40. favourite memory!!!

I have a couple different answers

When my best friend back in high school first got on testosterone. His prescription was ready to pick up but his mom wouldn't get off work until after the pharmacy closed. So he called me and asked if my mom would pick it up cause all he needed was someone over 18 with ID. She did and we got the testosterone and immediately drove to his mom's work where she was able to take a break and go do his first shot for him. He did it in the center of the MCR stick and poke he'd gotten from his partner at the time in the back of his car when we'd all parked down town on monument circle. I still have the video of it and it makes me cry every time I watch it. I miss him a lot. It'll be 5 years since he passed this December

When I first came out as a trans woman. I had long since been out as bi and as an uncertain queer when I just made friends with my now best friend. I and a bunch if other people had all gone back to their place. During it all they decided they wanted to dress me up and do my makeup. I'd done over the top drag looks but it was the first time I'd just been put in a simple pretty dress with some nice light makeup. I went in to the bathroom to look at myself and nearly broke down crying. I came out shaking and nervous and said I loved it and I think I want to try she/her pronouns. I still have the pics from that night.

Last one. There was a weekly ritual at the queer youth group I went to as a teen. Every Friday we'd play the song let's have a Kiki by the scissor sisters and would do a big dance in a circle. The older people taught the newer people how to do it and we really encouraged everyone to join in. I had learned it from the older kids when I first started going but within a few years those kids were gone and I was the one teaching all the new kids and coaxing them out of their shells. In that time we'd also added me doing essentially a solo performance of sweet transvestite (I know lol but I was really into rocky horror at the time) that the other kids would do the shouting parts for followed by the Kiki. Eventually I tried to stop doing it just cause I didn't wanna make it all about me but without fail every Friday a bunch of the kids would come find me and beg for me to do it and to lead the kiki dance. It really made me feel loved and happy that all those kids thought of me as so integral to this little queer ritual we had to get everyone to stop being so nervous and come have fun. The org had grown a lot in that time so suddenly this dance that I'd learned when the circle was no more than 10 people in a musty half basement was soon 40 to 50 kids in a big ass lobby. I hope the few from back then who still follow me on here remember those Friday nights as fondly as I do. They meant the world to me

Him and Jared actually used to be friends back when they were like middle schoolers. But then Jared got "hot and cool" and he kinda drifted away from Simp. Mostly cause Simp was SO FUCKING JEALOUS!!!!! and it was obvious too. Imagine how devastated he was when egirl started dating his old friend lmaooo what a loser

Him and e-girl started dating when they were 17, both of them were in pretty bad places in their lives so they just,,, clung onto each other. Both of them were codependent but Simp was significantly worse with his codependency. Adrianne (my name for e-girl) was the one who broke it off when they were both in their early 20s

His stupid little cat beanie is his comfort item !!!! He wears it ALL THE TIME and hates having to take it off, although he would never go out in public with it. He's got some issues with presenting the way he wants to in public so he literally just goes out in his work uniform regardless if he's working or not

He's bi but heavily in denial like DEEP DEEP in denial

He HATES being tall !!! He wishes he was shorter because his height makes him stand out a lot and that's the LAST thing he wants

He prays literally every night before bed. Mostly asking for forgiveness (which he shouldnt have to ask for) because he thinks he's a horrible person just for being himself

He CLINGS onto Charlie, they're not like super close friends or anything but he LOVES Charlie. He looks up to Charlie a lot and WISHES he had his confidence and sense of self :')

He doesn't like Tommy, he thinks Tommy's too loud and disrespectful and hates how much attention he attracts. So he tends to just avoid him even if they're in the same classes

He absolutely regrets smoking with Bill and Ranboo but he also feels INCREDIBLY GUILTY for wanting to do it again (because he actually had fun and was able to relax for a moment)

He LOVES emo rock, indie, modern rock and other similar genres. His parents are really strict so he has to listen to his music in secret and ALWAYS has his earbuds on him, its a comfort item too. His three favorite bands are MCR, Ghost and Radiohead :]

The only game he was ever allowed to play was and still is Minecraft. He LOVES Minecraft but at the same time he desperately wishes to be able to play other games

