Pseudo Sue Pale Ale from Toppling Goliath Brewing out of Iowa. Very impressed by the beers from Toppling Goliath. Plus, the Field Museum in Chicago has long been one of my favorite places to visit. In fact, I was just there this past summer with my family, and we had lunch in a museum cafe next to the display of Sue, the T. Rex. I've been wanting to drink this for a long, long time. I mean, I even like the label design, with the dark green and red, and white lettering. On any other night, this would have been the beer of the evening. And it was good, but maybe I'd built my expectations up a bit too high. Last Buffalo in the Park by Funky Buddha, out of Florida. Simply put, this was delicious. As someone commented, it tasted almost like a liquid Almond Joy. Speedway Stout from AleSmith, out of San Diego. You can never go wrong with an Imperial Stout made with Vietnamese coffee and aged in bourbon barrels.
