection of his proposal suddenly caused you to feel a sense of unease, perhaps making you realise that there was something more to it all.
Then as you realised you hadn’t heard a single word of what Lou had said, you excused yourself and hurriedly followed the Swedish player.
“Hey, Willy,” you called after him, causing him to halt and turn around. Trying to maintain your composure, you met him halfway and flashed him a sweet smile. “I suppose coffee wouldn’t be too bad,” you spoke softly, earning a smile from the taller player.
“Well then, I guess I’ll buy you a cup whenever there’s time,” he chuckled lightly, feeling a sense of relief.
“I’ll look forward to it,” you said with a soft smile, then turned around and forced yourself to refocus on work.
And as you walked away, William couldn’t help but bite his lip as he thought proudly about being the first to ask you out and your positive response. Finally, he could acknowledge all the emotions he’d been feeling for a while, and perhaps, just perhaps, you felt the same for him.

I would love to know how Ronal and Tonowari react to Spider. Especially when they watch him interact with the animals. Watch the animals teach him everything they can about the way of water. Watch him with the Tulkun when they return.
How do Ao'nung and Tsireya react? More so Ao'nung because we all know how he treats the Sully kids when they first arrive. I can't imagine him being as "nice" to Spider as he was to the Sully kids. It would be great if the animals helped put Ao'nung in his place. 🤣
Ok first, sorry for taking so long to answer this lovely ask!😅
At first Ronal is definitely horrified and disgusted to see a human in her village and she doesn’t hide that fact from anyone. But as time goes on she becomes a little more accepting and interested. Like when she sees the little glowing fish following him everywhere, even if he’s not in the water they’d still be close by (like sitting along the shore line only to swim away if anyone else try’s to get to close)
Tonowari would be a bit more accepting of it, choosing to believe that it’s fine it he doesn’t really get it at all because at lest Eywa knows what she’s doing…right?
He’s defiantly a little weirded out so see Spider playing with the Ilus and watching them copy him (like he tilts his head they tilt their head kind of thing)
But he’s about ready to have a heart attack when he sees Spider stick his hand in a skimwings mouth to feels all it’s teeth and compare them to his own, and the skimwing is just sitting there completely accepting the fact it’s being manhandled by a strange feral child.
Tsireya is very curious about him but a little shy? She’ll ask Lo’ak a bunch of constant questions until even he gets bored and tells her to just ask spider (which is impressive bc you know he is totally smitten with her 😂)
Eventually when she gets comfortable enough around him she starts taking him all over the village and islands so that she can see how all the different whildlife reacts to him, spider doesn’t really mind because he’s happy to experience the new things but Lo’ak gets a little jealous 😂 so he starts sulking and Spider starts occasionally hiding from Tsireya so that Lo’ak gets to spend couple time with her 😂😂
Ao’nung..oh boy..he’s not happy😂 like if he didn’t like the Sully kids? Then he hates Spider and makes it his mission to make him miserable….only it really backfires. Anytime Ao’nung try’s to verbally pick on Spider all the Sully’s and his sister gang up on him. Any time he try’s to pick on him or annoy him on land (like trying to take his food..the poor fool) Spider will bite him until he either stops or starts to bleed.
Whenever he try’s to make an ass of Spider in the water all the animals will just make him look stupid…eventually Ao’nung starts getting tired of constantly being smacked in the face by fishes and thrown off by his ilu but doesn’t stop what he’s doing.
I feel like Spider would be sort of oblivious to Ao’nungs hate of him and just think that the guy acts really stupidly😂
The animals are all really interested in him to say the least, but my favourite are definitely the Tulkun that just love to tell him the stories that have been past down for years and years, teaching him the lessons they’ve learned over their lives.
I also love the idea of Spider just excitedly swimming beside them, then when he gets tired he just sunbathes on their backs 😂
(Sorry this was kind of short! I didn’t want to leave it too long and have it drown in all the stuff I have to do so I thought I would try a get it out quicker!
Again sorry if the wait😅 I hope you liked this!! ❤️❤️)

Steve sighed after fixing up his hair for what felt like the hundredth time as he sat, waiting for any sign of the friend that Robin had sent to meet him. He was no stranger when it came to dates, but this had been the first time he’d ever gone on a blind date.
Robin said she’d be perfect for him, she was nothing like any of the other girls he’d been on dates with or flirted with. Which was perfect, considering how him trying to find himself a date never really worked out very well in his favor. But he trusted Robin.
He was just hoping he wasn’t set up with someone who was completely the opposite of his type. All he was hoping for was someone that at least acted normal. He needed someone to help make his life feel normal again.
He looked around the restaurant to try and spot you but to be honest he didn’t really know who he was looking for. All Robin told him about you was that you were a really cool person and you had a lot of different hobbies and interests, but she was hoping that you being opposites might help the attraction a bit more.
Steve almost jumped as he felt a gentle tap on his shoulder, and he gave you a kind smile as he saw you standing behind him.
“Are you Steve? I’m (y/n), I’m Robins friend.”
You were pretty, he couldn’t deny that. But once he saw you he felt like there was something off.
“Hey! Yeah, that’s me, it’s nice to meet you.”
He stood up from his chair and kindly shook your hand, guiding you to the other side of the table to push your chair in for you. Wether this would work or not, he still wanted to make a good first impression.
There were a few moments of awkward silence between the two of you as you sat across the table from one another, and Steve almost let out a sigh of relief as soon as he heard you start to talk.
“I’m guessing this is your first blind date too?” You asked him with a smile.
“Yeah,” He said with a laugh, “It’s alright though, i trust Robin. How do you two know each other?”
“We were best friends in elementary school, my family moved a few towns over freshman year but we still stayed in touch. What about you guys?” You asked.
“We met working at the mall together. I guess once you’re forced to work together in stupid sailor suits you’re friends forever.”
You shared a laugh and you felt a bit of blush rise to your cheeks.
Robin wasn’t lying when she told you that Steve was a good looking guy, not really your type, but he did have a pretty cute smile.
“So did Robin tell you anything about me?” You asked him, reaching for the glass of water across from you and taking a sip.
“Not really,” Steve said with a nervous laugh, “she said you were pretty-and you are-and she also said that she thinks we’d be a good match, but i think that’s about it.”
“She told me she thinks we’d be a good match too! I guess we should see if she’s right, what kind of stuff do you like? Music, movies, i wanna hear it all!”
“Oh no, i want to hear about you first!” Steve said to you, always the gentleman, “Tell me about yourself.”
“Alright, let’s see…” You racked your brain trying to think of some of the basics of yourself, “I really love music, it’s a big part of my life. Bands like The Cure, Wham!, and Huey Lewis and The News are some of my favorites but i think my favorite genre has to be heavy metal.” You said with a giggle.
“Really?” Steve asked with a smile, his eyebrow raised in curiosity, “You don’t really look the type to listen to music like that. Not that you have to look a certain way to listen to music, i’ve just got a friend who’s into that kind of music and you can tell almost instantly from the way he looks.”
“I get that a lot.” You giggled, “Most of the time for work or even when i’m meeting new people i like to just dress up… ‘normal’ i guess you could call it. I know that style isn’t for everyone so i wait until someone knows my personality first before i show them that side of myself. I’m sure your friend knows how judgy some people can be just from seeing that kind of style on someone.”
“Oh yeah,” He smiled, “unfortunately he knows those types of people all too well. But i know he’s a good person, just like i’m sure you’re a good person.”
You smiled to one another for a moment before the waiter came by for your orders, and after he left the table with your menus there were a few awkward moments of silence. As to be expected on any first date, especially a blind first date.
“So, what kind of music do you listen to?” You asked Steve, taking another few sips of your drink.
“I suppose it’s similar to yours, it’s really a bit of everything. Of course i like The Cure, who doesn’t, but i also really love Duran Duran, Beastie Boys have some great hits, and INXS too! I guess i’m just an average guy with an average music taste.” He said with a laugh.
“There’s nothing wrong with that!” You smiled, “Everyone likes what they like! As long as they’re not judging other people i feel like having an average music taste or a unique one is all the same.”
Steve nodded, sharing the same opinion as you. Maybe this blind date wouldn’t be as bad as he imagined.
“Alright, so we’ve got one thing we agree on! What about movies? Favorite movie, least favorite movie, genre?”
“That’s a good one! I guess i would have to say my favorite genre is horror. I love all different kinds of movies but horror has to be my favorite.”
Steve nodded as he listened to your response, though he did have a thought at the back of his mind.
From the way you’re describing yourself, it seems like you’d get along with Eddie a lot better than him.
He thought you were a really nice girl, very pretty obviously, but just based on interest he was surprised Robin didn’t try to set you up with Eddie first.
“What kind of movies do you like?”
You asked Steve, interrupting his train of thought.
“I guess if i had to pick a favorite genre, i’d say those goofy teen rom coms. You know, Sixteen Candles, Dirty Dancing, Can’t Buy Me Love. I don’t know what it is about those movies but they just reel me in you know?”
You giggled at his response, not hearing that kind of answer from other guys that looked like Steve. Handsome, put together, he was someone who seemed like he had a cool exterior at first but now that you were getting to know him he seemed more and more like someone you would be friends with. It’s not that he wasn’t cute or he wasn’t charming, he had those two boxes checked off quite easily, he just wasn’t normally your type.
The waiter soon returned to your table with your meals and throughout the night you and Steve shared a few laughs and funny stories with one another. Steve was someone you would adore being friends with, and you knew exactly why Robin was his friend too. Not to mention it gave her someone to pick on throughout the day, she needed someone like that. But you thought this was a blind date? Those friend feelings arose halfway through the night, you two had a decent amount in common and just enough differences to keep things interesting but throughout your dinner you just didn’t get that spark that usually happens on dates. To be honest, you were hoping that Steve was able to pick that up too.
Nothing worse than picking up on the wrong signals.
He cleared his throat gently to get your attention back to him as you finished your dinners and you looked up to him once more.
“You know…” He started, a nervous laugh on his lips, “I think it’s quite funny that Robin thought you and I would be a perfect match, not that i don’t think we would be! It’s just that,” He let out another laugh, “You’ve got much more in common with another friend we have, i’m surprised she didn’t set you up with him instead.”
You smiled to him, knowing that he wasn’t meaning anything bad by it, but this mystery boy he was mentioning definitely caught your attention.
You had never really been introduced to people with the same interests as you, especially a boy, given the small town you lived in. But it was nice knowing that Robin and Steve knew another person you would get along with. And you wanted to kick Robin for not setting you up with this metal boy.
“That’s alright! I mean given the fact that he’s Robins friend, and yours too, i’m sure i’ll meet him eventually.”
“You definitely should! You know, i don’t know if it’s right of me to tell you about another guy while we’re on a date, but i think you two would get along pretty well.” He said to you with a smile.
“I don’t take any offense to it. You know, to be completely honest with you,” you leaned in close to him and lowered your voice a bit, “i’m kind of glad we both agree that we didn’t really feel those ‘relationship’ feelings you know? You’re a great guy, but you’re someone i think i’d get along better with as friends.”
“I couldn’t agree more.” Steve smiled, “I’m also glad you’re the one that brought it up, i didn’t want to be the asshole that told you i just wanted to be friends on the first date.”
You giggled and picked up your water glass to clink with his,
“How about we agree that this isn’t a date, it’s more of… making a new friend?”