He fucking LOVES GOING TO PUBLIC SCHOOL !!!!! he used to be in a Christian school but it gave him so much anxiety he was physically ill every single day and he just couldn't take it anymore!!!! To his surprise his parents actually agreed to let him go to public school during his sophomore year and he's been there ever since (now hes a senior)

Charlie is really his only friend, he's tried talking to other kids but he's horribly awkward and socially inept. Charlie basically adopted him and takes care of him like a brother !!!! Even if they're not super close Charlie's always looking out for him and tries to include him with his friends even tho Stu declines most the time :((

HIS WIFE LEFT HIM AND TOOK THE KIDS TOO 😭😭😭 he's still trying to find her but he's slowly losing hope and he's really considering just giving up

He's basically the "king" of the end, even though he's not actually the ruler, it was his wife. But since she's GONE he basically had to take her place, until he finds a new wife or convinces her to come back if he ever found her (the end is a matriarchy)

He's kind of insufferable why do you think his wife left him

He has two kids, Lune (pronounced like loon) and Sunny. He LOVES his kids and is actually a really great dad despite being kind of an ass and fucking annoying. He misses them a lot and it breaks his heart that he might not be able to see them ever again

Dr. Malpractice

He's a geneticist specifically experimenting with mob/human hybrids.

His experiments are NOT ETHICAL AT ALL!!! He does whatever tf he wants whenever he wants. His only healthy, surviving test subjects are Phil (enderman), Tommy (spider), Charlie (creeper) and Quackity (duck). (He also experiments on my sona,, that I added for funsies,, but they weren't created by him he just happened to find them one day more on that later)

He's actually trying to make humans more powerful in a way, because they're the weakest humanoid species of them all. He wants to "save" humanity from their own biological inferiority and doesn't care how long it takes or how much damage he causes to others so long as he reaches his goal. Because he's fucking delusional and thinks he's doing something good

He even experimented on his kid, Fundy, and he didn't make it. He has a,,, complicated relationship with what happened to Fundy. On one hand the guilt eats away at him constantly, on the other he brushes it off as just another failed experiment since in the long run,, the ends justify the means in his mind

So far his deceased test subjects include Fundy, Niki, George, and Toby (Tubbo). His only escaped subject was Randy (Ranboo) and he's so fucking paranoid that somehow he'd be able to get the authorities to stop his experiments. But it's been months since Ran escaped and nothing's happened so he isn't AS paranoid anymore, but he still worries about it

He names all the test subjects himself, it's easier for him to remember than numbers because he has dyscalculia funnily enough

All the test subjects were made in his lab with stolen DNA so he didn't have to use his own. He basically grew them in tubes and used a rapid growth serum in the tanks to make everyone adult sized since it was easier to run tests that way. He accidentally left Phil cookin for too long so he's the oldest out of everyone LMAO (except for Dr mal himself, he's 37)

Ok so onto the cringe part !!!! cSoda is a shapeshifter, shapeshifters are VERY rare and often hide themselves because they're very sought after to hunt for sport or used for various reasons. They're basically "born" from the planet itself, they grow in pockets underground for many years and kinda just pop up when they're ready. (Think of like. Steven Universe gems but organic) cSoda is erm undercooked let's say LMAO because they popped up early in their development they're basically defective. They age (albeit slowly), their body scars, they can't regrow limbs properly, their shapeshifting is limited to only animals/people they've SEEN before and they are incredibly naive and have a harder time understanding/learning about the world.

Dr. Mal found cSoda (no idea how yet) and he normally wouldn't have cared but he saw their shapeshifting and immediately decided to "take them in". He takes advantage of their naivety and basically brainwashed them into thinking he cares for them. cSoda presents as a dog (more lore I don't feel like getting into rn) so they have the personality traits of one as well, very loyal and loving and INCREDIBLY affectionate. Which Dr Mal HATES.

