The Pocket Shark is a species of kitefin shark Both species are distinguished from other sharks by two pockets next to the front fins. The pockets are large, measuring about 4% of the shark's body length. Some researchers hypothesize that the pockets may excrete some kind of glowing fluid or pheromones.

Angular Roughsharks are found throughout the eastern Atlantic Ocean, ranging from Norway to South Africa throughout the Mediterranean Sea. The depth at which they are found ranges from 160 to 2,170 ft, but they mostly stay below 330 ft.

Olive’s wet beast fact: You’re probably thinking that these worm-on-a-string lookin ass creatures look like straightened seahorses. That’s bc they are part of the Syngnathidae family with Seahorses and Sea Dragons. Funky!

About a year and a half ago I had this dream where scientists decided to genetically modify dolphins to have arms and legs. They likely hoped to be able to better understand dolphins or teach them sign language. The dolphins looked like this, they were rather small in stature and they just... stood or sat around. They made no noises and only reacted to things without making any effort to do anything themselves. I remember feeling horrified and sad in the dream and the feeling persisted even after waking up.
