Question! Are we allowed to combine prompts and have that count as both days?

I wouldn't count them as both days because by that logic if someone managed to combine a prompt from every day into one big work, they'd have technically "completed" the challenge in like a day. The idea is to have 30 works for 30 days, so if you decide to combine two prompts for one day, you could use an alt prompt to fill the other

do you know of anything with female whumpee and male caretaker? i feel like this is such a rare pairing but im craving this content lately

Oh umm let me think. I'm not too into female whumpees but I watch a lot of tv shows lol. Here are some characters and shows you can take a look at. Funny enough you can flip most of these and whump either one of them lol. But these are all examples where I know the female gets whumps at least once in their show and is taken care of by the male lead.

You ever think about how Sky's entire world got turned upside down like...days before what was essentially his highschool graduation ceremony? And, like, my dude got the Skyloft approximation of a full ride to college by winning that one race, but by the time he's saved the world, it doesn't matter at all- this thing that mattered so much just days ago- because not only has he learned more than most of the professors know, but also the school is basically going to be abandoned now

They're going to the surface, they're going to live there. Sky- finished his adventure and saved his best friend, and his reward was losing everything he'd ever known in life EXCEPT Zelda.

No one treats him the same; he's the hero now. He knows things they don't. He just got out of highschool and now his teachers are suddenly the ones coming to him to ask how the world works. He was going to be a knight and he is now, butt his experience is so drastically different from all the other knights around him.

He's this huge world now, this place he only is beginning to understand, and because he's the hero, because he's been here longer, he's the one everyone else comes to with questions. He's their leader now,w hen before he was a lazy teenager they always chastised with warmth, trying to teach him to grow up.

He's still a kid, still younger than the knights, the professors, but he's also the only person whos got much of an idea what's happening other than Zelda. That's got to be weird for everyone. People will come to him with things but they'll doubt him because he's still young, or they'll want to teach him something only to decide not to because he's the hero, he doesn't need their instruction.

Like, the game ends all bitter sweet, but let's be real: by leaving Skyloft, he loses his home, his plans for the future, any conception e previously had of the world, the other half of his soul (his best friend and companion!), his childhood, and probably any sense of freedom he had now that he's got the fate and security of his people on his shoulders now.

And then he somehow ends up meeting the chain. All capable people, who (like his professors, his teachers, his neighbors) know what's going on even if he doesn't, who can handle themselves, who can protect themselves, who knows more than him and are better (seemingly) at this hero gig than him, and Sky? He can finally relax. He's silly again. He's taking naps. He's able to zone out without consequences. he doesn't need to be in control and he's fine with that. He's happy with that. As long as all is well, he's content to just exist here, just for now.

But the moment that peace and security of being with other heroes is threatened? Yeah, that's when the god-killer comes out.

Anyways, yeah, I think Sky's more than just a big softie and sleepy-head. Man has issues he is avoiding with the power of ignoring them and sleeping, but on some moments (like Miss Her, or the Sunset arc) we see that he slips sometimes.

Long of the short: I have Sky brainrot these days :)

I'm so excited for October 1st!!! I was able to fill 13 prompts last year, so I made it my goal to pass that. I did!! I'm currently at 17! I'm still aiming to complete, but I at least reached and passed my goal!! I'm so excited for everyone to read my stories. I'm soooo excited!!!

Whumpee suddenly crashes into Caretaker's shoulder or chest. C is shocked and starts looking for injuries. Instead W just starts sobbing. C can't do anything but wrap their arms around W until they stop crying.

I love it when they’re so emotional, all they can do is cling to the caretaker and cry. So much raw emotion!

Regarding the self-dx post: I never knew anything was off about me (exactly, but looking back, I see it now) until my dad started telling me that I was like him (ADHD-PI) and my sister noticed things as well. That started me looking up symptoms and tests. I would get high scores and relate to a whole lot of the symptoms. I support self-dx otherwise i wouldn't have asked my doctor & therapist about an official dx. I got a formal dx for confirmation, meds access (which help), and accommodations.

The actual post this ask is talking about was from around a month ago, but it got buried in my inbox, sorry! But yes, totally agree, and I’m glad you were able to get help!

1. favourite place in your country?

Although I am from North Germany and living not that far away from the sea, I actually like the mountainbike a lot. We have been to the Region "Harz" this Summer and it's just sooo beautiful. I could go back there right now and explore every cm of it.

20. which sport is The Sport in your country?

Definitely Football (or Soccer). Germans go crazy for it. But I'm not really a fan of that Sport. The World Cup 2006 was really great though. Such good gives from everyone.

27. favourite national celebrity?