Steve smiled and picked up his glass, gently clinking it with yours in a cheers,
“To making new friends!”
The two of you smiled and sipped your drinks, Steve setting his down and calling the waiter over for the check,
“Since this did start out as a date, i feel it’s only necessary to still be the gentleman and pay. BUT, i need you to do something for me…”
You cocked your head to the side and shot him a strange look,
“What’s that?”
“You need to come and hang out with us all next week. It’ll be fun! We usually go to my place, or Robins, there’s going to be a bunch of us there. Including that guy i was telling you about, and a few of our other friends. You in?”
You thought it over for a moment.
It would be nice to see Robin again, and of course you’d love to hang out with Steve. Not to mention that metal boy would be there.
“Id love to! It sounds like fun.” You said to him with a smile.
“Awesome! You free on Friday?”
“Sure am.”
“Perfect, let me get you my address and phone number just so you know where to go.” Steve grabbed the pen on top of the check and wrote his address and number for you onto the back of the receipt, handing it to you, “There. And if you lose this until then, i’m sure Robin knows exactly where to go.”
“I’m excited! It’ll be nice to get to hang out with you and Robin, and meet some new people too.”
“You’ll fit right in with everyone, they’re gonna love you.”
Especially Eddie, Steve thought as he stood up from the table and quickly made his way around to pull your chair out for you, earning another giggle from you.
“Still a gentleman, hm?”
“Always.” He said to you with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So, tell me again how you met this girl?” Eddie asked Steve as they walked through Steve’s home into the living room.
As always, Eddie was the last person to arrive, but everyone else expected it from him. It had happened too many times for it to not happen tonight too, even when Steve said he had a girl for him to meet.
“Robin set me and her up on one of those blind date things, but we’re better off as friends. YOU, however, would be perfect for her so you’re lucky i like you enough to invite her over so you can meet her.”
Eddie scoffed and rolled his eyes with a smile, but as soon as the two turned true corner he froze as his eyes laid upon you.
You were sat between Robin and Nancy on the floor, talking about got knows what when Argyle cut in and got a few giggles out of the three of you.
Steve shot Eddie a strange look as he saw him standing awestruck in the hall,
“You alright?”
Eddie grabbed Steve’s collar and quickly pulled him back into the hall, eagerly whispering to him to keep from the rest of you hearing,
“THAT is the girl you brought for me? HER?”
Steve cocked his eyebrows, thinking he somehow had done something wrong from Eddie’s tone,
“Yes?… Is that a bad thing?”
“Bad thing?!” Eddie peeked back into the living room to get one last look at you, seeing your pretty smile and your bright eyes, “Steve you’re telling me you got set up with a girl that looks like… THAT?! And you WERENT interested?”
Steve smiled, finally hearing the mixture of nervousness and excitement in Eddie’s voice,
“No, she’s not my type. But i know she’s your type so i asked her to come along for tonight. She seemed to like you from what i told-“
“What did you tell her about me?” Eddie said, quickly cutting off Steve mid-sentence.
“I just told her you had similar interests! Same taste in music and movies, plus she’s got a cute smile and i know you love it when girls have a cute smile.”
“Hey, don’t talk about my girl that way.”
“Your girl?” Steve laughed, “You don’t even know her name yet.”
“…Well what’s her name?”
“Go ask her!” Steve said, pushing Eddie back and grabbing hold of the back of his jacket as he walked the two of them into the living room.
As soon as you looked up towards Eddie with that pretty smile on his face he knew he wouldn’t even be able to say ‘Hello’ to you.
The rest of the group welcomed Eddie with all smiles, Robin giving him a quick roll of the eyes,
“It’s about time you showed up, we were thinking you were just gonna skip out.”
“Of course he wouldn’t!” Steve said happily, letting go of his grip on Eddie’s jean jacket but still keeping his hand to the middle of his back, “Eds, this is (y/n), she’s Robins friend.”
You smiled to Eddie as Steve introduced you and you gave him a little wave from your spot in the couch, your cheeks blushing the sweetest shade of pink as you muttered a quiet,
“Hi.” To Eddie.
All he could do was stand before you and stare in awe, that is until Steve brought him out of his trance with a quick smack to his back.
“Hi!” Eddie said to you, nearly shouting.
You giggled a bit seeing how clearly nervous Eddie was just from being in your presence, and it was cute just to see how he acted before even officially meeting you.
Eddie was definitely how Steve described him. Tall, long hair, pretty brown eyes, and from his style it seemed like he would be acting a lot more confident than he was but just from a simple exchange of ‘hello’s you could see right through it.
He was just another shy nerdy boy getting nervous around a pretty girl.
The night went on as it normally did. Everyone talking and sharing laughs, watching movies and listening to music, at one point someone threw out the idea to order pizza and it felt like the greatest idea you’ve heard all night.
Steve grabbed the menu for the local place and with everything you all had wanted to order it would be a lot cheaper if someone went to go pick it up rather than delivering it.
“Well who’s gonna go pick it up?” Johnathan asked the group, but of course no one wanted to leave the party.
You all looked at one another for a moment before Eddie finally spoke up,
“I was the last car in the driveway, i can go pick it up.”
“(y/n) can go with you!” Robin said to him with a smile, and you could see how Eddie tensed up.
You flashed Eddie another smile as you stood up from your place on the couch,
“Sure, i don’t mind. You’ll probably need some help with all the stuff we ordered.”
Eddie smiled and nodded as the two of you got ready to head out, giving everyone a few waves before stepping out into the dark night, the gravel of Steve’s driveway crunching under your feet as you made your way down to Eddie’s van.
The walk was slow and quiet, but as you approached the van Eddie quickly picked up his pace, taking a step in front of you to open the passenger door for you, earning a smile from you.
“Wow, what a gentleman,” You said with a giggle as you climbed up into the passenger seat, “thank you, that’s sweet of you.”
“Well i think a pretty girl like you should be treated like one.” He said to you with a smile before shutting your door and making his way over to the drivers side.
You could see the pink covering Eddie’s cheeks the moment he shut his car door. And as much as you wanted him to be the one to initiate a conversation you knew that he was probably just too nervous to. So adorable.
“You know, you’re a lot like Steve described you.” You said as he pulled out of the driveway.
“Really?” He asked you, “Nothing too bad i hope.” He laughed nervously, his grip on the steering wheel getting tighter.
“Oh no! Nothing bad, i promise.” You said with a giggle, watching every so often as the streetlights illuminated his face beside you, “He said you and me were pretty similar actually.”
Eddie smiled, cocking his eyebrows as he looked over to you,
“Really? Us?”
You nodded and looked down to your lap, trying to hide the lightest blush on your cheeks. You knew the darkness around you would hide it but still, you didn’t want him to see how much he made you blush.
“So tell me about you then, what kind of stuff are we into?” He said with a smile.
“Hm…” You thought for a moment, smiling to yourself as you remembered the same conversation you had with Steve not even a week ago, “Well, i really like horror movies. Especially the ones from the 70’s, like the types of movies with all the gore and the really bad effects.”
“No way, pretty girls aren’t into that kind of stuff,” He said with a laugh, “i feel like you’re messing with me.”
“I’m not!” You giggled, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Eaten Alive, movies like that are my favorite.”
“Alright fine, but there’s no way we’ve got the same taste in music, i don’t think i’ve met any girls that listen to the same bands i do.”
“Well let’s hear some of the bands you like, i’ll tell you if i’ve listened to them.”
“Alright, um…” Eddie racked his brain to think of the most listened to cassettes in his collection at the moment, “Annihilator?”
“I really liked their first album! But i wasn’t really a fan of Crystal Ann.”
“Wow, i didn’t think that would’ve been a band you were into.” Eddie said with a smile, turning down the street, “Let’s see… What about Metal Church?”
“I love them! I think they might be my favorite band to be honest with you.” You giggled.
You thought you could hear Eddie giggle along with you under his breath, and you were hoping to hear it a few more times that night.
For a boy you quite literally just met, he was just so enchanting. It was nice to have someone to talk to.
Eddie pulled into the parking lot of the pizza place and as you unbuckled your seatbelt he stuck his hand out to stop you. They were calloused but still so soft on top of yours.
“Don’t worry about it, i’ve got it sweetheart. You just sit there and look pretty.” He said to you with a cheeky smile.
You playfully rolled your eyes and smiled as you sat back into your seat.
Eddie made his way inside with the money and you watched him pick up the pizza boxes and set a few brown bags on top of them, quickly bringing them back out to the van and setting them in the back before jumping back into the drivers seat.
“That was pretty quick,” You giggled, “you didn’t need to rush back out here.”
“Sure i did.” He smiled to you as he started the van up again, “I got a pretty girl waiting in here for me.”
You smiled back to him and turned yourself away, feeling the heat rising on your cheeks as you blushed. He was a bit dorky, but at least he was honest.
The drive back was quieter than normal, though Eddie only had himself to blame. For some reason, whenever you tried to start up another conversation he would give you short answers, not really sure how to continue talking to you. It wasn’t anything he meant to do with ill intent, he loved talking to you, but the boy was just so nervous around you.
Sure, you had wonderful conversations on the drive up, and the things he learned about you were only making him fall harder for you, but he was worried if he was thinking too much into things.
You had the same taste in movies, music, and from what he could tell you seemed like a genuine person. If you were Robins friend he knew that for a fact, but since she thought you would work better with Steve he was curious as to how he was holding up with you.
Did you like him?
Were you giggling at him because he was being cute and funny or because you felt like you needed to?
Was it a step too far calling you pretty so many times?
The boy felt love struck. Like he was experiencing his first crush all over again. He didn’t know what it was about you, but he was wrapped around your finger without even knowing it.
As he pulled back into Steve’s driveway, he finally addressed the silence on the ride home,
“Sorry, i know i was kind of quiet on the way back…” He said with a nervous laugh.
“It’s ok! Don’t be sorry, i was just worried i said or did something wrong.” You nervously smiled to him, hoping that wasn’t the case.
“Oh, no! No, you didn’t say or do anything, i’m sorry. I don’t know why i was so quiet on the way back. Honestly i think it’s because you make me a little nervous…” His sentence trailed off, hoping that you didn’t hear his last few words. Eddie didn’t want to seem like the type of guy who got too scared around girls to even talk to them.
You smiled to him and glanced over at him from the side,
“I make you nervous?” You giggled, Eddie smiled again hearing your laugh.
“A little…” He admitted. He never felt this vulnerable to quickly but with you it just felt so natural.
“You don’t have to be nervous around me! I think you just need to get to know me better.”
“Yeah…” A sudden thought popped into Eddie’s head, one that he knew would either make or break whatever possibilities of a relationship he had with you, but he had to make his move sometime, “I guess you’re right. How about next week we can get to know each other better? Just you and me?”
“You mean like a date?” Your sudden question threw him off. He was shocked you seemed so eager for him to ask, and the little twinge on excitement he heard in your voice was enough to confirm his suspicions that he made the right choice asking you.
“Yeah, like a date! Robin told me you live a little ways out of town but i don’t mind driving out a little bit. How about i pick you up at 6 on saturday and show you some of my favorite places around town?”
You smiled and felt a bit of blush rise to your cheeks, but you didn’t care if Eddie saw it,
“It’s a date.” You leaned over and before he could even give you a proper response, the gentle peck on his cheek was enough to make his face red.
