Hiya!! I’m looking for an angsty roleplay with somewhat similar vibes to Shameless, a romance where two men (mxm please, my character is gay!) fine eachother amidst their shithole town, and figure things out together. Think american trailer trash..

I’m literate, and am returning to roleplaying after a year off focusing on university, but I’ve been roleplaying for 11 years! I’m also an adult, so I would want all of my partners to be 18+ as a minimum:)

I don’t write smut necessarily, but that’s because I find it takes too long and I love focusing on slow-burn plots with lots of angst and romance, so I’m fine with including smut and writing the lead-up to it, but I’d rather skip over the full thing

I really want to explore a lot of the darker themes surrounding such an environment, like addiction, homophobia, abuse, mental health, etc, so I really have no triggers, unless you’re just bringing assault up constantly with no real reason too, but that’s not a trigger, that’s just weird :,)

How did you find out you were gay? I'm struggling with that. My parents can never know

For once, I can say you're talking to the right guy. My father was a homophobic nazi prick, who got a hooker to rape me when he found out I was with Ian, and tried to kill me when I came out. So yeah, I get the feeling "my parents can never know" I don't know if there was a moment where I "found out", but I remember being like.. 10 or 11 years old, staring at my classmate's dick in the shower and getting hard. I wanted to touch it, to taste it ... I just loved his body so much.. Then I grew up, also feeling horny for girls. I'd bang them from time to time, until Ian came up. And Ian was... a big bang. I fell in love so hard that I couldn't see anything or anyone else So, reading my story you'd say I was gay, then I was straight or bi, then gay again... see the problem with labels? Maybe you tell your parents you're gay and next thing you know, you're in love with the opposite sex again. Or maybe not. But the point is: Do you really have to tell them right now? Say you take this weight off of your shoulder for now, and just love freely until the moment you need to introduce this person to them, because this person is the love of your life.. you know what will happen? You'll be able to do it. You know why? Because love, real love, when it swallows you whole, you'll do whatever So for now, don't torture yourself or refrain from feeling, experiencing, trying.. just go with it, see what is like, find out what you like, play around, live your life (not your parent's life) and before you know it, love will be right there waiting to hit you like a million bricks