If it weren't for the fact that cSoda is more useful to him while alive he probably would've just killed them because he's CONSTANTLY annoyed and irritated by them LMAO he wants to be able to replicate their shapeshifting and hopes that it might be able to help him achieve his goal

He fucking LOVES working the burger van with Ranboo, it gives him something to do and he actually enjoys spending time with them even after initially not really liking them. He thinks Ranboo is SO interesting and loves to analyze everything he says and does pFF

HE FUCKING. APOLOGIZED TO TOMMY!!!!! FOR EVERYTHING !!! HE WANTS TO DO AND BE BETTER FOR HIM AND HAVE A BETTER RELATIONSHIP!!!! HE LOVES HIS BROTHER SO MUCH AND IS TRYING TO BE BETTER AT SHOWING THAT RAAHH

He fucking REEKS no matter how much he showers or uses deodorant. It'll help with the intensity of the smell but he just reeks of death bc he was rotting !!!! he also smells like cigarettes and alcohol which does mask the rot and is actually preferable by most people (especially Quackity, who's VERY vocal about how much Wilbur stinks)

Tinybur

He's REALLY clingy, like he NEEDS someone to be holding him at all times. Normally it's Tommy (who's so obviously his favorite even tho he denies it)

It doesn't remember being human for the most part but he does miss it, especially being a normal height

He HATES when people baby him, he's a grown man who just happens to be child sized. If you talk down to him he WILL be an asshole

It was surprised when people started referring to him as an "it" but he kinda liked it !! It doesn't have the same feelings about its gender since becoming a doll and he thinks it's kinda weird but cool at the same time. It really is just vibin

It's voice is high pitched and he kinda hates it, its gotten used to it but it doesnt really like how its voice changed

Animatronic!Wilbur

He's so fucking annoying and is always flirting with parents for whatever reason. He fucking LOVES if they get flustered too it boosts his ego

He's SOO jealous of Ranboo its kind of embarrassing. He thinks he should be the lead singer and mascot but doesn't vocalize it, although he does make it painfully obvious

He's the lead guitarist and back up vocalist in the band (Tommy plays keytar, Ranboo is lead singer and James is the bassist)

He's actually really fucking insecure despite being a fan favorite. One time someone left their phone and it didn't have a password so he was able to use the internet which was. A mistake. He's seen the horrors of the Beloved Ent. Fandom and he thinks people only like him because he was made to be the "attractive one" and not because he actually has anything of substance.

He fucking HATES Schlatt with a passion, so he avoids the bowling alley entirely now. Jimmy (solidarity) used to be the bowling mascot but he was too fragile and a push over with guests so they replaced him with Schlatt. Who's nice enough to guests but does have a bit of a temper and doesn't take ANYONES bullshit. Wilbur was actually really close with Jimmy and he misses him terribly :(

Tagged for Fuck It Friday by @zahlibeth so I'm gonna lean into the spirit of the thing and post snippets from a few things I'm trying to motivate myself to keep working on.

First up there's my first foray into HellCheer, which can best be summed up as "I'm normally not a fan of cheating, but if Chrissy and Eddie were sneaking around behind Jason's back it'd be pretty hot, right?"

"Just don't be late for practice," Debbie says. "You know we're running the pyramid today." "I know!" Chrissy replies, already moving the other direction. "I'll just be a minute!" She hurries back down the hallway, glancing over her shoulder to make sure her friends have moved on, and then ducks quickly into the auditorium.  It's quiet and dimly lit. There's a certain strangeness to walking into an empty theater, the stage dark, each sound seeming amplified in the quiet of so large a space. Chrissy walks quickly down the side aisle and up onto the stage. Even in tennis shoes, her feet still echo dully on the wooden steps. Backstage, she navigates her way to the prop room and looks around. "Well, well, well," comes a voice right behind her shoulder, making her hop and squeak. "What could possibly bring the likes of Chrissy Cunningham, head cheerleader, all the way down to my domain?" She relaxes and smiles. "Hi, Eddie," she says sweetly. "She knows my name!" Eddie says with faux surprise as his hands slide around her waist with practiced familiarity. "Oh, I feel special. You noticed me from all the way up in your princess tower, huh?" She giggles softly at the familiar bit and leans back into him. "If I'm a princess," she says as she bares her neck to him, "does that make you my knight in shining armor?" Eddie hums in disagreement, his lips and jaw vibrating against her throat. "No, that doesn't sound like me at all. I'm no shiny hero, I'm the big, scary dragon. Stealing you away from home and hoarding you for myself."