You giggled and quickly jumped out of his van, him slowly following after you as he grabbed the food from the back.
The rest of the gang were waiting inside for the two of you, and they would’ve questioned Eddie’s strange demeanor had they not been starving and waiting for their food. Johnathan and Argyle were the first ones to start scarfing down the pizza as Robin and Nancy took out the rest of the appetizers and Steve grabbed some plates.
You wandered over next to Robin to help set up the rest of the food and Eddie wandered off to get some drinks when you felt a nudge on your arm,
“So?” Robin asked, “How was your ride with loverboy?”
“Shush!” You nudged her arm back with a smile, “And it was good. He’s taking me out on a date on saturday!”
Steve cut into your conversation as he set the plates down next to you,
“See! I told you they’d be perfect for each other.”
“Alright, fine, sorry.” Robin said with an eye roll, “I’ll never bother setting you up with someone ever again.”
“Woah, i never said that.”
“You just have to set him up with people that are similar to him instead of the opposite.” You said to Robin with a smile.
“My bad for trying to play cupid, can we just eat?” She gave you and Steve another eye roll but you both
Eddie wandered back over to the table and grabbed two plates, making himself one along with one for you with two cans of soda under his arms,
“(y/n), come sit with me?” He asked you with puppy dog eyes, holding up the plates to convince you further.
Steve and Robin watched as the two of you sat at the living room table, a conversation quickly starting up between the two of you on the couch but they were respectful enough to not try and make out whatever it was you were talking about. They’d see how things worked out eventually.
Steve smiled as he saw the two of you getting along so perfectly already and leaned over to Robin,
“You really thought i would make a better match for (y/n) than Eddie? Look at them, they’re perfect together.”
“They really are, aren’t they?”
Robin smiled, watching as Eddie slipped his jean jacket off to show you a few of the tattoos on his arms.
“You know i guess you didn’t do too bad playing match maker,” Steve said to her, “you just have to wait for the matches to sort themselves out.”
“Yeah, i guess this one just worked itself out for the better.” Robin looked around at the rest of the group, seeing Nancy sitting with Argyle and Johnathan, doing her best to keep the two of them from making an even bigger mess. She laughed to herself and nudged Steve, motioning him to look over at Johnathan and Argyle sharing a laugh,
“You think that’ll ever work itself out?”
Do you think by the end and ayitl Loralai realised what a good guy Jess was?
Hi, Anon! So sorry for the late reply, sometimes Tumblr doesn’t notify me when I get asks. I only saw yours because of the newer one you sent today 😅 (well, at least I suppose that was you). So, yeah, I apologize for that…
Anyways, if by “was” you mean back when he was a teenager, no, I don’t think she’s changed her mind about that lmao. She probably still believes she was right for not wanting Rory to date Jess at that time. She clearly understands better than anyone else why he acted the way he did — so she knows it wasn’t coming from nowhere —, but she can understand that and still not want him to date her daughter, you know? I do get that, but one of the things I really didn’t like about the way she approached the whole “Jess situation” was how she apparently always craved direct confrontation with him every time a “conflict” would arise and how she herself seemed to turn back into a teenager when talking to him in these cases (“Oh, don’t ‘whatever’ me, you little jerk!”, “She is ooover you!”, among other completely unnecessary and inappropriate interactions between a full-on adult and a kid).
So my point is: Lorelai always knew why teenage Jess was the way he was (and that it wasn’t entirely on him), but still didn’t like him and didn’t want him near her daughter, because 1) on the surface level, they had awful first impressions of each other, and the show’s events didn’t allow them to fully and explicitly correct that (they perhaps made it even worse), and 2) on a deeper level, as we all know, Lorelai saw too much of her younger self in him and she didn’t deal very well with that (hence the terrible interactions I mentioned above). The show didn’t change anything about this, so that’s why I think her opinion of teenage Jess remains the same, even when in comparison to Rory’s other boyfriends (though I’d like to believe she now sees that they were no good either in the end, that would probably still not work in Jess’s favor to her, only against the other two 😂).
On the other hand, if you’re referring to the guy Jess turned out to be after he matured and worked on himself, I think it’s pretty safe to say that Lorelai knows he is great. There’s no evidence to the contrary (that he’s great) and they’re perfectly civil to each other — as they should be, since they’re both adults now. Also, let’s be honest, Luke’s probably gushing about Jess and his accomplishments at every opportunity 😂. He already did that back when Lorelai’s motives to dislike Jess were still fresh in her mind (telling her about him winning employee of the month), and now he has even more reason to do so (Rory’s comment “Luke tells me that the book press is going great” is a good indication of that). So I think Lorelai is fairly up-to-date with the reality of the new and improved Jess. As to her unfortunate remarks regarding him in the revival (like suggesting Luke should toss a ball at him), I believe that’s just her past animosity toward him making itself remembered like a phantom limb — it’s not truly there anymore, but she can’t help but still feel it from time to time anyway. Because, yeah, strong opinions can be hard to let go of 🤷♀️, especially for someone as proud and stubborn as Lorelai.
So that is my take, Anon, I hope it wasn’t completely incomprehensible 😅. Thanks for the ask!
Hey there love! Here for the ask game. ☺️
💋✨❌🙋♀️👀
Hi @heynikkiyousofine! Fanfic Writers Emoji Asks 💋 First kiss fics. Love em or hate em? Love love love em! The dynamics that lead up to a first kiss are so much fun to read and to write!
✨ Give you and your writing a compliment. Go on now. You know you deserve it. 😉
Woof... Um... I think my writing can do a good job of conveying emotion to the reader? At least that's what I gather from reader comments. And I tend to hear that my characterizations are pretty on point, which is a pretty awesome compliment in my opinion.
❌ What’s a trope you will never write? I hate to say NEVER, but probably truly dark non-con. It's just not within my capabilities and I would struggle with it too hard to even attempt it.
🙋♀️ Do any irl people know you write fanfic?
My husband, my therapist, and most recently my best friend of almost 25 years. She was shocked I had managed to keep it a secret from her for 20 years. 😂
👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please!
Hm... Let's see. I have... too many. lol I'm working on my @inu-spiration Halloween Reverse Bang piece, which is beating me up. It's over 18k words now and not as close to done as I would like... But I can't reveal details about that one yet. I CAN talk about the fact that I've been working on the next chapters of both How Does Your Garden Grow? and Your Lying Smile.
I'm also working on the next chapter of By Rights, but that won't go up until @inuparentsday in January. For funsies, here's a snippet of that! (Under the cut for spoilers)
Dinner was uncomfortable at best. Touga tried to simultaneously watch his "rival" and act as though he had no interest in him whatsoever. It was more challenging than one might think. Subtly was not really his forte and neither was small talk. He could make pleasantries when needed — and conversation with someone he wanted to speak with was fine — but pretending to be cordial with two men he would much prefer to punch in the face was pushing his limits. Izayoi’s father was making a point to inflate Takemaru’s ego – as if the man needed any more arrogance – and trying to make Izayoi see his many advantages as a husband. Were he not able to catch her scent, he would know from the look in her eyes alone that she was only more and more disgusted with the whole situation as the meal progressed. He too was becoming increasingly frustrated with the flagrant favoritism and ego-stroking. But he held his tongue and simply spoke to Izayoi when appropriate, or commented on “how impressive” the new lordling’s holdings were. “Izayoi, my dear,” Takemaru crooned in a saccharine tone. “The kitchen staff cannot wait to make this for you when you arrive.” He waved a hand and a highly anxious server sidled up next to her with a small platter with some kind of sweet on it. A pastry of some kind, it appeared, filled with something. He could smell it from where he sat, but couldn’t identify the ingredients. “Exotic chocolate from trading with the islands.” “It looks very nice,” she spoke politely to the server, “but I am so full from our delicious meal, I couldn’t possibly eat another bite.” Touga bit his lip to hold back a smirk. She’d hardly touched her food, sneaking what she could get away with to her father’s dogs under the table. He didn’t like that she wasn’t eating, but he understood her lack of appetite. Even he felt the lingering “wrongness” in the air and it was unsettling to him. He hadn’t anticipated that Izayoi would be able to sense it – her father certainly didn’t seem to – but she was noticeably antsy in a way he was not used to seeing in her. She definitely never acted that way in his presence.
“After breaking up with Leyla and allowing her to stay in the apartment in the finale, Lauren relies on her friends for a place to stay and it doesn’t go as well as she hoped….Leyren fans should be prepared, there is a big shocker at the end of the episode that even I didn’t see coming.”
Okay the negative bitch in me says Leyla ends up moving back home to Pakistan or being married? Idk but with how much they love to spring surprises on the audience instead of building on current stories(also by how generally bitter the review is lmao)I’m guessing it’s something insane. Moving back would be heartbreaking but at least give us closure while a husband would just. Destroy any hope I have of the writers being sane and actually caring about Leyla/Leyren. Plus it’ll make Leyla haters act even weirder about Leyla than they already are. I know hardcore Leyren fans see some kind of plan but their storyline last season left a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouths(mine included but I personally felt like everyone was written OOC so I don’t even blame the characters like it’s just terrible,terrible,terrible writing. I mean giving Lauren money in a paper bag? What the actual fuck lmao. But yeah let’s say things go the hopeful route. Maybe Leyla asks Lauren to try again? Idk how that would be surprising unless they’re in a really bad place the entire episode though. Also, it’s been a year and a half(Luna was 3, she’s 5 now)and Lauren hasn’t found a place yet? Yeah NYC is expensive but Lauren the millionaire hasn’t found a place and has to room with a friend? Yeah ok😂the writers might as well just be honest with us rn and admit Bloomnolds is on the horizon LOL!!
anon 2: Leyla seeing someone else right now is terrible. Literally terrible I mean even if they get back together in last couple of episodes it will feel so cheap. Yeah she’s allowed to date whoever she wants but damn them together in Lauren’s apartment hurts. And knowing Lauren is still so in love with her? Since when would she do that! I guess this is the opener for Lauren to stay with her sister but they couldn’t think of anything else? anon 3: Lololol what a shame about Leyren. They could've left it open ended at 4×22. 🤷🏻♀️ anon 4: I’m so very disappointed in how Leyren ended up. I didn’t have a ton of hope after the bribe but I thought there had to be a method to the madness instead there was just more madness. I don’t get it, why put them through all that for such a useless ending? The bribe was one thing but the other issues they kept dumping on them was insane. Not to mention trashing Leyla in the end which makes me so sad. They could’ve let her go and had her be the one that got anyway but they decided to do this instead and I don’t get it.
let me just say, i emphatically agree with all of you about how disappointing it was that they wrote leyla out that way. i don't think the time between s4 and s5 was a long as 1.5 years, likely a couple of months. but agreed, leyla is allowed to date whoever she wants but did she have to bring the woman back to the apartment that belongs to her ex-gf who she knows is still in love with her 😭 doesn't this lady have her own place y'all can go to 😭 leaving that moment as the last time we physically see leyla too??? the next tidbit we get is that her visa cleared and she moved out and also transferred residency to a different hospital in NYC. it felt so sweeping things under the rug and move along for a relationship between two characters that spanned almost half the lifetime of the show. at least floyd and evie got a proper, even if melancholy, goodbye. i agree that if this was going to be the way they played it out, should've just left things at 4x22 and start 5x01 with leyla written out offscreen. the writers really did their best to leave us with a bitter taste in our mouths as a last impression of her character smh.
also how am i suppose to believe that leyla shinwari, who was always so conscious to be careful and respectful of lauren's apartment, the space that leyla once was part of the beginning of building a life there together, is now fine and dandy bringing over a new woman to the place that she knows she's staying as a guest??? i could've lived with this if they had kept her character around and actually let them slowly repair the foundation of their relationship through working together in the ED. but alas. then to throw salt in the wound, that interview from schulner after the episode that was just like 'yeah nvm the bribe irrevocably fucked them up.' like fuck off dog then what was the point of us going through the back half of s4 and the shitty mess that spiraled from that 😭???? you know what, maybe it's actually a small blessing that the writers didn't approach leyren getting back together in the finale episodes of the series. god knows how they would've fucked that up. i just hate that they fucked up canon so much that the fanfic writers lost all motivation to even do a fix it 😔✊
The thing is that Mike and El fundamentally misunderstand one another and don’t really have any desire to understand the other. They show no interest in learning anything about the other on a deeper level. In s4, El decides the things they’re going to do together as a way of spending quality time together, but that’s the problem… she decides without asking Mike and the things she lists off show how she has no idea who he is or what he enjoys. These are not things Mike would do if he had a say. She only decides to go to that roller rink because she hopes it will make her seem cool, and that’s all she cares about in regards to Mike. Seeming cool to him because he has idolized her as a “super hero”
Even when it comes to their dramatic reunions and moments of seeming happiness as a couple, we are always tipped off and shown that actually, that happy relationship we are being shown isn’t real. Mike and El look happy on the surface, but they’re not and they’ve never been.
