Just read Lilly Jay’s divorce essay and wow, even though the circumstances are wildly different, the loosely similar theme to TTPD of speaking your saddest story to reclaim your personhood (in the public eye) and share your truth with others to help heal are quite striking to me.
The “sponge works best when it’s wet” metaphor seems pretty apt too.
#like in her case the fact of going public literally jeopardizes her career because it relies on clinical anonymity#but the tradeoff of being seen as human and of knowing she’s been through these things too#may help others find comfort in her work and in sharing their own experiences#feels extremely appropriate here#also the whole moving to a foreign country for your partner only for the#them to abandon you but 🥴#and also the part about grieving the life you’d dreamed of of your future family#and also how sometimes the parts you love the most about your partner are the parts of yourself you’ve projected onto them#and that you can take that with you after it’s over because that’s you

So, if in the finale c!Dream’s helmet, that he takes off for c!Tommy, represents his mask, does that mean that when c!Sapnap puts on c!Dream’s armor, Nightmare, he is putting on and stealing c!Dream’s mask? - Because I’m not gonna lie that really puts a new perspective on that betrayal… Furthermore, when c!Techno brings c!Dream armor in prison, did he make him a mask and bring it to him… and then take away the mask later? - If so, again that’s kinda screwed up. Though you could argue that perhaps he made c!Dream a mask for the jailbreak so he had one to face the server with and then because they were trying to not seem like allies he took it back, knowing that c!Dream would get another one. Which also begs the question, did c!Punz make c!Dream a mask for after prison or is he simply handing over one of c!Dream’s masks?… When c!Tommy in the minecart skirmish stole c!Dream’s armor, was he taunting him with his own mask? - Because oof that’s some serious violation and disrespect…
In other words, if you think that c!Dream’s helmet in the finale represents the mask (which I’d say is implied by c!Tommy) does that same logic apply across the board or is it just for that moment? And if it does apply to rest of the lore, wow does that have some implications…

and yes. yes I am bitter that I don’t get to go to my friend’s wedding. yes I am bitter than she’s whooshing off to Colombia to get married when her whole life is here, everyone who knows and loves her and her fiancé is here, and so many people in her circle have neither the money nor the circumstances to fly to another country to support them on their wedding day.
#I know it’s her wedding and she doesn’t owe anyone anything technically#but also the point of a wedding is to share your joy with your loved ones#if you’re not even doing that then you may as well just register the marriage and go on with your life#and yes I’m just making myself angry by ranting about it again when it’s not even supposed to be a big deal#but it IS a disappointment. it’s another in what feels like a long list of disappointments this year#and I tried so hard to be brave about it and act like I didn’t care in front of my friends who do get to go#but I’m literally completely devastated and I’ve cried about it so much already and I’m probably not done either#I love her okay and I’ve known her most of my life#I’m closer to her than I am to my cousin who got married this summer#and it was always my dream to go to my friends’ weddings as they started getting married#and she’s already the second person to do so in a way that means I don’t get to attend#and it sucks so bad#elly's posts

This quest is so creepy and for WHAT
This is a two second overworld quest! Run into a random NPC who asks you to go see about the missing guard literally one building over! Standard open world stuff! Easy peasy!
Oh, and also just go ahead and say hi to the random eldritch shadow being while you're at it. NO BIG DEAL??? (I missed capturing the first two text boxes where you casually notice a 'massive looming shadow' over the beach demanding your 'attention and submission' and this doesn't concern you at all. You get your memories back but you can't actually remember what you're remembering as you remember it. Just that of course you know these shadows. You remember how they'd dance at your command.)

And then you fight some super easy mobs and the quest just ends. There's no turn-in - the quest giver won't even talk to you. It's like it never happened in the first place.

I picked '...I should wake up.' because I thought it was a better wham line if this were a book or movie or something but the implications of the second one are ruining me. i was on zillow today, fantasizing about being able to live somewhere, when i came across the listing for my childhood home. it wasn't active/being sold, but it was on there with some pics of the interior. and my GOD. THEY MADE HER UGLY. THEY TOOK HER RUSTIC PUSSY OUT. WHAT THE FUCK
