this is a bit of a long shot but does anyone know who the people were who made the sexymax2019 ARG back in 2018? i had a link to a q&a one of the creators did but either they've changed they blog url (likely) or remade bc i can no longer view the post outside of wayback machine. i'd like to credit them properly bc im including this in my thesis and would rather not be all "yeah it was two teens whose online handles i don't know"

Mainly for those unaware of how ARGs work:

A lot of people are now gamejacking the current ARG. Gamejacking, if you don't know, is inserting yourself into the story. A lot of people are now making their own add ons and creepy blogs/posts to act like they are also a part of the story. This is very common among newer fans of Alternate Reality Games. Older fans of ARGs and such know that YOU SHOULD NOT DO THIS! WHY YOU SHOULDN'T: It causes confusion, it muddles with already existing and future information, promotes MISinformation, and might anger or upset the creator. Its MUCH different than participating and searching for clues (it's a game after all). A lot of participants in the sexymax2019/lovely5500 ARG are now sending out codes and creepy messages to bloggers about it. UNLESS YOU ARE A PART OF THE CREATOR'S PLANS AND HAVE TALKED THIS THROUGH WITH THEM, AVOID DOING THIS!

New Arg?

hey yall! i think i found a new tumblr arg that some ppl might be interested in looking into - long post ahead

it started off with a blog named bledinginthewoods, run by a 16 year old boy named Andrew. He started posting some really weird text posts ( crytyping , creepy text posts of something following him, ect.)

TRIGGER WARNINGS: GENERAL CREEPY THINGS, LOUD NOISES, RELIGIOUS THEMES, ECT.

LONG POST AHEAD!

It started with just a trauma/vent blog, but then it got.. weird.

(first post, halloween.)

He seems to talk a lot about dogs, and one particular one called a Watchdog.

It seems that recently he had went back to his house, but something went wrong.

He headed home, saying he was still afraid of his dad/wasn’t ready for it to get dark. He kept saying he was looking for a door in the house to get out, supposedly from his dad.

Then, today (11/5/18) the blog updated again, but not by Andrew. A girl named Annabelle.

She started updating about her life, and she has her own blog @strawberry-teacups, but it all tied back from the video and the cake.

Annabelle had gotten a cake from her dad earlier that day/ the day before, and put it in the fridge.

Then, the next time she checked, the cake was gone.

Then she posted about her bathroom door. It kept making weird noises, but nothing was on the other side.

1. Painting from the Principalities page

This is “Jacob Wrestling with the Angel” by Gustave Dore (but painted version).

You can read about it here, but briefly Jacob was wrestling with the angel/god and won. The text before (Sickness will not take thee!) indicates that Jacob is probably Anita and angel is her sickness.
