the fact shattered glass is such a big thing in Transformers Animated despite not appearing in any of what actually aired is really interesting to me. i unfortunately kind of dont think there's much appeal to an Animated revival without Derick J Wyatt but they do have a real trove of stuff he worked on outside the show so I guess it could work

I already touched on some of this before but i wanna have my stuff in one place so. What if Transformers Animated but Shattered Glass?

TFA has so many moments where the decepticons are being deceptive and manipulative, but I really wanted to see a world where it wasn't an act (🥺), and the Decepticons were fighting for their freedom against the autobot regime without the whole. War crimes thing.

Soundwave gets to be a big brother for Sari, bc Megatron is actually a sweet guy and helping Sumdac with his daughter's birthday is a good distraction from Megatron's grief over his own lost sparkling :') just wait until he finds out

The space bridge crew plus Prowl the draft dodger are technically civilians, and hanging out on Earth is a good opportunity for them to finally be out from under the thumb of the government and actually start to think for themselves. They've got a long traitor arc coming for them.

Shattered Glass Sari is kinda sad when you think about her a bit. A girl who was experimented on all her life by her cruel father, grew up trapped in a cage, forced to wear a collar that gives her father control over her, with the only semblance of solace she gets being from maybe one or two of the evil alien robots that will likely dispose of her the first chance they get?

Pretty messed up.

But what if she somehow broke the collar that keeps her under her father's control? What if she could finally be freed and be allowed to take her revenge on her father and the rest of the world, free to fight evil Autobot and heroic Decepticon alike?

I'd like to think she'd be one hell of a show-stopper.

since in tf prime dark enegron is unicrons blood and its meant to like be dangours and turns people in zombies

so what would that mean for a shatterd glass unicron?? would it call "light enegron"???

I assumed it's still called dark energon, it just has more positive / healing properties maybe? (Though you still can't fuel only on it like you can energon) maybe instead of a zombie situation it acts more like tfa Sari's key, helping bring mecha back from the brink of the dead rather than zombie time

For some reason I imagine SG dark energon as being green rather than purple

Sari still meets the autobots, and they still try to save the town, but they do so for slightly different reasons. When Teletraan brings them back online because of the intruder alert, their initial reaction is to find out what's attacking the ship and how to defend it. 101 still goes for the earth alt modes to blend in, as the team is untrained and weak and wouldn't be able to survive a hostile encounter with the native population.

They're surprised by the fact that the dominant species is organic, 101 most of all because of his trauma around the Archa 7 incident. Prowl and Bulkhead are the most open-minded of the crew, Prowl being fascinated by the life on the planet and Bulkhead just not giving a slag about anti-organic propaganda.

Prowl, Mr. draft dodger nature loving lone wolf decepticon sympathizer (allegedly), goes a bit farther than just protecting the ship and gets himself in a pickle, and the rest of the team have to fish him out. They end up saving the city in the process. They totally meant to do that... yeah.

The good will they accidentally fostered with the humans turns out to be a good thing, though, as their ship needs a lot of repairs and they're going to need time and resources, both of which they won't have if they start a war on a planet the autobot high command has never heard of and will never care about.

Sari doesn't manage to sneak into the ship because Bee isn't having any of that. But she feels an inexplicable calling that she writes off as being fascinated by the autobots. She grabs some diving gear from the time she wanted to get into underwater exploration (Sumdac had a fit about the dangers, but relented on the condition that she study all the research he compiled on dive safety among other safety measures) and she goes into the lake to find the autobot ship.

She finds it quickly thanks to some nudging from the allspark, and she enters the ship through the same breach that the piece of the mutant cockroach fragment entered. Unfortunately, this immediately triggers the intruder alarms, and she's scrambling into the vents immediately on finding a way out of the water pocket she entered from.

The allspark guides her to its place in the cargo bay, narrowly avoiding the autobots who are searching for the intruder. And when she's face to face with the allspark, it begins to speak to her, only in feelings and ideas and information directly inserted into her memories. She sees Cybertron, the Magnus, the millenia of corrupt government rule and the beginning of a rebellion. She sees a leader rise and fight for freedom and life, and she sees the repair bots fight tooth and nail to keep the allspark from those who would use it to restore cybertronians.

But she also sees the crew of this ship, autobots in name only, cast aside and abused by the system that dictates they obey while discarding them as worthless. She sees the fear of what the Magnus would do to them if they failed. And most of all, she sees the hope that the children of the allspark are not yet lost. As the allspark gives her a key with a piece of its own energy, it leaves her with one last thought: Save them.

The autobots find Sari in the medbay, weapons drawn on the creature that infiltrated their ship, until Prowl raises his servo for them to stop. Somehow, this organic healed him, and he doesn't take a debt like that lightly.