At the snowball, Mike was sitting completely alone watching people dance including his friends with a very concerning expression on his face.
But we aren’t allowed to see what he’s really feeling and we aren’t allowed to know what he’s thinking about. But when El enters said dance, it gives you the impression that he is using her in this moment to sweep said thoughts and feelings under the rug. I mean, he goes from this ^ to plastering a smile on his face and playing this role of perfect romantic date at cliche school dance in a matter of seconds lol
In the same season, when they have that dramatic reunion when she walks into the Byers house, he flat out lies to her face by saying he always believed she was alive and that he never gave up hope. Yet we as the audience know he very much did believe she was dead and that he voiced this belief to both Will and Max on separate occasions.
In s3, El just decides they’re a couple again without actually asking Mike first or even talking about it prior from what we can gather. The moment is further soiled by the fact that Mike lies to her again. He pretends he doesn’t know what she’s talking about because he wants to act like it never happened; sweep it under the rug. And then she just straight up kisses him without warning and we visibly see him not kiss back and he has his eyes wide open the entire time
Seriously, this makes me feel so uncomfortable 😭
Then she says she loves him and he doesn’t even reply 😭😭😭😭😭 and he looks confused as hell. She says she loves him purely because he blurted it out when she wasn’t supposed to hear and it was something he clearly didn’t mean, at least not romantically. This is after they’ve had virtually zero positive interaction.
In s4, they reunite dramatically in the desert and act happy and loving but we literally know that Mike was JUST talking about how insecure he felt being with El and how unhappy he is and also how he views their entire relationship as being “simple dumb luck”.
It’s interesting that he defines his relationship with El that way but when speaking about his relationship with Will, he defines it as “the best thing I’ve ever done.” As in, El is dumb luck bestowed upon him and he feels the pressure to be with her because it’s expected vs Will was a conscious choice he made that he also doesn’t regret.
They also don’t even make up during this whole reunion. They don’t even speak about their issues or if so, we aren’t allowed to see it on screen. What a great couple <3333
Hell, even in s1 they were bad. Mike was pressured to have romantic feelings for her by not just Dustin but specifically Lucas and even Nancy. Mike slaps and screams at El multiple times. El threatens his and his loved ones lives. Mike says he views her as his ultimate weapon he can use to rescue Will. He pushes her to use her powers to the max and then feels guilty when he believes she dies. El tries to tell Mike she understands his bullying dilemma but she legitimately doesn’t 😂 Mike feels forced to act like a caregiver toward her but in reality doesn’t give much of a fuck about her until after she lets him know that she knows how to help Will, which is the entire reason he even allows her to stick around.
And this isn’t even getting into the fact that El asked “will you be like my brother?” 2 seconds before Mike kissed her (and she also had no idea what kissing even was beforehand)
Imagine believing the Duffers are writing a five-season slow burn rejection of a gay teen. A gay teen who has been bullied by his dad and peers and tortured by supernatural entities. A gay teen who canonically feels like a mistake except for when he's with the best friend he fell in love with.
Imagine thinking that would be good writing.
Request: Hey!! I was wondering if you write a Drabble where Amenadiel asks Lucifer to babysit Charlie for the day and Lucifer is freaking out cause he has no idea what to do. Reader thinks it’s hilarious and teases him but decides to help him out anyway😂 Lucifer is impressed and acts all soft seeing how smart and gentle she is with kids, cue in fluffiness🥰
By: Anonymous
The muttering under his breath wouldn’t cease. It was endearing at first, but had slowly turned to frustrating as Charlie’s cries continued to echo through the room.
Lucifer had been trying, and failing-miserably, you might add- to comfort his little nephew. Charlie’s sobs weren’t subsiding in the least, and his volume on increased with each moment that dragged on.
“Just hands me his bloody problem,” he enunciated, holding his nephew a great distance from his body, “and poof, he’s gone.”
“Lucifer, I can-“
“I don’t need help, (Y/N),” he denies flatly, not even giving you the chance to plead your case. “If I needed someone beaten and bloodied I’d ask you, this requires someone gentle.”
You don’t even pretend to not be offended. You took pride in your strength, yes, but that in no way detracted from your ability to be “gentle”. The downturn of your lips and fiery glare went entirely unnoticed by the man, lost to his own train of thought.
“Maybe I could call-“
Before he finished his sentence, using his distractedness as an opportunity, you slipped Charlie out from his outstretched arms and cradled him to your chest. The baby’s cries continued, a cacophony of tiredness and confusion.
“Well great, now you’ve gone and made him cry even more.”
You paid Lucifer no mind, giving baby Charlie in your arms a gentle smile.
Slowly, and ever so gently, you began to rock him, a soft sway back and forth, to lull him into comfort. It worked, as his cries began to subside. And, as you began to whisper down to the boy, he grew silent.
Lucifer had held his breath the entire time, watching the encounter with a stillness he wasn’t sure he possessed. Genuine care shone in your eyes, and he felt his chest thump and swell with affection at the sight. It was instinctual almost, like an uncontrolled reaction he could never hope to avoid. He wasn’t sure he wanted to, as a warmth crawled up his body, settling deep in his chest. A part of him wanted to curse his own heart and mind for betraying his feelings, but he couldn’t, too entranced with your every move as you carried the boy to his cradle and placed him carefully inside. You tucked him in, grabbed the baby monitor, and closed the door, as if it were the most natural thing.
“Maybe next time I offer help you should listen,” you commented, a satisfied smirk growing on your lips.
“I had no idea you had experience caring for children.” He replied, adjusting his cuff and raising a brow. “I didn’t realize there was even more than a hard punch and a pretty face.”
“I didn’t realize you’re even worse with children than you are with compliments.”
He at least had the decency to look sheepish.
“Not my forte, it seems.” He shrugged, pulling the flask he always kept handy out. “Where, pray tell, did you learn to handle children?”
The wording was odd, at best, but you knew Lucifer meant no harm by it.
“My sister, she has a few kids.”
You accepted the flask with a smile.
“You could definitely use some practice though,” you stuck your tongue out teasingly, before taking a swig. As per usual, it went down a lot smoother than any alcohol you could hope to afford.
“Indeed,” he muttered under his breath, “Perhaps I should study you more closely.”
There was a hint of teasing in his voice, not uncommon during your exchanges, but there was a vulnerability there too. The image of him staring at you as you cared for Charlie popped into your mind for a brief second before you buried it.
Deep.
“Anyways,” you cleared your throat, “I can keep an eye on Charlie until Amenadiel is back, go enjoy the rest of your night?”
“Don’t have to tell me twice,” Lucifer tried to sound unaffected, but it was weak, breathy.
A tension simmered in the air, unspoken words and long awaited actions swirling in the stillness, waiting to be broken. However, neither of you moved, just holding eye contact momentarily before you broke it, looking down at the plastic monitor in your hand.
“If I need Charlie to cry more I’ll be sure to call you,” you couldn’t help but tease him one more time, try to reestablish the typical dynamic.
It was a valiant effort, but it failed, as Lucifer let out a small chuckle.
“You have my number.”
There was a pause- Lucifer searching for the right words, and you hoping to hear what you’d been waiting to- only for the moment to slip through your fingers, the tension dissipating as he turned towards the door.
“Goodbye, (Y/N).”
He waited long enough to hear a soft, “Goodbye, Lucifer,” before fleeing the scene.
His heart skipped a beat.
He needed time to process it all, to understand what he was feeling.
And then he would come back.
He promised.
Not aloud, and not to you, but to himself, that once he understood it, he would tell you.
He owed you that much, at the very least.
Hi can you please do a jealous and possessive debbie where she takes Lou away from the group and has her way with Lou and then the next morning the gang teases them for Lou's moans ?
I see y’all sneaking in these Top!Debbie requests 😂 but yes, here you are! Hope you enjoy!
Lou Miller had been driving Debbie absolutely crazy. In both the best and worst kind of ways. There’d be time to talk about them and where they stood now that the brunette was outside prison walls, but due to the fact that they couldn’t very well choose when the first Monday in May was, they were in a tight schedule and all tasks and conversations had to be steered towards the Met Gala and the heist afoot.
Answering things like who they were now and what they’d been fell to the wayside as the team entered their lives one by one and there were days that Debbie just wanted to shake Lou and ask her for all the answers at once. And there were days she just wanted to pull Lou away by the wrist, take her to one of their rooms, or any room or even against a wall for that matter, and fuck her senseless.
And the way Lou had been acting with the team was driving Debbie red with rage and green with envy, even if below the surface she knew it wasn’t incessant flirting or being sultry on purpose; Lou just had a very flirty, seductive personality. She wasn’t looking for someone to fuck, she was working the world like a mark. At least that’s what Debbie liked to think she knew deep down. What she used to know.
But it didn’t stop her from being jealous. And getting flustered and heated. The way she was so impressed by Nine’s hacking abilities or Rose’s design. Or would run her hand along the newest toy that Tammy had obtained or zirconium piece that Amita had put together. Lou was a constant show of smirks, and her thick accent, and probing eyes.
And it was nothing compared to the way she teased Debbie. Pulling her in to her. Standing too close. Crowding her. Speaking to her practically lip to lip, close enough to kiss. Standing directly behind her, with her hips pushing against Debbie’s ass, practically fucking her from behind, like they used to. She wondered if Lou was seeing this monster she’d become or if it was all in her head. Tammy hadn’t even called her out on it. Yet.
