Thank you @basilbellona for once again tearing my heart out and stomping on it with an au. This time where devoted, self-sacrificing hegemol believes he can take the place of what he sees as a child, and spare the Pure Vessel its fate as Radi's keeper. Only he underestimates his needs as a previously very social beetle, and The Radiance takes advantage of this to a high degree, while also finally experiencing what it's like to have a listening ear and someone to tell your fears to. Toxic codependency seems to be the running theme of hollow knight.

For not being biologically related, Grimm sure does have mocking brother energy (and share some tastes in music).

Grimm doesn't feature much in SGFM, but this would be their dynamic if/when he knew/knows

Someone recently asked for refs of SGFM Radiance so I figured I'll put them here! I doodle characters when I'm planning a story but not in the headspace to write, so I have lots of messy sketches stored away. I might share em eventually

Chapter Summary: After settling into a new "safehouse", the former god of light finds herself in a demeaning position and at odds with the lady of the house.

Author's Notes: Reader's discretion is advised for extreme snootiness (and inherent classism) as well as bullying.

Although Radi is the protagonist, she's still not a nice person! It's a long way to go on the road to any sort of redemption.