Then I return to, ahem, Steddie ground with the touring bands AU that infected me when MCR and hard core logo crossed my dash at the same time. Robin and Steve have whatever the corollary of "stage gay" is for a lesbian and her emotional support himbo. And Eddie gets confused about it:

And then there's the bass player. Eddie can't get a good look at his face, not with the way he's bowing his head as he gives his entire focus to the four strings beneath his fingers. His head nods along to the beat, and against all odds makes his unkempt, greasy hair look unfairly attractive even as droplets of sweat visibly go flying with each shake of his head. His plain white shirt has the sleeves cut off, along with a good portion of the shirt's sides, and his jeans are tight enough to show off his ass and thighs.

He doesn't stay in any one place for long, roaming the stage aimlessly as he plays and checking in with his bandmates when he draws near. Dustin grins at him as he steps up onto the drum platform and tries to shout something over the music, Erica hip-checks him out of her space and sends him spinning away. She shakes her head like she's annoyed by the intrusion, but she watches him go with a not quite successfully suppressed smile. There's a playful fondness to the interactions, a sibling-like camaraderie.

That's not remotely what it feels like when the bassist reaches the singer. There's an intensity in how he approaches her, an almost magnetic draw. When he reaches her he doesn't check in like he did with Dustin and Erica. Instead, he presses the crown of his head between her shoulder blades until she takes a stumbling step forward. She leans back against him, letting his head support her as she continues to sing. She smiles fondly around the lyrics and reaches a hand back to scritch at the back of his head like he's a beloved pet begging for attention. His hair falls to cover most of his face, but Eddie can make out his mouth, which hangs open loosely while he breathes heavily through red lips shining with spit and sweat.

In a practiced move, she lifts her arm and he ducks under just in time for a harmony, their heads pressed close together and their mouths barely avoiding each other as they sing into the same mic. The singer keeps an arm looped around his neck, her hand pressing possessively to the top of his sternum as he slouches against her to match her height, and holds him close even as she returns to singing alone, and he melts into her without ever once stumbling in his rhythm. 

Eddie's seen stage chemistry before, but this is something else. It's like they have their own gravity centered on one another. Absurdly, Eddie feels the faintest coil of jealousy as he watches them. He beats the feeling back, because immediately developing a crush on a straight guy (who is obviously madly in love with his singer) before he's even seen his face is too much even for Eddie. And honestly, it's not really even him Eddie feels jealousy over, it's that connection. He loves his bandmates, but he's very much the leader of the group. He craves the kind of partnership these two have.

The singer pulls her bassist close and smacks a big kiss to his temple before shoving him away toward his own corner of the stage, but their eyes stay locked as he retreats and she continues to sing. They look like they're having a silent conversation, even as they continue to play and sing.

The song ends, and before the last note has faded Erica playfully whines into her own mic, "Ewwww! Robin kissed a boy!"

And I can't forget my favorite firefighting blorbos and the Practical Magic Buddie AU. Sorry, there's no actual Buddie in this snippet. Just Eddie and his abuela.

Isabel tuts and reaches for his hand. “Mijito, I have watched you grow from the day you were born. I know you better than you know yourself. And I have hated watching you hide from the world, shutting yourself off from the very things that make life worth living out of fear. I thought, when I saw you together at your wedding, that if you weren’t going to let yourself marry someone you loved I could at least help you love the person you married.” Eddie shakes his head. A renewed wave of grief lodges in his throat and stings at his eyes. “You shouldn’t have - if I never loved her, she would still be here. Christopher would still have his mother, I would still have my partner. Why would you cast that spell knowing that she would die?” Regret washes over Isabel’s features. “I never thought the curse would take her,” she tells Eddie softly, “because it wasn’t real.” Her words hit him like a sucker punch.  “But it was,” he protests, his voice cracking. “It was real for me - for us. It was messy and difficult, and we fought way too much, but,” he pauses for a moment, tears streaming down his cheeks as he tries to swallow back the tightness gripping his throat, “I really did love her, Abuelita. I loved her so much, and I just want her back.” “Oh, cariño,” Isabel says, wrapping her arms back around Eddie and pulling him close. She holds him as his shoulders shake with helpless sobs, and runs a soothing hand through his hair like she always did when he was a little boy. “You will be alright, Eddito,” she promises softly. “Somehow, we always are.”

