INTRODUCING VAMPIRE!RAFE CAMERON X HUMAN!READER

warnings: dark themes, obsession, dangerous love, secret affair, bloodplay
✧ in which centuries-old vampire rafe cameron met human!reader on a cold, rainy night, drawn to the warmth and vulnerability she exuded, despite the danger of his thirst for her blood
✧ rafe had lived through countless years, maintaining his distance from humans. he had kept his desires controlled, choosing instead to live in the shadows, distant from temptation. but when he met human!reader, her innocence and her scent were impossible to ignore
✧ their first meeting was a collision of fate—her laughter, soft and melodic, cutting through the tension between them. rafe knew the danger he posed to her, yet something in her eyes made him lose his resolve. the chemistry between them was undeniable
✧ one fateful evening, rafe couldn't hold back. he followed her home, his heart racing in a way he hadn’t felt in centuries. when she invited him inside, the lines between predator and prey blurred. a dangerous, intoxicating night followed, full of passion and dark temptation
✧ over time, rafe found himself unable to stay away from her. he kept visiting, unable to resist the pull she had over him. every touch, every laugh, every moment spent with her only deepened the obsession he had tried to deny for so long
✧ unable to watch her live in a rundown apartment, rafe started taking care of her. he moved her to a luxurious penthouse, ensuring her safety and comfort, but it was more than that. his actions were a way of keeping her close, of marking her as his
✧ the longer they continued their secret affair, the more human!reader became entangled in rafe’s world. unaware of his true nature, she fell deeper for him, her trust growing with every whispered promise.
✧ as their connection grew, so did rafe’s internal battle. torn between the centuries of control he had established and the raw, burning desire for the one thing he couldn’t have, rafe began to question whether he could keep his secret marriage and past hidden, or if his obsession with her would destroy everything
✧ for rafe, every stolen kiss, every heated touch, made it harder to resist the urge to break free from his past. but the question remained—could he love her without ruining her, or was he destined to pull her into the darkness he’d spent centuries hiding from the world?

VAMPIRE!RAFE CAMERON X HUMAN!READER : FIRST ENCOUNTER

the night felt wrong.
too still. too quiet. like the whole world was holding its breath.
you weren’t supposed to be here. not in this part of town, not at this hour, and definitely not alone. but bad decisions had a way of piling up, and now you were paying for it.
your footsteps echoed down the empty street, too loud in the silence. the streetlights above flickered, buzzing weakly against the thick, inky dark that pressed in from all sides. the air smelled like rain—like a storm waiting to break—but somehow, that wasn’t what unsettled you.
it was the feeling.
that deep, bone-chilling sensation of being watched.
your steps slowed. your breath hitched.
you didn’t turn around. didn’t move. just listened.
nothing.
but the longer you stood there, the heavier it got—the suffocating weight of something lingering just out of sight.
then—
"you shouldn’t be out here, sweetheart."
your body locked up.
the voice was deep, smooth, laced with amusement, but beneath it was something else. something sharp. something dangerous.
slowly, carefully, you turned.
and there he was.
rafe cameron.
standing beneath the broken glow of a streetlamp, half in shadow, half bathed in dim, flickering light. tall. still. completely, unnervingly calm.
your stomach dropped.
you didn’t know him, not personally, but you knew enough. he had a reputation, the kind whispered about but never really spoken aloud. the kind of presence that made people uneasy without ever understanding why.
but now, looking at him, you understood.
because rafe cameron wasn’t just intimidating. he was wrong.
his eyes gleamed in the dark, catching the weak light in a way that wasn’t natural, wasn’t human. too sharp. too knowing. like he had already figured you out, picked you apart, and decided exactly how much of a problem you were.
"you lost?"
his voice was almost mocking, like he already knew the answer.
your throat felt tight.
"no."
his smirk deepened. he took a slow step forward, and you swore the air shifted, like the space between you had suddenly grown smaller.
"then why do you look so scared?"
your heart slammed against your ribs.
"i’m not."
he laughed. low and smooth, like you had just told him something funny.
"sweetheart, i can hear your heartbeat."
your breath caught.
his eyes dropped—just for a second. barely a flicker. but you felt it. the way his gaze lingered at your throat.
your stomach turned.
"w-what do you want?"
he hummed, tilting his head, considering.
"maybe just a taste."
you took a step back.
he took a step forward.
"relax, baby. i’d be gentle."
your pulse roared in your ears. you wanted to move, wanted to run, but your body refused to cooperate, stuck in place under the weight of his stare.
his lips parted slightly, and the dim glow of the streetlight caught on something sharp.
fangs.
your blood turned to ice.
"you—"
"yes," he murmured, closing the space between you in an instant.
one second he was feet away, the next he was right in front of you, close enough that you could feel the coldness radiating off him, close enough that you swore the world tilted.
"poor thing," he said, voice softer now, almost… pitying.
his fingers lifted, barely brushing along your jaw, light as air, but it sent a full-body shiver through you.
"you smell sweet," he mused, tilting his head like he was thinking about something. "too sweet to be out here alone."
your hands clenched into fists at your sides, legs locked in place.
"please—"
his gaze snapped to yours, amusement fading, something darker taking its place.
"please what?"
your breath hitched.
"don’t—"
he smiled then. slow. sharp.
"you’re scared of me."
it wasn’t a question. it was a fact.
but before you could even react—before you could move, blink, breathe—he was gone.
just—gone.
the coldness of his presence, the suffocating weight of him—it all disappeared in an instant.
your body sagged, breath coming in sharp, uneven gasps.
you spun around wildly, searching, but there was nothing.
no movement. no sound.
just empty streets. just silence.
just the lingering, gut-wrenching certainty that this wouldn’t be the last time you saw him.