Man I had to think hard about this. I think my favourite celebrity is Daniel Brühl. I even watched his very first TV movie when it aired.😆 And liked him right from the start.

No other whump blogs will answer me sadge. Do you have any good whump shows where the healing process takes a long time? I feel like everything I read it’s fixed by magic or time jumps.

Hmmmm that is a tricky one. Most of the time your gonna get some kind of time skip whether its a skip to the hospital or the hospital scene is skipped over or the whole recovery process is skipped over. Super annoying but inevitable. Let me see what I can find. We're lucky if we get the whump continued into one other episode. There's gonna be time skips in all of these though. I don't think there's anything out there (that I know of) that doesn't have a time skip at all. Episodes can only be so long ya know?

In 9-1-1 Buck gets crushed by a ladder truck in 2x18 and you see some of his recovery in the same episode. Then in 3x01 he has a pulmonary embolism because of his injury and then he's on blood thinners for several episodes and it's a whole thing for like 4 episodes.

Outlander season 4 (4x10-4x13) has Roger in long term captivity where he's beaten several times.

Kaz in season 2 of Shadow and Bone has the bruises from being beaten up over the course of several episodes.

Tony Dinozzo gets the plague in NCIS 2x22 and in the next episode he's still recovering from it.

Lassiter in Psych has an arm in a sling for several episodes because Timothy Omundson actually did hurt himself. Starts in 2x06 and goes for the next few episodes.

In that same vein Scott Caan got hurt twice while filming Hawaii Five-0 that was written into the show. At the start of the show he uses a cane for a knee injury and then episodes he's got his arm in a sling. You can see it in 8x05, 8x06, 8x08.

Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones season 2 is held captive for quite a long time and in season 3 he gets his hand chopped off and that whump lasts several episodes

Mike Warren in Graceland has two moments. He's stabbed in season 2 and that lasts for a bit and then shot at the end of season 2 which then lasts well into season 3 and becomes a big problem for him.

I see this in a lot of MacGyver fics (so not an original idea at all) and I love it. What do you think about the headcanon that Mac cannot tolerate drugs, like at all, and his body just reacts horribly, hence making hospitals and prescriptions even more of a hell than they already are?

He feels kind of… woozy? Yeah. People use that word a lot, and with the floor dipping and spinning beneath him, Mac is starting to think that this is exactly the kind of sensation they mean. He tries to stand, hoping to pin the floor down with his feet so that it will stop moving - but the Phoenix nurse catches him and gently pushes him back down onto the chair.

“Easy now Mr. MacGyver. That was just the antiseptic, so I need you to wait here for a minute while I prep the stitches.” She turns away again, fiddling with something on the countertop as she chatters. Mac blinks heavily and focuses on his breathing. It’s too shallow, he’s- he’s reacting, he needs to say something but his traitorous tongue sits heavily in his mouth when he tries to swallow. 

“You’ll be right as rain in no time, don’t worry! That was a real nasty scrape you got back there, Agent.” Her back is to him, she can’t see her patient’s distress. Mac tries to reach out, but his depth perception is way off. His hand swipes at empty air.

He inhales carefully through his teeth, trying to squeeze enough air into his lungs to ask for help. His throat is swollen, squeezing anaphylaxis choking him from the inside. Mac knows the symptoms from plenty of previous experience. 

Why hadn’t he been paying attention?? God, he was just so tired from the mission that he had closed his eyes, slumped back in the chair instead of watching what chemicals were being used. Mistake.

“Now, if you could just- MacGyver? Sir?” Mac slumps forward with a moan, and the poor nurse catches an armful just in time. She’s the new hire; Mac can’t remember her name, and her ID tag is too blurry to read now… His oxygen-starved brain takes a moment to feel guilty.

“Oh no you- HELP! I need help in unit six!! MacGyver I-”

The door swings open, and Jack strides in from where he was no doubt waiting just outside. He takes one look at the nurse struggling to prop up Mac and rushes forward to relieve her. “Mac! Hey, buddy easy now. You gotta breathe.”

The nurse rushes to the door to flag a supervisor, then starts rummaging through her emergency drawer. Jack glances over at the tray and grimaces.

“Always with the damn iodine. There’s a note in your files but it probably got buried under all the OTHER crap you’ve had a reaction too…” Jack taps lightly at Mac’s cheek, firm hands bracing along the sides of his neck to keep Mac’s drooping head upright. Jack’s voice drops to seriousness. “C’mon now dude keep your eyes on me. Slow inhales, right? Let’s keep it calm, don’t look away or close- Hey! Mac, no Mac, don’t you dare fade out on m-”

The world goes black, but Mac knows his partner will wake him soon.He’s in good hands.