It all came down to a look. One single look. They’d had their words on the beach. And when the storm simmered down to a drizzle, their faces close together, Debbie thought that Lou might tell her she forgave her in a way beyond words. That it may have been that point that started gluing them back together. And she was beyond shocked that she walked back to the loft alone without Lou who asked for some time to think by the water. And even more so that the blonde hadn’t appeared at her door in the middle of the night with a whispered “sorry” or a request to talk more. But she hadn’t gotten up the nerve to get out of bed and knock on the Australian’s door either. Something was still stopping her.
Maybe it was the conversation she pretended not to overhear between Lou and Nine the next day as she checked the blind spot. Maybe it was the time she had to think while Lou was out on her secret job errands that only she knew about. Whatever it was that made her snap, gathered into a bundle and broke as she stood beside Lou for the millionth time during the heist.
Lou and Debbie walked out to the middle of the loft to grab their Met outfits from Tammy. Their heads turned to each other for a beat of a second, eyes locking. And Debbie saw three things: 1) a tattoo she’d never seen before on Lou’s bare arm that somehow she knew she was the one who had landed it there; 2) Lou’s sure fingers coming to rest gently on her hips in a slight dance as she adjusted the bottom of her already perfect vest, gifting Debbie a view of porcelain skin resting between silk and denim; 3) the briefest of looks in Lou’s eyes that flashed for a moment and told Debbie: I may forgive you, but you’re gonna have to come to me.
Debbie’s breath caught as the blonde swung the garment bag up to carry it with both arms, muscles rippling, as she left the room, bound for her office off to the side. Eyebrows raised and whispers started as Debbie threw her gown over the couch and stormed after her. The kimono, golden and flapping behind her, Debbie finally landed in front of the door pleased and not at all surprised to see it still open. Lou was standing there, arms crossed, and let out a smirk.
“Louise!” Debbie pulled from her throat as she entered the doorway.
“Deborah,” Lou exchanged, eyes blazing.
Debbie slammed the door behind her, letting herself in as the team in the background shared whispers of “what the hell” thinking that was the only thing they’d overhear.
“God, I knew this vest would work.”
“Shut up.”
“How long are we going to keep playing this little game, Deb?”
“I’m just getting started, baby,” Debbie whispered, her voice going low. She shoved Lou back against the desk and trailed her finger down Lou’s collarbone and into her cleavage, playing with the opening of the vest. Lou looked at her with pure curiosity and lust, her face turning to complete shock as Debbie popped the vest open, a button bouncing to the floor.
“Well that’s…new,” Lou breathed, both confused and spectacularly turned on.
“Shut up, Lou,” Debbie hissed, popping the button on her jeans open.
Lou looked surprised again, but didn’t comment, choosing instead to slide the best the rest of the way off, Debbie looking up with hazy eyes and surprise at the lack of bra as Lou’s tits met her face.
Debbie’s hands dug into Lou’s naked thighs as she lowered herself, breathing against Lou’s cotton briefs. Debbie smirked at the wet patch already in view.
“Why don’t you let me undress you so I can fuck you, honey?” Lou whispered, lifting Debbie’s chin.
“That’s not how this goes,” Debbie hissed, pulling down Lou’s underwear to her ankles. The brunette leaned forward, grabbing Lou by the neck, her other hand finding and palming one of her breasts until Lou gasped as Debbie pinched her nipple, twisting it hard.
“How does it go?” Lou panted out, as Debbie switched her focus to her other breast.
“You’re gonna come on my tongue and then on my hand,” Debbie explained. “And then we’ll see what happens from there.”
“Did prison make you a top, Jailbird?” Lou chuckled, out of breath.
“Actually it taught me to be in control and take back what’s mine.”
“And what’s that?” Lou breathed.
“You’re mine,” Debbie hissed, thrusting two fingers into Lou suddenly, Lou gasping out.
“I’m yours,” Lou managed, her breath uneven as Debbie moaned at her words, kneeling to the floor and licking along Lou in one long swipe.
Lou hissed at the stretch of Debbie’s fingers that the brunette held still as she worked Lou with her tongue, already feeling the blonde’s hips writhing under her, pushing her pussy up into Debbie’s face, trying to gain control.
Debbie slammed her hands against Lou’s hips, keeping them down as she moved her tongue deeper between Lou’s folds and Lou cried out.
“Come on, baby,” Debbie cooed. “We both know you can be so much louder. I want you screaming for me.”
“Debbie,” Lou groaned as Debbie’s tongue swirled dangerously around her clit before diving even deeper with a swipe.
“Mm?”
“Fuck, Debbie,” Lou cried. “Fuck me, honey. Please.”
Debbie smiled and moaned against Lou’s folds, feeling her partner start to pulse on her tongue.
She blew cold air against her whispering between her heat, “I need you to come hard for me, baby. Right now.”
Lou’s eyes rolled back as she came, surprised as Debbie that all it had taken was a few swipes of Debbie’s tongue and a few less encouraging words until she was shaking against her. Before she could recover, Debbie was crawling along her, swirling her tongue with Lou’s moaning as Lou moaned at the taste of herself. And then Debbie’s fingers were inside Lou once more with a vengeance, pounding into her as Lou’s nails dug into her skin, the blonde screaming without holding back. Cursing unholy things and yelling Debbie’s name as she came twice more on Debbie’s hand, once on the desk and once against the wall, not even caring how many bruises her shoulders and head may have gained in the process.
And then Debbie’s eyes nearly popped out of her head when Lou casually shared that one of her dildos and the harness was in one of her desk drawers if maybe Debbie was interested and even more so, when Lou passed them towards Debbie with glittering, dark eyes and the lick of her lips.
Who knew how long later, the two sat slumped against each other on the small futon in Lou’s office, playing with each other’s fingers.
“If that’s how we solve eight years of tension and misunderstanding, I wonder how hot the sex would be if we got divorced,” Lou muttered.
“We’d have to be married to try that position, baby,” Debbie chuckled.
Lou kissed Debbie’s hand absentmindedly and thought for a moment.
“Should we?” Lou whispered, her eyes nervously meeting Debbie’s own.
“Get a divorce?” Debbie asked blankly.
“Get married, Deb.”
“Does that mean you forgive me?” Debbie breathed.
“Already done, love,” Lou smiled. “I maybe just wanted to see how long it would take to get a rise out of you. Possessive Debbie is like no other.”
“I was so jealous,” Debbie sighed, her head falling into her lap.
“Oh, I know,” Lou chuckled. “But I’m serious.” She gripped Debbie’s hand.
“Maybe I’m already working on it,” Debbie shrugged with a smirk.
“Oh?”
“Did you seriously think I’d arrange a jewel heist that didn’t end in custom jewelry for one Lou Miller?”
“Oh, honey,” Lou rolled her eyes, but she was blushing.
“In due time, my love,” Debbie whispered. “Patience is a virtue.”
“I don’t think anything virtuous is happening between us,” Lou chuckled, smacking Debbie’s thigh. “Tell me we don’t have to go back out there tonight.”
“God, no,” Debbie laughed. “We can deal with the girls tomorrow.”
And boy would they. Poor Lou would be hiding behind her tea, her cheeks growing red as Constance let out laughs of “Dad, I’ve never heard you yell so loud” and Tammy’s smirk of “told you all, Deb tops”. As well as multiple rounds of the girls asking each other to pass the syrup in exchange for a tease of “you want the syrup? Ask me louder baby, I know you can be louder” that made Debbie groan in frustration. But the two would find it well worth it and weren’t all that honestly embarrassed.
“Tell me something, though,” Debbie spoke softly.
“What?” Lou whispered.
“Will you make love to me and then cuddle up with me on this tiny ass couch for the night, Lou?”
“I thought you’d never ask, Deb,” Lou smiled, reaching out to cup her chin softly.
REPLIES TO SPENCER THE WEIRDO
@wannabecatwriter
Why is this so funny to me? He literally went from being angry over her lifestyle to just breaking and entering with her. Dude has some interesting priorities.
@sweetnovember77
What are the common signs of bipolar disorder, including symptoms of both mania and depression? I’m starting to think that Spencer is having some kind of manic episode. He’s a weirdo.
@whyhellosims
What on earth is he up to? Breaking the law on Mia's behalf? There must be some sort of catch!
@dynastiasimss
it sounds like he's setting her up 😬
Spencer is more comfortable flexing his criminal muscle than doing just about anything else. He resented being forced to spend time with Mia as soon as he realised it was she who was Raj’s ‘guest’, (and she also dredged up a lot of unwelcome feelings about Noah), but now he’s finally starting to enjoy himself. Like Mia said in the following post, he’s back in his comfort zone. He’s not biplolar, not setting her up, not tricking her in any way...he’s just enjoying showing off and demonstrating what he arrogantly perceives to be his effortless command over the situation. (And Mia was actually quite impressed, and autonomously clapped when he opened the door!)
@muses-circle
Suddenly feels like Spencer gained the upper hand and is enjoying it. 😬 What's he going to tell Isaac, or Raj, if he does break in?
Lol yes very perceptive- he definitely is enjoying it! As well as having fun, he’s also able to demonstrate to Mia that he’s boss. He could barely wipe the patronising smirk off his face during the whole operation. As to what he’s going to tell Raj or Isaac...compared to some of the things Raj has asked him to do, this is small change, so he’s confident Raj would not have anything to say about it at all. And he’d be confident Isaac wouldn’t dare challenge him either, given his reputation.
@ktarsims
XD Now -this- is territory Spence is familiar with. Mia isn’t familiar with it, but this is probably commonplace to Spence. He also probably enjoys her discomfort, knowing that this is probably well within the bounds of what Raj expects from him.
Yes! Very familiar territory. Like @muses-circle said, he now has the upper-hand, and he’s relishing it. Mia is quite impressed, though, and maybe the scenario can actually be beneficial for their relationship? Especially if Mia can be persuaded that he’s acting purely out of a desire to help her get her things back!
@mysimsloveaffair
Is he trying to makeup for being a jerk earlier? lol
I would like to say yes...but that wouldn’t be entirely truthful. But he wouldn’t argue if Mia wants to see it that way!
@shhhushhh
Didn't Julia aske Nanette the same thing? "Do you want that bag?" 😁
LOL! It’s a recurring theme!😉😂
@dynastiasimss
I don't trust him 😒 what's his endgame 🤔
He has no ulterior motives. He may have many, many faults, but basically what you see is what you get with Spence!
@dreamsascend
Hmm... new budding freindship or perhaps, an understanding? 😆
OMG....that would be sooooo amazing!!!
@shhhushhh
Absolutely amazing use of the ghost finding thingy (am I right?). Now I can't stop wondering was it the in game interaction inspiring the alarm decoder or vice versa? Also the pic with the parrot is so beautiful 😍
Awwww thank you Beautiful Mirena!💖I wanted a scene that showed Spencer being a badass and picking the lock, but as usual I got carried away and decided he had to disarm an alarm as well, lolol! I was going to use a tablet as the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (real ones look like this) but then I remembered the machine that you can unlock in University if you do Science- it’s actually designed to collect DNA and analyze bugs and stuff. I had a lot of fun researching how real USRPs work and I learnt a lot of interesting stuff too- not least that most RL burglar alarms are a complete waste of money.
"Don't ever fucking say I don't do anything for you, okay?" —People do what they want to do.
It’s a throw-away comment that’s supposed to be humorous but a bit snide and sarcastic at the same time. A slight twist on ‘don't say I never give you anything'.