VAMPIRE!READER X WEREWOLF!RAFE CAMERON : FIRST ENCOUNTER

in the pale moonlight, the air seemed heavier, thicker than it should have been. y/n walked along the edge of the woods, her crimson eyes scanning the shadows. every instinct in her screamed that something was out there—something dangerous. something that wasn’t human.
the sound of rustling leaves made her freeze, her sharp gaze darting to the source. and then, emerging from the darkness, rafe cameron stepped into view. his tall, imposing figure loomed in front of her, his expression both familiar and foreign. the cocky smirk on his face only deepened the unease in her chest. there was something about him tonight—something she couldn’t place.
"you lost, sweetheart?" rafe's voice was laced with a taunting edge, as if he was testing the waters. his eyes, usually arrogant and cold, seemed almost predatory.
y/n didn't flinch. instead, she narrowed her glowing eyes at him, her lips curling into a faint sneer. "i could say the same about you, cameron."
his smirk faltered for a brief moment before he regained his composure. “you think you’re something special, don’t you?” rafe’s voice dropped into a low growl, and his eyes flicked over her, sizing her up.
“you’re not the only predator out here,” y/n responded, her voice dark, her fangs barely hidden as she spoke. “and you’re in my territory now.”
there was a dangerous tension in the air, something thick with unspoken hostility. rafe's golden eyes darkened as they locked onto hers, and for the first time, y/n saw a flicker of something more than the usual cocky arrogance—a flash of irritation, maybe even a challenge.
“you think you can take me on?” rafe scoffed, stepping closer, his broad chest puffing out. “i don’t care what you are. you’re still a girl, and i’m not some guy you can talk down to. i’ve been through things you can’t even imagine.”
“try me.” y/n took a step forward, a cold smirk tugging at her lips as she stared him down. “i’ve seen things you couldn’t begin to comprehend. you’re nothing more than an animal playing at being human.”
rafe’s eyes flashed with fury at her words. “you don’t know a damn thing about me,” he snarled, his jaw tightening as his body grew tense.
without warning, his body began to shift, the transformation violent and primal. rafe's muscles bulged, his skin stretched and cracked under the strain. his sharp nails elongated, tearing through his clothes as fur began to sprout along his body. his face contorted into something inhuman, his jaw becoming more pronounced as his teeth grew sharp. within moments, rafe stood before her, no longer just a man, but a massive, hulking werewolf, his eyes burning with a golden, predatory intensity.
“is this really necessary?” y/n asked, her voice dripping with disdain as she watched his transformation. “this is a bit much, don’t you think?”
rafe growled, his voice low and guttural. “you don’t get to talk to me like that anymore.” his claws scraped against the ground, leaving deep gouges in the dirt.
y/n’s lips parted, revealing her own sharp fangs. she wasn’t intimidated—if anything, she was more intrigued. she didn’t back down. “you think just because you’re bigger, i’ll be scared?” she laughed softly, her voice cold. “you’re just a dog.”
the tension between them snapped as y/n lunged, her claws swiping through the air. rafe barely managed to dodge, his body moving with the fluid grace of the beast he’d become. he retaliated with a snap of his powerful jaws, aiming for her throat, but she was too fast, her body twisting in the air as she narrowly avoided him.
the forest around them seemed to close in, the fight a blur of sharp claws and teeth, each of them pushing the other to their limits. rafe’s claws scraped across y/n’s arm, drawing blood, but she retaliated with a slash across his chest, leaving long, bleeding gashes. their snarls filled the night air, each one more feral than the last.
“you’re just like every other arrogant jerk i’ve met,” y/n spat, her voice a mix of anger and something else—something that almost felt like admiration. “thinking you’re untouchable. you’re nothing special.”
rafe growled, clearly furious, but his golden eyes held something more. frustration. “you have no idea what you’re dealing with.” he lunged again, this time catching her off guard, his sharp claws slicing across her side. the pain shot through her like fire, but she didn’t flinch. she didn’t give him the satisfaction.
“i’m not scared of you,” she hissed, slashing at his face. her claws dug deep, leaving a trail of blood across his cheek. “you don’t scare me, cameron.”
rafe’s eyes darkened, his wolf form towering over her as he let out an ear-splitting howl that echoed through the woods. he moved faster than she expected, his claws raking against her arm, pulling her down to the ground. his hot breath hit her face, his golden eyes filled with rage.
for a moment, there was a strange pause between them, both of them breathing heavily, eyes locked in a fierce battle of wills. the tension was unbearable, and though neither of them had said it, they both knew this was just the beginning.
“this isn’t over,” rafe growled, his voice dark and dangerous as he slowly backed away, his wolfish form still towering over her.
“we’ll see about that,” y/n replied, her eyes glowing brighter than ever, her fangs gleaming in the moonlight.