Cater plays little games on his phone like the TWST equivalent of Candy Crush, Eggy Car, or the Dino Game to unwind

Adding a bit onto that, one of his happiest moments was when his family was busy on his birthday and he could eat spicy ramen in peace while playing his silly little games

In his mind, Cater thinks of people as trends; they come and go and won't stay around forever

(TW: Eating Disorder) After his hatred for sweets started developing, Cater started throwing up whenever he had them (Bulimia or some form of it). Had to eat a load of sweets for an Unbirthday party? "Sorry, I have to go to the bathroom. CayCay will be back in a minute!" Sisters stuffing his face with it again? "Mom asked me to tend to her garden. One sec, sis!"

Riddle Rosehearts

(Book 1 spoilers) After his overblot, Riddle uses mantras to calm down, sorta like Pepa from Enchanto. "I have a never ending supply of patience." "This has no effect on my life." "I'm relaxed and at ease."

Riddle also uses music as a way to destress. Singing along to Happy by Pharrell Williams? Nope. He's rocking out to Monster by Skillet.

At least twice a month, he sneaks in to the kitchen and steals a tart. Just sits on the floor and shoves it in his face. Trey doesn't care as long as Riddle brushes his teeth afterward (he doesn't, he forgets)

The only reason he would was because of his mother watching over his shoulder. And after the bakery incident, his relationship with it got worse for a while. Though, as he knew that this was unhealthy, he eventually made a promise to himself. That he'd become the mage his mother could be proud of, so she'd allow him to have those breath-taking tarts.

Trey Clover

While baking, he listens to a mix of Nelly Furtado and Eminem. Specifically, Maneater, Promiscuous, Superman, Without Me, and Til' I Collapse.

Trey stuffs recipies in his fedora, like Vivo from... Vivo. At least, he did this when he first came to Night Raven to remember them.

Reminder: he was probably a nervous freshman once. Seeing that would probably be hilarious.

For his fourth year, Trey actually considered interning with Sebek's father.

Ace Trappola

He wet the bed until he was like 8; his brother still makes fun of him for it

His father was extremely close to beating Ace's ass when he found out how Ace treated the Ramshackle Prefect in the beginning. Ace's father is magicless as well and doesn't tolerate any bullshit

A few of his childhood friends go to RSA now, so he doesn't hold as much dislike towards the rival school

His mother is a sensitive topic, he usually doesn't bring her up unless he's making some sort of "motherless" joke. Ace usually only makes motherless jokes if he's made a similar joke about Deuce's dad (and if he's made a joke about an absent parent of Yuu's, if they have one)

Deuce Spade

Coping skills for his anger include: working out, listening to music, and arguing with Ace

He makes playlists not only for his friends, but for certain events in his life. Yes, Deuce did make playlists for the overblots (Riddle's included mostly songs about revolution

There was an inside joke about Deuce not knowing store-bought eggs aren't fertilized in his middle school gang, though he didn't realize it

(TW: Mental health issues) Deuce had little bouts of depression after he overheard his mom's phone call. Doubt would cloud his mind on whether he should stay and if his mother would be better off without him. He'd shake himself out of this thinking process by reminding himself that his mom would be alone if he wasn't there

and mcr has been a part of my life since 2006 when the girl i was obsessed with shared an earbud with me and showed me a new song on her ipod & i transcended (bc i was literally every emo stereotype black box dye hair backcombed and straightened with blonde ass eyebrows who spent every second of their day on myspace). no but i still love them dearly and they’re still always in my top 5 bands on spotify <3 i never really got into the fandom other than lurking but they’re always gonna have a place in my heart like mcr was the soundtrack of my teen years