Asshole. 😠🙄
BUSTAFELLOWS Part 1 - Limbo Fitzgerald Route
Hmmm, I like how the MC is voiced, that's quite rare. Teuta is a funky name. Anyway, it seems like she has the power to go back into the past into someone else's body? Seems limited to just a few minutes or hours before the present though, so I guess we'll see how useful this ability will become. Anyway, when the guys were kinda introduced, I honestly thought Helvetica was the font they were using for the game or something and not his name😂😂😂 My bad lol. Shu looks the most interesting to me. Mozu seems like an eccentric head coroner? Limbo just seems dodgy and up himself lol. Teuta and her childhood friends were so cute in their childhood! It's so nice how she trusts them enough to share her powers with them. The things that Limbo says lolll, really can't imagine a real lawyer saying stuff like that, or even the silly judge we saw for his introduction lol, but I'll try and ignore it🥲 His number being 1-800-NO-GUILT is hilarious🤣🤣 Gotta admit that even though Teuta's power is cool, it's very inconvenient considering she goes back in time to a random person's body and she can't decide how long it goes back either... Quite a risky power, and what happens if she dies in the body she's in? Btw I love the backdrop of the city!! It's so cool how it moves!! Lmao at Teuta, I love how the first thing she says when she sees him (after going back into her body) was that she's so glad he didn't die🤣🤣
Ooh, Shu is a bounty hunter! BAHAHA, I love how Teuta's first impression of Shu was that he felt like a creep🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, Helvetica is very...interesting, definitely rude to rate people to their faces but he's weird so what can we do~ Ooh so Limbo and them are all Fixers, working to protect what they think is right with their own methods. Helvetica pretending to be a woman is pretty cool! It's nice to see what all their roles are in an operation. Lmaooo at Teuta being a pro at understanding her landlady, she just keeps saying "that" and refers to "that", it was so funny how Limbo was utterly confused🤣 As usual, the best way for the heroine to bond with the LIs is of course to destroy her place so she's forced to live with them! Lmao, I guess Scarecrow is like our chuunibyou kinda character🤣 He's so silly to try and act like a cool underworld boss🤣 Lmaoo at how Scarecrow has a jar where everyone has to pay a fine if they trash talk him, so everyone starts paying ahead so they can trash talk him all they want🤣 I'm so glad the money they threw away was actually fake because dang, it would be a waste lol, I was like at least donate it to charity! Valerie (Limbo's sister) is funny🤣 I loved how she asked him to take a case and she then imitates his voice and says yes, then just says thank you to herself lmao.
Scarecrow is like a little kid, he's so cute lmao. Anima really likes to spite him even though she's his AI🤣 Mozu being the mum of the team making food for everyone is cute. I'm so glad Luka is watching out for Teuta since she just randomly moved in with a bunch of guys haha. We know they're "safe" but I would really worry as a friend too lol. Like, I know Mozu is indifferent to most things and sees everything from the perspective of autopsies, but omggg when he tried to take a "spare apron" from his workplace back to their home to cook with. It was funny, but I'm just imagining all the diseases, bacteria and everything, especially since Teuta said there was a bloodstain on it!! Omggggg lol. Lmao when Teuta pretended to hold Scarecrow at gunpoint at the bar, so silly but cute🤣 It was very nice of Shu to try and tell Edie the "weight" you carry for killing someone to dissuade him from doing things he's not prepared for. Teuta was really cool too! I love how she told Edie that just as she doesn't understand the people who live in Black Hawk, he also doesn't understand people "like her" who live in "better places", and that's why they should try to understand each other. No one can know everything, but everyone can have the willingness to learn about the things and people they don't know and talk to them to try and understand them. The moment you give up on trying to understand is when you'll stop learning and that won't help anyone.
Even though Scarecrow can be kindaaa cringe at times, it's really sweet how he's trying to watch out for Teuta, and I think it's really cute how he enjoys eating breakfast with everyone in the morning now, since they used to just come for work and then leave, so Scarecrow was always alone. I'm not really surprised that Shu is a "killer killer" since it kinda suits him to kill hitmen. Hehe, I decided to try doing the personality test myself to see what I would get. It's kinda amusing to be called similar to Helvetica haha😅😅 I guess I would have gone on the Helvetica route if I did my own choices? Anyway, with the second test, it's kinda funny but I chose to not pick an option because I would condemn them all regardless since they're all unforgivable in their own rights imo. Understandable but unforgivable. But yeah, it felt kinda awkward when not picking kinda made it seem like you're indecisive, but I feel like there would be people like me who wouldn't pick not because you can't pick but because you refuse to let go of what each one did. I guess if I really had to pick, I'd probably go for the classmates or the parents, which is what you pick for Limbo?
I know Limbo has a good heart and just wants to help Edie, but he's basically "teaching" and influencing Edie into believing he shot Roscoe to protect himself. I don't deny that it's probably the truth even if his intentions initially were to go there to get revenge on Roscoe for killing his father, but the fact is that Limbo is not really asking Edie questions, they're all rhetorical and made to assure Edie that this is what he did and what he thought without giving him the space to think for himself what exactly happened. I think the biggest problem is that since Edie is young and this is a big shock for him considering Roscoe really ended up dying by his hands (assumed), he's just going to think of what Limbo said "as the truth" and want to believe that it's the truth, which is the wrong way to go about it imo. I'm happy Teuta cares about Edie enough to want to go back to the past and change things to stop Edie from having to carry the burden of having killed a person, and I'm glad that even though Shu is still sceptical about the whole thing, he said that if she can change it, then he wants her to do it too. I think it was good of Shu to actually bother making it more difficult for himself to plan the bulletproof vest and toy gun etc to make sure that Edie can actually experience shooting Roscoe and then realise that this is not what he wants, rather than just outright stopping him from shooting Roscoe. This way, Edie can understand what exactly killing the guy involves and give up on revenge and focus on protecting his family and taking care of them.
Tbh, sometimes with Carmen, I can't help but think that I'm not playing an otome game because she feels so...created for a male audience? Lol, if that makes sense. Like her character, her huge boobs and everything just feels out of place in this game tbh😅😅 Anyway, I'm glad Teuta decided to stay with Mozu after he might have been infected with a virus, and I love how the guys also stayed too, they're all so cute. I hope the doctor Teuta had her consciousness go into is all right...especially the patient she needed to do an operation on... I'm sure she must have wasted a lot of time trying to contact Luka in that timeframe.. but maybe this will show Teuta the consequences of her going back in time, something like the doctor losing her job and a patient dying showing that just as Teuta tries to save someone precious to her, someone precious to another person could die because of the things she changed. Anyway, Adam is such a great big brother character for Teuta, he's so sweet and caring. Aww, kinda obvious Hilda was going to die but I felt bad for him since he wanted to help Scarecrow and them. It's pretty funny seeing Luka being like a slave to Valerie carrying her shopping bags and calling her "nee-sama" lmao. I'm glad the doctor's patient didn't die, and I'm glad the doctor didn't lose her job, but I'm not sure if this result is any better. The patient's leg had to be amputated, and the doctor's banned from the operating room, and who knows if her career will get back on track considering this hit on her reputation and reliability as a doctor for making a call during such a time... Honestly, it's an unfortunate situation all around. Teuta can't control whose body she goes into, but I doubt she'll ever stop using her power if someone important to her dies for whatever reason, but this could change the lives of others in a drastic way, so it's sad. I mean, sure, even if she didn't have powers, her decisions can affect the lives of others without her even noticing, but the difference is that Teuta gets another chance to change things at the expense of others. Yeah, maybe it's not always as drastic of a change as this one, but even with the pickpocket prisoner guy from the beginning of the story, I'm sure the police would be more wary of him because he supposedly seemed to know Limbo, said he would reveal whatever and stuff, and honestly, Teuta never went to check back on him so I actually do wonder what happened to him lol. I guess I'm just glad she's understanding a bit better the consequences of using her powers even if she won't really stop using it.
Aww, I love how Limbo convinced her to open the letter with her results about an award together, and then let go in the last second so she would open the letter herself since it's something so important that she should open it herself. He gave her the push and the courage and I think that's great. When Irina asked what Limbo would want for his last meal in this world, I couldn't help but think about what I would choose. Honestly, I would love to have sushi for my last meal, especially toro and stuff, but I think in the end, I am the typical person, I really would just want to eat my mum's cooking, I think I could die happily after eating her tofu or tomato pork chop hahaha. Sad to realise that Irina is a victim of human trafficking and literally slaved away for a famous fashion brand. Lmao when Teuta wanted to go disguising as a model for Fashion Week, I have to admit that my reaction was the same as Limbo and Helvetica. I was like, I like your spirit girl, but you're definitely too short. Helvetica is definitely the best choice, especially since he can change his voice, and he's used to going undercover. As usual, Helvetica as a woman is beautiful, Shu in a suit just looks awkward to me hahahah. Irina admitting that she actually killed her roommate was expected but sad, I feel sorry for the poor girl who finally found freedom, only to be killed by her good friend who was jealous that she was able to escape the hell she couldn't. Anyway, I completely forgot Limbo was supposed to be a "crooked lawyer", and now that it's explained that people call him that mostly because of his pro bono cases dealing with people like Edie just makes me go chehhhh lol. When this game first started, I wanted to see how they would handle a crooked lawyer but really he's just a kind and wholesome guy helping disadvantaged people, and it's nice but I'm disappointed lol. Oh well.
Adam is so sweet! I love how he took the time to congratulate Teuta with a beautiful bouquet of blue roses and made sure to tell her and thank her for saving Luka. She's been so distraught over the consequences of saving Luka that knowing someone appreciated her efforts despite the consequences would be comforting. OMG, dang, I honestly thought Carmen would wear something like Valerie's swimsuit, didn't expect Valerie to be the super wild one lolll. Needless to say, Valerie definitely looks the best, especially the hair and the earring, she is 10/10 hot. Teuta's way too cute for me haha. I agree with Shu's comment, it's a bit childish hahahah. HAHAHA, Valerie bought the swimsuit for Teuta after asking Limbo what kinda swimsuit he thinks looks good🤣🤣🤣 I guess Limbo likes cute girls🙃 I can't wait to see the different swimsuits Teuta will wear depending on which route I'm on! I need to see Shu's tastes like right nowww. I kinda wish we got a CG with Limbo and Teuta in their swimsuits though, we didn't even get eye candy for any of the guys😭
I apologise if Navid is actually an okay person but I honestly doubt it because he seems like an ass. Not only did he rudely take Teuta's phone to put his phone number in, he purposely didn't let Limbo know she'll be there at their meetup for a bit, talked about stuff Limbo doesn't like to bring up and talks about it all like it's fun or something. He's probably a psycho. Anyway, lol, he pisses me off because he makes excuses like he would be uncomfortable meeting up with Limbo and wanted her to break the ice but seriously, no one is forcing him to catch up with Limbo, he's the one who suggested it and pushed it, so nah he's definitely an ass, he definitely likes seeing Limbo suffer. Lmao at Scarecrow thinking of putting the frozen turkey into the dryer because they forgot to thaw it🤣 I thought it was really sweet how Limbo told Teuta to invite Luka and Adam over for Thanksgiving after their work is done since they're Teuta's family. Teuta might not be able to share this happiness with her brother Zola anymore, but she still has Luka and Adam. It was sweet how Limbo wiped Teuta's tears. I really love Valerie. Seeing how pissed off and worried she was for Limbo after he got arrested was kinda scary especially with her VA, but I was impressed!