INTRODUCING VAMPIRE!READER CAMERON X WEREWOLF!RAFE

warnings: dark themes, enemies-to-lovers, primal tension, forbidden romance, bloodlust, power struggle
✧ in which vampire!reader, cold and immortal, meets werewolf!rafe cameron, a creature of instinct and fire, bound by a rivalry as old as time—but neither of them can resist the hunger that draws them together
✧ rafe had spent his whole life hating vampires. they were soulless, manipulative, unnatural. his pack had warned him to stay away, to kill on sight. but when he first laid eyes on her, standing in the moonlight with eyes like liquid silver, he felt something primal shift inside him.
✧ she was everything he despised—cold, calculated, dangerous. yet she moved like a shadow, effortless and graceful, her presence making the hair on the back of his neck stand. rafe knew he should run. or fight. but instead, he found himself frozen, locked in a silent battle of wills with the one thing he was supposed to destroy.
✧ their first encounter wasn’t gentle. it was fangs bared and claws drawn, bodies colliding in the darkness, testing the limits of control. she was stronger than she looked, faster than he expected. but rafe wasn’t weak—he was built to fight, to protect. and for the first time in his life, he felt like prey instead of predator.
✧ after that night, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. every full moon, every breath of cold air reminded him of the way she had looked at him—like he was something worth devouring. like she wanted to sink her teeth into him just as much as he wanted to claim her.
✧ it was dangerous. it was unnatural. but that didn’t stop them.
✧ the tension between them burned hotter with every stolen moment. a meeting in the woods, bodies pressed too close in the dead of night, whispered threats turning into something far more sinful. rafe hated her. he wanted her. and the worst part? he knew she felt the same.
✧ he could sense it in the way she lingered, the way her hands trembled ever so slightly when they touched his skin. like she was just as drawn to him as he was to her.
✧ but love between their kinds was impossible. rafe was a creature of the earth, of pack loyalty and instinct. she was a child of the night, cursed with immortality and hunger. they could never coexist.
✧ yet when she looked at him like that—when she whispered his name like a prayer—rafe couldn’t bring himself to care.
✧ the war between their worlds was inevitable. but the real question was… when it came down to it, would they betray their own kind for each other? or would they let the hunger consume them first?