It was sad to see everyone want to help Limbo but he couldn't express his thoughts and feelings properly because of what happened in his past. I think it was cute how Limbo hugged Teuta considering how emotionally exhausted he must be. Limbo's story was tough.. Anyway, I feel bad for saying this but I think I can empathise with Navid's emotions more right now lol. Well, Teuta is crying for Limbo so I guess I can sympathise with Navid instead, I mean he's a very calm but crazy guy but yeah.. I do feel terrible for Limbo though because they were good friends, but Navid chose to compromise his morals to protect someone important to him and buy the woman and child he wanted to save knowing how "wrong" it was even though he's been fighting with Limbo against these human traffickers for so many years. So I can understand why Limbo felt "betrayed" and I can understand why he wouldn't compromise his morals for it, I just think it was terrible of the woman to suicide (after her child died) and call Limbo to witness it so he can be guilty forever over her death, which is obviously messed up but she's not in the right state of mind so I guess we can be relieved that she didn't decide to try and take Limbo with her. Anyway, I feel like I can better recognise Navid's hatred towards Limbo. Always thought he was a petty guy because yeah it was Limbo's fault he lost his licence to be a lawyer, but he only did the "right thing" so it's unreasonable, but now I can see that losing his right to being a lawyer wasn't why he hates Limbo. He hates Limbo because his actions made him unable to save the woman and child he wanted to save. Considering how long they've been friends and fighting for their causes for, knowing that Navid still chose to risk his career and discard his morals for her just goes to show how important she and the child were to him, and that breaks my heart. It's not right of him to blame Limbo since he should be blaming the human traffickers, but I can see why he would hate Limbo so much, because if he bought her etc, it must have meant this was the only conceivable way at that moment to save her and Limbo jeopardised it because of his sense of "justice" and stuff like rules and laws that disregard human emotions which Navid prioritises. It's just a sad situation all around tbh.
I want to say I appreciate Helvetica and them intervening, but I think it was super silly for them to try and force Navid out of town without properly checking if he was really leaving or not. They better be pretending to fall for Navid's "trap" because it's ridiculous for them to even think that Navid would just let go of all this and leave. Limbo being naive is kinda understandable since he sincerely wants to make up with Navid, but honestly I don't feel like they've really talked honestly about their feelings together, so I don't blame Navid for continuing to hate him, even though he's crazy. But yeah anyway, I expected more from Shu and them. Considering how crazy and murderous Navid has been, I'm surprised it took until Limbo had to "die once" for him to understand that Navid will continue to torture him and the people around him as long as he lives. Honestly, in a sense, Navid probably thinks of it as Limbo's duty to "bring him to justice" so he can stop being tortured by the past too, it was just either Limbo dies first or he gets arrested first. But yeah, with how much Navid's existence endangered the people around him, Limbo should have done something about him ages ago instead of thinking they could "make up" when the guy was constantly making threats towards killing him and the people around him, that's not something you can just brush off and be friends again after. Honestly, I'm surprised Navid didn't do something like blow up that hotel where he met up with Limbo because if I was him, that's what I would have done. Regardless, it's sad to see things end up like this, especially since Navid never properly told Limbo why he did what he did back then, and Limbo never asked him properly until it was basically too late. Anyway, Teuta and Limbo are cute and it is nice to see them live quite peacefully as Valerie chews them out, I love how quickly Teuta sold out Limbo when he said he wanted to put his sister in her place lmao. The bad endings basically answered my questions of "why didn't Navid do that?" lol and even though it was terrible for Teuta and Limbo, I'm glad we had those endings, I love pain🥲 As for the Side B and extras, I thought it was so cute seeing Teuta and Limbo on a fancy date and then going to eat their favourite chicken wings, it was sweet seeing how much they wanted to make the other happy as they awkwardly did things. I love the Luka and Adam support group helping Teuta pick out her outfit haha.
Overall, I can't say I'm impressed with Limbo's route, I knew it was short so I didn't expect much but I think the way they handled the ending was pretty bad. I absolutely thought the nanomachines thing and Helvetica and them intervening without actually properly solving the problem for Limbo and possibly having made it even more difficult for Limbo in the end killed me, because they never followed up on Navid knowing how crazy he was! Yeah, I was so done by then tbh. Otherwise, I actually really enjoyed how much of a nut Navid was because I felt like I actually could understand his situation and his feelings, his strong emotions and how much he really hated Limbo for ruining everything. As I said before, I feel slack but I do feel like in terms of their characters, I liked Navid more than Limbo because Limbo was just kinda bland to me. He was nice, he was kind and he's good support but he's not very interesting for a LI. I honestly hope Shu is better🥲
Ok, so Star Trek Discovery Season 2 episode 1 :
-general impression : I don’t know, maybe the show still needs to fonds it’s own pace. Some things are well done, some things just feel plain gratuitous, or non convincing
-it’s called brother, which I guess is a ref to Spock. It was bound to happen, since the show went on a « the only family on Vulcan that people know is Spock, let’s just use it ». So, very logical, as I believe I might have mentioned before, it was weird that didn’t really mention him in season 1, but it still feels like a cheap way of getting the viewer’s engagement.
-Very nice intro 😉 loved the « space. The final frontier » bit, the theme song is as good as ever. Love the costumes and decors and special effects 🤩 that scene where we finally meet the Enterprise have me chills 🤩
-now, in this ep we meet our new captain, captain Pike. Glad that they decided to expand on his character, actually. The man seems to actually care about his crew, which is a nice break from Lorca. Hoping this doesn’t turn into a dichotomy or manichean thing, however, on their command strategy, since we are seeing many differences between their styles. I guess the bit about a cage at the end was fan service? With any luck we won’t see too much foreshadowing of his future fate, and tough I thought it a nice little Easter egg. The part with the Enterprise « too far away to come back for the war » though… ugh 😑 And what the heck was that with the tour of introductions ? 😅😂 at least we know their names, now, which is better than nothing
-Saru being relegated to XO, well, he does have a lot of growing to do still, both as a character and as a commander. Not too much to say about him this episode, though, which means we’ll get more later
-Michael is still interesting, she does act like the future captain she’s bound to become, not a huge dev except for the part with Spock which I hope will be interesting and well developed. I do love her friendship with Tilly though ♥️
-Tilly, still adorable, happy she’s pursuing her dreams, and we see more of that relationship between her and Stamets (siblings?), love it anyway. Good dev on that part, how she tries to help him in little ways, and he seems to need to talk to her about Hugh. And that « this is the magic of maths! » 😂 I stan an adorkable ensign ! Loved that high five ✋ !
-Stamets, my beloved bean 😭♥️ the way he has to talk about Hugh (and to Tilly because Science Fam), I mean I knew he was going to break my heart 😭 I want Hugh back 😭 and I am asking once again : is there no therapist on that ship?!
-and now let’s start nitpicking because I’m a bitch :
-what the hell is it with Vulcan no longer being a desert planet ?
-what is this house? It looks like generic rich human minimalist house n. 12
-what is it with Sarek and Amanda’s relationship that feels completely off
-angel imagery. in space.
-they haven’t Harry Kim-ed Culber
-was it absolutely necessary to introduce a new science officer just to have him killed 10 minutes later during a completely unnecessary (though very cool) pod race ? And what was the point of that pod race?
-where is nr 1? 😭
Impatient for episode 2, though, intrigued to « discover » more, especially about Spock (hope they haven’t hurt him irreparably) and see more of Stamets (who is my official fav character, obviously) and Pike, because we had so little of him until now (yeah, I know Strange New Worlds is out, it that’s for after the fourth season of ST: DISC). Maybe we’ll also get to meet Nr 1 🤩. Wait and See is my verdict : they’re proposing different plot threads seeming to wipe completely the secondary characters we met in S1. Or I might just be too impatient 😅
#star trek discovery season 2 episode 1#Star Trek discovery#on my first watch people#now we shall see as scourge says#discovering discovery#just my opinion#which may not be yours and that’s ok#what is the official nickname for discovery btw
You wanted to be a part of it, wanted to spearhead the entire thing and watching Mackenzie take the reigns on this one was truly making your blood boil.
I would bloody strangle the girl (no, I'm a wimp, I wouldn't but I'd dream about doing it). Or maybe not the girl but Bucky...
"Why waste the budget on a celebrity when we literally have everything we need to make noise?"
Yes girl!!! Show them how it's done!
"I mean, that's just my two cents. Having worked here for years, I just based it on my experience. You're the expert here, Mackenzie." you offered a proud smile.
hgjrkelgjfghefl I love her
"Well, I guess we'll have to discuss both ideas with my partner Sam and let's see where we will go from there."
Sam, I'm counting on you mate
Fucking Mackenzie and her nicely manicured nails which always seemed find its way around Bucky's arm.
I wonder - does Mackenzie know Bucky using her to make y/n jealous? Did they agree on this? Or is he messing with two of them at once?
"Oh, what's going on?" Mackenzie asked with a nervous chuckle as she looked at you and Bucky, struggling with your coughs.
Oh, wouldn't you like to know weather girl 😂
His gaze was on you when he opened the door to the passenger's seat, his eyes inviting as you approached him. And just as when you were about to slip in, he turned over to Mackenzie and gestured for her to get in.
I am gonna throw hands. I don't know how but I am gonna do it 😡
He seemed perplexed when he saw that you didn't react that much to what he did.
Ooooh, your little plan isn't working? How tragic for you
You weren't sure whether you were just being assuming or what, but you noticed how his eyes lingered on you longer that it did with Mackenzie.
Simply put, he was the complete opposite of Bucky. While Bucky was ice cold, Sam was sunshine and warmth with his attitude.
We love that!!!
"It's not just a brand new car, it's an innovation and the messaging is very important. I'm very impressed." Sam said, his attention geared towards you.
Yes, our girl deserves all the praise! Keep talking Sam, loud and clear so Bucky hears you
It was meant to be a genuine reaction, really. You had no ill intentions for it, you didn't do it to make Bucky jealous or get the upper hand. However, your passion for your career and area of expertise seemed to favor you. It had Bucky on edge, seeing you and Sam get along so well.
I love this. She didn't have to descend to his level of dumbassery but she got the same effect 😂
"Alright, I'm leaving too."
Bye bye 🖐
“Here, let me.”
Oh no
“He seems interested in you.”
You can start a club. Oh, you could have matching t-shirts!!!
“I liked Mackenzie’s idea better, honestly.”
JUST FUCKING SHUT UP I HATE YOU you stupid ass, are your 12? cause you're acting like it. God, I am really filled with rage rn
“It was good.” you agreed, turning to Bucky with a small smile. “I think we can do that for other campaigns. Just not with this partnership. I like her.”
Thank heavens at least one of us is keeping her cool. Don't let him win babe!
“She’s a headstrong woman. She reminds me of myself actually.”
I'm gonna give you the high five!!
“Baby, can you get it for me?”
Someone's slipping 👀👀👀
“Did you,” Bucky cleared his throat. “Did you get it?”
I love watching him suffer :)
“I was thinking of trying out a different one. I honestly didn’t like their dessert.”
Samuel Wilson wants to connect with you.
Okay, I really didn't think I could dislike Bucky even more but hey, I guess we learn something new everyday! I am so bloody proud of her that she doesn't give in, I really hope it's gonna stay that way till the very end. I can't think of how did he manage to become a CEO when he's such a fucking baby. He's so damn petty and not in a cool way. I hope with Sam around, Bucky will understand that a way to someone's heart is not through being an absolute pain in their ass. Or maybe let's just leave Bucky altogether and focus on Sam 👀 #teamreader ✌
The Match - Part 9
Pairing: CEO!Bucky x Fem!Reader
Summary: Bucky brings you and Mackenzie with him to an important meeting.
Word Count: 3.3k
Warnings: Uhhhh hmm work tension, sexual tension, idk Bucky and Mackenzie being annoying as usual lmao
A/N: ALSO I know I haven’t mentioned what the fuck Bucky’s company is all about because c’mon, I didn’t expect I’d get this far lmao so IDK there might be continuity issues or inaccuracies or whatevah, just ignore it lmao it’s fiction. ANYWAAAY, I just want to say how GRATEFUL AND OVERWHELMED I am with the amount of attention that this series is getting. I appreciate every feedback, every ask and every freaking debate about this shit lmfao. I love you guys. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate you all askcnasjkcnak bye
The Match Masterlist || MAIN MASTERLIST
Don’t let Bucky or Mackenzie get to you.
Mark’s advice rang in your ears like a chant as you watched Bucky and Mackenzie’s exchange about the project. Joining them in the conference room for a major brainstorming session was you and a couple of people from your team with Beverly taking down the minutes of the meeting.
The upcoming project was a huge one, given that Barnes Group of Companies was a huge name in the automobile industry. Meanwhile, Wilson Enterprises is one of the biggest autonomous vehicle technology companies out there. This partnership was one for the books, possibly an industry changer too.
You wanted to be a part of it, wanted to spearhead the entire thing and watching Mackenzie take the reigns on this one was truly making your blood boil.
“That sounds like a nice idea, Kenzie.” Bucky praised, nodding his head.
Mackenzie shrugged, “It’s what I do, Buck.” she said.
“Yeah, it’s a great idea. I do have some comments though, if you don’t mind?” you asked.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful ask prompts!
1. What is your favorite tragic backstory?
The one that left a deep impression on me is most likely Hwi and Yeon’s. Like they had to watch their dad commit suicide while knowing that he never committed any criminal act. (I can’t remember much of others except for Seon-ho’s)
2. What is your favorite costuming choice?
I think I saw someone write about Bang-won’s earring? Yeah, that’s definitely one of my favourites. But I think my most favourite is Seon-ho’s clothing in shades of blue, especially the one he wore when he was with the Jurchens.
3. What is your favorite instance of Seon-ho barging uninvited into Bang-won’s house?
The first time he did it when he was going to save Hwi. The fearless swag (I am so confident that look I am carrying a sword from the inspector’s office so get out of my way) when he walked into Bang-won’s house. Loved that nod of greeting he gave Bang-won even though he was there unannounced.
4. What is your favorite Bang-won murder (including murders committed by his men or as a result of his scheming)?
Hmm.. This is tricky. I will have to pass on this heh.
5. If you could resurrect a parent, who would you resurrect?
I actually want to resurrect Seon-ho’s mother, but then... she would just end up being another person Nam Jeon can dangle as a hostage over Seon-ho’s head, so, it’s better to spare him the heartache. Seo Geom it is, then. He could fight to protect himself and his loved ones, and he could maybe knock some sense into both Hwi and Seon-ho, so they could communicate properly.
6. Pick a ship: Seon-ho/Sung-rok or Hwi/Bang-won or Seon-ho/Bang-won?
I am torn between shipping Seon-ho/Sung-rok and Seon-ho/Bang-won platonically *pulls hair* My bias for Seon-ho is laid in plain sight, now 😂
7. Pick a ship: Hwi/Hui-jae or Seon-ho/Yeon or Hui-jae/Bang-won?
Hui-jae/Bang-won, I think? Before Hui-jae took over Ihwaru, I quite like their interactions. I don’t know if I’m thinking too much, but I felt that Bang-won appreciated their conversations - because when she talked to him, she’s always chin up, eyes staring straight at him with a hint of challenge...
8. Pick a ship: Hui-jae/Queen Sindeok or Hui-jae/Hwa-wol?
I like Hwa-wol/Mun-Bok together, so nope to Hui-jae/Hwa-wol. Nope to Hui-jae/Queen Sindeok too :)
9. What is your favorite sword fight?
The one between Bang-gan and Hwi. Gosh, Bang-gan was really good at sword-fighting and he usually did it with a skip in his step and a smirk on his lips.
10. What is your least favorite of Hwi’s life choices?
When he chose to stab Seon-ho really brutally during the First Strife of Princes - is that considered as a life choice? Gah, it was already in Seon-ho’s gut, but then he yanked it all the way further. That scene tears at my heart. But that probably isn’t a life choice, so then maybe when he joined hands with Bang-won during the First Strife of the Princes? I know his goal was to bring down Nam Jeon (he definitely deserved it) but... I just. I mean, Hwi looked miserable when he saw so much death around him and then the poor Crown Prince who was cut down... but what did he expect? Of course it was going to happen. :’( sigh.
11. What is your least favorite of Seon-ho’s life choices?
There are a few, I think. Not telling Hwi that Yeon was alive is one. But least favourite... Going into Bang-won’s house after discovering that he was responsible for Seo Geom’s death. I am not sure (sorry, correct if I’m wrong) what that would accomplish other than getting yourselves killed. I guess he didn’t want Hwi to find out because if Hwi went against Bang-won, he’s definitely gonna die too. But I still wish... they had just left. I mean, Chi-do knew about it too, so Seon-ho could have enlisted his help and persuade Hwi to leave the city first. And when they had got far enough from the city, Seon-ho could tell Hwi about it and Hwi’s friends + Seon-ho could somehow prevent Hwi from returning to the city?
12. Pick an awful father: Nam Jeon or Yi Seung-gye?
Yi Seung-gye. I mean, dammit, was it that difficult to just ACKNOWLEDGE your son’s efforts for you? You made him dirty his hands for you but you couldn’t even say something fatherly... I mean, I get it, he was after the throne, and you wanted to stay in power longer, but don’t say something coldhearted like, “To a father, you were just the fifth born son out of eight.” Seriously?!
13. Pick a setting: Ihwaru or Hwi’s sad shack of scheming?
Hwi’s sad shack of scheming. As much as I love Ihwaru’s setting, I often feel anxious whenever people discuss plans there. Like what if someone overhears you? You’ve no idea if someone’s listening behind the thin doors.
14. What is your favorite time skip?
I am very bad with the timeline in this show lmao. Probably when Hwi came back after Yeon’s death. (I don’t know how many years of time skip that was.)
15. Would you have preferred, canonically, for Hwi and Seon-ho to have survived the ending?
Oh. I’ve read three lovely, lovely fics where Hwi and Seon-ho survived the ending and ended up living in some far away place in the mountains (that’s by @staidwaters), second by @strandedchesspiece and another by augusteofarles on Ao3. :) So, if they survived it in one of these three ways, then yes.
16. Are there any songs you associate with the show, other than the soundtrack?
They have to be 苏运莹《时候》because of that video on Bang-won on YouTube :))) and Dynasty by MIIA.
17. How did you end up watching the show in the first place?
Um, I watched Eternal Monarch and fell in love with WDH’s characters. Then as I was scrolling through Netflix, MCTNA popped up. (I think I typed “Do Hwan” in the search bar.) Read the summary - decided to “let’s give it a go” and the rest is history. So glad I decided to watch it.
Pick a ship: Seon-ho/Sung-rok or Hwi/Bang-won or Seon-ho/Bang-won?
Ah, I suppose you’re right, we don’t know the entire story. But then again, in any fictional work when we’re given such limited scenes from the past, then conjecture is pretty much expected from us. Every flashback or memory in the books is supposed to kinda cover the entire dynamics of certain characters (basically that James and Sirius actively bullied Severus, Remus disapproved a bit but didn’t intervene, and Peter cheered them on, Severus fought back to defend himself when he could, Lily was disgusted by James 90% of the time because of his arrogance and bullying behaviour, James constantly approached Lily to ask her out even when she kept saying no, etc. btw I haven’t put in Severus and Lily’s dynamics since they’re way too complicated). So I think assumptions and conjecture are kinda the point. Plus the memories seem much more valid than Sirius and Remus’ word, considering Pensieve memories and Occlumency is supposed to show unbiased, objective memories (unless there was tampering involved, which there wasn’t in Severus’ case). So I’ll still always believe that James was one of those creepy guys who don’t take no for an answer and just keep asking out and approaching girls even when they’re not interested. I just don’t like the premise that was set up for them, since James even said he’d stop the bullying if Lily went on a date with him (during SWM), which is basically blackmail.
Not to mention that, if we go off of just the book’s canon, James never did change. I mean yeah, maybe he became somewhat mature (in the sense that he didn’t act childishly again) and treated Lily nicely, but he was still a bully throughout his time at Hogwarts, and he died at 21. So I guess truthfully I just don’t think he ever actually changed. At least, not in a way that mattered to his growth as a good human being. Plus yeah, the dishonesty really bugs me, if he really loved Lily all that much then he would’ve stopped bullying Severus for her. It’s not like he gained anything out of it anyway, other than a power trip I guess. Even if James had changed, getting the girl he’s been after for so long as a reward for just being an actual decent person seems like a bad message, you know? Lily deserves better, imho. Plus the way we know Lily she wouldn’t have gone for James even if he had changed. Maybe accepted him as a friend (maybe), but she wouldn’t date the guy who used to torment her ex-best friend and others. Lily was mad at Severus, sure, but she still knew that Severus didn’t deserve any of the torment Potter and the others put him through. She wouldn’t date someone who just a few months ago did such horrible things. Lily can definitely hold a grudge, from what we’ve seen, so I doubt she’d just date (and marry!) James Potter after all that. So yeah, and since all this info is only coming from James’ victim-blaming best friends, we can’t really trust a word of what they say! And I completely agree, it does sound like a bad fanfic! I’ve always hated the popular, asshole jock/beautiful girl who hates him trope. Cuz the guy always gets the girl in the end despite everything he’s done, and it’s just a very bland, cliche trope. And honestly? I don’t like the idea of a person only becoming less of an asshole to impress the person they like. That’s not actual change, it’s just putting on a front to get a girl. Poor Harry, honestly, he deserves better than that shitshow of a parenting unit😅 There were a lot of ways to write Jily in a realistic, healthy, interesting way, possibly by redeeming James’ character or just not making him a bully I suppose....idk why JK chose this particular way, but oh well, that was years ago. At least fics exist (Snames fics in particular)😂
Reasons Why I (And A Lot Of Other People) Ship Snames
(Note: If anyone who disapproves of this ship finds it, I put in all the appropriate tags, so please blacklist them if you don’t want to see Snames content. Also, be warned, there will be some James bashing in this, but not too much.)
#sorry for the rant#I just have a lot of feelings about this particular ship#jily just rubs me the wrong way#plus I’ve known guys like james#they honestly shouldn’t be allowed around girls#I know I personally would never date a bully#especially if he used to torment my best friend#no matter how much he changed#cuz no one has any obligation to reward bullies just fir becoming decent human beings#sorry I really need to start typing less yeesh#anti jily
